Garrick faced out the transparent windows, gazing out at the inky rolls of space as Jaques’ threats resonated throughout the bridge, filling the normally quiet and efficiant space with noise. Normally this sort of cacophony would only be heard during a drill or battle, and even then individuals didn’t speak this loudly. Garrick gestured to the communications officer on deck, who switched the feed into his ear mike, in order to address the opponent. He spoke coldly, yet candidly into the device, he knew that the enemy would be unlikely to back down simply due to his numerical superiority, no. The Rebels, and their follow up successor “state”, if you could even call it that, were well known for their use of unorthodox tactics and asymmetrical warfare to level the playing field.
“No, Admiral, it is you who need forgiveness, not I.”
With that, he cut the feed. His opponent could shout all he wanted into the system, Garrick would simply just listen. Of course, a team of crack computer engineers were listening as well, ready to decipher any background noise during the course of the battle in order to provide that little strategic edge. As the various TIE fighters swarmed around the fleet like a cloud, screening against incoming vessels, Garrick turned and walked down the central catwalk to the strategy table. The impending battle was laid out before him, with various pieces of information and a list of potential strategies. As he walked, he spoke loudly to the gunnery crew.
“Are the main batteries primed?”
”Yes, sir. Ready and waiting,” responded he gunnery control officer. He was a veteran who had worked his way up from the bottom, truly deserving of his position. He stood emotionless at a console, the blueish light given off by its screen casting a slight hue over his face.
“What are we waiting for? Fire on their fleet!”
For a moment, all was still as the officer transmitted the order to fire to the gunners of the octuple barbette turbolasers flanking the superstructure of the ship. All of the massive batteries were facing forward, and the gunnery crews had dialed in their weapons, all of the guns in the fleet focusing on one of the Bothan Assault Cruisers. Then, a single emerald shot arced towards the enemy ship, easily absorbed by the transparent deflector shield of the vessel. However, out of the blue, like thunder and lightning during a storm, the verdant laser fire erupted from the Imperial fleet like a lava jet on Mustafar, all of the shots arcing for one Bothan Assault Cruiser...

Contruum's High Orbit
The Renegade exited hyperspace and Jack proceeded to pilot the ship down to the surface of Contruum. Jack and Crowdarr needed to make a quick stop and pick up their newest crew member Xodon Ridos, who should be waiting at the space port for them. Jack would like to spend a little time at a bar on Contruum, but they had no time to spare as they needed to deliver the cargo they had acquired to the Hutt Cartel and he really didn't want to keep the Cartel waiting.
The Renegade made its descent to the planet's surface.

Emerging from hyperspace, the Death Watch fleet arrived at Contruum. Standing at the helm of the Kandosii-Type Dreadnaught, Kyr'tsad, Galden Vizsla, Brayark's second in command, barked out his orders. Begin landing troops and initiate a patrol pattern. Contruum is now ours! Shuttles, transports and the few ships small enough to enter a planet's atmosphere departed from the main group and headed for Contruum's surface.

The remaining ships of the Death Watch fleet continued to patrol over the planet, but the Kyramud-Type Battleship made its way over to Contruum Six, a small moon orbiting Contruum proper.

Ga'ab silenced the navicomputer's warning alarms by slowly pushing the hyperdrive accelerator lever back to it's default position. As he did so the LAmbda Class Shuttle "Axe of Urkruk" decelerated from hyperspace near the planet Contruum. He slowly brought the shuttle's sublight systems online wishing he had a co-pilot instead of his complement of Gamorreans. Turning slow as a barge, the Lambda followed the stream of in-system traffic headed towards the planet surface. As they approached the planet he keyed in an automated message to be broadcast to space-traffic control or the synonymous organization that operated in Contruum's space. Orbital Control this is the Lambda Class Shuttle Axe of Urkruk, requesting landing coordinates for the planetary capital.
As he meandered his ship forward with the line of bulk cruisers, courier ships and a few pleasure yachts he idly pointed his ship's sensors in the direction of the warships in defensive formation in orbit. The Lambda's computer identified them as Mandalorian and gave sniffed indignantly. "Great, Mandos." He said to himself.
"Perhaps the Mandalorians of this era are more civilized." Offered Riel in its silent electrical pulses to Ga'ab's brain. The small AI called Riel that was embedded in Ga'ab's brain carried the historical records of a long-dead Miraluka and it had been installed to ensure that Ga'ab, a clone, remained authentic to the original. As such, Riel reminded his host of several violent encounters between his namesake and Mandalorians, primarily with a Mandalorians known as 'the Wanderer' and another named Australis. Riel assured Ga'ab that both were surely dead, 'the Wanderer' most likely perishing during the Mandalorian invasion of Korriban.
"Here's hoping." Said Ga'ab quietly.

