Laughing lyrically when Franz suggests that the likelihood of his, or any man's, achieving an understanding of women in general is all but nil, Ayodele does not respond beyond a non-committal, languid shrug of her shoulders accompanied by her nearly ever-present amused smile. Turning her gaze towards the pool when Franz refers to the water-ball fight presently underway, Ayodele then turns back to him with a playful smile and asks, "It does not look like fun to you? Where, Franz, is your sense of play? Lifting a hand and waving it to physically illustrate the bantering nature of the comment should her tone not have offered ample enough clue as to the fact she had merely been teasing him, Ayodele listens as Franz asks her what she might be doing were she not here today and then smiles with an arched eyebrow as she answers, Ideally, Franz, I would be doing something with you somewhere other than here were we not here. But, Ayodele continues to smile as, reaching out to pat Franz's arm, I suspect that is not what you are after, is it? Tilting her head to the side reflectively, Ayodele begins her actual answer by admitting, I do not adhere to any particular routines, Franz. I let my moods or whims determine how I occupy myself when not at work. Occupying herself was, once upon a time, a daunting challenge; denying what had once been so central to her existence requiring a complete redefinition of many things. Shrugging her shoulders languidly once more, the gesture as fluid and graceful as all of her movements, Ayodele says, I do what anyone does I imagine. I read, I exercise, I garden, I search for spots such as that I shared with you last night. Nothing, Ayodele laughs lyrically, clearly not perturbed in the slightest by the less than exhilarating description of her life she has provided, terribly thrilling I am afraid."
"And what of you, Franz? Ayodele asks, her eyes meeting his. What would you be doing if you and I were not doing anything and there were there no pool party for you to attend?"

Lakehouse - Kitchen
Elikapeka crinkles her nose and playfully pouts when Delaana agrees not to mention the possibility of being bored for the remainder of the day, asking, "Only for the day, my Ceesi? We can't make it, I don't know, forever?"
Elika opens her sketchpad and selects a light charcoal pencil, pretending to look worried when Delaana teasingly mentions that she might want something in return for being sketched, though her predominant sentiment appears more relived that her suggestion for how to pass the time wasn't greeted with any sense of rejection or discomfort on Delaana's part despite Elika's fears that the idea might be uncomfortable or awkward. When Delaana asks if there are any specifics Elika has in mind in terms of what she does or where she sits or stands for the sketch, Elika smiles and shakes her head as she explains, "Well, my Ceesi, that all is up to you actually. Pursing her lips in thought as she tries to expound on her answer so that Delaana understands what she is trying to say, Elika continues, See, I prefer to let my subjects choose how they want to be drawn most of the time, so that they are more, um, relaxed or natural? Nibbling on the end of her pencil, Elika tries again, So, um, just sit, or stand if you prefer, wherever you want. You can look at me, or you can look out the window if that is more comfortable for you, and we can talk while I draw, or I can shut up if you'd rather not talk. It's all up to you, my Ceesi. Laughing as she realizes she may not be succeeding at making Delaana less uncomfortable, Elika shakes her head and says, It's only going to be a quick sketch since we only have until you'll need to add your finishing touches, so, really, just, um, relax and do whatever you want to do, alright?"

Lakehouse - Pool
Narrowing my eyes upon hearing Baby Girl's statement, I roll my eyes soon after before shaking my head with an aggrieved expression. "You are killing me ... Muttering loud enough for her to hear that, I look over Hot Stuff who joins me soon after, and smirk at his statement before shrugging nonchalantly, and what Crystal says, that much I know about her brother, I have seen him manipulate fire from time to time when he is training with his sister, but before I can comment on that, something catches my attention and that makes me snap my attention straight in Lover Boy's direction before pursing my lips and stifling a laughter. Say Baby Girl, I don't suppose that your sister in law is wearing your bikini, isn't she?"
Looking straight up towards Alisha in the pool for longer than necessary and then over my shoulder to search for that other doctor, my mind goes to its usual place which makes me laugh genuinely for I seem to remember Ares coming right out here on the deck and searching for something, in his fiancée's bag, I have assumed. "Well ... I can clearly say that my plan has worked. I say to myself before glancing at Ryan with a knowing smile. Right so, as far as how the people here want their meat ..." Giving him a rundown on that and soaking one by one the meat into the marinade starting to get the medium well under way, I figure that later I should start grilling Ares about how his engagement came about ...

