Lakehouse - Garden
Elikapeka, being Elikapeka, finds herself feeling more and more uncomfortable as the relatively simple matter of arranging for a ride to and from Delaana's home becomes, at least in her mind - which, while she knows just how it can exaggerate or distort things, she is unable to prevent from altering her perceptions on occasion - a focal point for those that have not yet left, and she compulsively tugs at her sleeves in the familiar pattern - left, then right, then left twice - that can at times comfort her, while keeping a frozen, forced smile on her face as she nods as different suggestions and offers are presented.
Composing a song as frantic and anxious as she feels in her head to try and maintain a grip on her composure rather than surrendering to the sense of panic that wells and rises within her, Elika unconsciously steps closer to Delaana as she agrees with the first suggestion that had been thrown out, managing to keep smiling as she tells Andros, "Oh, um, yeah, that would be, uh, really great, thank you. Keeping the smile on her face with sheer will, her bright and cheery tone only sounding a tiny bit as brittle as it truly is, Elika tells Lily, Oh, um, sure, I mean, maybe? I'll comm you, Elika says with a forced laugh, if I need to, ok, beautiful? Ok, Elika answers to cut that conversation off, already thinking to herself that she will just call an airtaxi, and will do her darnedest to learn how to pilot her headhunter to that she never finds herself in this position again. All but tugging Delaana along in her haste to get away from the subject, Elika begins heading for the doors leading inside so she can get to Andros' vehicle as quickly as possible, feeling embarrassed and relatively certain that she has probably just frightened Delaana with her neurosis, saying as cheerily as she can manage, Alright, great, um, let's get going shall we?"

While usually Andros would have glared, actually he did glare looking at Ryan, because that was his usual look, he had rather not say a thing for the time being and instead he had his attention back onto Elikapeka and Delaana. It appeared that not only the latter had agreed but... There was always a but, Elika seemed unsettled, that got him to frown.
Andros supposed that it was due to the attention now, and a reason why he stopped looking altogether. His attention this time was onto Ice and he inclined his head. So, he had two things to do, drop off Delaana back at her place with Elika there, and also Ice and Lukas back at the Lodge then him heading to his office to finish up a few things, at least.
Putting his hand up, indicating that he'd only be a moment, he returned inside of the lakehouse to get dressed, dark pants, dark turtleneck and his long duster, that was black also. Taking a deep breath and finally making his way outside towards where every one was, he opened all doors and gestured for all of them to get inside of the airspeeder that could hold enough people actually.
"I'll be dropping you both off first." Andros said as he looked at Lana and Elika, but his gaze lingered onto Elika to assess and just see if she was alright, but again, he averted his gaze again and started up the airspeeder before looking over the Hapan asking for her address, even though he already knew it, but it was better that way for reasons.
After she had given it to him, Andros maneuvered the airspeeder asking everyone if they had everything and when that was the case, he piloted straight towards Umgul City.

Leaning against her boyfriend, Crystal had her glass of wine in one hand while the other was just trailing the water in front of her. While she was indeed worked up with those issues back in the workout room, there was just something that totally made her feel appeased right about now, and just obliterated those lingering thoughts. It was how Atlantis made it happen, it was just how he had presented the alternative, while at first she wasn't convinced, if she had to admit it right about now, she'd say that this was definitely working. He just always knew what she needed and she never had to say anything at all.
Bringing her hand down after taking a sip of her wine, Crystal chuckled softly and turned her head to look at him with a warm and affectionate gaze. "It is working." She sincerely told him just pecking his lips as a thanks. While, yes a part of her felt guilty to have left the gardens there previously, she clearly just needed some time away from her siblings, not because she didn't want to be in their vicinity but because even though she was happy to see Ares, alive and well but also engaged, deep down she was certain that him coming here wasn't just a social call at all, especially not after having tried to get in touch with him for so long.
Now she was just here, completely relaxed and she definitely loved the scent of those candles plus she was with the man that she loved, and it just felt nice to have this time together, not that they didn't have those but any of those moments she can have with him alone, she'd take it, hands down. "So, no, no need to mentally prepare yourself, but," Placing her glass wine on the edge of the tub, she placed her hands on his forearm that was around her waist, "Will I, at least, see you spar with me for real, one of these days, preferably before I hit my thirties?" She asked him teasingly, his apprehension of not wanting to hit her, she found that cute and sweet, also he really wasn't putting himself out there to be her personal punching bag, since he did always dodge her punches or kicks.
Preferring to put that matter to rest for now, she turned her body to face him and just splashed some water along with the bubbles in his direction. "You are a jerk by the way." Laughing softly before it turned in a louder laugh and playful shriek when he launched himself at her, Crystal kept laughing, until her laughter died down...
Later, she found herself in front of the mirror with her bathrobe on and drying her hair while Atlantis was mopping the bathroom floor, she smiled at him before letting the towel hang right over there and just ruffling his damp hair. "Thanks handsome." Not only she felt completely relaxed but she was pleasantly happy indeed, finally walking out of her bathroom, she headed straight to her closet to find her pjs, which consisted of tank top and mini shorts...

