Are you always this overconfident, or are you acting this way for my benefit? The old man spoke in his general unamused tone. Not confrontational or accusatory but plainly. How about you search yourself and figure out what you really think the truth is?

And in a classroom, with many desks and furniture, and low ceilings, you decided form four was best why? The old man don't have confrontation in his voice. It was his opinion that form IV wasn't right for this situation, but he wanted to hear what the young man was thinking. The council has plucked me from the front. An old Jedi set in his ways, who hasn't taken a padawan or apprentice since before you were born. They have decided that I would be a good teacher for you. Why do you think that is? Please... The old man sits on an un bisected ottoman. Please be honest with me. I want to see how you honestly view yourself.

Once Mir and Van get established, they could get sent on a mission one of those bases to keep them going.

Patience isn't distracting yourself from being bored, sometimes it is just being ok with being bored. The old man returned the bow. Not smiling but not frowning as much as before. So why is it that you didn't sense me outside the room? Is that an area you need more practice in? Or were your thoughts elsewhere? His questions were accusatory, but his tone was kind despite his grumble. He was interested in the kids self-evaluation skills.

The old man can't hide his surprise and can't fight a laugh Hahaha... Force Light? It takes years to learn, and you could never learn it like you are. YOu are too hot-headed, too quick to kill. You rely on power. Someone with that could never expect to learn Force Light. You have to come from a place of peace, serenity. It is an extension of your own inner light. Something I doubt you have much of any longer.

Or you could just look for yourself... I haven't exactly been hiding The old man fill the room with his voice. It came from everywhere and at the same time nowhere. He let it hang in the air before opening the door. I think you own Master Calmcacil a new ottoman. The cynic still enjoyed the occasional stupid joke. I find it interesting your lack of patience. Not surprising, just interesting. I am Master Mir-Atash Delphi, I assume you are Van Stargazer?

No, if I was worried about that you would be in stun cuffs, and on a secure transport to Felucia to be dealt with. Either way, you took what you expected to be the easy way and someone whose life and destiny wasn't set has had it taken away from him because you were lazy. You had him terrified, that was good. He goes home and rethinks his life. Maybe he changes, maybe he doesn't. Now he doesn't get that chance, does he? All for information that may or may not be something of value. Instead, our enemies have a body and will close up even tighter than before.
He breaths, quickly meditating away his frustrations. I ask you again... what were you thinking?

The old man frowned. He really wasn't disappointed, over the years frowning had become to facial expression he made when thinking. He had hoped the boy would spend the time meditating, or exploring the area in the Force. Mir wasn't hiding his presence or actions. No, the boy when bored went right for his lightsaber. Mir was not surprised, this matched everything he had been told about the boy. Sensing the room, Mir found what he was looking for. A small ottoman. He grasped it with the Force and threw it. Hard enough, but still easily deflected in a number of ways by someone that had even the slightest enhanced awareness of his surroundings.

The old Jedi stood outside the classroom. He extended his senses to the room feeling the young man inside. Rambunctious, egotistical, arrogant, and self-centered, a teenager he felt in the room. Mir loved kids, they were one of the few things in this universe that could actually give him joy, but teenagers... Mir was a Jedi, a good one. He didn't late hate cross into his mind, but if it did, teenagers would fill that void. He was given this assignment because he was qualified and free, though he figured it was the council punishing him for something. It could also be that his pessimism had given him patience. When you expect the worse, you don't get discouraged when things end up bad. No matter what, the man was driven by duty, and at the moment his duty was this young man, He would work with him and train him. He waits longer to see how the young man would react.

Sit down... His voice was very stern, he was done holding it in. Did you think I wouldn't be keeping tabs on you? With the Force and with other resources? You tortured a low lever pusher, one that didn't really have the information you wanted to the point he would tell you anything. Then you kill him because you could. Bringing more heat down on us. Then you do nothing to confirm what you were told? What were you thinking?

How do you know he knew? Under torture, people will say anything to make it end. Intell is no good if it can't be confirmed... It talks all the old man has not to let the frustration creep into his voice.

And you trust that the intel is good? The old man kept his voice steady. His emotions hidden in the Force. How did you verify what you were told?

As the young man left, Mir kept a close sense of him in the Force feeling when he arrived at the club. Mir pulls up the feed from the security cameras and watches as Synar worked. He realized the young man's target soon. Yur Dojik was a small-time pusher of spice. His parents were very rich and didn't care what he did. It let him live like he was a big player and feel important. A good person to target to find the next level up. This was a long game. Mir sees Yur turn green and head outside. A good play, maybe this kid would work out. The loading dock camera picked up the rest. Mir was furious as he waits for the kid to return. He keeps his anger hidden and he looks happy when Synar returns. What did you find out?

Taking them head on would be impossible now, even if it wasn't foolish. We don't know where the head is...The old man sighed, half from frustration, half to catch his breath. No, go gather information. I am trusting you to do this well. Gather information, but don't compromise yourself or our operation. We have pushed the players to ground, they won't be moving slaves anytime soon. Find the spice dealers, they will be run by the same group. They won't know much, but they will be able to get us to the next step. He gathers himself and puts on his best kind face. It had been a while since he was really friendly with anyone over the age of 13. Be smart and stay safe. Trust your instincts. I will be here planning our next step and using some contacts. Contact me if you need me... May the Force be with you.
