Whilst his words were forceful, Lucian was still every bit in control of himself. His outburst was meant to serve as a means of grabbing his Father's attention, which it almost had not done. At least until he had mentioned taking Selena with him. It was then, that the man had risen from his seat and declared that Selena would be staying. He gave his Father a challenging look then, daring the man to try and keep his word. But even then, the man tried to make Selena fight his battle for him. It was quite depressing, really, to think that the man would stoop so low as to try turn sibling against sibling. But where their Father had been confident in Selena's obedience, Lucian remained facing their Father.
Not once did he doubt his sister. He knew that to turn and look at her, would have been to sign his death sentence. It would have been a sign of doubt from him, that he believed her capable of doing such a thing. Instead, he placed his trust in her. His back still to her as he face their Father. Had she chosen to, she could have walked up right behind him and stabbed him in the back. He would have done nothing to stop her. Such was his willingness to trust her, his own sister. Even if they had not seen one another in seventeen years.
He had to admit to himself though, that a sense of relief washed through him when at last she stood at his side. Her lightsaber drawn and activated in moments. He could see the sudden change in their father, as the man realized that his control and sway over Selena had slipped. He couldn't help but feel that perhaps her change of heart had something to do with his appearance and the news of the death of their mother. Not that he had any qualms about it. For it meant that she was on his side.
He kept his gaze on their Father the entire time, as he went from confident to shaken. Selena had been the only thing the man had left, and perhaps she was the only thing left that he had control over. It was clear he had lost control of himself years ago. But Selena, he had raised and done the force only knew what to since she was a young girl. Lucian turned to his side, his torso facing Selena, as he levelled the blade of his saber at their Father as he seemed unwilling to divulge everything to them. As he stood there, he slipped his hand into Selena's, before clasping it tightly, drawing strength from her once more "Come now, if you really want me dead, why don't you just tell me who is behind it. Surely one of them will be strong enough to finish the job? and I am sure my imagination can handle it, after all, I used to think you capable of being a decent person..."

Their fathers gaze shifted from Lucian to Selena, though he remained silent, his look in his eyes spoke volumes. He was shocked and broken yet they were pleading with Selena, willing her to come back to him but it was all in vain. She had made her choice and she felt liberated for the first time in many many years. As gazed back she felt nothing for him, not the slightest of sympathy for he had broken her many years ago, the very first time he had forced her to fill the role her mother had left vacant she had died inside. What she feel was power, she delighted in seeing her father so weak and she did not hide that from him. She smiled as he gazed at her letting him know that he had lost. As Lucian slipped his hand in his she took a deep breath and momentarily looked down at their hands entwined and tightened her grasp. As she looked back at her father she saw the darkness in his eyes increase, she saw the jealousy there clawing its way out as his entire body tensed and she knew what he was thinking. She was his possession and he did not share. Never had she been allowed to touch, look nor talk to another male, that is one of the reasons why her gaze had to remain on the floor at all times. The cruel side of her began to surface for she wanted to make him suffer more than he was already, she wanted to play with him, torture him as he had done to her.
Acting upon impulse and rage she released her grip of Lucian's hand and pulled it free, then looking directly at her father she slipped her hand around his waist and down to his buttocks before grasping his left buttock firmly in her hand, she pushed her torso up against Lucian's tightly before grasping his neck with her left hand and and began to kiss his neck. Her gaze remained on their father the entire time, even as she had moaned aloud. It was a moan of pleasure, the one sound she had always denied her father much to his fury. After having her fun and watching his anger increase tenfold she stopped, took a step back and entwined her hand in Lucian's once more.
He will never tell us Lucian. It is the one way he can still hold some power over us.
It seemed their father had seen and heard enough and could contain his fury no longer, for he threw the table between out of the way and stepped forward whilst igniting the red blade of his saber. His voice rose to a level of which Selena had never heard before as he bellowed...
LET GO OF HIM NOW SELENA! NOW!
With a level of control that astounded her, she simply shook her head and grasped Lucian's hand more tightly.
I will not, I shall be leaving with Lucian today and there is not a thing you can do to stop me. You do not own me, nor do you control me any longer, father. You have lost!

