Lakehouse
Atlantis had been there at the living room, obviously playing on the console with his girlfriend’s brother. One of those moments where the two of them actually hanged out and did typical guy thing, though clearly Ares was missing but also Andros and Franz. It was either console playing or even night out. But this time it was just he and Ryan here in the living room, while Crystal went to speak with her childhood friend. Both of the guys were just having a blast until he felt that proverbial disturbance…
It wasn’t danger, far from it actually, instead what Atlantis felt then and there, was really disturbing to the point that he even felt his heart clenching when Crystal’s emotions acted out. Atlantis took a deep breath and dreaded something, he wasn’t exactly sure what it was and he was even about to head there in the office until he head Crystal’s command to not even think about…
What?
Atlantis furrowed his eyebrows and looked at his adopted cousin, clearly for now at a loss for words, and even worse, Atlantis didn’t know what to do. A big part of him wanted to head there in the office and find out what had caused Crystal to have this emotional outburst, but at the same time, considering that he did know her, that she was an independent woman through and through, perhaps he probably shouldn’t and listen then and there. But then, it got worse. It was hard to explain, it really was, and considering that the voices were dimmed in the office and he couldn’t clearly make out the words that were being said, Atlantis just couldn’t stand down. Right now, just right this instant, he had wished that he had Franz’s ability to listen beyond any walls, anything at all.
Standing up from the couch after putting the controller down, Atlantis looked at Ryan with a noticeable frown and shook his head, clearly indicating that Atlantis didn’t care what Crystal had said to not go there, on this matter, he really was drawing the line. A few moments ago, Crystal seemed fine, especially when she and he were in her room and now? What in the Force’s name is going on?! He thought to himself before he advanced towards the door and clearly heard multiple voices behind it. Frowning once more, Atlantis took a deep breath and listened for a few moments, now that he was closer, he could at least extrapolate what was being said, but that didn’t matter much to him, because right now he was more concerned about Crystal and what she was currently feeling.
The hell with this, she can be pissed off at me, I’d rather have that than not knowing. Knocking on the door loudly and calling out behind it. “Crystal, please open up, what’s wrong?.” Atlantis’ voice was concerned and he knew that he might have interrupted a conversation there, about apparently the case and proving Andros’ innocence, but this, just this whole thing, Crystal being that way, Atlantis couldn’t stand it, he was concerned for her and moreover he really cared about her and loved here, which was why she wanted to know the reasons why she was feeling the way she was feeling currently.
Placing his hand on the handle of the door, again to check if it had been opened, which clearly not for it was still locked, Atlantis closed his eyes momentarily to focus on the lock within so that he could turn it open to unlock the door to at least see with his own eyes what was going on and who Crystal and Lily were talking to...

"Sure, Spanky sweetheart, it would still stand to reason that I still do make the comm once or twice every year and therefore would still warrant a limited comm transfer ... Granted, I have commed her for her birthday or whatever, but there is also certain times that I have indeed commed her when it was a case of force majeure and I clearly did not have a choice, like the one right now, but still that did not matter currently. Though now that I think about it, perhaps any outsiders would consider that Spanky and I are perpetually having a debate, but actually far from it, really, this has always been our way with interacting with one another, and not a lot would know about that, except the five of us in this call. The Newbie wouldn't know ... She looks like she is being groomed by the three of them, and clearly she is looking at something over the datapad, but I cannot be certain really, but what the heck, As for the info you are requesting ..." Closing my mouth considering that Baby Girl is the one fielding that matter and she just goes on the most important details, our current location and specifically our jobs also.
"Actually, Sweet Cheeks, about Jedi involvement ... Stopping on the spot right then and there, mid-sentence and looking over my shoulder hearing Lover Boy's words and even tone, well of course I should have known, with Crystal being here and her being face to face with Stefanie. Gosh, we really are in a complicated situation now, and Lover Boy is even right there outside and that click is a tale tell. He has unlocked the door! Turning to look back at Lindsay with a finger up, I was about to continue with my original statement, but obviously something does catch my eyes and that obvious something is the tattoo on Stefanie's left wrist ... Really, Bolter?! There has been a time when I used to refer to Stefanie as Bodacious, but that word has been long stored and has been replaced as Bolter, for that explicit reason that she just split in the middle of the night. ... And now she is giving terms, straight at Crystal. Fighting that big urge to groan and just retort Stef's statement there, I still have that promise to keep anyways, and I intend to keep it. Finally turning to look behind me when I see the door opening, I gesture for Lover Boy to come inside. Here is one, please meet Atlantis Vyridian, the Headmaster of the Jedi Order here, and also as you have perhaps guessed or found out from the Newbie's search, the identical twin to the Vice-Governor."
I am pretty sure that Lindsay will understand everything and why it is quite impossible to have the Jedi from this planet to investigate, already though I know that Lover Boy has taken the necessary steps to find others to investigate and find out the truth, but either way, Lover Boy and Boss Man still looked alike and also because Lover Boy is the Headmaster of the Mist Order, there are also talks about him sweeping those accusations under the rug. "So, not only we do have a problem, but we are also in a major conflict of interests stance, either from my side, or his."
Not really wanting to get into that field where Stef and Crystal are both concerned, especially when Stef seems to be looking straight at Baby Girl, when really, considering that I am the one who has originally taken the decision to contact them and not Crystal, though in the end she has relented because I have no other choice. This situation between Crystal and Stefanie is really awkward and now with Lover Boy in the room, it's worse, I probably should have pushed him out and tell him not to come inside. But I can also understand why he has felt the need to rush in here, something tells me that Baby Girl is really not fine, and he has felt it ... And just for that, and because of that, I am really apprehensive on what will be said next by Baby Girl.

