==Rebuilding the Citadel SL== <<106 PP; G11 Sector, Lehon, Middle Beach>>
The Palace of the Daritha sat on the northern-most point of the island-city of Middle Beach like a grim tower. However, the new building plans the Clan D'Ordinii had in mind would not be on the island itself, as there was precious little room large enough for what they had in mind. Instead, the construction project's nearest edge would be a little over a kilometer north of the island, well into the shallow seas that covered the planet. The final location of the planned building would be a three kilometer wide disc, just over five kilometers from the shore. However, it would be a short time yet before the mobile shipyard in orbit overhead would be able to begin producing the large plates that would be required for the massive construction project. Already work was underway though, shuttles formed a constant stream from the ships overhead as the wide ranging sensor net was started.
Stretching out all the way to the shore, & just as far out in the other directions, the sensors were based on a Kaminoan design that the Admiral had acquired in his time there. The sensors themselves were only small, rounded structures anchored to the sea bottom, each roughly the size of a small starfighter. However, they were also powerful enough to reach clear up into space or well out into the surrounding water. In theory, the sensor net should have needed only three or four of the devices to cover the volume of sea it wanted to watch without trouble. However, Clan D'Ordinii did nothing by half measures & nearly four dozen of the sensor arrays were scattered evenly through the area.

As the sensors where being set into place, a ring of anchor pylons where being sunk down to the bedrock below, forming the skeletal base of what would be the platform. By the time the sensor net was fully in place the first of the massive shell plates began descending from the space dock above. It was not taking the large craft above long to assemble them from the prepared parts in the cargo ships. Each of the plates was five hundred meters on a side & nearly twenty-five meters thick. The base had only been completed halfway around the loop by that point, but the first half was already perfectly able to receive the descending plates. Each slotted into place as smoothly as glass. It would soon become apparent to any watching that the plates were being locked in place in a double thick & off set pattern. Not only would someone have to blast through two plates to breach the shell, but the second layer would be centered on the joint of the first, preventing any weak points. Additionally, since the waters were only fifteen meters deep to begin with, only the lowest reaches of the plates were underwater.
As this was going on, the first of the defenses were also being installed. Along the rim of the five kilometer 'safe' ring, a heavily overlapping string of turrets began being emplaced. The main point of this line of defenses was again submerged or waterborne threats, though they would also be effective again replusor craft low enough to the water's surface. Functionally speaking, they were the technological descendant of the sonic turrets used so often by the insectoid Geonosians. The sonic weapons had proven to be even more powerful underwater than in air. Beyond the 'safe' ring was the 'threat' ring. There a much more diffuse pattern of turrets were being installed. Anything that managed to get past the first ring would likely be damaged enough that the fewer turrets could pick them off without having to rely on the overwhelming fire of the front line.
Also being installed in clusters through the threat ring were surface to air launchers. Easily able to fling their munitions out of the water & into the air to hunt down enemy aircraft, snubfighters & bombers, it would even be somewhat effective against smaller heavy craft. Finally, the water above them would provide excellent shielding against most conventional weaponry. The range of the launchers was great enough that once completed it would be able to provide a defensive umbrella of Anti-Air cover over the entire island of Middle Beach.

So far the defenses & sensors in place had only been temporary secured. Now labor drones began the process of anchoring them firmly to the floor of the sea. It was a more involved process that would be preferred for minimal impact to the ecosystem, but no construction would leave it completely untouched. Each of the node had to have a small chamber dug into the rock below, for the back up firing computers & the battery system. Then from that chamber, a conduit was drilled to the edge of the massive wall. These conduits would provide the main power & fire control for the turrets, once the wall generators had been installed. Instead of networking the nodes, each had its own dedicated conduit. In addition to all of that work, the missile node required a much larger underground chamber for the magazine rack.
While all that digging & laying of permacrete was going on for the defensive nodes, another long stretch was being prepared. This would stretch from the palace at one end to the Citadel at the other. It would, once finished, be the main & only way to get into or out of the Citadel. Functionally, it would be a buried tram line. Instead of a single straight length however, the tunnel would be build alone serpentine path that would be fair easier to defend. This would also mean that the only way into the Citadel would be to first take over the Palace. It also meant that the Palace could be used as the 'public access' for the Citadel, keeping meetings secure without having to bring them into the heart of the Citadel itself.