Inclining his head when Crystal told him that tomorrow was fine and that they would be meeting, Ares took that opportunity to just put whatever he had in mind on hold, at least until tomorrow. Noticing that everyone was leaving, or at least those that did not live here, Ares wrapped his arms around Ali's waist from behind and kissed her shoulder. "We'll give my sister back her bikini tomorrow?" He murmured softly considering that what Ali was wearing was indeed Crystal's and Ares did rip off his fiancée's earlier.
Chuckling at the thought, he released Ali and stood from the lounge chair to gather their things, figuring that they could take a shower back at the lodge anyways and there was no point in lingering here longer than necessary. Turning to look at Lily and his dearest brother, Ares smiled and nodded briefly. "Thanks for the lovely day, and see you tomorrow?"
Without really needing to hear a confirmation, Ares put his shirt back on and figured that staying in shorts that had dried up anyways, was okay, he gathered his bag and Ali's before taking her hand after she got dressed and pulled her against him to lead her towards the speeder they came here with. "It wasn't so bad at least." Ares said with a knowing smile, it was still a good day despite perhaps that palpable tension he had perceived but that again had been replaced by other things.
But anyways, he looked at Alisha with a knowing smile and revved up the speeder's engine so that they could finally check into the Misty Lodge.

Atlantis was mopping the flood on the bathroom floor, he looked up at his girlfriend with a knowing smile and inclined his head when she thanked him, not that she needed to do so, since after all, he did have a little OCD streak in him and that flood there was unacceptable. When done, he walked out of the bathroom, he was already wearing a jogging pants anyways and he wrapped his arms around Crystal from behind looking at her through the mirror there.
"To answer your earlier question, truth be told, I am not comfortable with that at all, I'll keep dodging and all, but hitting you is out of the question." Atlantis sincerely told her as he tilted his head on the side to kiss her cheek affectionately. Finally releasing her, he took a deep breath and walked towards her bed to pull the cover out and just lay down on it.
"Did you by the way want me to come with you tomorrow? Considering that well, I have nothing planned I am sure, unless I am arrested for defamation or whatever..." Looking briefly upwards and sighing softly, knowing that this time he was the one inviting drama into his mind when he had clearly succeeded into distracting Crystal from hers earlier, Atlantis closed his eyes briefly to try and review everything he knew insofar, and well Mace seemed to have all the collected evidence too from the coroner, probably at the Academy.

Slightly tipsy, not that it's very problematic at all considering that this has been a successful afternoon, I just end up waving my hand to the ones leaving and smiling at them knowingly. I am sure that some will have their fun, no? If not then ... That is out of my jurisdiction. "Hot Stuff, I'll be in my office ... Leaning over to kiss him, I finally head back inside to try and get a sense of what is going to be waiting for me tomorrow, but obviously, I find it hard to concentrated fully since I am still intoxicated. Coffee."
Knowing full well that it might not instantly do the trick, and that perhaps it will give me insomnia, I am not really wanting to put this matter off until tomorrow when this whole thing is just very serious. I would love nothing more than to play but nope, that is not going to happen, not right now. Which is why I am currently in the kitchen brewing some caf and reviewing thoroughly that limited data on my datapad.
This is going to be a major clusterfuck ... I just know deep inside that Boss Man wasn't the one who has committed those crimes and I also know that some people are skilled in disguising themselves however they want. Sighing and finally noticing that the caf is done, I pour some into the cup and head straight into my office here to review everything that I have received from the paralegals and everything that has been reported ...
Here goes nothing ... Reviewing that file sent to me by one of the paralegals about that attorney who is representing the "victim", nothing seems out of place but the simple fact that he wants to win against the Vice-Governor ... And therein lays my problems, I cannot act as the AG for this one, conflict of interest. Bringing up a blank page on my data terminal, I start typing that first sentence always put whenever someone decides to resign. Oh God, this can't be happening. Groaning softly and running my fingers through my scalp, I just stare at that half formed sentence on my screen ...

