Lakehouse - Crystal's room
"Perhaps..." Crystal ended up saying noncommittally to what Atlantis had said about perhaps having a chance to speak with Stefanie Strange about what had happened four years ago. Crystal might find closure indeed if she faced Stefanie, but at the same time, Crystal wasn't really willing to dredge up the past that way, even though yes, it would be nice to finally get that closure. The powers that be she tried so hard to find it, she had even tried to contact Stefanie back then, but not once she ever received a comm from the lawyer... "I really don't want to think about that, not when I have just found my other brother, and also not when I still have to hear what he has to say to Ryan and I..."
For Crystal, currently, what she and Stefanie shared in the past had no importance in the now, she was more concerned about Ares...
"I'll just cross that bridge when I get there when it comes to her," Crystal finally told her boyfriend with a certain finality, she really was starting to be a little annoyed with that matter, for right now, she was just going to keep beating around the bush and honestly, she didn't want that right now, and the Force knew that Atlantis was trying to see the good side of things, and again that just reminded her on how great of a person he was, and she really didn't want to jeopardize what she had with him because of what she and Stefanie had back then. Atlantis reassurances did make her rest easy on that point, but she also knew that tomorrow was uncertain.
Looking at him, he was so accommodating and also understanding, and quite honestly? She would be more uneasy if he weren't around, and like Lily had said, Atlantis not being here, or just around, was just unnatural, it's true, Crystal was used to him being here most of the time, and yes in a way it was as if they lived together. "You do know that I do not mind your company, handsome," She said with a faint chuckle before punching his shoulder gently just to let him know, or emphasize how his statement was ridiculous.
Talking with him definitely appeased her, and relaxed her. They just ended up talking about nothing in particular actually, but it was just them talking and her enjoying that peaceful moment with him. She did love his humor too, and unable to help herself, she had slowly drifted into sleep in his arms, this whole day just had drained her entirely...

Lakehouse - Office - Holocomm
Stefane had looked up when she heard Lily's voice, taking mental note of the curtness in it when she spoke Stefanie's name. Tightening her lips, Stefanie briefly turned her gaze downward seemingly looking at something on the surface of the desk. Taking a deep breath, and letting it out again, she flexed the fingers of her right hand a couple of times which caused an apparent look of pain to flash across her face with the clenching and un-clenching of her jaw before the look was gone again. Looking back to the holocamera, she met Lily's gaze.
:: Thank you for that assessment, Lily. I am well aware of how I look at the moment, but since this case is obviously a matter of great importance to you and...Crystal... and now us also, I didn't really think or care about looks. :: Pausing a moment, and never taking her eyes off of Lily, she picked up the caf mug and took a drink before setting it back on the desk and continuing. :: Kase and Linds went to wrap up their current cases as we've all decided that we will take on the Vyridian case. The fact that Crystal is there.... ::
She glanced down again, flexing her fingers a few more times as she did so, and winced ever so slightly. Sitting back in the chair, and resting her right hand on the armrest, she noted that Lily seemed momentarily distracted. When the AG looked back to the holocamera, Stefanie leaned forward studying Lily for a few seconds before speaking again in a low somewhat exhausted tone.
:: Right. Okay, look Lily...I know I'm the last person you want to be talking to right now, but the truth is...I need to speak to you and Crystal both - about things that have happened and things that could still possibly happen. Things that are too important to get into over a holocomm. I've already talked to Kassidy and Lindsay about it, but now...I just...I need to talk to both of you when we get there. ::
Stefanie, unflinchingly, held Lily's gaze while she waited for the AG's response.

Lakehouse - Office
Still looking dead on at Bolter after my brief glance over the office's door, I do see that Stefanie is clearly looking downwards and also she seems to be in pain, not that I am showing any ounce of emotion because quite clearly, I am not here to show pity nor am I here to actually give her that tongue lash she so deserves for leaving Baby Girl that way ... A stupid damn note, not being able to handle that supposedly intensity after they have spent seven years together, sheesh Strange, you are better than that ... Or so I thought you were. "Is that so ... Commenting on Kase's and Linds' whereabouts, them wrapping their current cases because the law firm has decided to take this case, Well thank the powers that be ... As for Crystal being here ..."
Closing my mouth and looking at Stefanie with a narrowed gaze, as if to warn her to not even think about approaching the CFO, but something tells me that Bolter isn't done with her statement, so I just keep looking at her in silence, awaiting on what else she has to say. Stefanie does seem exhausted and something must have happened, which reminds me ... Were they even aware? Gritting my teeth faintly and shaking my head soon after leaning against my seat as I listen attentively to what Stefanie is telling me, I am really starting to despise this whole thing, in a way ...
"You need to talk to the both of us? I ask her rhetorically before taking a deep breath and I really do feel angry currently. Where the hell were you when she wanted to speak with you, Strange?! Where the hell were you when she has been trying to com you after she woke up and found not only that stupid note of yours and the ring? My voice might have gone a tone higher than I would usually employ, but this matter is/ was also something dear to me. After four goddamn years you are ready to talk, and you are ready to tell her exactly why you left in the first place? A long time ago, I used to call you Bodacious, and I am usually rarely wrong about a person, but today, and tonight, it took you a damn comm of mine, asking for your help to make you decide you needed to speak with Crystal? Because this is what it's all about isn't it? You, asking me, my permission to have a talk with her after what you did?!"
Running my hand through my hair and taking a deep breath before shaking my head and looking at Stefanie with a meaningful expression. "Crystal is a big girl, and many things have happened in those four years, and one thing is for sure, Crystal Kayne never needed to take my suggestion into consideration and she certainly doesn't need me to convince her otherwise, but if there is one thing that I will refuse, Bolter, it's to play the matchmaker between you two, again, to get her to talk to you. You are on your own, Strange, are we clear?" Looking at her with a very neutral expression, I still let her know through my gaze that if she does mess up, she'll have a lot to answer for.
"Either way, just get here already, Crystal's Lover Boy already said that he would take all necessary measures to get you to land here without too many red tapes."

