They weren't just fancy, the ship's were SoroSuub ships, they were so fancy they made the Emporer's Personal Quarters on Coruscant feel like a bunk bed on the Millenium Falcon. Krokh then turned around as a Female Clerk exited the back room area, giving her a quick look over as she asked if there was anything she could help them with. A couple things came to his mind, but they were quickly ruined as the Devaronian force pushed her into the back room and shorted out the controls. He was a little disappointed to have missed a chance to start working on a harem, but there was still time. He then walked alongside the Devaronian as they made their way along the corridor, as the shorter man introduced himself =Krokh DuhnDe= They call me Lord DuhnDe where I come from... But you can call me Krokh... Krokh then drew his sword from it's sheath as he heard the sound of boots coming along the corridor ahead of them. The crowd began to part to either side of the corridor as several armed officer's raced along, headed straight for Krokh and Krae. The officer's raised their guns as the spotted the pair =Officer #56= Dark Citadel Police! Hands in the air! Krokh smiled behind the metal helm that hid his face as he raised his sword into a guard position. He then turned his head slightly towards Krae =Krokh DuhnDe= They never learn... do they?

“Not until it’s too late.” Krae replied. Seemingly compliant with the officer’s instructions, he stopped and raised his hands in the air, but as he did so, the metal bench beside him broke free of its floor-mounting bolts and began to float. “Here, CATCH!” he shouted as he used the Force to throw the bench ‘to’ the police.
They tried to fire off a few shots, but it was panic fire, and the blasts mostly either hit the bench or the building as they dove for cover. The flying furniture was ‘caught’ by three fielders, who collapsed under its weight and lay pinned to the ground.
“Howzaaat! Well, I guess they got me out then. You’re up, mate.”

Korkh smirked at Krae's reply, before the Devaronian tossed a table down along the corridor, before three oficcer's managed to catch it as they went down. It was indeed out, meaning it was now his turn to give it a go. Krokh turned the blade slightly in his hands, so the flat of it faced the remaining officers. He then sprinted forward as he brought the sword back over his shoulder, before stopping almost level with one of the officer's, taking a stance so is body was facing the other's side on. At the same time he brought the sword forward and hit the officer square in the gut, in a similar fashion one might hit a ball with a bat. The officer was swept into the air and down along the corridor a few meters, before landing just in front of a group of people who had gethered to watch what was going on. Krokh nodded his head =Krokh DuhnDe= I reckon that's a sixer... He then twisted his sword around, so the tip of it faced almost backwards, before plunging the blade into the final officer standing right behind him. He then pulled the sword free and replaced it on his back as the officer crumpled to the ground =Krokh DuhnDe= And that I call a real slicer... So, shall we take the elevator down?

“Ha! While they’re still operational, sure, why not.” Krae answered. He ran down the hall to catch up, and then leapt on top of the bench that was keeping some of the police occupied. “You lads should probably stay put now, if you know what’s good for you.” he taunted while waving his lightsaber at them. He then disengaged the weapon, back flipped off the bench, and stepped into the elevator. “All aboard! Next stop, the hangers.”

Krokh smirked as Krae taunted the downed officers before following along the hallway and getting into the elevator just in time as the doors closed. The lift then descended down through the Citadel before stopping at the Hangar Bay level, allowing Krokh to lead Krae from the lift and over to his customized Horizon-class star yacht known as The Tinnie, it's name printed in a font known as Lucida Handwriting. Krokh briefly pointed towards one of the guest cabins if Krae so choose to take one, whilst continuing on his own way to the cockpit, taking his seat in the pilot's position as the slave circuits powered up The Tinnie's systems. He retracted the loading ramp and activated the repulsors, causing the yacht to lift off into the air as the landing gear were retracted. Power was then slowly applied to the main engines, pushing The Tinnie free of the hangar bay, before further power was applied, rocketing the yacht up through the planet's atmosphere and into orbit, headed for Krokh's main ship that awaited them up there

