Just posting here to keep an eye on things. I'm definitely enjoying where this is going though.

Might as well continue over from the rebel stage of this "Alliance". It'd be a good place for me to re-start.

So I guess the important question to ask now is: who do we want to set as the "OOC leaders" of the group that will also act as the Triumvirate watch dogs? My vote is that Aer be one of them (being that he is going to be the Jedi Orders new Grand Master).

Sounds cool. Sorry I haven't been around for a year or so, but I'll make an effort to keep my life under control and be more committed here. Wondering if it would be possible to be an agent of the Alliance's intelligence organization, if you're going to have one?

That would certainly be possible. Going to need to have spies around the place garnering intelligence for the GA to act upon.

At the risk of over-complicating things (I'm good at that), at least some of the OOC leaders should be IC politician characters, not IC Jedi characters. Otherwise, it looks like the Jedi run the Alliance, which is not exactly the image we want.

Well technically, the Rebel Alliance was started by the Jedi initiative AND, from the looks of Aer's post, its evolution into the Galactic Alliance is also a Jedi initiative.
So it could easily look that way just by the Jedi's actions in fostering a resistance group against renewed Imperial aggression and then solidifying and transforming it into a successor of the Galactic Republic. However, I think what Rawkill means by "OOC leaders" are just those who make sure people don't abuse the Triumvirate being NPC and twist it their own advantages IC.

Not my intent, if you're referring to my Council Chambers post. It was more meant to imply that the non-Jedi heads of the Alliance were wanting to form into a Galactic Alliance and the Council was discussing that as well as some slight restructuring of their own. As that post also mentions, while Aerandir was the one to get the Alliance moving initially, leadership was still left to non-Jedi heads. But I see what Dimitri's saying and I get his point. I do agree, which is why I made an admiral alt to have some sort of military personnel alt. That I haven't really had a chance to use. Oops. But he exists.

Sounds good Carlos. The more the merrier At the risk of over-complicating things (I'm good at that), at least some of the OOC leaders should be IC politician characters, not IC Jedi characters. Otherwise, it looks like the Jedi run the Alliance, which is not exactly the image we want. That's not over complicating it at all. In fact, My hope was that some non Jedi people would indeed be involved in the OOC and IC leadership of the GA. in fact, with the formation of the GA, it will open the side to some more political RP. That's the whole point of this entire move. The Jedi have done their best to not look like we are running the Alliance IC. It is why Felucia is the Jedi HQ and Mon Cal is the Alliance Capital. To seperate the two. I was merely suggesting Aer be one of the OOC leaders/watchdogs for the fact that he'll be the new Jedi grand master, and has proven himself a capable OOC "authority". There will be more than one leader/watchdog and if you have any suggestions or would like to volunteer, would more than welcome it Dmitri. I think the biggest thing, is just that people recognise and respond better to mine and Aer's Jedi accounts, because people associate them better with us than any of our alts as well...

I'll be dropping a NPC senator to represent the Federation of the Double Worlds, since that's where my forces come from.

@rawkill In that case, once I get off Tatooine I'll be willing to be employed anywhere. Any ideas as to the type of bureaucratic figure you'd want from me?
Also, are the Senate suites and offices going to be unarchived if the Senate is returning?

Well, a senator would be nice. But if you'd be up for it, could be the person in charge of running the GA Intelligence Network? As for work, maybe have a chat with some of the FO writers and see if one of them would be up for a SL. Otherwise, we will try and see if we can't work something out...
As for the Senate suites and offices. We're abandoning Coruscant. Leaving all of that behind. Going to be setting up a new government building on Mon Calamari. Going to try and keep it small so we don't over clutter it, but if we need to, we'll add some more threads.

Going to try and keep it small so we don't over clutter it, but if we need to, we'll add some more threads. Sounds fair. And I wouldn't mind running the GA's Intelligence, though that would mean I'm doing it for both the GA and the FO, lol. If that's okay with you, I'll do it. Otherwise I could be someone in a similar position like General Garza from TOR or something? Or just a Minister for Intelligence or some such.

That's fine. If you run both sides you can better figure out on an OOC level what each side should/would know for things that aren't planned raids. Obviously in those cases, the writers themselves would decide what intel each side would have to make the SL possible. Otherwise, the only other thing is, would you be up for running both sides?

Oh geez. Not a Senate. -_______________- Wrangling an IC Senate is soul-crushing work. I don't wish that on anyone.