Crystal idly listened to Lily's an Kase's exchange, but at the same time, there wasn't much said there about the case, it was just Lily and Kase back into their verbal sparring match like back then. Instead her focus had still been onto Stefanie, and even though she wanted to look away, and just leave the office, she really felt like she was grounded on the spot. Crystal really had deluded herself into thinking that she could face the three of them, face Stefanie. Thankfully though, thanks to Lindsay, Crystal had been brought out of her stupor and it was only then that she realized that Lindsay's hand had been all of this time, since the holocomm had started, on Stefanie's shoulder. What was the point in all of that? Was Stefanie hurting like Crystal was? In Crystal's mind, that really was a big time no, for in that long relationship they both had, their seven years spent together, it had been Stefanie who walked away, and not the other way around!
Crystal knew though where Kassidy's and Lindsay's loyalty laid, it was just the same as Lily, it laid on Crystal's side, and yet in that speck of a moment, Crystal's hurt had been multipled, and also brief anger flashed inside of her, but she very well knew that she couldn't quite target Lindsay currently with her anger, nor she clearly couldn't target Kassidy or the fourth person right there busy with the datapad behind Stefanie. This was a matter between Crystal and Stefanie. Simple as that.
Looking back at Lindsay for a brief moment when she asked about the Jedi's involvement or not, from the corner of her eyes though, Crystal noticed something, and that something was Stefanie's tattoo on her wrist. Crystal frowned and closed her eyes as she remembered exactly how that tattoo came about...
Snapping out of her thoughts upon hearing Atlantis' voice behind the door, Crystal didn't find her voice to answer, she had been choked up upon relieving that memory, that tattoo's memory, and it wasn't until Atlantis did come into the office that Crystal looked at him with hurt but at the same time guilt because he really wasn't supposed to find out this way, he wasn't supposed to be face to face with the woman that meant the galaxy to Crystal back then. Wanting to say something, Crystal started to open her mouth to just blatantly say that Atlantis was her boyfriend and that his brother meant a lot to all of them, but it didn't quite go there, for Stefanie had also decided to speak, which was why Crystal focused her attention onto her, and at what Stefanie said, Crystal's jaw locked at first trying to control what she could control right now, but she really wasn't able to do so, for Stefanie's demands there, just clenched her entire being, her heart. "Really Stefanie, from never giving me a choice, you are now asking me, to put all of our differences aside? Crystal rhetorically asked and perhaps her voice went a tone higher than she would usually speak. This was all draining her and she still couldn't believe that it had to be within Stefanie's rules, this time, again. "I have never had any problems with Kassidy or Lindsay, and last I have heard neither has Lily. And now from not giving me a choice when you walked away, you are giving me an ultimatum and just practically leave the fate of my boyfriend's brother into my hands?!" Looking at Stefanie accusingly, Crystal shook her head and raised her hand to prevent any one from saying anything. "Fine, I will do it on your terms but that is only because I know I do not have a choice, again, and that I also know that you three are the best, but also because Andros just like Atlantis need their names to be cleared from the press' slanders." Turning around since she had already said her piece, and clearly she didn't need to linger for Stefanie again had chosen her terms, Crystal walked passed Lily and Atlantis but only after briefly stopping by his side and looking up at him. "I'll be in training room." And with that she walked out from the office and didn't even look back.

Kassidy smiled with amusement at Lily's retort, knowing that the other woman spoke her mind more often than not, much like Kassidy herself often did. Before Kassidy could answer, a soft knock and a muffled voice could be heard at the door to Lily's office. Stepping a little to the side Lily motioned someone in, a bare chested man, and introduced him as Atlantis Vyridian. Kassidy and Lindsay looked at each other before Lindsay took the initiative to speak.
:: Mr. Vyridian, it's nice to meet you. Please allow me to introduce myself and my colleagues; I'm Lindsay Mildhurt, this is Kassidy Payne, Stefanie Strange, and Nicole Skylander. We are all senior partners, and a partner in training, within the law firm of Payne, Mildhurt, and Strange. :: She motioned toward each of the women as she spoke their names, and briefly explained their positions within the firm, then returned her gaze toward Atlantis once more. :: Lily and Crystal were just telling us about the things your brother is being accused of, and if you and he will allow us, we'd like to help in his defense. ::
It was then that the bottom seemed to fall out of everything when Crystal addressed what Stefanie had said before Atlantis' arrival. Stefanie, much to her credit, had held her gaze while Crystal spoke those truthful, yet piercing, words. With her hands still braced on the desk, and jaw visibly clenched, a flash of pain showing in her pale hazel eyes, she stood and took everything Crystal had to say. Feeling like she'd been punched in the chest, Stefanie sucked in a deep breath letting it out as she slowly sat down. :: I didn't mean it as an ultimatum, Tigress.... :: Glancing over to Kassidy, she silently pleaded with the other woman to finish the conversation with Lily and Atlantis.
Kassidy gave a slight nod and straightened up from where she sat on the corner of the desk, gazing at Lily and Atlantis for a moment before speaking. :: Okay, Lily, Mr. Vyridian....I think what Stefanie was trying to say was...that if we do this, we're going to need to be able to do it in a way that only we can - with your help of course, Honeybee... :: Folding her arms casually across her chest, she met Lily's gaze with her own. :: Because even with our seemingly excellent track record in the courtroom, we're still going to need back up plans to the back up plans....and probably even more back up plans for those. With a high profile case like this we can't afford any mistakes. So....will you help us as much as Umguls laws allows it's AG and Headmaster of the Jedi Order to help? :: She looked to Atlantis for a moment before shifting her gaze back to Lily's awaiting their answers.
During all of this Nikky had stood quietly behind Stefanie's chair. While it might have looked like she wasn't paying attention, she had in fact heard every word and seen every reaction. While Lily had called her a Newbie, she didn't mind the nickname at all considering Kassidy often, though, affectionately called her "Rookie", she wasn't so new that she couldn't see that there was more going on here than met the eye.