It had been a long time. Kaine took in all the changes to the Dark Citadel since last he had visited. The place seemed prosperous enough, the markets were busy, thousands of Kiffar and offworlders came and went, and uniformed police patrolled the streets, alleyways and corridors of the gargantuan building. He hadn't spotted any Guardians, but the place was huge, and his trip from the spaceport to the Sheyf's home wasn't a long one.
Kaine exited a turbolift on the requisite level, and made his way along a relatively deserted plaza to the home of the spiritual and political leader of the Kiffar people. A pair of uniformed guards stopped him at the entrance.
Official business only, Mandalorian. He held out a hand, palm up in the universal gesture to halt. His partner couldn't help his hand sliding to rest on the holstered blaster at his hip.
I'm here to see the Sheyf. Officially. Kaine held his arms up, open handed. No hostile intentions, gentlemen.
I'm sorry sir. You're not on the approved list. It's time for you to leave.
Kaine sighed inwardly. These two weren't going to be obliging. He let his hands drop to the holsters of his pistols. Not yet. Do you two want a Mandalorian cultural display?
A series of thumps behind him was Kaine's only advance warning, before a series of snap-hisses announced the activation of several lightsabers in close proximity, including a glowing green blade that extended across Kaine's left shoulder, at neck height. A gravelly voice behind him spoke in a clear, calm tone.
I've seen them before. Hands away from the guns, Mando.
Kaine let his hands rise, and he slowly turned to face his confronter.
Before him stood five robed Kiffar of various shapes and sizes, two males, three females, all with facial tattoos, implacable expressions, and lit lightsabers. Their green, purple, and blue blades contrasted against their white robes. These, no doubt, were the Kiffar Guardians. Guardians of peace and justice on Kiffu.
The sergeant asked you to leave. Unless you want to do it in pieces, now would be the time to go.
I appreciate the warm welcome, but you can put away your jetii'kade. I'm here to talk to your boss. This drew a snort of derision from the lead Guardian.
And just why would he want to see you, buckethead?
Kaine was seriously reconsidering his decision not to employ violence here when an ancient, almost whispery voice echoed out of the entrance behind him.
Because if not for him, none of you would be breathing, Master Vel. A shuffling sound and a recurrent tapping noise came from the darkened entrance, until it revealed itself to belong to a hunched, elderly man, moving forward slowly, leaning heavily on an ornate cane and staring with filmy but intense eyes at the armoured Mandalorian.
Kaine. Surprised to see the old man was still alive after so long, he'd been old when Kaine had first come to Kiffu, Kaine recovered himself, reached up to remove his buy'ce, then knelt before the old man, which brought them face to face.
Honoured Sheyf. Su'cuy! The old man laughed out loud, and a wide smile came to his weathered features. At this, the lightsabers sizzled out, and the policemen relaxed.
No, not yet, my son. Please, come in, and tell me what brings you to Kiffu. Kaine stood, and, clipping his buy'ce to his belt, followed the old man into his home.
Once ensconced inside, and having made the old man comfortable, Kaine sat down opposite the Sheyf's chair, and told him all the long history that had taken him around the galaxy, to the leadership of Mandalore, and finally to the hellhole of Belsavis. There were large gaps in the story of course, but the telling still took hours. Kaine had to stop several times to bring the old man water, and to adjust the heating of the chamber to keep the Sheyf comfortable. Once he was done, the old man brought out a pipe, and filled it full. Kaine lit it with a microburst from his gauntlet's flamethrower, and they shared the bowl in silence for several minutes before either of them spoke. The first to do so was the old man.
You will have whatever assistance we can provide. Ours is a debt that can never be repaid.
Kaine nodded his acceptance. You owe me no debt, honoured Sheyf. I only gave you back what was yours. Give me your five best, and your friendship. That is all i require.
Done, then. They shook on it, then sat back, enjoyed their smoke, and laughed at each others stories until late into the night.