The Kandosii-Type Dreadnaught, Kyr'tsad, finished its patrol vector, coming round from the dark side of Contruum. Standing at the helm of the Mandalorian Dreadnaught, Galden Vizsla listened to the incoming comm. 'Axe of Urkruk'? Sounded Gamorrean. But the voice certainly wasn't. Proper emotional inflections. Full, proper word usage and sentence structure. Definitely not Gamorrean. Scanning the shuttle and reading the reports as they appeared, Galden came to the conclusion that this shuttle wasn't of any threat to them or Death Watch. "Allow them passage, but keep an eye on them..." The Comms Officer nodded and replied to the incoming hail. "Axe of Urkurk, you have been granted permission to land. Coordinates to Champion City are being uploaded now. With that done, all they could do now was observe the incoming 'guests' and see exactly what they were after.

Acknowledged. Ga'ab hadn't expected much trouble but he was nonetheless relieved when the comm system crackled with an affirmative. This was a blue milk run, and the closest thing Ga'ab had had for a vacation since he and his close friend, Rygal, had decided to take on the Tenloss Syndicate, and Ga'ab was determined to appreciate the mundane without having to suppress a constant sense of anxiety and rush of adrenaline. He smoothly transferred the incoming landing coordinates to the ship's autopilot and relinquished control. The shuttle's leisurely descent planet side afforded Ga'ab the time to address his Gamorrean guards who had been lounging in the main cabin, and time to put on his own M'uhk'gfa and retrieve his Ar'gorak from the weapons lockers.

As the Lambda-Class shuttle headed down to the surface, Galden merely watched as it went, curious as to what sort of business on Contruum could bring Gamorreans. Returning his focus to the orbiting ships, Galden ordered the Kyr'tsad to continue patrolling around Contruum, ensuring that Death Watch's interests were secure.

The orbiting ships of belonging to Clan Vizsla, continued to patrol and ensure local laws were upheld, as they were here to stay. And they had no intentions of disrupting how the natives did things.

Several months after the events of The Great Hunt...
Standing on the bridge of the Kyr'tsad, Brayark and his brother, Galden, were busily pouring over a holomap. Specifically of Obroa-Skai. It had recently been brought to Brayark's attention that the Yuuzhan Vong had managed to stake a claim on the world and conquer it, virtually unopposed. Even with the advances since the last Yuuzhan Vong war, they were a dangerous and relentless foe. And they needed to be dealt with. With the stagnation rotting the Assembly away from within and the current Mandalore more obsessed with her own matters than the rest of the Assembly, Brayark had gathered his forces and those willing to skirmish with the Vong and assembled over their current homeworld of Contruum. It may not have been much, but they were tough, determined and driven to gain glory from facing a worthy opponent. Win or lose, this would serve to prove that Clan Vizsla wasn't merely a band of mercenaries, thugs or terrorists. And that Death Watch was not simply the rabble they were always made out to be. "Once Zhae arrives, we will be ready to depart...have out recon probes reported back?" Asked the blonde haired Mandalorian, raising an eyebrow questioningly to his brother. In response, the haggard looking Mandalorian replied by pulling up images of what their recon probes has managed to capture and transmit back to them. Peculiar, asteroid looking ships in orbit over Obroa-Skai. At least a dozen, counting the biggest one right in the middle. "There. That one. Knock that out of commission and we will win the day." Galden agreed. "Mhm...'cept it'll be nigh impossible to get to it. See these little ones. Frigate analoges. Loaded for bear and packing a surprising punch. We go in smart or we don't go at all." Scanning over the images of the smaller looking rocky vessels, Brayark nodded. "I agree..." Flexing his jaw in thought, he raised his eyebrows in realization. "Perhaps our allies would be willing to provide a distraction for us, allow our heavies to move in from behind and surprise them?" Suggested Brayark. Galden's brow wrinkled as he looked up at his brother. "What did you have in mind?" Smirking, Brayark replied with only one word. "Awaud."

