Andros from the difference replies from either his brother, the AG but also the CFO, he had a straight lips line on his features. The fact that those lawyers are also from Honoghr, that had piqued his interest but it wasn't the time or the place to think about that, instead he just pushed those thoughts aside for now and looked at Crystal more importantly who had given more information. Thus, it was the reason why he had felt those things from his brother. Atlantis had felt what his girlfriend was going through when Crystal had contacted one of her exes.
Those heart stories, while not unfamiliar to Andros, weren't something he was willing to dive into, but he still respected but also admired that despite all of that, Lily and Crystal had gone ahead and contacted them. "I'll take care of the clearances... I'll speak with Director Aestrea." Andros told his brother before taking a deep breath and looked at Crystal with an understanding but also grateful expression as she bid everyone goodnight.
"Goodnight, Crystal." Andros looked from her retreating figure to his brother and nodded in the direction of the CFO before glancing right before him, at Lily. "Give me more details tomorrow, Ljiljana." Andros rubbed his hand on his face before he stood up from the stool and looked at both Lily and Elika. "I will be going as well, so that you two can rest up too." Not really the kind to kiss, and hug for goodnight, Andros just inclined his head and smiled briefly before saying. "Good night." Turning around and exiting the lakehouse, that was soon followed by him embarking on his airspeeder to head back to the city...

You know those moments when you don't know what to do or what to say? You also know when clearly there are things going on that it is preferable you stay out of it because, despite the fact that you are the brother of the Chief Financial Officer, and the boyfriend of the Attorney General, you have no idea on what to say or anything that would be helpful?
Those were one of those moments for Ryan...
Having overheard what had been said in the kitchen, there were a few things that made him realize that not only the senior partners of Payne, Mildhurt, and Strange were friends with both Crystal and Lily, but one of those senior partners was engaged to his sister. Seven years together, that was a long time... That also enabled him to understand a little bit more Stefanie Strange, why she often seemed withdrawn, compared to Kassidy Payne?
Seeing his sister exit the kitchen first, Ryan was at a loss for words, sure he and Crystal did get close, but that episode of her life wasn't something they really discussed, not that he blamed her anyways... Finally walking up to the kitchen after Andros also left, Ryan looked at his girlfriend and her housemate, but also Atlantis with a frown.
"I had no idea you knew them, Lily..." Ryan admitted softly as he rubbed the back of his neck briefly before glancing at his adopted cousin and smiled faintly. "If it's any consolation, Atlantis, they really are good, they are on RDMC's, the hospital I used to work for, retainer." He knew that it was a long shot or maybe that statement wouldn't help his cousin at all, especially with how Crystal had been feeling about it all, calling that law firm, it certainly had taken a toll on her.
"And before you ask, mi cuore, si, about me and Kassidy but nothing serious." Ryan sincerely said before taking a deep breath and rubbing his face, "Ask me anything you want, it's fine, but rain check on that? I am a little beat." He added on thoughtfully before inclining his head respectfully to both Elika and Atlantis and finally said. "Good night..." Turning around to walk out of the kitchen, Ryan headed towards Lily's bedroom knowing fully well that he probably wouldn't sleep immediately anyways...

Preferring to say mute currently, Atlantis just kept on drinking the hot chocolate that Elika had made for him, and this really was a good treat despite how the evening was ending... Inclining his head gratefully to what Andros had said about speaking with Horsea for the lawyers' clearances, Atlantis knew that would be the easy part, the toughest part would be for Crystal, and also Lily since after all they were all friends back then, and some more than friends. Finishing his cup of hot chocolate, Atlantis brought that to the sink and began to wash it, along with the other things that had been used or emptied before turning to look at the kitchen's entrance direction. Crystal was calling it a night, and so was Andros. He was about to head out of the kitchen after saying goodnight but Ryan's arrival stopped him momentarily.
"I am sure they are good..." Atlantis replied with a faint sigh before glancing towards Lily mainly. "If they weren't, I don't think your sister would have caved in to comming them..." There was a reason why he was looking at the attorney general, and he knew that she was smart after all, and she would figure out that he knew. "I know how it ended four years ago, and..." Sighing yet again and closing his eyes momentarily, Atlantis rubbed the root of his nose before frowning. "I just hope that all of you will get some closure with that."
Atlantis meant that, he also had seen how Stefanie Strange had reacted to what Crystal had thrown at the lawyer, he saw it all, and he just knew that there was more to it. No one would be stupid enough to let Crystal go, ever. And he wasn't going to do the same thing at all. Walking towards Lily and placing his hand on her forearm, he gave her a little squeeze. "Thank you, for everything." However she interpreted that, that was up to her, but all in all, Atlantis was thanking her for being there for Crystal through and through, he was thanking her for being a great friend, and all.
Smiling briefly, Atlantis looked at both Lily and Elika before inclining his head. "I am going to call it a night, as well, thanks again for the cocoa, Elika. See you both tomorrow." Atlantis said before adding on. "Have a good night," And with that, Atlantis left the kitchen and headed straight to where Crystal was, to get some sleep, or at least try to get some sleep to be prepared for what tomorrow might bring...