Crystal was looking at her boyfriend, at his reflection on the mirror and smiled knowingly at what he had just said. "I know, handsome..." Moving her hand up to his cheek and smiling once more, she briefly looked over her shoulder and nodded. "Far from me to make you change your ways on that matter." She sincerely added on as she briefly closed her eyes upon feeling his kiss on her cheek. Turning to look at him as he laid down on the bed, she pondered a moment about her tomorrow, but before she could really think about that, she looked at him with a deadpan look. "Don't joke about that, it's not funny." Crystal said with a crisped tone, even if she knew it was one of his way to deflect a whole situation, it really wasn't making her laugh, and she just looked at him with crossed arms.
"If there is something that I have learned about you, Atlantis, it's to not plan anything when you and I both know what tomorrow can or cannot bring, so, rain check on my personal matter when it comes to you for tomorrow, as I am sure that at some point you'll still be commed for something." Crystal knew that she had sounded harsh then and there, and she really didn't want to end this day on an argument with him. Walking towards the bed, she sat down on his side and placed a hand on his chest. "Look, for tomorrow, I'll let you know, and besides, I am sure that you will know whether or not I am fine." Kissing his lips softly, she pulled back and looked at him with a knowing smile until her smile faltered and she looked in the direction of her door.
Lily...
Standing up from her bed, she walked out of her room to find her childhood friend, one thing she was surprised about right now, Lily wasn't in her room with her boyfriend since the door was open. Finding that other door open, Crystal walked in and saw Lily sitting there at her desk. "You know, for someone who called in for a no drama day in here, looks like you bend your own rules..." Crystal said teasingly as she walked further inside of the office and sat down in front of Lily's desk, clearly, the lawyer being here with a cup of caf, and not a glass of wine meant that she was here to do some work. "Spill, Ljiljana." Crystal usually never used Lily's full name unless it was really important and from what she had felt and from the look Lily had right now, this really was no laughing matter quite honestly even if she started of with a teasing statement.

Baby Girl is right ... I have been the one who has called in for a not drama day and here I am sitting at my desk looking over my data terminal and writing, or in the process of writing my letter of resignation. "What can I say, even rules are made to be bent from time to time. Even my attempt of a joke ends down the drain, my voice doesn't even hold that humor that I am usually known for, instead it just sounds plain flat. ... And she went with my full first name, this really cannot be good. I am not even staring at her with fake shock, I am just staring at her with a conflicted expression and obvious dismay. You know those accusations against Andros, I am betting those are going to stick, and I cannot and will not just sit there, and do nothing about it. I was assigned to represent the government and its affairs as a whole, what Andros is being accused of goes straight to his own person."
I obviously cannot represent him being in my current position and I obviously cannot do anything, since those type of affairs aren't supposed to be my area. I do have a choice, that is to temporarily resign, or just resign as a whole to be his defense attorney. Since obviously I cannot trust anyone on this planet to take that that position. Unless ...
Looking at Baby Girl with another dismay look, I let out an audible sigh because this whole case is giving me a headache, I take a deep breath and a sip of my caf before putting the cup down. "He needs one or some of the best defense attorneys, Crystal ... Nibbling my lower lip and looking at her with a knowing gaze, I can't even come up with saying the names, and even if I am still in touch with two of them, the third, there is just too much water there under the bridge, and it even goes as far as not really understanding what has happened. Andros needs them."
Something tells me that either Baby Girl will be bummed or something, I don't know since I really do not know what has really happened there but that simple statement, and I have promised her to never bring up that name ever again. But I also know that she does care about Boss Man, so really the ball is in her court. "Your choice, Baby Girl, or I will find a way, I'll temporarily resign from my position if it comes to that ..."

Lakehouse - Living Room
After Lily had gone off to her office like she had told him that she would be, Ryan found himself in the living room cleaning up, not that it needed to be cleaned up, it's just that he had been too restless to do anything else. Also with Ares being here but their conversation postponed until tomorrow, it did not really set him at ease. He used to be so connected to Ares, they used to share that kind of bond, that Ryan would know what ultimately his brother was feeling. Much to his dismay during their stay together, Ryan had felt that somehow something had shattered there. To him, Ares seemed to have grown stronger in the Force, the muscular built, that was undeniable, Ares was not that buff...
Finishing up with arranging things, he decided to just kick back and relax and watch some holovids, that was until he noticed that his sister had come out of her room and went straight to Lily. Furrowing his eyebrows, somehow he felt some guilt there, to think that it was his sister that had felt that something was wrong, and he had been so caught up with his own thoughts that he really didn't notice a thing. Rubbing his face as he stood up, Ryan walked straight to where his sister's room was knowing that Atlantis would be inside.
"Hey, broham, you down for some limmie on the console?" Ryan asked dubiously with an amused grin, it was their game, even if that sport sucked back in Coruscant, they always used to play that for some unfathomable reason, and now they could play it here, so hey why not, it beat the ongoing, or so it seemed sulking, right while both of their girlfriends talked.

