They had been on this gods forsaken planet for close to a year now, or so it seemed, with no sign of the H.A.W.T crew yet. Okay the planet wasn't so bad. It was actually a nice planet with rolling hills and meadows, but the waiting sucked big time. Just how damn busy could an all women's transport crew possibly be? Crez shook his head as he, for what seemed like the millionth time, looked over the information that had been supplied about H.A.W.T.. The transport service employed several women of Hapan descent, a Farghul, and a few near-humans known as "Ageless".
He knew very little about the Ageless, other than what his mission outline stated about them being...well...ageless, and rather frail looking too. While he was familiar with the Farghul species, he had met very few from that race. He couldn't figure out why Garris had them running all around the galaxy chasing after this rather boring transport crew. Why was this such an important mission and what was there to gain from it? The only conclusion that he could come to was that maybe Garris wanted the crew for a job. Sitting down on a nearby chair, he read the mission details again.
Over on the other side of the rented apartment, Rael and Vaal sat chuckling quietly at Crez. Crez hadn't been given the whole report as they had been, because Crez had one job to do on the mission: Be the muscle and not the brains of the operation. He wasn't known for his thinking skills, or lack thereof, anyway. Rael and Vaal knew the real reason Garris had sent them after the H.A.W.T. crew. Though they hadn't had that much contact with Garris, or the others, since they'd left their own headquarters a little over a year ago. Apparently the information hadn't changed though, because if it had then surely they would've been updated immediately. Based on the data given to them when they first started the mission, they knew for a fact that one of the women was a half blood Cinndao, and their orders were clear on what to do with her. The tricky part would come in finding out who the second woman was, and if she was a half blood or a pure blood. If she were a pure blood then they needed to find out where her loyalties lay. If she were half then it wouldn't matter because she'd be dead. Of course now that they had pretty much destroyed the womens HQ, thanks to Crez's over excitable nature when it came to explosives, they'd be lucky if the crew even made it planetside if they found out about the destruction beforehand. It was a shame really, since it was a nice HQ and the women obviously knew how to live in style when they were on the planet. It used to have nearly everything someone would want in a headquarters. A nice big kitchen, a huge common area with a giant holoscreen on the wall, a game room, office spaces that used to be equipped with holoscreens, monitors, computers, etc., numerous private chambers, enough to accommodate a growing crew, a Galactic Olympic size swimming pool, it even had a hot tub big enough for several or more people. All of that just....gone. All because Crez, decided to rig the place with explosives - just in case someone tried to ambush them, he said.
As it turned out, Crez would be the one to ambush them, and himself, in the process. It happened one night, a little over a month ago, when Crez was stumbling around the HQ in the dark and he tripped off one of the timer wires, giving them exactly a minute to get as far away from the building as possible - which happened to not be quite far enough. They had all received some nasty cuts, bruises, a few burns, and some shrapnel in their hasty escape, but escape they did, and now weeks later they were thankfully none the worse for wear for it. They had all agreed to NOT report this little mishap to Garris just yet, at least not until they had completed their mission and were on their way home.
Luckily the local authorities just chalked the destruction up to 'accidental explosions due to mishandled/mislabled explosive devices', or so the local Holonews reported, and continued on to investigating other more important crimes since nobody had been killed in the blast and no other buildings had been damaged because the H.A.W.T. HQ was on the outskirts of the city. Meanwhile, Rael and Vaal made mental notes to NEVER let Crez have access to things that go 'BOOM!' again. At least not until they had their quarry in hand on the next mission. They did, however, keep a close eye on the pile of rubble that now occupied the space where the women's HQ had once been. There was always the curious citizens who would go picking through the debris to see if they could find anything of value to take home to use or to sell for a few extra credits but other than that, there had been no sign of the women who had actually lived in the fallen building. All they could do was wait and see if the women would finish up whatever the hell it was they were doing around the galaxy and return to the planet.

The Shadow Guard sat in hiding as he watched the three Cinn Ion, members of a different group, from afar. The Elementis brothers had assigned him to this particular job a couple months before hand, telling him to watch out for the HAWT crew and the other Cinn Ion. Given the HAWT crew had been off working for a while he had more time however to watch the Cinn Ion, and what a fine mess they had made, the whole HQ had been destroyed in what could only be likened to an event of mythological proportions. He'd done his best to recover any computer data after the explosion, but they had been well and truly corrupted beyond rescue, a fact that he hoped would not be made known to the crew too early. He was just glad he was not on that team, else he would sure as hell have hoped the explosion would have killed him, since the Elementis brother's would have made him wish he had died in the explosion. For now though, he sat sat and waited and watched