"All is fair in water wars, Ryan."
Ali grinned then laughed as he splashed her before he got out of the pool and moved to join Lily. Ali then turned her attention back to Ice just in time to deflect one water ball but still got hit with three more incoming water balls - two more from Ice and one from Morgan. Even Lukas had joined in the fun by splashing her.
The water fight lasted a few more minutes until Ali finally surrendered and pulled herself out of the water to sit on the edge of the pool while letting her feet still dangle in the water. "I give up! You guys win...for now!" She exclaimed with an amused smile.
Lukas looked from Ice to Morgan, a happy grin on his face. "Ali gived up!"
He giggled holding his arms out to Ice. Chuckling, she picked him up from the pool steps then climbed the last step out of the pool and set him on his feet by the lounge chair before kneeling in front of him with a towel.
"Oh I don't think Ali gave up, dude. I think she's just silently plotting her revenge against us three - Morgan, you and I."
This elicited another round of giggles from Lukas as Ali feigned a shocked expression. "Now would I ever do a thing like that, Icy?" Ali asked with the best innocent look she could muster up plastered on her face.
"Oh no, not you. I don't know what ever gave me that idea." Ice replied dramatically while drying Lukas' arms and legs with the towel she had in hand. Tossing the towel on the lounge chair, she handed Lukas his apple juice from earlier. The boy eagerly took the drink and sat down by the lounge chair, datapad in hand again, and began watching his cartoons once more. Ice gently ruffled his damp hair before moving to sit on the lounge chair. Looking back to Ali with a smirk, she removed her sunglasses and began wiping the water spots off of them with the shirt she had discarded before getting into the pool. Sliding the sunglasses back in place over her eyes, she waved a hand toward Ali.
"You, my dear sweet cousin, are not as innocent as you're trying to seem at the moment. I recall a similar water fight scenario on Naboo when we were barely teenagers. You gave up then, too, only to retaliate a couple of days later when Aaron and I were trying to clean out the speeder. It took three days for the inside of that thing to dry out. You have a devious mind Alisha Mercotti, don't deny it."
Ali couldn't hep but laugh at that memory and the look on Jena's face when she saw the water soaked inside of the land speeder. "It's not my fault that you guys forgot to make sure the windows and doors were closed on the speeder. Besides, my goal was to get both of you soaked with the water hose, not the inside of the speeder. As for my devious mind....weeelllll...."
She shrugged her shoulders, giving Ice a wink before standing up and moving over to the other lounge chair beside the one Ice was sitting on. Grabbing a towel from her bag, she began to dry her hair while Ice knelt down by the chair and began rubbing more sunblock on a mildly protesting Lukas.
"Mommy! I tryna watch mah 'toons!"
"You can still watch your 'toons, dude, but you have to have some more sunblock too. I don't want you getting a sunburn. They're no fun and they hurt." She explained while she rubbed the lotion on his arms, legs, and the rest of his exposed skin. He pursed his lips with a sigh and looked down at the datapad screen again. Once Ice finished the task he briefly looked up muttering a thanks before loosing himself in the antics of the cartoon characters again. Ice laughed lightly with a shake of her head before sitting on the lounge chair again. All the while Ali had been silently assessing the network of scars on Ice's back and shoulder before speaking in a low voice.
"Maybe you should take your own advice, chérie. The skin of those scars is just as delicate as his toddler skin. If they get sunburned they're going to be even more sore....besides, maybe if you're lucky someone will volunteer to help you rub it on...."
Ali grinned mischievously as she cast a quick glance to Andros who was in a conversation with his twin, Atlantis, before meeting Ice's gaze again. Raising an eyebrow, there was a questioning expression on Ice's face then she realized who Ali meant. Narrowing her eyes at her cousin, Ice, while speaking in a low whisper, pointed a warning finger at Ali.
"Wait, what? No! No, no, no, Ali! And don't you dare...."
"Don't I dare what?"
"You know what, Alisha. Don't play that game with me. Don't go bothering him just for this." She looked down at the lotion bottle that she still had in her hand before tossing it on the chair beside her as she glared at Ali.
Unable to hold back the knowing smirk, Ali waved a hand nonchalantly in the air. "Icy, chérie, I'm not stupid. In just the few short hours we've been here, I've seen the way you looked at him. And if I saw it then a couple of other people probably saw it too - namely one particular person because she's very aware about things like that even if it seems like she's not. Why do you think Ares and I were a little late to this party?"
Ice sat silently looking at Ali, listening as she spoke. Tilting her head to the side a little, she mulled over Ali's words in her mind. Did she look at him like that? Maybe she had? She didn't think she had, but it wasn't like Ali to make something that serious up. Ali arched an eyebrow as Ice processed what she had just said. Pursing her lips, Ali realized that she might need a little help convincing her cousin that what she said was 100% true. Casting a thoughtful glance over to Lily, she smiled wryly before looking back to Ice....

