*The Fleet of Admiral E'thinaga jumps in system in attack formation and races to cut off all escape routes for the helpless planet. What resistance is met is minor and easily handled by the Swarm Droids. The Pride, Vengance, & War Claw move into orbit without having to fire a shot. The Psalm moves to within range and launches all 30,000 ODST pods focusing on the main base on Alzoc 3 while the conventional troops begin loading the transports to begin the invasion.*
1 Skar'lak-Class Destroyer "Pride of Lwhekk" Armament: 150 Duel Turbolasers 100 Ion Cannons 30 Point Laser Defense systems 70 Missile Launchers
2 Drech'nacth Class Missile Cruisers "Vengance"& "War Claw" Armament (5) 10 Long Range Heavy Turbolasers 240 Missile Launchers (holds up to 30 Concussion Missiles per tube)
1 Crass'akk ODST Drop ship "Psalm of Egg" Armament 30 Point laser Defense Systems 10 Light Turbolasers 2 Missile launchers

*The Fleet takes up a defensive orbit around Alzoc 3 determined to not only finish the conquest of the Ruuvi's new homeworld, but to defend it as well. The Psalm's Hangar bays open and D'kee transports pour out of the ship heading straight for the largest population centers.*

E'thinaga "Now that we have secured a foothold here and an outpost on nearby Anoth we should begin sending out recon forces to nearby worlds to assertain their usefulness to the New Imperium."
*Turns to address his officers*
"Remember these shall be recons ONLY. You will jump in system on the very edge do your scans and withdraw. I know we would all prefer sending probes but first we must begin producing them. Our probes are to few and far between to waste. Commander H'rung you will take the "Vengance and 20 Swarm droids to Varonat for our first recon. Remember to not engage any hostiles unless engaged first. Undertand?"
H'rung "I do sir"
Ethinaga "Good. Then go with my blessing and glory to the New Imperium!"
*Some time later after transfering back to his ship and completing preflight checks Commander H'rung and the "Vengance" departs the system with her fighter escort.*
*The rest of the fleet maintains a defensive posture*

On board the bridge of the "Pride of Lwhekk"
Ensign X'eel "Admiral I am reciving a message from the "Vengance"
E'thinaga "Go ahead ensign."
X'eel "Sir they report that upon arriving at Varonat their scans picked up what appeared to be Vong ships in orbit. They Immideatly withdrew and are RTB as we speak sir."
*E'thinaga remains silent for a moment to take in this new information then opens a system wide channel*
E'thinaga "All Hands Battlestations. Prepare to recive possible incoming Vong ships on the heels of the "Vengance". *Turns back to X'eel* "ETA of Vengance?"
X'eel "20 Minutes sir"
E'thinaga "Then we have no time to lose! I want confermation of full battle readiness in five!"
*The Fleet moves to cover as much space as possible with sensors on full alert waiting for the "Vengance" and any unwanted tag alongs*

*The Vengance reemerges from hyperspace close to the planet with her fighter escort in tow. The ships immidiatly begin patroling the system for any sign of hostiles. On board the "Pride" E'thinaga paces restlessly up and down the bridge. Seldom had his warriors seen him display such anxiety however many of his warriors were to young to remeber the Vongs invasion off Lwhekk and the awesome power of the Vong military. E'thinaga however remebered vividly seeing his homeworld burn and being powerless to stop it. Ethinaga knew he would not rest until the vong arrived and he knew they would arrive but he saw no victory for his forces this time. The Vong wouldnt come peice at a time. They would come with everything they had untill Alzoc 3 was theirs and E'thinaga's people finally driven into extinction.*

