Valafar began to calm himself down as he knew that now was not the time for anger, for they both needed to have calm heads if they were going to make it off of the planet alive. Valafar could sense that they were getting closer to the top of the turbo lift. Hopefully there is a way that they could escape up, either the ship they came in on or a different one.

Venom could feel Valafar making an effort to calm himself down. It was a good sign. It meant he was learning to control his hatred. And he would need to do it if they were to escape. There was a time for hatred and revenge, but now was not it. The lift came to an abrupt stop. Venom glanced at the display. They had stopped at the sublevel of Novax Field that had been his former masters Sanctuary. Venom pressed the button to open the doors.
"When Xander's empire fell, Novax Field was the site of heavy fighting. If the lift stopped here, it looks like we'll be going on foot from here. Fortunately, knowing my former master, his Sanctuary has a secondary exit. Provided the surface access isn't destroyed, we should be able to get out from there. Follow me."
Venom stepped out of the lift and into the corridor. It was still in pristine condition. So the fighting obviously hadn't spread down here. The halls were decorated with lavish paintings of Viox's past triumphs. Once such painting showed Viox locked in combat with a young woman sharing a familiar resemblance to the late Lilandra Lyske, otherwise known as Lady Deathstalker. This painting was of her sister, Gemini Lyske. She had been defeated by Viox during her family's attempt to assassinate the three members of the Triumvirate, many years ago. As he walked cautiously down the corridor, there were several more paintings, depicting different moments of triumph. One showed an enraged Viox slaying the traitorous Regan B'ree, a former Jedi hellbent on defeating the Triumvirate. And another still depicted Viox and Xander locked in combat with the former Mind of the Triumvirate, Darth Kalen Grauswein. Not a particularly triumphant moment, but it was worthy of being displayed. As Venom walked down the corridor, he noticed several suits of armor mounted on mannequins. One was behind a sealed glass case. It was the light grey Admiral uniform Viox had worn during his time as the Wings of the Triumvirate. Beside it was both his and Venom's custom made clan armor, polished to a high sheen, displaying the vibrant clan colors. Next to that was a suit Venom had never seen before. The mannequin was dressed in robes and armor. The engraved display plate read: 'Darth Wraak. Assassin of Clan Starkiller.' Venom paused and admired it. Despite Viox's apparent neutrality towards Clan Starkiller, it appeared as though there were elements that had wanted him dead. Venom opened the case. How suiting would it be for him to take up the name of a former Starkiller that had made an attempt against Viox? Obviously he had been worthy, for Viox to display it in such a manner. Venom quickly stripped off his torn and dirty clothes and donned the robes and armor plates. It fit nicely. Venom turned to Valafar.
"If we are to rebuild our Clan and exact revenge on those that have wronged us, I'm going to need a new look and to embrace the darkness once more...I will take this fallen warrior's identity. You may know refer to me as...Darth Wraak..."
Venom pulled the hood up and retrieved the lightsaber laying at the foot of the mannequin. He tossed the tarnished hilt of the saber he had taken from Xander's underground lab to the floor. He didn't want it anymore. Having a weapon that had once been used against his former master was more poetic in his mind. He clipped it to his belt and began walking again. The duo passed through empty halls lavishly decorated. Viox had spared no expense at furnishing his Sanctuary exactly how he saw fit. They passed through a set of wooden doors. They had entered the War Room. Papers littered the tables. Empty cups of cafe littered the floor. Datapads and holo projectors were on nearly all of the tables. The main holotable sat before a map of Rhommamool on the wall. Clearly whatever happened in the final moments during Xander's empire had happened fast. Viox would never had allowed his Sanctuary to be left in such a state, even during war times. Venom glanced around the room, but kept moving slowly. They needed to make their way up to the surface so they could escape, though it was good to know that if they needed a place to lay low, they could. Venom knew his former master's Sanctuary was fully self sufficient. Even if it had sat vacant for the last few years, he was positive he could get it up an running again. The whole planet ran on geothermal deposits, allowing it to be powered indefinitely, provided the planet remained intact.

