Nubia was a small, temperate world located in the Nubus system on the outer edge of the Core Worlds.

Gespenster-Class Orbital Platform: “Corruptor” Captain Brian Gionta read his reports from his command chair, they consisted of the same ol same ol, of regular traffic report to and from the system, thou the defensive station is always ready to burst into action if needed. Sipping his Pzobian Tea he reads all reports from the defensive satellites, boring as usual.

He sends word down to the work bays to begin construction of Tibanna Gas Mining Platforms.
Captain Gionta next started to review the defensive stance of the star system.

Lieutenant Alexei Emelin (“Corruptor”) has taken the initiative to have the fifth planet, Nothar, investigated, he orders several Geo-mapping Satellites to be sent to record the planets geologic properties. After a few hours of programming the SAT's are launched towards the frozen icy rock.
work starts on the Tibanna Gas Mining Platforms in the lower work bays of the defensive station.

The Lucrehulk-class battleship, "HMAS Australia", appeared in a flash of white light in orbit of Nubia, bearing upon it two Sith Lords. Krokh stood at the viewing window on the bridge, turning his head to look down at Krae as the Lucrehulk positioned itself into an orbit of the planet =Krokh DuhnDe= So, shall we knock?

"I'd normally prefer to sneak in unannounced, until someone is dead anyway, but the security around this place make that a little tricky. Might pay to broadcast your codes on approach. Fake ones would be better, if you have them. I doubt it, but those losers back on Kiffu could have already had a cry to the rest of the galaxy by now." Krae stepped closer to the observation port for a better look at their destination. "Such an industrious little planet. I wonder what fun awaits us there..."

A machine like voice could be heard over the speakers if one were to accept the hail. This is a prerecorded message. WELCOME TO NUBIA and we hope you enjoy your stay on our lovley planet. Might I suggest landing in the Capitol where you may browse many of the planets best wares, join a tour of the planet or just stop on over to the [error location no longer in operation]. Should you wish to speak to a real person or have questions talk back and someone will help you shortly.

The Zephyr exited hyperspace and sank into orbit of the planet. On board was Jedi Master Nemo, alone once more. He had been despatched by the Council to investigate the instability on Nubia and to potentially calm the situation. He transmitted his codes to the planetary traffic control before the autopilot began the descent towards the capital city.

Krokh was about to nod to a droid to affirm the use of friendly, when an automated message came through from orbital control. Krokh looked quizzically down at Krae, shrugging his shoulders a couple seconds after the message ended =Krokh DuhnDe= Well... that seems like an open enough invitation to come in if there ever was one... He then lead the way off the bridge and into the hangar bay where The Tinnie was sitting. Krokh waited until Krae was on board, before piloting the Yacht out of the Lucrehulk's hangar and then down towards Nuba City

A ship of the S.T.A.R.S. team Alpha exited hyperspace and came into orbit of Nubia. After receiving a welcoming automated broadcast, the pilot transmitted his codes to the authorities as he began to manoeuvre the ship towards the capital. The ship descended to Nuba City Spaceport, where passengers Arn and Gravicus Hart were to disembark.