Despite Andros making it clear that she is not intruding or unwanted even though the reasons that everyone has gathered in the kitchen at the moment do not involve her, Elikapeka keeps aloof from the discussion, remaining present primarily to be there to offer Crystal or Andros any support, silent or otherwise, that they might need. Elika, who had until now viewed the current predicament facing Atlantis and Andros as something which was certain to pass over eventually with little lasting repercussions, is forced to confront the possibility that she is being naively hopeful when it becomes evident just how worried Crystal and Lily must be given that they feel the best option is one that requires Crystal inviting such an emotionally laden situation into her life. Can, Elika wonders, things really be so bad that there is no other option, no beings on Umgul or anywhere else in the universe that everyone trusts and can agree are qualified enough to defend Andros if it comes to that other than those from Lily and Crystal's past? The decision has been made in any event, and Elika trusts that Crystal is strong enough to navigate whatever storms might lay ahead of her without fail, just as she trusts that Lily and Elika herself will be there to offer Crystal whatever support she might need.
Giving Andros a supportive smile along with the nod she returns as he takes his leave, Elika resists the urge to give him a hug or some other physical show of her support, and is equally silent in her farewells as Crystal, Ryan, and Atlantis leave the kitchen themselves. Going from the high of spending time with Delaana to the low of being confronted with the fallout from the plotting against Andros and Atlantis leaves Elika feeling drained, and it takes her a moment, after Atlantis leaves, to summon the energy and will to get moving. Sighing and rubbing her temples, Elika tells Lily with a halfhearted, forced smile, "I can finish cleaning up in here, Lil'. Trying for a bit of levity, she adds, You don't want to keep Ryan waiting, do you?"

Nodding really, but mostly remaining silent there after the side comment from Baby Girl about me and Spanky being twins, that is a no brainer really for those who know both of us ... Surely we do have some differences, personality wise at least? The more I think about it, the more actually I am drawing a blank, Yep, twins, they'll understand soon enough, I am sure. Still I am keeping myself at bay from that fill in Crystal is doing because I already know the story, or at least Baby Girl's side of the story, and now I know Stefanie's partial one, but nevertheless I do incline my head at Boss Man when he requests of me to give him more details the next day.
It really has come to all of this ... Closing my eyes and internally groaning, there is nothing I can change all of that any more, anyways. Thankfully though, Ryan provides me with some relief, and I eve smile at him just genuinely. The fact that he is clearly worried about that, or what he and Spanky had, actually I am not holding that against him. "You're sweet, Hot Stuff, and no I don't need to ask about you and Kassidy, since like you have stated, I do know her, so it's fine." Acknowledging the fact that he is beat, I incline my head before focusing back onto Lover Boy who is talking about some sort of closure. I guess so, although I don't really need it, Crystal does, but then again I commend him for being there that way.
It isn't until Gorgeous and I are both alone that I finally focus my attention back onto her, she has been mute for no doubt she must have felt that this doesn't involve her, and I do understand but I can also see that she seems to be worried ... "Gorgeous, sweetie, Ryan can wait besides, he'll understand. I seem to recall me saying a certain statement a while ago about chicks before? Smiling and tilting my head aside after leaning against the kitchen island, I purse my lips momentarily, but really there is only one way for me to say this. I know you are worried, Gorgeous, and just like me you want to do everything you can do to be there for them, but at the same time, you don't know what to do. I won't lie to you but you already know this, I am highly a cynical person who has a hard time thrusting others that I do not know. She knows that much about me, since she already has witnessed that first hand when I clearly stated my position about Helaine's persona once when we saw her with Lyov, despite the good they have done, which I don't spit upon at all, it's good, there is just something not sitting right with me, especially about Helaine. The lawyers from mine and Crystal's past, them I trust in their abilities. They know it matters to me, to Crystal, to all of us, so they will do everything they can do to clear Andros' and Atlantis' names." It's confidently I tell her that, because really I do know that they are good at their trade, Despite what has happened between Stefanie and Crystal, despite how the former left, I now know she did have a reason to do so. Another problem for another day ...
"But anyways, Even if Gorgeous has stated that she could finish up here, I actually do not mind finishing up as well by helping her out anyways, but this is relaxing and I also know one way to keep Elika's mind occupied at least until everything here is cleaned up. Your turn, how did it go with the Hapan Bombshell, any riveting, juicy stories to tell? I ask her teasingly, not that she does have to answer at all. No one's life should stop because of what is going on currently anyways ... Walking up in her direction and starting to put everything away that Lover Boy has washed, drying the cups and spoons, I bump my hips against Gorgeous gently. I am sure that you two had a lovely talk together, just press pause on that moment will you and fade what you have heard here in the background when you go to sleep Gorgeous. Winking at her teasingly and putting back the cloth to the holder there I finally take a deep breath, and despite knowing that I won't be falling asleep immediately due to the amount of coffee I have consumed, I believe it is indeed probably best for me to do so, and just let Gorgeous have a breather. You have a good night, and despite it all, I can take comfort on the fact that you are happy, I so called it." Laughing softly and winking at her before backing away from the kitchen, I blow her a kiss and finally head to my room to at least get some shut eye.

