Castle noticed Rianon's approach as he was taking a swig of his caf. As she leaned in to him, he transferred his mug from his right hand to his left and wrapped his right arm around her with a slight squeeze. He then allowed his hand to gently slide down to her butt. He gave it a quick squeeze and grinned, bringing his hand back up around her waist.
"I slept very well. First time in months, actually. How about you? Sleep well?"
Upon waiting for her to reply, he continued to simply enjoy her presence and take in the beautiful scenery of the gardens as well as the mountains further out. It was truly a beautiful morning. Picturesque and idyllic in nature. Like from the bed time stories his mother used to read to him when he was a boy. He sipped his caf as he waited for her response.

Rianon laughed as Johnathan grabbed her butt. Seeing him this comfortable and free made her happy.
"I slept very well. Better than I have in a long time. No nightmares. I haven't had a night that peaceful in years. Which is good for you."
She smiled and put an arm around his waist. She kissed his neck. A sweet little peck, nothing scandalous or provocative about it. She liked being able to do that. Just grab his hand (or butt), a kiss or simply laying a hand on his shoulder. She could make it as innocent as she wanted. Or completely the opposite. It was amazing how much you could convey in a single look.

Castle grinned as she laughed. He was about to say something when the last part of her sentence sunk in. Good for him? That was an oddity. How was it good for him? Deciding to not mull it over and just ask, he did.
"Good for me? What do you mean?"
He raised an eyebrow, looking at her quizzically. This woman just kept getting more and more interesting as the days progressed. They'd only been off of Serenity for roughly twenty-four hours now. And it seemed like a lifetime ago when they both had stepped off the ship at the spaceport. So much had transpired between them.

Rianon's smile faded a bit. She brought it up, and he did have a right to know.
"I probably should have warned you about it before, but we were a little distracted. My past haunts me, still. I have nightmares from my time on the slave ship and they got worse after... after they died. I can get violent. The last person to share a bed with me woke up to a knife at their throat."
She smiled faintly.
"She got over it rather quickly after she realized what was happening and why."

Full of surprises was an understatement. But, Castle knew she would never do something like that to him. He just knew it. There was no reasoning or proof, just his gut instinct telling him. He nodded reassuringly to her, set his mug on the railing and moved to stand behind her. He placed both of his hands on her shoulders and began to gently massage her.
"Darlin', you go nothin' to worry about. We'll work through it, day by day. No point in rushing into a whole new bag of issues...speaking of...she!?! What are you implying with that? Is there something else I need to know about you?"
He asked the question skeptically. After her performance last night, he highly doubted that she was the type to play with women as well, but he still wanted to know for sure. At the juncture, he couldn't really assume anything...

Rianon laughed at his questions.
"Nothing like that. After the funeral my friend Essarra was here. She was on the slave ship with me. She's actually the one I was healing when I was found. We were talking about everything that had happened since the ship. She had made it back to the family who raised her and married the heir to the House. We fell asleep while we were talking and she woke up to me crouched over her with a knife to her throat. She knew what was happening and talked me out of it. Nothing smutty about our confrontation. I like men. More specifically, I like you."
She smiled and kissed him.

He kissed her back. He then grinned.
"I never once assumed there was anything smutty about it."
He laughed and finished his cup of caf.
"So, what is on the agenda for today? Perhaps meet your friend? Go to the Zoo? What ever you want to do, I am okay with. Could probably use a shower first though..."
He looked out over the gardens once more, watching the dark clouds on the horizon. Rain. There was something he hadn't experienced in a long time. Maybe it would rain today? He kinda hoped it would. Either way, he really didn't feel like sitting around the house today. He wanted to live a little, do something fun.

She smiled and gave Johnathan a quick squeeze.
"Essarra actually lives on Trindello. But she randomly shows up. I'll send her a wave and see if she's about. We could go riding. That is, if you know how. And I am always down to go to the Zoo. A shower sounds wonderful, though. I think we both need one after last night."
She winked at him and headed back in to the bedroom. She walked past the bed and dropped her robe onto it before disappearing into the bathroom.