The holographic image of Orrick Awaud stood on the bridge of the Death Watch flagship under Clan Vizsla's command. Helm clutched under his left arm, the grizzled Mandalorian snorted in disbelief.
...and you want me to mount a full offensive against the goddamn Vong, as a distraction for you, while you get to play big goddamn hero and kick 'em right where it hurts? You are out of your gorram mind, Vizsla.
Orrick has been sent the recon reports from Obroa-Skai and they odds certainly were not in their favour. Even with his help, Brayark's fleet was outmatched due to the tenacity and effectiveness of the Yuuzhan Vong ships. Those damn Vong rocks, for as odd as they looked, packed a nasty bite. One that Orrick wasn't particularly fond of feeling again...

Smirking as his fellow Mandalorian spoke his mind, rather bluntly at that, Brayark held up a hand to stop Orrick's further complaints on the matter. "You mistake my intentions, Orrick. Both fleets will serve as a distraction while a team of us boards the enemy ship and takes it down from within. I selected both you and your brother, if he is interested, to be apart of the boarding party. Galden will lead the fleets in an all out assault on the Yuuzhan Vong while we infiltrate the main capital ship and eliminate the leader. Once we've cut the head off the snake, so to speak, we blow the ship and exfil to the fleet, or the planet's surface." Yes, it was risky. Yes it was bold. And yes, it was not the best laid out plan, but, the Yuuzhan Vong hadn't danced with the Mandalorians in a long time and wouldn't be expecting such a drastic maneuver. "I want you and Henoc as part of the team. Zhae Kelborn will also be joining us as well as several other members of Death Watch. This is how we unveil ourselves and show the rest of our kind that we are not the terrorists they believe we are."

As if to make a statement, it was in that moment, Zhae stepped onto the bridge of Brayark's ship and strode over to there he was speaking to an ally. Removing her helm and allowing her blonde hair to hang free, she flashed a grin up to the grizzled face of whom she could only assume to be Orrick Awaud, the one and only who had stood in opposition of their current Mand'alore. As Brayark finished speaking, she interjected playfully.
"C'mon, old man, where is your sense of adventure? Facing off against our most hated enemy, on their own turf and kicking them right in the daddy bag...that is something I'd want to be apart of. Kinda why I volunteered when Bray approached me about it...not that he would have been able to leave me behind anyways...right dear?"
As if to emphasize the statement, she smacked his ass as she strode past with a grin.
"I'm not about to let my man have all the fun without me..."
Trailing off, she shot Brayark a small, sympathetic grin as he now had to finish convincing Awaud to join them...with his face now a deep red. Obviously she had managed to embarrass him, which was hilarious on its own. Even though they had been together for the past five years, the fact that she could still make him blush was just to good. She couldn't resist. Especially if she had the opportunity to make it even more awkward and embarrassing. Placing her helm on the stack of crates a few feet away, she spun around and hoisted herself up onto them so she could continue to watch the exchange between Brayark and Orrick.

Cocking an eyebrow as Zhae appeared and not-so-subtly made it very clear she and Brayark were involved, Orrick cleared his throat and addressed Zhae first.
I was knocking off Vong long before you were crawling, kid. Old news.
Letting out an audible sigh as he turned to face Brayark, he continued speaking.
Seems you are hell-bound and determined to pull this off. In that case... Orrick proceeded to slide his helmet over his head. ...I figure you'll need someone to hold your hand once you shit yourself...
Despite wearing the helmet, he was grinning beneath it. As much as he wasn't one to go looking for a fight anymore, he certainly wasn't going to shy away from one. And tangling with the Vong, as dangerous as it could be, certainly was a thrill. And maybe even Henoc would join him. Though, even if he didn't, Awaud was still going to lend their aid in this endeavor.