Atlantis knew that he was out of line there, but still he did look at Crystal guiltily and just took a deep breath before saying, "I am sorry..." He meant it and he slumped further onto the bed until he slightly move aside to let her sit comfortably at least while she talked. Crystal was of course right about that, about everything, there was no point in planning, since he did live in a day to day basis, and still he couldn't believe that most of the time he would not try harder to make those plans that he said he would do...
"Okay," Atlantis said softly placing his hand on top of hers and giving her a gentle squeeze, he'd be there for her, he wanted to be there for her, at any cost, or at near any cost but he also knew that he still had several obligations to fill, damn that play being made against Andros, and damn that play being made to all of us, though perhaps he should start planning too, and also perhaps two could play this game. It wasn't as if it was the most ethical Jedi that ever existed, right?
Frowning as he noticed Crystal heading out of the room, he watched her and stood up about to follow suite to see if there was anything wrong, but it was probably something with Lily, not that he felt any disturbances there, but he figured that it was still that deep rooted connection Crystal had with her childhood friend, and therefore he opted to stay out of that matter. Until he noticed Ryan standing there and he looked at his cousin with an amused grin. "Sure, fire it up, but if both Crystal and Lily get pissed off because we do spend too much time on the console playing that, I'll tell it's your fault." Atlantis patted his cousin's back and walked out towards the living room to play some limmie, or carry on with that competition they were both in.

Crystal briefly looked upwards when her friend admitted that rules were meant to be bent from time to time, something that she could hold against from Lily whenever the time came, but now really wasn't time for jokes especially when she understood loud and clear that the accusations against Andros were going to stick. Not if those investigating though found solid proof that Andros never did those, but before Crystal could bring that up, Lily kept on talking and saying that he would be needing some representation, it was either that, or Lily was going to resign from her position...
Now it was Crystal's choice...
She didn't know how she was looking at Lily right now, she didn't know what she currently was feeling right now. Standing up, so that at least she would be doing something, instead of pacing though, Crystal just shut the office's door and kept her back turned breathing, or trying to regain her breath. At first she had no idea who Lily meant by them but when her childhood friend said that it had been Crystal's choice, she knew who she meant by then...
Kassidy, Lindsay and Stefanie.
"Stefanie..." That name echoed through her mind and she might have murmured that name, at this point Crystal had no idea, she had blanched at that realization and finally turned to look at Lily with a pained and saddened expression before shaking her head. "How can you make that my choice, Lily? And before you ask me, I know what is at stake, and I very damn well care about him, I really do. But just this, how can you make it my choice when you and I both know what has happened four years ago." Crystal at this point might have been breathing quickly and her heartbeat had exponentially increased, but still even if her emotions were a mess right then and there, she knew that Atlantis or any one attuned to the Force were bound to feel that. As a preventive measure, she lifted her right hand towards the door and locked it before sending out in a warning through the Force to Atlantis. Don't
Moving towards the desk once more and sitting down, to at least try and collect herself, Crystal placed her hand on her face and tried to breathe normally before looking at Lily. "They are the best, that much I will grant you, Lily, but please don't make this my choice, and please don't pretend that your resignation will fix everything. You and I both know that you are too close to this too, and Raan nor Andros will ever accept your resignation. So comm them, or just comm Kassidy, or you know what, I will do it." Crystal extended her right hand on the desk and gestured to be given the comlink knowing full well that Lily still had Kassidy's comm frequency. It wasn't what Crystal would have wanted in a real world, it wasn't something she wanted to be reminded of, but the mere thought of them all and ultimately her had opened up those wounds once more, wounds she had tried to close for a very long time...

Usually that is the part where I answer automatically each time I am asked a question, and usually I have no apprehension in answering, but considering that for this case, it's about contacting other lawyers, that Baby Girl and I both know, and that one of those lawyers has a deep rooted history with Crystal, I'd rather not go into that whole debate. At all. I just hold my tongue and say nothing, for fact is, I have no idea what has happened four years ago, all I know is ... They were together, supposedly were going to live their happily ever after, and then she just upped and left ... This time, I really don't know what to say and I also know that I am opening up wounds for Baby Girl, but it has come to this, it has come to that, since they are the only ones that I can trust to represent him. No one from the government can, because we all work for the government.
"Crystal ... I find myself shutting up because I really have no idea on what to say here, and considering that I hear the door locking, she also doesn't even want Lover Boy to comfort her about this. Not that I am even surprised, I probably would have done the same if I were her, but ... Kassidy it is then ..." Grabbing my comm and looking at her for a long time in silence, I feel really guilty for having brought this up, but at this point, I just hope that at least Kasey makes the trip here. Ideally I would want the three of them, that way I can just bitch slap Stef, but ... Stopping on my train of thoughts then and there, I finally decide on getting Kassidy Payne's comm frequency and dial that up before handing that to Baby Girl.
"Hopefully, she'll answer ... I don't even know what the time difference is between here and there, wherever she might have relocated, I really have no clue, but before going on our separate ways, I have made sure to get Kassidy's and Lindsay's comm frequencies just in case I need a consult for whatever matter. If not, please just tell her to comm me back, at any time."
Looking back at my data terminal, and actually feeling quite like shit because of this entire issue, I just end up quitting that document on where I had started to write my letter of resignation and just patiently waited for that comm to go through, which in this case isn't just set up yet for a holocomm in case Kase is around Stef, which would really be a bad thing for a lot of people, and especially me ...