Castle grinned as she walked off. As soon as she dropped her robe, Castle sprinted into the room. That was all the persuasion he needed to get his butt in gear and get on with the day. He came sliding to a halt at the bathroom door. He then closed the bathroom door, grinning ear to ear...
An unspecified amount of time later...
Castle was sitting on the end of the bed, pulling on his socks. Once finished, he pulled his boots on and laced them up. Standing up and walking over to the mirror, he ran his hand through his hair and shook his head. He was okay with the messy hair look. As long as it wasn't all over the place, he didn't care. Dressed in a black t-shirt, faded blue jeans and his usual black combat boots, he was ready to head out. He banged on the bathroom door.
"C'mon darlin', let's go. I'd like to at least get there before it starts raining..."
Castle then stood in the doorway to the bedroom, leaning on the frame, arms crossed as he impatiently waited. He was one helluva mechanic, but patience wasn't one of his strong points.

Rianon laughed as she walked out of the bathroom. She was wearing a blue satin ankle length dress with elbow length sleeves covered by a light blue corset. As Johnathan had never seen her wearing anything other than plain, black clothes his reaction was bound to be different. She shook her head as she grabbed a pair of black boots from the closet.
"Do you have any idea how long it takes to tie yourself into a corset?"
She laughed and kissed his cheek. A knock on the door made her spin around.
"Come in."
"Milady, you have a visitor waiting in the small library."
"Thank-you, Cheri. We'll be down momentarily."
Once Cheri closed the door Rianon frowned.
"I already dealt with Kenan. Who else could be here? I hope this won't be anything serious. We just started having fun."
She winked at Johnathan and headed for the door. She led the way down to the small library. She entered the room and laughed.

Seeing Rianon dressed in something other than black was...different. Good different, but different just the same. Before he could say anything, Cheri was at the door, informing them of a visitor. Once Cheri left, Castle noticed the frown on Rianon's face. As she left the room, winking at him, he followed her back down to the small library. He was unsure as to what was so funny, since she started laughing as soon as she entered the room. Figuring it best to just hang out in the background, Castle stood off to the side, waiting for introductions.

Essarra stood in the small library of her dear friend's house. She hadn't seen Rianon in almost two years. The house hadn't changed at all. But she doubted that it ever would. The door opened and she turned around in time to catch Rianon's startled expression and hear her laugh.
"You find my visit comical, my dear?"
She walked forward and gave Rianon a hug. Then she turned and gave the man accompanying her friend a good once over.
"Who is this delicious creature?"

Rianon smiled at her dear friend and hugged her tight.
"Your visit isn't funny. It's just that we were talking about you earlier. I was going to send you a wave to see if you were around. This is Johnathan Castle. He's the mechanic on Serenity. Johnathan, this is Lady Essarra Caesio. She is married to Lord Talenos Siluricus of Trindello. She also happens to be a gifted pilot. She'd definitely give Wash a run for his money."

A startled look appeared on his face, being addressed as a 'delicious creature'. He quickly hid it and stepped forward.
"Lady Caesio. A pleasure to meet you."
He inclined his head in her direction. That was about as formal as he got with introductions. Having been raised on Agamar most of his life, he never had the need to become more 'civilized' as it were. Hopefully it wouldn't be a problem for anyone, but he was a gifted mechanic, not some pretty boy. Hopefully they'd be back on Serenity soon, as he was starting to miss it, and he figured that the Captain would more than likely need him fixing things again soon.

Essarra laughed at Castle's pleasantries.
"Call me Essarra. The whole 'Lady' business makes me feel old. Rianon, darling, I'm not here on a social call. I had just landed on planet when Jerrak Vao contacted me. He thinks your Captain might need help. They left Iridonia with a passenger. They were headed to Rhommamool. Vao said they haven't checked in."
She looked at her friend in concern.