The YX-1980 Space Transport, code named The Lion's Pride, descended down through the atmosphere of Kiffu. It had been seventeen years since he had last set foot upon Kiffu. He was only eight years old at the time, when his mother - Abigail Vos - had taken him with her, leaving his father and sister behind. Lucian didn't remember much about his father and sister, except for the stories his mother had told him, and the photo of Selena that he had of them as children. It was the one thing his mother had allowed him to keep from Kiffu, since she had gotten rid of any photo that his father had been in. He could tell that memories of the man pained her when she looked upon his image. But to her credit, she never spoke ill of the man to him.
He never really understood why though. She had every reason to hate the man. Yes, she had left him, but from what he had learned about his father from the archives, the man had followed a dark path. Just how far gone the man was, Lucian was unsure. But from the call he had had with the man only days ago, he seemed relatively fine. Not that it made this any easier.
Fact of the matter was, as far as the Jedi were concerned, his father was a dangerous enemy. His mother had never told the Jedi where the man was, but she had left Lucian a way to contact his father if ever he needed him. He had almost taken the number and given it to the Jedi Council, so they could track him down. However, something had stopped him from doing so. It wasn't because he owed his Father any sort of loyalty. No. He had feared for what had become of his sweet sister. If she was still with their Father, then the Jedi would likely have killed her too. That was the kind of blood he did not want on his hands.
Besides, his task would have been far more difficult with his Father dead. Although, whether he would been in this situation know if the man no longer drew breath, was still not certain. He rubbed his thumb over the photo of him and Selena, before pocketing the image in his breast pocket. The Lion's Pride extended its landing gear as he set it down in one of the hangar bays. He quickly went about powering down the Transport, before descending the landing ramp. He drew his trench-coat with the Vos family crest upon the shoudler about him, covering Dawn as she rested upon his hip. Whilst he might be here on peaceful business, he was not about to come unprotected. But at the same time, he did not want to draw unwelcome attention to himself. So his crossguard lightsaber hilt would remain hidden for now, but still well within reach. His gaze then drifted around the hangar then, looking to see if his father would meet him in person, or would send someone else instead

Selena slipped her hood over her head as she left the bar, it was only a short walk to the hanger but on this occasion she felt it took so much longer. Her mind was a whirlwind of emotions, she was excited, anxious, apprehensive and curious, it was quite the heady mixture. Her Father remained in the bar whilst having given Selena strict instructions for not only her greeting her brother, but also down to the conversation as they journeyed back to the back to introduce them. He had planned every aspect of the meeting and he had sought to firmly ensure that she did not deviate from his plan, such was the controlling and manipulative nemodian he was . She hated him with a passion and he knew it, yet he was so much stronger than she was and she was trapped, his death would be the only thing that ever freed her and he was working hard to ensure that his death did not come soon.
Selena had only good memories of her mother and brother, she remembered her mother being the most beautiful woman she had ever seen, she could still remember how she smelt as her mother scooped up for the warmest of embraces she had ever felt. Her memories conflicted greatly with the stories told to her by her father and had he not lied to her on more occasions then she could count over the years, then it is a real possibility she would have believed him and hated her mother, but she didn't. She still loved her. There had been many a night when Selena had laid in bed wondering how her life would have been had her mother taken her with her, she would dream of those moments as her father would enter her room and climb into her bed. Her mind would take her away until she was with her Mother and Lucian, she was still 8 years old in her dream and her Mother would be sat in her bed reading both her and Lucian a bedtime story. Selena cuddled in close on one side and Lucian on the other. She would remain in this dream until her Father was spent and left the room.
The hate she had for him increased with every touch. Every time he left the home leaving her behind, she would hope against hope that he would be killed, but always he returned. She was never to speak to him unless requested to do so, she would eat after he ate, she would clean for him, bathe him and forced to be thankful and appreciative for being fed, clothed and trained in return.
When clear of the sight of the bar, Selena slipped her hand into the right hand pocket of her coat and pulled from a wrinkled picture of two bright eyed gap toothed beautiful children, it was the one and only picture she had of Lucian. There smiling back at her was an 8 year old Selena and a 10 year old Lucian, Lucian with his arms wrapped around the shoulders of Selena whilst Selena had her arms wrapped around his torso as they smiled for the camera. Selena looked at the picture often, but never in front of Father. He did not know of its existence, he would have destroyed it as he had done with everything else that reminded him of both his wife and son. They were never to be spoken of.
AS she neared the door of the hanger she tensed, she did not know what to expect from him and this put her on edge. She did not trust the Jedi, but this was not just another Jedi, he was her brother. Her face was taught and unreadable, just as her father had instructed her, as she stepped into the hanger, her right hand lay at ease upon the hilt of her chrome plated saber hilt that sat upon her right hip.
As she took her first step into the allotted hanger and saw the man stood before her, she stopped and silently studied his face for a long moment. Though completely unrecognisable there was a familiarity about him. He was stunning, he had the look of their mother, thankfully nothing about him reminded her of their father. Still impassive and cold, she followed their fathers instructions precisely.
Lucian? Father has instructed I waste no time in taking you to him. Follow me.
There was so much she wanted to ask and discover, she did know him nor trust him, yet their father had lied about so much so often, she just wanted to know the truth. One day she hoped she would have the freedom to ask.