Arching her left eyebrow dubiously, Crystal kept on looking at her childhood friend after Lily had said her name. Crystal wasn't really in the mood to debate this whole process on who was going to make a comm and who she was going to reach out. Her thought automatically went to Kassidy and not Lindsay for the simple reason that even if Crystal had been close to all of them, there was something in Kassidy that had often reminded her of Lily back in the days, back in Coruscant. Them two certainly shared a few common personality traits. Even if Crystal knew that Kassidy was really close to Stefanie and that this comm might just bring that pain back, Crystal preferred to choose the lesser of two evils. "Hopefully indeed she'll answer the comm and I am not about to go onto holocomm with her..." Just for the simple reason that knowing that Kassidy did work with Stefanie and they might currently be together, Crystal preferred for that not to happen at all, just the thought of seeing Stef again after all of these years, right that instant, it wasn't something she was prepared for.
Finally grabbing the comm and making sure that it was set up correctly, Crystal looked at the name tag onto Lily's comm and placed the device onto the table waiting patiently while that dull static tone began that said it was trying to connect to its receiver, Crystal drummed her fingertips onto the table as it made the comm straight to Honoghr, without her knowing really where their exact location was but unbeknownst to her, that comm didn't exactly go to the intended person, instead....

Ryan thought it was highly doubtful for Crystal and Lily to be pissed off because they were playing limmie on the console, but then again, Atlantis was a magnet for trouble especially with Crystal. Rolling his eyes at the statement, Ryan set up the game and nudged his adopted cousin. "Please, it's not like we are doing anything else, and we still could put all of this under the pretense that it's guys time while they are having their girls talk there in the office." It was all work and no play from the ladies there, from what he had gathered earlier from Lily but it was no biggie, he figured that he should occupy himself and Atlantis too considering that Crystal had gone to see Lily.
The game had been underway and for the time being it had been a stalemate still, that often happened between them since he had to admit that Fly Boy was good at this game, until...
Everything seemed to have started spiraling down, Ryan frowned when he clearly felt something was off, that came from his sister and he looked at his cousin, not even bothering to pause the game at first. If he had felt all that torrential emotional outburst from his sister, Atlantis was probably more affected by it. Finally Ryan paused the game and put the controller down on the coffee table. "You wan-...?" Ryan didn't even finish his statement to his cousin when he heard his sister loud and clear through the Force, since it wasn't a private statement at all and something told him that it was aimed directly at Atlantis.
That... Cannot be good. Frowning as he continued to look at his cousin, Ryan finally looked towards that closed door where his girlfriend and sister were, something did really boggle Ryan right about now. Crystal was just a mess, and Lily seemed calm, not as emotional as Crystal, what the hell had happened there and what were they talking about? Shaking his head and looking at Atlantis really not knowing what to do or say, Ryan had decided to shut up for this for he really had no idea how Atlantis would react to all of that.

Perplexedly looking at baby girl when she mentions she isn't about to go on holocomm with the one that I have always believed to have been a twin of mine in a previous life because we have been so alike back in the days, at first I do not get it and then automatically understands when it finally hits me. The one that I have always loved to call Spanky, for reasons that a few of us will understand, It all goes back to the fact that she just loves to spank when the occasion calls for it ... But that is not the point, Indeed the point would be, Kassidy is often with Stefanie and they currently might be together, and therefore, I am sure that baby girl would prefer to make sure first that Kassidy is alone or with only Lindsay. "Of course, it's your choice, baby girl." Not that I am really bothered, either way, as long as we get Kassidy on the line, then all is good in my book.
Though I am not prepared for what is coming next ...
:: You have reached the law offices of Payne, Mildhurt, and Strange - more specifically, Kassidy Payne's personal commlink, though she is unavailable at the moment. This is Stefanie Strange speaking. Is there anything I can help you with until Kassidy returns? ::
"Shit! I cannot help but to exclaim when I realize that not only that voice belongs to Stef, and not Kasey, but I end up looking at Baby Girl with wide eyes, this is something that I haven't actually foreseen. Stefanie, hang on a minute, Since this comm is on speaker, I try to get baby girl's attention to just tell her to step out and not go through this. Everyone already has a lot to think about, and this situation, whatever has happened between Crystal and Stefanie, it is, in a way, none of my business. Clearing my throat and focusing onto the comm, whatever Crystal does now, there is actually nothing I can do. Stef, this is Ljiljana, and I need Kassidy's help, or any one of you, Lindsay, you, I really don't care, but I wouldn't comm if this wasn't serious ..." Looking over at Crystal in silence, not that she has spoken yet, but I am very sure that this is a shock for her to be hearing Stefanie, for now really, I have no idea what is going through baby girl's mind.