It was late afternoon, the sun hanging in the western sky as the XS-800 light freighter, the Black Widow flew over the city of Mecca and towards the outskirts of the cityscape. Me'lia narrowed her eyes when the area of what used to be the H.A.W.T. HQ came into view."What. The. Fu...ngi sniffing....hey, uhm Jinxy, you may want to come take a look at this...." Me'lia called over her shoulder, never taking her eyes off the vision in front of her. Jinx glanced up from her datapad with with a curious look on her face as she stood and moved to stand beside a seated Me'lia. Eyes widening, and momentarily speechless, she saw what Me'lia saw - a gigantic pile of rubble where the HQ once stood. Narrowing her eyes, Jinx slammed her hand down on the console with a surprising amount of control over her rising anger."Sonofa....what the hell happened to our headquarters?"The question was rhetorical but the shock of seeing the devastation prompted it anyway. Me'lia glanced over to Jinx before looking back to the scene below as she pushed a button to run a scan on the area."Well, honestly it looks like it was bombed with as big as the debris field is....and scans are showing vague traces of explosive residue." Pulling her hand away from the console, Jinx flexed her fingers, clenching her jaw as she studied the landscape. Alanna and Ivy had joined them on the bridge and upon seeing the destruction below, looked at each other silently for a moment before Ivy spoke."Nobody stayed behind on this trip did they?""No. Everyone went with us this time, thank the gods....though they all went there own ways on Coruscant and Corellia...." Jinx answered, casting a glance to the sisters before folding her arms across her chest, her anger somewhat abated for the time being. Chewing on her lower lip, her eyes scanned the ground for a place to land nearby the rubble heap. Spotting a place, she put her hand on Me'lia's shoulder and pointed with a finger of the other hand to a nearby empty field close to the HQ. Nodding her head, Me'lia and one of the remaining crew members, Jess, maneuvered the ship down to the vacant field, but something told Me'lia to keep the engines powered just in case they ran into trouble.
Alanna had remained silent, reaching into the Force and drawing on it to see if she could get a sense of what had went on while Jinx and the rest of the crew had been away from the planet. They had all checked their personal weapons while the ship was landing and when the ship was settled on the ground, Alanna looked at all of them as she finally began to speak."We must be careful. The Force is clouded and we don't know what led to this. While H.A.W.T. may not have enemies that you know about, something certainly went on here that would suggest otherwise.
Ivy, I need you to do some stealth recon around the whole area within a two to three mile radius. Me'lia, Jess, please stay with the ship and be ready to take off at a moments notice. Jinx and I will check out the debris field of the HQ. If any of you suspect anything, at all, comlink us immediately." Everyone nodded in agreement as Ivy pulled up the hood of her dark cloak then slipped out of the ship into the evening air of Drall and effectively disappeared into the shadows of the setting sun. Alanna and Jinx left the ship and made their way to the destroyed remains of the building, using the evening shadows, the rubble piles, and the Force as cover while they began their investigation....--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------OOC info:* Me'lia's speech color * * Ivy's speech color ** Jinx's speech color ** Alanna's speech color *

While Alanna and Jinx made their way down to the rubble of what had once been the H.A.W.T. headquarters, Ivy went off in the opposite direction. She checked every building within the suggested three mile radius of the destroyed HQ. Luckily most of the buildings, and there weren't that many really, were run down and abandoned - the perfect places for bandits, homeless people, and enemies to hole up in. There were a couple of small four story apartment buildings within the three mile radius also, but instead of wasting time going door to door of each apartment she paused, reaching into the Force to sense if there were any possible forcelings and/or Cinndao.
Most of the occupants of both buildings weren't Force sensitive, and since trying to sense other Cinndao was a hit or miss amongst that many beings, there didn't seem to be any of them there either. She couldn't sense any threats from any of the occupants so she decided to move on completing the radius. She ended up back near the destroyed HQ where she set up sensor scans hidden amongst the rubble all around the perimeter before perching herself on top of one of the few remaining, albeit damaged, buildings surrounding the complex. The building appeared to be the hangar bay of the complex and it gave her the perfect view of the rubble below. She would be able to see anyone, or anything, coming or going from the site. Smirking to herself, she caught sight of Alanna and Jinx picking their way through a pile of rubble near the middle of the site. She sent Alanna a silent message, through the mental link they shared, letting her know that she was back and that she had set up sensors around the blast field. She also relayed that there didn't seem to be any immediate threats in the vicinity - yet. Alanna smiled to herself as Ivy used their connection to inform her of her findings, or lack thereof, and replied in kind before turning her attention back to the task at hand, though she kept vigilant of their surroundings by glancing around every so often to make sure they were still alone.
In the waning light of the evening, Alanna and Jinx surveyed the ruins of the HQ as they picked up random bits of metal and computer parts here and there to get a better look at them before dropping them back into the piles. They already suspected that people had most likely been scavenging through the remains of the building looking for anything they could salvage or sell. Not to mention that the Drall Authorities had probably gone through the debris also, looking for clues as to why the building suddenly exploded. There was very little, if anything, of value left. It was mostly just dirt, rocks, twisted metal beams, and a few broken pieces of furniture. Though once in a while one of them would find a damaged datastick, which they pocketed so they could see if there was any useful information on it when they got back to the ship. They had even found a few broken holocams, that were used for security, and took the holocards out of them so they could check them later on - on the off chance that the cam had taken pics/vids of the culprits. The broken cams had been buried about foot or two under the rubble which was probably why they were still there. Either that or the authorities and scavengers thought they were totally beyond repair and didn't deem them valuable enough to take with them. Whatever the reasoning, the cams were still there and now hopefully Alanna and Jinx could get some information from the small holocards inside them.
Alanna had come across a surprisingly undamaged holopic of the H.A.W.T. crew, buried under some dirt with the corner sticking out, and handed it to Jinx. Wiping the dust from it, Jinx looked it over with a small smile on her face. It was the whole H.A.W.T. crew and had been taken before everyone started leaving the group for various reasons. Hastily wiping her eyes, Jinx carefully tucked it away in the knapsack she carried. The dream of having her own crew was not dead, it was merely on hold for now. She held on to the belief that one day the business would be up and running again even if she knew somewhere in the back of her mind it might never happen....well not in this lifetime anyway.
The sun had set behind the horizon leaving the two women to use the light of the local lamp posts dotting the area to continue rummaging through the debris field. Ivy remained atop the damaged hangar, hidden from view, watching over the site and ready to give aid if Alanna and Jinx should need it. Even though the site seemed abandoned, Ivy would bet anything that all was not what it seemed. She noted that there were the telltale signs of someone, or a few someones, already having picked through the HQ ruins. What bothered her was the fact that she kept getting a sense of foreboding, like there was someone, or something, watching. Stretching out her senses, she scanned the area for other auras though found nothing. Narrowing her eyes, she hid herself within the Force and took out a small datapad. The data pad was linked to the hidden sensors that she'd set up earlier around the perimeter of the site to pick up any intruders....