Elikapeka nearly chokes on her tea when Lily reminds her of one of her many uniquely phrased pearls of wisdom, spluttering a laugh as she sets her mug down and nods, saying once she has recovered, "Yes, yes I do remember, beautiful. Nodding, the sense of levity already fading despite Lily's attempt to reassure her, Elika says, Well, I'll try and be reassured by your reassurance, beautiful, but I can't promise much more than that." Knowing how brutally honest Lily is, Elika knows that her friend's assessment of the lawyers skills is almost certainly accurate, and yet finds it difficult to let that relieve the sense of unease she has been left with; not only where the situation with the twins is concerned, but also where the emotional charged atmosphere that will likely result from the group of lawyers being present given all that had happened in the past.
Giving Lily a wry grin accompanied by a tilt of her head that makes it clear that Elika knows that she is trying to change the subject and is playing along with it, Elika still cannot help but smile smittnely at the mention of Delaana. "I'll just say that we did have a lovely time, beautiful, Elika says, a private being at heart that is not often comfortable with or even willing to speak of her relationships with others in anything beyond superficial or general terms. You did call it, Elika agrees with a smile when Lily points out that she had done so, and then says, Good night beautiful," when Lily leaves, and pretends to catch the kiss that is blown towards her. Elika finishes her tea after Lily has left, the complicated tangle of emotions that the evening has left her with - the excitement and other similar feelings her time with Delaana and the sense that they have begun to find and build something beautiful in one another commingled with the stress and worry of all that is happening with Andros and Atlantis, as well as how that is affecting all those close to them - making her feel certain that her usual insomnia will even more pronounced. Doing her best to take Lily's advice about focusing on the more pleasant things developing in her life, Elika cleans the kitchen and then makes her way to her bedroom to give the sleeping thing a chance.

It was early in the morning, Crystal was wearing a sweater and jogging pants but also sipping some freshly brewed caf, she had been mulling over several facts that occurred yesterday. From her brother being here now, actually the other one who had been AWOL for how many months, to what a certain Stefanie Strange, her ex, had revealed on why she left in the first place. Crystal simply didn't know how to straighten out her thoughts, and while usually she would just punch away her troubles, right now she really had the impression that it wasn't going to be an easy fix; the punching. Things had to be talked about, another party was involved apart from her, and she knew that she would only grow frustrated by the end of her punching than relaxed. Already tried her first go to ways of coping; jogging, it didn't do the trick at all.
Thus now, here she was just sitting at the kitchen island on a barstool and drinking coffee. She had already decided during her jog that she wouldn't be coming to work as she didn't really have her heart in it, plus with what Andros and Atlantis were going through, she really didn't want to be under the scrutiny of some government employees. Glancing over her datapad, and sighing softly, Crystal picked it up after putting her cup down to notify Delaana, her PA, that she wouldn't be coming in today, that done, she checked her other messages those few she had sent her dad, and still those were unanswered.
She just hoped that he was fine and not in some sort of trouble, if he were, she knew she'd at least feel that right? Hopefully because she really was at a crossroad right now. For a few seconds again, she had been tempted to contact her mom, but then she remembered Lily's words from yesterday, and the thought of her mom pretending that her stepdad walked on water irked her by a lot that it always got her blood to boil. Crystal just despised what he represented and now with Stefanie's revelation yesterday, she hated him even more... Gritting her teeth at the thought of Derak Athos, Crystal clenched one of her fists to control her emotions, and not let those take the driver's seat, otherwise she really had no idea what would happen if she did.
It was so easier when I wasn't attuned to the Force... She thought to herself before taking a deep breath and standing up to fill her cup with more coffee...