2 Vua'Spar equipped with Mabugat Kan2 Ro'ik chuun m'arh2 Yorik'Stronha3 Yorik'Trema6 Yorik'Vec16 Grutchen Carrier36 Slayer ShipThe fleet drops out of hyperspace at the edge of what would be the gravity well created by the planet. The bridge commander stroked his villip and sent a open broadcast to the fleet that had been spotted over Varonat. As he did this the various fighter craft were released from the hangars of the Vua'Spar. The Vua'Spar were positioned behind the Ro'ik Chuun m'arh but spaced out further and slightly above them. The Yorik'Trema stayed within the Vua'Spar and were loaded with Slayers and Hunters. The Yorik-stronha moved forward slowly and continually were running their scanners. The Yorik-Vec, Grutchen Carriers, and Slayer ships moved into formation in the space inbetween the Vua'Spar and the Ro'ik chuun m'arh.Infidels, you have only a few options regarding the survival of your species. Lay down your disgusting weapons and ships, and follow the Yuuzhan Vong to glory. Or be purified from this universe for using mechanic abominations that require life to operate!

Esthhs enhanced Matalok bursts forth from darkspace, the rest of Tzu's fleet hot on its heels. The Master of the ship communed with the ship's yammosk as it tasted the energies of the system and the ships pilots waited for the word to send forth their fighters. The commander didnt want to tip his hand just yet on what his vessel was capable of. He would let Tzu's forces engage first, and then complete the carnage when surprise would have its greatest impact. He noted three vessels that, although appeared to have Ssi-ruu designs, were clearly outfitted for ship to ship combat, rather than carriers. These must have been the ships that were rumored under development just after the start of the P'w'eck Emancipation movement...

*Alarms wailed aboard the "Pride of Lwhwekk" As the vong fleets appeared on the egde of the system. Ethinaga lets out a massive sigh as he studied the numbers. Vong ships were extremely hard to destroy and with the old ships of the imperium Ethinaga doubted an entire fleet could take on one vong ship. However with the new capital ships the Ssi-ruu fleet could go toe to toe with an equal numbered vong fleet. However there were 2 vong fleets now sitting at the edge of his system and Ethinaga could see no win for the Imperium in this fight. The best he could hope for was to take as many of the vong with him straight to hell.*
*Ethinaga opens a channel to the vong fleet*
::Glory is a word unfit for Vong scum! We shall do the galaxy a favor and wipe you from existence once and for all!::
*The response was more of a show for his fleet than it was an actual threat. Ethinaga knows deep down that this very well may be the end of the Imperium once and for all*
Ethinaga "The Enemy is sitting out of range of all but the Vengeance and War Claw's long range heavy turbolasers. Vengeance and Warclaw engage! Focus your fire on the lead Vua'spar!"
* The Vengeance and War Claw Lock on to Tzu Shai's lead Vua'spar and open fire with all 20 Long range heavy Turbolasers (LRHTL). Ethinaga know that at this range even the LRHTLs would do nothing more than harass the Vong fleet but the goal was to force the vongs to stay in formation and at arms length for the moment. E'thinaga watches the LRHTLs slice through the vacuum towards their target, from his bridge with a look of deep sadness for his doomed species.*

Do-ro'ik vong pratte! Then your disgusting species dies here!
As soon as the laser shots were fired and streaking towards the Vua'Spar flagship the crews of both Vua'Spar began having the dovin basals open up micro-blackholes to suck the laser fire in. All but four were absorbed, which ended up still being deflected by the quick redirection of the dovin basal activities to operate as a shield for the massive living ship. The bridge commander's violet eye sacks inflamed. With a nod the to the Yuuzhan Vong tending to mabugat-kan on the ships, the Yuuzhan Vong began targeting the enemy fleet's larger ships with the mabugat-kan which would absorb and consume any HoloNet communications that are sent leaving the fleet hopefully completely unable to communicate with each other.
"ADVANCE! Bring the Vua'Spar to the front, and have our Yorik-Vek, Grutchen Carriers, and Yorik-Slayers prepare for assault!" The Yuuzhan Vong commodore grunted, and within mere moments the living fleet was advancing closer towards the enemy fleets. "Have the Ro'ik chuun m'arh use their dovin basals to create a gravity well, we want them unable to move out of the system and flee!"
The energy within all the ships could be felt, the Yuuzhan Vong were waiting for a moment like this. The attack on Varonat had been a quick and brutal affair, something Dread Lord Tzu was not usually commanding. This however was what their leader had trained them for, strategic victory for the Empire. As the fleet moved into a more appropriate position so that they could be almost within firing range of the yorik-kor it loomed in wait. They would need the effective help from the Praetorite fleet, the trap had been laid for the enemies, only time would tell if they took the bait.