The last of the wall's core plates are set into place & secured. With that done, work begins on first pumping out the water that is inside the wall, & also dredging out the sand & muck as well. Work on that proceeds quickly, & before long the drones are digging into the solid bedrock of the continental shelf. As they dig deeper additional, thinner plates being used to armor the sides of the quickly deepening shaft. The water had been merely pump into the surrounding ocean & the sand had been hauled a relatively short distance. The rock on the other hand was going to be another story. Once it was finished, the shaft would completely hollow out the three kilometer wide ring down to a depth of just over three kilometers. It was a nearly mind boggling amount of rock, with very, very little in the way of valuable ores. However, there were still plenty of places that would buy natural rock, & the fact remained that the steady stream of cargo ships above would otherwise be leaving empty. While on individual terms the rock wouldn't sell for much, the sheer volume of it would help to defray the costs of the building project by a fair amount.
Work on the defensive nodes had finished. At that they were waiting on to be fully operational was for the utilities of the wall itself to be completed. A task which started nearly at the same time as the dredging began. Along the exterior of the wall, the second line of defenses were being installed. At the top of the wall, every hundred meters around the entire rim, would be an Anti-Air turret. Individually, they weren't excessively powerful, a single turret could shred an unshielded craft. Their high rate of fire & the large number of them, however, made them collectively a threat to even smaller capital ships. A quarter of the way down from the top of the wall, a second ring of turrets were being installed directly below each AA turret. These Anti-Vehicle turrets were very similar to the designs that were once mounted on the AT-TE design & would serve to destroy surface bound craft as well as add their own fire to slower flying craft. Much stronger than the AA turrets, their power resulted in a much lower rate of fire. Little expense had been spared with them though, as they could accurately hit a target the size of a human on the beach five kilometers distant. Of course, their tracking systems were on the slower side, meaning that unless the target was moving at a steady rate or stationary, they wouldn't be able to actually hit a target that small at that range. Targets that were nearer or larger would find the AV turrets perfectly capable of ruining their day however. Halfway down the wall was the last ring of turrets, yet again located directly beneath the other two mounts. Much smaller individually than even the AA turret, each of these turrets was actually a pair of continuous-beam style mounts. Much like the ball turrets of the LAAT design, they would spit a solid line of fire. The design was also set up so that they alternated their fire in order to avoid gaps in the fire due to overheating. Weaker than the AA turrets, the Anti-Personnel turrets were still perfectly capable of blowing a person in half with ease. The steady stream of fire would make an assault on the wall by a massed troops simple suicide. It would also be highly effective again lighter vehicles as well. Extending downward from the AA turrets to the AP turrets at each interval was a heavily armored ridge. This contained the power & fire control conduits for the turrets. While it did bulge out from the surface of the wall, it was less than two meters & didn't hamper the turrets.
Inside the wall, a much heavier coating was being applied. The wall would extend another twenty meters in from the edge of the core wall as the support & utility systems were installed. The primary feature of the utilities was the sheer number of small power stations. Each of set of turrets would have its own dedicated power station, which could in times of need also run one other adjacent set of turrets. This meant half the turret power stations would have to go offline before the defenses began to be affected. For the external nodes, larger power stations were used. Each was assigned a hundred turrets to power, but could if needed power up to one hundred & fifty turrets. While this meant only a third of the stations could fail before there were too many turrets to power, the fact that they had their own independent battery system made that much less important. The final beautiful note about the power systems were that they were designed to be run completely remotely. Beyond the periodic manual hands-on check, dozens of the power stations could be handled remotely by a single, two-person operations room. Instead of loading them to capacity however, one was placed every five hundred meters. Each operations room also had a small mess area, a relaxation area & a somewhat cramped resting area, so that the crews could stay on station for extended periods. However, that measure was rarely used. The operations area also handled the target priority selection for the turrets in their area. Much of the remaining area was dedicated to launch hangers for repulsor equipped M1 drones. In truth they were little more than open spaces with a retractable bulkhead looking out from the inside of the wall. The M1 drones would be packed in their like bricks in a stack. Individually, they wouldn't have much affect on an assault. But, once fully stocked, the wall would be able to launch swarms of them that could pull smaller capital ships out of the sky with brute mass alone. The remainder of the area was mostly access corridors that would allow the maintenance & operations staff to reach everything.
The tram line, once finished, would lay 5 meters under the sand of the sea floor. For the moment however, the entire stretch had been more or less ripped up by the drones working there. Three choke point style check points were being build along its length. One at either end & a third in the middle. Each was designed with two main features in mind. The first was that an extremely small force could hold the point against external threats for an extended to indefinite time. The second was that those same points be extremely difficult to nearly impossible to defend from forces attacking from the direction of the Citadel. In that frame of mind, the checkpoints had been designed with extensive defenses, both passive & active. These included shield systems, blast doors, turrets & droid defenses. As well as architectural that look ornamental, but actually serve as defensive cover to defenders, while at the same time being useless as cover against those further in the checkpoint. While any visitors would be stopped & carefully checked at either end, the checkpoint in the middle would usually be passed unaware, existing mainly as an extra line of defense in case of an attack. In the case of fires, chemical attack or other similar situations, the entire length of the tram line was regularly studded with fire suppression shields, other fire suppression systems & blast doors. In the case of an extremely dangerous hazard, a number of vents leading up into the sea above could be opened to flood the tram line. I all else failed, the entire line itself could be reduced to impassible rubble with the use explosive charges.

