Leaving the planet of Contruum after taking off from the Temple of the Jensaarai, the Luxury 5000 entered the planet's orbit as it's pilot, the Hapan Lynda Jarvio entered the corrdinates for Honoghr. Finding the best routes that would get the ship to the planet in the shortest time period, Lynda selected them and had the ship enter hyperspace.

*An escape pod came spinning wildly into the orbit of Contruum the pod marked as being from the "Helzikk IV" a Jedi exploration vessel; on board was a single occupant who was just coming out of consciousness.
I woke to a series of alarms, the very real events of the past few hours came screaming back, I knew not what had happened to the vessel, more than likely it had succumbed to the Pirate raid, by the grace of the force, I an outcast had escaped.
I was mindful to strap myself in before I attempted re-entry, my head was still pounding, so much for sleep. I stretched out and heavily thumped the red button deactivating the proximity alarm. I then pressed the blue button and there then emitted a small mechanical noise as a small joystick made itself aware by rising up out of the arm rest.
It was a simple affair and it seemed I would have to make re-entry on thrusters alone, I struggled with the joystick attempting to steady the route of the rocketing pod, with nothing but the friction of re-entry to slow it and thruster power there was little I could do. The pod jostled and bumped violently as it popped into the atmosphere of which ever force forsaken world I had found myself.*

Once Ben hits open orbit he unstraps and vacates the pilots chair for either Sharron or Veroni to show him how to use the hyperdrive. Once he is standing clear of the chair he uses a bit of the Force to hold himself in place so any sudden acceleration wont knock him off his feet.

=Sharron Octavia and Veroni Nova= As soon as Ben left the pilot seat while the light freighter floated in Contruum's orbit, the two girls figured it be best to first check to see if his hyperdrive was in working order. Checking a nearby compartment at the cockpit for an owner's manual, they read up that the YU-410 had it's hyperdrive located underneath the grating floor in the main hallway. Gesturing to Ben, they told him to follow the both of them to the hyperdrive's location. Once in the hallway, Sharron found the hatch that led to below the grating floor and took a ladder all the way to the bottom. The way down wasn't too long, and once there, Sharron told Smitty to come down to the hyperdrive chamber. As soon as he got down the ladder, the togruta would point out to him the hyperdrive. Seemed the man had an SSP05 hyperdrive that was slightly modified. Garwig himself must of ordered the modifications to the hyperdrive for Smitty so as to make the ship faster and easier for him to maneuver.
Checking to see if the hyperdrive was in working order, all seemed to be ok as the togruta told Smitty to head on back up the ladder. Following him up the ladder, she'd close the hatch and all three of them would head to the cockpit again. Once there, Veroni pointed out to the terminal that showed the hyperdrive settings. It showed that the hyperdrive was being recognized as active, then showed him the hyperlanes the hyperspace computer showed available to them. A little bit above that information on screen, it showed a screen asking what planet Smitty wanted the ship to go to. They could either input the coordinates of the location, or just type in the location's name on the terminal board. Typing "Nar Shaddaa," the computer sorted through all the hyperlanes nearby to figure out the best route for the ship to take for a short trip. Finding the best route, Veroni would tell Ben all he needed to do is press the red button to tell the computer to set the coordinates for that planet and the ship would automatically send the ship to hyperspace toward Nar Shaddaa. Soon as that was accomplished, and if Smitty thought he had enough info, the two girls would get back into their seats, then wait for the light freighter to enter hyperspace.

Ben follows the two females after releasing his Force grip on the floor and once Sharron revealed the ladder he shed his long black coat and weapons harness to move easier, then he followed Sharron's instructions to climb down and as she points out this that and the other thing on and about his hyper drive Ben just soaks up the information like a dry sponge placed in a puddle of water once she has finished and instructs Ben to proceed up the ladder he starts up. Upon reaching the top he moves out of the way and re-dons his coat and weapons then follows the girls back to the cockpit where they show him where the controls for the hyper drive is and shows him how to manipulate them he watches fascinated as they instruct him to push the red button when he is ready. He then sits back down in the pilots seat buckles back up and hits the button and away they leap straight into hyper space.