Rhommamool. High Orbit. Imperious-Class Star Destroyer, Elizabeth's Fury.
The sole remaining ship of Xander's, exited hyperspace above the crimson dust ball. Grand Admiral Jericho was at the helm. Warden Savage, the A.I on board, updated him.
"Standard Orbit achieved. Nothing on our scopes, or our long range sensors. Activating our sensor mask and transmitting codes to Osarian to allow us to pass through the Disruptor Field unharmed. All decks report ready for action."
Jericho, standing at the main viewport, nodded in acknowledgement.
"Thank you Warden. Keep our presence here under wraps and keep monitoring the system. Have the ship brought up to Condition Two and ready the alert fighters."
The A.I's Grand Moff avatar bowed at the Admiral's orders.
"Of course, sir."
As the A.I waited for further orders, his voice was projected across the ship's intercom system.
Action stations. Action stations. Set Condition Two throughout the ship and prepare to launch the alert fighters.
Jericho smiled as klaxons sounded and warning lights flashed. It had been such a long time since he had heard that sound. Despite not needing to ready the ship for attack, he was taking every precaution necessary to ensure the success of his mission. Once Overlord Savage had been extracted from the planet's surface, he would allow him to take control. But until then, he was in charge of his ship.
"Excellent. Once cleared to pass through the disruptor field, move us into low orbit and initiate surface activities."
The A.I's avatar straightened up and saluted.
"Understood, Grand Admiral. I will get us underway as soon as I can."
As the A.I's avatar dissipated from the pedestal next to him, an aide approached Jericho with a steaming cup of cafe. Jericho accepted it and returned his attentions to the main view port. Soon Xander would be among them once more. Soon.

Pious Inquisitor. Bridge. Osarian Orbit.
Upon the arrival of the Imperious-Class Star Destroyer in orbit over Rhommamool, the ship-board A.I fragment of Rampant Savage alerted Vallius right away.
"Sir! Hyperspace exit vector detected. Rhommamoolian Orbit. Classification: Imperious-Class. It's Overlord Savage's flagship, Elizabeth's Fury."
At this news, Vallius, who had been busily pouring over all the information Rampant had pulled on the Imperial Military Academy on Osarian's surface, stood up right.
Vallius Savage:"Power us down. Leave only the life support and gravity on. We aren't in a position to fight something of that size..."
As the A.I carried out its orders, the bridge went dark, save for the dim illumination coming from the life support console. Vallius allowed his eyes to adjust to the dim lighting. The A.I's blue-hued avatar shimmered to life on the holotable, casting a wash of blue light, though it was dimmer than usual. A result of the ship being powered down.
Vallius Savage:"Have they detected us?"
A few seconds passed, then Rampant answered.
"Not to my knowledge. Our sensors would have pinged if they had detected us. Sir, with the ship powered down, I am afraid I won't be much use. I've limited my cycles to what is absolutely necessary for my operation. Beyond that, I can't do much else unless we power back up. I'm sorry sir."
Vallius dismissed the A.I's apology.
Vallius Savage:"We need to contact Sergeant Marek...or get down to the surface ourselves. Do whatever it is you need to do to get me there."
The A.I's avatar bowed.
"I will do what I can. I believe if we do not power up fully, the Fury won't detect us. It may take a an hour or so to get us there on sublight power, but I believe it is possible."
Vallius nodded.
Vallius Savage:"Make it happen."
And with that, the A.I's ghostly avatar disappeared from the holotable, throwing the bridge into near darkness. And then the ship began to move, angling itself towards Osarian. The glow from the planet illuminating the bridge as the ship began to make its way down to Osarian's surface.

Viox Savage's Hidden Sanctuary, Rhommanool.
Valafar knew that his clan brother was right about rebuilding their clan and he also knew that it was for the best if Venom embraced the dark side again, for he knew that they would need any and all advantages they could get. Valafar had to let a grin come across his face, at the thought of how the galaxy would see them. Darth Wraak and Darth Verenhimo would be names that gave others nightmares, that fear that others will soon have will help Venom descend further into the darkness, all the while helping him gain enough power so that Venom and himself could exact revenge on all those who have wronged them. Valafar walked through the abandoned Sanctuary of his former master's son. As he walked he saw the exit that would most likely take them up to Novax field. Valafar walked towards it and took a look over his left shoulder to see the Venom was not far behind, once he reached the door Valafar would stop and wait for Venom.