==Rebuilding the Citadel SL== <<106 PP; G11 Sector, Lehon, Middle Beach>>
Heavy mining operations had always been a forte of the Clan & the shaft was quickly cleared. Once that was done & the wall of the excavated area had been suitably armored, a super heavy docking cradle began to be installed. The shaft was nearly three kilometers deep, but the docking cradle would fill most of the space. It was, in fact, large enough to safely hold a Super Star Destroy sized craft. The interesting part would be getting such a craft down safely, or having one that was designed to be tall instead of the usual long.
The penultimate pieces of equipment for the Wall were now descending from the sky. A pair of Hypervelocity guns drifted down in pieces to be assembled. One would be installed on the western internal edge of the wall, while its sister gun would be installed on the eastern internal edge of the wall. Like the rest of the Citadel's defenses, each of the weapons would be set up to be able to operate completely independently of the other defensive systems. Each would have its own reactor systems, command stations, & even localized shielding systems to protect from any foes that might get close enough to threaten them. While they would be moderately capable against larger space borne capital ships like Star Destroyers, they would truly shine when firing on smaller support or screening craft.
Of course, the ultimate piece of the Wall was the theater grade shield emplacement that was being fitted into the northern internal edge of the wall. It was a truly beautiful example of its breed. At minimal spread, it would cover then entire Citadel & the five kilometers of restricted zone in a nearly unbreakable bubble of force. At maximum spread, it would cover nearly the entire archipelago under an umbrella of force that would defend from any orbital bombardment.
It would not be much longer before the initial construction cycle for the Citadel would be complete. Then all it would be waiting for would be the arrival of the Citadel itself & the final construction cycle could begin.