*The large frieghter shot out of hyperspace and floated in Contruum's orbit. A young female sat in the cockpit pressing numerous buttons before the starship descended toward the planet and its Nunnehi forest. She cared not of any protocol and waited for the ship to enter the atmosphere.*

Ander Tagira [GC-01] Commander of GALSAF Armed Forces Command Bridge of Imperial-II Class Star Destroyer Basterd's Hand As the fleet dropped out of hyperspace, Ander made to exit the command bridge, leaving orders with Admiral Staton. "Jethroe, I'm going to get everyone groundside as soon as possible for refit, get the fleet fueled up and collect a list of essentials we need to replace." Staton gurgled his acknowledgement of the orders in reply, then began keying commands into the arm of his control chair. Ander keyed the lift that would take him from the Star Destroyer's bridge to the main hangar bay, where half of the Airborne Commando Support Battalion docked their gunships. GALSAF was returning to Contruum for the first time in almost a year since the attack led by Lord Nexus had wrought devastation throughout the capital city of Khagarban. GALSAF initially had stayed for several months to assist with reconstruction efforts and had recruited a handful of new commandos into their ranks as well. Appreciation for their assistance had come personally from Lady Tanith, whom Ander was hoping to see briefly during their furlough on Contruum. He was arriving unannounced, but surely not unwelcome. Contruum had become a sort of home away from home for GALSAF and its commandos, who were always scouting about the Galaxy for new people to aid and defend. The battle against Lord Nexus had been GALSAF's first major engagement since the end of the two years they had spent training as a fighting force. While none of their commandos had arrived on Contruum unprepared for battle, true combat had been a new experience for many of them, and Ander had been proud of the beings that had chosen to serve.
Ander arrived in the main hangar bay of the Hand minutes later, stopping just long enough to collect his son Calo and Lieutenant Coronel Zed Mul, who would accompany him to the planet's surface. The two men were waiting for him in the hangar bay, leaning against a large supply crate and sifting through reports on their datapads."You two ready to go?" Ander called, leaving his rifle to rest against the crate. Calo looked up from his 'pad and nodded. "Yeah, are we bringing anyone else?" He asked, stowing the datapad away in his trousers. Ander shook his head. "Everyone's being given furlough, three battalions at a time. One will stay behind and rotate out." Zed approved the choice with a nod, then began walking towards a nearby gunship before stepping into the troop bay. Ander left his gear pack with his weapon, keeping only the armor he wore and his sidearm at his hip. His helmet he left clipped to his utility belt. Ander waited as the gunship's repulsors began to warm up with a quiet whine; the pilots were busy running a visual inspection of the vessel's engine and weapon systems.

As the long starlines of hyperspace shortened back into pinpoints of light denoting distant stars, a proximity alarm went off in the cockpit of an XJ9D Stealth X-wing followed by a panicked series of electronic jabberings from an R2 unit. With the flick of a finger Alexis killed the alarm and then proceeded to calm down her astromech. Under any circumstances an Imperial Star Destroyer compelled a feeling of awe and grandeur, but it could also be quite terrifying. Fortunately, Alexis was expecting something of the kind.
~So that's what one looks like up close.~
She eased back on the power and maneuvered closer, finally cutting her sublight engines and lazily drifting as she considered her options.
~I could leave now.~
Odds were highly against them having spotted her yet. Leaving would have appeased R8, though for now he had subsided into the occasional twittery protest. However, leaving would serve no purpose, and she would still be wondering. She would always have questions, but Alexis knew that the answer to some of them was on that capital ship ahead of her.
"They haven't hailed us because they don't know I'm here yet," she replied to the droid's interrogative as it scrolled across the interface in front of her. "And no. I came here on purpose." Of course he wanted her to leave. X-wing pilots didn't generally go out on their own looking for Imperial Star Destroyers.
[[What would Master Man'sell say?]]
She blinked as R8's latest inquisition scrolled up in front of her with an intensity that made her eyes burn. Alexis fought back the tears and silently counted to ten, refusing to answer that.
Leaning forward, her hand hesitated over the comm channel switch---
---at the last second she changed her mind and cut power to the hull polarization generator. Looking out her cockpit canopy she smiled sadly as the bright red Dragon Squadron markings clarified on the hull of her starfighter, now clearly visible to anyone who cared to notice on board the Basterd's Hand.
~And now, I wait.~
If the one she was looking for did not recognize her specially modified StealthX as the trademark ship of the elite Jedi starfighter group: Dragon Squadron, then this would indeed become a pointless waste of time.

