=Alexis Faith Zaerden= Thank you Jessie, but I am sure I can find my way up the stairs myself... Alexis gave a bow of her head, before moving into the apartment past Jessie and looking up to the balcony where Braenden was currently leaning, looking down at her. She gave him a nod, before swiftly making her way across the apartment and up the stairs to the second floor, before leaning on the balcony next to him, as she looked out over the first floor, keeping her voice low =Alexis Faith Zaerden= We need to talk... but first you need to know that you can trust me Braenden. Shayla... she means a lot to me...

Jessie had moved out of the way as Alexis made her way into the apartment, before resuming her cleaning duties in one of the rooms on the first floor, knowing better than to be in the main entrance area whilst Braenden and Alexis talked. Braenden had watched Alexis as she entered the apartment and made her way towards the stairs, before losing sight of her for a moment as she ascended to the second floor, before joining him on the balcony. He glanced over at Alexis as she spoke, having been taken a little off balance by her comments, somewhat unsure what to make of them. Was this some ploy by Brithomar to try root out his plan to attempt to rescue Shayla, that Alexis had actually overheard earlier when she had visited him. It wasn't like he had any reason to believe Alexis was working for anyone else so far, for now perhaps it was best to ride this one out and see where it went. He then looked back out from the balcony again, resuming his composure =Braenden Morviael= Shayla means a lot to me as well. But I imagine that it's not in the same way... As for trusting you, saying that my daughter means a lot to you will not gurantee I am going to spill the beans on what ever convoluted conspiracy Brithomar is expecting me to tell you about. He is growing soft if he is sending his lap dog to try root out enemies...

Alexis would have bet everything she owned that the way her and Braenden felt about Shayla were indeed vastly different, and not in the ways Braenden would assume. Perhaps what she had initially assumed were maternal feelings, were in fact feelings of attraction to someone she had bonded with in a circumstance that was the most likely of all. It was the most unlikely thing, just as Alexis knew Braenden trusting her was in this situation, especially considering she had not oft brought good news. She wasn't entirely sure there had been too much forethought into why Braenden would trust her, but Alexis put that down to the fact Maryse was most likely more concerned with ensuring Shayla's safe escape, especially since the plan involved using Zion as the kidnapper. If this was to work, she would need to be level with Braenden and tell him the truth, but then the risk lay in whether or not Braenden would use this as a way of currying favour with Brithomar. Maryse had been doubtful that Braenden would not put Zion in danger knowingly, but Alexis was still unsure if Maryse underestimated Brithomar, considering some of the more bold moves he had been making as of late. Well, there wasn't really any other way around this, and Maryse wanted to meet with Braenden, so she needed to fulfill her orders =Alexis Faith Zaerden= It's not Brithomar who sent me this time, and you can cut the BS, I know about your plan to free Shayla. It's the reason Maryse sent me, She wants to meet with you, preferably in Ettam or Cambrielle. She wants to help... as do I...

Braenden froze, just for half a second, as Alexis revealed that she had indeed overheard the plan earlier, and that Maryse had sent her to seek an audience with him with regards to his plan. He hadn't seen Maryse in more years than he cared to remember, but she probably still looked the same now as she did back then, at least for the most part, maybe a different hair style to be sure. He shook his head to clear his thoughts, as he turned slightly towards Alexis, trying to figure out just exactly what she was in this grand scheme of things. If she was working for Maryse, then it was very likely that she was a spy for the Cinndao, which also meant Brithomar was very much aware of this fact, which would also mean he was also using her. That still left the question of whether or not he was wholly able to trust her word on this matter, after all, this was not beneath Brithomar to try pull such an elaborate scheme. He needed to carefully navigate this situation, just so that if she was telling the truth, there would be back up, but if this was purely Brithomar's plan to gain some more leverage, he would have a perfectly good explanation behind it =Braenden Morviael= There is a lot that could go wrong with this Alexis. After all, you do work for Brithomar, wouldn't your involvement endanger this escape plan? I guess at the same time you could provide intel on his movements that even I don't know about... Just make sure you consider wanting to be involved and the risks it could pose... That aside, let Maryse know I'll meet her in Ettam...

