Ossus. Great Jedi Library. Record Room.
Vlad had been sitting at the console, continuing to transfer whatever data he could relevant to help further the Knights of Ren and their cause. Lists of future force sentitives, tactics and strategies, personnel files. Everything that was not encrypted was being transfered. The transfer was already at 50% complete. The sound of a lightsaber plunging through the door gave him a start. He twisted in his seat to observe for a few seconds. Estimating his remaining time, Vlad returned his attentions to the data transfer. He then skimmed the list and prioritise what was more important and what could be left behind. Lessening the load of data being transfered sped up the transfer tremendously. As it pinged that it was finished, Vlad plucked the data-chip from its port and slid it into the inner pocket of his robes. Clearing the data he had just been viewing, he brought up the security schematics, to make it appear as though he was trying to override the lockdown. A reasonable assumption, since no one had witnessed his arrival. And he was garbed in the traditional brown cloak of the Jedi, and his light powered exoskeleton was humming softly beneath it. Clothes really had no bearing on him since he was encased almost entirely in the exoskeleton. Modesty and protection weren't an issue. And he was well known among the higher echelons of the Jedi Order here on Ossus. Frequenting the the Academy here on a regular basis had it's perks. No one would suspect him. Inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly, he continued to work, knowing whoever was on the other side of the door would be through momentarily...

As the defenders retreated up the staircase into the Temple, Harnan and Omega Company pushed onwards and upwards, cutting down the stragglers. He paused halfway up as he heard explosions going off far in the distance, and a small alert popped up on his HUD alerting him to the damaged walkers. He turned to look out towards the forest, as Omega Company kept making their way forward
The three walkers crews were overcome by the surprise attack launched on them by the Jedi, their crews being quickly taken out. Like the Jedi had hoped, the surprise attack had afforded them a chance to damage a couple walkers each, before said walkers fired off a couple shots back as they came down. Meanwhile, several of the AT-XTs started turning their fire upon the rampant AT-STs
Harnan returned his attention back to the Library, as he resumed making his way up the stairs. At this stage, the Alliance forces and Jedi had already withdrawn inside the Library, and their own defences had already been turned upon them. So losing the walkers was not too much of a problem. Harnan quickly made his way back to the front of the Stormtrooper line, with the Riot Control Trooper shields being used to absorb the blaster fire that was raining down the steps at them. This helped keep the casualties of Omega Company low, with only a half dozen Stromtroopers having been killed or injured. As they neared the top of the staircase, the formation changed into more of a spear point as they charged into the front lines, blaster bolts filling the air once more, as Harnan forced his way into close combat, taking on a pair of defenders

*Thriesa continued their march, suffering minimal casualties before the Jedi defenses turned on themselves. This was followed by a transmission from Vladimir, informing Soku of his successful intrusion and subsequent hacking of the defense systems. Soku smirked; the initiate was proving his worth rather quickly. Thriesa continued their march, preparing to ascend the library steps behind Omega Company, but they halted at the explosions that rocked the air behind them.
Soku turned, seeing the turncoat AT-STs wreaking havoc during the brief confusing they had created. Soku was briefly taken aback by the apparent treachery, but then his senses informed him of the truth: His hated foe had discreetly changed position, taking two with him to sabotage from the rear. Soku momentarily felt angry with himself for not expecting the bold move, as Aerandir was known for them. He actually turned completely around, prepared to march towards the rear and personally engage him. But he held fast, knowing that, regardless of whatever skills they might have, they were outnumbered; such a move would only be minimally effective.
So Soku again faced forward, continuing to lead the army up the steps into the Library. If Aerandir survived—and Soku had little doubt he would—they would meet again inside. But Soku would be more effective during the minimal time separated from his influence than he would attempting to confront him in the open.*

* It seemed to take an eternity to cut through the locking mechanism of the doors sealing the records room with his Lightsaber but he had finally gotten through. With the wave of his hand the large durasteel doors screech as they slide back open, revealing a lone brown cloaked figure sitting at the center of large data console. Security lockdown procedures filled the screens around the figure, and from what one could tell...it was a Jedi trying to reboot the defense system.
Aeryn keeps his lightsaber on but pointed casually at the ground at his side, he could hear the noises of the battle below drawing ever closer and he knew there time here was running short. He begins walking forward into the Records Room and speaking to the brown robed figure inside *
" Stand and identify yourself "