"Commander, it's Navigation. We've got a small fighter on our sensors, it just showed up out of no where. Appears to be a StealthX, with Dragon Squadron markings." Ander rapped his knuckles against the forward bulkhead to get the gunship pilot's attention. "Hold off, we're not leaving yet." Ander told him, then returned his attention to his comlink. "Navigation, has the ship hailed you?" He asked. "No sir. We've received no transmissions." Ander frowned. It was unlikely a single Jedi Peacekeeping Taskforce starfighter would be simply perusing about the Galaxy at the same time GALSAF had shown up over Contruum, especially a StealthX variant of Dragon Squadron. Having been away from Yavin IV for so long, Ander had no current roster of Dragon Squadron pilots, and briefly wondered if Dav Man'Sell or Ksandra Mallan had tracked him down. "Reroute me to open comms, I'll hail them myself." Ander replied, then waited for the channel to reroute to the Hand's open comm channel. "Jedi Peacekeeping Taskforce starfighter, this is Commander Ander Tagira, of the Galactic Security Assistance Force. Please state your identification and..." Ander trailed off after a moment, forcing the military formality from his tone of voice. "...Who is this? And why are you here?" He asked more simply.

Alexis considered this. The man she had seen was once a Jedi, but he no longer wore the robes belonging to that Order. Instead he was wearing beskar'gam. This could easily be a trap, and yet, she had no more than usual misgivings about what she was doing. Sometimes there really isn't an easy way out. The ghost of a half-smile flickered across her lips and vanished. It sounded like he wasn't entirely at one with himself yet, military brusqueness turning into, well, informality. Given the preliminary research she had done she supposed this was also to be expected. He seemed to have left Yavin IV and not looked back, so a bit of inquisitiveness was warranted.
She flicked open her comm channel to reply,
Comman----
Perhaps it was better to give him some kind of hint as to why she was here.
Master Ander Tagira, formerly of the Jedi Praxeum on Yavin IV?
It wasn't the best opening, but at least it was something. She swallowed a lump that had arisen in her throat out of nowhere.
~This never really gets easier, does it?~
I'm Alexis Karidian, Dragon 02--- there was a silent pause before she kept going, ---wingmate to Dragon Lead, Master Dav Man'sell, requesting permission to come aboard?
"I'm fine," she replied to the question about her well-being as it scrolled across the computer scope in front of her. "I will be fine." She repeated to herself quietly. The universe hadn't really left her any other options, but she felt mortally wounded. She wondered if there were any cases of insanity resulting from the sudden snapping of a Force Bond. Alexis would not like to be insane, but sometimes she wondered... at night when the dreams came.

Ander felt his jaw clench as the woman on the other end of the transmission spoke. He did not know her name, or recognize her voice, but still she appeared as a ghost of his past. He held the comlink away from his face for a moment as he took in a deep breath, then slapped open the release on the troop bay door before stepping back out onto the hangar deck. What's happened to Dav? He asked bluntly, as if he hadn't heard her request to come aboard. The Force had all but disappeared from his life before the attack on Yavin IV, in which GALSAF had sided with the Mandalorians under the impression that the Force Users would be arrested and expelled from the Galaxy. What had actually followed had almost been enough to deter Ander from war entirely. Despite the state of his relationship with the Force, he felt it burn a small hole in his soul as the woman spoke Dav's name, as if it were an ember struggling to alight once more into a flame. Ander crushed it utterly in that moment. Whatever ghost of his past this Alexis Karidian was, Ander would face it as he should; without the Force meddling in his mind and heart. He would face this ghost as a man alone.