When he had slipped his hand into hers, it had been a strange desire to seek comfort in her. He felt her breath in as he did it, something with him taking a small joy in such a reaction. But also from the reaction it drew from their Father. Perhaps jealousy was one way to make him talk. However, it was then, that he felt a change within his sister. Something within him at that moment told him that his action was a very small move, that she was about to top. He kept his gaze fixed firmly on their Father, as Selena first pulled her hand from his, before he felt it wrap around his waist and grasp his left buttock firmly. His own hand instinctively wrapped around her waist in return, grabbing a hold of her return as she pressed in close.
It was a strange feeling he felt in that moment, to have her so close as they held each other in such a manner. He would be lying if he said he did not enjoy this, especially since he had felt attracted to her back in the hangar. His grip tightened upon her right buttock then, as her left hand and she kissed his neck. He felt a dark look of lust cross his eyes then, as she kissed his neck. He let out a low groan in time with her moan, as he cupped her butt slightly, lifting her up. As she pulled back, he withdraw his arm from her waist and grasped her hand tightly. His fingers intertwining with her own, as he felt a certain stiffness still lingering from their close contact moments before "Let him believe he has power over us. But we are together now..." What exactly that together entailed, he left unsaid. Or it was more that he was cut off, as their Father's anger climaxed, and the table between them went flying. He shifted forward slightly, bringing his lightsber in a cross guard between the siblings and their Father. There was something satisfying about the way she gripped his hand tighter. As he stared their Father down, certain that the man would not let them leave so easily. He had seen such a look in the eyes of many a darksider before. It was always there just before they entered a fight. And even though he knew it was too late, a part of him knew he had to at least try and stop his Father from going through with this "She has made her choice, she is free to touch who ever she likes. You have lost, do not make this any worse. I have no desire to fight you, but if you insist upon it, then so be it. We will defend ourselves, and surely even you can recognize that the odds are not in your favour..."

There had been a dark, raw and carnal pleasure in the reaction her actions had drawn from Lucian. She had felt them also as his hands had explored her. In that moment she did not think of them being siblings, it was easy to forget for she had grown up with him, she did not love him as a brother for the brother she loved was the one she remembered, before her now stood a grown man and one who women no doubt found him as attractive as she did. Their relationship as siblings was none existent. Since his arrival she had been trying to protect the boy from her memories and now she was fixated on causing their father pain.
Selena knew how this was all going to end, she knew their father would not let her leave any other way, he was going to fight them even if it meant dying to do so. Any fear she had felt of her father had gone, here and now with Lucian she felt strong and powerful and she felt safe. This was shown as he stepped forward between them and their father.
Lucian's words fell on deaf ears as Selena had known they would, their father stepped forward them with his blade held to his side, he was committing suicide, he was going to do the minimal amount to have them kill him.
Selena stepped before Lucian with her blade held at chest height and swung her blade across at his chest, the tip of it searing his pectoral muscles shallowly. She then bought her blade back and then thrust it toward his stomach impaling him.
She de activated the blade and let him fall to the floor on his knees as he clasped his stomach, she kicked his blade away and then grasped hold of their fathers chin and lifted it to her...
Last chance, tell me and I shall end this quickly. Who killed our mother?

Despite what ever he thought of the man, it still saddened him to see a chance at escape thrown away so lightly. The man seemed intent on death and destruction, now that he and Selena stood united. He felt a strange flutter then at such a thought. His mind lingering briefly upon that notion, as they stood hand in hand. But where he should have felt only a familial bond with her, he knew that was not so. He felt something more for the woman that he stood there with.
Their time together so far as adults had been brief. But even so, he had inadvertently spent years falling in love with her. Fondly remembering the young girl he had gotten to know over eight years. And now seeing the woman she had become. A woman he was certain had turned many a male's head, even as she had been forbidden from doing so in return.
His thoughts were back in the present however, as he prepared to fight their Father. But before he could do anything, Selena had let go of his hand and moved forward. Her speed caught both him and their Father by surprise. Within moments, she had struck the man across his chest. Lucian moved to stop her then, knowing what she was about to do next, but he was too late. Her saber had penetrated the man's abdomen. He stopped, his blade falling to the side as the man fell to his knees. Even as the man knelt there dying, he was still defiant to the end "I shall tell a traitorous little whore such as yourself nothing!" He knew that was not the answer that Selena was hoping for. Her saber was ignited once more in that instant. Even if he wanted their Father dead and to see justice served, this was not the right way. He reached out to stop her then "Selena, no!" Her blade swung then, and cut the man's head off in one quick motion. He rested his hand on her left upper arm then, as he stood behind her. He deactivated his saber and clipped it back upon his belt. As he looked down over her shoulder at their Father's body, he was torn about how he felt. On the one had, she had struck him down almost entirely in cold blood. On the other, however, he felt relief that the man was dead. Freed of his struggle in life. And now they were free, to be together. He then pulled on her arm then, forcing her to turn to face him, as he placed his hands upon her shoulders. He looked down at her for a moment, before pressing his lips against her forehead for a moment "You're free... We're both free... of him. But come, we mustn't linger..." He released his grip then and moved around her to the man's body, quickly searching the pockets and taking anything he found. They could examine it all later he thought to himself as he grabbed his sisters, no, as he grabbed Selena's hand then "Ready? We'll go back to my ship and be gone before anyone notices..."

