Bradley set the small ship down on a landing pad near the senate building. He zipped up his sleeveless waistcoat before opening the cockpit and stepped out of the ship. Leaving R3 to watch over the ship, he began walking towards the senate building, his long strides making quick work of the already short distance between the landing pad and the building. He looked up at it, taking in the statues at the entrance and the perfect curvature of the dome. Looking at this building reminded him of those old photos grandfather had, and of the stories he told him, about how many years ago, there had been a Republic that had led the galaxy, creating peace, prosperity, and freedom to all within its borders. That peace was enforced by the Jedi, an ancient order that had connected wit the Force to grant them otherworldly powers Then, or so grandpa had said, came the Clone Wars, in which those same Jedi fought alongside the clone army, that those same clones had massacred the Jedi, and a tyrannical empire took its place. He shook his head. Those stories told of the heroic exploits of the old Jedi. He was part of a new generation, and in any case, he had a meeting to get ready for. He entered the senate building, relishing the cool air on his exposed arms. He decided that he would reminisce on the past later, as for now, he had the future to look forward to.

Bradley walked along one of the main roads, unbuttoning his waistcoat as he went, for he felt uncomfortable with it closed, especially on such a warm day. The downside was that his well-toned muscles showed, drawing more than a few stares. He reached his ship and hopped aboard it, ignoring said stares. He closed the cockpit and fired up the engines, launching him, his droid, and his ship into orbit.

The yacht set down on one of the landing pads in a more exclusive area of the shuttleport. In this part, one could see many luxury yachts, shuttles, and large starships. The space was adorned with fountains, and a soft light entered the space through skylights set into the roof, bathing the room in the soft, pink light of evening. Quickly going out to the small area that was reserved for airspeeders, a small executive shuttle was on standby for him. As soon as he boarded, and several porters assisted in loading his luggage, the small shuttle raced off, towards one of the largest structures in the city. This was one of the most premier hotels on the planet. Having rented out the penthouse, several droids immediately cane forth to assist with moving all his luggage to the room. The room was quite impressive, complete with a bar, a sunken sitting area, complete with a large holoscreen that covered the majority of the wall, displaying various images of planets and star clusters and such, a spacious bedroom, a bathroom with all the things needed to live life in the lap of luxury, and a conference room, in lieu of how this space was designed for executives visiting the planet. Sitting on the bar was a bottle of bourbon whiskey, a drinking glass, ice, and a full meal, which was still hot. Instead of heading here first, however, he looked around for cameras that would be in place. Spotting them immediately (this was, after all, not a military installation, and no attempt was made to hide them), he placed several of his suitcases and such in just a manner so that they were blocked. After this, he went into the conference room and placed down the last two remaining cases in here. These were completely made of metal, and had the emblem of the Galactic Alliance lightly stencilled on to it. Pressing a button on one of them, , optical sensors in both read his eyes and then both popped open. In one, he had his custom made armor, and in the other, his longblaster. The case with the longblaster had a small hologram projector built into it; activating it revealed a holoprojection detailing his orders. Upon deactivating the hologram, t wiped itself from the system. The message read:“Greetings, Operative Richter. This message is confidential, and as such, is for your eyes only. This message details your mission. Your primary objective is to coordinate efforts with the Quarren rebels to fight against the Galactic Alliance. Your secondary missions are (a), secure valuable intelligence about Galactic Alliance defenses, and ( possibly sabotage said defenses if the opportunity presents itself. These are your final orders, do not deciate in any way. Further questions can not be answered once you are reading this message. End message. Data appended; the location of the Galactic Alliance Senate, the Galactic Alliance Military Complex, and the Quarren Rebels hideaway. This message will now destroy itself. The message vanished, and in its place came a map of Foamwander City. As the message said, appended to this map was the military base, the senate, and the sumersible docks. Of course, the Quarren Rebels were underwater, their location could only be accessed through his submursible. After this, he carefully closed the boxes again and hid them away, before sitting down to eat his food and drink his whiskey, before falling allying down to sleep.

The next day, Richter had dressed in something slightly more casual, as he was going for a walk through the city, taking mental notes on defenses, street plans, et cetera. As he walked through the city, it was evident that the Galactic Alliance was pouring everything they had into defending this world. Military transports buzzed overhead, soldiers patrolled the streets, identity checks were being enforced; it was as though this was now a military state. And to tell the truth, it had become one, for as the power of the nation itself withered and died, the army had won the popular support of the people, and now they would have about as much say as the Senate in how people’s lives were lived. The Jedi Triumvir had long since abandoned them, and they were forced to make decisions for security. Hell, around the city, there were a number of barricades set up, complete with tripods ready fo mount heavy repeating blasters, ready to repel any First Order Lansing forces. He had, of course, carried his blaster pistol strapped to the inside of his jacket in a concealed pouch, though he did carry a sporting blaster pistol at the hip, just for the sake of his disguise. The citizens of this part of the city seemed to be doing well for themselves, as they were the rich and powerful. In this part of the city, soldiers were few, and people milled about. It was lunch time, and the distinct sound of laughter and the clinking of glass could be heard from the various resteraunts around the area. In the areas not reserved for the rich however, the security threat remained to be seen. He would have to prepare a mission to scout these areas at a later date. Stopping in to one of the many resteraunts, he ordered a meal, a drink of water, and sat down to observe those around him. They seemed happy, though they could clearly tell that the Firstborn Order had them by the throat. He sat there, just waiting, knowing that if there were any contacts of the Empire on this planet, they would find their way to here. After all, there was an ex-Imperial here as the bartender. Imperials like staying amongst their own, so they would find heir way here.