Alexis pinpointed a brief spike in the Force that disappeared too quickly. Evidently when Ander left Yavin he had decided to leave behind the Jedi as well. A frown wrinkle appeared between Alexis' eyebrows as she considered the effect this might have upon her. He might not want to talk with her at all.
His question threw her off-balance. At that time though, R8 informed her that she had been given tacit permission to land, so she rolled right and dropped down toward the open hangar bay, easing back on the sublight engines' power just enough to drift inside at a low angle. She fired her maneuvering thrusters in a quick burst and dropped the StealthX neatly into an empty slot within the hangar.
An emotionless voice answered the question,
The Yavin IV Jedi Academy no longer exists.
Silence fell as she powered down the x-wing, informing her astromech to keep an eye on things, as she unfastened her seat restraints, and popped the canopy.

Alexis' reply might have been shocking to hear for Ander had he understood what she meant. Unfortunately, the statement made absolutely no sense to him. Had Yavin IV been destroyed by some new superweapon? Had the Jedi there all been killed? For these questions, Ander had no answers. He stood and stepped out of the gunship, then grabbed his rifle by the supply crates. He held the weapon just forward of the upper receiver, his other hand on his sidearm. He began walking brusquely across the bay where newly arrived vessels typically were docked. He looked over at the hangar bay entrance as he moved and watched the starfighter slip through the bay shield, anger and confusion rising to the forefront of the many emotions Alexis' statement had elicited from him. Stopping just short of one of the marked docking areas as the StealthX fighter entered the bay, Ander felt his jaw tighten once more. Soon after the vessel docked, the transparasteel cockpit cracked open with a hiss. Ander drew his sidearm and aimed the weapon up at the cockpit opening, where the fighter's pilot would disembark from. "What do you mean, the Academy no longer exists? You'd better start explaining things, Karidian!" Ander shouted, his voice echoing throughout the large docking bay. Around him, GALSAF commandos looked up from their datapads and conversations, some had confused and worried looks on their faces. Others remained helmeted, and showed nothing but the T-shaped visors their buy'ce bore. A handful of the commandos picked up their rifles and began walking casually towards the starfighter, as if its pilot had walked into the wrong side of town and committed some sort of unknown offense they sought to reprimand her for.

Alexis smiled tightly to herself, then placed a hand on the edge of her cockpit and stood up. She removed her helmet and dropped it into the seat before lightly jumping out and landing on the hangar floor with a lithe grace belonging to someone much older than she herself was.
"I do not owe you anything, Master Tagira. You left the academy and have never looked back."
There was no malice in her tone, but as one who had been bullied for years, Nathan and Dav had taught her not to accept that treatment. And she had determined never to give in to fear again. Ever. So, even though she was a single Jedi on an Imperial Star Destroyer, she faced the odds without flinching.
All anyone looking would see was a slim Jedi female, still a padawan as evidenced by the braid hanging just behind her right ear. A very close observer would note that the end of it was ragged as it had not been rebraided in quite some time by now. Two inches from the end, a dark green thread was tied around it. It could be surmised that something traumatic had happened to her in the past. Her face was pale, almost unnaturally translucent, an effect heightened by her wavy dark brown hair. Chocolatey brown eyes reflected an experience level that was not in keeping with her physical age.
"The physical buildings of the academy are largely as you remember, but the Yavinites no longer exist."
She gazed at Ander unflinchingly, only blinking once.
"Other than myself, Joshua Kierra-Solo is the only survivor I can see, but he has disappeared, comatose."
With her words, another emptiness filled her. An emotional void nearly as painful as the loss of Dav himself. The Force had drawn her and Josh together across lightyears of space. And now that was gone as well.
A dark storm swirled through Alexis' eyes, and she clarified in a voice that seemed alien to her,
"I am the last of the Dragons."
~And I'd give anything to be wrong...~
Long dark lashes suddenly dropped over her eyes as she felt the burning sting of tears threatening to well up and overflow. But she was padawan Alexis Karidian, student of Battlemaster Dav Man'sell, wingmate of Dragon Lead---and she would. not. cry.