Stefanie sat silently listening to Lily's apparent frustration directed towards her. While she knew, and accepted, that Lily had every right to her anger regarding the events of four years ago, she was also tired of her seemingly assuming Stefanie had just walked away without good reason. Rubbing her forehead with her left hand then dropping it to the desk in front of her, her eyes met Lily's through the holocomm connection as she began to speak in a calm tone. :: Let's get one thing straight, here and now, Ljiljana; I'm not asking for your permission...for anything. I can't change what happened four years ago, no matter how much I wish to the gods above that I could. ::She had addressed Lily's question about wanting permission first, for the simple fact that she had wanted to make it very clear that it wasn't the reason she wanted to talk to both of them. She glanced away from Lily for a few seconds, thinking about Lily's other most recent comments and questions. The questions, that she knew were rhetorical, and Lily's obvious anger when asking them, sent Stefanie's carefully cultivated calm and collection over the edge. With her emotions flaring, in the blink of an eye she had stood and slammed her right hand down on the desk. An odd cracking/popping sound could be heard as soon as her hand met the surface of the desk. Withdrawing her hand almost as soon as the cracking/popping sound echoed in the office, she couldn't hide the immediate pain as it flashed across her features. Turning slightly away from the holocamera, she braced her left hand on the back of the chair while she held her right hand close to her body seemingly trying to manage the pain still wracking her hand and arm. If one looked at the desk closely enough they would noticed the slightly rounded hand shaped, spider web looking crack(s) that she had put in the middle of the wooden desk this time.
After a couple of minutes she turned back to face Lily once more - the pain still apparent on her now pale face as she held the hand close to her midsection.:: There hasn't been a day that hasn't gone by that I didn't ask myself those very same questions, Lily. You think she was the only one hurting then? You really want to know why I left, why I did what I did, the way I did it? :: Stefanie asked, not expecting an answer, as she ran her left hand through her hair while unflinchingly holding Lily's gaze and gauging her demeanor as she continued on in a low husky tone. :: Fine, Lily. I wanted to wait until we were all face to face...but, you win. I'll tell you why I left. I left because I wasn't given any other choice at the time. I left to keep all of you safe. I left because threats were made that if I didn't end the relationship then it would be ended by other means out of my control. Those 'other means' were in the form of threats made against everyone I cared, and still care, about. Kassidy, Lindsay, Jaina, Alexandra, Andrea, Crystal...and yes, even you, Lily. ::Stefanie sighed as she leaned a hip against the desk. A half defeated, half relieved look in her eyes. Hastily wiping away a single tear that had fallen onto her cheek, she looked down at the floor briefly closing her eyes. Opening her eyes again, she straightened up and looked up to study Lily for a few seconds then began speaking once more. :: Jaina, Alex, and Andie don't know about this yet. I'm going to tell them, though I don't even know if Alex will stay in the same room with me long enough to listen. I don't think we've had a whole conversation since I left Coruscant.... ::Stefanie went silent again, though if Lily had the notion to question her further she knew she would answer as truthfully as she could. There would be no more hiding behind that invisible facade from now on, not from the ones who mattered the most to her anyway.

Impassively looking at Stefanie, there is clearly not a trace of emotion still on my features, not that it would matter anyways, and I clearly am not looking forward to convincing Baby Girl to speak with Bolter, because fact remains, Stefanie has bolted in the middle of the night, leaving a woman crying all the tears of her body the following day, following weeks, and months. Glad that some things have not changed about Stefanie ... But that, Stefanie's reaction and action, it has clearly changed, never once have I seen her slamming her hand on the table, not that I am even taken aback by her action right then and there, since I am still looking at her neutrally.
What the hell happened to you, Strange ... I cannot help but to think to myself as I keep staring at her, and then the ball finally drops, she is actually telling me something. My eyes slightly widens at that revelation, and clearly that just pisses me off, I am sure that it can be seen by now on my expression. I am pissed and very much on edge. Rubbing my temple soon enough and closing my eyes and leaning against my left hand as my elbow is propped against my desk, there are so many things that I want to say here. Like she has said though, there is nothing that can be changed, it has happened four years ago, but goddammit why the hell did you wait four frakking years before saying all of those drek!
"Stefanie ... Sitting up and leaning back against my seat and just looking at her with a meaningful expression, though throughout my gaze, I do let her know that I want to add more, but for the sake of it all, I'd rather not get into that right now. Why now, why tell me all of those things now and not before, like two years ago, or even before? Putting my hand up and shaking my head after letting out an audible sigh, I briefly close my eyes before staring back at her. Get your hand fixed, Stefanie, and do what you have to do there first and foremost, before making your way here ... Taking a deep breath and looking back at Stefanie with a somewhat appreciative, and warmer gaze but also smile, I finally shake my head once more before adding on. You really do look like shit, Bodacious, now please can I have my old friend back without the whole slamming the desk part? All I want is your bitchy part, I didn't ask for that violent side of you there."
I do know there are many more things that we should talk about, but this is in fact, a conversation to be had when we are face to face, and it has no room for a holocomm. Although I cannot make any promises about Baby Girl. "Though, Stef, I meant it earlier, if you want to speak with Crystal, you are on your own ... She has never even wanted to speak about you with me, though she made me promise to never bring you up to Kase or Linds, That is one thing, mainly a big reason why this is how I have been reacting, and also perhaps the reason why also that Kase and I are still getting along up to this very day, something that Stefanie must have figured out by now. Send me a holonet message when you guys are leaving, for I assume you are bringing your Newbie too?"
Looking at Stef dubiously, particularly for that last part, there clearly is nothing left to say here and now, or at least not via holocomm, but I do know that Baby Girl should speak to Bol- ... Bodacious, back to Bodacious. Clearly not that far off about that, but still it doesn't change the fact that she has chosen the coward's way, but under duress, that can be forgiven, if not partially. But something tells me that Crystal must already feel that she has made enough concession in accepting to call for P.M.S.'s services.