*E'thinaga watches as the first volley is deflected by the vong tech. This was the problem with engaging the vong. They had weapons and life tech that would make combat almost ineffectual until the ships could directly engage at shorter distances. The key was being able to bring overwhelming force and numbers down on one ship at a time at close range. The problem was of course being able to survive long enough to engage the vong up close and personal where the shots would all count.*
E'thinaga ::Vengeance and War Claw pick up the rate of fire with your LRHTLs but save the missiles until the vong are to close for their gravity wells to deflect our missiles.:: "Ensign X'eel order the swarm droids to cover our front. They are to protect the Vengeance and War Claw at all costs!"
Ensign X'eel "Orders transmitting sir!"
*The Vengeance and War Claw Increase their rate of fire firing all LRHTLs at full power and rate hoping to land at least a few shots on the lead Vua'Spar, meanwhile the swarm Class battle droids moved into a defensive posture prepared to intercept any fighters attempting to attack the two long range cruisers.*

*A crackle of static comes across the comline and E'thinaga realizes with dread that the Vong's Mabugat-kan had now come into range and was jamming all frequencies. E'thinaga turns to his bridge crew.*
E'thinaga "Prepare all D'kee Shuttles and have them be prepared to work as curriers between our ships until this battle is over!"
*In the hangar bay of the "Pride of Lwhekk" 3 D'kee Shuttles launch and proceed to the War Claw, Psalm, and Vengeance alerting their captains to the loss of coms. Shortly afterwards the "Psalm of Egg" moves around to the dark side of Alzoc 3. Being simply a carrier with very very limited offensive capabilities her orders were to remain out of harms way. Should the battle go sour she was to use her lightning fast engines to withdraw to Anoth and link up with the small LPOP there and attempt to avoid any more conflict with the YV.*

Onboard the advanced Matalok the War Leader watched the attack and shift of the enemies ships. It looked like they had gone to a courier based communications system...those would have to be eliminated. He observed one ship moving about to the other side of the planet... perhaps to escape to some unknown location and spread the word about the Yuuzhan Vong...or perhaps preparing a surprise playing the part of a wounded and weak animal... No matter, he had studied Ssi-Ruu...he may not be as studied as Supreme Commander Krazhmir, but he was competent enough.
Shai Commander, follow my lead. Bring your ships in line, steep v formation point forwards, close enough that the stern ships can aid the ones in front with shielding singularities, and prepare to launch grutchins to go to darkspace towards the enemy fleet and drop the interdiction field. Launch what fighters you have and hold them in the shadow of the vee, protected by your capital ships.
The Matalok started launching its fighters, the Matalok wagged first one way, and then another, concealing the flank that was launching its tiny yorik'te and larger yorik-slayers and yorik-nu fighters, hiding them from the enemies sensors as to where they had truly come from. The Six yorik slayers moved out, heading down away from the fleet, each accelerating as fast as a typical coralskipper would, even though they were capable of much more. After the fighters had been launched and were in the protected lee of the larger ships, the Matalok turned in line with the Shai Fleet, forming up as the tip of the spear, and bringing its dovin basals attention to the front of the ship.