Post by Linuy Findos on Aug 31, 2018 1:56:20 GMT -8
Days after her brief visit within the Outer Rim territories, Senator Linuy Findos was escorted by six of their most trusted bodyguards through the slums of Foamwander City in order to meet with Neimoidian refugees, as she usually tends to do within her spare time. Being dressed within the traditional uniform of Neimoidian guards, the so-called Garhai Guard marched next to the noble descendant of House Findos as traditional household guards tend to do, wielding in one hand their electrostaff like some sort of ceremonial spear, whereas on their back a scoped rifle, featuring a bayonet, could be spotted. On their belts they wore like the Senator a SonoMax 75-sonic pistol, although Linuy prefered to hid the weapon under her robes in order to look like a harmless target. Yet there was no reason for the Neimoidian woman to feel threatened at the moment, as her bodyguard would even be able to protect her from a single force user, if they had to. The chance of encountering such a threat seemed to be quite low within the heart of the Galactic Alliance.
Eventually the small group would arrive at the little mansion, which belonged to the successful salesman Din Maggi, a Neimoidian aristocrat, who had amassed wealth by the production of textiles, fabricated by Neimoidian hands on Mon Calamari as well. Although she trusted in the credibility of his buiseness, as the workers were well paid, Findos had heard recently though, that Maggi seemed to be also involved into illegal spice trade with the Hutts from time to time - yet that wasn't of her concern as she knocked at the door of the traditional house in style of the Neimoidian architecture. After all she was here for politics as usual. The door was opened by a service droid shortly and the party was lead into the solar of the mansion, where Maggi was already waiting for the Senator. "Ah Senator Findos", he said in Pak-Pak, the Neimoidian's main language next to Basic, "Come, take a place while we shall dine like the Viceroys of old time used to do! Take the seat over here, so we have a better look on the pond outside." Without any word she thankfully accepted the invitation, while doing as her host told her to. While the guardsmen remained as they were, always keeping an eye out for potential trouble, more service droids appeared to serve Findos and Maggi simple dishes, which were famous within the Neimoidian colonies. Although the meals weren't as excellently cooked, as Maggi claimed them to be, they nontheless tasted well. "I thank you once more for your hospitality, my friend", the Senator said after a while in her thin, nearly accent-free voice once she had tasted the meal that was served to her, "As you might know though, I did not merely came for a visit for the sakes of family traditions among our caste. I was recently in the Outer Rim undercover. The Separatist movement is dying, as expected." The merchant looked up with a slight frown, obviously being angered by the thought of Gulch's betrayal still. "So the Harch has sent former men of the Alliance to die in a pointless conflict, I see", he merely commented while sipping from a cup of tea, "Not that I am surprised after I heard of my brother's death. Idealistic, proud, fanatic - I always thought that Nat was ambitious when it came to his career and fighting for the freedom of our homeworld. Yet I could only shake my head, when he told me, that he had abbandoned the Galactic Alliance in order to join up with the Confederacy. Captain of a ship, he said back then. A Lucrehulk is as good as a MonCal cruiser, he said to me back then. Few months later his death in fleet combat was reported to me. They clashed with the Rodian Navy when Gulch tried to chase after their senator, while useing a political plot as an excuse to annex Rodia. And that wasn't even the First Order - this was an independent planet!" He formed with his left hand a fist while trying to relax. Feeling his anger, Linuy held his hand briefly, as she understood his struggle. Many of the few hundred Neimoidian refugees on Mon Calamari witnessed similiar stories within their own families. "Forgive me for opening up a fresh wound as this wasn't my intention, Din", she said apologizing, while looking him honest into the eyes, "I had to tell you, as it makes me worried about the future. The new Confederacy isn't the only group, which has abbandoned the cause of the Alliance. Others are rumored to have returned to their homeworlds in effort to fight on their own against the might of the First Order, as they think similiar like us. They don't think that the Senate will be able to make actual decisions when it comes to weakening the First Order. And they haven't forgotten the recent battles. And neither the losses. While we discuss, our strength is dwindling wheras the Imperials and their allies grow more powerful. I see it every day during the senate debates, that the halls have become emptier over the last weeks and that there are no clear results. We face an internal problem and I don't know what to do in order to prevent it. If it will continiue like this, I fear for the worst of the Galactic Alliance." Maggi nodded, thinking carefully about her words. He clearly understood her concerns, as he wasn't blind either. "So, how can I help you then?", Maggi asked with his usual buiseness voice, although Findos knew that he wouldn't offer her a bad deal - the family ties of Neimoidian aristocrat families were in exile stronger than one would assume on the actual homeworld, "I presume you wish me to set up contacts with trustworthy men, inside and outside the Galactic Alliance." "More than that, Maggi", Linuy spoke up concerned, "I need loyal men this time. Men, who believe in the ideals of the Alliance and in the ideals of liberation. No more Separatists, no more bargains for the interests of few individuals within the Alliance, we need to recruit loyalists, who fight not for us, but for the Alliance."

