Afording herself on last deep breath as she began to experience the Battle Meditation, Dah'lis felt Vasari almost as an extension of herself, they moved around each other like one. Any shots Vasari couldn't block where parried by the saber of the Knight. Witnessing how the young woman fought and her mismatched equipment and fighting style, Dah'lis knew she was the more experienced fighter, but with the cold having taken its toll, they were on more even footing.
Dah'lis did not miss that most of these shots were aimed specifically at her, but that didn't stop her from worrying about Vasari getting hit by a stray bolt. Soon though the snipers had made their play and Vasari was out of the way, it was time to deal with this formation rushing them. The half-breed charged forward and into a leap. Everything about how she moved was graceful and fluid, in another setting one may think they were at the ballet. She held her saber in front of her and with the Force spun it rapidly in front of her as shots rang out towards her flying form. The shots pinged off her blade scattering across the area in front of her, one was even lucky and found a home in the knee of an guard. But soon she began to descend, and extending her leg, she planted her heeled foot firmly on the sternum of the lead man. As she rode him down, their was a flick of her left wrist and her lightwhip wrapped around the neck of the guard directly to her left. Then, as she landed, she swiped out to her right with the saber and severed the legs of that unlucky soul before tucking and rolling head first into the middle of what was left of this group. At this close range their rifles would be useless and they went for their batons.

She felt awkward and bumbling as she forced her all but frozen numb body to respond. She hated fighting with a single blade almost as much as she hated this cold, nothing about the situation she was in at the moment was enjoyable - save perhaps the company of the one she fought next to. Feeling her move at least to rush the group coming towards them Vasari stepped back continuing to deflect the bolts from both directions. They were further away and she had time to sense the movements of the men in the corridors through the first current and connect to them through the second before finally moving to deflect the blast bolts away from their target. When their original tactic didn't work the two other groups began to pour out into the central hub and spread out - no doubt trying to surround them.
Over her shoulder she saw Dah'lis break into the diamond shape of men coming at them forcing them into close range which gave her some measure of protection as the brutes coming against them felt less inclined to fire into their own men to hit her. That would not last long however as the men began to drop one by one the graceful almost dance-like moves of the knight-errant. Vasari moved towards the group slowly, her awkward saber still swirling in tight circles in front of her deflecting shots that became more and more focused on her. Eventually she had to switch to the standard first Form movements to make it easier to deflect the bolts coming her way - the movements felt better with the single blade than her clumsy attempt at the most graceful of the forms - form 3 - but the curved hilt limited the movements of her wrist and it nearly proved disastrous as she faltered once and a blaster bolt slammed into her left shoulder. She didn't feel it however - too in tune with force she believed to be pulled form her defense - but the impact of the bolt did force her to her knee and the two dozen remaining men focused now upon her took this as a sign that victory was near and several of them rushed forward to take advantage of the mistake. A hail of blaster fire rained down upon her and from her kneeling position the arcing curves of her saber seemed much more drastic as deflected all of the bolts and then shot a hand out towards the three men rushing her - batons raised. Emerald ichor lightning shot out from her finger tips and engulfed the three men, the sizzle of flesh and burning leather filled the air and Vasari's eyes flashed a brilliant yellow as she feasted on their life force regaining her footing and twirling her other hand to deflect another volley of fire. The screams of the three men filled the room for only a moment then they fell dead and Vasari turned her deadly gaze towards the remaining men of the same unit who all took cover instantly. With the brief respite from the constant rain of fire Vasari moved back towards Dah'lis as she fought to finish off the rest of the advanced guard - the brief moments rest wouldn't last long.