Lakehouse
Crystal woke up a few hours after having fallen asleep in Atlantis' arms. Sitting up and looking at his peaceful sleeping figure, she could not help but to smile at that image, and she just kissed his forehead softly before getting up from her bed, with in mind to grab some water from the kitchen. On her way there though, she noticed that the office's door was ajar, and she could hear her childhood friend's voice but also Stefanie's... Frowning at what she was hearing right there, Crystal did not say anything, and actually kept quiet and just leaned against the wall next to the office door to listen to what was being said by both Lily first, and then Stefanie.
Frowning at what Stefanie had revealed, partially revealing the reasons why she had walked away, Crystal closed her eyes to try and control her emotions currently, and now because threats were made, because Stefanie wasn't given a choice, she did what she had to do and what felt to be the right decision four years ago... Taking a deep breath, Crystal pushed away from the wall and tried to figure out what to do. Of course, Crystal still felt that hurt, of course she couldn't close her eyes on how Stefanie had left, that note and that ring and those words that had pierced her heart back then. It was supposed to be her and Stefanie together, until death do them part but now... Now Crystal was with someone else, whom she loved unconditionally, whom she knew wouldn't leave her the way Stefanie did...
But...
Showing herself at the office's threshold, Crystal looked at her childhood friend for the longest time in silence before finally walking towards Lily facing Stefanie with still a hurt expression. "I have heard enough." Crystal said softly, as she looked from Lily and then Stefanie. "Answer me this, Stefanie, was it my stepfather who threatened you?" She asked straight to the point. For a long time, her relationship with her stepfather wasn't a great one at all, from being a controlling bastard in all aspects of her life, to him repeating many times that Crystal deserved much more, deserved to be with someone else. Just plainly saying that he wasn't approving of her relationship with Stefanie, so Crystal wouldn't even be surprised if those threats came from that Arkanian... Expletive words to describe him, she just straight up despised him. "What did he tell you? Or you know what, just get here, and please explain everything to me." She said with gritting teeth.

Enroute to the Lakehouse"Hmmm, nice? Not so much, I have been getting requests for interviews, and I figured that I would at least reply to some of those reporters...And I have made a trip towards the Intelligence Department, I need to get a hold of Raan, and I figured that perhaps the Kiffars would all be there, but it was only the Deputy Director. But enough about my boring and despicable moment at the office, and also please, on my account, don't hide how you truly feel currently, besides? I could do with some happiness right now. Ready to head home? I cannot be sure, but I think you might be needed back there..." Elikapeka goes through a host of emotions and has a dizzying plethora of thoughts racing through her head while listening to all that Andros says as they begin the trip from the city to the Lakehouse, but does not interrupt her friend, and instead confines her responses to nonverbal ones indicating that she is following along or which at times hint at how something he has shared makes her feel. Frowning to express her concern for him, and her sympathy, when Andros shares that his evening was not much fun as it involved receiving requests from the press for interviews, which Elika knows he would find uncomfortable even without the added stress of the accusations that have been made against him. As much as she loves her friend, Elika cannot help but mentally shudder at the thought of how his usual demeanor and comportment will more than likely not be twisted by the less scrupulous members of the press in an effort to sensationalize the whole tawdry mess that has developed in light of the plot to frame Andros, and nearly suggests that he avoid interviews before reminding herself that she is not a public relations expert who could really guess whether it would be better to just let Andros scowl and spit his affirmations of innocence away rather than stay silent and let that silence be interpreted however the press might feel like interpreting it.
Smiling while blushing revealingly when Andros tells her not to hide her feelings, Elika decides to refrain from gushing away like a schoolgirl anyway since it feels wrong to her that she is so giddy while her friend is under so much stress, and so does her best to police her smitten expression while waving a hand to dismiss the implicit invitation to babble away as she might otherwise be inclined to do.
When Andros follows up his question about whether she is ready to head home, earning him a nod of affirmation from her, by cryptically suggesting that she might be needed back at the Lakehouse, Elika's concern is evident as she asks worriedly, "Has something happened? Is everyone alright?"

That brief little contact on his forehead was enough to stir him slightly, even the shift on the bed made him slightly open him eyes, albeit groggily, and the only thing he saw was the departing figure of his girlfriend. For a moment, Atlantis thought of just getting back to sleep, thinking, well… He wasn’t thinking anything at all until…
That familiar sensation struck him again.
Crystal… Atlantis thought and willed himself to wake up completely, rubbing his face briefly, he decided to head to the fresher to splash some water on his face, so that at least it would wake him up a little more. Looking at himself on the mirror there, Atlantis sighed softly and just dried up his face before grabbing a shirt putting that on as he walked out of Crystal’s room.
He heard voices in the office, particularly Crystal’s voice asking about who made the threat. Atlantis’ eyes slightly widened upon realizing that it was Crystal’s stepfather… Preferring not to interrupt that ongoing conversation, Atlantis continued to make his way towards the front door to get some air, which was just conveniently a few feet away from where he was, and he just ended up sitting on the porch there.
If there was one thing Atlantis knew about Crystal’s stepfather, it wasn’t actually a whole lot, as that was a topic they really haven’t discussed. Atlantis only knew the bases of things, Crystal didn’t like her stepfather because he was controlling, and just a megalomaniac, not her words for the latter, his, but also she never got along with him, at all. It was no surprise now on why Crystal always preferred talking about her biological father instead of her stepfather, whom the latter had been more present in Crystal’s life than Virgil.
Now to think that there had been threats? Threats about what? Atlantis didn’t know, all he heard was Crystal’s questions… Sighing briefly, Atlantis looked up the sky for a moment and felt that his brother was actually nearby, with Elika.
Well, that should be interesting. Considering that Crystal preferred to break the news to Andros with Lily, and from the sound of it, the senior partners of that law firm were going to make their way here. Atlantis finally stood up and headed back inside to get the remote of the gate to open it for Andros as he could hear that familiar sound of an airspeeder.
Looking at both of its occupants, Atlantis smiled slightly to his brother but also Elika before inclining his head briefly. “You two must be exhausted.” Atlantis said, they did not get some shut eye, whereas he did, but it was a restless one. Walking towards the airspeeder and opening Elika’s side, he looked at her momentarily, he did briefly feel from her that she had been worried about something. Atlantis had no idea why, or how that came about but perhaps it was something that Andros had said, so this was going to be a jab in the dark. “Crystal and Lily are both inside, and currently on a holocomm with someone from their past.” Atlantis said softly, of course he had omitted a lot of things, and Elika would know that by now that he wouldn’t say anything at all without being prompted at least…
If people, though, wanted to take a glimpse into the Alderaani women’s past that would certainly be a high probability with the lawyers making their way here soon… One of them might be the toughest encounter for Crystal after four years, at least face to face, on an identical location…
And that was, for Atlantis, just downright nerve-wracking…