Pursing his lips as he adopted a thoughtful expression, like he was deeply concentrating particularly when Ayodele asked him where his sense of play was, Franz looked at her in silence for a longest time before squinting one eye. "Um, I probably shoved it in the background for now because knowing me, well I can be very childish and I'd rather you did not see that." Franz replied after a beat before chuckling and smiling genuinely, he wasn't avert to any sense of play any ways for it was all for fun and whether he was part of it or not, it did not matter, he still enjoyed watching others having fun. Plus currently he was speaking with Ayodele so why would he even risk cutting his time with her when he was under no obligation to join that play right now.
Though currently he was silent once more as he listened to Ayodele attentively, on what she would be doing if they weren't here and if they weren't together, he smiled looking at her, not to mock her at all but because in a way his life and hers were more or less the same, he guessed, in a way. "I do like the spot you have shown me yesterday and that by itself, at least in my books, goes into the thrilling category." Franz said sincerely with a faint nod. He did like to find some spots where he often was on his own and where he could just center himself without too much distraction. "Nothing thrilling, for my case." He said with a faint chuckle before shaking his head as he looked back at her with a warm smile. "Train, hone my skills and just keep on learning. I still have many things to learn." Franz said thoughtfully as he pursed his lips and looked at the people around him.
"Right now at least I can say that I am doing something thrilling." Franz looked back at her with a sheepish smile.

Ryan nodded to confirm what his sister was saying but then again he was looking at his girlfriend knowing that she was just faking it and pretending that she couldn't cook. Lily could still go by with cooked meal, he knew that much, though he just couldn't understand why she always had that apprehension to cooking, not that he questioned it audibly, if he knew what was good for him... Furrowing his eyebrows upon overhearing Lily's statement to Crystal, Ryan looked from his sister to Alisha and then soon his gaze found his fraternal twin and his gaze landed back on Alisha, only because he loved putting not only his brother but also Alicat on the spot. "Alicat, will you please stop driving Ares crazy?" Ryan asked rhetorically with a knowing smirk before laughing. "You'll save up on your wardrobe and swimwear I am sure." Shifting his gaze before shrugging nonchalantly, Ryan returned his attention onto his girlfriend to listen to her attentively.
Rare, medium well, and medium rare seemed to be the winners there, easy and salty too. Ryan inclined his head to let Lily know that he got it loud and clear and started saucing the meat with the marinade before using the brush he found there to make sure that the meat was still flavored while being cooked. "Did you ask Elika and Lana how they wanted their meat or you already know?" He asked dubiously, although for Lana, he knew it or at least he had some memories of her liking her meat medium rare but as for Elika he was drawing a blank to be perfectly honest since he had no idea.

*And so the water war went on for a little while, until Alisha declared surrender. Lukas threw his arms up in victory and Morgan giggled, almost about to wade over and hug him, but her plans were interrupted when Ice picked him up out of the water. She briefly frowned, but quickly got over it; there would be more opportunity to hug him later!
But it seemed for now the water wars were done, as most of the participants had left the pool, leaving only Morgan, her daddy, and Michelle. Lukas was watching cartoons on his mommy's datapad while he had sunscreen put on him. Morgan glanced at her arms; once upon a time, the skin there had been so much lighter, but plenty of time spent in Felucia's jungle had changed that...
She giggled, and looked to her daddy and Michelle, who'd decided to settle down, leaning against the edge of the pool. Morgan shrugged and decided that, if no one else was up for shenanigans, she too would exit the pool for now. She headed to their bag, taking a towel from it and bringing it back to a lounge chair beside Ice and Lukas. She draped it over the chair and then climbed up onto it, leaning back comfortably before giggling to herself.* "I hope this doesn't mess up my own tan," *she joked to Ice and Alisha, unaware of their hushed conversation.
Lokay, deeming the coast clear—for now—had followed Morgan to the chair, curling up at her feet as she reclined on the lounge chair. If that was the end of water time, that was okay with him...*