Vlad's head snapped up from the console as he looked over at the young Jedi who had just cut his way into the Record Room. He frowned.
"Was that really necessary? Cutting through the door, I mean? Have you learned nothing from your masters? Patience is a virtue, young one. Rushing aggressively into a situation without thinking gains you nothing. Surely you do not think an enemy agent could get this far undetected do you?"
As if to reaffirm his point, he tapped two more keys, and what remained of the door behind the Jedi opened as the lockdown was lifted. Sliding back the chair and rising to his feet, Vlad took the customary pose of the Jedi. Hands clasped at his torso, covered by the folds of his robe.
"I am Vladimir Savage. A member of the Jedi Order. And who might you be? I've trained many Padawans here, and yet I do not recognize you."
For now, there was nothing else Vlad could do, except play the situation out. Having had previous ties to the Jedi, especially here on Ossus itself, made what he was saying true. Despite not being an active member within the Order anymore, very few actually knew of his self-imposed exile status, and those that did supported his decision, as he continued to prove he was a close ally to the Order. Though this ruse would only work until such time as the Order itself, learned of Vlad's new found alliance with the Knights of Ren, his joining of the Knights was still so recent that no one would know, aside from Soku and Harnan. And they were busily attacking as a diversion.

Harnan and Omega Company continued their push deeper into the library. They began to spread out then, once inside the structure itself. Whilst it thinned their ranks, it forced the Jedi and Alliance defenders to spread out as well. Harnan blocked sabers and blaster bolts alike, working with a couple of his Riot Control Trooper guards to team up against individual defenders. There was still too much of a resistance for him to break away and see if there was any information on the items he sought here. If he was lucky, then the information that Vlad had collected might include something he could use. But at the same time, it would be better if it did not. That way the First Order would not have any records on what he sought

* Aeryn does not feel any immediate dangers through the force, which was strange. He thought he had felt something unusual earlier but it must have a been a culmination of stress and the other jedi's negative feelings in the force. Keeping his lightsaber still activated but casually at his side, Aeryn points back behind him towards the echoing sounds of battle *
" Really ? The Library is under attack and your going to try and give a lecture ?"
* This was one of the reasons why he had become a Jedi, so he did not have to deal with jedi like this one*
" Call it overzealous It doesn't matter to me, you know this system has back up upon on back up. You would be of more use down stairs "
* Aeryn turns around to exit the Records Room and back down to the battle *
" Your precious knowledge will be lost if they take this Library. I expect to see you down there "
* Aeryn leaves the Records Room to head back down to the battle below*

*The enemy didn't take too long to recover from the surprise attack; Aerandir had to reluctantly admit being impressed by this. Which meant it was almost time to abandon the vessels, but not before he made sure to take care of every single walker pointing their cannons at Michelle. Similarly, she covered him and Groelle, but it was clear that they would have to abandon the vessels sooner rather than later. If the walkers had some actual mobility, Aerandir grumbled, they could hold their ground longer.
He sent little more than a nudge to his comrades through the Force, before he stood and bolted up through the upper hatch of the AT-ST. As he did so, his lightsaber flew into his palm, the mist blue blade searing to life. He drew his hand back and threw it in an arc before leaping clear of the walker, mere seconds before detonation. He rolled to a crouch and watched his lightsaber curve through the air and cleave free the cannons of the walker that had destroyed his weapon. This would suffice as a counterattack for now; the heavy artillery had been heavily cut down thanks to the three of them, and mitigated the First Order's one major advantage.
His weapon returned, metal hilt smacking into his palm, even as the other two hijacked walkers went down. But his sister and the Togorian had made it out just in time as well, and he quickly rendezvoused with them. They then darted back towards the Library, fighting their way through the meager forces that remained. Most of them had gotten inside... Terrific. Aerandir harbored some worry for Mina's safety, but all he had to do was get inside and to her location, carving through any troopers or Knight of Ren alike that would dare stand in the way of a father's wrath...*

