*The Star Temples were a series of ancient massive pyramid-shaped buildings constructed by the Kwa around Infinity Gates to protect them from intruders.*

Generals Mizuko and Meghana had already positioned their combined forces to surround the Star Temple, and the moment the command was given, they began to close in around the building, with turbolaser fire preceeding the advancing line. The Jungle Corps specialization in hit and run tactics served little to aide them in combatting a force that had surrounded their position and was marching relentlessly upon their position, forcing them to pull back further towards the temple. With the simultaneous attacks being executed as they were, and the Shaper's forces blitzing the Nightsister defences, there had been no time for their enemy to effectively utalize their specialization in this fight.
Although the line was breifly held back as the garrison had holed up in the Temple, the deaths of the Queen's allowed Mizuko and Meghana's forces to rush in and use the disarray to secure victory over the Drones. That was the thing about a hive minded army, once their leader's were killed, they were absolutely useless at fighting, and with no other independantly thinking fighting force present, the Shaper's easily secured victory and wiped out the defenders. Once a defence force had been picked, Mizuko and Meghana took a gunship to the Fortress, whilst the rest of the forces headed back to the landing zone

Luxeria brought her ship down, he destination the remains of the Star Temple. It was where the search started years ago, where they had encountered the Nightsisters. It made sense to pick the trail up here again. Although this time, she knew the tricks of the Nightsisters and this time she wasn't seeking a book, she was seeking them. The tables would be turned. She had the knowledge and brought numbers to aid her as she wasn't going to play games. The quicker they could subdue the Nightsisters and claim this world, the better. Even if it eventually meant wiping the Nightsisters from existence themselves.
Landing a few miles away from the temple, Luxeria began powering down the systems. Taking another breath, she stood and made her way back to the lounge after watching the other shuttle land. Looking to the others, she spoke. "It's time. We have landed near the old Star Temple. That alone should have alerted the Nightsisters so we should be seeing them real soon."

Ela had perched herself by the viewport, watching the ships descent down to the surface of Dathomir. Her gaze settled upon the pyramidal structure as the ship was set down nearby. Silently noting to herself to ask about them at a later time when they weren't about to enter combat. She turned back and looked at Luxeria as their host announced they had landed near something known as a Star Temple. Ela pushed up off the seat and stood ready to follow Lead the way. Hopefully these... Nightsisters do not leave us waiting long... Although she was quite honestly vastly out of her depths in terms of who all the players were, she was a more than capable fighter. With that in mind, she was pretty certain she could put up enough of a facade knowing what was going on to get by in these next few moments

Giving only a nod to her apprentice, Luxeria departed with the others in tow. As she left the ramp, she made her way over to the Sith Knights as they stood there waiting for her orders. Stepping up, she spoke to remind them of what their task would be. "Be alert. These Nightsisters would attack us at any moment. When they do, engage immediately and quell the fighting. However, do not kill anyone. Our goal is to gain their allegiance." Her head then dropped as her mind reached out to all of theirs as well as her partners. However, be ready to kill should I give the order. We are to gain their allegiance by any means necessary. So if they refuse to open up in any other manner, we will show them why we are Sith and why we are to be feared.
With her orders given, she led the team towards the remains of the Star Temple.

Ela and Maethoriel followed Luxeria as she led the way out of the ship and over to the assembled group of Sith Knights. Her yellow gaze settled across the Sith Knights, examining their physical appearance while also feeling and sensing them out within the Force. While none of them seemed to be anything entirely special and unique, they all seemed powerful and capable enough. No doubt they would be useful in acting as cannon fodder and fending off what ever hordes these Nightsisters might have. Ela gave a nod of her head in acknowledgement of Luxeria's order that was spoken into her mind. Something she could only guess the others had also heard.
She then followed Luxeria toward the remains of the Star Temple, reaching out her senses to the forests surrounding the structure And now the waiting game begins...

