*Octavious could feel her fatigue. She was on the verge of passing out. He had to move fast, but every step was starting to become painful. He has no choice, he wraps her arms around his chest, neck and picks her up. Carrying her on his back she begins to become weaker. Now every step was beyond painful, but he manages to get her outside. He starts to taste and breathe blood. If he didn't get moving quick, the lizards would be on them and they would both be dead. They were moving fast. Gathering would he could muster, he makes a Force leap onto a building top. Agony in his chest. He does it again a couple of buildings over. For the love of harmony he was in agony, every breath felt like he was going to suffocate on his own blood. He hacks up a nice splotch of blood as he spots a place to hide out. He can barely move but he still carries Mirania every step. He ignites his saber and opens a little shack door. It used to be a place used by squatters, but Octavious couldn't be picky. They needed a place to hide out so Mirania can rest and help him heal his broken ribs. He sits down hard but manages to set Mirania down without being rough. Amazing that he could still be that gentle even when he was near blacking out himself. He sits with her in his lap in a meditative style. He concentrates on breathing and healing what he could while holding her close. At least until Mirania could rest. Until then he had to be prepared. He lost the lizards, but that won't be for long.*

Mirania wasn't sure how they had escaped from the Trandoshans, with Octavious's injuries and her own fatigue, but somehow, he had gotten them to safety, if only for a little while. She collapsed to the floor, gasping for breath and trying to keep herself from passing out from fatigue. Wherever they were, they wouldn't likely be safe for long and he still had some major injuries that needed healing, but she was far too exhausted for that. Despite her best efforts, she felt herself slipping away and was soon unconscious.

*He felt her pass out and held her close. He sat there in the dark and tried his best to heal and cloak the two of them the best he could. He was in pain, and with every breath he took it got worse. He slowly entered a healing trance and began to deaden his pain and heal his ribs somewhat. They still had a pretty bad stress fracture but he could at least concentrate better. He also focus on her and began to try to heal her fatigue as best he could.*

Mirania woke, and immediately wished she had just kept sleeping. Her head felt like a ton of bricks and she felt nauseous from all the running and the healing. Barely moving, she continued to rest against the stranger that had unwittingly dragged her into all of this, resolving to pay more attention to her surroundings the next time she found herself walking in a crowd. One never knew when one would run into someone doing something dangerous and suddenly find oneself dragged into a fight with Trandoshans. Ugh...
She groaned softly and turned her head to "look" up at Octavious, still sensing that he was hurt and just as tired as she was. Despite all that had happened, she wasn't really that angry with him, though she had to say that this really wasn't her idea of a good first impression...
She managed to smile just a little bit."Not the...best first impression...you know...next time...just buy me a drink or...something like that...."

*Normally Octavious would avoid getting into trouble with innocent bystanders, but Octavious had no such luck it would seem. Being a Jedi Shadow had that draw back. Octavious didn't like getting people into his messes, but he made damn sure to get them out. Normally people were resentful, but she wasn't. It was a refreshing change, to be honest. She set him at ease. Which didn't last long because of his ribs being broken. Every breath was agony. Even with his healing trance. He managed to knit his bones back together, but he still had some stress-fractures. He takes his time answering her back.*
"Trust me...I would have....rather bought you a drink instead. Sorry....to drag you into....this. I'll make it...up to you...on our next date."
*Octavious starts to chuckle a little but stops because it hurts. A lot.*

Mirania couldn't help but giggle just a little at his comment about getting her a drink for their next date. That was a nice thought, but that wouldn't matter if they didn't make it out of this. And they were still in a dire predicament. She hadn't recovered her strength enough to attempt any more healing, and he was too badly hurt for them to keep moving. As far as she knew, there was no choice but to stay put and hope one of them got their strength up some more.
She shook her head a little."Take me...somewhere nice...maybe to Naboo or something..."

*That was a nice thought. If only he could get into his trance. The Trance that can peer into the future. He was a Baran Do Sage. Trained by the Kel Dor on Dorin. It would be nice to hang out with her at the Lake Country just outside Theed. He has an old friend there. The little children make up stories about the old man. Says he is a hermit monster. Half man half Guber fish. Octavious smiles when he thinks about the silly stories. The old man is actually a Gungan. He isn't an outcast, he just chooses to live alone on an island by himself. Only a few close friends are allowed to stay there. Octavious is one of them because he saved the old Gungan's life. Saved him from a huge Guber fish as a matter of fact. Octavious can't help but think how nice it would be, to go there, just her and him to visit the old man and live on the beach for 2 or 3 weeks. Maybe after he gets done disrupting the gun runners he could take her. If only. If only he could get them out of there first. It wasn't much, but it gave Octavious a reason to hope for such little time together without being in danger. Even if she tells him to space off after this whole debacle it gives him the incentive to hope beyond hope.*
"Consider it done. I have....an old friend.....who lives alone.....on an island....in the lake country....I'd be more than....happy to take you there."

Mirania giggled quietly, actually finding herself a little intrigued by the possibility of a visit to Naboo with a fellow Miraluka. Well that was just one more reason they had to survive this. If she could just find the strength to keep going, to keep him alive long enough to escape then maybe...maybe she would have a date."Well...we're not getting there by...sitting around..."She took a deep breath and focused again, placing her hand on his chest and channeling her power once more, attempting to see if she could heal at least some of the damage, and still have enough energy to run away. She could at least make it easier for him to breathe. Breathing was good...
She was forced to stop after a minute, breathing heavily, but hopefully she had fixed some of the damage."OK...can you...run now? We have to get out of here..."