As a pale-faced, brown haired woman revealed herself as the starfighter's pilot, Ander's firing hand began to waver. Even from ten meters away Ander could see her deep brown eyes, like vats of ale churning with emotions he recognized all too well. Loss. Pain. Confusion. As she spoke, he felt his hand shake, and his arm fell to his side, as if his muscles had melted. His anger faded in a similar fashion, as molten ore pouring into a form, leaving behind nothing but cold, hard metal. She was slender, and young, but only in body. The age of her mind, of her soul, Ander couldn't begin to speak of. She was beautiful, but her beauty lived within the shadow of her experience, almost as if it were beneath her. Her clothes were rumpled and her padawan's braid unkempt, and not from her journey within the cockpit of a snubfighter. This woman was lost. Ander heard his weapons drop to the deck with a clatter as the magnitude of her words struck him. Alexis had said little more than before, offering no real sort of explanation, though her mere repetition had told Ander all he needed to know in that moment: She had lost her home...they had both lost their homes. What little steel remained in his heart melted as he felt his lips tremble. "I looked back, Karid-...Alexis." Ander corrected himself. She did not need formalities here, nor harshness. He heard the words leave his throat, though they belonged to another man. A man he had ceased being the day he walked out on the Jedi of Yavin IV. He was no longer that man, though a part of his former self still lived inside his heart. It was the dream of a man, the man he wished he could have been, but knew he could never be."Leave us." Ander said firmly, looking around at the gathering commandos. He knew them all by name, had trained many of them himself. But now, when he looked at their faces, he saw the ghosts of his former friends and family from Yavin IV. Ksandra Mallan, his first real love, disgraced by his own weakness. Tebana Sor, as close to a sister as he could ever have wanted. Andru Kierra-Solo, one of his brightest students, consumed by the Corruption that had attempted to destroy the Jedi of his home when he had forsaken them. So many more...so many names...so many faces. Somewhere in the Galaxy, Mai Owani, his second chance at love, was living safe and happy without him. But as Ander looked around the hangar bay, he saw one face predominant: Dav Man'Sell. Dav had been a brother, a father, a mentor, a friend. He had been a shining example of the best and the worst in a sentient being. Ander's memories of Dav rose above all others in his mind, bringing feelings of pain and undeserved happiness.Alexis might have thought herself above tears, but Ander did not. He dropped heavily to his knees, the beskar plates of his armor ringing against the durasteel deck beneath his feet."I wasn't there..." Ander muttered to himself. And it was true. He hadn't been there, not even when he had remained on Yavin IV had he truly been there. He had been off living his life as he saw fit, not as those of his world had needed him to be. He had chosen selfishness and power over family and love. Alexis Karidian may see the day Ander left Yavin IV as the day he stopped being a Jedi, but Ander knew the truth: He had never truly been a Jedi. Luke Skywalker's training hadn't been able to turn him into something he was not. Not Tebana's compassion, or Ksandra's love. Not Dav's guidance, nor Zuli's strength.
Tears came to Ander's eyes and he did nothing to stop them flowing. With a single hand he reached for the small of his back and revealed the silver-hilted lightsaber that hid beneath the back plate of his armor. It had been his first lightsaber, constructed by him on Yavin IV as he had studied with the new Jedi Order there so many years ago. It was a magnificent tool, but not one he had ever deserved."I've looked back everyday since I left, Alexis, and regretted ever having had to leave in the first place. Take it." Ander uttered; his words were a breeze. He held the weapon out and locked eyes with the Jedi woman. "Take it, and know that I have found you more worthy of it already than I ever was, in all my years. Take it and make it yours. Give this tool a life of service deserving of its caliber." He did not truly know what prompted him to turn over the last relic of his life as a Jedi to this woman he'd only just met, though Ander could feel in his gut he was doing the right thing. Ander looked up at her, pulling himself to his feet once more and holding the lightsaber out for her to take."The greatest bastion of the Jedi has disappeared from the face of the Galaxy and Alexis Karidian is the last remnant of its existence." He told her, his eyes rimmed with not tears, really, but rather decades of pain. To Ander, Alexis and the weapon almost belonged together, as both were the last of their kind.