Raal had been looking out of the window of the rented apartment with a simple pair of macrobinoculars. He was doing a routine visual scan of the ruins of the H.A.W.T. HQ when he spotted two women near the middle of the rubble. Zooming in, he recognized one of the women as Alanna Shaewe. Knowing that where Alanna was, Ivy wouldn't be too far behind, he focused on the other woman. The woman had her back to the apartment building but even in the low light, and thanks to the night vision capabilities of the macrobinoculars, he could tell that she wasn't Ivy. While the woman appeared to have red hair, much like Ivy's, she was a few inches shorter. Abandoning the two women on the ground for a moment, he scanned the buildings for any sign of the other Shaewe woman and gave a frustrated grunt when he couldn't see anything because most of the buildings had at least a three foot ~mostly~ solid safety wall around the tops of their roofs. Ivy could be anywhere on any one of those buildings just waiting for a chance to pounce. Pointing the macrobinoculars down to the other two women again, he watched their progress through the debris. If he was right in his guess, the woman with Alanna was none other than the leader of H.A.W.T., Jinx....the halfblood Cinndao. The target. The only thing standing in their way was the Shaewe sisters, and he knew Ivy was lurking around somewhere even if he couldn't see, or sense, her just yet. Without looking away from the scene, he called out over his shoulder to Vaal and Crez.=Raal="Hey you two may want to get off your asses. The Target is here. We need to go....NOW!."Vaal moved over to stand next to Raal and took out his own pair of macrobinoculars pointing them to where Raal was still looking. He sighted the lenses in on the rubble and saw two women. He recognized Alanna Shaewe right away and mentally cringed. If she was involved then he knew Ivy would be too. While one of the women on their own was bad, both of them meant trouble to the ninth degree. Taking the macrobinoculars away from his face, and tucking them back into a pouch at his side, he turned to Raal.=Vaal="So how are we going to do this? Just go down there, introduce ourselves and hope she surrenders? And why the hell is Alanna Shaewe here? You know where she is that Ivy's around somewhere too. I don't feel like getting my ass kicked by them again like last time on Corellia. I think I still have a piece of that door frame embedded in the back of my thigh from when Alanna blasted me through it."Raal chuckled at his brothers reminder of their last encounter with the Shaewe sisters. That was one hell of a fight and none of them walked away from it without the little physical reminders of the battle. Raal had gotten a few broken ribs, numerous other cuts and bruises and even a burn scar across his lower right side from Ivy taking a swipe at him with a shoto lightsaber that seemed to appear out of nowhere. Scratching his chin, he met Vaals stare and grinned."Don't tell me you're afraid of a little confrontation with Alanna Shaewe again. Besides, that little incident was almost five years ago. We've improved since then."=Crez="Yeah he's right. We've improved since then. We'll kick their asses this time! Let's see how they like a TD shoved down their throats!" While Raal laughed at Crez's confident statement, Vaal just shook his head at Crez's enthusiasm. Clearly the man had never tangled with either of those women and had no idea what they were up against. Glancing back to Raal, he began gathering up his weapons while he spoke. "Apparently you don't remember the nearly three weeks we both spent in the med ward once we got back to the base after that last fight with them. And apparently you forgot Garris' wrath after that. I don't know about you, but I don't feel like spending the next decade on some backwater planet fighting in those stupid battle camps that were suppose to 'build character' as he said. The last time was bad enough and it was only for a year."Raal looked thoughtful for a moment while they all prepared to go confront the women. He knew all too well the punishment that awaited them if they failed again. Though to be fair, that last meeting with Alanna and Ivy was the only time they had failed in the nearly seven hundred years they'd served Garris - and even then it wasn't a total fail. They had learned a few interesting things about the Shaewe sisters, like the fact that they fought with a fierce passion when cornered and their main weakness was each other. They had learned some of the fighting tactics of Alanna and Ivy and that the women would fight with anything and everything they could get their hands on if they somehow couldn't use their personal weapons. This actually impressed Raal, it meant they were inventive in their fighting style but it also meant that Raal, Vaal, and even Crez, would have to step up their game if they were to succeed in acquiring their target. They simply could not fail this time. If they did, it would mean the battle camps again....or worse. Instead of thinking about that right now, Raal chose to remain optimistic about this mission."Of course I remember the med ward and the battle camps. This time won't be like last time though. We have the upper hand this time and we have an explosives expert." He smirked with a wave of his hand toward Crez who grinned in response while he adjusted his knapsack on his shoulders. Vaal still looked a bit worried but shook his head in agreement."You're right, and we have the advantage of surprise. They don't know we're here yet, and by the looks of it they don't even suspect anyone is even watching them. Let's just get the target, find out who the other Cinndao is, if she's full blood or half blood, where her allegiance lies, and then get the hell off of this planet."With a quick nod of his head, Raal agreed and the three were soon on their way, masking their presence in the Force as they went.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------As they neared the ruins of the HQ, they split up with each going off in a different direction through the shadows in an attempt to surround Alanna and Jinx. When they reached the perimeter of the debris field they moved slowly, and semi silently, through the ruins with the noise of the city somewhat masking the noise of their movements. Having no idea of the motion sensors set up by Ivy around the perimeter though, they each breached the invisible lines thus alerting the women of their presence. Raal silently cursed when he saw Alanna glance around before moving over to Jinx and whisper something to her. The younger woman straightened up from the piece of twisted metal she was inspecting and nodded her head to whatever Alanna had said. Together, the two women began to move away from that particular section of the rubble with Alanna glancing over her shoulder every so often. He could see that she knew something was wrong so he waited, silently hoping that Vaal and Crez, especially Crez, would be cautious enough to do the same....-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------OOC info:*Raal's speech color**Vaal's speech color**Crez's speech color*