Lakehouse - Office - Holocomm
Out of the corner of her eye, Samaels arrival into her office, right after she'd smacked her hand down on the desk, didn't go unnoticed to her - though she was actually a bit relieved that he had chosen to stand quietly by the closed door just out of range of the holocam. Brushing that reality aside for now, she listened to Lily speak. Even though Lily indicated that she didn't need a response to her inquiry, Stefanie sighed inwardly feeling compelled to give one just the same.
:: I was afraid of what could have happened, what could still happen if.... ::
She was temporarily silenced by the sight of Crystal entering the view of the holocam saying she had heard enough and looking first at Lily then at her, the still hurt expression apparent in Crystals eyes as they settled on her. Lowering her head, Stefanie closed her eyes and was seemingly contemplating the questions Crystal had just posed. She took a deep breath and let it out again as she raised her head and met Crystals gaze with her own.
Before she could say anything, Samael had stepped forward into the view of the holocam and walked toward her. He had apparently been drawing on the Force before stepping behind her and laying his right hand over her own injured hand. There was a stunned flash of emotion that quickly played across her features, then was gone, as he begun utilizing the Force to heal her hand. When he appeared to be done with his task, she briefly glanced back at him with an arched eyebrow, before looking away and meeting Crystals gaze again then answering the question Crystal had asked of her.
:: Yes.... ::
She held Crystals gaze for a moment before looking to Lily as she slowly flexed the fingers of her right hand. Giving Lily a slight smile, she spoke to the AG once more.
:: Don't worry, Lily, I will bring all the parts I need....including the bitchy part. We all will - and yes, we'll be bringing the Newbie with us. We'll be in there in a couple of days, or so. We'll talk some more about this then. ::
She gave a wave of a hand, knowing that Lily and Crystal would have a lot of questions when she, Kassidy, Lindsay, and Nikky arrived. Questions of which she would provide answers for, needed to provide answers for. Hopefully some of those answers would jar Crystal's memories of that night. Even if it was just a vague memory, it would be a start.

I am not really expecting a reply from Stefanie, but she gives it to me either way, the reasons why she has never said anything before up till now ... Yet she has taken that leap of fate, right now, perhaps she knows that we are also surrounded by Jedi since she saw Lover Boy earlier ... "Come what may, Stef, and you and I both know that we also aren't in the safest business there is ..." Before I can go on though, my eyes go up as I notice Baby Girl entering the office, How long has she been standing there? And has she heard my conversation with Bodacious? The reply to my questions comes quickly, as expected. Baby Girl has heard everything, for she has asked that unspoken question of mine about who has made that threat ... Frowning at the thought as I have known Derak Arthos to be an in-commensurable controlling and judgmental freak, I cannot help but to purse my lips in silence, letting Baby Girl asking her questions ...
Okay ... Who is that? A figure of a man appears, one that I have never seen before and there is something in Stefanie's expression that makes me wonder about something. Something is definitely going on with those two ... But I am not really lingering on that, as really we are not here to discuss relationship, and who is dating who, whatever, right now I am just looking back at Stefanie with an attentive expression. "Yes, we'll talk more of this when you get here with everyone ... Briefly glancing at the unknown man to me with an appreciative smile, I incline my head gratefully before turning to look back at Bodacious. Considering that you are waving your hand now, I am taking that it has been fixed?"
Smiling knowingly before turning to look at Baby Girl with a knowing expression, I prefer letting her say her piece first and letting her kill the comm before making a move towards it. "Just be safe when coming here, yes, I have no idea where you guys are currently ..."

Crystal was patiently waiting for Stefanie to say something, anything really. At least a confirmation of who made those threats. Still though at the mention of her stepfather, Crystal wasn't really overjoyed about that fact. She never got along with Derak and she despised everything he stood for. The things he had done back then, and could potentially be doing now in New Alderaan, it wasn't something she wanted to really think about, let alone dwell on. Hence why she preferred to not be in the public's eyes so to speak. Her thoughts halted the moment she noticed a man on Stefanie's end. It got her to look at him momentarily, though neutrally before looking back at Stef when she finally gave that confirmation.
Whatever look Stefanie had on there, whether it was brief or not, it was none of Crystal's concerns. The CFO had moved on but at the same time, there was just something about this whole case that unsettled her entirely. Though she still kept a neutral expression on her features and let Lily do the talking, thankfully the AG here was talking for Crystal really had no idea on what to say so she ended up on just looking away from the holocam.
"Yes, we will definitely be talking more about all of this." Crystal said through gritting teeth as she looked back at the cam. "And there are other things I also want to talk about with you, and alone, Stefanie." Crystal told her point blank before looking at her childhood friend briefly and taking a deep breath. "Just look after her, for now." She told the man who had apparently healed Stefanie's hand and then she looked back at her ex, and inclined her head. Sure there was still hurt, and anger in Crystal's expression but at least for now, or at least she hoped they had an understanding. "Until you get here with the others, Stefanie, in the meantime safe trip." Reaching over to shut down the communication, Stefanie and the man faded away and she looked at Lily with a certain apprehension.
"If I ever see him again, I will punch him..." Crystal told Lily with disdain, and in her mind actually she had wanted to do more than punch that arrogant, and manipulative man. "I need to check in with my mom and see what the hell he is up to now." Pushing away from the desk, and leaving the office, Crystal turned her head and noticed that the front door was open, Atlantis was standing outside...