Delaana looked at Elika dubiously when she started pouting, which caused Lana to laugh softly and lifting her right hand and then her left in surrender. "That can be doable, my Shakal..." Lana replied coyly before winking playfully and smiling. Regaining somewhat her seriousness, Lana watched for a moment Elika as she opened the sketchpad and then listened attentively to the suggestions, or more precisely some instructions.
Pursing her lips in thought as if Lana was wondering on what she'd rather do, actually that was a no brainer, which was why she just looked at Elika with a genuine smile before tilting her head on the side slightly. "I believe that I choose to keep on sitting and also looking at you, but I also would want if you and I kept talking, after all like I have said, or thought, I do want to take this opportunity of having you to myself." Smiling warmly, Lana looked into Elika's eyes for a little moment in silence but since Lana did say that she'd prefer to talk, she asked. "I don't recall asking you yesterday, but what made you decide to settle for architecture?" Lana recalled Elika telling her that she jumped from one interest to another but since they didn't have that much time alone in the studio, or at least it was a limited time, so to speak, Lana didn't have the opportunity to ask. Though she did find out that Elika played the vioflute... And that gave her an idea of perhaps getting something in return for the sketch Lana was sitting for.

"To be perfectly honest with you?" Crystal said softly to Serrin with a knowing smile as she glanced briefly at one of her brothers there, Ryan in particular, before taking a deep breath. "While I have been taught the core powers, I don't see myself use my ability to harm, defend sure, but I'd rather heal, and Ryan taught me that." Smiling once more as she was briefly lost in her thoughts remembering how he had reacted to her request then and there, she chuckled softly. "Apparently it runs in the family," Crystal explained softly before rolling her eyes playfully while looking at Serrin. "Either way, I am sure that we'll have a moment or two to get together..."
Crystal left it at that, for she she knew that Serrin would be quite busy in trying to uncover the truth about what was being done in Andros' name, that was definitely going to take most of Serrin's attention and Crystal really didn't want to really come in the middle of that. Also, Crystal thought that perhaps Serrin didn't just have that to deal with, after all Serrin did only recently come back from wherever she was... She didn't want to make her uncomfortable, which was why...
Turning to look at her childhood friend and feigning innocence, although Crystal knew that Lily wouldn't be fooled by it, she nevertheless mouthed, 'I don't know what you are talking about...' But her expression quickly shifted to stifling a giggle when Lily had to ask her about Alisha's bikini, all that, thanks to Atlantis, Crystal was sure, since she had purposely not commented on what he said, but of course Lily being Lily picked that up. And then of course her other brother had to comment about Ali's wardrobe. Just for that, Crystal shook her head, really at a loss for word but then she just gestured to her brothers, since it looked like Ares was emerging from within the lakehouse, to just deal with one another, there was no way she was going to play referee nor act like a mom right this instant.
Briefly glancing around the pool and noticing that Atlantis was with his brother, but also the others seemed to have got out of the pool, Crystal briefly looked at Franz there and Ayodele with a warm smile before focusing onto the family of three and also the cousins there.