After the Jedi's raid, the mechanised unit had been heavily damaged. In total, they had last three quarters of their strength. Leaving them with a pair of AT-STs and three AT-XTs. The walkers took a moment to regroup, before resuming their bombardment of the outside of the Library
Harnan struck down a pair of Alliance Troopers, before rounding a corner into a long and wide hallway. He pulled his shield close to his chest, and shifted his spear into a phalanx soldier position. His sights set upon the other end of the hallway where Aeryn had appeared. Of all the force users that could have appeared, it just had to be him. It seemed that the galaxy did have some sense of humour I've not had much chance to say this, but you have provided me the perfect opportunity... Traitor! The Imperial Knights were a useless order. Derived from the time of the Fel Empire. Nicademus had felt oathbound to incorporate them into the First Order. Though, Harnan had heard whispers that it had more to do with one of their female members. But this treachery would not go unpunished. The Imperial Knights would be exposed for what they are, and then one less misguided group would exist within the First Order I will deal with you... and then your brothers and sisters within the Imperial Knights will pay dearly for your actions...
With the security lockdown having been lifted, Omega Company was able to move more freely throughout the Library. One such expedition, was that of four Riot Control Troopers. A series of blockaded hallways had opened up, causing the fireteam to explore further within. They moved deeper, their shields raised and blasters at the ready, taking out the half dozen or so Alliance Troopers that had been sitting in waiting, in case anyone had penetrated this far. By the time they reached the final area, two of them had drawn their Riot Control Baton's, while the other two still had their blasters at the ready

* Aeryn stares at the Knight of Ren at the opposite end of the corridor, Harnan he thinks to himself. Of all places he had to fight one of the most experienced and powerful Ren it had to be in kriffing hallway. Between the shield and the small area, Aeryn knew he would be forced to move generally in two directions. Forward or back, retreat and hope to find a better suited area for his acrobatic fighting style or push forward and over power him. Through the force Aeryn could feel the Jedi in the central areas behind Harnan dying and getting injured, the choice was then made. He would move through the Knight of Ren like any other obstacle and get to his fellow Jedi who were in need. *
" I have been waiting try my hand against one of your lot, I am glad it gets to be you Harnan"
* Aeryn reaches behind his back grabbing his second lightsaber in his left hand. Activating the weapon the silver blade comes to life, now both his cyan and silver blade hum in unison ready for the battle ahead of him. *
"The Imperial Knights where just a means to accomplish my mission, you and the First Order will fall just like the others in the past"
* Aeryn gathers the force to him, he knows he would have to overwhelm Harnan with speed and get past his shield. Get in close, eliminate the use of his shield and spear and end it quickly. With out a further moments notice he springs forward, and the battle begins*

*The sudden override of the Library's lockdown had been quite a concern for the female guard captain, who had led away and hidden a small group of younglings. There were twelve, all told, including the visiting Master's seven-year-old daughter. All their lives were in the captain's hands, and the First Order had broken in further than anticipated. Almost too easily; the captain refused to believe they were this far in on their own strength.
But their little alcove was on the verge of discovery; there were four beings fast approaching, in the wake of death they had caused. Here, the Jedi and the children were supposed to have been hidden, protected, but now she could not ensure that. And she had no intentions of letting them reach her before engaging her, for that would mean the younglings were in even greater danger.
So, after instructing the children to remain here, she moved out into the open hallways, beginning with unleashing a Force push upon the four troopers that were coming this way. In the same instant, her green lightsaber snapped to life, masking the sound of the door sliding shut behind her; even if she failed, she could hopefully convince them she had been alone.
But she had no intention of failing.*

Harnan smirked as he moved a couple feet deeper into the hallway as Aeryn charged at him, the Jedi's twin blades aglow. It was the most common offensive used against him. But it would not work. He had spent countless hours training to combat nimble opponents with help from Atlantia and Illaria. He came to a stop and waited for Aeryn to close the remaining distance Come then... to your death...
The four Riot Control Troopers barely saw the Jedi appear, before being pushed back on to their butts. The group managed to quickly recover, just as the Jedi activated her saber. They brought their shields up, with the front two troopers advancing, brandishing their batons, whilst the rear pair provided covering blaster fire

* Within the blink of an eye Aeryn closes the distance between himself and Harnan, putting his weight and momentum into his first strike against Harnan's shield with the lightsaber in his right hand hoping to knock the Knight Of Ren of balance. Aeryn keeps his left saber free ready to block a strike from Harnan's spear. While the first strike is being made, Aeryn stretches out into the Force using a technique he had favored for hand to hand combat..Shatterpoint. Through the force he begins to probe Harnan's shield, spear, armor and even his body looking for any weak points he could take advantage of. *