As the door leading into the hangar bay opened, he turned his gaze towards his welcoming party. He had known that his father would be too cowardly to greet him in person. So it was no surprise when his gaze fell upon this woman as she strode towards him. She was clad in a long black, shoulder-less, dress with a black bodice over the top, with long flowing silver hair. She was an absolute vision to look upon. In that brief moment, he would have put his credits on her being a conquest of his father's, or perhaps a trap sent to tempt him. Truth be told, if she was a trap, then his father had certainly chosen someone perfect to tempt him with. She was stunning to look upon, and no doubt she was quite talented elsewhere too.
But then, he really studied her face and reached forth with the force mere moments before she said his name. And suddenly it clicked with him. His jaw just about dropped in that moment as he realized who stood before him. She was not just any woman. Seventeen years had had quite the affect upon her. She had certainly grown up to be quite beautiful. So much so, he had barely recognized her at first glance. Perhaps because the expression she wore, was not her own. Or perhaps that was what he hoped. That his sweet little sister was still somewhere hidden behind that cold gaze.
He stood there for a moment after she had told him to follow her. He could feel his heart rate increase as he gazed upon her. A part of him was sad to know that she was still with their father. After all, neither of them had been given any choice about who they went with. Their parents had made that decision for them. However, he had hoped she might have managed to escape his grasp. However, he was glad to see that she was still alive. Although, just how well she was, was a different matter entirely. At the very least, she was better than if the Jedi had found their father and her. And it was then, that he felt guilty. Because he knew that he had almost turned their Father's location over more than once. Especially after what had happened, which caused him to be here now.
He quickly strode across to her, his hand shooting out to grab hole of hers, certain she would start to turn and walk away as he seemed to make to follow her. But as his hand met hers, his fingers closing around it as he forced her to stop, he met her gaze "Selena! Is it really you? Please... There's... There's something I need to tell you before we go and see our Father... and I'd rather you hear it first..." His grip loosened then, letting her hand slip through his own as he held her gaze. Even if she was tainted by their Father, she was still his sister, and he had always cared about and looked after her

Outwardly she appeared cold and detached, internally it was a very story, she was desperate to get to know him, she did not want to introduce him to their father as she was desperate to protect him from all he would do to him. At the same time she wanted to keep him to herself and discover the man he had become whilst learning more of their mother. The memories she had of her were fractured, despite their philosophy's being polar opposites she yearned for what had been taken from her. Still, her fear of their father suppressed her own desires allowing her cold expression to remain unbroken. As he took hold of her hand she looked down at his grasp with a look of indifference and then raised her gaze to meet his.
Yes, it is me. Anything you say to me you can say in front of Father. He was very clear in his instructions for me to bring you to him without any talk. He is not a man to be crossed Lucian, do not do nor say anything that may provoke him.
Her warning to him had slipped from her mouth before she had a chance to stop it. For her own sake she hoped that her father would not come to learn of it for her punishment would be severe. She had known that her presence at their reunion would be a mistake and, for her own well-being, she had wished not to attend, but this was all part of her fathers mind games. It was just another way for him to punish Selena for going against him as she had 4 years ago.
She wanted to hear what he had to say, but the risks outweighed her wants. She shook her head and turned away from him and began to walk out of the hanger leaving him watching her back and hearing her cold voice calling out to him.
Father will be growing impatient. Follow me. He has secured us a room at a public house so we can have some privacy.

It was like a splash of ice cold water to the face as she spoke. He could tell that she was afraid of their Father, of what he would do to her, and what he would do to him. As she turned and started to walk away again, he grabbed her wrist with both his hands this time, and stopped her again. He could not forgive himself if he didn't tell her what had happened now. He wouldn't let their Father steal something else away from her. The fact she was scared of the man, only made his resolve stronger. As it was, he had no desire to see the man. And seeing how Selena acted, just made him want to take her away from it all in that moment "No, you need to hear this first. I'm here because... because our mother is dead Selena... I..." He dropped his gaze then, knowing that he had said enough. For the time being anyway. He knew it was not a good idea to keep the man waiting by standing here and talking with her. He let go of her wrist then and fell in behind her as he looked at her back "I'll follow you now... Lead the way. I shall be sure to keep your advice in mind..." To be honest, he had always planned to choose his words with their Father carefully. After all, he was still not sure their Father was not involved in what had happened. But he was the only man he could turn to, since the Jedi had refused to get involved unless Lucian had given up his Father's location or contact information. And seeing his sister now, he had been glad he had stayed trued to his Mother's wishes. Even her decision had not sat right with the Jedi, and now they forced him to pay the price for it

