Shallow oceans separated Nubia's two landmasses, which consisted of rolling fields split by massive mountain ranges. Nubia was a world nurtured into self-sufficiency and abundance. The surface lacked for water, but giant underground aquifers were pumped to the surface, allowing for irrigation of the otherwise arid fields. The planet's warm temperatures and long growing season supported immense agricultural farms. The mountains, rich with ore deposits, including bronzium, were filled with small mining towns and attracted business and manufacturing from around the galaxy. Dry areas unsuitable for farming or mining were utilized for urban sprawl.

Massive agricultural farms continue to produce large amounts gains, fruits and vegetables for sale in the cities and for export beyond Nubia.
A large shipment grains are moved onto repulsor-trucks and hauled to the spaceport just West of the capital city of Nuba.

Bronzium mines continue to refine ingots for sale in the cities and for export outside of Nubia.
Many other refineries produce many other Ores, Metals and Minerals for sale on and off world. The mountain range provide deep veins for excavation.

Gold, Nickle, Platinum, Silver and Titanium are among the other major mining operations currently at work in the mountainous ranges of Nubia.
Agronomists and Horticulturists are employed by the hundreds to maintain the crops.
Other crops being cultivated are, nuts, seeds and rices.

Cultivation of produce continues in the lush farmlands just outside the the cities and harvest machinery move about on automated programming.
Traffic to and from the many mines dotting the mountain ranges continues at a regular pace, refining ore, mineral and various metals.
Repulsor-trucks and the rail service move the items in and out.

Nubia is temperate. Downright pleasant, really. The planet's geography can be summed up as grassy, rocky, and city-y; accordingly, its major exports are food, ore, and high-tech items. As we fly the Yama within the troposphere, on what happened to be a basically cloudless night, the terrain was illuminated with tiny points of light here and there where little farming enclaves lay in repose 'til sunrise would hasten them to work.
But even from several thousand kilometers out-- in fact, even from space-- the glittering jewel Nuba City was visible. Around the same time that we had entered atmosphere, there was a TL-1800 cargo freighter doing the same. Its engines roared past us as it took a more direct route to the Nuba City Spaceport. That is not where we are headed.
Even if parking is free (which, given that it's the capital city, is probably not the case), the rioting has made HNN headlines. I have no intention of leaving my ship where it might be vandalized or stolen. Instead, we intend to land the ship within the mountain range at the east border of Nuba City and simply walk into town. It will be a long walk-- several dozen kilometers, if we find a good spot-- but permitting the terrain and distance to be a criminal deterrent and avoiding landing space fees is always worthwhile.
And remember why we're here: we are trying to get public transit to Corulag so that we can conduct business without being traced back to Kamino. This much effort is well worth the trouble when we consider how much trouble it might cause us later if we are too reckless. It's why the Yama has no coordinate record in its ship computer, why the DP20 frigate is all the way at the fringe of the system, why we are here instead of Corulag in the first place. It's why Tyranus killed Sifo-Dyas and ordered the GAR in his name, why he erased Kamino from the archives, why Sidious used Qey'tek. It's the nature of the Sith to be secretive. Knowledge is very much power, and denying power from any who might oppose you is essential.
And my greater mission: for anyone to pursue me, they must be at least good enough to see through the ruse. Transcend, or be transcended.
The Nacaan Mountains is the name given to the range that is just to the east of Nuba City (or so the open source map tells me). And each individual mountain has a name, too; those being, from south-to-north, Last Mountain (I wonder why they named it that), Antiqua Mountain, Overlook Mountain and Steel Mountain (which are side-by-side), Grinder Mountain, Forlorn Mountain, Blue Mountain, and they extend further to the north from there. Solitary Ridge is at the feet of Grinder and Overlook mountains, and extends in a moderate curve past the northeast border of Nuba City. In fact, Nuba City is literally nestled at the western base of the mountain range. Perhaps in the pre-technological era of the planet this location was ideal for mining resources or utilizing natural terrain as a defense, and then it simply remained where it was. At any rate, it's to my benefit now, so I won't complain.
Within a small clearing of the trees that reach high near the apex of Overlook Mountain I set the Yama down. Aire and I disembark; we carry little with us other than our credit chips and our weapons. Wordlessly we prepare to go into the city, voicelessly we prepare for the hike ahead. Devient is on my face, Freedom adorning my torso, Trogdor at my back and Crisis and Crux on opposite sides of my hips. Silence is on Aire's left arm, Sytryl on her right; Discord is clipped on her belt, Doux and Amer cover her hands. Within his robes, Tal's saber lay dormant; yet his staff was openly in his hand. Aire stood at my left, Tal at my right.
With this, and the Dark Side our servant, couldn't we conquer the entire planet?
Yet again, that is not why we are here. We head off in silence, taking the long trip down the mountainous terrain which will eventually take us to the east side slums of the city of Nuba and the heart of everything.