*Their recovery was swift, disciplined, but so was her own. Her blade danced to meet the blaster bolts that came her way, attempting to send a few of them back at the troopers. However, they only found their shields, which negated the blows. She moved in closer; standing still would give them too much reason to believe she was defending something, and she didn't want that. There, she engaged the two baton-wielding troopers, having heard of their strange lightsaber-repelling weapons from intel reports. How they did so, she was unsure, but they seemed related to the electric stave weapons that dated back to the Clone War era. Fortunately she was armed with that knowledge, or she might have been caught off guard the moment her attack was repelled.
It was not an easy challenge, attempting to dual two troopers with lightsaber-resistant baton while two more shot weapons in their direction. She attempted to send one of the melee attackers out of range with the Force while she dueled the other; this way, she was easily able to disarm and defeat him before repelling blasterfire once more. The other melee trooper stood and returned to the fray, an attack she managed to dodge and fight back with, using him as a figurative shield between herself and the blasters. But the troopers only spread out, aiming at an angle, making an attack difficult. As a result, she left herself open to a blow to the abdomen, sending her backwards with a grunt. She landed on her feet but staggered, though she was able to collect herself enough to deflect a shot directly to its sender, putting the trooper down.
She'd be fine, despite the smell of scorched fabric filling her nostrils. Just two to go, and her somewhat-slowed movements wouldn't be too much of a problem. She moved in again, managing to get inside the melee trooper's defenses and cut him down. But a well-timed and well-aimed shot took her in the shoulder. More shots followed. Despite the time, she managed to bring her weapon to her defense in time... but she had only enough ability to deflect one bolt, for the next made their marks. Unable to defend herself or fight back, she slumped and crumpled to the ground, her last thoughts filled with the lament of her failure.*

As Aeryn closed the distance and tried to strike at his shield, Harnan smirked and pushed back, to slam Aeryn against his shield and knock him back. Aeryn might have been moving, but Harnan was a stationary object and with his feet planted as they were, it gave him the advantage here. He struck forward with his spear then, aiming between the two sabers
The final Trooper took a moment to survey the scene. Three of his brethren fallen, all to take down one Jedi. But it was over. His blaster was low, but he still had his baton to fall back to if he needed it. He then moved his attention from the dead bodies, to the hallway, looking around for what exactly had demanded the protection of a Jedi Knight. He tried remembering where the Jedi had first appeared from and looked for any door controls. It took only a few seconds before he tripped the door control, allowing him into the room where several Jedi Younglings/Padawans were gathered Well, hello there kid's... It's nothing personal... Just business... He brought his shield close and raised his blaster, ready to start shooting them all

*The moment their Knight protector had left, Mina had huddled with the other children, clutching her retracted staff close for protection. She had no idea what was out there, what the woman was currently up against, but it would be nothing... right? Jedi were strong, and if they could storm and wipe out an entire Sith Temple, then they could handle whatever was in their halls, right? And yet now she felt the only protection was her weapon, the sounds of battle just out in the corridor filling her ears.
Then, suddenly, she felt the most inexplicable sense of loss in the back of her mind, something taken away from her, subconsciously causing her fingers to curl tighter around the rod in her hands. Something was gone... and she knew exactly what it was: Their protector. She... she was dead?! It seemed the other children felt it as well, for they started to squirm and whimper and otherwise panic. Mina took it more in stride; she had known loss already. Had known despair when her fathers had been taken from her and she had been thrown unceremoniously into a cold cell with several other children. No comforts, no amenities, only the stale, filthy air of the dungeon.
The seven-year-old be lying to herself if she said she didn't fear it happening again; in fact, for a moment she feared as though it were imminent. But her father... her new father had taught her early on to tame her fear. That it was the basis of her survival instinct. "Learn from it, but don't let it control you."
But she had thought far too long, for the door the Knight had closed for their protection now slid open, revealing one of the First Order stormtroopers. He seemed fully intent on not capturing them, but killing them with his blaster. Her eyes widened and—perhaps driven by a fit of panic, or perhaps refusal to go down easily—she thrust both of her hands forward, still gripping the staff. The Force answered to her call, focused on the weapon in the white-armored being's hands, knocking it loose as it clattered to the floor.
Mina blinked, surprised at herself, but her defensive mind already took over. Her fingers shifted, triggering the activation of her staff, which expanded to full length. She shifted her grip to one more comfortable and stood there, silently daring the trooper to come any closer. If she had survived this long, then she was going to prolong that, and win her own survival if she must.*

* It feels like he had just run head long into a durasteel door as he connects with Harnan. The Knight of Ren doesn't budge, his stance absorbing the attack leaving Aeryn exposed. Using the lightsaber in his left hand, he deflects the spear thrust pushing the weapon up and away from him; while at the same time using Harnan's shield like a spring board and leaps backwards. Mid-flight Aeryn pours his power into the force and focuses on the ceiling above Harnan. Landing back on his feet, Aeryn grips the ceiling with the force ripping it down upon Harnan which rains down a fair amount of debris and construction materials. *