She felt his grip upon her once more and felt the anger rising inside her for the first time since their meeting, her body tensed and outwardly she appeared rigid, whilst her expression warns him of doing such a thing again. Just about to strike him with an open handed slap she suddenly freezes as his words strike her like a spear to her heart. She remained frozen for a moment longer.
It was a confusing moment for Selena, her reaction to the news of her mothers death left her unable to understand her reaction. She had known their mother and had only fractured memories of her so why did she feel such pain upon hearing of her death? This was something she could not understand. She wanted to scream and breakdown and cry for the mother she had lost, yet at the same time she felt anger and confusion. Anger at the one who had stolen the chance of reuniting with her, but also confusion over why she felt anything at all.
A moment later she continued to walk once more to place within which their father sat waiting, she walked along in silence whilst her mind swam in turmoil and her emotions switched repeatedly from anger, hate and grief, yet not once did she shed a tear, she kept that pain hidden within her through of their father seeing it.
Selena rounded the last corner on their way to the public house, it was now only three doors from where they stood when she turned abruptly toward Lucian and placed her hand on his chest to bring him to a stop in front of her.
Tell me now and quickly. How did she die?
Already in Selena's mind she was suspecting her father of least being involved in her death. For as long as she could remember he would sink into a rage and fantasise of ways to bring about her death, he wanted to bring Lucian back with them and train him in the ways of the dark side of the force, but more so he had wanted her mother to see the transition before her death. His anger had increased over the years, he hated how she had not followed him, hated how she had dared to stand up to him and more so how she had dared to leave him and take one of his children away from him.
She wanted to know all of the details before she stood before her father, she wanted to know the truth and she knew she would not get it from her father.

He could see she had been about to hit him, with the news he brought serving to stop her. It was a cruel blow he had dealt her, so sharply telling her of their Mother's demise, but he had not wanted to risk her trying to pull away once more. He then followed her in silence as she had taken off again. He was impressed with how strong she was in the face of such news. Though, perhaps it was not strength, so much as an ability to contain herself. To choose not to feel for someone she had little memory of. He was quite certain she was not going to pursue the matter any further before they met their father. But he was proven wrong a few moments later when she turned on him.
He met her gaze in that moment, as she asked for details of their Mother's death. Their was a pained look deep within his eyes as he stared at her, his hand drifting up to rest upon hers. In that moment, he needed to draw from her strength. He knew he had to get this done quickly, especially based upon the urgency within her voice "I wish I could say it was clear cut, that she'd been killed on a mission. But that would be a lie. We'd travelled to Naboo, just the two of us, on a holiday. We were down in the lake country, minding our own business... Just, enjoying a moment of quiet together..." He took a deep breath in then, fighting to keep it together. He knew he had to push on, and give her the answers she sought "She was stood barely farther from me than you are now... I heard the bullet fire seconds before it hit her in the head... I watched the light go out from her eyes... As she passed from this world..." His gaze dropped then, as he was no longer able to look her in the eyes. He fought back hard against the tears, knowing like his Sister, that he could not let their Father see he had been crying "The second bullet passed through the side of my abdomen... I could do nothing, but lay there looking at the coldness... It was sheer chance that I was found not long after... I begged the Jedi Council to investigate it, knowing that it was no accident what had happened. But so long as I would not give up our Father, they refused to do anything... And I couldn't risk losing you... That's why I'm here Selena. To find out just what he knows, and try determine if he was behind it..." His grip tightened on her hand briefly then, before he let it go, not wanting to risk angering her again. He met her gaze once more, holding it for a moment "I will find those responsible, and see justice brought upon them..."