Before the voice even introduced herself, even said her name, Crystal recognized that voice immediately. That same voice that she had been used to for seven years... Those memories came rushing back, most of it were happy ones, some weren't, but that always happened in couples when they argued right? And then there was that final memory, the one that hurt the most, Crystal took days, even months and years to get over that, and just when finally she had thought she had gotten all over that, when she had moved on, and found someone else that she loved unconditionally, Stefanie Strange's voice was on the other line.
Whatever Lily was trying to convey to her through gestures right there, Crystal found it impossible to move, her emotions kept her rooted on her seat and it was just impossible for her to move or even speak. Whatever Lily had said, Crystal didn't get any of those, it sounded like it was just a blur, a foreign dialect to her.
Unable to help herself, Crystal said her name, hoarsely "Stefanie..." Closing her eyes and trying to once again control her emotions, Crystal just didn't know how to feel right now, whether it was anger or sadness, she just didn't know. Of course she remembered Lily telling her that it would have been her choice, and she had opted to comm Kassidy originally but instead they ended up with Stefanie, because Kassidy was just unavailable. Dammit, why couldn't Lily have just killed the comm and not keep this going on? Of course, Lily wouldn't, and of course it wasn't a thinkable thing to do, Lily did need the help, he needed the help.
As much as this hurt her, more than she could ever describe, Crystal just didn't want to act selfishly at this point when she very well knew what was on the line, it was Andros' integrity, her boss, her boyfriend's brother, both of their integrity were on the line. Taking a deep breath to at least reign in her emotions, Crystal knew that she had to temporarily put a lid on her feelings, or at least try to do so for their sake.
"Stefanie." Her voice sounded more collected or at least serious this time, but it did not hide the hurt from her eyes, not that Stefanie would see it right now, since they weren't really holocomming anyways. "Recent events happened where Lily and I are, and like she said, she wouldn't be comming or I wouldn't be talking if it wasn't serious, our boss here is being accused of crimes he did not commit, and we need you to represent him." Crystal softly said as she breathed softly, "So, please can you get back to us whenever Kase and Linds are back, we'll want to speak to you three at the same time and on holocomm." At least that way, Crystal could mentally be prepared to see Stef, if it was going to take a little moment, it was a decision she had taken on the spot, and actually she would be glad seeing them though she was a little apprehensive.

The first voice Stefanie heard on the comm was Lily's, to which Stefanie would answer with obvious concern in her tone. :: Lily? Where are you? What's going on? What's wrong? :: It wasn't until she heard Crystals voice that there would be a shocked momentary silence then a single name whispered. : Crystal.... ::Kassidy would pick up the call when she entered Stefanie's office after only catching the last part Crystals response. :: Crystal? It's Kassidy. Is Lily there? What's happened? What's wrong? Are you guys alright? :: Then after another brief silence, and some noise in the background as if someone were setting something up, Kassidy would speak again. :: Okay we're all here now, and ready whenever you are, Crystal. ::The holocomm on the other end of the call would automatically activate as soon as Crystal or Lily activated their end.