For a split moment, Atlantis was tempted to tell his brother that no issue of his was bothering him, at all. But Atlantis also knew that being heavy handed with Andros wasn't the way to go at all, for knowing his identical twin, that would really annoy the hell out of him, which was why Atlantis shut his mouth at the very moment and solely inclined his head to indicate that he had got it loud and clear though Atlantis still gave a meaningful glance at Andros to let him know that he'd listen if and when Andros was ready to talk. "You are still here, buddy, you think for a moment you can just let go of your datapad and not pay attention to it?" Atlantis asked with a knowing smirk before glancing over the AG over there by the grill and chuckled. "You and I both know that she does make convincing points." He added on with a knowing smile, after all wasn't that one of the several reasons why Andros had personally recruited her?
Although right now his attention turned from his brother towards Crystal for a brief moment, while Atlantis heard the murmured question. For a moment Atlantis was tempted to play coy, but he exactly knew what Andros was referring to; turning back to look at Andros with a faint smile, Atlantis nodded faintly and said nothing more yet. "Every day..." Atlantis replied softly briefly closing his eyes before taking a deep breath and opening his eyes again, and for a lot of reasons, mainly because he was always second guessing or mainly because something always came in the way, it never happened, at least not yet.
"I know what you are going to say," Atlantis chuckled briefly before shaking his head and taking another deep breath. "But first, I'd like to get this behind us." He knew that it wasn't going to be done overnight, that scandal, those accusations he and Andros were facing. Not wanting to really dwell on that right now, Atlantis looked around for a moment and noticed that the water fight had ended and he briefly smiled seeing that most if not all of them were relaxing, taking this chance, Atlantis looked back at his brother and blinked once. "On a scale of one to ten, where are you on the pissed off/ being anti social currently?" Atlantis asked with an arched eyebrow. He was quite aware that he was some of the few that could get away on teasing and joking with his brother, but at least right now he would factually know instead of being presumptuous.

Ares was just stepping out onto the deck sipping on a bottle of chilled beer when he overheard his brother's comment, that got him to do a spit take on what he was drinking. Ares' eyes widened for a brief second while he slow motioned turned to look at both his brother and sister but he figured that it would be preferable to brush it off currently and he just shrugged and nonchalantly quipped. "Because I am sure that your girlfriend is doing a big amount of saving when it comes to her wardrobe too..." Smiling widely knowing that he was probably inviting himself for a beating. Which was why he picked up his pace and got to where his fiancée was, but also where Isis and Lukas were. He wrapped an arm around Ali's waist and kissed her temple affectionately.
"Are you already conspiring, amore?" Ares murmured softly having briefly overheard some of her words, clearly he had no idea what had gone on or whatever but from the look Ali had given Lily, it might have something to do with the attorney's... expertise. Well that was something he should probably stay away from because experience indicated to him that the lawyer always managed to win the cases she were tasked with, like what happened between him and Ali. Releasing his fiancée, he turned to sit down on the lounge seat and looked at Isis with a knowing smile before glancing at her son who seemed to be engrossed with his cartoons.
"Are you going back into the water later?" Ares asked dubiously looking back at Ali as he grabbed his bag from under the seat since obviously he was still in his pants and hadn't changed at all for he did not have the occasion before up until now. Though he knew that he still had a few things to do but those could wait for his brother was busy with girlfriend over there by the barbecue grill and his sister was talking to Master Roma.

Pumping her fist victoriously when Delaana playfully agrees to never again worry about being bored again, Elikapeka grins and, as though taking her completely literally, gleefully says, "Yes!" Nodding as Delaana explains that she prefers to sit, and to talk while Elika sketches, Elika somewhat bashfully but clearly quite happily smiles when told that Delaana is enjoying having her to herself, Elika uses the opportunity to watch Delaana's eyes and lips since, as they will be talking while she sketches, she will need to call on her memories of certain features that won't necessarily be still or in the same expression throughout the sketching.
Looking down at her sketchpad as she begins to roughly sketch in the shape of Delaana's eyes to begin her drawing, Elika also begins to answer the question Delaana has asked about what made her ultimately decide to pursue a career in architecture, saying after a brief reflective pause, "I'm not sure that I would call it settling, really, she begins with a glance towards Delaana with a teasingly arched eyebrow, so much as finally finding my calling after pursuing a few different interests. Answering the question more in depth, Elika explains, I love the vioflute, but I felt like I'd never really master it, and, she laughs, shaking her head before looking down at her sketch pad to capture a few more details in her drawing, I can't believe I ever felt comfortable performing on stage, so . . . shrugging a shoulder to dismiss the line of thought as she prefers not to dwell on the origins of her social anxiety, Elika continues, Architecture is a combination of a lot of things I enjoy - art, history, culture - and, she looks up from her sketchpad and smiles at Delaana, crinkling her nose, I still can't believe that I make a living by doing something I enjoy so much. Tilting her head to the side and watching Delaana's expression for the one that she has decided to try and capture, Elika turns the question back on her, asking, What bout you? What is it that called you to do what you do?"