Harnan brought the spear over and back down again, keeping himself protected with his shield as Aeryn jumped backwards off of it. It was then that he felt a disturbance in the force, as Aeryn latched on to the ceiling with the Force. He waited till the last moment, certain Aeryn was locked on, before drawing on the force to assist him in jumping backwards out of the way. The debris coming down just in front of where he landed. So that was the way the Jedi wanted to play out this fight.
Had Illaria been here, or he boasted mastery in the Force even remotely closer to hers, a response in kind would have been made. Instead he would have to settle for something a little more mundane. Thankfully the structure of the building had held up, meaning that what had fallen, was fairly minimal. The barrier between them able to be tread quite easily. Harnan drew on the force as he looked to where Aeryn was. Where his opponent drained himself with grand moves, Harnan was able to prolong his fighting vigour. He stretched his arm out, holding his spear horizontally as he launched a wave of Force energy meant to push Aeryn back You are defeated! Your kind are outmatched! We will defeat you!
The Riot Control Trooper, more commonly known as WT-2199, could only watch helplessly as his blaster rifle was torn from his hands. He knew there was nothing he could do to prevent it. So even despite the loss of his blaster rifle, he was not particularly phased. His training had prepared him for facing off against not only riots, but Force users. His gaze fell upon the little girl holding the staff then, pretty certain that she was the one responsible for the loss of his blaster. A part of him was highly amused by her attempt to look strong. While another part urged him to take caution against underestimating any child capable of using the force Very well... TRAITOR! He tossed his shield off to the side then, and drew his Riot Baton. The prongs spinning out and locking into position as WT-2199 twirled the weapon into a one handed grip. In such a small space, and against such a small opponent, his shield would only serve to hinder him. He was also feeling quite confident, since he had managed to just moments ago, defeat a Jedi Knight. He took a couple steps forward then, and swinging the baton up and then bringing it down upon the Jedi Girl

* Aeryn is thrown backwards with great force sending him back about 10 feet and sliding across the ground another five. Standing back up, he knew that if he continued to fight the way he was he would be worn out an unable to continue the fight which lead to his death. Taking a deep breath, Aeryn focuses on the force and instead of using it to attack, lets it flow though his body to increase his stamina for the fight. *
" You may defeat me Harnan...you may kill all the Jedi here, but there will always be light in the in darkest of times "
* Aeryn moves his stance into a Soresu form and motions for the Knight of Ren to come at him*

*"Traitor"... Mina had heard that word before. It evoked many vivid memories, all negative... all directed at her fathers, before they were captured and executed. Words meant to paint them as foes, make an example of them... A label given to them by the very same regime who lorded over and enslaved Kashyyyk. A regime this First Order was not all that different from.
Mina would gladly wear that label.
She bent her knees and thrust her staff upwards to meet the blow from the trooper, her stance allowing her to absorb it and avoiding falling back. This weapon was very much not something she had any experience fighting against, but she did her best to ignore its active, whining electricity and treat it like any other melee weapon. She remained mostly on the defensive, the trooper attempting to get inside her defenses; she made certain he never did. She pivoted and turned, meeting each increasingly-relentless attack, reading his reactions both with her eyes... and also with her mind. It was... very different this way, but it was better. Her reaction times were quicker, her stances stronger, allowing no blow to befall her.
And then the Force showed her an opening. After a high block, she pivoted, smacking her staff into the back of his hand. This didn't make him drop the weapon but it did force it a safe distance away, enough for her to sweep his legs out with her staff, putting him on the ground. She then spun and smacked his hand again, this time freeing the weapon from his hand. Once more she spun, in the opposite direction, bringing the staff directly across his helmeted face. He was thrown onto the ground just outside the doorway, while Mina stood facing him, staff threateningly leveled in his direction, scowl across her brow.
But he had found his blaster again. It primed itself with a strange hum as he faced her, bringing the weapon to bear, as she brought her staff up with widened eyes to defend itself.
Another loud hum followed by the cry of metal rang out as the barrel of the rifle was suddenly removed, replaced with a molten red slant. Just after this the trooper was flung into the far wall as another figure put itself between him and Mina.
Daddy.*
"Tell me something, Smiley," *he addressed the trooper with a calm anger.* "You have a family?"