She'd had a feeling Braenden would be cautious about trusting her, though she hadn't expected him to fully trust her anyway, so it came as no surprise that he was acting the way he was. Regardless though, he was at least entertaining the idea of meeting with Maryse, which meant that perhaps they had some kind of history together, not that it was really any of her business. As to her own involvement being a risk, she was more then certain she could keep this a secret from him, after all, she'd kept secrets from him before now =Alexis Faith Zaerden= Everyday I stay here, is a risk to my own life. The greatest risk would be to do nothing and just let Shayla be locked away forever. You're gunna need me, especially since I can tell you of Brithomar's movements. If you intend to meet her in Ettam, you'll find her in Burana's Cafe, make sure you're there... With that, Alexis pushed herself off the balustrade, before making her way down the stairs and across to the front door, briefly pausing to wave goodbye to Braenden and Jessie. With her little messenger mission completed, she made her way back down beneath the city, to the Cinn Ion complex, to continue going about the rest of her duties

Braenden had bid Alexis farewell, before having retired for the evening himself, opting to go meet with Maryse the next day, since it was already getting late and Ettam was a fair trip away. He spent the next morning taking care of his duties, which involved various tid bits of paperwork, and giving an inspection of the local garrison, before finally checking in with the various commanders. It was about mid day, and he had finished off his lunch, when he decided to get his things together and make the trip to Ettam, since he had no other duties to attend to for the day. He was carrying a small backpack as he headed across the lounge room towards the door, when it happened, an image of two crystals flashed into his mind moments before an intense burning pain spread from the middle of each of his shoulder blades. He feel down to his right knee as he clutched at his back and closed his eyes, before Jessie came rushing over and knelt down before him, placing her hand on his shoulder in an effort to try and comfort him=Jessie Caird=Master Braenden! Are you alright? Jessie suddenly let out a gasp and pulled back from Braenden as he slowly opened his eyes, revealing a change in colour of them from his usual light blue, to one being a deep sapphire blue and the other a deep ruby red. It had been a long time since she saw such a colouration in his eyes, but even still, it did not put her anymore at ease having seen them before, and every time it happened it still gave her the chills. Braenden could tell she was frightened, but there was nothing he could do but let it pass, as vague images flashed into his mind from two different perspectives, both showing the same events=Braenden Morviael=They're close to each other... Jessie, the match today... =Jessie Caird=It's between Lord Valefor and Lord Aster... But... =Braenden Morviael=He must be there watching it... Braenden grunted as he blinked a couple times, causing his eyes to return to their normal colour, as Jessie moved around to his back and lifted his shirt enough to see the two heart shaped gems that were embedded in his shoulder blades glowing. They then returned to their usual lustre a cuple moments later, allowing Braenden to stand up again as Jessie let go of his shirt, before he rolled his shoulders a little, to ease the slight discomfort. Jessie stood back in front of him, as he shouldered his backpack again=Jessie Caird=I'm sorry Master Braenden, I should have informed you of today's match... =Braenden Morviael=It's fine Jessie... I knew they were bound to meet again, especially since Vellaan has been living on Ralltiir for some time now, and Valefor did arrive a couple days ago. It's been a few years since I saw them last... Things might just get interesting around here soon... Come Jessie, we best be off. =Jessie Caird=Very well Master... Jessie gave a nod, before following Braenden as he lead the way to the lift and down to the carpark level, where they got into a speeder, with Braenden in the driver's seat. He started up the engine and they took off out of the underground carpark and out of Grallia, heading towards Ettam

Several dozen groups of transports came down from the fleet in orbit, landing in the spaceport long enough to drop off their occupnts and the cargo crates they had, before taking off again to allow the next lot of transports to land and do the same thing. Their passangers, which consisted of 1500 Storm Commandos, their 5 Colonel's, 4 Imperial Knights, and General Zahn himself, all made their way from the drop off point and quickly assimilated themselves in amongst the crowd that was boarding an AA-9 Coruscant Freighter. They each paid the trip fee, before boarding the ship, which took off a few minutes later, heading up into the orbit of Ralltiir