As Lucian held her she stood there silently looking back at him, but she was not seeing him, she was looking through him in a daze. She was shocked at what she had done and was not fully comprehending it still. Her breathes were rapid and shallow, even as he kissed her forehead she moved almost robotically as his words rung in her ears. You're free..we're both free....
It did not feel real, she had always hoped for the time when it would happen but she had never believed it would. She thought she would be forever trapped with him, even in death. As he released her and set about the mans body she stood there looking down at the decapitated body of her father and stared at him as if in a trance. There were a flurry of emotions flitting through her, guilt, fear but mostly exhilaration. In that moment she began to feel the chains that had held her in place begin to fall to her feet, but it would not be until she was on the ship, leaving the planet and him behind would she truly feel free.
As he took her hand she entwined her fingers in his and held him tightly.
He is dead, Lucian, he is really dead, isn't he? I am glad he is dead. He cannot hurt us any more. I am ready, please, I want to go, lets just go.
She turned away from the body of her father then, and began to pull Lucian toward the door at a hurried pace, pulling him quickly toward the hanger that held his ship. With each step closer to the hanger another link from the chain that secured her to her father fell, never before had she felt such exhilaration and freedom. Of the belongings she was leaving behind, she wanted none of them, she wanted nothing that would remind her of the life she was leaving behind, she had the one thing with her that held any meaning and that was the photo of herself and her brother as children secured within the pocket of her jacket.

As her fingers entwined with his once more, he could feel their new connection growing. He offered only a smile of reassurance to her as she spoke, before giving her a quick kiss on her cheek. At first, he felt himself pulled along, before his feet finally started to move him faster as he kept pace with Selena. They rushed through the streets like two young teenagers, or perhaps star crossed lovers, escaping their parents overbearing presence. By the time anyone would notice the body, the pair would be well off Kiffu. Lucian kept running alongside Selena, a smile crossing his face as he glanced at her. He knew she needed him to be strong, to give her something to cling to. Yes, he did not approve of her action, but a part of that was that he did not want her to have to bear such a burden as what she did now.
He began to take the lead a little then, as he lead the way up into The Lion's Pride. He showed Selena to the copilots seat, before he seated himself in the captain's seat. He hurriedly raised the ramp and started the launch sequence, the engines of the YX-1980 bursting to life. As the repulsorlifts hauled the craft from the ground, a handful of soldiers came running into the hangar bay then. Lucian was certain they were all formerly in the employ of their deceased father, and perhaps now worked for their new enemies. Regardless, he paid them no mind as he brought The Lion's Pride around and throttled up the engines.
The Hangar Bay zoomed passed them as the craft sped out of the Dark Citadel. He then angled the nose of the craft up and continued to increase thrust as they moved up through the atmosphere and finally out to orbit. He was not about to have them stick around for long and let their pursuers catch up. He then hit a couple of controls, the nav computer inputting co-ordinates for Nar Shaddaa. The moment the hyperdrive was reading green, Lucian throttled the drive up...