The Vengeance, a DP20 frigate, arrives at the fringe of the Nubus system in orbit of Nothar, the planet farthest from the solar center. In relation, Nubia is the middle planet of this system, and is little more than a pale blue dot to those observing from the bridge.
I felt our reversion to realspace shortly after I finished working on Crux. I had been passing the time in conversation with Devient, shadow-boxing (shadow-gunslinging?) and in general preparing myself mentally for the sort of combat scenarios in which I might find Crux to be useful. The two bat apparitions now perch on my shoulder, as if to indicate that there is no longer a grudge between us. (On their end. I still think a nice stabbing through the heart is in order.) Crux is powerful! As a flash-pistol, and one that I have molded into Crisis's younger (near-)identical sibling, feints between guns are the first things to come to mind. Just how much attention does the opponent pay to which gun is in which hand? This is an idea I also explored with the inclusion of the heatbeams. An opponent who over-commits to the blaster bolt is susceptible to the laser. The second, and arguably the most powerful, aspect to consider is that the flash-pistol forces the opponent to avert or cover his eyes. This is what makes Crux able to operate independently from its brother, in proper conjunction with nearly any other member of my arsenal. And of course, there's the usual jousting question that Crux is as capable of answering as Crisis.
And now I stride with slow, dutiful steps to the bridge, concealing behind the mask of Devient the displeasure in my heart that our arrival would serve to interrupt my fanciful imagination. It is every bit as useful to contemplate as it is to practice. But the time for thought has apparently been eclipsed by the arrival of action proper. I ponder for several moments longer as I look out over the frozen planet below our feet. "There is an array of satellites in Nothar's orbit. Looks like they're still operational. No signs of civilization on the planet below, though. Maybe they're commsats or spy sats, but our broadband transceivers haven't detected any inbound or outbound signals. More likely case is that they've been abandoned on this useless rock." "...I see. Let's leave them alone, then." "Captain Maddox, you have completed your part of our voyage for the time being. Now, if you will excuse us, Aire and I will head to Nubia as we discussed. Pay attention to the Yama's hyperwave channel. We'll ping you before we jump."
I turn away from the viewport and motion to Aire with my right hand. She has likewise gotten her effects into a reasonably organized state, and jumps up from her chair at my beckon. We traverse the bridge towards the bay, but I pause as I come into proximity to Tal, who is just now making his way to the bridge. His activities on the voyage over...what were they? Perhaps it is not so important. Certainly, not so important to me, except that it is in my best interest for him to continue to grow himself. Indeed, as I gaze on his features through the wall of metal that separates our faces, I can see that his brow is wrinkled and bewilderment hints across his eyes. Is that why he's so late to the captain's side? But that's not the time for this. We've all got a job to do.
"... ... ...Are you staying here?"

Just like the way things were before the Battle of Kuat during the days of the Imperial Remnant. Just like the way things were in the days of galactic strife-- so long ago are they in the past that even if I strain, I can hardly remember how it used to be. Silently he falls astride with us, and he comes without complaint into the cabin space. The reckoning is nigh. And Tal, slinking about as he was, will in fact come with us planetside. Did he sabotage the Yama? How foolish if he did! After all, why sabotage the ship you ride? Unless it's naught but a decoy.
Incite this god's anger if it's fear you lack, Your world will only fade to black.
Yet it seems we are not going to crash; as we disembark from the Vengeance, and prepare to make the microjump to Nubia, all systems respond positively. As we pitch away from the DP20 and Tal, my thoughts wind their way to him. Even now, he is...
The Yama is an Alpha-class Xg-1 Star Wing. This model line was released by Cygnus Spaceworks around the time that the Empire began expressing its intention to consider alternatives to the standard Imperial Doctrine that was seen its rise and fall before even half a century elapsed. Star Wings are resemblant to Lambda-class shuttles not only in appearance but, surprisingly, also in durability. The Star Wing's hyperdrive leaves a lot to be desired, though. And as for the Yama, I had it modified long ago-- sometime after I lost my Helix-class light interceptor-- and among the list of modifications was the sub-light acceleration motor and a crew seat. That crew seat served a purpose, initially...but it sat vacant for a long time, too. Now Aire fills it. I suppose the fact that she fills it is not new news. But thinking of the similarities between now and then, I could not help but think back to that time.
Does it sound sad to reminisce? Perhaps. Yet although the times are similar, I myself am immeasurably different than who I was.
My thoughts are interrupted by our microjump to hyperspace and subsequent reemergence in Nubia's gravity well. We come to realspace just in time to catch the moonrise silhouetted by Nubus prime's golden shine.
One of the first things that occurs as we approach the planet on a stout vector headed towards the equatorial plane is a communications relay from one of the satellites in geosynchronous orbit. The message itself is a machine recording.
This is a prerecorded message. WELCOME TO NUBIA and we hope you enjoy your stay on our lovely planet. Might I suggest landing in the Capitol where you may browse many of the planets best wares, join a tour of the planet or just stop on over to the [error location no longer in operation]. Should you wish to speak to a real person or have questions talk back and someone will help you shortly. Machines broadcasting machines. How perverse. We aren't the type to hail back. It is not our goal to let our presence be known. What the message did entail was the idea that the capital was open for business. Aire was a step ahead of me in pulling up the sensor readout for the planet and overlaying it with the open source terrain map for the planet available on the HoloNet. These two sources are in good agreement.
I point out a set of coordinates that will take us on a general route towards Nuba City and send them to the Yama's computer, and we continue our descent to atmosphere, making an effort not to linger too long in space.
It's about time.