The chaotic sounds of lightsabers clashing broke through the near-silent plain as the pale white tundra was illuminated in the glow of a red blade. To those in the distance, it sounded aggressive, nearly panicked in its pattern. Back and forth did the heavy dance go, alongside the brilliant displays of lightning and other attacks of the Force. Several minutes passed before there came a sudden silence. No more sounds of fighting, not even a steady hum of the Force-wielder's blade.
The red male Twi'lek stood there, eyes wide as his body no longer responded to the commands his brain gave them. His lightsaber had fallen from his hands and deactivated itself as if admitting its defeat in this encounter. With a slight jolt, his body arched forward a bit before losing its last remaining stability and fell limp to the ground, his last breath emerging in a small puff of white smoke. Blood poured from his gut as his body heat caused the ground to steam a little as the icy colored terrain became tainted in his blood. A cloth then fell lightly upon his body, also colored in his blood as footsteps could be heard departing. With defiant eyes, he looked up at the woman that had been his opponent as the last essence of life left him.
Brushing rosy-colored hair back out of her face, the woman slid her long, crimson sword slowly into place down her back as the shield upon her left arm retracted its blades. Zipping up her jacket, she removed a scarf from a pack on her belt and wrapped it around her neck to fight back against the cold. During her battle, she had remained warm enough, but now that her adrenaline was settling out, so too was her body heat. The last thing she needed was to catch her death out here, especially since the last of the Sith she'd been hunting was gone.
She hadn't gone far before she stopped, looking at the fiery blaze that rested no more than half a kilometer away. In this final battle, the former Sith had fled from her by ship, hoping to lose her once more. Being so close, it was something she wasn't going to allow. And so, as reckless as it was, she brought her vessel down upon his, bringing them both crashing to the surface. It helped her goal, but now that it was over, she thought of the consequences it carried. All she had was in there, now burnt to nothingness. He collection of weapons, all her clothing, everything. All that remained was the few weapons she carried on her person: her sword and shield, lightsaber, throwing knives, and her dual pistols. It was then that she noticed a pack lying a small distance away from the raging flames, allowing her to remember she had;t been entirely blind in her actions. Within was one final bit of attire, a recent one she had acquired. Perhaps, in the end, that was the point. All she had came from her time long passed, something she was now ready to leave behind. All well and good, except for the fact she had quite the journey to make it towards the city of Novania
Pressing on from corpse and the wrecked ships, she pushed forward, hoping to find a means of leaving in the city as she was ready to get off this world for someplace warmer.

The guards were already dueling Dah'lis with their batons. But then the half-breed lost her focus as she felt the ripple in the Force alerting her that her ally had been hit. She turned to see how bad it was, but didn't get the chance to make any meaningful conclusions as a shock from a baton shot up her spine. It was enough that would have knocked someone out cold had they not felt that kind of pain before, or weren't so trained in the Force. Arching her back in pain, the blue-skinned female lashed out with aggression. Her pain was not just physical, but also emotional as the shock reminded her of every time she was disciplined as a slave-in-training. Her blood now boiled, despite the cold, and a ripple went through the Force as she opened up to her anger. Soon two more of the men were down. One lost his hand to the lightwhip, and the other lost a lung to the saber. Both fell, leaving behind a single survivor of this initial assault. Knowing he wouldn't win a one-on-one melee engagement, he turned to flee. This itself proved fatal as his whole body was gripped by the force and pulled back onto her waiting saber blade. Now as Vasari reached her, Dah'lis stood once more back to back with her. The knight deactivated her whip and pulled one of the fallen men's side arms to her. Now armed with a blaster pistol and lightsaber, Dah'lis could return at least some fire more accurately than her hurried deflections. How's that shoulder?