Trying his best not to blush as Zhae, determined as ever to try and embarrass him, went about her business, Awaud agreed to help them. Smirking at Orrick's comment, Brayark inclined his head. "Just make sure you can keep up...old man." Brayark grinned at Orrick, using Zhae's line for a second time. Despite the rather vulgar humor between them, Awaud had turned out to be a valuable ally. Keeping the Assembly off of their backs was a huge bonus. And it allowed Death Watch to operate a little more freely. Though soon they wouldn't have to hide. Soon. "Galden will send your fleet the coordinates where we will RV. Cuyir pirusti, vod." And with that, he terminated the link with Awaud. Turning on his heel, he beckoned Zhae. "Come. There is much that needs to be done. We must...prepare." He flashed her a sly grin as he extended a hand out to her.

As the exchange came to an end, Zhae could barely contain her laughter as Orrick copped his own playful insults back at Brayark. Grinning, she noticed he was deliberately avoiding eye contact with her. Then he spun on his heel as Orrick's image faded away. Before she could open her mouth in protest, he flashed her a sly grin and extended a hand. Giggling to herself, she hopped off the crates and moved towards Brayark accepting his hand.
"For a minute, I thought you were going to forget about little old me over there..."
Pouting slightly, she grinned as Brayark gave her that 'I wouldn't dream of it' look.
"Let us prepare then..."
She said coyly as she led Brayark by the hand and the two disappeared from the bridge of the ship, retiring to Brayark's quarters...

Laying in his bunk, Zhae sound asleep on his left, Brayark simply enjoyed the moment. It was peaceful. The sound of Zhae's slow and steady breathing, the gentle hum of the ship around them, and the warmth of her body pressed against his. It was the little things that made doing what he did worth it. And enjoying Zhae's company was one of those things that he truly treasured, when time allowed for it. A few more hours, and then they would need to leave the comfort of his bunk and prepare for what lay ahead. The Liberation of Obroa-Skai was going to soon be at hand. And Death Watch was going to be the ones who did it, not the Assembly.

With a shift in how he was laying next to her, Zhae knew Brayark was awake. Gripping him a little tighter and pulling herself in closer, Zhae pulled her free hand out from under the covers and ran her fingers gently across Brayark's scarred chest.
"Relax, Bray. Everything will work out they way it was meant to..."
She trailed off and looked up at him. With a sly grin, she climbed up on top of him, allowing the covers to fall around her, revealing her naked body.
"I know one way to help you relax before a big fight..."
She leaned forward to kiss him, and tenderly bit his lower lip as she pulled away. Biting her own lip as he grabbed her hips firmly, she raked her fingernails down his chest, feeling him tense up as she did so. And, with a soft moan escaping her lips, things began to heat up as she helped him "relax" before they headed to Obroa-Skai...

The rally point they designated was unaffiliated with their business. A gathering of any significance was bound to bring attention with it, but they could manage to slip under the radar if no one had cause to ask questions. When he slipped into the airspace of Contruum, Alkor immediately suppressed what little of his presence was not already hidden as the Astromech droid began preparation for the landing cycle. He noted the responder's ping on his console and checked the IFF code.
At least one of them had hailed him, so it wasn't going to be a lonely day after all. Alkor began his descent quietly, one hand idly gripping the strap over his head to steady himself. There was a great deal to consider before he met with Ishmael and they decided how to proceed.
"Send word that we will meet him near the Spaceport in Torian City. If anyone else plans to join us, we will head for the Cantina first."

Four Crusader-Class Corvettes were all that presently remained of Clan Vizsla's fleet, with the rest occupied with an assignment elsewhere. Should a much larger threat come looming on the horizon, so to speak, the allies of Death Watch wouldn't hesitate to lend aid. And vice versa. Should the allies of Death Watch be in need, aid would be sent without hesitation. But for now, all was peaceful.