The battle over Mon Calamari was all but won. With assurances from Fleet Admiral Arcavius, the Emperor handed over command of his fleets to the two Grand Admirals and his Fleet Admiral. From there, many kinds of transport were launched with fighter escorts; transports carrying troops, vehicles, and logistics for the upcoming sack of Foamwander City. Among the transports, Nicademus stood with a cadre of Stormtroopers and Imperial Knights. Following him were transports holding the royal regiments of the Emperor's Talons, commanded by Foresi, Commander Valen and the Braxant Legionnaires, and Faina Nikulin and other Imperial Knights. They were also joined by the Mandalorians of Clan Bralor.
As they began their speedy approach, smoke was already rising over the city as bombing runs commenced and fighters strafed the ground. Nicademus glances out the viewport of his transport, seeing the first of the Imperial regiments landing and make straight for the city's interior. He then proceeds to the cockpit and points ahead of them.
Pilot, put us down in the capital district. Signal for the other transports following us to do the same.
The pilot nods and proceeds to follow these orders. Soon, a series of transports began to land, unloading the most hardened core of the Imperial forces present for the land engagement. Nicademus disembarked with his soldiers. The Emperor was dressed in a black armor, forged by Panno, the weapon master of the Imperial Knights. An F-11D blaster rifle was in his hands. Already, his soldiers fanned out to secure the landing area. They were soon joined by thousands of others, including the full armored complement of the Braxant Legionnaires, numbering some sixty walkers and around fifty some forms of tanks. The Emperor watches as a pair of Gorilla Walkers were deployed. Today was to be the momentous achievement of his Empire.
Today, the Galactic Alliance would die.

The first to drop down to the ground once the LAAT/i she and her fellow Shadowtroopers, members of the battalion she leads which was christened by their Emperor as the Emperor's Talons, rode down from orbit, Lieutenant Colonel Nicolina Foresi adjusts the sling of her DLT-19 to hold the heavy blaster rifle in a patrol ready position as she turns to watch her Shadowtroopers disembark from the gunship and begin smoothly deploying for their assigned positions, or out for the tasks she has assigned them.
Her RTO, PV2 Eiko Mori is among the first troopers to exit the LAAT, and, after informing her that their battalion lost two LAAT's in orbit to enemy fire, begins relaying to Nicolina the reports already beginning to come in from the battalion's company commanders. Shadow Scout Troopers and forward observers, among the first of her battalion to deploy further into the capital district to begin locating enemy troop, vehicle, artillery and other strategically important positions or targets to relay them to LAAT's and other vehicles which will be conducting surgical air strikes to pave the way for the First Order's advance, to company commanders and the First Order walkers and tanks being deployed at the Emperor's command, further ensuring that the First Order's attack is as swift, sure, and thorough as possible.
Tasking Eiko with ensuring that the intel coming in from the battalion's scouts and forward observers is relayed quickly to the appropriate personnel, Nicolina moves over to where 1LT Anika Solberg, one of her platoon commanders, is issuing orders to the Shadowtroopers under her command. Sitrep, Nicolina says once she reaches Solberg, who she assigned to the task of providing additional security for the Emperor, who is already well protected by Imperial Knights, Mandalorians from Clan Bralor and his own personal guard.
Achari and his squad are moving ahead, responsible for nine to twelve, Solberg replies after a quick salute, Simon and her squad are on twelve to three, and Gosse's squad will be acting as rearguard.
Nodding, Nicolina pats Solberg on the shoulder and says, Have 'em report in to you often, let me know if things start looking like you'll need additional support.
After Solberg has ensured her that she understands the importance of her platoon's task, Nicolina heads over to where the Emperor is watching the beginning of the end of the Galactic Alliance, saluting him and then informing him, My scouts and forward observers have been deployed, m'lord, and are already reporting in on enemy positions to facilitate our advance. Looking overhead as a a trio of LAAT's bearing the insignia of the Emperor's Talons streak by on their way to make an attack run on a fortified enemy position that her scouts have located, Nicolina asks, Do you have any additional orders for me at this time, m'lord?

From the air, to Katsumi, Foamwander City looks like a large Mon Calamari battle ship that has fallen from the stars above and now floats upon the sea, smoke already beginning to pour through entry points and hangar bays in the city's outer shell. When the battle in orbit had neared its end, with the fleet of the soon to be deceased Galactic Alliance fitfully thrashing about in its death throes, Katsumi had boarded a Xi-class light shuttle and piloted it down to Foamwander City so that she could continue to contribute to the demise of the Galactic Alliance.
After piloting the shuttle into one of the entry points in the city's outer shell, Katsumi takes it down to where the main portion of the embattled city, located beneath the surface of the ocean, lays sprawled out, First Order and Mandalorian forces beginning to advance upon the city to root out and slay the last vestiges of the Galactic Alliance. Setting the shuttle down atop a building in the middle of the city, Katsumi walks down the boarding ramp and stops, standing still and throwing her head back and closing her eyes beneath her black, skull shaped mask like a beast scenting the air. Able to sense the dying hopes of the Alliance's soldiers, the crushing realization that they are doomed sinking into their minds, the panic or futile anger they feel as the fist of the First Order begins to close in on them to crush them all out, Katsumi savors their despair, impotent fury, and mounting panic, drinking it in to fuel her contribution to the demise of the Alliance.
Once she feels the power of the Dark Side filling her, strengthening her, Katsumi lowers her head and then throws it back once more, now like a beast that, having scented its prey, roars forth its challenge. The roar is silent, telepathically honed and cast out into the minds and hearts of the Alliance's soldiers; a roar that promises them all that the end draws nigh for each and every one of them, a raw, primal cry that chillingly promises that there is no escaping the inevitability of that ending.
Katsumi smiles beneath her mask as, her head still cast back as she maintains her telepathic assault and relishes what she can sense of its effects as it begins to spread and grow among the Alliance troops that will soon be crushed beneath the heel of the First Order.