"I wasn't there," echoed in Alexis' mind. She had also been offworld, rescuing Josh in fact, on Dressel. She had enjoyed seeing him again, but weighed against what had happened during that time span, she would have traded it in the blink of an eye if it meant she had been at Dav's side when he fell. Her mind constantly presented her with numerous 'what if' scenarios, but deep down she recognized the futility of dwelling upon them. And the rational part of her mind knew full well that her presence would have made no difference in the ultimate outcome of what had happened to Yavin IV.
Other academies and temples remained. The Order had been unified and Jedi once again walked the halls of the great Temple on Coruscant. But to Alexis Karidian, Yavin had been home, and Dav had been family. All her family. Something in what Ander had said though---
She suddenly saw what that meant. Her being had been focused upon Dav. The snapping of the unnaturally strong Force Bond between them had left her unconscious on the deck of a freighter, causing Will Son'tir to panic momentarily. But more than that, Alora Malreaux had been the first person to welcome her to Yavin IV. Then Ksandra Mallan, Mai Owani, and Jago Pulastra. Alexis closed her eyes, seeing their faces flit in front of her with painful clarity. Zuli Madoon. Ronan Starflare.
Despite Ander's leaving of Yavin, she had known that he had regrets. Alexis knew what it was like to be an outcast, not fitting in anywhere and always looked upon as an outsider. That had been her entire childhood on Nar Shaddaa. Nathan Malreaux had been the first to understand who and what she was, to value her as a human being. When he had disappeared, Alexis thought her life was over. Like it was yesterday her mind flipped back to Yavin Station and herself drinking heavily, considering whether or not to....go on. That was where Dav had found her, found her and taken her as his padawan, promising never to abandon her... tears streaked one after the other down from her eyes, chasing each other in salty trails down Alexis' cheeks.
Dimly, into the middle of her introspection, she became aware that Ander was talking to her, and she opened her eyes and looked up. Despite the fact he was wearing armor like a Mandalorian, she saw a dark-haired man in the robes of a Jedi emanating his own loss, and holding out a lightsaber hilt in front of her. Reaching out involuntarily, as if to take it she felt its metallic coolness in the palm of her hand even as her fingertips brushed Ander's hand and felt warm heat. She opened her mouth to refuse as images flashed in front of her with a dizzying rapidity that left her feeling bewildered. One of them was her returning it to him, but it wasn't her as she now was---
---Ander thought she was more of a Jedi than himself, but only time has the answer to a question of that magnitude. At his last words, she felt the immense pain of Dav's immediate loss rushing towards her psyche like a tsunami. It is a hard thing when a legend dies. It is exponentially harder to survive as a relic of a legend. She felt her hand clenching around Ander's like a drowning person making a last effort to keep her head above the waves.
A high-pitched flurry of electronic whistling from somewhere above her head sliced into her mind painfully. She'd forgotten that R8, as fussy as he was, was still close enough to keep an eye on her.
Alexis straightened, breathing heavily as if she'd just run a race, though visibly pulling herself back together. And she accepted Ander's lightsaber, letting go of his hand, as she held it up examining the hilt in the light before clipping it to her belt. Glancing back, she looked at her StealthX, gleaming red Dragon markings shining in the light of the hangar, a reminder of an elite Jedi starfighter squadron that had brought hope to many and fear to its enemies.
Looking back at Ander, she knew both of them had been through years in the past few minutes. In a voice that was more shaky than she liked, she inquired, "Do you have anything to drink? Both of us could use a little help." she added ruefully.
She'd have to come back to it later when she was able to think of something suitable to say in reply, but a spark of light glowed somewhere in a being that otherwise felt shrouded in darkness right now--Ander Tagira, one who had known Dav much longer than she herself, thought that she was a Jedi worthy of the Yavinite name.

