*Serenno had been apart of the Empire at the end of the Clone Wars. Darth Vader enacted a purge of the great houses and placed those who were more sympathetic to the Empire in their place. Not all were purged and the Great House's survived. They placed their representatives of their particular form of government that they favored in place. Which was a Monarchical government. The set up of the room reflects just that, the lavishness of nobility. Every piece of furniture is carved from Ebony or Ivory and the desk and chair at the end of the is beautifully decorated in Platinum and Electrum. The ceiling is high and the windows lets in light to show off the Royal blue walls and the royal blue drapes with the Death Watch Sigil made from the finest Serennoan silk. *
*All this is ironic to say the least. The Senator representing Serenno now is the complete opposite. He wears the finest clothing as beholden to a man of high stature but he is huge and hulking like a bodybuilder. The man was Born Montross Ordo and he was "put" in place by the notorious Mandalorian clan Vizsla. Senator Ordo is completely loyal to the Clans of Vizsla and Ordo and puts their business ahead of the nobles. This doesn't endear him to the rest but their is sympathies and "other" means that keep him in office. Some would say corruption follows but corruption is a matter of opinion and a lack of vision. Senator Ordo isn't much for visitors, but he has an open door policy. He'll hear what anyone has to say, but he rarely listens to advice. He is someone you want on your side but it won't be worth the price for his vote. Democracy to him is just an opportunity to keep more for himself. Most would say this is the perfect Serennoan attitude. But even that is a hidden agenda for something much worse. When not on the Senate floor, he is usually found in his office furthering Death Watch's criminal agenda and protecting their "rights".*