It was about half a mile of walking in silence that the team went before everything began crashing down upon them. There were no voices or alterations of thoughts. Only streams of green lightning flew at them from multiple directions. As the attack came, Luxeria jumped into the air and out of the way, not once looking back to see if the others were hit by the attack. It was expected for all to be alert and it was but their own fault if they were so caught off guard they couldn't;t evade or otherwise defend themselves.
As she landed, she noticed the group of Nightsisters appearing from their surroundings. As she expected, they had been watching them for a little while, setting up their attacks. For the most part, other than coming out of nowhere, their initial attack had failed and led them to engage the Sith at close range with their weapons. There were fifteen in total, a few of them holding back to continue barrages of lightning against their foes that were engaged with the others.
Luxeria ignited her twin curved hilts, the purple blades coming to life. She made her way through, racing in to engage some of the Nightsisters, though her targets were the ones in the back. They would be the hindrance moving forward if her forces had to defend from close and long-range attacks simultaneously. Parrying the blades of one sister, she ducked down in a spin, to take out the legs her legs and send her falling onto her back. She then moved into another, deflecting it as she spun around, her lightsaber grazing her leg, followed by her arm with her second one.
She was then clear to engage the ones in the back. Her sabers came up as a barrage of lighting came at her, forcing her to a stop. Slashing forward with them, she unleashed the Force in a push, creating a barrier wave the deflected and sent the lightning back at the Nightsister. It caused her to roll out of the way, giving Luxeria all the time she needed to close the gap. Upon reaching her, she spun around and brought her pommel to slash across the woman's back. Not even waiting, she moved to the next one, doing the same as she was focused on attacking another target.
Jumping away, she only watched as her attacks took their toll. Before long, both Nightsisters hit the ground unable to move. Luxeria smirked seeing that her work had been a success. Modifying Devora Sinas, the pointed crystal pommels had been hollowed out in order to hold a poison of her choice. All it took was a scratch for the poison to move from the crystals to her target. In this case, she went with her favorite type: Senflax. It allowed her to shut down any enemy, even Force-sensitives, with ease, eliminating the need for any harm. They were helpless now until the poison ran its course or was healed.
With two of the five who stood back down, Luxeria returned to engage the remaining attackers, a task that was mostly easy with the number of Knights she brought as it was easily a 2 to 1 battle.

With her senses alert, Kosrezic felt the surge of the Force prior to the attack, giving her the time to move out of the way of the first attack. It was then that the Nightsisters appeared and began attacking. Igniting her curved hilts, the Twi'lek rushed in and began to engage. Being an apprentice, she didn't hold the skill and grace her master did. As such, taking down a Sister was a bit more difficult, especially since she was facing them and not just moving past them. Her purple blades clashed against metal as she moved with the grace of Form II. A deflect here and a parry there, Kosrezic worked to find her opening, one that would bring the sister down without serious injuries. Easier said than done considering most times she fought to kill, the work of the Great Hunt and the Dromund Kaas campaign furthering that approach.
Before she could take the sisters down, she retreated a few feet as a barrage of lightning flew at her from the other side. Bringing both of her sabers up, she deflected it as it pushed against her. With her back turned, the other Nightsister attacked. However, Kosrezic wasn't so weak and unprepared. Breaking a saber free, she turned to deflect the attack, manipulating her Nightsister momentum forward as she worked to spin around behind. Her saber disengaging, the lighting was allowed to continue its path into its target, now her fellow Nightsister. One always had to be cautious when fighting an opponent with more than one at a time and this was why. One never knew when they could be redirected into their partner's attack by a clever move.
The attack ended with the Nightsister on the ground from the lightning, her body sparking and shaking, but still alive. With the one sister now targeting her with a vengeance, she had to move. Using the Force to speed her steps, she closed the distance, but not before the next barrage. Lifting a single saber up to deflect, she threw her free saber out to the side, using the Force to make it spin as it arched around to cut the Nightsister in half. It was an obvious attack, one that caused the Nightsister to take one hand away from its attack on Kosrezic to fire lightning at the spinning saber to stop its movements.
But it left the Nightsister open, just as Kozrezic hoped. Her free hand moving to point at the Nightsister, a barrage of her own purple lightning. Unable to create fast enough, the sister was hit and in a few seconds was down for the count. Summoning her saber back to her, she looked around at the battlefield, seeing where else she needed to go.