*Another flurry of courier shuttles and the Imperium fleet changed formation. The "Pride of Lwhekk" Shifted all shields to the front portion of the ship. Surrounding the ship at the front was the 50 Swarm class Battle Droids prepared to intercept any fighters or even enemy fire. This creating a wall of fighters leading the Ssi-ruu Attack. The "Pride" Brashly locks course with the Lead Matalok and begins to advance. The "War Claw" moves into a position directly in the "Pride's" shadow while the "Vengeance" agles above the "Pride" In order to maintain a surpessive fire with her 10 LRHTs engaging the lead Matalok with a withering fire. Both Fleets began to apprach TurboLaser and Yaret-Kor range.*

The commodore aboard the Vua'Spar issued commands for the fleet to follow suit the orders that had been issued from Esthh's ships. Within the shadow of the "V" formation that continued to loom towards the enemy fleet, the various fightercrafter and smaller support craft lay in wait. The commodore from under the cognition hood, was preparing to issue orders that once the enemy ships were within range of the yaret-kor, that fire would need to be concentrated on the vessels that were passing back and forth from ship to ship. The interdiction field was dropped, and from within the shadow of the newly formed "V" 8 of the Grutchin Carriers moved foward with the cover of several Yorik-Slayers before launching several of the Grutchin's that they carried (3 from each; 24 in all). Once the Grutchin had been launched, the fightercraft would move back towards the center of the "V". We have launched some of our Grutchin, and can launch more once we move closer to the enemy. We will follow your lead, the interdiction field has been dropped. For the Yun'o and the glory of the Yuuzhan Vong!*Another flurry of courier shuttles and the Imperium fleet changed formation. There was only two of them, but they were able to fire from a greater distance than the standard yaret-kor and do a substantially greater amount of damage than them as well. The shots were aimed at what appeared to be the two primary ships of the enemy fleet.
The Yorik-Stronha that had fallen to the very back of the "V" shape invading force were running constant scans, while the Grutchin Carriers had move to the forefront with several of the Yorik-Slayers. The Yorik-Vec in the center of the fighter and support craft forces within the structures of the "V" formation. The Vua'Spar and Ro'ik chuun m'arh, were prepared to unleash all of their fire power.

The ship master onboard the Matalok narrowed his eyes at the enemies movements. It did not make sense for a defending force of larger ships to come out to meet an aggressor...
He mentally commanded a more detailed view of the onrushing ships. The eyes and other sensors onboard the ship called the enemy ships into close view for his inspection, turning them this way and that as much as could be seen. They followed the line of Ssi-Ruuk ships that he had seen before, but were much more massive, heavier hull plating and weaponry, but few if any launch ports for fighters or capture bays. Ahh...the ships were meant for ship to ship combat rather than carriers. A radical departure from traditional thinking...had the P'w'eck damaged them that badly? A Ssi-ruu wouldnt risk its soul away from a consecrated homeworld...but what if instead it was crewed primarily by soul powered droids? A possible reason as to why they would risk direct combat. What if they were that desperate or weak? Could they be damaged or incomplete and trying to bluff? They had never directly engaged Yuuzhan Vong ships before, but perhaps they had recovered some data or recordings of previous battles within the invasion corridor. Why were their so few of the fighters controlled by tortured souls? Were they so confident that they could win? It was a possibility. Perhaps a combination of reasons. Their egg like shape would give them an advantage if they managed to get inside a fleet... but what about those ports? It made no sense to have so few fighters deployed when they could easily soften up an enemy before engaging with ones more expensive ships... Missile tubes? His eyes widened at that possibility, looking more closely at their arrangement on the hulls of the approaching ships. Yes...yes they did seem to be patterned for armament rather than fighter launch ports. If it were indeed true that those were missile ports, it could be serious trouble if they got within range...
Shai Commander, fire all Yaret-kor in or out of range, put as much ejecta moving towards the enemy fleet as possible, fill the skies with material, they may be heavily armed with missile weaponry, if we can coat their shields in cooling magma, they will be unable to see or fire their weapons without risking a premature explosion inside their own shields. Any other material will act to confuse and intercept weapons that make a successful launch, and break up or destroy their fighter screen. When our two fleets are close to passing, we shall dive under them, and have your Vua'spar's use their interdiction dovin basals to grab the lead ship, and pull it into the path of the one below and behind it. We will disrupt their formation before they realize what is happening.
With their greater acceleration the Yorik-Slayers reached their positions, creating a quarter crescent formation spread over a great distance, one of each pair put itself between its companion and the enemy fleet. The one being shielded, began to spin rapidly, engaging its larger than normal dovin basals to create an intense if somewhat localized gravity well. At the same time the Yorik-nu, concealed from sight and common sensors dove towards them, accelerating quickly, diving steeply into the gravity well of the first link, picking up tremendous velocity and slingshotting away towards the second pair of Yorik-Slayers in the link, picking up even more speed. After the Yorik-nu had completed the first manuver, the remaining Yorik-Slayers, six, also began their dive away from the fleet, leading the fifty tiny Yorik-te behind them.
The matalok swiveled its advanced yaret-kor and unleashed its stronger than normal superheated plasma projectiles, the older cousins of which were first seen on the vessels piloted by Shimraa's Slayers. The ship's advanced Yammosk started pulsing out its rythms, guiding the fleet and suggesting coordinating moves and fields of fire, maximizing its efficiency in a way better than even a battle analysis computer, being able to directly contact, and feed information directly to each of its brood, rather than through time delayed controllers.
The ship master watched to see what the next step in the deadly dance would be.