She stood before him as if made of iron, the only movement from her entire body was the shallow rise and fall of her chest and her golden hair flowing gently in the breeze. Her gaze did not fall from his for even a fraction of a second. The more he revealed the more clear a slight change within her expression became. It was all hidden within her eyes, they began to thaw and give way to the pain hidden within her, yet still no tears came. She had those locked inside her, it was like a damn bursting at the seams and the pressure ever increasing. The tears would come but only when she felt it safe.
It seemed Lucian believed as she did, though he dressed it up in a way she was not. Selena was now more than ever that their father knew what had happened but she believed it now more than ever, she had been with him long enough to know indeed what he was capable of. There was one thing that Selena was grateful for in that one moment and that was that Lucian had survived. To have lost them both would have destroyed her.
She looked down at her hand and realised for the first time since he had taken it that he was still holding it and what's more, she had not fought against it. It seemed that not only was he not only was he borrowing her strength, but she was drawing upon his. She was now feeling vulnerable and exposed, she was feeling emotions she did not welcome, she was revealing those emotions to another and what's more is she was allowing herself to share it all with another and seek comfort in them. Quickly she drew back her hand and within the blink of an eye she had closed herself once more. She turned on her heel and marched off rapidly in the direction of the public house of within which their father was waiting. Once she had arrived at the door, she pulled it back and stepped it holding it open for Lucian to follow. She looked across the crowded room and gave the barman a nod to let him know that she had arrived with their guest and that no one was to enter the room until they had left. She pushed herself through the crowd of patrons and made her way t the back of the room toward a large door, once there, she swung it open and stepped inside while awaiting Lucian to enter behind her. and looked across the small room to where their father was sat in a high backed chair facing the door.
She dropped her head and looked to the floor as she greeted him.
Father.
Tall and handsome but with the most arrogant smile upon his face he spoke in a slow and clipped tone.
Well, girl? Did he arrive?

He saw the change within her, as he recounted the tale to her. And something within him had hope, hope that his sister was still somewhere deep within. That there was someone still left within this galaxy that he loved. But just like that, she removed her hand and was seemingly lost to him once more. Her cold exterior taking over once more. He could understand why though. Their Father had a reputation, and he only really knew what little of it was within the archives. Selena had lived it first hand for all these years. So he decided it was best to take a leaf from her back, and did his best to compose himself, before swiftly following after her.
He moved quickly to get through the doors as she held them open for him. He was constantly vigilant of his surroundings, paying attention to the nod Selena gave the barman. It was no surprise that his Father held enough sway to set up such shady arrangements. He followed close behind Selena, pushing his way through the crowd as well. The moment he entered the room, he felt the heavy cloud of darkside energy emanating from his Father, as the man sat in what was essentially a throne. It didn't surprise him that the man thought himself so high. And even as he laid eyes upon the man, whom he had very little memory of, he knew without a doubt that this was his father. The man had barely changed in seventeen years. He had perhaps turned darker, but that was the only change. He was certain his Father would take some perverse pleasure from this all, as Lucian gave a bow of his head to their Father "I'm here Father... It has been a while... You don't look like you've aged a day since then..."

The way with which he spoke to her was not unusual so Selena did not bat an eyelid. It was not often he ever referred to her by name. Selena tensed only when Lucian entered the room, for she did not know how her father was going to treat him, nor did she have any idea of how Lucian would react to the manner of which he spoke to him.
As Lucian spoke to him Selena lifted her head a little and watched her father carefully. She was unsure how he would react with Lucian to him in such a familiar way. She saw the face of her father change as he studied Lucian carefully, he did not hide the fact that he was analysing Lucian very carefully, that was not his way such was his arrogance. After several minutes of silence, one of her fathers favourite games, he rest his right elbow upon the arm of the chair and settled his chin upon the hand.
You have grown boy, you have the look of your mother I see, much like your sister there. Well, do not stand on ceremony, sit!
He pointed to a chair at the end of the table nearest both Lucian and Selena and gestured for Lucian to sit, Selena knew better than to take it as an invitation for herself, she was never allowed to sit at the same table as her father, it was not a woman's place, he wanted his women subservient. So near the door at the back of the room she stood, invisible, just as he liked it.
Tell me boy, what do you want? You are not here out of concern for my health or for some father and son bonding. Your mother is dead I take it? She would never have let you come otherwise. Come boy, I am a busy man with things to do, spit it out!
Their father looked upon him with stern eyes that held a little twinkle in the corner, as the corners of his mouth lifted in a lopsided, arrogant and taunting smile. He was goading Lucian and Selena knew it, she just hoped that Lucian did not fall for it as that was exactly what their father wanted. To try and give Lucian time to think Selena stepped toward the tray with a bottle of his favourite Correllian Whiskey and two glasses. Just as she was to reach for it, there was a bang from the table as her father slammed his hand against it to get her attention. As she looked at him she saw the glare that she feared and stepped back immediately with her head hanging down.
Boy, pour the drinks!