Lakehouse
Having known Andros as long as she has, Elikapeka is not surprised at all when he answers her questions about whether something has happened or if everyone is alright by telling her that it isn't his place to answer the question since doing so would involve telling her of events that primarily involve others than himself; and it is the fact that she is well aware of the policy Andros is, among the friends she has made since relocating to Umgul, far from alone in firmly adhering to that prevents Elika from being annoyed with him for being so cryptic after announcing that she might be needed at the house she shares with Lily and Crystal. Mildly reassured that, had something truly disastrous happened at the Lakehouse, Andros would not be quite so calm about getting back to it, Elika tries to keep her worry from building any further; though, ultimately, she is only partially successful in doing so, and spends the remainder of the trip staring out of the passenger side window in a pensive silence she knows that Andros, fortunately, will more likely than not welcome.
Smiling a bit distractedly when Atlantis opens her door for her, Elika arches an eyebrow in confusion when, after his initial greeting to her and Andros, he mentions that Crystal and Lily are on a holocomm with someone from their past; her confusion stemming mostly from the fact that Atlantis has revealed anything at all about what had happened, or is still happening, to have promoted his twin to suggest that she might be needed. Joking mostly to try and keep her own concern for her friends from building, Elika steps out of the speeder and quips, "Careful there, I think you just came perilously close to almost giving a vague idea of what your brother over there oh so cryptically hinted was happening here. Patting Atlantis' shoulder as she waits for Andros to join them for the short trip from the airspeeder to the front door, Elika manages a smile as she adds in the same tone which is probably not as successful in sounding amused rather than worried as she intends it to, Don't worry though, I won't tell anyone."
After Andros has powered the airspeeder down and stepped from inside of it, Elika walks between the twins as they all head inside, tugging at her sleeves as she tells herself that Lily and Crystal are almost certainly capable of handling whatever it is that has happened or is happening together, especially in light of the fact Atlantis has revealed that whatever that might be is something which sounds as though it involves their past; Andros's enigmatic suggestion that she might be needed aside, Elika's usual self-doubt makes her feel more than a little uncertain about the prospect of her being at all helpful, but she resolves to try and not let her self-doubt prevent her from being there for her friends all the same.
Mostly to say something to fill the silence, Elika tries to sound cheerful as, when they near the front door, she announces apropos of nothing, "I think I'll make some tea. Tea would be nice right about now, don't you think?"

Atlantis chuckled at what Elika had told him, that definitely was a vague idea from him, but then again he was very certain that her housemates would be filling her in about the happenings since Elika had left with Lana. Though, it made Atlantis wonder what Andros might have told her, which was why he looked at his identical twin with a dubious expression. Atlantis knew that he and Andros shared an affinity, being identical twins and all, so Andros might have said really something vague…
Atlantis had no idea; he supposed he would find out one way or the other. But Andros being here perhaps that would be an occasion for Crystal and, or Lily to speak with Andros about his future representation. Thinking of representation, Atlantis kept in mind to contact ATC, but also the Intelligence Department about issuing some clearances to the lawyers for they would be arriving very soon. A matter for tomorrow.
Right now he was more focused on the conversation at hand and what Elika had previously told him. “Nothing really bad per se, Elika… But depending on whose point of view you are broaching that particular matter, it’s an emotional rollercoaster, one that I am sure Crystal and Lily will tell you about.” Still Atlantis had no idea on how to feel with the recent developments, with what he had overheard back there when he passed through the office. He knew that Stefanie Strange had a reason for doing what she did, no matter how badly it was done, and who was hurt in the process, mainly in this case, Crystal, but now, everything seemed to have changed, now that he had the reasons.
It was problematic, and that was an understatement.
Walking toward the Lakehouse, Atlantis saw before him right there, Crystal whom was at the office’s threshold and looking at them. Perhaps Lily would be following soon, but then again with Crystal there, it told him that they were done with the holocomm. Turning to look briefly at his brother, Atlantis told him softly, “Stick around for a little while if you can, Andros. They might want to speak with you too…” Finally walking inside, Atlantis closed the door behind him and looked at Elika when she suggested that perhaps some tea would be nice right about now.
“I’ll have some hot cocoa, but don’t worry about it, I will take care of that, for the tea, ask your roomies?” Atlantis suggested as he made a straight line towards the kitchen but also stopped on his way there to approach Crystal. Looking at her with an understanding look but also a faint frown, he placed his hand on her arm and leaned over to kiss her forehead. “Are you going to be okay…?” Yes, he knew that out of the questions he could have asked, that was the stupidest one of all, but he truly had no idea on what to say to make her feel better right here, and right now.