The following day of the pool party, Atlantis had stirred on Crystal's bed and feeling she was no longer there. Seeing the time made him realize it was not only that early, but he had also dozed off for a few hours after talking a little more with Crystal. It really wasn't the very serious kind of talk but just knowing how she was apprehensive in finding out a few things the following days. He knew that he would never have the right words to make it all better, and he just knew that he would only be a witness to everything that was to come. Sighing softly and taking the time to freshen up, actually just take a shower and brush his teeth, he finally walked out of Crystal's room fully clothed, just simple pants and black shirt before making his way towards the kitchen.
"Good morning." Atlantis told his girlfriend, walking straight to her and kissing her temple affectionately, he wasn't going to ask if she had a goodnight sleep, he wasn't going to ask how was her workout actually, instead he just poured himself some black coffee into a cup and just stood next to her.
"Lazy day today?" He asked her teasingly, as after all he did know Crystal and he also knew that by this time she was already getting ready and she would have her coffee afterwards, but it seemed that it wasn't the case today, plus he didn't want to stir some unwelcomed emotions having felt a remnant of some of her anger before he even walked into the kitchen. "Need a chaperone today to pilot you around?" Atlantis was about to toss in an intended pun but her decided against it, instead he had taken a cup of coffee and placed his hand on her lower back rubbing her soothingly. "Unless of course you'd rather your brother come here for that talk?"
Atlantis knew that it was a touchy subject too, but still he really had no idea on what to say, heck he also had no idea on what to do currently. He knew that in a way, at least to him, he was failing on comforting her, and he really was overall at a complete loss for words, though hopefully someone, anyone could get through to her and make it all better, even if it wasn't him, he just wanted, needed Crystal to be okay...

Despite her sincere intention to adhere to her resolution to jog diligently each and every morning in her quest to get into better shape, when her alarm goes off early enough to give her time to jog before getting ready for work Elikapeka silences it on autopilot, hitting snooze numerous times before, with a resigned groan followed by a heavy sigh that is part disappointment in herself for her failure to follow through on the plan to jog and part disappointment that snoozing any more will result in being late for work.
Taking longer than usual to do her hair and makeup due to the fact that she and Delaana are meeting for lunch, and fussing over her outfit longer still in an effort to find just the right balance between professional, flattering to her less than perfect figure, and also tastefully sexy in a subtle way, Elika finds herself needing to rush more and more as the time seems to go far too quickly.
Hopping on one foot as she pulls on her other tasteful yet elegant mid-heel pump with whimsical yet professional ankle-tie loops, and which matches the charcoal grey three-piece suit with a black blouse she finally settled on, Elika enters the kitchen with her portfolio, backpack purse and trench coat tucked under an arm, and smiles as she tells Crystal and Atlantis, "Good morning, and, after succeeding in getting the pump on without tripping or dropping anything, rests the trench coat on the back of a chair as she asks, Has anyone seen if Franz is up yet? as he has been assigned to take her lieutenant's place while she is on vacation with Forcias, and then asks, Is there any caf left? in a hopeful tone as she sets her portfolio down beside the chair and heads for a cabinet to get a mug. As she is reaching for a mug, she asks them in an equally hopeful sounding tone that reveals her concern for her friends as eloquently as asking them a more direct or pointed question which would not enable them to avoid subjects that they might not want to discuss at the moment the way her less direct and more subtle question does, Sleep well?"