Indeed, he had been fortunate enough to inherit his mothers looks, as opposed to his Father's. To share blood with the man was bad enough. In fact, being in his presence at this moment was sickening. Such was his aura tainted by the darkside. But he clenched his teeth and bore it, taking the seat offered to him. He briefly looked to Selena, but not long enough for the man to notice. It was quite clear where the man placed Selena's importance. To say it was quite low, was putting it mildly.
He met his Father's gaze, as the man question why he was here. Indeed, he was certainly not here out of concern for the man's health, least it be to see just how long he had left. And he most certainly had no common ground upon which to bond with the man. The man was right on all but one account though. It was technically his Mother's idea for him to come here. But then, he was sure that his Father had a very twisted view of the woman that had left Kiffu all those years ago.
His arrogance was astounding. And the longer he was forced to sit here and be forcefully bathed in the man's corruption, the quicker he knew he would find himself doing the one thing he should not. His eyes quickly shot to the table, as his Father's fist slammed upon it, before telling him to serve the drinks. As he shifted his hands to the arms of his seat, he clenched his fists, and forced a smile "Of course Father..." It was clear the words were quite strained, and undoubtedly were playing into the man's hands. However, he would bear it, for the time being. He had need of his Father and the knowledge that he had. He rose from the seat and walked over to where the tray was sitting. From the corner of his eye, he met his Sister's gaze briefly. He should have just taken her hand, and forced her to leave with him. But then, they would still be at square one, with no knowledge of who killed their Mother, and their Father hunting for his run away Daughter. No, he would figure something out. He then picked up the tray and carried it back over to the table, placing it down close to where their Father sat. He set out the two glasses and began to pour "As you so quickly deduced, my Mother is dead. And... I have come to ask for your help. The Jedi have refused to lend their aide. So, I must investigate this alone. I had hoped, that perhaps you could help. After all, you would have an interest in this matter. And you certainly have the connections..." He filled the glasses to half way, before passing one to his Father first. He knew the man would have taken insult otherwise, and since he wanted something, it was best to keep him in a good mood. For as long as possible anyway. He picked up his own glass after that and made his way back down to his seat "To you..." He then lifted his glass in the air and tipped it towards his Father. If ever he would have to pick out a moment in his life that he despised more than any, toasting his Father would be that moment

The storm inside Selena's mind was growing with every breath her father took. She was surprised by how angry she was becoming by simply watching her father treat Lucian in such a way, she was numb to it herself but she was strangely feeling protective over her brother. Now her anger was growing all the more when she saw that all too familiar smile appear on his face as Lucian did as was beckoned of him, but still she did not lift her head and look, nor did she interfere. She, like Lucian was eager to here what their father had to say and nothing could have prepared her for what she was about to hear.
Their father gave a shallow nod of the head and took a sip of his whiskey before settling the glass down upon the table. He leant back into his chair and crossed his hands whilst staring at Lucian for a moment before speaking.
I have absolutely no interest in the matter and I fail to see why you would think otherwise. I knew of the death of your mother before you stepped in here, before you contacted me, owing to my connections. I can tell you now, boy, I felt nothing and feel nothing still. The moment your mother left me, she was dead. She took my one male heir, left and made him into the pathetic creature I see before me now. Look at you grovelling as you beg for my help, you became my lap dog in the hope of answers and my assistance, that is no man. You are weak and pathetic just as your mother was, at least she had the backbone to stand up and leave.
Through his entire tirade he failed to raise his voice once, that was their father, there was no need to raise his voice for his tone communicated everything perfectly, it was all their, the venom, the disgust and the hatred for them all, Selene, Lucian and their mother. At this moment Selene was closer than ever before to standing up to him but something still had her rooted to the spot. Their father looked upon them both as he took a sip of his whiskey
Leave now, boy. Go!