Lakehouse - Office
With the holocomm cut, I can now think about everything more seriously, especially what has happened four years ago between Baby Girl and Bodacious ... Still though, it doesn't change the fact that she had preferred to bolt, and leave that sorry ass of an excuse to Crystal. I still cannot believe that arrogant bastard would stoop in so low, Actually no, I can believe it in fact, what a piece of ... My thoughts halt there when I finally hear Baby Girl speaking to me, and her tone is a tone that I actually share wholeheartedly. But there is a major difference between her and I now, "Are you sure you want to do that? I ask her dubiously and I am legit concerned about that comm Baby Girl wishes to make to her mom, especially on finding out what Derak has been up to. As much as I love your mom, you and I both know how that conversation is going to end up, Crystal."
While I do know that when Crystal has set her mind into doing something, she will do it, but I actually want her to think about all of this, just wait to hear more on what Strange has to say once she arrives here. Sighing softly and rubbing my hand on my face, I really am not looking forward to the entire reveal, and yes in a way I am still pissed off that Stefanie has waited all of these years before saying anything.
Baby steps, and we'll see what happens. Gosh this is all mess up. Knowing myself and fully knowing that I have exhausted all of my energy into reviewing these case files, I know that I am pushing it too far, and I am on the brink of exhaustion, I should just probably call it a night, Probably the best of ideas for now. Putting away all of my notes and shutting down the data terminal, I finally stand up from my seat and head out of the office, but I also hear voices. Boss Man and Gorgeous, should have known.
Side stepping and leaving both baby girl and lover boy have their little intimacy, I finally look towards Andros and Elika with a faint smile. "I believe I heard tea and hot cocoa? I state knowingly, and considering that I am also holding my empty cup, that has perpetually been filled with coffee, it's a solid idea to trade for one or the other. Oh right, and there is still that other thing only letting Andros know that I have gone behind his back, since after all it has been my original idea, to get him representation. "Boss Man, I need to speak with you. I know for a fact that he hates sugarcoating and I also know for a fact that he despises when people waste his time, for all I know he might have other engagement after this. Pointing towards the kitchen and leading everyone there, since something tells me that we are all heading there anyways, and this isn't, and shouldn't be a secret for anyone, at least no one currently present here. I know that perhaps this is not something you want to talk about right now, but I have gone ahead and called people to represent you and your brother as well against the crimes you are being accused of. I might have had a better way to go on about this, but right now, that is just the only way I know how to, And I am exhausted, so whatever, as long as he gets the idea. They are old friends of mine and Crystal, though one of them ... Glancing briefly at Baby Girl, but also Lover Boy, for I am sure that even the latter put two and two together. Well let's just say that they are people we trust, and will make it a point to clear your name and Atlantis' from those supposedly crimes you are accused of."
I know this is a fifty fifty chance on whether Andros will be pissed off, just annoyed or whatever considering that often times, from what I know about him, he doesn't play nice with new people, at all. But I do trust in the three lawyers' abilities, and also the fact that I am sure that they will see Andros for who he truly is and not just a glaring, and somewhat constantly irritated guy.

Truth be told? Crystal wasn't sure, at all, if she would be going through in contacting her mom. Just like Lily had said previously, as much as Crystal also loved her mom, Lily did have a point, especially on how that conversation about her stepfather would turn out. Crystal relatively got along with her mom, but when it came to Derak Arthos, it was never a peaceful conversation. A big factor on why Crystal had preferred to not get into those type of her conversation with her mom, she had already experienced that a while ago, why someone like Derak and why leave Virgil in the first place?
But that wasn't the question right now, currently she was just trying to decide on whether she would be informing Andros now, or tomorrow, potentially. Though seeing her boyfriend's brother walking back here too with Elika, that settled it in a way, and who knew perhaps Lily would have something to say about that too, especially when Crystal knew that her childhood friend despised holding something important such as this, off.
Smiling faintly when she sees the trio from outside making their way indoors, Crystal was certainly relieved to see them together, as this was just ho it was supposed to be. Them just being together and not caring about what tomorrow could bring. But as expected, that recent holocom changed a lot of things, a few things had been revealed to her by her ex-fiancée... Though Crystal still couldn't understand why she had waited this long to say all of those things, when she was certain that something could have been done about it before.
No point now in thinking about the what could have been, what happened back then couldn't be undone... Unfortunately.
Looking over at Atlantis when he approached her, Crystal had no idea on how to reply to that question of his. She didn't know how she was feeling, a mixture of anger, frustration, and understanding but also sadness. It all came down to those three factors really. Sadness from how it all ended, frustration because Derak had threatened Stefanie, and just plain understanding on why it all happened that way. "I don't know, Atlantis." Crystal sincerely replied just looking at him with a frown, plus there wasn't just that comm that was on her mind, there was also that other thing that Ares had been wanting to talk to her about with Ryan...
Wrapping an arm around Atlantis' waist, she walked towards the kitchen with him, as Lily, like she had expected, expressed her need to speak with Andros. Even by then, Crystal didn't say hello to anyone, not to Elika, or Andros. Didn't welcome home Elika, or anything. Crystal was just drained in a way but also her mind was just a complicated place with several ongoing thoughts. Finally regaining some of her senses and coming back to the now, Crystal lifted her hand in Elika's direction and waved her hand slightly before shaking her head. "It's fine, sweetie, nothing for me, but thank you for the offer."
Pulling away from Atlantis, she still went to the conservator to get some water, because it was what she had originally wanted when she stepped out of her room and just leaned against the kitchen island as Lily explained a few things to Andros. Crystal looked from her childhood friend to the Vice-Governor, and closed her eyes briefly. "It wasn't just her own idea, Andros." Crystal told him softly finally taking a sip of her water before putting the small bottle of water down on the kitchen island. "Kassidy Payne, Lindsay Mildhurt, and Stefanie Strange are friends from back home, though the latter, she and I were more than friends for seven years. But that is not the reason why Lily and I have contacted them, it's because we know them, and trust in their abilities in exonerating you from all of the charges if this ever goes to court." Crystal told him with a frown before glancing at Lily. "It was that, or Lily resigning to represent you, and we all know that you would categorically refuse that."
There was turmoil in her eyes, because of everything that had just happened, and she sounded so tired, all of her energy had been sapped out in a way, plus it was late... Though hopefully, because she wasn't really in the mood to deal with any more drama, Andros would react amiably... Still though it did not stop her from looking at him, to let him know at least that she was very certain about this all, though she knew he might have more questions or anything, perhaps, but that was something she would just let him know to revisit for tomorrow as for tonight she was really not inclined to go through it all again...