Lakehouse — Office
Atlantis finally got access to the office, not that he was originally allowed to do so, for it had been locked, and he just went inside because to him, feeling that Crystal was currently in an emotional mess wasn’t something he would stay away from. Not by a long shot at all. When Lily just gestured for him to walk inside, he looked at her briefly but ultimately his gaze turned towards Crystal, towards whose emotions were clearly conflicted. And when their gazes locked with one another, Atlantis saw the hurt in those lovely eyes of hers, it really made him frown for obviously he still had no idea why she was this way, and why she was also in pain. He was about to reach out for her but he didn’t quite get to that part for one of the women on the holocomm, not that he really paid that much attention, had addressed him.
Looking at the blonde woman, Atlantis smiled faintly and finally understood the whats and whys Lily had introduced him the way she did. He was finally able to put two and two together, and it was confirmed by the one whose name was Lindsay Mildhurt. At the introduction he did look at each and every one of them and had inclined his head respectfully but it wasn’t until his gaze had landed onto Stefanie Strange that he noticed quite clearly that her gaze was onto Crystal. Finally deciding to speak, Atlantis looked at Lindsay after briefly glancing at Lily, “I cannot speak for my brother, but first please just ca—…” Atlantis cut short right then and there, just when he was about to ask Lindsay to just call him by his name and just omit the whole Mister thing or whatever, Atlantis despised titles by default, and this wasn’t different at all, even if he knew that them being lawyers, it was how they did it. But unable to finish his sentence right then and there, he clearly heard Crystal addressing Stefanie mainly.
His head turned towards his girlfriend and heard each and every words she had said to Stefanie, and that was when he finally understood everything and why Crystal had been the way she was emotionally ever since she stepped into the office to speak with Lily. Stefanie Strange had been the one who meant everything to Crystal Kayne a few years ago…
Atlantis remembered that episode clear as day, even if that had happened a while ago, he had accepted all of that and he also knew that he and Crystal had shared a lot that day, it just was a heart to heart talk. He had told her everything about him and how he had gotten that stab wound under his thorax, but also why he had so many scars. And Crystal had told him that there was a woman in her life; they had met in college and had even stayed together for seven years up until four years ago now, when Crystal’s other half back then, broke off the engagement and just left, the only explanation had been on that note… Now, just now he was face to face with Crystal’s past, and he had noticed her falling apart to what Crystal had said. Even after his girlfriend had walked away from the office after letting him know where she would be, Atlantis could not help but to keep looking at Stefanie Strange.
It wasn’t at all to lay a claim or just telling the dark haired lawyer to back off entirely, but Atlantis was just looking at her because from what he saw right then and there, he could see from her demeanor right there on the holocomm that Crystal had just shaken Stefanie’s entire being. Atlantis was simply conflicted, he didn’t specifically know how he was feeling, a mixture of guilt and perhaps even feeling sorry. And while yes, usually he would have stood by Crystal’s side, he always did because it was him, at the same time though there also was that other story he didn’t know about — Stefanie’s story. He simply did not, and far from him in wanting to even get into the role of peace bringer, even if it was his original calling.
But here, just no, simply no and that was between Crystal and Stefanie in the end, no one else.
Finally snapping out of his own thoughts and his own emotions, or at least tried to do so, Atlantis looked from Stefanie to Kassidy who had picked up the conversation then and there. Still he couldn’t stop that echoing word that Stefanie had used to refer to Crystal who just went to the training room, again. Atlantis figured he would have to take care of that in a little moment, unless Ryan did, but… Rubbing the root of his nose, and trying to clear his mind from all of those thoughts, the mixed feelings he had ever since he stepped into the office, Atlantis finally focused his attention entirely onto Kassidy.
“Please, call me Atlantis, for one.” He said with a confident and friendly tone, and clearly it meant that he was going to stay for this matter and even if every women there on the holocomm had come to a realization that he was Crystal’s boyfriend, it really wasn’t going to change a damn thing, not here and not right now. “And if Lily and Crystal called for your help, then it is clearly for a very good reason. I will talk to my brother, as I am sure that you were told that he is not the most approachable person ever, but I will do what I can as his brother, but when it comes as the capacity of the Headmaster of the Mist Order here, I have pulled away, officially, from the investigation, other Jedi are on the case with a Sector Ranger. But I don’t foresee the Mist Order or its Councilors giving you a hard time, therefore you will get our help as a whole.” Giving the condensed version right there on how the situation had developed and so on, Atlantis glanced at Lily momentarily before inclining his head briefly. “I am sure that the Attorney General will help you out better when it comes to the legislation of this planet, and if I understood correctly, it’s near aligned to Galactic standards.”
Smiling briefly, knowing that Lily had busted her ass off for all of that with Andros also, Atlantis finally returned his attention onto the four lawyers there, wherever they actually were, location wise, and nodded slightly. “As for when to expect you here, I will issue additional clearances in your names to have you directly planetside, without too many red tapes, but you will still to go through customs, and I am sure that Lily will explain the rest to you four.” Taking a deep breath Atlantis tilted his head on the side briefly and glanced over his shoulder before returning his gaze onto the lawyers there. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, Counselors, it was a pleasure meeting you,” He bowed respectfully to the waist and stood upright again, before looking at Lily meaningfully, he finally turned around to actually check upon Crystal who had said that she would be in the training room, again.

Now that he was left to his own devices, Atlantis standing up and seemingly going to see what the heck was going on, Ryan still had that frown on his features as he followed every movement of his cousin's up till the office door. Ryan was deeply feeling bad for his sister, and while he knew that they might have not been that close like Crystal was to Lily, or even Atlantis, Ryan still cared, because all in all, Crystal was still his sister, she was still his family too, even if he only found out about her recently... That aside, Ryan simply couldn't stay idle as those emotions had been very familiar to him in the past. Standing up to put away everything and he had started to do so, until he finally heard the voice and the names said by that voice...
Frowning, once more Ryan put away everything and heard those words said by his sister for the door had been left open this time and he saw her walking out of the office, he was about to call out to her and tell her something along the lines that if she wanted to vent, he was there, but that did not happen at all, for soon after even Atlantis had walked out of the office in pursuit, Ryan was certain of that, of Crystal... Still his girlfriend was still within the office, and he just had to know, he just had to find out for himself.
Putting everything away, Ryan set off towards the office to find Lily, "Mi cuore...?" (My heart) Obviously stopped mid-sentence upon noticing the holocomm there, and the women that had been talking to his girlfriend and sister for a little while now. Ryan was wearing his wife-beater and shorts and clearly his main focus had been on Kassidy Payne before turning to look at Lily. "I..." Ryan stopped right then and there, knowing that him stating an obvious wouldn't be a welcoming thing considering the auras he had felt previous from Crystal mainly. "Right, I will let you finish here..." Ryan said softly with a frown, even if he did catch some words that have been spoken, it was none of his business and he was guessing that even his girlfriend would tell him to take a walk.
But before even turning away, or do anything else, Ryan advanced towards Lily and placed his hand on the small of her back before leaning over in her direction to whisper in her ear. "Atlantis and I will take care of Crystal while you finish up here." Pecking her temple, he finally turned his attention to the lawyers from Honoghr and smiled a little smile at them. "Kassidy, Lindsay, Stefanie, and Nicole." He inclined his head and finally turned around to exit the office and closing the door behind him and perhaps see if Atlantis wanted him to check on his sister or just leave the boyfriend do it himself...