The battle raged on between the Sith and the Nightsisters. In most cases, this task would have been simple for her soldiers had it not been for the non-kill order. Unless absolutely necessary, these sisters were to be rendered unconscious or unable to fight with a minimal amount of damage. Certainly not the way of a Sith, but it was what had to be done to hold a chance at gaining their allegiance.
As they continued to fight, Luxeria heard a rumble above them. Turning her eyes skyward, the darkness above them began to shift and flash with white light. She knew what was coming and they needed to stop it before the spell could be cast. Grabbing a few of her soldiers, she ordered them to scour the area around the battlefield for any Nightsisters in hiding. She had come to learn a bit of the cult here since her first encounter in the chance they ever came face to face again. Aspect of the Storm was a powerful lighting attack that rained bolts of lightning from the sky, much like Force Storm. It would devastate her troops if allowed to be triggered, hence her haste.
Reaching out with the Force, she let the flow of its currents guide her as she moved. Her senses spoke of ten more sisters just outside the battlefield, fueling power into the attack. She came upon the first with vigorous speed, slashing across the sister's back with the pommel of her saber before she could move. It was but a moment or two before she succumbed to the influence of her Sneflax poison and fell over. One by one, the sisters went down as she and her men found them. With each sister that fell, the spell weakened until it finally disappeared from sight.
Moving back to the battle, only one remained. Surrounded on all sides, she looked around with fury, trying to find a way out of her situation. However, Luxeria wasn't about to allow that. Reaching out with the Force, Luxeria lifted the sister off the ground and held her there as she approached. "Fight all you wish, you can not overcome the power that stands before you. Look around. All of your sisters have fallen to our might. And it is through my good graces that they all continue to live with little in the way of injuries."
The Nightsister glanced around, seeing that the auburn-haired woman's claim to be true. No other sister remained, yet none of their life forces were diminished. Eyes still holding a fire, she looked back to Luxeria.
"What is it that you want? Why have you come to this place?"
Luxeria smirked a bit as she saw the sister become more compliant. "We seek an audience with your leader. We seek to create an alliance between your people and the Sith." Dropping the girl to the ground, heavy breaths and glowing eyes were all that Luxeria received for a few moments before nodding, signifying she would take them to her leader.
With that agreement, Luxeria ordered everyone to gather up the Nightsister and load them onto the ships before boarding themselves. She would ensure their people made it back home and not left out in the wilderness if only to show the Nightsisters they didn't wish their destruction. Before long, they were in the air and headed for the camp.

The Star Temple, the house of the Infinity Gate, the power of the Cosmos as proclaimed by the Kwa. Dathomir had many great gains that the Sith desired for the future to come. The Jedi Praxeum to serve as a shrine for educating the young and potent of the Dark Side. The Nightsisters who capabilities were a boon to the ranks of the Conclave. Not to mention the various creatures that slithered, stomped, and stampeded across its surface. Animals that could be tamed and use as weapons of war. Yet, the greatest of prizes was this very structure, a testament to the power once held by an ancient civilization.
It was well protected however, so exploration was risky for any who ventured here. Though the Nightsisters, hired as guides and intellects of the structure and the area, served well to the exploration teams of the Circle of Knowledge, the automated systems and the creatures still proved an issue. The Hierarch simply wanted to learn more of the potential of this structure and this Infinity Gate before deciding on what to do next. There tales of its power, but that was all. The Sith desired facts, not suspected fiction after all.