"Present." Franz replied as he walked into the kitchen after having heard his name being spoken by Elika. He was just comfortably clothed, casual but also at the same time respectably due to the fact that he knew that he would have to bring Elika to work, and he had in mind to pass up as an intern there if too many questions were being asked.
He hadn't slept much, mostly due to the fact that he was still reeling from what happened last night to him but also because he knew that something had happened while he had been away. It was all too tangential emotionally speaking, he just knew that something had happened but he really had no clue on what it was really, at least not just yet. Sure he could have asked this very morning discreetly to his cousin, but he guessed that it was whenever whomever was ready to talk about it. Thus this morning, early morning he had shown up here. He didn't actually sleep here since quite honestly it would already be too weird for him and he absolutely didn't want to smother anyone, let alone Elika.
"Morning all." He told them with a warm smile before sitting down on one of the barstool by the kitchen island. The first thing he had seen, Elika was dressed for work, and Crystal didn't seem to be, he assumed that perhaps the latter wouldn't be going to work? But that was just assumption, either way, he was willing to drive whomever to work this morning. He guessed he'd have to wait if the Attorney General was showing up soon as well. "Say, Elika, you have any important appointments today, so that I'll know whenever to disappear not that you'll see that much of me, or at least I'll try to erase myself as much as I can..." Franz said thoughtfully, after all it was just still a little uncomfortable for him but at the same time he was under orders too.
A while ago, he would have at least tried to contest this whole thing, but with what was going on lately with the Vyridian brothers, he knew that potentially a close friend of theirs could turn into a target, and he'd be hating himself if he had failed on this simple task...

Opening my eyes, and thankfully, feeling fully rested, it takes me a moment to actually raise from my bed after checking the time. Ten minutes to spare before my alarm ... Which I deactivate so that Hot Stuff doesn't wake up from that nagging beep. Running my hand through my face, I finally stand up and rearrange the cover letting Ryan snooze for a little while longer while I go take a shower and get myself prepared for work.
Doesn't take me that long before I finally emerge from my bedroom quietly with my briefcase and wearing a corporate attire while checking my datapad for any messages that I might have missed the previous day, but highly unlikely anyways. "Morning, Greeting everyone in the kitchen and placing my trenchcoat and briefcase on a stool and looking around noticing that baby girl isn't dressed for work, at all, which causes me to double take as I check my chrono, and then the kitchen's chrono. Let me guess, baby girl, personal day? I ask her rhetorically with a knowing expression before heading towards one of the cabinets to grab a cup, wondering if actually there is any coffee let, because I really do need my caffeine intake. Please tell me we have more coffee?"
I really need a caffeine dose, otherwise, hello to crappy me, and they really don't want that. "Gorgeous, you lunch breaking with the Hapan Bombshell today? Or do I have to resort myself into packing some lunch for work, or just order in?" Placing my hand in front of my mouth to yawn, I actually really am not looking forward to working today, or facing some people, although I suppose I should be thanking that paralegal who has provided me with some info that I have been needing. Whatever, I'll just wing it ...

Before he had even come to view, Crystal already knew that it was Atlantis heading in her direction. "Mhmmm, something like that." She had answered him to his question before pecking his cheek as a good morning though before she even answered that question about needing a chaperone or if she preferred that Ares came here for a talk, others had come to the kitchen which caused Crystal to turn around and look at not only Elika, but then there was Franz, who had answered Elika's question, and then Lily."Yes, there is more caf, don't worry about it." Crystal replied to both Elika and Lily before pouring some into their cups. "Besides I am not that mean, it would be a great catastrophe for everyone if you two did not have your caffeine intake in the morning." Crystal winked at both of her roomies before laughing and taking a deep breath.
Soon enough she repeated the questions tossed in her direction, looking at her boyfriend first, Crystal nodded. "No need for chaperone, yes I'd rather Ares came here anyways since as you can see my other brother loves being a log like Lily would say." Speaking of Lily, Crystal inclined her head and smiled faintly. "Yes, personal day, I have notified Lana, and Andros so I will be nowhere near the government building. As for having slept well, sweetie," Crystal looked at Elika with pursed lips before taking a breath.
"If I told you, yes, you wouldn't believe me, and you would be right about that fact, I did manage to sleep a little but it kept being cut, and I refused for him," Glancing momentarily at Atlantis, since after all, all of them would know who she was referring to anyways, even if she didn't look at him. "To help me in that department, this is my problems to deal with Stefanie Strange, and I will solve those when she gets here planet side. I hope." Sighing softly and taking a deep breath, Crystal had actually thought about that while she had been working out that very morning. "I actually need a favor from you, Atlantis." Usually she didn't do that, but this was just something she needed to know. "Since I refuse to contact my mom, I need you to find some information about my stepdad, or what he has been doing all of these years? But please do it discreetly?" Crystal asked of him before locking her jaw, just at the mere thought of Derak Arthos, that expletive Arkanian. "I just want to know if my mom is safe..."