Fighting that urge to kick myself, or literally facepalm right now, especially with everything that has been said by Baby Girl ... It's not like I can fault her for that, Bolter did look straight at Baby Girl asking for all of the differences to be put aside. Stefanie has delivered her statement badly and clearly Crystal has taken it the wrong way, not that it's not understandable there to me ... But that aside, clearly looking at Stefanie right there and noticing that she has just lost all of her bearings, not just that, but she had the audacity to call Crystal the way she used to call Baby Girl ... That is just something that I am keeping in mind to revisit later, because right now Sweet Cheeks and Spanky are doing the talking to Lover Boy.
Well ... that should be fun. Even if that is totally sarcasm from my part, at least that thought of mine, the only thing I see is that Lover Boy is being a professional and giving the bullet points to all of them. I do not know on whether to be in awe, or just ... I am sure that by now, Lover Boy is quite aware from that brief exchange between Stefanie and Crystal, that the two of them were a couple a while ago, and yet, he is still here addressing the questions and even looking at me for some confirmation. My gosh, someone give this dude a medal or just an award for boyfriend of the year! But pulling away from my thoughts when clearly I am reminded about the reason of this comm and I do look at Kase for a moment with an impassive expression while Lover Boy takes his leave.
"Span- ... Stopping on the spot as just I am about to address her points, I am interrupted suddenly by Hot Stuff and I look over my shoulder with an arched eyebrow and just notice his line of sight ... Turning to look back at Kassidy with an amused expression because just that look there from Ryan, well, it says every thing. Uh huh, it would be best if you left, Hot Stuff. Closing my eyes for the briefest moment and hearing what he tells me, or has murmured to me, I nod and smile at him. Thank you."
Even as he leaves, and clearly confirming something that I have had an idea about. He knows all of their names, even the Newbie there, before I have known ... Yeah. Obviously my first intuition, since he has been looking at her first and foremost. "He is the guy, you have been telling me about, huh? Not really needing a confirmation or anything whatsoever, I wave my hand briefly to get over that brief amused feeling because quite clearly I need to be serious for the next part, which is why I am glad that Ryan has closed the door, and that I currently have a chair right there before me and I am leaning against it with my hands on the back of the chair. Right ... Okay, first things first, I am quite aware of your excellent track record in the courtroom, but, Looking over Stefanie this time and shaking my head. I am more concerned about you, Strange. Lifting my right hand to prevent Kase, Linds or even Nikky to say anything right now or interrupt me because I am directly speaking to Stefanie, right now. You do know that you have lost the right to call Crystal that way, four years ago? And you do realize also that I will question your integrity on taking this high profile case, with every one that is involved in it, because in the end, what makes me so sure that you can handle the intensity of all this? I am sure that Stefanie will remember that word that I have just used and that she will know that I am aware, intimately aware of that note she has left Crystal four years ago. I did say that if I have contacted you, it was for a reason, and I am not about to jeopardize this whole case, by actually agreeing to all of your terms, right here and right now when I have no insurance that you are up to this task, Strange."
Taking a deep breath and looking at Kase and Linds with a frown, I finally shake my head and sighed softly. "You know what, just get back to me on this, by holonet message, or comm me directly Kase, if you all agree, and if also Stefanie gets over her issues with Crystal. I need the three of you and not just one or two. It's all or nothing, Kase, and the quicker you give me the answer, the better it'll be for me to start preparing those back up plans. Until I hear from you again." Taking a deep breath and advancing towards my holocomm, I finally kill the transmission and release that breath that I have been holding on ...

Lakehouse - Workout Room
Crystal found herself here, again, and while usually this was the place where she would try and punch her frustrations away, when they occurred, currently she wasn't doing that at all. Instead, Crystal was sitting there against the wall, her knees up and her arms resting on those trying to stop herself from crying... She had thought that she could face Stefanie, stand strong right in front of her, and for a moment there she did but the dam just broke the moment she stepped out of the office. She thought she had cried all the tears of her body when Stefanie walked away, and that went on for months until Crystal finally got a solid job here, away from Coruscant, away from her past there. Crystal really had deluded herself into thinking that she could face Stefanie Strange especially after how their relationship had ended...
One simple note, a note that she had a hard time to come to terms with. She had known Stefanie to be an empowered woman, someone who always fought for what was right. Everything about Stefanie, everything that had made Crystal fall in love with her back then, it was her personality, and everything she represented, and that note just obliterated everything she had known about Stefanie. Crystal felt like a fool back then and she even remembered comming Stefanie several times, but never once she picked up and Crystal had finally just left a message that said.
Of course, Crystal was crying when she had left that message, her words were choked and she had felt that the ground was swallowing her whole from the heartbreak she was going through at that moment.
... And right now she was feeling those emotions again, and she really didn't know how to deal with that, with everything that had been going on, her seeing Stefanie again, the one she used to refer to as My Treasure, because she had been the one that mattered the most back then, and also because Stefanie had been the one she was just settled with, comfortable with, and always had fun with, with their group of friends, whom were all present there in the holocomm, they always had fun together, and just being there with all of them brought back all of those memories and everything they had shared together...
Trying to wipe her tears away, she just was unable to stop herself from crying, and she knew that she would have a hard time in doing so. And now, her boyfriend was just there, how could she really face him when she had told him that the woman there in the holocomm was her past and he was her present and future and that she did love him unconditionally...?

Lakehouse — Workout Room
Just like a lot would have guessed, Atlantis went straight to find Crystal. He wished that he could have done this sooner, when she walked away after speaking to Stefanie Strange — Crystal’s ex-fiancée. Despite him remembering that brief episode that had happened a while ago, after he and Crystal were completely done with the moving process to the lakehouse, he still knew that there was more to it. Not that he had asked for any more details back then, for not only he had preferred for her to share if and when she wanted to, but also because he just wasn’t sure that he could hear the whole truth, hear and know that Crystal had been happy and then all of a sudden she wasn’t any more.
It wasn’t because he did not feel confident enough to hear that story at all, nor was he doubting Crystal’s love for him, but it was only because he had no idea how he would be able to reassure her if she ever got to speak about that chapter of her life to him. Now, that chapter of Crystal’s life was brought back to the forefront. She and her childhood friend clearly commed them to ask for their help, Atlantis admired Crystal, and even more because of that, she was so willing to go through that heartbreak again only because she wanted for Andros to be exonerated of all of those charges.
… And now, Crystal was right there sitting on the ground crying. Atlantis couldn’t fathom that kind of loss, and perhaps he wasn’t, at all, the best candidate to cheer her up, he wished he had the right words to say. But he knew that those would be useless, which was why instead, he sat down next to her and wrapped an arm around her shoulder and pulled her gently against him, to hold her close, and at least to comfort her.
“Let it all out, angel…” Atlantis murmured softly as he even rocked her gently. He just knew that if he told her that everything was going to be okay, that was just a blatant lie, because it wouldn’t be okay at all, he could feel about affected Crystal had been from that exchange with Stefanie, but he also saw how Stefanie had been affected from what Crystal had said. Though there was nothing much he could do for Stefanie right there, and he was certain that her friends right there on the holocomm would tend to her, right now his sole priority was Crystal, just to be there for her, and just to do whatever she needed him to do.
Still though, he really wanted to thank his girlfriend, and he really wanted her to realize that she was so strong, but perhaps she already knew that and perhaps she had been told that many times. “Crystal…,” Looking at her sad stricken face, he moved his hand up to her cheek and slowly wiped some of her tears away with his thumb. “I wanted to thank you, but also apologize on the fact that I am sorry that you had to make that decision, for me and for my brother…” Leaning over to press a kiss on her forehead, he took a deep breath and pulled his head back, his eyes did show admiration but also sadness, and guilt. “I do not even know what I have done to have deserved someone like you, someone so strong that wouldn’t hesitate to be hurt in the process...”
There were many things he could say about Crystal Kayne, and many more ways he could describe her, and he also found it just shocking that someone — anyone — would ever let Crystal go. It was just unimaginable to him, another reason why in the corner of his mind, something must have happened to Stefanie Strange to let the woman in his arms go…