Rhommamool. Imperial Council Hall. Ruins of the Imperial City of Exodus.
As Xander when about collecting things to be taken off world, he felt a subtle twinge in the Force. He paused mid stride and focused on it. After a few minutes of intense focus, he could feel the unique Force signature of his grandson. Barely, but it was there. A wicked grin split his face. It appeared as though everything was coming together. Everyone was coming back for a reunion it seemed. Xander then extended his perceptions outwards, connecting with his apprentice and Venom.
Run while you can. You cannot avoid the inevitable. Either this wasteland will be your grave, or some other world will be. But rest assured, you will die by my hand...you cannot hide from me on this world...
And Xander ceased the connection between the Starkillers, he then activated the com console and spoke to his Grand Admiral.
Grand Admiral. Begin launching your recovery teams. There is much that needs to be done and little time to do it in. And while you are at it, dispatch a team to Novax Field. Let's give our guests a new reason as to why my Empire was feared.
Without waiting for a reply, Xander terminated the link and delved into the Force once more, this time contacting his grandson.
Vallius...it has been too long. Know that you cannot hope to hide from me here. Before I leave this system, know that I will find you...it is inevitable...
Xander then broke that connection as well. Now that he was back and in the flesh, he was nigh unstoppable at this time. As an essence, he could be defeated, but having his physical body restored gave him a much deeper access to the Force as well as his long forgotten abilities. Soon everyone that was gathered here would remember why he was to be feared...

As the Pious Inquisitor, a Marauder-Class Corevtte, slowly crept towards the world of Osarian, Vallius felt a darkness within the Force and then in his own mind. The dread inducing presence of his late grandfather, Xander Savage, filled his mind. His words, venomous and laced with malice, echoed within his head. And at that moment, Vallius felt a fear course through him. His grandfather knew he was here. Maybe not exactly where, but he knew he was here. They needed to act and quickly. If his grandfather decided to actively hunt them down, they were all doomed. Unless he could contact his father, though he wasn't even certain if his father would answer. Since the fall of the Empire, Viox had dropped off the grid...regardless, Vallius knew that now they were racing against the clock to escape from Rhommamool before Xander could get to his flagship...

Venom followed his clan brother to the door. He knew there was a lift near by, but something else was tugging on his senses. Something familiar. As he was about to walk through the door, his comm crackled to life. He answered it.
"Cap'n? It's Starkiller, go ahead. How bad? Okay. Yes. I'll go take a look. If it's as big as you say, I may need some help. I'll ping you our location once we find it. Starkiller out."
Venom turned on his heel. He called over his shoulder to Valafar as he walked away.
"Cap'n needs parts for the ship. Said there was a storage and maintenance locker on the next level. Be on your guard. This place still holds many traps for intruders. I'd rather not be caught in them..."
Venom approached another door. With on heave, he shoved it open. A dark stairwell. He walked out, and activated his newly acquired lightsaber. The red blade sprang to life, casting out an eerie red glow that did little to ease the ominous darkness. He peered over the edge of the landing he was on and looked down. Twisted support pillars, mangled metal girders and rocks and sand greeted him. Whatever was below Savage's Sanctuary was inaccessible from here. He glanced upwards. Aside from the sand, the stairs seemed to be intact. Venom moved over to the stairs and began climbing up. Hopefully it wouldn't take them long to locate their objective and leave this god forsaken place. With Xander once again among the living, they had a very powerful enemy lurking in the shadows. And he didn't want to be around once Xander finally caught up.

Nate, Wash and Zoe had arrived at Novax Field. If the Imperial City of Exodus was a ruin, then the Field was worse. Craters littered the once vast spanning tarmacs. Carbon scorching and duracrete littered the ground. Partially demolished buildings and completely wrecked fighters were scattered about. Whatever had taken place here during the Fall hadn't been pretty. Though pretty wasn't really necessary for them right now. Usable was. They needed usable parts to get Serenity operational again. And hopefully they could find the parts they needed quickly. Nathan didn't like being on this planet any longer than he had to be. It was starting to make his head feel fuzzy. And there was a constant uncomfortable feeling in the air. He couldn't describe it, but it was there. Clutching his carbine, Nathan spoke to Zoe and Wash."We'll cover more ground if we split up. I'll head to the command towers and see if there is any records of the parts we need. Wash, take the north hangars. Zoe, take the east hangars. We'll meet up here in two hours. If we haven't found the parts then, we'll go out again."Wash and Zoe nodded, cast a glance at each other, then departed in separate directions. Nate watched them go, then spun on his heel and jogged across the tarmac towards the ruined command towers, dodging craters and wrecked fighters as he did so. Hopefully they would find what they needed soon. He wanted to leave this place before anything else could befall him or his crew... Nate had long since found his way into what remained of the Command Towers at the center of Novax Field. He had even managed to access a terminal. All data that hadn't been corrupted indicated that the underground hangar bay housed parts that may have been usable. Which was a good thing. Unfortunately the main turbolift was damaged beyond use. However, records indicated that there was a secondary lift in Residential Tower 082. He sent off a quick message to Venom and then took off towards the Tower. Hopefully the lift there would be functional. He then called Zoe and Wash as he moved.Zoe, Wash. I think I've located the parts we need. I'm heading to whatever remains of the Residential Towers. Venom and his oversized pal at nearby. They'll meet us there. I'm sending you the location. Get there as quick as you can.Without waiting for a reply, Nathan continued to make his way over to the twisted remains of the Residential Towers. It wasn't looking good, but he still had a bit of hope, despite everything that happened. As much as he wanted to throw his hands up in the air and walk away from it all, he needed to keep it together. For the sake of the crew. If they were going to get out of here in one piece, they needed a strong leader to help them through this. Though with each passing hour, he was starting to doubt whether or not they were all going to get out of here in one piece. Especially after what Xander had revealed to him. He was certainly planning on having words with the giant Zabrak before he set foot on his ship again. That much was certain. And this time, he wasn't going to trust Venom with the decision making. It was his ship. His way or no way.