Elikapeka cannot help but laugh despite the circumstances and all but certain assurance that more drama is either inbound or has already descended upon her friends when Atlantis, in his unique and oft frustrating way, tries to make things less obfuscated only to succeed in making them more confusing than they previously had been, and nods with an expression both befuddled and amused as she says in reply, "Uuuum, okay? You could probably vague that up some more if you really tried, she adds jokingly to try and inject a bit of levity into things as she suspects that it may soon be in short supply, but A for effort."
Ignoring Atlantis' suggestion that she handle the tea whilst he makes the cocoa, Elikapeka sets about making both when they enter the kitchen, filling the tea kettle and getting a pan to heat the milk for the cocoa while Atlantis speaks with his brother. Adept at selective attention, Elika does not listen in on what the twins speak of anymore than she does to what Lily says upon joining them a moment afterwards, figuring that with how private Andros often is he might prefer that not everyone is all up in his business, and will therefore probably appreciate being given a bit of space and privacy as he speaks with his brother and Lily. Smiling at Lily and waving a hello, Elika then focuses solely on the tea and cocoa, even making a bit more noise than is absolutely necessary to demonstrate in a subtle way how little attention she is paying to the conversations going on around her.
Setting a mug of cocoa, complete with tiny marshmallows floating inside, in front of Atlantis, Elika pats his shoulder before nodding to reply to Crystal when her friend joins them and says that doesn't want anything. Not wanting to interrupt, Elika silently puts an arm around Crystal's shoulders to give her a quick hug, and then returns to finishing preparing the tea rather than trying to join the conversation going on with Andros and the others as she is still intent on giving Andros some privacy in case he wants to have at least some small measure of it.
After the tea has steeped for what she imagines is just the right amount of time, Elika pours herself a cup and then sets the pot along with cream, sugar, and a few cups and saucers on the kitchen island in case anyone else might want a cup before setting about cleaning up after herself.

It wasn't only because Andros wasn't usually the type to say anything when it did not concern him directly, but more because he had no idea on what had caused Atlantis to feel that way to begin with. So perhaps, once more, Andros was avoiding the whole subject by giving his own generic line, but it was also because he didn't want to really worry Elika more... The moment they had reached the lakehouse though, Andros had looked at his brother with a dubious expression figuring that if indeed he stuck around for a little while, he'd understand clearly why he had felt that certain emotional surge from Atlantis...
Andros supposed that he would know that right that instant when their very own Attorney General requested to have a talk with him. Not really caring on who might hear, and because he was fine with any one of them listening to this conversation, he after all trusted them all, Andros listened attentively to what Lily was saying to him. Unsurprisingly, or surprisingly, Andros had been looking at Lily with his very own stare, and his jaw had locked as he gritted his teeth. Not that he did not appreciate Lily's action, but a part of him had preferred that this matter before any decisions were taken be discussed with him.
"Ljiljana..." Andros began to say with a somewhat annoyed tone as he placed his hands on each side of his head. Why did he stay for this, to be dropped a bomb of this magnitude on his lap, he should have just dropped Elika here and stayed in the airspeeder before departing again, but no, his brother had convinced him to stay, and also because he had been concerned also, but this? This was really something that irritated him, at least that was until Crystal had spoken to explain her side of the story.
Raising his head and looking at the CFO, Andros briefly narrowed his eyes and just looked at her for the longest time in silence, taking it all, taking all of the explanation and also mentally taking notes of the lawyers' names. "You and Stefanie, more than friends for seven years..." Andros repeated as he looked at his brother briefly, now understanding why Atlantis had felt that way, and why it had sent an emotional shock-wave to Andros... "I see." Andros took a deep breath and looked back at Lily and Crystal since the two of them actually had that idea to begin with, or it was just Crystal backing up Lily, Andros didn't know at all, but one thing was certain. "You are right about me refusing the resignation..." Andros eventually stated, before closing his eyes momentarily after seeing that all too familiar look from Crystal. Andros just knew that look.
"It is none of my business, of course, but there is more than that condensed version you have given, isn't there?" Andros rhetorically asked before shaking his head, not needing any answers at all from there, at all. "Elika, it's okay..." Andros finally said as he exactly knew what she was doing, and truth be told, if he had wanted some privacy, he would have stopped this conversation and would have taken it elsewhere. "If they do get the job done, and exonerate Atlantis and I, then that is all that matters to me in the end, but what about you three?" Andros asked dubiously as he looked at not only Atlantis, but also Lily and particularly Crystal really...

Atlantis knew that his explanations to Elika wasn’t going to help any, but he really did not know where to start. He really didn’t, and while he already knew some of the surface of that story, he knew that there was more to it, it was his only explanation for seeing Stefanie Strange, and how she had reacted to Crystal’s words during the holocomm, it was telling.
There was more to the story, than that simple note, and leaving the engagement ring on the nightstand, that same engagement ring that was by now in the lake, or just eaten by any of the occupants of that said lake.
Now there he was with Crystal, and he clearly had a noticeable frown on his features, but said nothing more, as honestly? Atlantis had no idea on what to say there, he didn’t want to say just to fill out the silence really especially when he had nothing concrete to say, thus he preferred to stay his tongue at this point and simply followed everyone in the kitchen with in mind making that hot cocoa but of course Elika got there first like she had said she would. With nothing left to do really but just listen, Atlantis leaned against the kitchen counter and listened to the ongoing conversation.
The three of them, over there, were government, Atlantis wasn’t and quite honestly a part of him didn’t want to interrupt that, at all. Which was a big reason why he was staying aloof from that conversation, but that was until Andros not only addressed Elika telling her it was fine, for just like Atlantis, it seemd that Elika seemed to not want be listening to what was being said, and then finally the Vice-Governor addressed not only him, but also Lily and first and foremost Crystal.
“That decision is out of my hands, Andros and whatever I feel or do not feel is irrelevant.” Atlantis replied sincerely, as after all, he was more concerned about what Crystal was feeling in the end, of what this whole situation would bring. Clearly drama, and with everything else going on around, it made him wonder what would happen then. “But that being said, since they are going to make their way here, could you pull some strings in giving them immediate clearance to land. I said I would take care of it, but…” He knew that Andros would understand, but at the same time, he was grateful for Andros’ concern.
Finally grabbing the mug of hot cocoa, Atlantis looked at Elika with gratefulness and thanked her with a nod after she patted his shoulder though at the same time he had looked at her with a clearly tired and weary expression because everything that had been going on around them just tire him to the point that sometimes he just wanted to scream his lungs out at how powerless he was with this whole situation…