Lakehouse - Office - HolocommAfter Crystal left and Atlantis had spoke before leaving himself, there was another who had entered Lily's office. Kassidy arched an amused eyebrow when Ryan Solaris came into view of the holocomm camera and looked over to her before turning to look at Lily with a short stammer then a kiss on her temple. He then leaned over and whispered something to Lily, who in turn told him it would be best if he left. Kassidy couldn't help but chuckle when he faced the camera again and greeted her and the others, all by their first names, gathered in Stefanie's office. He then left Lily's office as the Umgul AG focused her attention on Kassidy once more with an amused expression while asking Kassidy if he was the guy that she'd told Lily about. Smiling sheepishly, Kassidy gave a little shrug of her shoulders.:: Yes, he is, Honeybee. Such a small galaxy we live in.... ::She mused, silently thinking about the fun times she and Ryan had together. Her attention was quickly snapped back to the present when Lily began speaking again and had apparently set her sights on Stefanie. Shocked for a few seconds, Kassidy started to speak up, :: Look, Jankovic.... :: but was temporarily silenced when Lily raised a hand. Narrowing her eyes with pursed lips, she glanced over to Stefanie.:: Stef, you don't have to lis.... ::Leaning back in her chair, Stefanie also raised a hand to halt Kassidy in her speaking. :: It's alright Kasey. :: She stated in a soft weary voice. :: Lily has the right to say her piece. It might as well be now instead of later.... :: Sighing softly, Stefanie rested her elbows on the desk while folding her hands and bringing her forefingers up to rest against her lips, silently listening to Lily's harsh assessment of her. Outwardly, she was trying to hold everything in check, though the emotional pain briefly flickered in her eyes.:: Fine. :: Kassidy waved a hand in the air before leaning a hip on the edge of the desk once more. Her unhappiness at being silenced, first by Lily then also by Stefanie in probably less than a minute, apparent on her face. Lindsay and Nikky remained silent through the whole lecture/verbal beatdown though Lindsay did keep watching Stefanie closely, seeing her reactions and the pain inflicted by Lily's words.
With Kassidy still fuming, Lily wrapped up the holocom by telling her to just contact her when they had made a decision and when Stefanie decided she could get over her issues with Crystal. The AG could then be seen moving toward the holocam but before she cut the call completely, Kassidy had begun to speak.:: Gahd dammit, Ljiljana! That wa... ::In an instant Kassidy's words were silenced as the holocomm was cut off on both ends when Lily ended the call.

Lakehouse - Workout Room
When Crystal noticed that her boyfriend was at the threshold of the training room, she wanted to stop these tears. Unfortunately for her, she couldn't stop herself, and she couldn't stop crying, and it even intensified when Atlantis had told her to let it all out. His gentle tone, and even what he had been doing made her briefly wonder how just a man like him could be so understandable, could be so non judgmental, especially when she knew that he being a Jedi would perhaps tell her or give her pointers on how to control herself, but he did not. Atlantis wasn't being a Jedi right now, instead he was just being the supportive, kind, and affectionate man she fell in love with.
Still she cried, from the hurt she had felt right there when she saw Stefanie on the holocomm, but she also cried because she felt so guilty towards Atlantis...
To think that now he was the one apologizing and he was the one wondering how he deserved her? In her mind, that sounded so wrong. Wrong because, he shouldn't apologize, and he shouldn't be the one wondering why he was deserving. For a moment there, Crystal was silent, because she really did not know what to say. Though she just knew that she actually was the lucky one. Despite her issues there with Stefanie, she had agreed with Lily's assessment that Andros did need them, and that they were the only ones she could trust to see this through, but also because she didn't know any other lawyers but just them, and Lily obviously, but again as mentioned many times, Lily resigning wouldn't have changed a thing at all...
"Atlantis," Crystal began softly as she looked at him, and into his eyes. She couldn't bear to see the guilt on his handsome features, and she really didn't want him to feel guilty at all. Moving her hands up to his own, she looked at him for a brief moment before leaning over to kiss him softly and then resting her forehead against his own. "Please know and understand that you have nothing to apologize for..." Pulling her head back and trying to at least regain more of her common sense, that had actually left her earlier. Sighing softly and briefly looking away with frown, and thankfully though her tears were stopping from freely falling on her face. "I thought that I would be able to face her, but clearly even after four years, I was wrong..." This time, when she looked back at Atlantis, she was the one looking at him guiltily, the fact that Atlantis was taking blame for her decision on comming, when he really shouldn't at all.
"I have brought this upon myself, and myself only, handsome." Crystal told him sincerely, he shouldn't bear the guilt, the blame, or anything at all. "They are the best, or at least the only best, Lily and I know, and with everything occurring here, you and your brother deserve the best, and also because you always bring out the best in me, Atlantis. So if I can return the favor in small ways to unburden you with what you and your brother are going through, I will not hesitate to hurt myself in the process." Crystal said sincerely and with a certain finality. "You always carry the weight of the galaxy on your shoulders, and sometimes, just let the others do it too, please? So do not feel guilty or anything, because I refuse to have this issue weight on you further..." Placing both of her hands on his handsome features, she leaned over and kissed his lips softly, so that at least he wouldn't try to contradict or even counter her, like she knew he might...