It had been a long time. Amauri took in all the changes to the Dark Citadel since last she visited. Kiffu certainly seemed prosperous enough, the markets were busy, thousands of Kiffar and offworlders came and went, and uniformed police patrolled the streets, alleyways and corridors of the gargantuan building, even as they had the last time she had been home.
Amauri?
The young guardian jumped. Where had they come from? Two kiffar had appeared either side of her, practically from nowhere. She did her best to hide her surprise. Yes?
A pair of snap-hisses announced the activation of two lightsabers in close proximity.
It is an honour. The Sheyf asked us to expect you.
Amauri looked down at the two kneeling kiffar, offering her a salute with the ignited blades. She recovered herself and lifted a hand to acknowledge the gesture. In response, they rose and extinguished their sabers.
Follow us, please. We will escort you.
The two conveyed her through the Citadel to the Sheyf's home, not the one she'd grown up in, she saw, but his newer, more comfortable home. A humble man, it had been pushed on him by well meaning locals out of love.
Amauri. Surprised and delighted to see the old man again, Amauri walked over, reached up and kissed the old man.
The old man laughed out loud, and a wide smile came to his weathered features. He nodded to the two guardians, who departed, leaving them alone.
Please, come in child, and tell me what's kept you away so long.
The two went inside. She settled the old man into his chair and made tea for them both. Finally she filled his pipe for him and lit it, and then Amauri and her adopted father talked long into the night.

The weather atop the Dark Citadel was abominable. Rain lashed the massive structure as howling winds threatened to tear the small beings atop it fromt the ground and hurl them into oblivion. Lightning was surprisingly less of a problem than one might think here on this storm wracked world, as huge lightning rods and conductors spared those atop the Citadel being fried where they stood. It was a rather spectacular light show, but those braving the storm had little time to admire it.
Kiffar in long hooded rain coats made the three new planetary defence weapons secure, and began to bring them online. The Dark Citadel also boasted quite powerful shields, now with these new guns, it also had the ability to strike at its foes directly. Amauri Vos, hooded rain coat over her robes, supervised the installation on behalf of the Sheyf. As the senior Guardian on duty, she was also responsible for the Citadel's defence. Her keen eye surveyed the struggling Kiffar, watching for danger. Within a few hours, they were able to get in out of the storm, and Kiffu was the better for their service. Amauri returned to the Sheyf, and his ever present pipe.

The small 'family' had found a room in what was pretty much the only population center on the planet. The 'city' was a single huge archeology. As the 'family' had limited funds to work with, the room they were renting wasn't exactly high class. In fact, it was buried fairly deep in the city, surrounded by several warrens of low paid workers. Of course that suited Resi just fine, as it gave him a ready crop of weapons to choose from.
They waited a few days to get settled in before they made any moves. They had to move carefully, especially at this early of a stage. Between visiting very touristy locations & doing some part time work, the family would visit various bars & taverns. Fairly soon, they had a short list of figures that wouldn't be missed if they suddenly vanished for a few days. Most cities had at least a few, & the larger the city, the more of them were lurking at the bottom. The family picked the first one & started spending the evening drinking with him. At first it was just drinking beside him, but after a few days there was enough light joking for people not to notice any more.
The first move was subtle. Just the slightest pressure with his mind, after a long day of drinking. Soon the man was passed out on the bar. A few light jokes to the barkeep & the family carried him out, as friends sometimes have to do. Another slight pressure & the entire event would quickly fade into unremarkable memory within moments. It would not be a pleasant few hours for the unfortunate man. It never took Resi too long to completely rewrite someone, usually just a few hours. Of course, there was always the chance it would fail, but he could see that happening so it was fairly easy to dispose of failures. A slit throat worked nicely. Keeping the man drunk as possible helped to lower any defenses he might have had though. After such a heavy rewrite, it would take a day or two before the man was really functional again, but Resi had his first new thrall on the planet.