==First II Ball SL== <<106 PP; G11 Sector, Lehon, Middle Beach>>
<<The Gardens>> The Palace of the Daritha, in turn the throne seat of the Infinite Empire, the New Infinite Empire, Clan Or'dinii & now House D'Ordinii, was a sight to see. The main part of the compound was a ring of gardens & open green spaces inside the outer wall. Contained within were sections & small loops that hosted plants & flowers from across the known galaxy. The gardens & grounds were designed so that it was difficult to become lost, as the central spire of the Palace was visible from anywhere in the gardens. Within the gardens though, it was extremely simple for people to find small secluded spaces for conversations or private musings. Of course this feature had a militant purpose as well. Troops trying to attack through the gardens would find their lines of sight extremely short, while snipers from the main spire could freely rain down fire on them.
<<The Ballroom>> Within the spire itself, a number of rooms had been prepared for the upcoming ball. The main area was a fairly large dance floors of polished white marble. Set in large in the middle of the floor was the House D'Ordinii Symbol in a wide circle. A vast crested Mythosaur skull etched out in electrum & set with a vast array of precious jewels. Filling in the remainder of the circle was a tightly woven celtic knot-work of other precious & semiprecious metals. Other than the artwork hanging on various pillars & applied directly to the domed roof, the ballroom was otherwise empty. A small balcony overlooking the ballroom contained the orchestra that would be providing the music for the night. Several other balconies were also easily accessible from the dance floor for those seeking a moment of rest.
<<Entrance Lounge>> Several other adjacent rooms had also been opened for the soon to be arriving dignitaries. To the south side of the room, nearest to the city beyond the walls, was an entrance type area, several areas had been cleared for those that might favor a more exotic form of arrival. Other arrivals would be directed to the private hanger just beyond, were a well trained team of valets would tend to any vehicles that required it & were not already tended to by the dignitary's staff. A handsome set of double doors led into the Lounge. Scattered around the Lounge were wide collections of couches, chairs & other sitting furniture of nearly every description. The Carpeting in this area, along with the furniture itself, was done in muted patterns of black & red. Servers would be circulating through the room from the dining area with drinks & light foods for any guest in this area.
<<Dining Area>> To the east of the ballroom area was the dining area. The entire fall wall of the area was lined with a collection of alchols, spirits, other substances, & drinks that would make a hutt crime lord blush with envy. Nearly two dozen bartenders waited to serve at the pleasure of any visiting guests, & nearly any request would be filled, regardless of the legality of such drink in the drinker's home system. Between the expansive bar & the Ballroom was a space collection of heavy stone tables, anyone sitting at a table would quickly find themselves served by one of the waitstaff. As with the bar, the kitchen had been specially stocked in order to meet even the most common or exotic of requests. The cooks in fact were looking forward to the challenge of meeting any unusual request & several friendly bets were currently flying about the kitchens while they waited for the first order. This area was decorated mainly in deep, vibrant greens. The carpeting & drapery was a shade of green so dark it was almost black, while the stone of the tables & the bar was green marble & inlaid with pounamu.
<<Rest Area>> The last of the areas open to the visitors was on the west side of the ballroom, directly across from the dining area. The quickest available areas here were the well appointed bathrooms. Beyond those were a number of stately rooms that could be used by the visitors to rest or nap while the Ball was ongoing. Strangely, these rooms seemed to be perfectly suited to whoever entered them. Please ignore the woman behind the fourth wall, cackling madly & twisting up the lines of fate.

Cackling writer aside, Aya was on hand to welcome any visitors to the ball. She was dressed in her ceremonial armor. In many ways it was a fully traditional suit of armor, except it was decked out in far too many finely cut jewels & too much fancy but pointless metals. She already had plans to swap it out for her more comfortable sleeveless dress the first chance she could get out from under her writer's thumb. Until then, she would put up with the frippery & welcome the guests.

One of the first guests to arrive to the ball was the young Count from Serenno. He walked into the building dressed in his usual rich garb. Walking towards Aya, he waved before walking up to the elaborately clad Mandalorian. “Greetings, Aya. I have heard much about you. Please, allow me to introduce myself. I’m one of your clients, Count Aderon Dooku of Serenno. Thank you for hosting what I’m sure will be a most enjoyable event.”

Aya matched the wave with a slight nod. Her smile was hidden behind her helmet, but it shone through in her voice. The first arrival was within minutes of the first post, which was always a good sign, though the ball itself wouldn't technically begin for another four hours Real Time.
-Aya Welcome Count Dooku, I am Aya Dizen Or'dinii, Imperator of the House D'Ordinii. Please make yourself comfortable in my home.

Though he knew the ball started in four hours, Aderon just wanted to establish a presence since it is late in Switzerlnd and he’s going to sleep in an hour. “Thank you for your most kind welcome, Imperator D’Ordinii. If you wouldn’t mind, could you please direct to an atrium in which I can wait in? I am waiting for someone.”

-Aya Of course. The Entrance Lounge we are in now is perfectly suited for waiting for other guests to arrive, or for simply mingling.
The writer winks as she points up at the carefully written out intro post that described all the areas. Though perhaps she hadn't been clear exactly were Aya was making her greetings.

*Darth Bacon, Lord of the Kitchen, Chef Extraordinaire, once more back in action. As it had turned out, attempting to work freelance wasn't as profitable as owning and operating a steady restaurant. At this point though, Bacon just hadn't been sure where to call home next; he was also too paranoid to return to Belkadan anytime soon, considering each time he did something catastrophic inevitably happened to the planet.
... was he the bad omen?
Nah, that was a silly thought! He simply just... needed the right mood to strike! That was it! Then he'd know where his new home was, and where "Bacon's New Bistro" would soon open! ... he'd have to work on the name though.
But when word reached his ears of the imminent ball on Lehon, he couldn't not jump at the chance to cater for the event! He'd made himself present, practically begged to be part of the cooking staff, and lo and behold his request had been granted.*
"Isn't this wonderful, Eggs?" *he excitedly asked his apprentice.*
"I should have gone solo ages ago," *the yellow-skinned man lamented with a sigh.
Scowling, the red man slapped him.* "Nonsense!"
*Rubbing his cheek, Eggs replied,* "And that's one of the reason why."
*Bacon shook his head and put an arm around his shoulder.* "Don't you see? We're a team, you and I! No tastes buds can stand against our combined might!"
*Eggs blinked.* "I'll just... be in the kitchen." *He extricated himself and disappeared from sight, leaving Bacon to sigh himself before putting on a happy face and preparing to greet guests. And take orders, of course!*