Alanna and Jinx had been picking through the ruins for hours now and had quite the collection of little odds and ends to show for it when Ivy clicked her comlink a couple of times alerting Alanna that someone had tripped the motion sensors. Casually drawing the Force around herself, Alanna looked around the shadowy landscape before moving over next to a kneeling Jinx. She continued to gaze around as she touched the younger woman on the shoulder while whispering.
"Someones here. I don't know who it is yet, but keep alert. Let's move to the next section."
Jinx stood up with a nod of her head and followed the other woman, her eyes darting around the ruins while they walked. She couldn't sense any other Forcelings nearby, but that could mean they were hiding their aura like Ivy was. They continued walking through the destroyed remains of the building, all the while Jinx kept alert as she drew on the Force and rested a hand on one of the guns at her side.
Meanwhile on the rooftop of the hangar, and not wanting to risk revealing herself just yet, Ivy kept herself hidden in the Force while watching the three other strangers move in on Alanna and Jinx on her datapad. She kept Alanna aware of the strangers positions by different numbers of near silent clicks on the comlink as they all moved through the rubble. This could turn into a sticky situation if the strangers proved to be hostile, and it seemed that was the case judging by the way they had fanned out to try to surround her sister and Jinx. Ivy was formulating an escape plan in the back of her mind while she studied the movements of the three strangers. On the ground, Alanna was also contemplating an escape plan since being surrounded was never a good thing in her experience....

On Board the Black Widow
Me'lia had been tracking Jinx, Alanna, and Ivy, via the security chips she had given each one of them, since they had left the ship and began their investigation of the rubble heap that used to be H.A.W.T. headquarters. Their 'images' appeared on the holoscreen as little red dots. As an extra added precaution, she had also informed them that she was sending out a small probe droid to follow them along in their endeavors. The images that the probe sent back from it's holocams were in real time and in color, which would automatically switch to night vision when it got dark enough, and she watched them from another holoscreen that was situated right next to the first one. It was almost like watching a holomovie unfold.
The probe had landed on the edge of the building that Ivy was on top of, and in the shadowy evening light it blended into the facade of the high edges of the building. It also had a 360 degree field of vision so Me'lia could see if anyone had followed the trio, and sure enough it picked up three other people, in different areas of the debris field, who seemed to be following/watching Jinx and Alanna. She was pretty sure the three unidentified people didn't know that Ivy was perched on the rooftop watching them as they seemingly surrounded the two women on the ground. She was also pretty sure that at least two of the three unidentified people didn't know that Ivy had set motion sensors all around the perimeter either. The other one seemed to know something was up when Alanna glanced up and looked around before moving over to Jinx and saying something to her.
As the two women moved on to another area of the rubble, Me'lia kept an eye on the three unidentified people. Pushing a button on a small transmitter in her hand, one of the probes cameras zoomed in on one of the strangers. Sitting up a little straighter in her chair, Me'lias eyebrows rose when she recognized one of the people as Raal Madrigaan, a member of the Cinn Ion and one of Garris' men. She knew that Vaal, his identical twin brother, had to be one of the other people because he and Raal never went on missions alone. Much like Alanna and Ivy, the brothers were always together. Narrowing her eyes at the screen, she pushed another button and the camera angle switched to one of the other figures. Zooming in, she saw that she was right. One of the other figures was indeed Vaal. A couple of the things that set the brothers apart was the fact that Vaal kept his hair longer and usually tied back at the nape of his neck and he also had a thin slightly jagged scar on the right side of his face running from his temple down to his jawline. Raal, on the other hand, had collar length hair and no visible facial scars.
Me'lia pushed the button and the camera moved yet again, zooming in on the third figure. She didn't recognize him but it was obvious he was with the brothers. Pursing her lips, Me'lia idly tapped her fingers on the console for a moment before standing up and temporarily leaving the cockpit. Upon returning a few moments later, dressed all in black clothing and strapping a belt to her hips that held two holsters with slugthrowers in them, she looked at Jess and spoke.
"Keep the ship powered up. I'm going to go check something out. Be back soon!" She called over her shoulder as she grabbed a hooded cloak off of the back of the chair she'd been sitting in, and a BFG from the weapons cabinet. Pulling on the cloak, she tucked a comlink into her pants pocket and a small datapad into one of the deep pockets of the cloak, then covered the BFG within it's folds, before exiting the ship.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, down at the rubble of the headquarters, Jinx and Alanna continued to inspect the debris while keeping a lookout for any trouble. Ivy still sat on the roof of the nearby building watching the dots move along her datapad. She glanced up every now and then toward the small probe droid that Me'lia had sent to make sure it was still there and still semi hidden. The sky darkened with nightfall so it was doubtful anyone else would notice the probe since it had hidden itself fairly well, blending in with it's surroundings. Streetlights had flickered on one by one hours ago, before the sun had fully set behind the horizon, but Ivy wasn't worried about the illumination from them. The light barely reached her since the poles were shorter than the roof she was on. Now, as the hours ticked by and the darkness of night fully set in, she waited patiently.
Jinx and Alanna had stopped picking through the rubble and now sat on a pile of duracrete sharing a couple of undamaged bottles of Corellian Ale that they had found in what Jinx thought used to be the kitchen area of the HQ. Her spirits had lifted a little after Alanna had found the holopic of the H.A.W.T. crew and she was confident that Me'lia could pull some kind of information from the holocards they had found in the cameras, so all in all, it hadn't been a bad day....well okay, finding your home in ruins was bad, but nobody had been hurt so she counted that as a good thing. She sighed softly as she looked over the landscape of the headquarters and caught a movement out of the corner of her eye about 20 yards away. Casually, she flicked a small pebble toward Alanna and tilted her head slightly in the direction of the movement. Alanna tipped up her bottle and took a drink while seemingly ignoring the pebble throwing, but all was not what it seemed. Alanna had subtly acknowledged Jinx with a slight eyebrow raise while she drained the last of the ale in the bottle. Tossing the bottle aside with a clink, she busied herself with standing up and raising her arms above her head in stretch while casting a sidelong glance in the direction Jinx nodded toward. She caught a brief glint of light off of something of a metallic color while she continued her stretching, this time bending at the waist and moving her arms down to touch her toes with her fingers and motioned with a forefinger for Jinx to move before she straightened up again and rested a hand on her hip.
Jinx realized what Alanna was doing and reached over to pick up her knapsack beside a rather wide and mangled beam that was sticking out of the ground about six feet. This effectively put Jinx's upper body behind the beam, leaving only her lower legs exposed to the intruders line of sight. Rummaging through the knapsack, she brought out a flash grenade and held it up for Alanna to see then rolled it over to the other woman. Smirking, Alanna crouched down in the shadow of the duracrete pile and picked up what would look like a rock to the intruder. While she was crouched she pushed the arming button on the grenade and with the fingers of her left hand still on the safety button, she slipped on a pair of heavily darkened sunglasses with her right hand then rubbed a finger under her eye as a gesture to Jinx to find something to cover her own eyes with. Jinx found a pair of dark speederbike goggles and slipped them over her eyes just in time to see Alanna rise with a burst of speed and throw the grenade in the direction of the intruder. When the grenade left Alannas hand, the timer had been set to ten seconds....