Clearly hearing that Stefanie, the one I used to call the 'go getter by excellence', because let's face it, she never usually backs down in fighting in for she believes in, The whole Stefanie & Crystal thing, on how that has happened in a partial truth in that, though they did click without trouble, it was so obvious, and all had been needed was a little push ... Concerned for the reason of my comm and perhaps she wants to understand what I have come to comm now, I can understand why she sounds the way she sounds. And then the ball drops ... Why did you have to talk, oh em gee, I told you to get out! That, of course, is a statement that I cannot say out loud at the present, and Baby Girl has already done the talking and really, Stefanie is hit with a ton of durasteel too. Color me heartless here, Stef, if it weren't for what you and Baby Girl had in the past I might have just cut the comm until I am sure that I get Kassidy on the line.
... But this is not the time for me to be passive aggressive, or maybe I can be a little but in this whole case scenario on being confronted with Stefanie, really, could this get any more awkward and just depressing? I shouldn't have bent my no drama day, shit, and oh frack! Lover boy is just outside of this place! At that realization, my eyes widen and I turn to look at Baby Girl, just completely apprehensive about this whole comm thing, and of course out of the blue, Kase is there, and can be heard, asking a string of questions.
"Hold that thought for a second, Kase ... I end up telling her flatly and then muting the comm on our side and looking at Crystal with a conflicted expression. Are you sure that you are ready for this? I can take care of this, Baby Girl, you don't have to stay ... Whatever Crystal decides here and now, that will be up to her, whether she stays or not, whatever, I know it'll be her decision and perhaps on this matter I cannot make her reconsider. Unmuting the comm from our side, clearly not setting up for now the holocomm, finally I address Kase and her questions. Yeah, we are fine, Kase but like Crystal has said before you have rushed in there, I am sure, my boss and also technically Baby Girl's is in a very complicated situation."
That's all there is and that's all I will say for the time being until I get the okay from Crystal on setting up the holocomm, after all she has said previously that she wanted to speak to Kassidy, Lindsay, and Stefanie on holocomm because it is convenient and Crystal is not known for doing half-assed things and also because it's better this way than to repeat ourselves, I finally set up the holocomm on our side and obviously it has been activated on their side too. "Really, Kase, you couldn't have a limited comm transfer, like say my frequency? Arching my eyebrow dubiously and pointedly looking at her, as I am sure that she would understand that this awkward situation could have been prevented to begin with, but no. Though at the same time, considering how regularly I comm her or Lindsay, which was near to the word never, I am guessing she couldn't have known, but anyways ... Standing up from my seat, wearing exactly what I have been wearing since the pool party thing, a long shirt that covered my bikini, I finally walk over to where all of us could be facing one another and just look at the three of them, there seems also to be a fourth, that I do not know, but whatever. As Crystal has said, and as I have said when Stef picked up, I need your help, and I really am at that point where I can only trust you three to see this through despite everything ..." And for that, I pointedly look at Stef for I am sure that she will know exactly what I am referring too subtly and I am also certain that even Kassidy and Lindsay will get it. If I could avoid this whole thing, I would have but I am really at this point where I cannot and also I cannot stand aside and let Andros, the Vice-Governor of Umgul to be painted the way he is being painted by the press and half of the population.

... And of course, to make the matter worse, or not, Kassidy was already there, that meant that Crystal couldn't take a breather from the realization that the one who picked up the comm was Stefanie. Crystal had no idea if she could actually go through the holocomm right now, she couldn't even speak, or utter a single word like she had done a few moments ago to Stefanie, to the one she had tried to forget and move on from, Crystal successfully did from a really obvious perspective, she was in a relationship with Atlantis Vyridian, the Headmaster of the Order here in Umgul, she was clearly in love with the man, and now, just now that person who Crystal had been ready to settle with was on the other side of the comm...
Thankfully though, Lily had asked for Kassidy to hold on a moment, and Crystal looked at her childhood friend, noticing that she muted the comm, "What difference would it make, Lily? She already knows that I am here, with you. Now please, just do it and stop stalling, the quicker we are through this, the better." Crystal said letting out a soft breath and remaining seated at her seat right now, she really had no idea if she could stand, or even if she had the will to stand up, knowing that in a few seconds, she'd be seeing the woman she had been ready to give everything for...
That moment of truth, and it was just right there when the holocomm started, Crystal had her eyes closed, until she opened them to face reality, to finally face her what could have been reality. Stefanie Strange. A lot could have been said about Stefanie Strange, she was still as beautiful as ever but Crystal clearly was looking at her with a saddened and hurt expression, her emotions were just a mess, and she just knew that with Atlantis already being nearby, he would feel that emotional torrent she was going through. Out of all of this, what had hurt Crystal the most, it was Stefanie just walking away in the middle of the night, with a note and the ring on the note. The moment she had found that note and that ring, Crystal had no idea why, just why Stefanie had done that, had chosen the cowardly way to walk away, and that stupid excuse of not being able to handle the pressure was something that Crystal couldn't believe for a long time, it was just something she couldn't understand. Crystal loved Stefanie, would have done anything for her, and Crystal thought that Stefanie felt the same way, but instead she felt played, and just simply felt like she had been thrown aside like a worthless rag...
It took a while for Crystal to regain her confidence back, to go back to where she was now, thankfully she had Lily, and her childhood friend helped her back then, and was still helping her in many ways. And now... in a matter of seconds, Crystal was back to her self-doubting state, and it only happened when she saw clearly Stefanie there on holocomm. She had deluded herself that she could handle this when clearly it wasn't the case, but Crystal also knew that there were more at stake here than her emotions skyrocketing crazily. Her boyfriend's and his brother's integrity were at stake, and not just the Vyridian brothers but also the others from the Mist Order, and also in the long run the Senator's as he did appoint Andros as the Vice-Governor.
Taking a deep breath, Crystal finally stood up from her seat, to at least try to regain some semblance of confidence, her hair was still damped and she was wearing a tank top and mini shorts, not that she clearly cared, for they have already seen more anyways, so whatever she was wearing. Briefly closing her eyes, Crystal addressed the three of them, and even the fourth, someone she didn't know at all, but if she was there, then it only meant that they trusted her and perhaps were grooming the one whose name she didn't know. "Right, it goes like this." Crystal started to explain, usually she did not hesitate to keep eye contact with people, and on this case she mainly looked at Lindsay and Kassidy and was obviously avoiding to look in Stefanie's eyes. "Currently, Lily and I work for the government here in Umgul, I as the Chief Financial Officer, and she," Glancing at Lily briefly and focusing back her attention onto Lindsay, "As the Attorney General, and our boss, the Vice-Governor of this planet is being accused of murders, that while for the population at large, might be the truth, but we, without any shadow of doubts know he simply could not have killed those people, here is the crux though, he does not have the most amiable outward appearance but in truth, he is caring and tries really hard to make this place better for its population. And he is a Force user."
Finally Crystal, even with every part of her rebelling from doing this, turned look at Stefanie, straight at her. "Like Lily said, you are the only ones we can trust to exonerate him, so please do represent him under Umgul's laws..." She said in a pleading tone, obviously she cared a lot about Andros, and that was also because he was the brother of her boyfriend, something that Crystal actually did or did not purposely omitted.