Across the galaxy, a strange force exerted itself. The old powers, also known as "rifting", deemed fit to transport a random sentient across the cosmos to the Palace of Daritha. This sentient...was Janos.
The air warped and then cracked, depositing a violet haired man with maroon eyes in the exact center of the room. Currently sitting in a chair, a plate balanced in hand - the man was apparently taking a bite of waffle, and was about mid-chew when he had been transported. "Uh..." Said the man dumbly, little pieces of chewed waffle falling out. It seemed the man known as Janos had one of two choices. Roll with it, even though it was against his character, or majorly freak the karking kriff out.
Continuing on with his bite, slowly chewing, eyes darting about, Janos finished bite after bite, until fork scraped against empty plate. Only once he was finished, did Janos raise his voice, addressing the Mandalorian that was close to what appeared to be the entrance. "You, uh, got any more food? Different food, I mean, something non-breakfast? What planet is this? What time zone? But, never mind that...where exactly, is the food?" Apparently this Janos was not a morning person.

With no fanfare other than the rustle of a long, black robe against the floor, a petite female entered the area set aside for one of the famous celebrations of Clan Or'dinii. The hood was up, but a pair of green eyes were visible from its depths, glittering as the light glinted off them. Instead of a fantastically decorated gown, she was wearing her usual working outfit, black tunic, silver embroidery across the chest in the pattern of a bird-of-prey, wings stretched to full flightspan, tips reaching to her shoulders, belt and pants tucked into her serviceable boots, lightsaber in place. Noticing Aya she shivered, and her shoulders almost imperceptibly slumped. For the first time, Jade felt truly old. The universe had moved on without her.

NC walked the area, well patrolled it more than leisurely walked it. He was not particularly fond of these social gathering that everyone seemed to love so much. Still, he couldn't dodge being here for this one, so he did his best to make it look like he was on duty at least, less likely to get cornered by overly chatty jawas or annoyed by little children this way. As he patrolled the grounds, in his usual beskar'gam, a mottled pattern of deep greens and blues that made distinguish him from the... one, two, three... four? shadows in the room difficult, but otherwise merely marked his as house D'ordinii. As he paced noticed the two jetii cooks eagerly awaiting their first victims, and the noble count. They were of no interest to him what-so-ever. However, he paused as he noticed the gray robed figure with green eyes watching the room. He recognized the woman, an old... acquaintance of his buir if he wasn't terribly mistaken. He'd been less than pleased with that fact initially, but well, it was less important now. Still, his curiosity got the better of him, and he deviated from his carefully planned route, to greet her personally.Su cuy'gar jetii, I didn't know you still existed. I regret to inform you, that if you seek the old man, he's passed on. Still, there's plenty here to drink in his memory, if you've the stomach for it. Welcome to the first annual Infinite Imperium Ball, Ael Jade. I hope the advancing years haven't weathered you too severely.

Vlusu strode into the palace, looking quite good. Dressed in the robes of a Chiss noble (for that is what he is), he heads toward the dining area, for it was here that he knew that he was to meet the envoy from Serenno. Entering the room, he immediately headed to the bar to order some champagne. After receiving it, he sat down at one of the tables, waiting for the other man, whom he had heard was a Jedi, to arrive.

The writer of the Admiralty OOC, Admy, appears for a moment to let everyone know this event is only semi-IC. Writers & such are free to make appearances as well, & anything that happens here, by default, won't affect the rest of the galaxy. However, should anyone choose, the events that happen at the ball can be included in SLs that happen outside the ball. Such as any agreements/deal/introductions/meetings/etc that are made. In short, it is a slightly more IC version of the Sithies, without the awards & focusing mainly on just goofing off, having a good time, writing with people you normally don't interact with, & finding additional new people to RP with out in the regular universe. With that out of the way, Admy vanishes once again into the netherworld. A single black rose drifts down from her vanishing spot & lands on the shoulder of Ael Jade.