At the mention of the Captain and the rest of the crew being in trouble, Castle perked up.
"Then we gotta go help. If they are in trouble, the could probably use a medic and a mechanic right now. And you said Essarra is a pilot that could give Wash a run for his money...we've got everything we need to get there and help them."
Castle looked at Rianon.
"You remember the Empire? The one we helped topple five years ago? Rhommamool was the home planet of that Empire. If Nathan is there, then he's stepped in it...we gotta help them..."
As much as Castle wanted to stay here and spend time with Rianon, he also had a job to do. And right now, he was needed to possibly do that job.

Rianon pulled the bell cord beside her, calling Cheri into the room.
"Cheri, send word to Doaba Guerfel Starport. I want my ship ready in an hour."
Cheri bowed and left the room.
"Yes, I have a small ship here. We can take it. Ess, we'll need your help. If anything happens to them..."
She grabbed Johnathan's hand for support.
"I'm not losing anyone else. Are you equipped for this, Ess? Do you need anything? You still have clothes here. And feel free to raid my closet for anything you need."

Essarra nodded. She was the one who had flown it to the Doaba Guerfel Starport two years previous. She patted her side, under her jacket.
"I always have it with me. I was getting bored anyway. I have a bag near the door. Grab yours so we can go. I'll speak to Mrs. Baird about getting us some provisions. Your medical supplies arrived when I did. I'll have Tomas load them into a speeder for us."
She hugged Rianon and left to find Tomas.

Castle watched as Essarra left the room. She was certainly very interesting. But right now, there was more important things to worry about. The Captain and his crew were in trouble. And they needed to help. Castle turned to Rianon.
"If we are going to do this, we gotta do it smart. We gotta be prepared. Any medical supplies you can carry. Bring all of them. Weapons. We may need them too. And any tools and parts for Serenity that we may be able to get our hands on, we should bring as much as we can. No telling what kind of shape the ship'll be in..."
Castle cast a glance at Rianon. As much as he had enjoyed the time they had spent together, now it was time to put that behind them and go save the crew...

Rianon walked over to a large painting of fruit and pressed a button. The painting disappeared, revealing a large console. She keyed in a few characters and a list quickly filled the screen.
"This is a list of everything currently in stock at the Spaceport and nearby repair shops. Order everything you think we could need, or that you've been wanting for a while. Don't worry about the cost, I'll take care of it. Everything I wanted arrived earlier. You get to ordering, I have a couple things I need to do. I'll meet you back here in half an hour."
Rianon kissed him and quickly left the room. As soon as she was out of earshot, she broke into a run. She flew down the garden paths, into the maze. She slowed to a walk as the mausoleum loomed before her. She pulled the door open and stepped inside. Torches flickered on the walls, illuminating the epitaphs for her parents and the cenotaphs for Malak and her daughter. She sat on the floor and uttered a prayer. She would be back, one day. After a few minutes she stood and left the mausoleum. As the doors banged shut, she hardened her heart to face what was to come. She needed to stay calm, no matter what they found. She just hoped that everyone was okay. As she neared the house, she could hear the flurry of activity within. Also the unmistakable smells of food cooking. Mrs. Baird was planning to send them off well fed. She entered her room again and quickly moved all of her clothes out of her travelling case. An assortment of colours and textures replaced her plain black garments. Then, out of the closet, Rianon summoned a box. In it was a gift from her father that he gave to her shortly before his death.
Rianon had always referred to this garment as her "battle dress" due to its composition. The fabric was woven out of metal-like fibres. It was a deep midnight blue, but shone subtly. It formed to her torso in a heavily boned and sculpted bodice. The skirt was a simple aline, trimmed in black. The black from the bottom of the skirt was drawn upwards, fading into the dark blue. Wide wraps covered her shoulders, but left her arms bare. It laced up the back like a corset with metallic black laces.
Rianon changed out of her blue satin gown and into the battle dress. She braided her hair down her back, securing it with a metal clasp. From the bottom of the box, she pulled out a black wrap bracelet. It wound around her wrist, and up her arm. Until she discovered her Force abilities, the bracelet had be merely a pretty accessory. Now, it was a weapon. When activated with the Force it became a whip, uncuttable by anything less powerful than a lightsaber. She was ready for whatever might happen. Securing her case, she walked down the stairs and into the small library.