Lakehouse - Office
Even before having killed the comm, I was already aware how pissed off Kassidy was ... Not only have I cut her off, but so has Stefanie, and the statement from Payne right there, cut off again, quite honestly it has not fazed me at all. Kassidy can be pissed off at me, I wouldn't care, not because her opinions mean nothing, But I just know that at the end of the day, she and I would be golden once more, but also I am really hoping that she, just like Lindsay, gets a clue why I have redirected all of my words towards Stefanie ... They didn't look like they were aware, and damn for not bending that promise I have made to Baby Girl, I should have perhaps asked on one of those comms I have with Spanky, if she knew the real reasons why Bolter just walked away and just left a stupid note.
Not so entirely heartless, mainly because I know how much this has been an emotional exertion to Baby Girl, I still do feel guilty for all of this, but really, I clearly am backed up against a wall between my want and need to help out Boss Man, and Lover Boy too ... May the powers that be help me, and I hope that Baby Girl will forgive me too ... Knowing that right now, there is nothing much I can do, I decide to actually take a shower and change from what I have been wearing since the pool party into comfortable jogging pants and tank top, what I would usually wear for sleep when I really am not bothered.
And right now I really cannot be bothered, I still go find Hot Stuff to let him know to not wait up because there is a fat chance that I may pull an nighter due to reviewing all of that lawyer's cases, Varik Monite, and then I go find that Power Couple, Makes sense, they have the Force, they are good looking and also they are just great with one another, But Lover Boy and Baby Girl are no where to be found, the workout room is empty, and I am assuming that the two of them have retreated to her bedroom for the night. Something tells me he might have comforted her but I really have no idea if Lover Boy is aware of that strain on Baby Girl, and perhaps he knows. If he does, then really he is a good guy for being that way earlier in the holocomm but also going after her. Smiling briefly, I finally walk back into the office to get back on what I have been doing previously, before that infamous holocomm.
Yeah ... This is going to be a long night, Hopefully though I get a return from a very pissed off Spanky because clearly, they have to see and understand that I really did not have a choice, even after what has happened four years ago ... Finally looking at my data terminal, I start reading all the information about that Varik Monite ...The document the paralegal sends is a veritable novel, including not only a complete listing of all of Varik Monite’s cases in chronological order, but also a synopsis and analysis of each and every case on the list. Monite’s earliest cases suggest he began his career as an ambulance chaser, consisting entirely of personal injury lawsuits that he consistently won time after time. After a year of such cases, Monite branched out into wrongful termination cases, which he also consistently won. Two years into his career, the Zelosian catapulted into the spotlight when took on and won a large, widely publicized case against a pharmaceutical company that resulted in huge settlements for the clients he represented, local fame and accolades for Monite, and a hefty payday that left him quite well off. Monite’s career took an odd turn one year after the case that earned him a name in legal circles, finding him suddenly defending criminals of all varieties from charges of all kinds, as well as beginning to practice business law. Monite’s case records overall, consisting of far more wins than losses, suggest that he is actually worth the increasingly high fees he charges.
The paralegal does not stop there, adding a biography of Monite that begins with the Zelosian’s birth on Zelos II and ends with a summary of his statements to the press today. Monite was the youngest of five children, lost both his parents shortly before he graduated from law school, and relocated to Umgul when his girlfriend, now his wife of ten years, accepted a teaching position at a university on the planet. Monite has two children, both girls, and his hobbies include swimming and holophotography. The paralegal ends his masterpiece with a detailed psychological profile of Monite that paints a portrait of the Zelosian as both a doting husband and father as well as a passionate, resilient, egotist motivated as much by winning his cases as he is by the financial gain and recognition to be gained by winning.

Lakehouse
As Crystal had anticipated, if she had not kissed him, Atlantis would have said something, just about anything to at least take some, if not all of the blame. While he perhaps would have stopped himself from kissing her back, there was just that determination from Crystal that made Atlantis admire his girlfriend even more.
Finally pulling his head back after sharing a tender kiss with her, he smiled and nodded, only because he was at a loss on what to say, and also because he knew that it might be preferable if he said nothing, except, “I love you.” Also knowing that this might not be the correct place to stay in, and also because Crystal was just emotionally exhausted, he stood up from where he was sitting and helped her up but he also picked her up from the ground to carry her towards her bedroom.
Maybe, only maybe, she could just relax there further and if it weren’t the case, she would decide whatever she wanted to do, just as long that she actually talked and also know that she wouldn’t be alone in all of this, even though Atlantis knew that the woman there — Stefanie Strange — was Crystal’s ex, and not just any kind of ex, but ex-fiancée.
That actually was just something that Atlantis couldn’t really come to terms with, but at the same time he was torn between what he felt, and what he saw.
What he had seen from Stefanie right there on the holocomm was hurt, a hurt shared by Crystal, that much he could feel and tell. Torn, he was also for the fact that he also wanted to say something to Crystal about this, or what he had seen, but he also knew that it would be an unwelcomed discussion, and quite honestly, this was a matter, that for at least right now, he wasn’t about to discuss with Crystal considering the entire emotional toll it took on her.
For now, he’d just hold his tongue and try and be there for Crystal whenever she would need him. Still he knew he had to say something, since from what he had gathered, they would be arriving at some point. “The one who spoke to me, earlier, on the holocomm, she seems like she really has it together and seems kind…” Atlantis commented, it was just small talk anyways, but something was more important than all of that, since they were going to represent Andros. “Anything in particular I should know about, since I did tell Lindsay that I would speak to Andros to warn him at least.”
Quite honestly, that was something that Atlantis wasn’t really overjoyed about in doing, for he knew that Andros would perhaps not like that outsiders would be coming to represent him, but at the same time, Atlantis also knew that his brother couldn’t close his eyes on the fact that Lily, and Crystal went ahead to contact the Payne, Mildhurt, and Strange law firm to…
P.M.S. Atlantis’ eyes briefly widened at the realization of the acronym of the law firm and looked at his girlfriend with an amused expression. “I think I get it, don’t piss them off, don’t make fun of them, and treat them with respect lest you want to be under P.M.S.’s wrath?” That pretty much summed it up for Atlantis…