Greeting Gorgeous back with a wink and a wave of my own hand before looking back at Boss Man after Baby Girl has added a few more details about the three lawyers, at least the main ones, there is just something in Andros' demeanor, while yes he always looks like in a short fuse, what he says, and asks Crystal in particular, actually makes me smile faintly. He cares, no doubts there, something must have happened for him to realize that something was off with Baby Girl ... I do not have to search long, because Lover Boy is here, and he has spoken with the three lawyers ... Sighing softly after pondering about that question and grabbing a cup to make myself some tea, I actually do not know how to answer to that except. "It goes without saying, that yes in all of its finality, them getting the job done is all that matters to me. That is the truth, although another thing is clearly making me reconsider this whole thing, but too late now, P.M.S. has accepted. They will get the job done, and I will make sure of it, no sidetracks, nothing, and thing will be dealt in its due time."
For what it is worth, Andros needn't to concern himself with anything else but getting exonerated from those charges, whatever Stefanie has to tell me, or in particular Crystal, he doesn't need to know, but I can already tell that he is quite aware that there is more to the story ... And just like his brother, he is concerned, and perhaps also I should inform Gorgeous about all that, or I am sure that Baby Girl will do so ... But hey, wait a second. Remembering that little conversation, Hot Stuff knows them, and I know that he has been making the back and forth between here and Honoghr. "They are located in Honoghr, Looking at Boss Man and particularly Baby Girl, I nod knowingly. Trust me on this, he knows all of them and there was something between your brother and Spanky."
Finally finishing up with fixing my cup of tea, I look at Gorgeous with an appreciative smile, lifting my cup in her direction. "Thanks for this, Gorgeous. I guess that soon enough you'll be meeting a few more people." I know that Gorgeous isn't really the social butterfly, and I also know that she avoids crowds, but the women coming to represent Andros and Atlantis are women she is bound to encounter once they are here, especially considering that they are part of my previous life and particularly Crystal's. I do not hesitate though to let her know that there is clearly more to it, especially in my gaze, and that sooner or later, I would explain it all to her ... Or perhaps Baby Girl will, who knows? Finally taking a sip of my tea after blowing on it, I just find myself thinking further about what Stefanie has said in that comm ...

Returning Elika's quick hug, Crystal smiled warmly at her friend. Part of her wanted to ask Elika how it went with Lana, but that other part of her just knew that it wasn't the right moment or the right place, especially with the ongoing conversation here in the kitchen. Crystal had wished that this didn't happen, not with everything that had been going on already, she clearly didn't need another drama, not when she solely wanted Atlantis to focus on what was going on the planet... Knowing him though, Crystal knew that he would be worried until that certain situation concerning her was resolved. Something told her though that it was only the beginning. A while ago, she was still a normal person, not attuned to the Force, and just unable to grasp what it meant to have these type of abilities, though she knew it implied sacrifices and it implied not to give in too much to emotions. It took two comms for Crystal to understand what Andros had been dealing with on a day to day basis, anger, grief and just plain turmoil. It made her appreciate more the man than she could ever imagine, and Atlantis was her rock, like he also seemed to be for his brother.
Was there even an end to his selflessness? Crystal couldn't even see the end of that, especially with the conversation they had in her room earlier. He had been the one to subtly suggest that perhaps Stefanie might have had a reason to leave. He had been the one who made her consider to perhaps listen if Stefanie had wished to talk, but first and foremost he had been the one who just stood there not only throughout the comm but also had been there to talk to her.
It was all Atlantis, and she just knew that he was someone who would always fight for what he believed in. Crystal already felt guilty for putting him through all of that, she already felt guilty for him being face to face with Stefanie, the woman who had been Crystal's all for several years up till four years ago, and just now on that second holocomm, Stefanie had revealed the reason why she left in the dead of night. Just the thought of her stepfather made Crystal's blood boil.
Thankfully though, it was Andros' words that brought her back to the present, to the topic at hand and Crystal just focused her attention on him knowing and understanding that yes he would be irritated by that unilateral decision that she and Lily had taken, on outsourcing his defense, but it was the only way. "Yes, there is more to that condensed version..." Crystal replied unequivocally, not that he asked for that question at least or the whats and whys, she did not hesitate to state it out. "We were engaged, until someone forced her hand to break off that engagement." Crystal gritted her teeth slightly at the thought of that someone before taking a deep breath and looking at her childhood friend with an arched eyebrow, but at the same time, she was thankful for Lily's interjection there, about the lawyers' location. "I am not even surprised that there was something between Ryan and Kassidy, you two could be twins..." Unsurprisingly, Crystal smiled at that statement, for it had been a recurrent statement from them all back then in Coruscant, and still now, they were obviously still the same...
"Andros, my issues, I will deal with those internally and privately, it won't influence the case, or them representing you, therefore I don't want you to worry about that for one second. They will do it right, plus, I am sure that Lily will be supervising that as well." Not that Lily would need to supervise them, it all went down to actually just Lily helping them out and procuring what they would need. Though now that she had said her piece, Crystal included her head slightly and rubbed her temple. "I am just hoping that all of that will be over quickly." Crystal took a deep breath and raised her hand slightly after she inclined her head, she definitely needed to think about several things now, and something told her again that she wouldn't be able to sleep right away. "I'll catch you all tomorrow..." Crystal softly said with a weary tone, although she did faintly smiled and added on, "Good night..." Turning around and exiting the kitchen, she headed to her room to just lay down, hoping that some sleep would come soon enough but something told her that it wouldn't be possible at all, not with everything that was running through her mind...