*She was right, they had to move. And soon. She puts her hand on his chest and starts to heal him. She had one helluva healing touch. His ribs hurt but they were now bruised and not broken with a stress fracture. Bruised he could ignore. Bruised he could breath easier. Breathing was good. He took deeper breaths. It was a dull pain, but not a sharp tightening pain. He stands up with her in his arms and begins to draw the Force to him. He was zoning in on speed. He would have to run, and fast. The Lizards were naturally fast and probably had vehicles too. He holds her close to him, tight against his chest.*
"You have a way with healing. Hold on to me as tightly as you can. It's going to be fast and ferocious."
*Octavioius kicks open the door, which catches the attention of the nearby Trandoshans. He leaps a good 75 yards and lands on the ground and begins to run with a intensity unmatched by anything like the lizards have seen.*

Mirania nodded and clung as tightly to him as her fatigued limbs would allow as he started running again, and she hoped that this time they could finally shake their pursuers and get some much needed rest. He still needed more attention but she doubted that she could call forth a third healing effort, as her latest burst had been little more than a second wind. They had to get away now, and as she clung tightly to him, she hoped he could escape, and maybe follow through on his promise to take her to Naboo.

*She could barely hang on, so Octavious holds her very close. He could feel her breath under his neck as he sprinted down the alley way. He took a sharp right then a quick left. Letting the Force guide him where he needed to take her to be safe from the lizards. Which they weren't very close behind. They had to resort to hover vehicles to give Octavious chase. Octavious did train on Dorin, which was a planet in between two black holes and low atmosphere. So needless to say he was really fast. He finally ducks behind a building and the lizards pass right by them. Octavious takes the chance to go the opposite way back into the city to finally lose them. If they could make it to the crowded streets again, he could alert the local authorities and get some back up. Or they could be paid off by the Trandoshans and delivered back to them. Either way, Octavious had to get back to the city.*

Mirania was still fighting to stay awake as they finally started to make their way back towards the city, and hopefully safety. With any luck, they would both make it back without sustaining any more life threatening injuries as she had pretty much nothing left in the proverbial tank after all the healing and running that she had done today, and she doubted that he had much left either. They had to hurry to find somewhere safe to rest and hopefully find someone to take care of those damned lizards...

*Octavious is running on instinct trying to focus the Force. He needs to regenerate his lost energy and find some back up. He starts to get to occupied streets. Carrying a half conscious woman is suspicious at best, especially since it's one Miraluka carrying another. Octavious had to move quickly and somehow not draw too much attention to themselves. Easier said then done. He was tired. His ribs weren't broken, only slightly bruised, but they still hurt. He had to get somewhere safe. He cold sense the Lizards were double backing into the city again. He could never lose them for long. He had an idea. Which meant property destruction.*

*When they finally arrive, Octavious brings her to his ship, a royal blue J-type nubian star skiff. He activates the ramp and walks her back up. The Lizards didn't know where they were, but Octavious could see them getting closer through the crowds of Utapauans. He sets her down comfortably and lifts her head to put a soft pillow under it. He speaks to her gently.*
"Wait here. I have some unfinished business to take care of."
*He walks slowly to the ramp and looks for any Trandoshans, when he sees the coast is clear he looks back over his shoulder.*
"I won't be long."
*With that he exits and heads to stop the lizards.*

*Octavious heads off. He can see the lizards flying in a shuttle. They are coming right for him. Focusing on the Force he draws on his inner serenity. They are just starting to notice him when the Trandoshans see local soldiers coming around the corner. They wait off in the distance. As does Octavious. His long-handle lightsaber in his right hand, his finger on the activation button. He was ready. The soldiers know a Jedi stands waiting. If Octavious had eyes, he would be staring at the Trandoshans with an icy resolve. The soldiers know something is about to go down and quickly. They take cover and wait for back up after calling it in. The streets are empty now. A lone shadow against five lizards. The odds weren't in their favor anymore. Octavious was poised and ready. No more surprises. His pain was manageable, Mirania was a great healer. They rush forward opening fire at Octavious. With the proverbial snap-hiss, he activates his viridian blade to volley back the fire at them all. Killing them all. Octavious wasn't in the mood after taking a beating from them earlier. He starts to walk back to where Mirania was, his viridian blade humming with every step.*

Mirania nodded slowly when he told her to wait, but then, there really wasn't much else she could do anyway besides wait. She had no energy left to do anything else, and shortly after he had left to go deal with the lizards, she simply passed out and slumped to the floor. She was out for a little while, coming around when she felt the disturbances in the Force that signaled that Octavious was dealing with the lizards. Still barely conscious, she raised her head upon hearing the hum of a lightsaber and turned to 'see' him walking towards her. That could only mean that he had done it. She managed a soft mumble."Are....we safe....now?"

*Octavious stops just in front of her and deactivates his saber. Clipping it onto his belt he goes to pick her up and holds her in his arms.*
"Yes. They've been handled. They won't hurt us, or anyone else, again."
*He holds her in his arms and walks to his ship. They did have a date on Naboo. Octavious promised her and he intended to keep his word to her. He walks down the street carrying her. She was still fatigued. He was too, but he could endure because he was trained to endure. They reach his royal blue J-type nubian star skiff. It was pristine and clearly taken care of, the loading ramp lowers and he walks her up it to the inside. He lays her down on one of the resting areas and puts a pillow under her head.*
"Try to get some sleep. It'll be a few hours until we get to Naboo."
*He puts a blanket over her and heads to the cockpit. He sits and slumps in the chairs and winces a little. A vacation was just what the Doctor ordered. Even if he didn't have the Councils permission, he was going to get some R&R. He punsches in the coordinates for the Lake Country of Naboo and start up his ship. The loud roar of the star skiff rumbles as it lifts and retracts the landing gear. Piloting out of the city, he makes his way to open orbit.*

Pau City was a large sinkhole sanctuary plunging deep into the surface of the planet Utapau.