*The trip to Nubia's surface was a silent one, though that wasn't unexpected: Ryu and I had barely exchanged more than a few words since leaving Kamino. While I had spent the duration of our hyperspace journey in communication with the lieutenants and other officers I'd left behind, relaying orders and laying the framework for a coup- an operation most familiar to me by this point. My former Master had been hard at work as well, I could see. T'was a most curious sidearm he'd added to his arsenal. I made a note to inquire about it in the future.*
*Our descent into one of Nubia's mountain ranges was mercifully short; less than an hour after leaving the Vengeance my boots were upon solid ground once more. Taking a deep breath of the thin mountain air and remembering another time Ryu and I had climbed to such a place, I allowed myself a quiet murmur of laughter. Times really do change.*
*My saber was concealed beneath the heavy black robes draped across my slender frame, but I carried my staff openly. The peculiar gem affixed to its top pulsated with a crimson energy. I appeared ill-equipped next to my companions, but my physical armament had never been vast. The tools that support my power are just as effective, but less mundane. As we begin our hike down a narrow, craggy path, I find myself bringing up the rear of the trio. It isn't until the Yama is out of sight that I speak.*
"Perhaps next time we can bring along a few speeder bikes, Ryu." *The irritation is obvious in my voice, but hollow. I didn't expect a response.*
*In fact I was far more interested in studying Aire as we walked. She'd performed well back on Kamino, demonstrating an impressive grasp of combat tactics and technique. And it was obvious she'd yet to come into her prime. She would be a formidable warrior one day, though if she would rise beyond her station was yet to be seen.*

*A crimson blur. A menacing hum. To the ordinary being, that’s all the human senses could interpret as a man leapt into the air. He flipped once, twice, and a third time before his feet landed gracefully on the soft, grassy ground of the steamy jungle. In a flash of light, his crimson lightsaber arced overhead and came searing down, slicing through the bluish-green flesh of the acklay. In a roar of pain, the acklay fell to the ground, its balance lost from the detachment of its front, right leg.
The Sith Lord stalked forth, bringing his blade to bear, licking his lips at the thought of putting the beast down. In one last desperate attack, the acklay lashed out with it’s left claw but the human retaliated with a simple flourish of his blade. Another roar. Another severed limb smoking in the wet grass.
The Sith Lord stood there, clad in his crimson robes, his hood casting a black shadow across his face, hiding his features. His white, talon-like fingers wound intricately around the black hilt of his crimson sword. In a hiss, the blade deactivated, and the hilt was returned to his black belt, on the left side of his waist.
Suddenly, the air around the duo fell silent as the man raised his hand and clenched it in a fist. In response, the acklay rose into the air, like a puppet on invisible strings. It tried to cry out, but the sounds were muffled and gagged. There was an audible snap as the acklay’s neck went limp, its entire body shuddering before becoming lifeless, ended by the Sith.
Releasing his fist, the acklay fell to the ground, joining the other four corpses of its brothers and sisters.
Breath ragged and sweat dripping down his brow, Andor finished his workout. Walking over to the simulation control panel, he pushed a red button. In a flash of light, the Felucian jungle surrounding him was replaced by a bare, white room approximately 30 feet by 30 feet. Leaving the room, he shed himself of his crimson cloak, revealing his black tunic. Reaching the kitchen of his house, he poured himself a glass of water and grabbed a red apple from the counter. Walking across the room, he sat cross-legged onto a black circular matt. Taking a sip of water and then letting his teeth sink into the flesh of the apple, he closed his eyes and began to meditate on past events that had come and had long since passed, the events that had ultimately led to Andor’s abandonment and the fall of the Sith Empire and the fall of the Dark Tide.*