The Conclave was falling apart. The events - which took weeks to transpire - felt like an overnight rush. It had been a strangely swift fall as Malvus' madness manifested and quickly spread amongst his most loyal followers at the upper echelons of power. Those resistant to the infection quickly fled. Those that did not manage to quietly slip away were hunted down and executed. It was within the later category, that Elarinya currently found herself. With her training nearing an end, Maethoriel had permitted her to take the fleet on a training exercise to Dathomir. A test of her leadership skills, with several members of The Dominate aboard to assist in assessing the exercise. But that Exercise had come to an end when reports from Korriban had managed to slip through regarding the collapse.
Maethoriel had ordered her to return to Korriban with the fleet, but Ela had refused. The Dark Side granted great power, this was true. But power without control was pointless. A mindless monster was no better than a Jedi. Statements which had infuriated Maethoriel, with the Zoltronian Blade Master vowing to come end her "insolent" life.
Ela's gaze turned to the sky, watching as a small ship breached the atmosphere at speed. Its trajectory coming straight for the Star Temple's main staircase where she was presently standing. She could feel her former Master's presence within, seething with hatred and given over to the Dark Side. She had learned that there was a sweet spot between madness and control, where the Darkness was the strongest. Too much control, and you could not unleash the full potential of the Force. Too much madness, and you could not direct that flow of energy.
She held the pair of sabers up in front of her face, her eyes closing for a moment as she drew her focus inward. She'd forsaken her armour in this fight. Choosing instead the usual clothing she wore for the increased flexibility it provided. The black fabric fluttered in the wind as she stood still, sensing the starfighter drawing closer and closer by the second. Drawing the Force to her as fast as she could.
Then, at the very last moment, so bent her knees and immediately extended them. The Force flowing down through her body and projected her up through the air. Her twin blades activating as she swung them out to the side and cross them above her head. The guard motion coming just in time as Maethoriel erupted from the starfighter's cockpit and sliced through the air with her blade.
The impact of the starfighter against the staircase cause stone to go flying through the air, while the subsequent explosion sent Ela and Maethoriel hurtling up through the air. Both women executed graceful spins and landed higher up the Temple staircase. The flaming wreckage now blocking any descent down to the ground. She kept her composure, even as she faced the person who had trained her for the last couple years. Allowing her to grow beyond the frightened child who trusted no one.
Words were useless here, that much was clear. So she wasted none of them against Maethoriel as she charged down the stairs, her blades held out wide, swinging them forward in large sweeping arcs. Maethoriel rushed upwards in response. Their blades clashed in the air midway between their previous positions. The air was filled with red plasma sparks and the flash of a silver blade as the pair danced around and struck at one another.
The clash of blades was only occasionally interrupted by the splash of blood droplets appearing in the air and staining the stone of the stairs.
Ela jumped backward through the air and landed on the stairs. Her twin blades striking out into the air as Maethoriel came flying after her. The Zeltron's blade fell limp mid swing as the pair of red saber blades skewered her. Ela deactivated the blades a few moments later, causing her former Master's body to slump down onto the stones.
Even though she was victorious, she took no chances that the madness that was fading from Maethoriel's body might infect her or Dathomir. So she used the Force to suspect the Zeltron in the air and carried it up into the Star Temple properly. As if sensing her intent, the mechanism of the Infinity Gate came to life, activating a portal to some distant and far off corner of the Galaxy. As soon as the energy stabilised, creating a solid link, Ela sent Maethoriel's body flying through to its final resting place amongst the cosmos. The Gate almost immediately spun down, returning to its formerly passive state.
Elarinya turned her back and did not look back as she emerged from the Temple, watching as the Duath came swooping down, the hangar bay door opening up as it got closer to the Temple structure. As soon as the Transport was close enough, Ela leaped up into the air and landed inside the opening. The Duath took a turn then and headed back up into orbit toward the Amarth as the hangar doors closed behind Ela.
The first step had been taken. She had broken her chains, and now, she could roam freely

Ylanna Spiritgazer, Lillaeth Darkflower, and a number of other Clan Mothers that made up the Coalition gathered at their chosen meeting place at the base of the central Star Temple. When the Sith Conclave fell into disorder, the Witches of Dathomir had seen their chance to rise up against the meagre Nightsister forces that had sat in power thanks to the backing of the Sith. Their clans fought together and once more took dominance over their home world. While the Nightsisters still skulk around in the darkness of their Fortress, for the time being, their control over Dathomir was no more. Something the Clan Mothers had helped insure going into the future by allying with the First Order. While they were outsiders, they also seemed amenable to limiting their presence and working only toward ensuring the safety of the world from other Outsiders.
Today, though, it was not an outsider that was on their minds. Instead, it was the fact that someone claiming to be Mother Daene Drashi's daughter was here. Only one of the older Clan Mothers had been around since the time Drashi and her Clan escaped Dathomir. Thus, she would go a long way in helping determine the truth of this woman's story. Assuming she came down to meet with them. Meanwhile, Rancor Riders and Witches set to work establishing a perimeter around the gathering, while also setting hexes and protective barriers against ambush and eavesdroppers