On their way through customs, the small 'family' had passed a young Guardian by the name of Amauri Vos. They'd moved through the citadel's security and immigration so swiftly she hadn't had the opportunity to observe them in detail, or at length, nor to focus her not inadequate Force abilities in their direction. She had, however, felt something was out of place with them. Maybe it was the lack of kiffar facial tattoos, not many outsiders came to Kiffu except for trade, and the merchants and smugglers kept to themselves, and rarely stayed long.
KIffar were mistrustful of outsiders, and the few non-Kiffar stood out as a very small percentage of the population. Those that were here were known to the Kiffar, and the three strangers that had taken up work had been noted by many, though no one sensed any reason to fear them specifically. They hadn't done anything to attract attention.
Nonetheless, they had it.
Amauri had, in lieu of having the opportunity to investigate during their arrival, had raised a query with immigration about the family. This led to Citadel Security doing a background check on the IDs, and flagging their registered accomodations with the local Guardians as a point of interest. This alone turned up nothing unusual or alarming. There had been just one single thing that had raised red flags and caused a Citadel wide security alert; one of the family had been identified by the customs scanners. Not his identity, but his species.
A species of whom several members had once before carried out a murder spree in this very citadel, caused the deaths of dozens of innocent Kiffar, and been hunted down and imprisoned in Deadend Prison on Kiffex by Kaine Australis himself in a story that Kiffar still told their small children. A name that invoked fear, loathing and dread. A name that had only been spoken in curses on Kiffu for the last several decades.
Predator.
Snot Vampire.
Anzati.
Now the hunter would become the hunted.

It took a while to really fit in at the bar. The younger couple were normal enough. At least normal looking enough. But they spent a lot of time working at various temp work jobs, in between going on dates & visiting local attractions. The old man, however, spent most of his time in the bar. He didn't exactly hide his face, but he did keep his hood up most of the time. Those that got close enough, quickly saw why. Much of his face was a ruined pulp. Some of the damage looked extremely old. The middle part of his face, where a kiffu bar tattoo would be, was a single, mostly-healed wound. Even with the healing though, it was a mess of scar tissue that showed the bones of his skull in several places. That damage also extended to the ruined sockets where his eyes had long ago been. The rest of his face was a tangled mess of scars, some obviously old, others still with the pink edges of slow healing.
Over a bit of time, he seemed to gain a bit of a following though. Despite his appearance, he was extremely personable & a good listener. He was also willing to carry a drunk home, though they usually didn't return to the bar the very next day. Fairly soon, nearly all the regular patrons & the staff in the bar counted him as one of their closest friends, despite the short time they had know him. Of course, they would only say that because he had rewritten their minds, but who was really keeping track. By the end, he was doing rips in the back room of the bar itself while his thralls kept watch.
Something Vos had always gotten picked on for his name. It was at once extremely common, & extremely unusual. But now he was going to get his revenge. He had been rising in the ranks of a respectable local company, but had eventually been goaded into a fight over his name. That had been the start of his downward spiral. He had spend the last few years bouncing from one janitorial job to other. He had been working at one of the water treatment plants for roughly a year now. Pretty soon he would get fired from that as well. He wasn't on shift tonight. But he still had plans for work. Over the last few days, he had been smuggling small packets in during his shift & hiding them safely away in an unused corner of one of the supply closets. He came in with all the others starting their shifts, he even clocked in as normal. It would raise eyebrows, but not quick enough to be able to stop him. Instead of his normal cleaning route, he headed right for a certain supply closet. Loading the entire stock into one cleaning cart, he pushed it through the various halls until he was standing right next to a certain wall. On the other side of the wall was a very large holding tank for water that hadn't been proceed yet. Meaning the water was full of all the funnest things in raw sewage that could be produced in an arcology. The contents of the cleaning cart had been farming supplies not that long ago, but a contact had been able to secure him a large trash can's full. After a little preparatory treatment, all it took was a small spark from what had been a datapad. The blast tore a fair sized chunk out of the wall between the hallway & the tank. Two & a half thousand cubic meters of sewage began to pour through the new hole, draining quickly into the facility beyond. If he hadn't been obliterated by the blast, Something Vos would have been killed by the sheer weight of the rush of the water.