When the holocomm flickered to life in Lily's office, all four women in Stefanie's office were silent for a moment while Lily spoke directly to Kassidy. Kassidy listened intently to what Lily had to say about her boss being in a complicated situation and even gave a tiny smirk when Lily asked her why she couldn't have limited her comm transfers to Lily's own frequency. Leaning a hip against Stefanie's desk, Kassidy folded her arms across her chest and met Lily's gaze.:: Lily, my sweet little honeybee, your subtlety still astounds me...and maybe if you called more often than once, or twice, every year then I wouldn't have to worry about limiting my comm transfers. As for this 'complicated situation'.... :: Kassidy knew her last comment had a double meaning, and she meant it to, while she cast a quick glance around the desk at Lindsay and Nikky with her gaze resting briefly on Stefanie before looking back to Lily. :: We're going to need a little more information before we can do, or decide on, anything.... ::Lindsay, who had been silent up until now, still had a hand on Stefanie's shoulder when Crystal looked at her and began explaining hers and Lily's respective jobs within Umguls government. Lindsay then understood why it would be difficult for Lily to represent the Vice Governor and why Lily and Crystal had asked them to be his representation. Crystal then shifted her attention to Stefanie and spoke the last words in a pleading tone. Lindsay removed her hand from Stefanie's shoulder, letting it slide to the back of Stefanie's chair while focusing on Crystal.:: You say he is a Force User then shouldn't the Jedi on the planet be handling this, or have the local authorities even asked for their involvement? ::She inquired with genuine curiosity knowing that the Jedi usually dealt with these things when a Forceling, of any affiliation, was involved in any crimes. Maybe the Jedi couldn't get involved for some reason this time, she thought to herself. Meanwhile Nikky had handed her a datapad which she read over before handing it to Stefanie. Stefanie read the information on the device then carefully laid it on the desk in front of her. Leaning back in the chair, with a contemplative look, she then pushed up the sleeves of the casual long sleeved t-shirt she wore. Reaching out with her left hand, a small tattoo visible on the inside of her wrist, she picked up the datapad again and handed it to Kassidy.
After Kassidy had read over the contents of the datapad, Stefanie gave a small sigh and braced both hands, palms down, on the desk in front of her and stood up. She kept her hands flat on the desk and raised her eyes to Crystals again. She had seen the hurt and sadness in Crystals eyes, on her still stunningly beautiful features, and it tore her up inside knowing she was the one responsible for it.
Stamping down the rising tide of emotions, Stefanie's eyes never left Crystal's as she mustered up the courage she was known for and spoke in a surprisingly even tone. :: Right. :: She began slowly at first, gathering her thoughts as she went along. :: Okay, IF we do this, we do it our way....within the laws of Umgul of course. We set aside all differences we have, or had, and focus on the case....focus on proving the Vice Governor's innocence. Can we all at least agree to do that? ::She arched an eyebrow while quickly glancing around to everyone involved before settling her gaze on Crystal once more, waiting for either Crystal or Lily to answer - seemingly bracing herself for whatever came.