In the darkness between worlds, a single plated spear of a vessel snapped back into reality with a silent hiss. The surface was coated with dark grey enamel, almost matching that of the void surrounding it, yet retaining enough of the lie of individuality to remain distinguishable to sentient sight. The vessel slid slowly across the great curtain of night, before shrouding itself with a recently installed cloaking device – one that negated the use of their internal sensors and halted the prying eyes of those interested with the contents and the purpose of this vessel’s arrival. Flying purely upon earned instinct and sight, the fast attack patrol ship soared through the skies and was embraced by the planetary bodies’ gravity well.
With their task half done; those within the vessel began preparing for the deeds that were to come, and the consequences of the actions they were about to commit. No one could know they were here, lest repercussions follow in the wake of their failure. So, those within the vessel were prepared to murder anyone that stood in the way of their objectives – forever silencing those that sought to loosen their tongue to their shrouded existence.
Flames would then flicker across the vessel’s cloaked surface, as the craft dived into the depths of the atmosphere. Sometime later, having emerged victorious against the forces of nature, the spear like vessel plunged into the horizon – directing its cloaked prow towards the distant Nuba City…

Seemingly out of the blue, a Keldabe-class battleship exited hyperspace above Nubia. It made no attempts to hide its presence, nor did it take any offensive or aggressive action; instead it readied a hail to the planet before being hailed automatically mere seconds before it sent. The ship's transponder listed it as The Firaxa, an unaffiliated battleship of unknown ownership, but a simple background check on the vessel would show its previous designation, Zann's Retribution, a MandalMotors cruiser that was intercepted and hijacked by Rebel forces nearly 150 years ago. Its hull still bore laser blasts burns, as though they had been painted onto it like honor marks. Its captain, a seemingly-young Miralukan man with straight black hair down to his shoulders, sat at the bridge in a comfortably spacious chair, one hand stroking the completely bald skin just below his lower lip, the other resting lazily across his lap. With eyes hidden behind a thick cloth band, he surveyed the planet below him in reverent silence.
Atuna gazed onto what would appear to any non-Miralukan being to be a large glowing sphere. This glow represented all life on the planet, sparking brightly against the dark, empty void of space. To the Miralukan eye, if you could call it that, the Force granted them sight by seeing the Force within living things. Objects like planets, stars, even droids to a lesser degree, had nothing but void outlines that represented their presence. A living being would give off an incandescent light that perfectly outlined their body, whilst also betraying their most inner motives and intentions through what Miraluka could describe as a color. Atuna's glow was an icy, cloudy blue, almost dim enough to be mistaken as silver.
The being next to him had a shimmering red aura that pulsed with every breath, as though the bestial drive, the hunter's thrill, never left its mind. For years this creature had plagued Atuna's dreams, and now, after nearly a century of knowing it, he finally began to see the beauty and the simplicity of the hunter's life. Fighting for honor, for blood. Barbaric, perhaps, but deeply rooted in tradition was the hunter's impulse.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Atuna asked lazily, his right hand lifting from his chin and gesturing to the massive glowing orb outside the viewport. "If you could only see it like I do."

"I have seen hundreds of worlds beyond your comprehension, Shaman. The one thing I have learned, for every rock in space there are a thousand ones greater, more magnificent; so I try not to get attached."
The Acklay had not been on Atuna's ship very long. It was only recently that he had made his return to his old master. In truth the Yautja was happy to see him, though he would never admit to it. It had been hard readjusting to the starship life. In his small transport it was easy to generate the hot and muggy atmosphere that he so enjoyed. It was even easy to generate breathable air. But on the Firaxa, where other people lived, it was much harder. His bio-mask needed to be worn at almost all times. He could tolerate the air but eventually the lack of oxygen would cause him to faint. He didn't know Atuna's plan. This was nothing new, his old master always seemed to have a secret agenda and his potency with the force made it nigh impossible for The Acklay to read him. It bothered the Yautja this time though, something was different. Something he couldn't explain.
"Why have we come to this speck?"
The Acklay needed to squat to reach Atuna's face while he was sitting, his blade of his sword rattling when it hit the floor.
"Everything you do is for a reason, what is the reason for this?"
This pose was uncomfortable for the Yautja, the skull (and the attached spine) of a long dead Imperial pilot began poking into the small of his back. He stood up after long, eyeing his old master through his T-shaped visor.