As the flash grenade left Alanna's and she was already turning on her heel in a flurry of motion. Grasping the back of Jinx's shirt, she pulled the younger woman to her feet in a rush and pushed her forward toward a small portion of wall that remained standing.
"Move it! Behind that wall, now!" She shouted to Jinx over the sound of the grenade exploding in the short distance away from them. Pushing Jinx ahead of her, they made it behind protective duracrete of the crumbling wall before dirt and debris started falling on the other side.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Up on the roof of the damaged hangar, and above the blast of the flash grenade, Ivy sat silently. She had heard the grenade go off seconds before and held her breath momentarily. Letting out the breath, she chanced a glance over the barrier wall of the rooftop. She saw that one of the three people closest in proximity to Alanna and Jinx was rolling around on the ground covering his eyes with his hands. Looking down to her datapad, she saw the other two had also stopped in their tracks. Smirking to herself, she put the datapad away and began to move quietly across the rooftop. When she came to the far edge, she saw one of the strangers below her and a little to the right. Quickly, she picked her way silently down the pile of rubble on that side of the building and landed a few feet behind the crouching man. Gathering the Force to her, she straightened to her full height, her right hand resting on the handle of a leather whip still attached to her belt.
"Do you always make it a habit to follow women around in the dark, ami?"
She saw the man spin around at the sound of her voice and she was ready. She had already unfurled the whip while she spoke, the cracking sound slicing through the air as the whip was meant to encircled his ankle in an attempt to bring the big man down.

Vaal, who had been circling Alanna and Jinx on the north side of the rubble, had caught sight of Raal falling to his knees then to his back with his hands covering is eyes after the grenade blast. Vaal had been lucky enough to be far enough away that the flash blast hadn't affected his eyes as it had Raal's. Rushing over to his twin, he knelt down beside Raal placing a calming hand on his brothers chest.
"Raal? Raal! Calm down! Let me see if your wounded!"
Raal quit flailing around and calmed down at his twins touch and let Vaal check him over. He already knew the grenade wasn't meant to harm or to kill, but to temporarily blind a victim. That didn't mean that it didn't hurt like hell to be on the receiving end of the flash. His eyes felt like they would explode due to the massive headache that was building behind them because of the flash. And when he did try to open them all he could see was little white dots. Struggling to a sitting position, he rubbed his eyes while Vaal checked him over for other wounds.
"Shoulda seen that one coming...."
Satisfied that Raal was okay other than the temporary blindness, Vaal sat back on the ground beside him, resting his arms on his knees with a cocky grin.
"You did see it coming, that's the problem. Remember to close your eyes next time, eh?"
Vaal nudged Raal with his shoulder, a teasing smirk on his face. Shaking his head, and blinking his eyes repeatedly, Raal muttered a retort as his sight slowly returned and the headache was turning into a dull thud.
"Smartass...."
Chuckling, Vaal slapped him lightly on the back before growing serious again. "Now what do we do? We can't report this little....mishap to Garris right now. He'll have Nicolai and Desmond here within hours to kill all of us. And believe me, those two are just itching to get the chance to put an end to us in particular. They would've done it after Corellia if Garris hadn't decided to send us to the camps."
Raal, his vision still blurry, gazed at Vaal with a somber look. "What we do now....is wait until morning. It's only a few hours away. As for Nicolai, I seem to recall that he didn't fare any better against the Shaewe sisters than we did. Where do you think he got that scar on his face and arm? Ivy Shaewe gave them to him years ago, before Corellia, the last time he tried to "teach her some respect". And Desmond? He's never been in a full on fight with them yet. Remember that he showed up after the fight on Corellia." Raal paused for a few seconds and looked off into the distance before speaking again.
"Yes....we wait until morning, and IF we don't catch them then we'd better start making plans to avoid the clean up crew."
Raal sighed as he ran a hand through his short hair. Nodding his head in agreement to Raals last statement, Vaal sat silently for a moment looking off into the darkness then spoke in almost a whisper
"I hope Crez has hidden out for the night. I think I'll give him a call on the com since our cover is pretty much blown now."
Vaal fished his comlink out of is pocket while Raal laid back on a pile of rock staring up at the night sky, deep in thought.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Crez had heard the sound of the grenade and was squinting in the direction of the blast to see if he could see anyone moving. He never heard Ivy drop down a few feet behind him until she spoke, and by then it was too late. As he spun around he felt the end of the whip tighten on his ankle and the next thing he knew he was flat on his back, eyes closed and the wind knocked out of him, with the woman standing over him. Opening his eyes slowly, he could see the business end of her lightsaber was holding steady just mere inches from the one thing he valued most in life. He could feel the heat coming off the blue blade and for once in his life, he dared not move for fear that she'd cut off one of his legs, or worse, shishkebob the twig and berries. Nervously he eyed her, wondering what she was going to do, praying that she wouldn't decide to deprive him of having kids one day.