Lakehouse - Crystal's room
Crystal let Atlantis carry her back to her room, not that she would even fight it, or even be reluctant about him picking her up. There was just something about her being in his arms that comforted her, she felt safe also being in his arms, and whenever he was around, she just knew that not a lot could happen. Currently she was sitting on her bed, leaning against the headboard and her legs bent at her knees while she looked at him in silence. Obviously, she knew that he was aware on who those women were on the holocom, Atlantis wasn't stupid, and she knew that he could read between the lines quickly and come to his own conclusions especially with the words that had been said during that infamous holocom, but also what he had told her when he came to find her in the training room.
She should have known that he would ask about the three women on the holocom, or at least the senior partners of that lawfirm, Crystal didn't know the fourth there, but still it would really stand to reason that they were all grooming her. Nicole Skylander from what Linds had said. And after that emotional toll that had taken place, Atlantis managed to make her laugh softly when not only he got the acronyms, something she remembered being done on purpose a while back. "Something like that, handsome..." Crystal chuckled at the thought, and she really could not help but to remember to fun times, those good moments back on Coruscant when they would all hang out together, it always was a good time, until that one evening.
Preferring not to dwell on that, at least right now, especially when Atlantis had set a light mood now, Crystal nodded faintly as she nibbled her lower lip in thought. "How much do you think Andros will be annoyed that Lily and I called for lawyers to represent him?" Crystal knew what type of man Andros could be, and often times he would despise it that things were done behind his back, when he didn't have any knowledge of, at all. But it had come to that, and really if he was going to look for someone to blame, he should blame her, and she would just equally let him know that perhaps he should trust on her judgment and Lily's. Though that was a matter that could be revisited whenever it sprung up when Andros found out.
"But you have asked about them, what I can already tell you is that, Kassidy? Or Kase, or even Spanky as Lily would call her, well just imagine her as a carbon copy of our in house lawyer." Crystal said with a knowing grin. They had all been saying that those two were twins in their previous life or something, but anyways, with that description, she was sure that again Atlantis would get it. "Lindsay is sweet, and kind. Not only that but often times she was the tie breaker, or would diffuse some situation whenever it was needed, at least between Kase and..." Crystal obviously had a hard time saying Stefanie's name, at least right here in a casual conversation with her boyfriend, but she knew that she had to get over that at some point, even if it still hurt thinking about Stefanie, especially on how she just walked away.
"... As for Stefanie," Crystal wrapped her arms around her legs and looked at Atlantis with a saddened expression. "A few years ago, I would have told you that Stefanie Strange always fought for justice, always made a point to win her cases, also wouldn't let any one step on her toes. Maybe she is still the same, but with what has happened, I just don't know any more, handsome. I cannot in clear conscience tell you any thing about Stefanie because I actually do not know her any more..." It had been four years, and even if Kassidy and Lindsay stood by her, Crystal couldn't fault them for that, but were they even aware of what had really happened that night? Crystal wasn't certain at all, for that was something she refused to get into with the others, and she had even told Lily to never do so, Crystal knew that she had been in contact from time to time with the two others.
Sighing at the thought, Crystal knew that she should let that go, for after all, Stefanie was her past and her present and future was right here with her. Reaching out to take his hand, Crystal looked at him with a faint smile. "What I can factually tell you about that lawfirm, it's a good one, a reason why Lily originally suggested earlier..."

Lakehouse - Office - HolocommThree or four hours after the initial holocomm from Lily and Crystal ended, Lily would be notified that someone was now trying to contact her. The frequency may, or may not, be a familiar one to the AG, but if she answers then she'll know, for sure, exactly who is on the other end of that holocomm....

Lakehouse — Crystal's room
Sitting crossed legs on Crystal’s bed, Atlantis kept his undivided attention onto his girlfriend. Whether or not his statement there about the law firm’s acronym diffused some tension there for Crystal, he knew that sooner or later, the mood might degrade, he still had to ask about the women on the holocom, just so he could warn Andros, like he had said he would do. It was unmistakable that he did smile when Crystal confirmed more or less that he had it right about the lawyers, from wherever they were from, and he had been comforted that it also made Crystal chuckle.
Speaking of Andros… Atlantis was certain that his brother might be annoyed that outsiders had been asked to represent him but at the same time, Atlantis knew that his brother couldn’t entirely fault Lily or Crystal. “Andros will be annoyed, but you already know that,” Atlantis replied truthfully. “But at the same time, he knows that he will need public representation, even if Serrin, or even us, the Mist Order, are trying to exonerate him with the help of the Sector Rangers.”
Sighing softly, hopefully though, Andros wouldn’t blow a fuse at all, but Atlantis was pretty sure that if he laid out facts to his brother, about what the lawyers’ presence here entailed to Crystal and/ or even Lily, his brother might see the whole situation on a different light? Atlantis couldn’t tell really, for Andros was still Andros and he had his own personality. Preferring to put that matter aside concerning Andros, Atlantis would revisit that matter later whenever he got a hold of the Vice-Governor, right now he was more interested to what Crystal was telling him.
Kassidy Payne’s description made him stifle a laughter, the whole carbon copy of Ljiljana Jankovic, which certainly was a recipe for laughter, or disaster, maybe? Already Atlantis knew that he might get along with her, he already got along with Lily, even if sometimes her ‘inquisition’ as a lot of them called it just made him shudder. It certainly might turn out to be a blast for a lot having Lily and Kase together maybe during some of their breaks. As for Lindsay, the tie breaker? It didn’t really surprise him. Every group of friends needed a tie breaker, even at work, so that made sense…
Atlantis’ smile faltered when it got around to Crystal describing Stefanie. “I apologize for bringing her up, angel, that’s the last thing I want to do, rattle your past there…” Atlantis meant it, but at the same time he had wanted to say something more, he truly wanted to point out something that he had noticed earlier on the holocom but he knew that it was going to be an unwelcomed subject to broach right here and right now.
Looking down at her hand, Atlantis turned his to lace their fingers together and he looked at her with, returning her faint smile with one of his own before even inclining his head. “I believe you, and trust you. After all, you and Lily are known to always do things for a reason too, so I am not even going to doubt about how good that law firm is.”
Knowing that if he got back to the previous matter they had discussed back in the training room would only be redundant, Atlantis moved and situated himself by her side before wrapping an arm around her shoulders and kissing her temple. “You must be exhausted, you should consider some sleep, or are you waiting for Elika to come home first before even considering some sleep?” Atlantis asked teasingly with a knowing smile. He already knew how her friends called her, but that was just Crystal Kayne, she cared about the ones she was close to, and even if it was in a motherly way or sisterly way, Atlantis truthfully found that adorable and admirable for she always put the others first before her own emotions…

Lakehouse - Office
I really have no idea how long I have been here in the office, the only indication I have is the fact that I have gone through three durasheet, back and forth, for I have been scribbling with my stylus, just taking notes on Montite's background and his line strategy. Putting the stylus down and rubbing the bridge of my nose while blinking a few times ... I have been staring for too long at my dataterminal, I need more coffee. Staring at my empty cup, I have already gone through at least three of those, I am about to stand up to get a refill but my comlink signals me that I have an incoming com. Not really thinking twice, and perhaps I am hoping that it is actually Kassidy, and her having a come back, I finally hit the button there, and since it's still linked to the holocomm device, it automatically connects ...
"Kass- ... Cutting short and noticing who the person has made the comm, I sit back down on my seat before saying curtly, Stefanie. She really looks like crap and I do not even hesitate to let her know. You look like shit."
And why is she alone? I keep looking at her wondering now what has happened on her side, although something tells me that she might have had a serious talk with Spanky and Sweet Cheeks, not that it's of any importance to me, because in the end, I know what she has done, and how she has done it, Stefanie should know by now that I am not one to throw a pity party for a person. "Where are Kase and Linds? I ask her dubiously arching my eyebrow, and obviously I am sure that she will notice that I have changed my clothes from earlier, not that it's relevant, but whatever. So, what's it going to be, are you three taking the case, or not, because of the fact you know that she is here?"
She knows I mean Crystal, who else, everything about this case, is of course about Andros and the supposedly crimes, murders he has committed which is completely ridiculous, but ... Now everyone know who are the people involved in all of this drek, and I honestly am hoping that they have agreed to take the case, and that Bolter has gotten over her issues with what she had with Crystal back then ... For now, just right now, I am still staring at her silently waiting for what she has to say, though my eyes slightly move to check the office door, it's slightly ajar but right now, I really can't be bothered to move especially when I am waiting for the law firm's decision.