Ander felt his lightsaber leave his hand, transferring from his possession to Alexis'. Her warm touch was a stark contrast to the cold steel of the weapon as much as his touch was to her. Cold and warmth were so often attributed to indifference and love, an interesting connection for people to make. As Alexis took the tool from his grasp, Ander saw something he had only seen once before when his master, Luke Skywalker, had initially welcome him and the rest of the Jedi potentials to Yavin IV so many years ago: The rise of a leader and the dawn of an age. Regardless of whom Alexis wanted to be, Ander felt she was bound to become a driving force in the Galaxy, a manifestation of the tenets of the Jedi Order. Such a thing was rare to see. As his emotions boiled like the swells of an ocean storm, his mind began to generate a series of possible futures in which Alexis stood at the forefront of a great new order. Wreathed in a light only Ander could see, she stood before him as a reincarnation of Dav Man'Sell himself. His teachings, his wisdom, his knowledge and experience...all that was left of him was within her. Impulsively, Ander stepped forward and rested his hands on Alexis' shoulders, losing himself in the deep pools of her eyes. "Dav isn't truly gone, Alexis." He whispered. "For in you, I see him, and I know that as long as you live, he will never be gone from this world." Ander's words came from the heart, without analysis, without hesitation. He merely stated fact as he saw it. He began to feel something he hadn't felt in years, like a Jedi. Ander swallowed the lump in his throat that had formed there as the realization dawned on him. The thought of it scared him, that the Force was not done with him. He began to doubt his decision to abandon it. The only constant in the Galaxy was that there were no constants, and Ander knew he had judged too quickly. He had purged from himself the man he once was in an attempt to become someone better, and in doing so had become something...less. What Alexis would need from him was his help, as the two of them were the last remnants of the Jedi of Yavin IV. How could he abandon them so quickly? How could he abandon her to her fate after having lost her home, her life? The simple answer was that he couldn't.
Ander let his hands fall from Alexis' shoulders, though he gently took her arm in his as she clipped the lightsaber to her belt. He walked her away from her starfighter, towards the turbolifts at the center of the hangar bay, gesturing for Calo to retrieve his weapons. "I have enough drinks to last a lifetime, Alexis. He told her. "Though I suspect we'll run dry before our thirst is sated."

"But it will never be the same---" the words died on Alexis' lips as she looked up at Ander. Instinctively, she knew she had been right. The founder of the Yavinite Academy had wandered for many years, but he still cared about the Order. Following an impulse that she would have hated to justify verbally, she stepped closer to the taller man and wrapped her arms around him in a quick, heartfelt hug, before stepping back. The gesture in itself nearly made her cry with loneliness. He was different from Dav, but something there was fundamentally the same.
As he took her arm, and the two of them headed off deeper into the ship, something Alexis had been running from crystallized in her mind. She would have to go back to Yavin IV. Even as she felt the truth of this, she did not feel ready just yet.
The doors of the turbolift whooshed shut behind them, and Alexis found herself watching the flashing lights in the interior of the lift car. "You may be right, Master Tagira," she effortlessly referred to him in the honorific as if he had never left Yavin, "but there is a time for drinking, and a time for remembering..."
She straightened imperceptibly, shoulders back instead of drooped as under a heavy burden, "but the time for doing is on the horizon."

Ander shook his head as Alexis' voice trailed off. "You're right, it will never be the same. It will be better. You will be to others what Dav has been to you." Ander might have smiled at this point, but the woman surprised him by wrapping her arms around him in a short, but warm hug. Feeling at odds for how to respond, Ander simply let Alexis hold him for a moment before they continued towards the lift. As they stepped inside and he keyed for his quarters, Alexis' use of the Jedi title "Master" nearly made him flinch. He didn't respond as the turbolift shook gently beneath his feet, beginning the short journey to his quarters. Alexis was right, doing was around the corner, a burden of tomorrow. Tonight was setting the foundation of something larger than themselves. Ander sensed a friendship on the horizon of which Alexis spoke, and was glad of it. Soon the lift slowed to a halt, and Ander keyed open the doors to his quarters, which were bereft of lighting. With a wave of his hand Ander activated the level's lighting, though kept it dim, a reflection of his emotional exhaustion. He kindly withdrew his arm from Alexis' own and made his way further into his quarters. The kitchen unit was to the right of the main entrance, the common area beyond it. Two rooms branched off to the left. Ander passed by them to the common room to remove his armor. He stripped the plates of beskar from his flight suit and left them in a neat pile on a small table. He rubbed his eyes of tiredness and returned to Alexis, reaching for a decanter of amber-colored Corellian scotch and pouring them both a glass. Opening the freezer unit Ander withdrew a pair of stones, dropping one into each glass. He held one out to Alexis and drank from the other swiftly before pouring himself another. "So...what are you remembering?" He muttered gruffly as he brought his glass once more to his lips. He eyed the woman carefully, curious about how she would respond. Of all the people he met on a daily basis, Alexis Karidian was a special example, considering her situation. Being the last of an Order was a rare occurrence, and despite his sadness Ander was glad she had stumbled through his door and not someone else's.