Remaining near Nicademus after they have all disembarked from the transport that bore them into Foamwander City's capital district, Faina taps the hilt of her lightsaber, held in her right hand, against her leg absently as she narrows her blue-grey eyes and studies the scene around and before them while simultaneously calling on the Force to elevate and expand her awareness beyond that which her senses alone can provide. With the five Praetorians ever at his side, and the additional protection provided by the Shadowtroopers, Stormtroopers and Mandalorians, Nicademus is not likely to find his safety threatened in any way at any point, but Faina assumes a poised, vigilant, and ready frame of mind all the same.
Using her left hand to signal for the Imperial Knights she has selected to join her in protecting Nicademus, Faina sends Nilda Maly, a female Lorrdian with a light olive complexion and a mane of inky black dreadlocks tied back in a ponytail, to watch over the Emperor's right flank, and then motions for Konstantyn Nowak, a blonde haired and beared male Nish with green eyes, to do so on the left flank. Other Imperial Knights, chosen to link up with Stormtrooper or Mandalorian units moving out to face the Alliance forces in the city, exit their transports and begin manuevering as Faina continues to stand sentinel near to the Emperor.

Elsewhere in the city, a large explosion shook a hangar containing the Defiant. Unfortunately for its ambitious captain, it had taken a direct hit from enemy attacks right at the onset of the battle, and so it had been forced down to the city. Closer examination revealed extensive damage to the engines, and work had begun right away. Even as ominous explosions boomed in the distance, work continued on the ship to make it battle ready. Its crew was forced to conduct repairs themselves with minimal assistance, with most personnel busy manning defenses. This explosion, however, seemed far closer than the others. Lucien, worries as to the potential for them to take off soon, called to his chief engineer. The engineer in question stood atop the oversized engines of the ship, conducting repairs on the lines that connected reactors to the engines themselves. He poked his head over the edge of the engine upon hearing Lucien's shouting.
"How does it look in there? How soon will we be able to take off?"
Should be about... hm... ten minutes I think! Soon, at any rate.
Not fully content with this answer, Lucien at first thought to press further, but then decided against it, rationalizing that the engineer would be better suited to fixing the ship up then answering his badgering. However, suddenly, there was an even louder explosion, which visibly shook the hangar, knocking parts and crates to the floor and causing a handful of soldiers who were not paying attention to be knocked to their knees, though they quickly recovered. Lucien gave an exasperated sigh before grabbing his rifle from the wall and checking its chamber for any leftover blaster gas. The last thing he needed was a jam in the firing mechanism. Suddenly, a soldier careened into the hangar, panting and out of breath, visually shaken up.
The fleet has been destroyed! There are First Order forces landing in the city!
"Damn it, what is that idiot doing up there?! Boys, we're going to have company!"
Immedeately, the doors leading out of the hangar were locked down and the soldiers who had not been tasked by the crew to fix something ran to the corridor leading to the single door, pushing crates, carts, and boxes to form makeshift cover to hide behind, aiming their rifles at the door. Lucien shouted at the engineers to hurry, before climbing the ramp to the ship and beginning the Defiant for takeoff, switching on everything that wasn't the engine that the engineers were working on. Halfway through the procedure, he heard a loud hiss before a large explosion blew the reinforced door in. There was silence in the hangar for a moment, before suddenly, a hail of red laser fire began pelting the soldiers by the door. Returning fire, light blue projectiles threaded through the sea of red, finding marks on the white armor of the stormtroopers who were beginning to storm into the hangar. Getting on the intercom, he shouted at the engineers.
"We need to take off now!"
But we haven't completed our repairs! At best, the engine will hold for ten minutes of sustained power!
"We're going to die either way, at least if we take off we have a chance of getting out of this one. Get back onto the ship!"
The engineer sighed, questioning how he got stuck with such a reckless, impulsive captain, before ordering the other engineers to get back into the ship. The soldiers, hearing this exchange, fired an explosive round into the ceiling of the corridor, destroying the light grey metal and collapsing the entrance to the hangar before climbing aboard the ship as well. The ramp sealing up behind them as they spilled into the small deployment area, the ships crew rushed onto the bridge. However, they suddenly realized that they hadn't opened the hangar doors. Lucien cursed his luck, grabbed a blaster, disengaged its safety, and opened the small service entrance leading onto the catwalk that contained the switch that opened the hangar. Racing across it, he saw out of his peripheral vision that smoke was rising from the degree clogging the entrance. The stormtroopers were cutting through. Clearly, there wasn't much time remaining. His boots clanging against the cold, dark metal, he reached the massive emergency opening sequence switch in the wall with no incident. Pulling it down with all his might, he felt the muscles in his arms and back strain to move the large switch which was intended for two people to use. Finally pulling it down, he watched as the massive, orange peel hangar doors shuddered and slid away, revealing the scene above. Groups of fighters darted between the spires on Foamwander City, as dark clouds of smoke punctured the rainy skies. Groups of black painted LAATs and First Order landers descended upon the city in swarms, like insects tearing into flesh, destroying hangars, dropping troops, and generally causing mayhem. From the clouds was falling a large MC80 cruiser, which effectively sounded the death knell for the Alliance fleet. Now all that could be done was to rescue as many civilians as possible and to retreat, live to fight another day. Racing back aboard the ship, he loosed off a few shots at the stormtroopers who were beginning to enter the hangar once again after cutting through the metal. Sealing up the door behind him, he shouted for the crew to launch the ship as he slung his rifle on the back of his command chair and then sat down in it. The roar of the massive engines could be heard as flame engulfed the hangar. Normally, the ship should have been launched with magnets, but there was no time for that now. The crates, stormtroopers, munitions, and corpses left behind in the hangar went up in flames as the cruiser launched violently from the city, leaving behind a smoke trail, and hurtled towards the stars above. Rain streaked across the viewports of the ship as it ruptured the skies, quickly clearing the spires of the city. Five thousand meters, ten thousand meters, fifteen thousand meters. The crew kept making callouts of altitude, fuel, and engine status as they climbed past the clouds, then the atmosphere, and finally into space...