After what seemed like an eternity within the dimly lit stairwell, Venom finally came to a door. Sensing Valafar a few steps below, Venom waited for him to catch up. As Valafar approached, Venom spoke.
"We need to hurry up and find the part or parts the Captain needs so we can leave. The longer we take, the more likely we are to run into Xander or his forces. He's made it very clear that we are not getting off this world alive. We need to hurry. Are you ready?"
Venom's hand hovered over the button that would open the door. The strange, yet familiar sensation he had been feeling before seemed to be growing stronger. Whatever it was, it wasn't as important as them finding a way off the planet. If they happened to come across whatever it was that seemed to be drawing them closer, they would deal with it. If not, then the sands of Rhommamool could claim it. Venom had seen enough of this planet to last him several lifetimes. He was sick of the crimson sand. The heat. The arid air. There was nothing left for him here. Hopefully Valafar shared his feeling of the planet. While Valafar hadn't been on this planet before now, this planet seemed to have a way with eventually making it's inhabitants want to leave. For good. Venom only hoped they could escape before Xander or something else decided to detain them. Permanently.

Valafar hated that he and his brother had to rely on that fool of a captain, but he could be useful as in they could use him and his ship to get off of the planet. So for now he would help the fool of a captain, but should he or anyone on his crew cross him, they would find out why he was named Verenhimo. Valafar also knew that he and his brother were not in any shape to force Xander or his forces, at least not yet.
"Yes brother, i am ready"
With that said Valafar hurried to catch up to Venom. Valafar was getting impatient, since he wanted to leave Rhommamool and it's crimson sands. As he inched closer to Venom, his thoughts returned to what he had learned earlier, about him being a hybrid of both Clan Starkiller and Clan Savage. It was something that he would have to get used to. Perhaps it could prove useful, since he had communed with the spirit of his father. For now though he would focus on the task at hand, finding the part or parts needed to fix the ship.

As his Clan brother caught up, Venom nodded. He pushed the door button. After a few seconds of hesitation, the door slid open with a screech. Venom stepped through. As he did so, a sickly sweet smell greeted his nostrils. He continued forward, cautiously. Once both he and Valafar were through the door, it slammed shut, cauing Venom to jump with a start. His eyes scanned the darkened corridor. He could barely make out anything. After a few moments, he drew his lightsaber and ignited it. The red blade sprang to life, casting an ominous red glow to everything around them. It did little to ease the darkness, but it did give him some light to see. He continued onward, slowly.
Something felt...wrong in this corridor. He couldn't quite place it, but the sudden urge to leave this area was pressing on him. It made him uncomfortable. He didn't like it.
As he slowly walked forward, an even stronger smell hit him. It was the stench of death and decay. And then it dawned on him. His eyes widened in fear. He turned to Valafar.
"No. No it cannot be...all this time and its still here...we need to get out of here..."
No sooner had the words escaped his lips, a groaning, screeching sound greeted his ears. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up on end, causing him to involuntarily shiver.
Hearing that unmistakable sound brought back a whole flood of memories from his former life. This was one of the times he was truly afraid. Rathan than pressing through this area, he would have happily faced down Xander's Krath War Droids that had chased them here. Hell, he'd even have taken his chances against Xander himself at this point. What they were about to encounter was much worse then Xander could ever have been, if that was even possible...
Venom sprinted back to the door and slammed his hand against the release button. Nothing happened. Typical. Thinking quickly, he brought his blade to bear. He plunged it into the door. Seconds before the blade made contact with the door, the beam of energy refracted and split apart. Venom jumped back in surprise. Cortosis. The door was lined with it to prevent a lightsaber from cutting through it. Dread filled the pit of his stomach. It looked like they had no other choice but to continue on and push through whatever it was that lay ahead. Venom swallowed, his throat suddenly very dry.
"It looks like we have no choice but to continue forward...stay close. No matter what happens next, don't touch anything...this is going to be far more unpleasant then facing off against Xander...."
Venom eyed up his brother for a few seconds longer, sighed heavily, then began walking forward, down the corridor. This was going to be hell...