Life continued in Grallia, as Brithomar moved forward with his plans for the Cinn Ion. New recruits were trained, Cinn Ion members were seeded into positions of power. Slowly handing more and more control over to Brithomar. Braenden bided his time, doing as he was told, ensuring that Shayla lived another day and did not suffer for his actions

Grallia exploded with life when the Empire took over. Its spaceport, enormous in size, was bustling with activity as Imperial citizens came to visit the planet or to take up a new life here. After all, Ralltiir was well known for its financial services in the galaxy, it was now one of several major locations controlled by the Empire, giving it a strong grip within the galactic economy. As a result of this occupation and resulting annexation, financial persons found themselves drawn to the world and began setting up shop. Especially those from the Imperial Economic Administration, run by Moff Ju'oda.

With the revival of an Imperial presence on Ralltiir, there came a renaissance of its society. Nobility of the Empire came to Ralltiir to take up exquisite real estate and invest their money wisely or wantonly. There was certainly a market for the exportation of marble. Quarries that dotted the landscape were bought up by the elite to serve their needs. They weren't as numerous as before, but new veins were found and mined for their value. Additionally, the financial institutions drew in the credits of any who sought to invest in banking, companies, and such. Ralltiir, notably, had investments in Rendili's shipyards and Imperial Fleetworks Ltd which was the overarching institution and conglomerate of the various independent shipyards such as Foerost and Bilbringi. Military investments were quite common compared to the more mercantile mindset of Brentaal IV, marking a stark contrast between the two despite their familiar presence in banking.

After their Upsilon has set down on the First Order base's landing pads, Lencho tells his squad that after they have looked after the shuttle and cleaned their weapons and armor they are free to do whatever they want with the rest of the day, and then heads off to make his post-mission report to their C.O. so that he has the rest of the day free himself.
Returning to Menagerie Squad's barracks after making his report, during which Lencho learned that he and his team are going to be detached and placed under the command of Lt. Colonel Roland Ferrum within a week's time. Lencho knows Ferrum by reputation alone; the adopted son of the Steward of the Imperial Knights a former Imperial Knight himself that elected to pursue a career as a military engineer, Ferrum has made something of a reputation for himself by collecting an eclectic group of troops under his command that includes two platoons of Yuuzhan Vong.
His squad has, predictably, completed their assigned tasks by the time Lencho makes it to the barracks, only Bhavesh and Sairla still around, though the fact both are in their dress uniforms suggests that they are on their way out into the city for dinner. Bhavesh and Sairla have been in a relationship for the past year, which isn't strictly forbidden as they are of the same rank, and as they have always been portraits of professionalism while on duty and are discreet enough about their relationship that only a few members of the squad other than Lencho himself know about it, Lencho has never had any cause to discourage the fraternization. Deciding to wait until the squad is all together to make them aware of the upcoming change, Lencho gives Bhavesh and Sairla a wave as he heads to his quarters to look after his weapons and armor before going to the mess to grab some chow.

Possessed of a first off, last on mentality, Bhavesh is the last member of Menagerie Squad to board the Tikiarri, the squad's Upsilon, which Sairla will be piloting them to Coruscant in to join up with Lt. Colonel Roland Ferrum's forces. Like most of the other members of Menagerie Squad, Bhavesh's mood is pensive and downcast in light of the news of the Emperor's passing; though Bhavesh is a loyalist to the core, he has heard enough grumblings in the mess or barracks to suspect that the Emperor's son may have a rocky start to his reign until he has had a chance to prove himself and dispels the concern some enlisted troops and their commanding officers have about the fact the heir to the throne is an Imperial Knight despite the historical precedent for a member of that order to sit on the throne.
As the Tikiarri lifts off, Bhavesh shakes off his worries about the what might happens and what could bes so that he is untroubled by things he cannot control when Menagerie Squad will need to be more focused on proving themselves to Ferrum and those already under his command in the days ahead as they assume their duties. After stowing his gear, Bhavesh heads to the cockpit and settles into the co-pilots seat to help Sairla with the task of taking their Upsilon to Coruscant.