She shrugged with her back pressed against her partner when asked about her shoulder, oddly enough she didn't feel any pain, but the brief respite in fire while the remaining men fought to come to grips with what they were really up against soon ended and they once again beset by blaster fire on all sides making it difficult for her to keep her mind in order enough to reply. The whir of the lift had stopped, meaning that they needed to clear the room as quickly as possible before anyone else showed up. She did a quick count as her sword arm crossed back and forth over her body and found there were little less than a dozen men left, all in cover taking wild shots in their direction. They were panicked and falling apart, but still dangerous. Vasari nudged Dah'lis behind a pallet of iron bars used to brace the walls of the tunnels before ducking down herself - they needed a plan to end this quickly, and even with them out of sight the blaster fire continued.
We've got to split up and attack their flanks, force them to split their fire between us and once we get to their back line we can tear them apart.
Vasari laid a reassuring hand on the woman's shoulder, having noticed the nasty stun she had taken only moments before - she was amazed the girl had managed to keep her feet. She ran her hand across her shoulder as she moved behind her and gave her a reassuring nod in the dim light before moving out behind the little cover they had taken and breaking at a sprint to the far wall of the hub, expecting Dah'lis to go the opposite direction in a moment or two. The fire came upon her then as all of the remaining men found a single target and Vasari had to leap over a mine cart to reach the wall, deflecting a bolt into the ground in mid air that would have taken her in the abdomen promising a very slow painful death. Once at the wall she lowered her saber and centered her mind reaching out her hand towards the nearest two - they panicked and unleashed several bolts of energy towards her expecting to be engulfed in lightning like their comrades - but they were not. Vasari didn't raise her clumsy blade to deflect the bolts this time, her mind was focused now entirely upon the current of the force and she felt the energy coming towards her as if in slow motion. Employing the old art of Tutaminis she absorbed the blaster bolts that would have hit her channeling that energy into body... she knew if she didn't do something with it soon it would burn her from the inside out and so she deactivated her saber and raised her other hand to unleash the energy in the form of cackling blue lightning that shout out to burst the weapons of the two men before her into scrap. In moments she was on top of them, brandishing her curved hilted saber once more and in two swift clean cuts removed the heads from their bodies - she pressed on towards the center hoping that her partner was fairing well.

Watching for a moment to make sure her ally was going to fair well on her side, Dah'lis settled on her own plan of attack. She reached out and pulled a second blaster pistol to her. Re-affixing her saber to her belt, she wielded a pistol in each hand. Then with another leap, she left cover. With the aid of the Force she did the math and worked out her timing. Shots rang from her pistols as they struck true on a pair of guards hiding behind some rusted steel drums. A return volley flew towards her. These bolts she absorbed with her cortosis gauntlets right before she landed behind the same drums as her last victims. Now that she was closer, she tossed the blasters aside and drew her light weapons once more. Once more she leapt out of cover and towards her pray.

With the pair of them behind their line of cover it didn't take long to clear them up and as Vasari's blade came down on the last of them a silence filled the central hub once again. She paused waiting, listening for any sound of a heartbeat she missed, reaching out along the currents of the force to see if reinforcements had came quicker than she had calculated, and then finding nothing she extinguished her saber and hooked it beneath the folds of her cloak. In doing so she shifted her cloak to one side which caused the black charted material that made up the armorweave shoulder pad to come into view. the mostly decorative piece of armor had saved her shoulder from the burn of the blaster bolt and all the covered her skin was the dark scorch marks and melted armorweave. She rolled her shoulder testing range of motion which caused the burnt strap to break off and the shoulder pad to fall off her arm and onto the ground. She picked up the piece of armor and turned it over in her hands. it had held up surprisingly well, doing its job, but was now utterly ruined and so she tossed it aside and looked over to the knight, assessing her quickly for any sign of injury.
"Seems like our ride is here..."
She whispered almost too casually and gestured to the lift that had been sitting there patiently for the battle to end. Once again there was silence in the dome shaped room and the only thing she could hear past the faint echo of her own words was the slight heaviness of their breathing and the three beating hearts.
"Think you can make it or do I need to carry you?"
Her voice was teasing and her eyes were bright and a little playful. The scent of death and charred flesh lingered around them both but it didn't seem to effect Vasari's mood, if anything it seemed to improve it as she held out her arm gesturing towards the lift and the next stage of their quest into the darkness of Arkania.