To say the explosion was the worst disaster to occur on Kiffu in decades wasn't an understatement. Several levels were flooded with a wash of foul sewage. Cleanup was expected to take weeks, and the cost of the damage ran to the millions of credits. Two entire levels of the Citadel had to be evacuated and quarantined, as the spill was contained. Each level had drainage, but not nearly enough to cope with the spill alone, and it was allowed to flow down two levels before being stopped. Much of the liquid had already been drained away by the end of the first day, but the infectious, toxic and thoroughly unpleasant remains could be seen through the affected levels. Hence the evacuation, and those that were involved in the cleanup had appropriate protective gear. As did the investigators looking into the cause of the blast, down at the site of the explosion.
Guardian Security had made the investigation its top priority, with all the resources of the Citadel at its disposal, and the Sheyf himself had given them leave to do anything necessary to maintain security. Teams of operators were scouring CCTV footage, piecing together events leading up to the explosion. They quickly identified the only being that was known to have been in the vicinity as Something Vos, and he became the primary being of interest. Traces taken from the blast site showed no military grade explosives, however a homemade improvised explosive device hadn't been ruled out. Investigators checked known criminals, eliminating those with alibis or proven to have had no contact with the location or the primary being of interest.
A team of Guardians tossed Something's home and found nothing of interest. He was known to local law enforcement as something of a trouble magnet, but nothing other than a few fistfights and brawls had been appended to his record. Nothing to indicate terrorist leanings or sympathies. His movements for the entire week leading up to the incident were retraced, using the Citadel's extensive CCTV network. He'd visited several bars, and had evidently slept off one hell of a bender, as he'd spent more than 24 hours in his quarters.
One incident in particular attracted attention. Just before he'd spent that day or so in his room, Something Vos, leaving the bar in the company of a recently arrived family, one of whom had been flagged by Citadel Security as an Anzati. Nothing untoward was obvious in the video, just friends helping a companion home from overindulgence in the consumption of intoxicants. The bar, and the Anzati, however, were now also items of interest to the investigators. A pair of Guardians was tasked to visit the bar, and try to speak with the Anzati, if nothing else to eliminate him as a being of interest, and see if anyone there could add to the story of Something Vos. They suspected nothing more than a possibly disgruntled employee, but all possibilities had to be run down. There was the remote possibility that some form of Anzati mental compulsion was involved, but that wasn't foremost in the minds of the investigators. They'd run down the more mundane possibilities before going through the farfetched ones.
Two Kiffar Guardians in loose cloaks with lightsabers at their belts, a male and female, entered the bar where Something Vos had left unconscious. Ios and Eliandra Vel, cousins and locally born and raised Kiffar, with matching familial facial tattoos.
Afternoon, friends. We're here about a man named Something Vos. He's been known to frequent this establishment, and we're interested in his movements over the last week.
Any help you fine people could provide would be a great service to the Guardians.
That last sentence tended to open doors and loosen tongues among the society of Kiffar that lived in the Dark Citadel. The Guardians were widely respected, even among the criminal types, as being fair, just, and willing to turn a blind eye to activities not strictly legal that didn't harm anyone but the individual.

Something Vos hadn't been a regular otherwise Resi wouldn't have used him for his first attack on the planet. But, he had made the mistake of visiting the bar on a bender crawl. It took a few minutes of the actual regulars talking until they actually remembered the person in question. There was more than a little surprise that it was the same person that had carried out the attack, but then again, none of the bar patrons really knew him. The general atmosphere in the bar was surprisingly light though. The patrons had an easy sort of comradeship with everyone else in the bar. They even extended it to the guardians. Of course, the reason for that was that was how Resi had reshaped their minds. At last the conversation turned to the fact that Resi had helped carry the man home after he had passed out from drunkenness.
Resi was readily forthcoming with the fact he helped, though the other regular that had been under the man's other arm was currently absent from the bar. Mainly due to being on a work shift at the moment. The story was fairly straight forward, the man had hit it off well in the bar, but passed out from drink. After checking his ID, Resi & the other regular had carried him home & stayed a while to make sure he would be alright. After that they had returned to the bar. Cross questioning the other patrons or staff of the bar would turn up more or less the same story. Taking into account general details being somewhat blurred from everyone being at least slightly drunk at the time.
-Resi Was there anything I can help you with? Or would you two care to join us for a few drinks?