Understood.
The fleet under the command of the Dread Lord Shai, began to open up fire. With both of the heavy yorik-kors of the Vua'Spar firing upon what could assumed to be the flag ship (Skar'lak-Class Destroyer) as well as a total of 20 combined yorik-kors from them firing upon the same ship Tzu's men hoped to follow the advice of their brethren that they received through the villips. The commodore aboard one of the Vua'Spar signalled for the various fighter craft within the arrow shaped formation to move into a formation that would create a net of Yorik-Slayers, with the Grutchen carriers afterwards, and finally the Yorik-Vec covering the rear of the formation.
The remaining twenty yorik-kor from the Vua'Spar fired upon the two Drech'nacth. The Ro'ik chuun m'arh each focused their 30 yorik-kor upon the Drech'nach however due to the range distance the shots were somewhat scattered. The commodore sent various commands that Yorik-Stronha would were to continue to scan the system, and gather further information regarding any ion trails as well as possible other fleet activity that may have taken place recently over the planet of Alzoc III.

On Board the Spirit of Lwhekk *Ethinaga watched from the deck as the yorik-kor rounds cooled and, for the most part, slowed creating a wall of hot, but rapidly cooling, debris. However several of the Heavy yorik-kor rounds maintied momentum and closed on the Flagship and Ethinaga knew he had only moments to react, while the heavy yorik-kor rounds were not leathal to his ship at this point a direct hit from any would drop his shields rapidly and his planned manuver, made all the more diffucult by the wall of slower moving yorik-kor rounds, required the "Pride" to have as much power as possible.*
Ethinaga "HARD TO PORT! Cut main engines! Rear port thrusters and and front starboard thrusters at max! Prepare to push the mains back up to 100%! ALL HANDS BRACE FOR IMPACT!"
*The "Pride" Shuddered and creaked as the G forces pulled hard on her through this risky manuver however it wasnt enough to avoid the first Heavy yorik-kor shot which clipped the shields and had enough force to send those few ruuvi who hadnt braced for the impact slamming to the deck. On Ethinaga's call the main enignes roared back to life now placing the pride on a route Perpendicular to the advancing Vong.*
"Pride of Lwhekk" Shields: 83% Hull Integrity: 94%
E'thinaga "All Starboard turbolasers fire! All starboard Missile launchers use pre planned missile guidence and have the missiles arc around that wall of rubble hopefully we shall strike the capital ships on the other side! "
*55 Duel turbolasers fire into the mass of rubble more to add to the confusion than anything, while the 33 Missile tubes launched a volley of 10 proton torpedoes, 20 Consussion missiles, and 3 Heavy rockets, on their way all 33 angling to swing around the debris field*