The Knight deactivated her blades after the battle ended. She watched as Vasari removed a portion of her ruined armor and discarded it. There was a moment where the woman smiled back at the comment made about needing carried. I think I can make it, though it is a tempting offer. But as she took a step forward, coming down off the adrenaline high, she felt the pain that had been inflicted upon her by the stun baton and stumbled. Catching herself on the lift's railing Dah'lis winced as she stood back up. Oh, that's not good...

Vasari was smiling at her, looking over her body for signs of injury as they walked towards the lift, when she dipped downwards. Vasari moved to her side and had her arms around the woman almost as quickly as she had caught herself on the railing of the lift. She was careful to avoid her back in case the baton had left a burn mark that she might agitate but she shouldered the woman's weight easily and helped her walk the last few steps into the lift setting her to lean against the back wall - the only solid one for the rest were simple railings - and gave a quick 'wait here' gesture as she moved back into the hub as if forgetting to do something. A moment later the lift began to whir with energy again and it slowly started to descend into the blackness of the pit that dove into the planets crust. A half moment later all the lights went out, and it took another half minute while the lift moved steadily downward for Vasari to appear once again, falling into the lift and landing with a gentle 'thud' of combat boots on the steel flooring. They were once again in perfect darkness but Vasari found her way to Dah'lis side quickly and slowly eased the woman towards the lifts floor.
"Its just your nerves - they're afire right now but... they'll settle by the time we reach the bottom, you should be able to walk fine by then."
She rested a hand against the girl's arm just above her gauntlet to let her know she was there - in the darkness it was difficult to tell. The silence was deafening, the only sound was the grating of the lifts repulsors as it carried them deeper and deeper into the mine. Vasari let the silence hang between them, almost like she was waiting for the woman to say something. It was settling in for the first time just what sort of situation they had gotten into together, at least for her... and she wondered what the other woman was thinking - but in the stillness the cold returned and soon her body was shivering as the adrenaline from the fight slowly left her, and her hearts beat ever slower.

Grateful for the help into the lift, Dah'lis offered no resistance from being sat down and told to wait. She had come to trust this woman and was confident in her abilities, even as the lift began to depart in pitch blackness, she was confident her companion would return. And she did. The cold and pain now starting to both bite at her, Dah'lis feared her recklessness in approching this mission was going to be the end of her. Something she certainly did not want. She removed her gauntlets and placed a hand on Vasari's.
I know I wasn't at Iridonia, but I'm still sorry it happened. I never had a real home, so I can't imagine what losing one is like. Hate the First Order all you like, I'm just glad, that at least right now, you don't hate me.
She squeezed Vasari's hand and offered a weak smile in the darkness. Feeling her companion chilling now, she gave a light tug on her hand. Come on, we need to stay warm, we'll need to keep close.

The knight's words made her tense slightly, but she had not exactly lost her home, it was still there, just under the rule of a man she didn't really know, and most certainly didn't trust yet, but Dah'lis was right, she wasn't there... and when she thought about it it could have been much worse. The academy could have been burnt to the ground by fanatical or superstitious officers that did not know what they were doing, her beloved library could have been destroyed, the centuries and centuries worth of knowledge lost forever - but it was not. She warmed slightly then, her expressions softening. She felt the coolness of the woman's skin on her own and looked down, before realizing she coudln't have seen anything anyways, and felt more than saw the fingers on her own hand tugging her closer to the one beside her.
Vasari hesitated for a moment but only a moment, the idea of the girls body heat more appealing than her own stubborn pride. She pulled her cloak aside and moved closer to the half breed pressing the full length of her side and one breast against her while wrapping an arm under her own cape and pulling her close. It was lucky she was a few inches taller than the blue skinned beauty so she wouldn't have to worry about the girl cutting herself on her horns should she decide to nuzzle a little closer, instead she rested her cheek against the top of the girls headdress of Lekku and caressed her side hoping to spurn her body into warming itself.
"Iridonia was not your fault...you have nothing to apologize for."She had considered saying so much more, or such different things but ruled them all out one by one. It didn't matter if she was only following orders or actually believed in them, it didn't matter that just because she wasn't on Iridonia she was elsewhere, that didn't really concern her... the fate of the universe politics bored more than angered her. She had been angry because she had lost a friend, and everything she had known about her life had changed the day the First Order flag was raised over Iridonia. Deep in thought she hadn't realized that she had been gently rubbing her cheek against one of the girl's Lek and instead of falling still or pulling away she whispered into the darkness.
"Your skin feels lovely... Its so smooth and..."She wanted to say wet... but that didn't seem to be right - and the mix up made her cheeks flush even in the cold - and so fell silent and still at the same time, half embarrassed and half not wanting to insult her after what they had been through, and what still lay before them.