Some of his battalion commanders, leading the Mando'ade of Clan Bralor pre-selected by Nicademus to join with the First Order troops participating in the initial advance upon Foamwander City, are already reporting in that they have made contact and are engaged with Alliance forces in the city when Faelan joins Lieutenant Foresi, Grandmaster Nikulin and the other commanders gathering around the Emperor to await their orders.
Looking up to watch as a Sabertooth-class Assault vessel trailing smoke behind it as it emerges from somewhere in the city and makes for one of the egress points in the city's outer shell, Faelan drums his fingers against the barrel of his A280 blaster rifle, currently held in a sling ready position, and then turns when Fionnuala Priest, one of his platoon commanders, steps up beside him. Have your platoon establish a perimeter around the Emperor's position, Faelan tells Fionnuala in Mando'a, and wait for further orders.
As Fionnuala begins ordering the Mando'ade under her command into position, Faelan moves closer to Nicademus, the comm chatter being continuously relayed to his buy'ce keeping him apprised of the battle's progress and enabling him to issue orders as appropriate to his battalion commanders.

Nicademus, once the perimeter was secured, moves towards a command vehicle, a hovercraft that had been outfitted with stronger shielding and good defensive measures. Within the vehicle stood those senior commanders that were there physically and holoimages of those fighting elsewhere. The Emperor stands at the front of a long table, designed with a holomap. After the commanders gave their formal greetings to His Majesty, the meeting began.
Sitrep, give me all the intel we have.
=General Julan Zeorg= Army Group North has met stiff resistance around the major spaceport. However, it is a desperate defense. Our ground observers have seen various transports and shuttles leaving. Likely getting Galactic Alliance personnel off-world, Your Majesty.
Call in necessary air support to keep them grounded. Ensure you alert the fleet of these developments.
General Zeorg bows his head before another begins to speak.
=General Leothius Numeri= Army Group South has penetrated into civilian areas. Little to no resistance. We have been sweeping the buildings for explosives and hidden units. After that, we will swing north to cut off any reinforcements to the rear of the main government district.
Nicademus gives the nod of his head to General Numeri. Then Marshal Baltasar speaks.
=Marshal Baltasar Delvardus=
Your Majesty, reports from Army Group Center indicate that we are ahead of the main resistance line of the Galactic Alliance Armed Forces. We have begun to deploy General Tarion Tao-ni and Third Legion to land just to the east of our position and begin the encirclement. Aerial recon has revealed strong defensive positions within the government district. Expect strong resistance.
Nicademus waves his hand over the map, bringing in a zoomed in image of the central district that was to be the target of his personal force. His eyes move around, examining what recon had revealed and discovered by their various flybys. His troops would need to be allocated accordingly.
Commander Faelan Bralor, you and your Mandalorian units will approach from the North and proceed to what recon believes is a power grid. I want it shut down before we penetrate the main government building. Likely it is the main supply to their automated defenses. Commander Foresi, you and the Emperor's Talons will strike south. It seems they have an armory and barracks. Destroy them both. Your units will rendezvous with my unit before our main push.
His eyes look over at Faina Nikulin.
Imperial Knights will join my unit. However, if Commander Bralor or Foresi desire their support, allocate to them a reasonable number that should suffice. Braxant Legionnaires will make the main push for the government complex. Armored units will move forward first to punch through. If any neighboring units need armored support, contact me or Marshal Delvardus. Air support, call Fleet Admiral Arcavius.