After some time a strange shuttle was landing at one of the free ruin sites, showing no hostile intentions. While the shuttle craft was descending some of the witches could feel a familiar yet unknown presence emitting from the shuttle itself. The Force could be felt in many ways on Dathomir - and while the scent was still strange, the person aboard, that could be felt was no ordinary Jedi. Others seemed to travel with them, yet their presence within the Force was smaller.
Eventually the vehicle came to a halt, opening it's hatches to reveal a young woman, cloaked in grey robes and painted within tribal colours stepping out of the shuttle. Two witches accompanied her alongside four Zabrak-human bodyguards, that were looking around watchful, yet mesmerized as they saw the surrounding landscape. Just as if they had suddenly entered a paradise they had only heard about, yet never seen before in their lifes.
As Gaelle came closer towards the native sisters, that awaited her, a long pause followed, before she looked into each of their eyes. Silence. Then she lowered her head, kneeling in front of them. "At last. I'm finally home", she stated, clearly hearable, yet shaking, "After all these years... I never thought I would ever touch the soil of my homeworld once more..."

Telandra cautiously followed Gaelle out of the shuttle. It had been some time since she'd fled Dathomir when the First Order had allied with some of the other Witch Clans and attacked. It was disconcerting, to say the least, that she was now back upon her home world. She'd heard the First Order had left this world not long after the Galactic Alliance had fallen. But they had apparently returned, this time a bit more permanently. It made her wonder just how these Clan Mother's would greet them and how many had survived since the reign of Satish.
Would any of them remember her and the side she had been upon? would they still seek to kill her for having sided with the Shapers? Surely not. The Galactic Alliance was long dead. There was no reason any of them would still have ill will toward her. When Gaelle kneeled, Telandra followed suit, bowing her head low as well
The Clan Mothers all watched the Shuttle land and those within disembark. Their own personal guards were close by, inspecting those that Gaelle had brought with her. It was a strange situation, welcoming back a Clan Mother whose people have fled Dathomir many years ago when the Nightsisters had reigned. They exchanged glances with one another as Gaelle knelt and spoke, exclaiming her joy at touching the soil of her homeworld Your arrogance almost caused you not to ever touch it, Mother Drashi...
Whilst harsh, Mother Spiritgazer is right. But your connection to the Winged Goddess brought you through... It seems you also brought Sister Telandra back with you as well... The Goddess does smile upon us...
Tch.... Ylanna turned a disgusted gaze upon Teldandra. She'd been just another sister back when Satish had ruled Dathomir, and had sided with Matriarch Ebony. When the attack on the Fortress occurred, she'd watched Telandra escape the battle and be launched in one of the few remaining escape ships. Ylanna had been forced to remain behind, something she held some resentment over. It was then that the Eldest Clan Mother spoke The blood of Mother Daene has indeed returned to Dathomir... Rise, Mother Drashi...

Gaelle nodded, yet remaining stoic and with herself at inner peace. If it would have been pride, that drove her, she would have ordered the attack upon the First Order's fleet and either overcome their enemy or failed in doing so. Yet there was no means for hostile transgressions. There were more far sinister threats that roamed the galaxy, that had rather her attention than some Imperial gouvernment. As she was ordered to stand up, she did as she was told.
"I feel that the darkness over Dathomir still remains, nearly as strong as when our brothers and sisters left the planet decades ago", she spoke up, "From Telandra I had heard tales of the one, they called Satish and how he vanquished the Nightsisters. And yet the stain of darkness has returned once more to Dathomir. What has happened, that the Force is once again bleeding nearly as strong within the memories that Mother Deane had shared with me?" For now she had to make sure that this wasn't necessarily something that was caused by the Imperials or another ancient evil that had been accidentally awakened after their arrival. Her concerns settled around similiar memories around the time she spent on Serenno, when various Sith cultists and their leaders tried to taint the whole planet with their attempts to subjugate it. Perhaps something similiar has happened here... was it the Nightsisters alone or something far more sinister?

Ylanna spat to the side as Gaelle spoke his name out loud Don't ever speak his name in my presence again...
Easy Sister... It's true that he and Matriarch Ebony vanquished a large number of the Nightsisters. But some of their numbers evaded death... When the Sith showed up, they supported the remnants of the Nightsisters. Our clans were subjugated or forced into the wilderness to hide...
It would seem, however, that their power has waned. I watched two of their kind fight upon these stairs, before the victor's forces withdrew.
The Nightsisters have rallied behind a single Clan Mother and taken root in their Fortress. The threat, however, is much less than when Mother Deane fled. In this fight, we and the Imperials are united. A foe against which a swift and final, decisive blow must be dealt. Their taint won't last much longer...
Telandra shook a little Ylanna's reaction. She wished Gaelle would have used Ebony's name instead of Satish's, but the damage was done. For now, she did her best to remain as small as possible, not wishing to further bring about Ylanna's ire