Lakehouse - Living Room
Even if Lily had told him to not wait up, actually he wouldn't be bothered by the whole ordeal. He was used to barely sleeping anyways, and that had never changed at all. Currently he was more engrossed with a book, although it seemed that way, but actually not quite. For a moment he had wanted to speak with his sister about what she had gone through, but his presence might not do a thing, at all, besides she already had Atlantis, no?
So why would he add himself there, in comforting his sister, when emotions wise, Atlantis would actually fare better in that task?
Then there was Ares, Ryan was still thinking about what his brother wanted to talk about, and why for a long time Ares couldn't be joined by comm or anything of the sort. Clearly a lot was going on, and he also knew that with everything Crystal might have been going through, not that he knew all of the details, he only knew that it has something to do with the lawyers from Honoghr, perhaps that talk with Ares would be postponed?
By the Force, I hope not... A fleeting talk, a statement that he did partially meant, but also at the same time out of respect for his sister, and what she was going through; piling another thing might not be the most convenient thing to do.
Ryan would let tomorrow decide, for now, he'd just keep on reading his medical book and keep on learning, to at least keep a sharp mind, and be up to date with the current procedures, that is if he ever actually wanted to go work at the Furgan Medical Center...

Lakehouse - Crystal's room
Crystal stayed silent for a moment to think about the whole situation concerning Andros mainly. While she was aware that Atlantis would gladly break the news to his brother on her behalf, she actually didn't want him to do that, which was why she did not hesitate to let him know after Atlantis had situated himself next to her. "Let me and, or, Lily break the news to him, to Andros, I mean." Crystal told him as she laid down next to him comfortably, even placing her head on his shoulder. "That is if the law firm accepts to take this case." Crystal looked up at her boyfriend with a faint contrite smile. As she had felt, and thought earlier, Atlantis wasn't supposed to meet one of Crystal's exes that way, at least not the one she had a deep rooted story. Sighing softly, she really didn't want to find out how Atlantis was currently feeling right now, but at the same time she already knew, with the conversation they had earlier in the workout room, but that did not give her any indications on how he actually felt.
"Atlantis..." Sitting up and turning her body in his direction with a faint frown. "How can you be so strong and even look like it doesn't bother you to meet her face to face perhaps if they decide to come?" Perhaps it wasn't something she had to ask but at the same time, she really wanted to know how he felt about all of that. Atlantis was more worried about her, about her feelings, when certainly he might be feeling something else but just understanding and empathy there. "I..." Sighing softly and running her hand through her hair, Crystal lifted her hand soon after and looked at her boyfriend apologetically this time. "You don't have to answer that, handsome." She finally told him before laying back down on her bed and by his side.
A big part of her regretted asking him that question, it sounded like she didn't even know him when she actually did. Crystal knew that Atlantis was understanding, selfless and would just gladly think about others he cared about first and foremost. Was that even selfish of her to not ask how he truly felt? She didn't know and quite clearly, the holocomm had drained her, seeing Stefanie after four years had really messed her up and made her lose her footing. The tattoo, and everything else about Stefanie right there in the holocomm just brought her pain, for she really still could not understand what had caused her to leave that way, to not even explain anything.
Coming back in the now, and at least with her focused self, re-centered self, Crystal finally looked at Atlantis with a faint smile and nodded slightly. "I know that I should consider some sleep, but yes for one I'd like to wait for Elika to come back and two, I don't really think that I would be able to sleep right away, anyways..." She finally told him sincerely, she still had so many thoughts in her mind and she was certain that it would be a sleepless night for her, and she would just be restless...

Lakehouse — Crystal's room
Atlantis inclined his head when Crystal told him that she would break down the news to Andros. If it had been someone else, anyone else, Atlantis would have suggested to be there and ease the news on his brother about getting more external help, but he knew Crystal and trusted her in dealing with that; her and Lily. Andros respected both women, Atlantis knew as much, and he would probably appreciate the fact that whomever had made that comm actually informed him. “From what I saw, and heard, I don’t think they will deny on taking this case…” Atlantis said softly, though he still had in mind Stefanie’s expression when Crystal had told her off. Plus both Kassidy and Lindsay seemed interested in getting some facts sorted out then and there, and he didn’t think that they would have even bothered asking questions if they weren’t inclined to represent Andros.
Snapping out of his current thoughts when Crystal rhetorically asked him a question, he looked at her with a slight frown and tilted his head slightly on the side still looking at her dubiously. “No, wait…” Sitting up on her bed and taking her hand, he looked at her with a warm expression, and a sincere one. “You have asked, therefore it is something you want to know.” Crystal might not have known it, or she might have, but either way, Atlantis had an unspoken promise to her, which was to always tell her the truth. Of course there were certain things he couldn’t quite share with her, but this matter wasn’t one of those things. “If you are asking me if seeing her affects me, or makes me question my feelings to you or vice-versa? I will tell you no, it doesn’t.” Atlantis sincerely told her. It was a fact, he didn’t question what they were feeling for one another. Truth be told, he was just wondering on how she would be holding up, especially if Crystal knew that perhaps there was something more to that story on why Stefanie walked out on her… “Right now, I am more concerned about you, and how you have felt when you saw her there after so long, and while I very well understand the emotions you are feeling and why you spoke to her that way, I am not about to question the relationship you and Stefanie Strange had, or even how she or you might still feel for one another, because I do know how you feel,” Anger, frustration, and sadness, those were the emotions that he had perceived from Crystal prior that comm and during that comm. “All I know though, is that perhaps you can find out what really happened four years ago, you have told me that note of hers was just out of character from her, so perhaps this is your chance to get some closure?” Atlantis suggested softly, as he continued to look at her with a faint frown. He knew deep down that Crystal was the kind of woman that always wanted some answers, so maybe this could be it.
All he knew also was that Crystal wasn’t the only one hurting, he saw it crystal clear on Stefanie Strange’s face that she too was hurting, but that was just perhaps him over-analyzing too much. He guessed he would have to see for himself that is if they ever came here.
Nodding briefly and understanding perfectly that Crystal wouldn’t be able to sleep, Atlantis gave her hand a gentle squeeze and smiled affectionately. “Okay, although currently, if you’d prefer to be alone right now, I can step out?” He sincerely said, for maybe Crystal did prefer to have some time for herself without him around, but either way, “Or if you don’t mind the company, I’ll stay, and we can talk some more, about anything at all…”