After receiving her orders, Nicolina salutes Nicademus and then, figuring one can never know when a Forcie or two might come in handy, heads over to Faina and, guessing that she will want to stick close to Nic, asks, Any chance you can spare me one or two of your Knights? I promise to do my best to return 'em in the same condition I get 'em, she jokes even though there is no way to promise such a thing.
After the matter of the Knights is settled, Nicolina reviews the map of the city displayed in the upper corner of her HUD to see where her battalion commanders that had participated in the initial advance are while their reports are coming in over her internal comms to let her know how they are faring, and then tells Eiko to have the commanders that she has decided will be joining her in the campaign to take out the armory and barracks meet her at the staging area where the battalion's LAATs set down. Her review of the tactical map, continuously updated as reports from First Order and Mandalorian forward observers come in, suggests to Nicolina that she'll need some rolling armor if she doesn't want to take heavy losses given the concentration of Alliance forces around her targets. As she reaches Noemi's LAAT, which she will be hitching a ride on, Nicolina has Eiko reach out to the commander of a tank company nearest to her targets to request he lend her a tank platoon, or two if he can spare them.
The flight to the initial rallying point is predictably uneventful, the walkers and troops that made the initial push into the city having done their job well. Not one to lead from the rear, Nicolina sends four platoons out to move covertly to encircle the targets, taking personal command of the two platoons that will be making the frontal approach to draw the attention of the troops defending the armory and barracks.
PFC Gulzar 83, a male Khommite Shadow Scout trooper, deployed as one of her forward observers, had reported in his sighting of an Alliance tank unit dug into position on a street approaching the barracks and armory, and so as Nicolina gives the order to advance, she has a trio of LAATs head out to make an attack run. The attack run is only partially successful, two of the enemy tanks getting off missle shots that take down one LAAT and damage another. Nicolina sends a squad out to rescue the surviving crew of the downed LAAT as she presses the advance, which proves slow going until one of the First Order tanks accompanying her troops manages to take out the last of the enemy tanks.
Ordering her troops to hold their positions once they have taken out the Alliance forces that had been with the tank unit, Nicolina sends out squads to provide security for their position and then waits for the platoon leaders that are maneuvering to encircle their targets to reach their objectives, using the brief lull to allow her troops to tend to their injuries, perform weapons and ammunition checks, and prepare for the final push forward to take out their targets.

Acknowledging the Emperor's orders with a bow, Faelan wastes no time in preparing to carry them out. Ordering Ver'alor Priest to have her platoon continue to provide perimeter security for the Emperor, Faelan meets with the Alor'ad's of the remaining battalion squadrons to plan their mission. Electing to move out with the intent to envelop the power grid, maneuvering around or near the defenses that intelligence provided by scouts has revealed, in order to deny the enemy an opportunity to marshal their strength against the battalion's attack, Faelan tasks one half of his forces with moving into position to make a supporting attack on the power grid, leading the remaining half himself for a rallying point on the left flank of enemy forces defending the power grid so that they can launch the decisive strike on the location the enemy defends.
Ordering his Ver'alor's to have their platoons move in paired maneuver and fire support elements, Faelan begins leading his forces towards their objective as the Alor'ad's of the other half of his forces begin moving out for theirs. With advance scouts providing warnings of when to prepare to encounter enemy forces, Faelan and his troops adjust the roles and organization of their individual squads according to the situation, their tenacity and fighting strength coupling with the effects of the Knight of Ren's telepathic attack to enable them to reach their objectives swiftly and with minimal casualties; enemy morale and resolve faltering as they sense as well as witness the doom steadily, relentlessly advancing upon them.
Once Falean and his troops have reached their flanking position, he orders his scouts to prepare to shift into the role of snipers when the attack begins by sighting in on any leaders of the enemy force protecting the power grid so that they can incite even more panic and confusion when the time comes. Once he has received word that the troops that will be providing the supporting attack have reached their objective, Faelan orders them to launch their offensive.
Once the supporting attack, augmented by the assaults ongoing by scouts sniping the enemy officers, wrist missiles launched by Mando'ade equipped with jetpacks enabling them to act as short range air support elements, and flame thrower equipped Mando'ade driving enemy troops from their positions or incinerating them outright, is well underway, Faelan orders the troops under his command to begin their attack, leading the assault personally.
Slapping a fresh power cell into his A280 blaster rifle after the enemy forces protecting the power grid have been eliminated and his troops are moving into positions to secure it, Faelan orders his engineers to bring the power grid offline. Moments later darkness begins to descend upon Foamwander City once the grid is down and lights and power begin going off throughout the city, Faelan opens a secure comm channel to the Emperor to report, The power grid is down and the location is secured, Emperor Delvardus.