Dah'lis could already feel herself warming up as Vasari lay down next to her. She felt the woman begin to gently move her hand up and down her side. But what really sent a shiver of excitement and ecstasy was when the woman started to interact with her Lekku. Did she know what she was doing? That Lekku were highly sensitive organs? Or did she assume that since she was a half-breed, it wouldn't act the same? Either way a soft moan escaped the woman's lips as she felt herself starting to tingle with anticipation. The Knight did nuzzle her face into the Sith's neck and as she continued to touch her head tentacles, Dah'lis felt herself starting to kiss her companion's neck softly. Next she could feel her hands, as if with minds of their own starting to explore the body next to her. Rolling over off her back and onto her side so she could feel her breasts push up against Vasari. Breathless, Dah'lis paused and whispered into the black and red neck her lips had been caressing. You are so strong, but soft in all the right places... A dangerous combination... Then Dah'lis gave a light bite on the Sith's neck, hoping to get a similar reaction to what the Vasari had been doing to her.

Vasari was half surprised by the sounds of pleasure the girl made, and the way she almost instantly melted into her side. She didn't know what she had done to provoke such a reaction but she had barely enough time to process the sudden change in her behavior before she felt the girls lips upon her neck. A soft exhale escaped her lips gracing the lek beneath her cheek with a warm caress of her breath. Dah'lis moved within her arms and after a moment she could feel the woman's breasts press against her body, her skin was still cold to the touch, but there was a warmth that radiated from the girl's chest and Vasari felt her hearts beat a little faster, getting her own blood pumping a little. She was about to reply when she felt the girl's teeth scratch and bite lightly into the side of her throat, she exhaled a gain the briefest hint of a moan escaping her lips before she returned the kiss against the only bit blue skin nearby, her headtail, still not realizing the full effect such attention on the organ would give. As far as Vasari knew they were used to sense pheromones and for a sort of non-verbal communication beneath the water.
Vasari's hands moved lower onto the girl's hip pulling her off the cold floor of the lift and onto her lap, her other hand now able to move up her other side as well as the zabrak wrapped the lovely half-breed in a gentle but warm embrace, pulling their bodies closer to eachother now than they were before. She wasn't sure what had caused the sudden burst of lustful action from the girl but she was not going to turn it down, everything about the woman now in her arms spoke of beauty and passion and sex - from the way she dressed to the way she looked at her when she spoke - even though she couldn't see it now, she could feel it.
"I wasn't expecting such passion so soon in the relationship... what those First Order boys not giving you enough attention?"