"He does have a point ... Keeping a straight face when I hear Ares counter his brother about the wardrobe saving or lack thereof, I can't help but to smile and wink at Hot Stuff for he and I know full well that often times than not I have to replace a few clothes, but the fact that Ares seems to do the same thing with his fiancée, that actually doesn't surprise me. They're guys, who can blame them really ..? Giggling at the thought before shaking my head and looking back at Ryan when he asks me that question, I nod to confirm that I already know. I know already, though I am sure that you already know for Lana too anyways ..."
Turning one of the steaks onto the grill and then waiting for a few more seconds, I put it straight onto a plate knowing that the rare one is done but then I cannot help but to look over my shoulder noticing that Alisha and Ice seem to be looking at a certain direction, and me being me, I follow the line sight and notice that they are looking over the Wonder Twins ... Oh boy ... Snorting a laughter and finishing with the medium rare steaks, I look over at Hot Stuff with a thoughtful expression. "Hot Stuff, why don't you get Lover Boy and Boss Man to join us here, or better yet get them to grill your brother about that thing?"
While I do know that it's probably not the brightest thing to do; to annoy the Vice-Governor about trivial things, so to speak, I still know that he is the kind of guy who cares no matter what people who don't know him think, and besides, if some people herewith present are the ones that going to clear his name, what better way for them to get to know Andros? That's just my thought, after that is all up to them, I just hope they aren't too intimidated by the man ... Grabbing my cocktail, I take a sip of it and look back at the entrance towards the lakehouse and find it amusing that both Gorgeous and the Hapan Bombshell aren't back yet. "Baby Girl, I think you and I have lost our housemate ..."

Andros glanced at his datapad and took a deep breath, Atlantis was right, he should probably stop torturing himself with that, which was why he picked it up and handed it to his brother. "Do me a favor, hide it or just keep it for the day until tomorrow morning. But if you see a message from Mace, just give it to me please?" That was Andros' only request anyways, he still had to hear from Mace and perhaps sooner or later when she was done with what she usually did, the Force knew what, he'd get a reply from her. "Also from the Intelligence Director." Yet another request, but whatever, at least with that, Andros was being compliant with his brother's request and Atlantis was also right anyways, he wouldn't get away it with for too long especially when they all knew where Counselor Jankovic's fortes laid.
Upon hearing Atlantis' reply about that unspoken question, Andros looked at Crystal and smirked briefly before looking back at his brother. "Since you already know, and I perfectly understand, but no one has ever asked you to stop living, Atlantis." Andros said as he looked at his brother with a deadly glare and sneer, and just for that, Andros could understand but at the same time, none of them should put their lives on hold, they weren't guilty for those crimes no matter what the witnesses said. But whatever right? As he looked back towards the bar, he also noticed two set of eyes in his direction and he looked straight towards where the ones from Honoghr were from and he looked straight at the cousins there with an arched eyebrow before locking his gaze with Ice for a brief moment.
But for now...
Right now he had to tear his gaze away from her as he heard Atlantis' question which made Andros look at him with an arched eyebrow. Amused, that was how he was currently, Andros was amused and he chuckled wryly before shaking his head. "Pissed off, negative ten, as far as anti-social goes, let's just say that it's borderline four, but for clarity's sake, just stick with three." Which in his own twisted definition meant that he'd play meet and greet but for not too long because he really was the impatient kind of guy. "Why, are you going to drag me? I'll give you an incentive, Atlantis, I'll bring down that anti-social phase of mind to the negative scale if you cut the crap out and get over the self consciousness of yours and just have fun with the one that I may very well call sooner or later my future sister in law."