Ignoring the Lieutenant Colonel's often ill-timed sense of humor has become second nature to Faina, and she does so when asked to assign some Imperial Knights to work with the Emperor's Talons, merely nodding and then taking a moment to decide who best to send along with the Shadowtroopers. Making her decisions based on the nature of the Shadowtrooper's mission and the abilities of the Imperial Knights present, Faina ultimately decides to send five Knights. The first Imperial Knights Faina selects are Voshkie Sarkissian, a female Atoan, Tamiko Ueda, a blue skinned female Pantoran, and Nechama Matos, a female Sarkhai, have proven themselves to be a highly effective fighting unit many times in the past; Voshkie's skill in battle meditation, coupled with Tamiko and Nechama's proficiency in the Praetoria Vonil style of lightsaber combat making them a formidable addition to any larger force. The final two Imperial Knights Faina chooses are Fiore Donati, a human male from her homeworld of Empress Teta, and Nascha Sayen, a female Wroonian, both adept practitioners of the Praetoria Ishu style of lightsaber combat also quite skilled in telekinesis.
Voshkie, Tamiko and Nechama join the Shadowtroopers led personally by Lieutenant Commander Foresi, while Fiore and Nascha accompany the Shadowtroopers moving to encircle the armory and barracks. Voshkie, who stays near the rear of the Shadowtroopers in order to better focus on her battle meditation to bolster the morale, drive and overall operational effectiveness of the Shadowtroopers, remains aloof from the combat save for those occasions when the situation demands that the rearguard engage the enemy, while Tamiko and Nechama are often the first to engage the enemy forces that the Shadowtroopers make contact with, their silver hued lightsabers breaking the enemy lines that are confused, terrified and demoralized by the effects of the Knight of Ren's use of Force fear, softening up the enemy for the Shadowtroopers that are never far behind them when the fighting is thickest.
Fiore and Nascha, due to the nature of Praetoria ishu, are ever among the Shadowtroopers leading the way as they engage the enemy, their lightsabers deflecting blaster bolts or cutting down any Alliance troops that draw close enough to warrant a shift from defensive to offensive tactics. When the Shadowtroopers they accompany are providing covering fire for others that are advancing, Fiore and Nascha use their telekinetic abilities to hurl debris or any other objects of opportunity towards the Alliance with the same degree of precision and deadly effect that the Shadowtroopers display with their blasters.
Nechama, wiping sweat and dust from her pale brow after a halt in their advance is ordered, finds Lieutenant Commander Foresi and is about to ask whether the Shadowtroopers moving to surround the barracks and armory have reached their positions when the power in the city is cut, causing blackouts that will hopefully also spell the shut down of any automated defenses that could hinder their ability to complete their mission. "It looks like the Mandos have succeeded, Nechama observes, the traditional Sarkhai style of war paint she had applied before the battle smeared or worn away by sweat and grime to a degree that it is almost more imposing than the original neat, precisely patterned application had been, and then grins crookedly as she says, Hopefully that means our job will be that much easier. The lack of power will almost certainly incite even more fear and panic in the enemy, Nechama thinks as she asks, How long before the final assault?"

Having made use of their Kom'rk-class transport's speed, maneuverability and offensive capabilities to provide protection for the less maneuverable landing transports ferrying First Order troopers and Mandalorian warriors to Mon Calamari's surface, Zdzislaw Tenau's squadron is one of the last to join the Emperor's briefing.
Their squadron having been assigned to the platoon under the direct command of Fionnuala Priest, Zdzislaw and his team leaders, Toiréasa Kelborn and Cionaodh Rodarch, find Fionnuala after their ship has been secured. Having arrived in time to hear Faelan Bralor order Fionnuala to have her platoon provide perimeter security for Emperor Delvardus IV's position, Zdzislaw waits until the briefing has concluded and the Mandalorians and First Order troops sent on missions in the capital have begun to move out before asking Fionnuala, Where do you want my squadron, Ver'alor?

Nechama, wiping sweat and dust from her pale brow after a halt in their advance is ordered, finds Lieutenant Commander Foresi and is about to ask whether the Shadowtroopers moving to surround the barracks and armory have reached their positions when the power in the city is cut, causing blackouts that will hopefully also spell the shut down of any automated defenses that could hinder their ability to complete their mission. The lack of power will almost certainly incite even more fear and panic in the enemy, Nechama thinks as she asks, How long before the final assault?" Remind me to buy the lead buckethead a beer, Nicolina, having switched her helmet's HUD to night vision mode after the lighst jokes when Nechama points out that the lights going out means the Mandalorians have completed their mission. We'll be a go as soon as the platoons encircling the barracks and armory are in position. Rapping a fist lightly on the Imperial Knight's shoulder pauldron companionably, she says before heading over to confer with the platoon leaders she is commanding for the last push, Tell your pals you've all done good. 'Preciate ya'all's help. Take five, never know when the next chance to do so will come along, right?
As she is waiting for the platoon leaders moving into positions around the armory and barracks, Nicolina mentally reviews the reports she had received from her forward observers about the enemy defenses protecting the compound and the plan of attack she has formulated to see if any alternative ideas come to her. The fence encircling the compound won't be too difficult to deal with, the tanks accompanying her troops will be able to blast or crash through them easily enough, and the enemy lookouts in the observation towers will be in the dark when her snipers start taking them out. Once she and her troops are within the fences things will be a bit more dicey, the enemy having the advantage of barricades and other cover to fire from, but Nicolina does not imagine that the enemy will stand much of a chance even so given her superior numbers and the fact that they must know that the tide of the battle is undeniably and almost certainly irreversibly against them.
Once she has received word from her troopers that they are in position, Nicolina gives the order for her snipers to open fire on the enemy sentries in the towers, signaling the beginning of the attack. Nearly all of the enemy sentries are taken off the board before one falls from a tower and alerts the troops in the compound to the attack. Advancing under covering fire from the tanks accompanying them, Nicolina's Shadowtroopers and the Imperial Knights converge on the compound from all sides, the platoons that she had sent to encircle the barracks and armory moving in first to draw the attention of the enemy.
The blaster fire being exchanged and the explosions from the tank and enemy heavy weapon fire illuminates the darkness ahead as Nicolina gives the order for the troops she leads to begin their advance, and she shoulders her DLT-19 as she charges right along with them, sighting in on a pair of enemy troopers raising from cover and beginning to take aim and opening up on them before they have a chance to fire their weapons. The tank providing covering and antipersonnel fire for the two platoons she leads into the battle is taken out shortly after it crashes through the fence surrounding the compound, and two of her Shadowtroopers in the fireteams first to enter the compound fall to enemy fire before Nicolina and one of her heavy repeater wielding troops can suppress the enemy long enough for the rest of the advancing squad to get to cover. The rest of the battle is just as fierce and chaotic, but with the help of the Imperial Knights, Nicolina's Shadowtroopers are ultimately victorious, overwhelming the enemy troops outside of the barracks and armory and then moving inside both buildings to decisively wrest them from the enemy.
Ordering her Shadowtroopers to gather their wounded and dead so that LAATs can retrieve them, Nicolina, her dust covered armor now bearing more dents, scorch marks and scratches than before the battle began, has her combat engineers begin planting explosives to destroy the barracks and armory. Finding Nechama after the explosives have been planted and her Shadowtroopers are moving away from the anticipated blast radius, Nicolina tells her, We'll start moving out to link up with the Emperor once we blow things up. How're you and the other Knights holding up? If any of you need medical attention, she points to where SFC Hintlian, one of her platoon medics, is treating the shoulder wound CPL Madatian, one of her squad leaders, had sustained in the battle, Bedros there can look after ya. Receiving word from her engineers that they are about to detonate, Nicolina warns the Imperial Knight, Might wanna cover your ears, things are about to go boom.
The darkness beneath the dome covering the city is pushed back for a few moments after the thunderous series of explosions that destroy the barracks and armory sound forth, and Nicolina is wiping a bit of debris that had been thrown into the air by the destruction to fall on her armor as she reports in to Nicademus, Mission accomplished, m'lord. Moving out for rendezvous now, over. Signaling her Shadowtroopers to start moving out, forward observers having been deployed already to watch for any enemy resistance between them and where they will link up with the Emperor, Nicolina adjusts the sling of her blaster rifle and sets out with her troops.