A shock of bliss went coursing through the blue creature as her head tails received even more attention. Dah'lis didn't resist as she was moved to the lap of Vasari. A smile still on her lips as she had gotten the reaction she had looked for from the Sith. Now the Knight wrapped her legs around behind the Sith, and giving her a slight squeeze between her thighs. Reaching a hand up she brushed down the Zabrak's right cheek, down her neck to her chest, where her hand lingered for a bit before cupping her breast and squeezing. From what the woman said, it was clear she didn't know all that Lekku could do. And now she would give an example. Dah'lis' thumb flicked around Vasari's already hard nipple. You should read up more on Twi'lek physiology before touching a lek like that. And trust me, if the First Order boys were like you, I wouldn't have time to go chasing Muuns across the empire. Her voice was breathless and barely above a whisper, as her other hand wrap around behind Vasari to hold her as close as possible. Then with the passion that can only come from the deepest of burning desires her blue lips met the red lips of her companion.

Vasari wrapped her cloak around the two of their bodies, the Zeyd-cloth cloak did little to shield them from the cold without, but it did a rather lovely job of keeping their body heat in, and with the blue skinned beauty wrapping her long legs around Vasari's waist and playing with her breasts in the way she was Vasari's body heat was rising enough to warm them both quite nicely. Vasari's body shivered a little when Dah'lis flicked at her nipple and then she put it all together, and as if to test her theory raised her hand to one of the larger headtails and slowly ran her fingers down the length of the organ caressing it gently all the way down to the very tip. She made mental note to do just that, and hunt down up a book on Twi'lek physiology as soon as soon as she returned to Iridonia.
"I've met one that may be worth someones time..."
She started but before she could finish the thought the woman raised her hand to her cheek and pulled Vasari's lips into her own. The kiss was cold for only a moment until their lips warmed each others, but even the cold touch of the Half-twi'lek woman's lips was relaxing, and filled her with desire. She brought a hand up to cup Dah'lis' cheek while the other drifted down to her breast caressing it gently searching for her nipple beneath the fabric of the body suit she wore.
She had hardly considered their surroundings and when their lips finally parted and Vasari's senses focused enough on what was going on around her she noticed that the whir of electricity powering the repulsors had ceased and they had reached the ground floor of the mine. Had it really been twenty minutes already... how long had they spent in eachothers arms? how long had that kiss lasted? She pulled back a little... hesitantly, but with the surety that they couldn't stay here, and if she didn't stop what she was doing now they wouldn't be on their way any time soon.
"We should.. mm... keep moving... I dont know if they will follow us down here, but..."
She let the thought trail off as she shifted her weight and lifted the smaller girl to her feet, still holding her body tightly against her own keeping her wrapped inside the warmth of her cloak for another moment, a part of her that wasn't very rational not wanting the moment they had shared to end just yet...

Oh- by the stars! Was the result of Vasari's little test on her lekku. The knight was only able to keep herself from collapsing due to being supported by the Sith. Her heart now racing, she made sure to savor every moment of that lift ride. Holding on to the Zabrak like her life depended on it, Dah'lis could feel her lust building as her hands continued to explore the curves of Vasari's body. But soon the moment of bliss was interrupted as the reality of their surroundings was brought back into focus. Being stood up on her shaking legs, Dah'lis could feel how wet she had gotten. Breathing heavily she knew it was the correct thing to keep moving, but her body wasn't getting the memo. Finally she worked up enough control over herself that she allowed herself to indulge in one more pleasure. As she spoke her hands wrapped around Vasari's waist and moved lower, grasping her firm butt in both hands and squeezing. Yes, we'll keep moving, but trust me, this isn't over. Then she let go of Vasari's ass and took a step back for the sake of keeping things moving and not distracted again.