Delaana's laughter rang around the kitchen as she noticed that Elika had pumped her fist when giving in to the never being bored again. But soon enough she regained her seriousness and stilled her laughter until she was only looking at Elika with a warm smile, in all of that moment, Lana took this occasion to just look at Elika in silence to begin with and just staying still for a moment although blinking a few times while Lana also studied for a moment Elika's feature, seeing concentration but also enjoyment in doing her art, plus the description on the reasons why she 'settled' to architecture was understandable. It really appeared to Lana that Elika enjoyed doing this, which also was something she was good at. Lana did see some paintings last night and she wondered if at some point those paintings might cover the living room of this place. Perhaps Lana should say something to her boss about that, in a nonchalant way...
"Well, as long as you are enjoying your work, then that is all that matters, right?" Lana was quite aware that while at work there were ups and downs but bottom line Elika would always enjoy her work, plus from what Lana had understood there, since Elika wasn't comfortable on stage, she really didn't deal with plenty of people on a daily basis, at least face to face. "And with your job, you must be sent in different worlds, which makes you learn more about the planet's, you are in, culture, right?" That really was an appealing perspective for any one that enjoyed those things, all pluses for Elika which made Lana smile knowingly.
Of course, Lana realized that question would be asked back to her, it was a complicated question to her but also simple, depending on the perspective, but she also wanted to be honest with Elika. "Usually, I am not much of a talker, my Shakal, and I often observed, bad habit of mine, that I know, but I have always been fond of anthropology and just watching other near-humans or sentient." Lana explained softly with an amused grin, "But I also knew that I like some sense of directionality, so I figured I would do this, hence me being here now." Shrugging nonchalantly while she continued to look at Elika with a warm smile, Lana nonetheless carried on, "It allowed me to travel, because just like you, I do find culture fascinating."

Lakehouse — Pool
Being handed the datapad was the last thing Atlantis figured his brother would be doing, but then with the request from Andros, Atlantis looked at his identical twin with an amused expression. "Now are you sure, you really want to hand me this?" Atlantis asked rhetorically as he held up the datapad as he continued to look at his brother thoughtfully. Usually receiving a message from either Mace or Horsea would have their importance, and also there was the fact that he and Andros were in different branches on this planet, and he really was uncomfortable with overstepping his bounds, not that Atlantis would ever read the messages but if that was what Andros wished, then so be it, Atlantis would abide by it.
He knew that Andros had ways to do things, and if he was comfortable enough with that, then so would Atlantis be, but right now the conversation that turned in his direction uneased him someway, somehow. "I know brother, it's just I don't want to do that for the wrong reasons, you know?" Atlantis left it at that and momentarily looked at Crystal with a warm smile, not that he had wrong reasons to do that but he also knew that Crystal still had plenty of issues to deal with, issues where he had no say and wasn't aware of entirely because they had not spoken about those things just yet.
... And that was downright scary, at least to him.
Taking a deep breath, Atlantis looked back at Andros with a frown upon hearing the conditions and chuckled wryly before shaking his head. "I despise the politician in you, Vyridian, just so you know." Atlantis said as he stood up from his seat and looked at his brother with a faint smile. "I do know what you are trying to do, and I will think about it, but for now just give me some quid pro quo here, alright?" Shaking his head and holding onto the datapad, Atlantis nodded towards the bar, and whether Andros would follow him or not, that was up to him, Atlantis wasn't going to force him, it was Andros' prerogative.
Upon reaching the bar, Atlantis placed the datapad onto the counter and overheard that conversation between Crystal and Serrin about healing, "Do not forget the hand to hand combat, I am sure that you two wouldn't pass up the chance to see me gasping for air whenever I am kissing the floor." Atlantis said playfully just to lighten up the mood perhaps but then again, talk had it that Crystal wanted to learn Broken Gate from Serrin and perhaps that would be a good starting point since it did not require the Force so to speak, which was a win win situation for Crystal.

Ayodele frowns when Franz, however jokingly he may do so, suggests that he has been purposefully suppressing a particular side of himself in light of the fact he would prefer she not see it, and after he has finished speaking says in a light, but sincere tone, "I hope, Franz, that you are not so concerned with making a good impression that you are merely acting a part you think I might appreciate rather than being yourself. Reaching over and touching his arm, holding his eyes with her own to try and reinforce the point she is trying to make, Ayodele continues in the same tone, leavened by a warm smile, I would like to get to know you, the real you, Franz."
Remaining silent for a moment in hopes of allowing what she has said to sink in, Ayodele tries to make the moment, and her suggestion, less uncomfortable by moving on from it to signal she is not seeking any immediate reassurances from Franz that he will take her words to heart; Ayodele is not so socially inexperienced to be completely surprised by the notion of presenting only those facets of oneself that one feels are most appealing while concealing others. "Tell me more about your training, Ayodele suggests after the brief pause, and what it is that you are trying to learn more of. Her past has afforded her some knowledge of Jedi, enough that she can see that the Order has changed and evolved as time has gone by, but she has not had any direct dealings with Jedi in some time, and so Ayodele's interest in Franz's answers is genuine rather than feigned. Having noted that Franz has occasionally seemed disinclined to speak of himself in depth, Ayodele asks with a frown, Or would you prefer we speak of other things instead, Franz?"