Fionnuala, having taken the time to study how the Emperor's Shadow troopers have positioned themselves, adopting a Vee formation with Delvardus at its center, tells Zdzislaw that, For now, we'll move in a wedge formation behind and on the right flank of the Shadow troopers. A wedge formation will allow for easy control, excellent fire to the front and good security and fire to the flanks if needed, Fionnuala thinks, and can act as traveling and traveling overwatch in concert with the Shadow troopers when they begin advancing further into the city. Your squad will be in the lead, she says, motioning for him to get into position with a spirited, Oya!

Nechama, her cloak torn so much that it is almost in tatters, nods when Lieutenant Commander Foresi says that they will be heading out soon to rejoin the Emperor for the main push. Turning and motioning for Fiore, who has one of Nascha's arms over his shoulder as he helps the wounded Wrooninan, her right shoulder and upper thigh struck by blaster fire during the battle to seize the armory and barracks, to help Nascha over to where SFC Hintilan is tending to the Shadowtroppers that were also injured, Nechama tells the Lieutenant Commander, "We're hanging in there. Nascha might be out of the fighting, depending on what your doc says, but the rest of us are still mission capable."
As they begin to move for the rendezvous with the Emperor, Nechama stays close to the front of the Lieutenant Commander's forces, Tamiko near enough that they will be able to fight in concert should the need arise, staving off her exhaustion so that she can ensure that her senses remain alert for any hints of impending danger that the Force might reveal to her.

As the others performed their tasks to the letter, the Braxant Legionnaires began their assault forward.
1st and 2nd Battalions, respectfully known as Mors I and II, began their push through the center, escorted ten AT-ST/As, four FireHawke Heavy Repulsortank, and 4 2-M Saber-class Repulsor tanks. The main walkers, a pair of AT-M6s and four AT-ATs, were kept in reserve as the Stormtroopers of the 1st and 2nd Battalions cleared the way forward. Armed personnel, who surrendered, were taken into custody, while those who resisted and fought were fired upon and killed in the fighting. Civilians seemed to have been evacuated from this part of Foamwander City as there were mostly stragglers and a piecemeal defense force left in the area. This was still the Galactic Alliance and Nicademus knew of their tenacity. He kept his eyes and ears open as the troops moved through the streets and buildings.
The other detachments of the Braxant Legionnaires, 3rd Bridge 'Gravis' and 4th Brigade 'Caelum,' were making good progress on the left and right flanks as they moved towards the main objective, the Galactic Alliance main government complex. From what he recalled, Nicademus had not read any diplomatic vessels exiting the system during the fighting, which meant that likely meant that the main heart of the Alliance was still present on the planet. The Triumvirs were certainly there and Nicademus would see to it that their pens signed the end of the Galactic Alliance, once and for all.
With the Legionnaires regrouping in the main plaza before the Complex, Nicademus hears the reports from the other two groups. He contacts his armored commander to bring up the walkers and the additional AT-STs in reserve. They formed a perimeter as a defensive formation. The only ones going in with the Emperor, himself, were the Imperial Knights, the Deathtroopers of 1st Battalion, the Dark Troopers of the 2nd Battalion, and the Imperial Commandos.
Converge on the main government building. I want all resistance eliminated or subdued. Do not let any of high ranking officials of the Alliance escape!
He gave the final order before his troops began their advance forward.