Vasari made a mental note not to touch the blue skinned woman's headtails again... unless they had the time to devote to following that action through to a more fitting ending. Vasari's hands lowered to release her but not before Dah'lis pressed against her body and grabbed her butt leaving her with the promise of more later. Her core tensed and she could feel the product of the woman's focused attention on her thighs as she gave the darkness a shaky smile and a nod, not trusting her voice enough to speak. She knelt and retrieved the girl's gauntlet, handing it to her in the darkness before taking her by the hand and guiding her out of the Lift, then releasing her as she considered which path they would take.
"The first thing miners always do when they dig this deep is cut a relief tunnel back to the surface, generally in a different direction and generally not as drastic. The tunnel is East of here... but when i saw the map in the Office up there there was a dark spot with a symbol on it I did not recognize to the North. That part of the mine hasn't been worked in many long years it seemed. I think that what I am looking for could be down there..."
She shifted a little using these moments to plan but also to pull her mind back into order and off the soft skin of the half-Nautolan beauty. As her mind began to refocus itself she reached out towards the north, there was a tunnel there and a great presence of... something emanating from the distance, but the presence was not familiar to her. Reading about using these abilities and actually knowing the feelings themselves were different things. She had spent most of her life with her nose in a book, and it had taught her a great deal, but it couldn't teach her instinct and intuition - that only came with experience.
"I want to check it out... but... I dont know what is down there. There is something but... its presence is faint and I've never felt anything like it before. Its old... ancient i would venture to guess. But i cannot tell if it centers around a living being, or like on my homeworld it is a place of power... It, could be dangerous?"
Vasari lifted the inflection on her tone as she turned it into a question. Technically this was her mission, the reason why she was here... but she had told Dah'lis that she would get her safely to the rendezvous with her men, and this could hinder that, and so she put the option to the Knight-errant to follow her into the dark, or not.

Putting her gauntlets back on, the woman now felt warmer. Enough so that she could focus less on her body temperature and more on reaching out with the Force... Once her own mind was back in order that is. She felt the presence too. It was foreboding that something like that would be so far under the earth. She stepped forward when Vasari expressed her last statement as a question. Taking the red and black tattooed hand of the Zabrak, Dah'lis squeezed it as if to say 'I'm seeing this through.' Then she unclipped her saber from her belt and ignited the blade. We'll find out together.

Vasari smiled in the dim silver light, taking a moment to look over the girl's features now that she was actually able to see her again. She bit her lip half in appreciation, half in self chastisement and shook her head once to clear her thoughts and to focus on her instincts, not her baser desires. Her eyes narrowed and she nodded in determination and began to lead them north. It didn't take them long before they found a half collapsed mine shaft post that marked the entry to the tunnel they were going to take. After some time investigating the fallen beams she came to the conclusion that it had been done intentionally to keep miners from accidentally taking that passage. This was intentional... people may have not been down this shaft for a hundred years or more. She reached out and touched the broken timber and tried to get a read off the living force, but it was far too old for her limited sight.
Not allowing herself to be dismayed she carefully climbed under the broken beam and through to the other side of the collapse where the tunnel was more or less in tact and in good order. She ignited her own blade so that Dah'lis could shot off hers and still have light enough to climb through the narrow gap before the two of them made their way onward. It didn't take long before the tunnel began to narrow and the walls became more jagged with rough cut rock and the occasional flicker of light off one crystal or another. Most of it was quartz she could tell by the way the light refracted but as the pressed on the refractions began to change hue and one caught her eye enough to stop. She tilted her head slightly examing the wall and a small piece of uncut rock before lowering her blade to the wall and carving into the rock. The rock melted beneath the searing hot blade almost instantly and it didn't take long at all for Vasari to carve out what she had been looking for. She reached over with her gloved hand and with some effort pried the large piece of uncut gem from the scorched wall. She held it while it cooled and then turned and offered the gem to Dah'lis. It was a large uncut diamond about the size of her closed fist. Vasari smiled cheerily at the girl and then pressed onward into the darkness once again.

Following closely behind Vasari, Dah'lis was surprised by the sudden gift passed to her. A large diamond. One she knew was not the result of slave labor and thus she could appreciate. Holding this gift tightly she smiled down at it and blushed as her eyes looked up and met Vasari's. And as a sign of her gratitude, she leaned up and gave the sith a kiss on the cheek before they moved on. Dah'lis thought about how the mission had gone so far, and despite being forced underground and separated from her troopers, it was a damn fine mission.