"Forgive me my ignorance of past events, Sisters, for among the stars we have endured our own journey", Gaelle apologized, lowering her head briefly, "One that certainly brought our tribe into safety, but still came at a cost. The world that we found was less dominant within the force and inhabitated by others, that at first would likely have rejected us, was it not for the help of the local Jedi. We adapted, we grew and yet couldn't escape our destiny, for other Darksiders would claim their footholds upon the planet. With our help, the Light was able to prevail. Dathomir won't be the end of our journey, that much I can promise you. Among the stars other evils will have to be vanquished by our strength and those that wish to aid us, are welcome to do so. But it is good to see our home as well. Many will die and become one with the Force on what is yet to come, today though we will utilize this chance and at least return those from exile, that wished to come back and see their homeworld with their own eyes. Serenno never truelly was our home.
And this is also, why we wish to end the Nightsister's reign once and for all with you, side by side. And as long as the First Order won't make us trouble, there are no objections from our sides regarding them."
She hoped that with these words the native withes would understand at least to some extent her personal motivation and why she had returned. Why their people in general have returned. So far Gaelle couldn't estimate how the situation between the clans and the First Order were currently, yet there was for the moment no reason to fight the Imperials, if they had the same goal in mind. Gaelle knew that she and her people were different towards those, that only dwelled here on the surface and had never left this very lush world on their own - yet they were more similiar to eachother than any other outsider from across the stars for they had upheld the old traditions and the old ways even in exile.

The Witches listened intently, sharing glances with one another about the information Gaelle laid out. Illaesia raised her hand, pre-emptively cutting off the other Witch Mothers. More specifically Ylanna. While the Spiritgazer definitely held a lot of respect, she was very outspoken and would only create tension in this situation We each have our own path, guided by the Winged Goddess. We are grateful she has guided you here, for however short a stay that may be. And we will gladly welcome any amongst your Clan that wish to remain upon Dathomir, either as their own Clan or amongst our own Clans. Correct sisters?
Correct. As regards the First Order, they have agreed to remain out of our politics unless we request their aide as a united front. The Nightsisters are as much our enemy as they are the First Order's. They have held to the treaty for the last year, so I trust they will continue to do so...
We will inform General Aethyr that your people be allowed to land. You are under our protection whilst you remain here Mother Drashi. Once they are upon the surface, we can bring you up to speed on our scouting reports and preparations. We will reclaim Dathomir properly and eliminate the Nightsisters...

Gaelle lowered her head in respect, thankful upon the decision. "Then we shall aid our people in this battle against the darkness once more", the Clan Mother told the three honest and respectful, "The times of hiding are now over, for we have conquered the stars and will not only drive the Nightsisters from this world, but ensure that Dathomir won't suffer again from the hands of outsiders. Tell the First Order that they have also nothing to fear from us over this world. Like for you it is a sacred ground to us and the people under my banner. Thus we will respect their presence over this world, even though we neither serve." To some point the Dathomirian Clan Mother was still concerned that the Imperials would still see her and her followers as a threat, given her affiliations towards the Jedi Lords and the Imperials hardly being able to understand the spirit of the various Jedi philosophies. But she is hopeful that with time trust can be build up. Despite their flaws she had also heard that some of the Mandalorians had good relationships with the First Order despite their realm remaining independent. Maybe a similiar state was in place upon this world.

Good luck Mother Drashi...Illaesia gave a bow of her head before taking her leave of the council. Ylanna gave a scowling glance toward Telandra before leaving without any farewells. Lillaeth offered a smile forthApologies for her, Ylanna went through a lot... I look forward to seeing you n the battlefield sisters...Lillaeth gave a quick bow and headed back to her own group, a pair of wolves seemingly appearing at her side as she left. One had fur as white as snow, while the other had a coat as dark as coal Telandra finally relaxed as the council was over and the more important decisions had been settled. The Witch Clans had already reformed a council and were preparing to assault the Nightsisters, and they had arrived just in time to assist. They were very welcome coincidences. She gave a bow to Gaelle thenThe darkness will not last long here, and then this world will be safe... We should get going.