Ivy stood over the man (Crez), eyebrow arched, as the tip of her lightsaber was aimed at the one thing a man loves more than anything else in life. Smirking, she leaned over a little bit with a chuckle.
"Well, well. What do we have here? Is this Garris' idea of a joke? Wait, don't answer that...." She paused momentarily, listening and hearing the sound of an approaching speeder. As the speeder neared she sensed a familiar aura accompanying it. Sighing, she gazed back down at Crez. "Looks like today is your lucky day, big boy. The calvary has arrived."
With a chuckle and a wink, she flicked her wrist and untangled the whip from around his ankle then shut off the lightsaber just as Me'lia halted the speeder a few feet away and motioned for her to get in. With a grin, Ivy gave Crez a mock salute with the hilt of her lightsaber and jogged off towards the speeder. Almost as soon as Ivy touched foot in the speeder, Me'lia revved the engine and was off again to go find Jinx and Alanna.
In the field of rubble, Alanna heard the approaching speeder and felt Ivy's presence, along with Me'lia's. Cautiously standing up from behind the twisted durasteel and rocks she looked toward the sound and saw the speeder rounding the building that Ivy had stationed herself on. Glancing to Jinx, Alanna grinned slightly as she spoke.
"Time to go, before anyone else decides to show up." Nodding, Jinx stood up just as Me'lia ground the speeder to a halt nearby and waited while she and Alanna made their way over to it.
"I heard someone needed a pizza delivered?" Me'lia said with a teasing chuckle as she got the speeder moving again once Jinx and Alanna were inside. As they sped across the debris field and toward the Black Widow, Ive kept a sharp eye out for anyone that might be following them. While she didn't see anybody following, she did have a sense that they were being watched though not by the trio they had just left, and she expressed as much to the other three women. Once back at the ship, and with the speeder safely stowed in the cargo bay, Me'lia and Jess did a quick pre-flight check and soon enough they were taking off into the night sky of Drall heading for the open orbit of the planet before vanishing into the nearest hyperspace lane....

Crez breathed a visible sigh of relief, though didn't move from his position on the ground, when Ivy shut off the lightsaber. He hadn't known what to expect from her but he most certainly didn't expect that. Not that he wasn't thankful that she hadn't decided to relieve him of his manhood, because he was truly grateful for that, but considering all the stories he'd heard about her and her sister he thought for sure that she'd horribly maim him in some way. Groaning, he pushed himself up off the ground and began walking around the building toward Raal and Vaal.
Once they were all together again they made their way to the rented space they had used to set up surveillance ans began to pack everything up. They all knew they had to get out of there before Nicolai and Desmond showed up. The clock was ticking and time was quickly running out because little did they know at the moment but the dreaded duo had been watching, hidden, from afar as the events of the last few hours unfolded.
Within the hour, Raal, Vall, and Crez had everything packed up and were loading it into the rented speeder so they could bring it to the light freighter they had arrived in a year ago. Upon arrival at the spaceport the hurriedly stowed everything in the cargo bay of the ship then prepared for take-off. When they were airborne, only then did they breathe a little easier. They knew that eventually the assassins would be hunting them, and they were right. Unbeknownst to them Nicolai had rigged the ships navi/holocomputer to relay any co-ordinance the ship arrived at before he and Desmond staked out the H.A.W.T. HQ - or what was left of it. Now the assassins boarded their own ship and took off up into Drall's orbit aiming at the nearest hyperspace lane and disappearing into it.