"Alas, for once, I do not know for certain," Atuna replied casually, his face fixed looking onward toward Nubia. "The Force has guided me here. Why, I do not know. For you to comprehend what I comprehend is something you cannot achieve without extensive training. If your Shaman-like senses told you not to fight a worthy opponent in battle when your mind told you it would be a glorious hunt, which would you follow? For me, the Force will give me direction without cause. It happens a lot, and I always heed its call against my own judgment. For me to live or die is irrelevant so long as the will of the living Force is carried out."
He stood up slowly and brushed off his loose, black robes. A breeze came off of his clothing when he did so, a whisper of his hidden power.
"That being said, pure devotion to the Force comes with its benefits, such as unprecedented knowledge, deeper understandings on life and the living, and, perhaps my favorite aspect, a little bit of good luck."
He turned to the hunter and stared into his chest, which was about what eye-level would be for Atuna. Behind his veil was a pair of perfectly good, functioning human eyes, but they only functioned some of the time. For him, using them was a modal choice, one that he could choose to use, but was often not a strategic or even preferred one. His true sight, the 'eyes' he was born with, were still much more comfortable to him. As such, he tended to act like a stereotypical independent blind man. Staring straight ahead irregardless of the people he was addressing, for example.
"In short, I have no idea why we're here, or what will happen next. But we are here. Now, will you prepare your own shuttle, or will we take one of mine?"

The Acklay backed away when Atuna approached him. After all his years of knowing the sage his apparent blindness always disturbed him.
"There is no preparation needed, my ship is ready. I trust you will transmit the landing coordinates to me in due time."
The Acklay turned to walk out of the bridge, the small cape he wore over his left shoulder caught the wind that was generated by Atuna. He began walking before turning around on the balls of his feet, turning his face towards his former master.
"You sound like a dog, at the beck and call of it's master. The force is a tool, multi-purpose, powerful. It leads me to my quarry and assists me in my quest, but it never leads. The force has broken you, like I would a nexu or a rancor. I believe it gives you great power, it gives you strength beyond measure, but don't let it cloud your judgement."
The Acklay stormed off of the bridge and into the turbolift. There he was reminded of another thing that bothered him about these larger ships, the crew. Nearly 6000 men manned the Firaxa and one of them happened to be in the turbolift with the Yautja. A small man, weak, probably had a desk job. The Acklay tried his best to ignore them, but their silent stares were as loud as an orchestra and often times he couldn't bear the pregnant silence. This was not one of those times however. The small man did not seemed alarmed, he did look busy however.
The two of them got off in the hanger. The small man ran off with some datapads underarm to some woman. The Acklay assumed this woman was his CO and thought nothing of it. When she had noticed The Acklay she directed him to his craft, an old Lambda-Class transport from the imperial days. Paint had been scratched off in a few places and the hinges groaned when the entry ramp descended.
As the Yautja entered the heat hit him first. The warmth of the vessel was a welcomed treat. As he walked to the captains chair he passed by a stormtrooper whose corpse lied where it had fallen nearly a century ago. The blood that had stained his armor had gone brown and any scent of death had vanished decades earlier.
As he sat down into the captains chair he took off his mask for the first time in many days. He let his mandibles twitch and stretch in the now oxygen rich atmosphere. The Acklay put his mask in the co-pilots seat next to the helmet of an Imperial pilot. The previous owner. The Acklay flipped some switches and the Lambda hummed into life. He hailed Atuna.
"This is the Cazador requesting permission to leave this vessel. Where on the planet are we heading my old friend?"

The flight controller, a droning woman in her late forties, answered the hail.
Permission has been granted for departure. You've been cleared to land in the Nubia City Spaceport. Master Lemep will meet you on the surface shortly.
Then she abruptly ended the call with a loud click.

Mynok arrived in system, with the usual flash of light. As the ship scanned the system, the derelict station was noticed in orbit. The sensor officer tagged it passive hostile, until ti could be proven to be derelict or otherwise. The ship did a full system scan, recording everything for a very detailed recon report, which would be passed up the line later. A tentative hail was sent to the planet, seeking an appointment to a high ranking military or security official. The Mynok is an old Munifex, with most of it's weapons on standby, and it's hangar doors shut. Pellaeon, no relation to the famous grand admiral of the empire, was uncertain how or even if he would be received here. He'd heard their was a job opportunity for those with military experience and a penchant for being ruthless. He now sat on the bridge, gazing at the remains of the systems only notable defense, the apparently derelict Space station.