He took a sip of his whiskey before setting it down upon the table, still hopeful this suffering would be worth enduring if it got him some answers. But as the man began to speak, he knew that such hope was in vain. His grip tightened upon the glass as it sat upon the table. Meanwhile, his gaze hardened against his Father. No. Not his Father. The thing that had replaced his Father. After all, for all that he had known of the man, one thing was certain: He had loved their Mother.
This thing, however, did not. The man showed no regard for the death of Abigail. In fact, he seemed to take a perverse pleasure in having made his Lucian all this way. Only to deny him the answers he sought. But even as he felt his anger rising, he knew he could not let it do so. For Anger led to hate, hate led to suffering, and suffering led to the dark side. It was a mere paraphrase of an old Jedi saying, but it was a good mantra that enabled him to calm himself. It helped him keep any errant emotions in check, and why he was able to feel and yet not fall. After all, it would make him no better than the man before him, if he were to let such things get to him.
He was better than that. But even so, his Father's words still struck home, as his head fell forward when the man told him to leave. He sat there for a moment, in silence, as thoughts raced through his head. He had come all this way, only to have this man deny him. To have his chance taken from him "No... NO! I will not leave!" He then tossed the glass off of the table, which shattered upon impact with the ground and spilled it's contents upon the floor. His head rose then, as he levelled his gaze upon their Father "I have had too much taken from me! I will not be denied this! Not by you! I am not your heir! The man my mother left, he had a male and female heir! You, however, do not! You have nothing! You feel, nothing! Not even for the woman that for years, protected you! You are the reason that the Jedi will not get involved. Because neither my mother, nor I, would give up your location. I see now though, that my only concern, was for Selena. She is the only reason you still draw breath! You have taken everything else that I love, and destroyed it! But not her!" He rose from his seat then, kicking it backwards. He then reached into his jacket and withdrew Dawn, the golden crossguard blades activating a few moments later. Dozens of thoughts rushed through his mind in that moment, focused upon what he had said, but more importantly, what he had not said "I naively thought that perhaps, just perhaps, there was still something worth saving within you. Something that might be worth making the effort to come out this way. But I was so very mistaken. I will stand up to you, but I will not leave. Not without the answers I seek, nor without Selena by my side. I will not leave her in the care of this pale shadow of what you once were! My mother had a great deal of strength and compassion to leave you with just one of us, but I will leave you with neither of us! So tell me! Who was behind her murder?!"

Selena remained rooted to the spot unflinching as the Lucian yelled at their father yet inside her mind was a raging storm of emotion, she was furious at her father for his innuendo had suggested her worst suspicions and to make it worse, he was gloating. Even as Lucian lost his temper , shouting and smashing his glass he sat there smug with 'that' smile upon his face. He had won, he had pushed Lucian and got the response he had wanted.
As she heard Lucian mention her name her head snapped in his direction, she stared at him silently until she felt the fiery glare of her father upon her, without him having to say a thing she dropped her gaze back to the floor and said nothing, though it took all of her strength not step forward toward him and berate him as Lucian was.
Still as Lucian drew his saber, their father remained silent with the same arrogant smile upon his face, it was only when Lucian threatened to take Selena with him did he rise from his seat, as was typical of him, his rise was slow and controlled as were the words that followed.
Selena is mine and she will be remaining here, with me.
Their fathers gaze fell upon Selena then.
Selena, deal with this boy and insure he does not leave here alive. I have had enough of his demands.
Selena's head snapped up in the direction of her father with a look of shock upon her face, it was as if she had been frozen, to make matters worse her fathers gaze was still upon her as if he were reading her mind.
Selena, deal with him.
For several minutes she stood there in turmoil, she was fearing her father yet, he was demanding she kill her brother whilst being responsible for the death of their mother, it was all too much to process. Her hands lifted to her the back of her head as her fingers entwined in her hair and she shook her head.
Breaking her turmoil came the voice she feared above all others. It was not necessarily loud but was dark, curt and full of unsaid warning.
Selena!
She took her saber from her right hip and stepped toward Lucian but as she did so, she gave her father a look he would never have seen from her before, it was dark and full of defiance. As she moved his voice took a deeper and darker tone.
Selena! Think of what you are doing very carefully girl!
Facing her father she stood beside Lucian and activated her blade.
My brother asked you a question, father, I suggest you answer it.
For the first time in her life Selena saw a look of uncertainty in her fathers expression, he looked shocked but also scared. He had lost control and she knew it and his voice shook as he called to her once more.
Selena, come here. You do not want to do this!
Finally she was feeling a freedom she had only ever dreamt of and her expression mirrored that her father had displayed previously. She had a crooked smile and she felt strong.
No father. Answer his question. You forget she was also my mother and you kept her from me, you kept me from knowing her and my brother. I can let go of all you have done to me, but that I can never forgive. You had her killed, didn't you? Do not deny it for I remember all those drunken fits of anger where you threatened to have them both killed.
For a moment their father stood there looking defeated before he tried to bring himself back but it was such a feeble attempt he still looked shaken.
I shall not deny it, I have wanted her dead for a long time, I wanted both her and the boy dead, I have never hidden that. I had knowledge of when and where it was going to happen and I regret nothing,, this is bigger than you can begin to imagine. I shall give you no more detail other than that.