The Shadow Guard had remained unseen and far away from everything, maintaining his role as an observer to the action between the Cinn Ion and Cinndao, noting everything that went down between the two groups before they had split off and gone their seperate ways, neither side seeming to want to settle their differences there and then. After the two groups had made their escapes, the Shadow Guard took his own speeder to his ship and took off into orbit himself, heading for the nearest spacelanw to take him back to his masters

Nobody noticed the lone figure standing in the shadows of a nearby deserted alleyway. The Cinndao Operative had been sent to observe the goings on around the destroyed H.A.W.T. headquarters and had been watching the Madrigaan Brothers and their companion ever since the trio set foot on the planet, and especially since the three Cinn Ion fools decided to blow the HQ to smithereens. Whether it was by accident or on purpose wasn't known to the Operative, but either way the HQ had been leveled for some odd reason. Tonight had brought about new developments though, like the arrival of Jinx along with Alanna and Ivy Shaewe, and after catching a glimpse of a quick faint glint of metal in the shadows another surprise guest. Could it be Shadow Guard soldier from the Cinn Ion? The Operative couldn't be sure from this position but it was apparent that neither the Madrigaan's, nor Jinx or the Shaewe's, knew of the other observers presence and the shadowy figure didn't seem particularly interested in interrupting the little get together as it appeared that he was just observing, much like the Operative was.
What WAS known to the Operative was that the Madrigaans belonged to Garris's branch of the Cinn Ion and had been with him for years, centuries in fact, and were among the best at what they did which was hunting down and capturing Cinndao. Except for one little mishap a few years ago, that involved the Shaewe Sisters kicking their asses all over Corellia, the Madrigaans were top notch. Tonight was not was not their lucky night, however, since the sisters had escaped them yet again. Though it was pretty clear to the Operative that the Shaewe Sisters weren't the Madrigaans main target this time around since the fact that the sisters were even there seemed to be a surprise to the brothers. A surprise that would, no doubt, have some painful consequences for the brothers when they reported back to Garris - IF they reported back.
Garris wasn't known for his compassion and detested failure. He had a reputation for harsh punishments, torture, and even executions if his soldiers/followers failed a mission. One of his favorite things to do was to send the unfortunate person/people to Claudius' vile bloody "gladiatorial games" where the participants really had no chance of survival. It would be more kind to put a blaster bolt or bullet through ones head than to send them to those games.
Sighing inwardly, the Operative quietly watched as there was another arrival to the party. With a quick glance down to the datapad in hand, the Operative was able to identify the newcomer. The new arrival, a woman by the name of Me'lia Zaerin, one of the only original members left of H.A.W.T. besides Jinx, expertly maneuvered a land speeder through the empty streets by the decimated HQ stopping only to pick up Ivy at one end of the lot then Alanna and Jinx toward the middle area of the rubble.
As everyone, including the Madrigaans and the other observer left the scene, the Operative decided it was time for them to leave also. Silently vanishing deeper into the shadows of the night, the Operative climbed aboard a speeder bike that had been hidden in another alleyway and swiftly left the scene. It was best to NOT be around when "The Clean Up Crew" of Desmond and Nicolai arrived and they would eventually arrive...it was an inevitability. Once word got out that the Madrigaan's failed their mission then The Clean Up crew would be sent out for them, the Shaewe Sisters and Jinx - but first and foremost they would be sent to eradicate the Madrigaan Brothers and their bomb happy partner, then they would set their sights on Alanna, Ivy, Jinx, and probably Me'lia too. The Operative just hoped the women didn't backtrack to the planet again because Drall would be the first place Desmond and Nicolai looked for any of them.
Speeding off into the night over the landscape, the Operative soon arrived to their destination. After parking the speeder bike inside the private hangar and walking into the adjacent building, the Operative delivered the news and holovid, which had been specifically recorded with night vision technology, of what they had observed during their stakeout of the demolished H.A.W.T. headquarters.

The villages of Drall had remained quiet after the fall of the Galactic Republic, and the rise of the Corellian Coalition had continued that quiet stability, even as the Coalition grew beyond its original size, and the brief dream of an independent Corellian Sector faded into another regional government. For all practical purposes, while not as centrally organized or as weighed down with bureaucracy as the previous Republic, the Coalition was almost as large, and was perceived the same way as it's predecessor by many Drall: an unfortunate foreign commitment that brought extra militarization to the Corellian system, and left Drall vulnerable by association to a war not of its own volition. Not all Drall opposed the Coalition, and still fewer would openly speak ill of it, but the fact remained: strict Drall pacifism and the existence of a regional government were at odds. Even all of Senator Hadrig's peacemaking efforts in the Republic Senate had never fully bridged this gap, and he had not remained in office long after the formation of the Coalition. Now, as the Coalition grew, and a less well respected Senator was in office, with less real power to force deals, the grumbling became a little more audible in the streets of Mastigophorous and its sister villages. Drall was for the Drall, they said, and the Corellian sector was for the Corellians. The philosophy was debated at dinner tables, and in libraries, and in classrooms. All they lacked was organization, and a specific course of action to make their point.

Hiamovi, a black furred Drall Wingrider, clucks his tongue as he gently tugs on his reigns to urge his Ibbot mount, Kevork, to bank to port as they begin to pass over a hill amidst the meadows that looks like a inviting ambush point for the small caravan of speeders traveling from one city to another bearing a load of precious gems bound for a local jeweler. Usually such caravans go about their business unmolested, but for the past several months a few have been waylaid by a gang of Aqualish thieves operating somewhere in the meadowlands between the two cities Hiamovi has been assigned watch over.
Kevork levels out as they pass over the hill, and Hiamovi relaxes when there is no sign of an ambush laying in wait. Tapping Kevork's flanks with his heels to urge his mount to fly faster, Hiamovi has the Ibbot fly past the group of four speeders, scouting ahead to ensure the way to the city is safe.
When the speeders have reached the city, Hiamovi has Kevork land so that his mount can get some rest before they resume their patrol. One hand resting on the handle of the flashstick hanging from his left hip, Hiamovi watches as the Drall gemstone merchants unload their wares and bring them into the shop of the jeweler that has purchased them.