Smiling at Crystal's kiss on his cheek, after she had replied his question about her day, or the reason why she wasn't dressed up for work actually, Atlantis just kept looking at her in silence. He was about to add something more but Elika's arrival in the kitchen followed by Franz and then Lily didn't actually quite make him go through that. Instead he kept silent and listened attentively to the ongoing conversation in the kitchen particularly when Crystal replied about her sleep to Elika, which the architect also asked him but he only bobbled his head from side to side as an answer to begin with and he spoke. "It was okay." Atlantis said with a smile, fact was; no he didn't sleep much but that didn't matter really, and Crystal wasn't to blame, he didn't blame her at all even if she did admit her sleep was cut, and he did try to convince her last night to help her out there, but Crystal was Crystal, she was set in her own ways, and he accepted that. "Though power napping is one of my greatest ally too." He just wanted to alleviate the mood there and there really and he meant nothing more to it.
While the women spoke, Atlantis pulled another mug for Franz and poured the rest of the coffee into it before handing it to his cousin. Franz surely might be needing that, though perhaps not since he seemed fully rested too and quite content, that actually just made him look at his cousin with a perplexed expression; Although before he could ask anything really, Atlantis turned around to look at Crystal when she stated she needed a favor from him.
"Sure, I'll look into it." Atlantis sincerely said before taking a sip of his coffee and putting it down on the kitchen island. She had asked him to be discreet and thus he knew that he couldn't quite go through the usual channels, well then he just knew what to do and clearly he also knew in which systems he could look into. Mainly New Alderaan at least, if not there it was Coruscant. With all that had been going on, he also understood that Crystal clearly didn't want to add another drama into all of this, he knew that and he also knew how her teenage years were like. A big factor why it was a big emphasis on discretion, not that he blamed her really. "I am sure though that she is okay? Otherwise something tells me, you would already know deep down it something was wrong." Atlantis told her softly, though he knew that it was a big leap to take, and still he also knew that Crystal preferred facts too especially when it came to someone she had not seen in a while, due to the fact she clearly refused to be in the same premises as her stepfather. Now it looked like her disdain for that individual exponentially increased...

Looking inordinately relieved when Crystal, while filling her mug along with Lily's, reveals that there is no danger of anyone being deprived of caf this morning, Elikapeka smiles gratefully and says, "Thanks hon'," stepping back once her mug has been filled to avoid any chance of her claustrophobia from acting up as the area near the caf maker becomes increasingly crowded with the latest arrivals.
Giving Atlantis a frown equal parts sympathetic and concerned when he describes his night's rest in such as way that, with the added comment about power naps, Elika is left with the impression that he did not really get much rest at all, Elika sips her caf and, not wanting to call Atlantis out on the matter when there is probably more than enough on his mind without her adding needing to worry about her worrying about him to it, wins a brief battle herself and holds her tongue.
Smiling at Franz when he joins them, Elika says, "Good morning to you too, and then, answering his question about her schedule, shakes her head and explains, I don't have any appointments for the day yet, so unless I have a walk-in or two, it will probably be a pretty boring day for you. With an apologetic shrug of her shoulders, as unaware of the tension and awkwardness laying ahead for her and Franz as she is of the fact her guess about the day will prove wrong, Elika smiles as she tells him, You can just nap on the couch in my office while I work on some designs for projects I guess, or, I don't know, meditate if napping is too unproductive for you."
Blushing ever so slightly when Lily's mention of Delaana inspires some interesting thoughts for her, Elika smiles smittenly as she says, "Um, yes beautiful, we do have plans to meet for lunch. Thoughts wandering for a moment, Elika sips her caf and, shaking her head to clear it, comes back from her daydreaming and apologizes with a frown, So, um, it looks like you're on your own for lunch beautiful, sorry."

