Maryse listened to Braenden lay out the cold hard facts of what they had faced in the past and are now facing in the present. Like the fact that they may not be able to prevent Ralltiirs fall to Brithomar and the Cinn Ion. The fact that numerous Cinndao, and Cinn Ion, lives had been lost throughout the decades and centuries of fighting this senseless war. Facts like bombing Brithomars stronghold would do no good unless they wanted to level half of Grallia along with it. Facts about Brithomars political aspirations to gain control of Ralltiir town by town and city by city.
Maryse knew the facts all too well and had actually thought about what could happen if Ralltiir, as a whole, fell into Cinn Ion hands. Contingency plans had been set in place months ago when they first caught wind of the Cinn Ion being on the planet. Some Cinndao, and even some human, families had even been moved off the planet to more secure locations. Those that wanted to, and were willing to, stay and fight had stayed. Those that wanted to leave had also done so - but that was just a very small portion of the millions of people that lived on the planet.
Sighing inwardly, she leaned forward while folding her arms and resting them on the edge of the table. "Believe it or not, Braenden, I have thought about all of that day in and day out. I have thought about the sacrifices that are needed, of the lives already lost, of the lives that will be lost. Not a day goes by, in all these long years, that I haven't looked at the people around me and know that a good number of them won't survive this and it tears me apart inside....but I continue on because I see something in their eyes. I see hope. Hope that this will one day be over and we can be united as a people as we once were, many millennia ago, and were always meant to be. Together, with this alliance, we can aid in that hope for Ralltiir, for the Cinndao, and for the other species that call this planet their home." Pausing for a moment, she leaned back in the booth seat with her arms folded across her chest while she contemplated her next words.
"As for Brithomar suspecting anything with Alexis, or using the super soldiers to draw us out....I have also thought of that possibility. Which is why I have limited the contact with her to keep any suspicions low. Though from what Alexis has told me, I think that if he suspects anything with her then he will probably use her feelings for Shayla against her first before he tried the super soldiers, or anything else, to draw us out. Am I wrong in this thought?" Maryse held Braendens gaze with a questioning look in her eyes while she lifted the mug in front of her to have a sip of the caf within.

He nodded in acknowledgement of her response, glad that she was well aware of the risks and sacrifices that would need to be made, which was sometimes a rare trait amongst the Cinndao. At the very least, this alliance would prove useful to his end game then, and what ever designs that Maryse and her group had for the war as a whole. Like that, their deal was sealed with silent agreement, with neither side needing to voice that they would work together from here on out, instead, the discussion was turned to Alexis. He had managed to contain himself when she spoke of her feelings for Shayla, of her desire to help her escape, an idea he had been and still was against considering the risks it posed =Braenden Morviael= Given Brithomar's current mind set? If he does suspect Faith from here on out, he will use Shayla. But I think the super soldiers are just him testing the waters, to see what you do. Your best thought, would be to never assume he will use the most obvious target, in the case Shayla. Focusing on it, will allow him to keep your attention there, as he trickles down rumours about something else. Do not under estimate the threat these soldiers will present, especially once war breaks out...

It seemed the deal of an alliance was sealed with a silent agreement between Braenden and Maryse. It was a bit of a relief for Maryse since realizing that each couldn't do this on their own. Strength in numbers, right? She just hoped they had enough numbers to fight the rising tide of Brithomar and his soldiers, and the rest of the Cinn Ion for that matter. Pushing those thoughts to the back of her mind for now, she listened to Braenden say that he thought the super soldiers were just Brithomars way of testing the water so to speak, and to not underestimate the man. Agreeing with Braenden with a silent nod, Maryse finished her caf and set the cup to the side.
"I never underestimate anyone, Braenden. I haven't stayed alive this long by doing so. And nobody worth their salt would assume the use of the most obvious target, but maybe that's also where we're faltering. Maybe the most obvious target is just a decoy, but then again, maybe it's the real target. We have no way of knowing until he actually makes a move - and therein lies our problem; we just don't know for sure where his next move will be. We can only speculate that it will be Salibury because of the information from our informants and the fact that it sits across from his current position."
Holding Braenden's gaze for a moment, she then gave a small wave of her hand as if to brush all that aside. Sitting back against the booth seat, she continued her speaking in a soft tone. "Make no mistake, Braenden. He will use Alexis and Shayla. He will use the super soldiers against anyone who stands against him - Cinndao or not. He will use the citizens of this planet, and any other planet he may gain before this is all over. He will do all of that....especially if he even thinks that there's a traitor in his midst.
One way or another, even if we all live or die....this has to end here, on Ralltiir, before he can gain control of the whole planet."
She paused, glancing around the slowly emptying room of the café. There was still a handful of patrons in the building, oblivious to the fact that their lives were about to be touched by a war they neither knew about, nor had a choice in taking part in. A civil war that had seemingly, and rather silently, been brewing for the better part several millennia now. A civil war between two factions of the same species of people with each vying for a definitive victory over the other. If the Cinndao won it would mean peace for the species. If the Cinn Ion won, it would mean hardship, suffering, and death for anyone of Cinndao heritage that had mixed blood.
Sighing softly, Maryse stood, Mara following suit, and placed a few credits on the table then met Braendens gaze again, handing him a comlink number. "Thank you for meeting with me, Braenden....and agreeing to form an alliance. I'll be in touch, and we'll be ready to move whenever you and your people are." With a short bow, she and Mara exited the café and disappeared among the bustling midday crowd.

Braenden gave a nod of both understanding and goodbye once Maryse was finished talking and took her leave. He then let out a long breath then. An alliance had been formed, and with it, a very private declaration of war. Dark days were coming to Ralltiir, and before it could be stopped, the armada of the Cinn Ion would be unleashed. The horde would spread across the surface and engulf it. But ultimately, the light would vanquish it. But not before the darkness had first won =Braenden Morviael= Well, it looks like we're in quite the situation now Jessie...
=Jessie Caird= It's about normal for the trouble you usually land us in...
=Braenden Morviael= Don't I know it... come on, we better get back to Grallia... Jessie nodded, as Braenden added his own credit contribution. The pair made their way out of the cafe and back to the parking structure, before driving back to Grallia

The farms of this area were very prosperous, prosperous enough get the attention of Moffs and Grand Moffs. Grand Moff Thull was always looking for resources. Aid fleets needed more supplies than most other forces their size. They not only had to feed themselves, but feed those they encountered and were providing aid to. The Grand Moff sent her most trusted Aide in a shuttle to meet with the larger farms to see what they could contribute. They landed and the Annelise commissioned a speeder to to go through the area.

There were a lot of good options here, unfortunately, the aide fleet had become more well known. While this was a goal and helped with recruiting, it also meant that the farmers knew the level of demand and their prices reflected that. The large farms had all met togethers and made moves not to get into a bidding war. Annelise would have to get creative.

She went looking for the smaller farms and conglomerates, picking the right one would benefit both parties perfectly. It could elevate the farm to being a major player in the sector, employing more people, and raising their standards. It would also be nice for the Fleet to have some reliable production. There were also major risks involved. That farm may not be capable of growth, they could try to back track the deal, they may not be able to get the workers, or they may not be able to meet the supply. In addition it is always dangerous to count on one place for supply. The aide kept all this in mind as she looked.