Nodding with a smile when Crystal explains her views on how she feels she might prefer to use her gifts, which relieves some of my concern about whether or not I am in a position to offer her any guidance or tutoring given that it would seem her interests lay predominantly in areas that will not require that I venture into territory that could prove challenging for me after my experiences on Bimmisaarai, I say, "I understand completely," and then nod once more to agree that we are all but certain to come to a better understanding of what our focus will be when we find the time to pursue the matter.
Laughing, my head tilted to the side after Atlantis has left Andros to rejoin us and made a joke about hand to hand training, I smile and ask in an amused tone, "Would that not require that you get over your aversion to sparring with women? Not, I laugh, that the idea of you gasping for air is not amusing, but I believe that it would require that you actually spar. Unless you're simply offering to act as training dummy? Looking from Atlantis to Crystal, I ask jokingly, It almost sounds as though he's asking to be abused, doesn't it?"

Before Ice could look away, Andros directed his gaze toward her and Ali, though more toward her it seemed. For the span of a few heartbeats, she forgot to breath. 'What the hell is wrong with you?! Get a grip!', Her conscience screamed at her before he finally looked away from her and back to his brother. She let out the breath that she didn't realize she'd been holding until then.
Shaking her head slightly, her attention was drawn to Morgan, who had just gotten out of the pool and came over to sit down in one of the lounge chairs next to her and Lukas. Laughing at Morgans comment about a tan, Ice didn't see the thoughtful, but very conspiratorial, look that Ali had cast in Lily's direction. Ignoring her cousin for the time being, Ice focused on Morgan.
"I don't think you'll have to worry to much about it messing up your tan, Morgan....and even if it does, I'm sure that once you get back to Felucia it won't take long to get back to normal." She gave Morgan a reassuring smile before picking the bottle of lotion up from the lounge chair to begin applying it to her own arms and legs.
Ares had stepped out of the house by then, and after a brief exchange with Ryan, came to join Ali and Ice. Having heard what Ryan had said to Ares, Ice glanced in Ryan's direction with a grin.
"Ryan, she will never stop driving him crazy because she loves it. It also gives her an excuse to go shopping and to add things to her wardrobe besides those doctors scrubs she's so fond of." She stated with an amused smile as she rubbed the sunblock on her arms.

Ali had noticed, before, when Andros' gaze connected with Ice's for a few brief seconds before he tore is eyes away and continued to speak with Atlantis. She could almost see the proverbial sparks flying between those two. Hopefully, soon, they would realize and see it too - then maybe do something about it. Smiling inwardly, she leaned into Ares a little when he walked over and placed an arm around her waist giving her a kiss on the temple before asking her if she was already conspiring. Giggling, she looked at him with a smirk.
"I wouldn't necessarily call it conspiring. More like calling in reinforcements to aid me in my endeavors to get Icy to see what's in front of her face." She explained quietly before giving Ares a loving peck on the lips. Then directing her gaze toward Ryan with a slight smile, she spoke in a more normal tone.
"And Icy's right, Ryan....I will never stop driving Ares crazy. I can't. We both like it too much. Though I may have to start tearing more of his clothes off in the future, just so we'll be on an even keel...." She quipped thoughtfully with a mischievous smile toward Ares who had asked if she was going back in the water later while he moved to grab his bag from under the lounge chair.
Yes, chéri, probably after we eat and let the food settle a bit." She said with a chuckle as she reached over and unashamedly patted his bottom when he straightened up. There was a playful spark in her eyes but she would let him get changed into his swimwear and eat first before any more water war shenanigans commenced.