Lakehouse - Kitchen
Glad for my caffeine fix, I just end up making a face at baby girl when she describes that it would be a catastrophe if I, or Gorgeous didn't have our caffeine intake ... Which is the truth, and clearly I already know that this is going to be a hectic day with the things I have to deal with ... I probably wouldn't have the time for lunch. Hmmm. "Lunch all by my lonesome, lovely ... Adopting a wistful tone as I reply to Gorgeous, before winking at her and wiggling my eyebrows actually when she does confirm that she has a date with the Hapan Bombshell. I clearly have not missed her blushing moment there and the way she has replied to my inquiry, actually it's enough said. Gorgeous, don't apologize for that, heck I would ditch myself too if I had a date with the Hapan Bombshell. Laughing softly and finally taking a sip of a caf after thanking Baby Girl over there for the cup, I end up leaning against the kitchen island just happily listening to the ongoing conversations. Besides, something tells me I won't really have time for lunch, I have to prep the case for ... Not really wanting to speak their names just yet, for I know it'll sting for Crystal, I am pretty sure that everyone knows by now, except maybe Pookie, but that for sure is going to be an easy fix. And you heard it last night, I need to speak with Boss Man about it."
Taking another sip of my coffee, and that sense of relief happens, thankfully when I hear that Baby Girl has tasked Lover Boy to find out how her mom is faring instead of contacting her directly. Thank God ... "Baby Girl, your mom is fine, and there is no way anything would happen to her. That is with a finality that I say that statement, besides, that expletive Arkanian who managed to make me commit a career suicide back home wouldn't dare touching Baby Girl's mom, just for the simple reason that he has seemed to always keep her around like a trophy wife about whatever. If something happens to her, I am pretty sure that you will be up front and center with a bitch ass attitude, so, trust me your mom is fine, last time I have seen her before coming here she was great. Happy even." That I will never understand, but hey it's Baby Girl's mom, and there is nothing much of a comparison I can give there anyways, only person I would know could compare the before and after Mama Kayne would be Virgil doing the description, but alas ...
Finishing my cup of coffee and putting it in the sink, letting it soak with water for the time being, I pick my up datapad and look over the kitchen's entrance and shake my head with an amused grin. "Right, about your brothers, and you needing, wanting to talk with Ares, actually, you want to be alone for that, or ...?" While I do know that she is a big girl and could probably take anything and whatever Ares might end up telling her, I also want to be there for her if she needs me to, besides sometimes friends are needed for some types of situations, right? Right ...

A little after his arm on his side and noticing that the spot was empty, Ryan opened his eyes adjusting his sight to his surroundings which was dark still. Right the windows setting was still turned to dark opacity. Reaching out for the remote, he cleared one fourth of the top so that some luminosity would enter, Ryan finally sat up on the bed and glanced at the time seeing that it was still early. Closing his eyes momentarily and sensing the people nearby, he could tell that everyone was still here, plus even his cousin was.
Deciding to freshen up after making the bed, Ryan walked out of the bathroom half clothed before tugging a shirt to pair it with his pants, letting his hair damp and just completely undone, he finally walked out of the room and walked up straight to the kitchen catching his girlfriend's question to his sister actually. Not really wanting to interrupt that conversation, he just waved his hand to everyone and made his way to the fridge to grab some orange juice before grabbing a glass from one of the cabinets. He retreated to a corner of the kitchen island to have his drink while they continued to talk.
Whomever actually...
But Lily's question to Crystal did remind him that Ares wanted to talk to him and his sister, and that the message he had left on the comlink didn't sound good at all. He really was apprehensive about the whole thing, which was why he really had a pensive expression about the matter, plus he couldn't deny the fact that a lot of things were still happening, from Andros still being painted as guilty, to the impending arrival of the lawyers from Honoghr, well that was certainly going to be a big complicated situation all around. At least even more. "We'll reach out, I am sure that you already have a lot to think about too..." He told Lily before glancing at his sister if she was agreeable to that too, as for all he knew maybe she would need Lily, or even Atlantis around. "I guess we'll see what is up with Ares, I mean it couldn't be that bad, no?" Ryan sounded optimistic but how deadly wrong he would turn out to be, that he was certain that if and when Ares finally shared what he had to share with them, he would cuss himself badly for saying that statement until, whenever...