Osarian. Low orbit.
The Marauder-Class Corvette, Pious Inquisitor had managed to slink down into low orbit over Osarian, Rhommamool's neighboring planet. It was now safely out of the Imperious-Class Star Destroyer's range. At least for the time being. That could all change rather quickly, depending on the situation. Which is why Vallius was now on a shuttle heading to the surface of Osarian where the rest of his Stormtroopers were currently stationed, trying to disable the disruptor field that was preventing ships from leaving and taking off from Rhommamool.
It was interesting, though. Xander's ship was immune to the field. So either he had special shielding against it, or he had access codes to disable it while his ship was in orbit. Either way, Vallius had ordered his A.I fragment, Rampant Savage, to look into it while he was on the surface. If destroying anything on the surface was the only option, he would surely attract Xander's attentions. And he wanted to avoid that for a long as possible. He had the sinking feeling that he was going to end up facing his grandfather before he left here, but the longer he delayed the inevitable, the more time he had to think on how he would handle the situation.
The shuttle shook slightly as it broke through the atmosphere and headed to the surface of the lush world. Soon Vallius would be able to see first hand what he was dealing with.

As Valafar followed his Clan brother, he could sense a fear unlike anything he had ever sensed before coming from Venom. This fear was apparent when Venom plunged his saber into the door. Valafar listened to his clan brother as he spoke, he wondered what was more unpleasant than facing the newly resurrected Xander. Valafar thought on this all the while following Venom through the corridor. As Valafar thought on what Venom was so afraid of, he decided to ask him.
"What lurks in the shadows of this corridor, brother?"
Valafar continued to follow his Clan brother through the corridor all the while waiting for Venom to answer his question. As he walked and waited on Venom to answer, the force granted him a vision. It came so fast he could barely make it out. The parts that he could make out were a person's face, someone with dark red skin. Valafar could tell that this person had or has a strong connection to the dark side of the force, he also had a feeling of being extremely cold. Once they had some time to catch their breath he would think on it some more, until then he would continue to follow Venom and await his answer to his question.

Holding his lightsaber up, in an attempt to illuminate the corridor ahead, Venom walked cautiously along. He was constantly scanning the corridor ahead, eyes darting back and forth.
"Something terrible. Something that may very well prove to be the end of us..."
Venom continued walking. The corridor opened up wider. On either side of them now were glass windows. Most of them were streaked with dirt or cracked. A few covered on the other side. Venom leaned in to one, holding his lightsaber close enough to allow him to peer through. He squinted, eyes scanning for anything. Beyond the red hue of his saber, several barely discernible shapes seemed to dart further into the shadows. As Venom leaned in even closer to the glass to try and make out the shapes, suddenly a hideous creature slammed up against the glass with enough force to crack it. Venom jumped back and let out a yelp in surprise. The grotesque visage of a horribly disfigured human could be seen. Though the head hung off to the side at an odd angle. And the grey discolored flesh seemed to flake as it pushed against the glass. And then came the ear piercing screech. Venom's eyes widened in fear as the creature brought its left arm up against the glass. Long whip-like tendrils were protruding at the wrist. As the tendrils impacted the glass, causing it to crack and splinter further, Venom shouted to Valafar.
"RUN!"
And with that, Venom took off down the corridor as fast as his legs would carry him. As he ran, with his Clan brother in tow, Venom noticed more of these creatures pressing themselves against the glass.
This couldn't be happening. The planet had been abandoned for years. No sustainable life to speak of. And yet here it was. Viox's former apprentice, Cain Dracus' mutated parasitic lifeform. The Dracus had survived. And it was hungry. Venom and Valafar had just walked into the remains of Cain's old laboratory where he had experimented on the creatures, trying to weaponize them for the Triumvirate, and then the Empire. This biological monstrosity was fiendish and intelligent, and driven to consume any and all sentient life it encountered. If he and Valafar managed to escape, one thing was certain: None of these remaining specimens could be allowed to escape the lab. Otherwise they will have loosed damnation upon the galaxy...