Despite the fact that she and her crew were captured by the CDF after a little misunderstanding about some Sansanna spice led to a teensy altercation with a CDF corvette that somehow snowballed into a not so tiny misunderstanding that included some Rebel scum that showed up out of the blue and decided that the CDF were the good guys when she and her pirates were simply trying to get their spice back, Kifo is smiling as she and her navigator are shoved into a cell, not because there is any reason to smile, but because she has found that smiling helps keep her spirits up as well as those of her crew, with the exception of her navigator, Niraasha, a pudgy female Kitonak with a singularly bleak outlook on life that somehow always manages to resist the uplifting power of her smile. Niraasha, on the other hand, always smells like vanilla, like all Kitonaks do, which Kifo has always found elevates her mood even with her navigator's bleak outlook and mournful disposition accompanying the scent she emits. Kifo likes to think of Niraasha as her own personal air freshener, and is glad that she is sharing the dismal little cell they have been put into with the Kitonak.
"At least it isn't a dry cell," Kifo says cheerfully as she points at the little loo in one corner of the cell, which, other than the potty, only has two bunks in it.
Niraasha, sitting on one of the bunks with her pudgy pink face in her hands, doesn't reply, either because she doesn't have anything to say or because she is taking the time to formulate a reply, which, as she is a Kitonak, could take a very long time indeed, and so Kifo just keeps talking while beginning to pace around the cell, "Don't despair, I'll figure a way out of this soon. We'll get the rest of the crew too, get our ship back . . . Kifo pauses as Niraasha takes a slow, deep breath as though she is about to finally say something, but the Kitonak just sighs as slowly as she had taken the breath, so Kifo continues talking, They won't keep us here long, we'll be handed over to the Drall eventually. Probably. They're, what, three feet tall? And pacifists, right? How hard could it be to escape from a bunch of peacenik little teddy bears? Laying down on the other bunk, Kifo laces her hands behind her head and says confidently and cheerfully, Trust me, we'll be back to business as usual in no time."

"You won't be getting out of prison anytime soon, Nitika, a white furred sterile female Selonian with a scar over her right eye that was appointed to represent Kifo and her associates when it became known that they had no attorney of their own, tells the pirate captain not long after the CDF have brought her into the little conference room they have been provided with to meet in and they begin discussing the case against the captain and her crew. Taking a casual drag from her cigarette as she scrolls through the list of charges the pirates are facing, the Selonian criminal attorney shakes her head and reads select bits aloud to Kifo to explain her opening statement, Organized criminal activity, shows no genuine remorse, history of juvenile . . . shaking her head, Nitika sighs and says, And those are just the bits that make your recidivism more likely. The charges themselves, well, piracy alone carries a mandatory life sentence in most systems, add on the mandatory minimum sentences for aggravated assaults on and murders of military personnel, possession of illegal substances in high-quantity amounts suggesting intent to distribute, use of blasters in the commission of all the above crimes, and, well, setting the datapad down, she concludes, I think it's safe to say that not even attorneys as skilled as Payne, Mildhurt and Strange could keep you and your crew out of prison for life."
Leaning back in her chair and taking another drag from her cigarette, Nitika says, "Your best bet would be to waive your right to a jury trial, save everyone a lot of time and hassle and let a judge hear and decide the case alone, or waive the bench trial as well and just plead guilty or no contest. I would be in a better position to negotiate the sentencing if you went with one of those options, maybe have a say in which facility you wind up in."

Kifo's ever-present effervescent smile doesn't fade as the Selonian lawyer keeps giving her worse and worse news, mostly because she doesn't plan on being stuck in in the clink for too long. She doesn't have a plan yet, but Kifo figures that she'll figure one out sooner or later.
Pointing to Nitika's ciggie, Kifo cheerfully asks, "Any chance I can bum one of those? Leaning back in her chair, Kifo mulls over what her options, such as they are, are according to the Selonian, and then asks, Let's say I do that waiving thing, just, she waves her arms out to her sides expansively and demonstratively, wave it all right the frig away. Would that mean getting out of here, she circles her index finger around to indicate the CDF detention facility, and being moved to, ya know, a real prison? Meaning one the teddy bears native to this world run, which she assumes would be easier to break out of than where she's being held now, Kifo thinks but does not add, and then smirks as she thinks of an idea and asks, Say, if it doesn't mean being moved, can we make that a condition of the waiving stuff?"

Nitika passes her packet of cigarettes and lighter to Kifu as she explains dryly, "I can ask about having you transferred to a civilian prison if you plead guilty or no contest and agree to waive the jury and bench trial, yes. I would suggest, strongly, that you plead no contest, adding in a mildly bored tone, Since the evidence against you is incontrovertible, pleading no contest, which simply put means that you are neither admitting guilt, nor claiming innocence, and instead are choosing not to contest the allegations made by the prosecution, might get you some lenience in the sentencing. Shrugging, she takes a drag from her cigarette and says, The end result could also have the same consequences and penalties as a guilty plea, but it could not be used against you in future criminal cases, she chuckles, which, since you're going away for life might not really matter much, but, on the other hand it does give you the chance to appeal, which, she laughs outright at that thought while exhaling smoke through her nostrils, I wouldn't advise since I don't imagine it would come to anything given the crimes you've committed."
Stubbing her cigarette out in an ashtray in the center of the table, Nitika retrieves her cigarette pack and lighter as she asks, "So, no contest then, I assume?"