It had really begun with the Sith assault on the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. A group of Sith, including himself, his apprentice Gabriel, Darth Anonymous, Sinistra, Max and a select few others. They had ravaged the Council’s chambers before moving deeper into the temple. That was when Andor and his apprentice had moved to the Hangar Bay to prevent any escape. It was there were Andor himself slaughtered dozens of Jedi.
Leaving Gabriel to the task of guarding the hangar, Andor had then moved on to the library where he masked himself as a warrior of the light, and convinced the librarian to give him access to the archives to send an encrypted message to other temples requesting for immediate assistance. Andor killed the librarian and had soon found the locations of the other Jedi Temples for future Sith attacks.
With a successful attack on Coruscant, the Sith soon left and proceeded to Corellia where he single-handedly infiltrated the academy and began to gain the trust of a few Jedi Masters, including Mike Frantz. He spent a long time there, trying to gain their trust and learn their secrets when finally he had been compromised.
A deadly battle ensued and Andor had somehow made it out alive. His memory of the battle was damaged and he couldn’t exactly calculate what had happened. He always wondered if he had killed Master Frantz, but he simply couldn’t remember.
As he was leaving the planet, to report back to Kuat and Lord Sinistra of his findings, Andor was called to Korriban by his master, Cronal, to help with putting down a traitorous Army Minister, Laele of the Sith Empire. But it had been an ambush, a trap. The Army minister and the Navy minister had secretly allied themselves and with the attention drawn to Korriban, Selveen Khar struck down the Emperor.
The Sith fled, with Sinistra trying to regain control, taking lead of the Galactic Empire. Andor didn’t follow as he returned to Nubia, sending his fleet into hiding until he knew he was no longer being hunted by the traitors.
Now, he had wished he had stayed with Sinistra and fled to Kuat, but the Force had guided him elsewhere.
His eyes opened from his mediation. Looking out the window, Andor had noticed the sun had set and the sky was black as pitch, not a star in the sky.

The Sith Lord had made up his mind. He was going to travel to Kuat to seek an audience with Sinistra and to pledge allegiance to the Galactic Empire.
It had been two days since the idea first crossed his mind and Andor had relentlessly meditated on the idea. Was the Force showing him what the next chapter in his life was? He wondered why. What awaited him at Kuat? Only time would tell.
Andor stepped foot outside his home, a home he had not abandoned since the fall of Dark Tide. At one point, he had been the Emperor of Nubia, the citizen's leader. But he gave that up long ago to go hunt Jedi. Turning around, he locked the door. Muttering a couple incantations of Sith Magic, the house was then concealed. He didn't know how long the spell would last, since he wouldn't be there to upkeep it and his abilities in Sith magic were limited.
The Sith opened the cockpit and jumped into his Mark VI Interceptor. With a flip of the ignition, the duel engines roared to life. The starfighter hovered into the air and then speed into the atmosphere, racing for Nubia's orbit.

With a Thunderous clap the Broadside Cruiser broke the sound barrier as it continued it's descent to Nubia Star Drives main headquarters just east of Nuba City from the approach vector set.
Crews continued to prepare for a restocking of fuel, supplies and ammunition, maybe a little down time as well.