The guardians moved around the bar talking to various patrons and staff. None seemed to have anything of value to add to the investigation. Eliandra did sense a strangeness to some of the replies, as if the kiffar were reading from a script, but she shrugged it off. Nothing alarmed her about the situation, this was strictly routine investigative work, something the Guardians trained extensively for in their role as peacekeepers. Ios, the more direct of the two, quickly grew bored and had after not long, decided the bar was a dead end. Something to be checked out and crossed off a very long list. Finally the pair of Kiffar Guardians came to the scarred old man. The Anzati. Immediately they both noticed the cheeks, they were hard to miss. His feeding tentacles were missing. Not concealed, gone, in some sort of maiming. Ios immediately felt sympathy for the old Anzat, mentally reclassifying him as harmless. Eliandra was more curious.-Resi Was there anything I can help you with? Or would you two care to join us for a few drinks? We can't drink on duty, but thankyou. Her cousin was more relaxed, already having relegated this conversation to that of a mundane chore.I'll have something non offensive, if you've got something fizzy and non-toxic. Eliandra raised an eyebrow at her cousin but said nothing. Ios wasn't the most diligent or intelligent of people, but he had been a Guardian for some time, and was experienced enough to be just a little jaded with this sort of police work. We're here about a local worker, used to drink in this place. Unusual name of Something Vos. Have you seen him before? Eliandra was the younger, more idealistic, wanting to do honour to her family and the best job she could at all times. They made a surprisingly effective team when they were on the same page, which wasn't always the case with such different personalities. Though they were cousins, they hadn't grown up together and didn't have the lifelong familiarity that those who grow up together share. Theirs was a professional relationship more than a familial one. Her mind certainly seemed to be more on the job than his at this point.

Resi gave a wave in not quiet the right direction for where the barkeeper was. With his ability to see through the force, he knew exactly where the man was, but he was very well practiced in pretending to be blind at all times. The barkeep was close enough to have overheard & was already preparing a suitable drink for the guardian.
-Resi Put it on my tab, Mic. Nope, I've never seen him before.
Resi made a slight wave toward his face & the obvious lack of eyes.
-Resi Sorry, an old man's little joke. I don't recall him as a regular, but he did come in here a little bit back. Was trying to get himself completely wasted. Managed fairly well as me & one of the boys had to carry him home. I don't think he has been in here since. Seemed really unhappy about something or other at work. He wouldn't say what though.

Eliandra smiled at the joke gracefully. Ios chuckled. The lack of eyes was rather obvious, and she'd phrased the question poorly.
Sorry.
Did he talk about his work at all, mention any co-workers?
Ios lounged at the bar, not seeming to pay too much attention to Eliandra's questioning of the old Anzat, who seemed to him to be a decent enough and even likeable fellow. He watched the barkeep work, more for something to do than out of any suspicion of drink tampering. People respected the guardians too much to poison them.
Your boy didn't happen to get a look inside his home did he? He around for us to talk with? Ios asked the question himself to remind Eliandra she should have asked that question instead of being embarrassed about her opening faux pas.

Resi sat back & thought for a moment. Meanwhile the drink was finished properly & passed on to the guardian.
-Resi I don't think so. Not beyond general complaining. Seemed really fixated on messes. I figured he had some really messy coworkers.
The question about his 'boy' wasn't unexpected, but would take a while before they got answers.
-Resi He might have. But we were only there for a few minutes to drop him off & make sure he was alright. The one that helped me was Ori Kaboobaleh. He is at work right now, but he should be by later on tonight though.

The two guardians took the setback in stride. It was minor, and they'd have plenty of opportunity to run down the lead.
Ios sipped at his drink, while Eliandra perservered with Resi.
Easy name to remember, thankyou, friend. I'm sure we'll be able to track him down.
Warily, she reached out with the Force to get a sense of the Anzat. Immediately she was repulsed by the pain and suffering she felt, too terrible to bear for more than a moment. She almost suppressed the shudder that wanted to pass through her body, but even with concentration, there would be a very slight visible tremble. Only the most observant, or those sensitive to the Force would notice her momentary disconcertment. Ios did, and reached out both to comfort his cousin, and to sense the Anzat himself. He was also repulsed, but being more experienced, less so. Still, it contributed further to the feelings of sympathy he felt for the harmless old fellow.
I didn't get your name, i'm sorry. Rude of me. You've been so kind She recovered quickly, with no tremor in her voice.

Resi let out a slight laugh.
-Resi No worries. I worked as a cop myself in younger days. I know how easy it is to get caught up in the chase. The name is Resi. Resi Thrice-Dead.
It was true enough, though he didn't bother to mention that the type of cop he had been involved carrying a lightsabre & hunting down darksiders. Of course, those days were as dead as Yavin. Now he hunted much larger prey. Now he hunted nations.
-Resi I'm afraid I haven't gotten your own names, actually. If you are allowed to share them while on duty?