Franz was eagerly waiting for Elika's answer, and when she did give it to him, he inclined his head with a grateful smile. "Come what may, I suppose, I'll just see when the time comes." Franz said thoughtfully, it wasn't that it was going to be boring for him, okay maybe a little, but still he couldn't understand why while even being planetside at her work, Elika would still need a protective detail. That was something he never understood before, and still he didn't understand now. Though considering the recent occurrences it made sense anyways.
And now he found out that she had a date with Delaana too for lunch. By the Force... He thought internally before glancing at Atlantis with a wide meaningful eyes but then he turned towards where his cousin had shown up and waved back at the man before taking a deep breath.
Franz knew that this was something he had to deal with, and he also knew that he had made a promise to Lieutenant Lyn that nothing would happen to Elika on his watch, and he also pretty much promised the others too, so to speak. Either way, he also knew that this had been a ploy from all of them to pull him out from that routine he had settled himself into. Which some described as unhealthy especially with the way he had begun approaching life ever since he had come back from Coruscant when he left for a few weeks...
Taking a deep breath and smiling at Atlantis who had given him a cup of coffee, Franz smiled gratefully and took a drink of his caf letting the liquid course through his system. He had noticed Atlantis' perplexed expression and Franz just smiled yet again before taking a another deep breath. He actually remembered the night before when Ayodele just kissed him, and he had returned the soft kiss before watching her leave on her own. He did have that warm smile, and still he had kept looking at her fading silhouette into the mist. Taking another sip of coffee, he lowered the cup with a faint grin, before adopting a more neutral expression considering that despite his brief daydreaming episode, he was still following the conversation and the talks about Crystal's mom but also the talk about Ares needing to speak to both of his siblings...

Taking a deep breath, Crystal ended up just taking a sip of her coffee, before closing her eyes briefly. She was thankful that at least Atlantis would be looking into it, to see how her mom was faring, but at the same time, she guessed indeed that she would know if anything had happened to her mom, at least she guessed she would know? But then again she didn't want to assume anything, it had been a while since she saw her mom, nly because she was doing everything she could to avoid her stepfather, for many reasons. Settling her cup down onto the kitchen island, Crystal looked at her childhood friend and gritted her teeth momentarily.
With everything that had been happening, Crystal really didn't want to lash out on Lily, even if what Lily had said here and now had some truth, this was really not the time. "Ljiljana, my bitch ass attitude, up front and center won't do much if I am damn here, and not there." Crystal said with a flat tone, although her emotions had been flaring up, she knew that the guys that were attuned to the Force would be feeling it, and knowing Elika but also Lily, they would very well know that she was doing her damnedest to control her tone at least. "Plus you have heard what Stefanie said, my stepfather threatened her, to break it off with me. So just for that Janković, what makes you think that my mom is fine and safe around him. You very well know what he is capable of, you worked with the guy and he shattered your career back home. So please don't tell me that she is fine when you cannot give me any damn guarantees." Crystal told her still with that flat tone, though it sounded gutting, and she really had no time to argue about this at all.
Taking a deep breath and putting her hand up looking at Lily. "I don't want to argue with you, Ljiljana, but just sometimes, just for a split second, please don't." Crystal said thoughtfully before shaking her head and picking up her cup of coffee and just walking away from the kitchen to at least have a smoke back next to the pool and to calm herself, she really didn't want to start the day like it has but it did, pretty amazing. Last night ended in a sour note and today started the same way.
Picking up her cigarette pack on her way out, she lit one up back at the pool area and just took a deep breath again to settle down her emotions, knowing how it would turn out if she let anger take the driver's seat...

Smiling sheepishly and innocently at Elika when she directly frowned at him, Atlantis just ended up pursing his lips knowing that there wasn’t much they could do about it now anyways. So instead, he just kept on sipping his coffee while paying attention to what was being said in the kitchen, at least until his other adopted cousin walked in and went to take some orange juice.
Insofar things seemed to be going well, right? Except that brief tension he started to feel, it had been building up from Crystal to which he just looked at for the time being in silence. For a moment he had thought that she was going to snap at him, and actually there was no way he would hold it against her for his statement could have been a stupid one. But surprisingly it had been Lily that had spoken up about consequences from Crystal if something ever did happen to her mom.
From there on out, it spiraled out of control, Atlantis’ eyes widened momentarily when he got some additional details to what had happened between Crystal, and Stefanie, last night, Crystal did mention that someone had forced Stefanie’s hand to break off the engagement, and now Atlantis knew who that person was.
Crystal’s stepfather…
Looking at Crystal’s departing figure with a frown and then back at Lily with that same frown, apparently, even the AG’s career back home had been shattered by Crystal’s stepfather. Little by little, Atlantis was definitely piecing the pieces back together, the need and want for Crystal’s privacy, to never be in the spotlight with the press on this planet, but first and foremost the desire for anonymity only because she wanted to stay away from that limelight and be reached by her stepdad.
“Lily…” Atlantis began to say hoarsely looking at his girlfriend’s childhood friend with a saddened expression. Part of him knew that perhaps, actually he should probably stay away from that issue altogether, but that other part of him just couldn’t help himself. “Please, I don’t want for you both to start the day this way…” Maybe this was an unwelcoming advice or statement for him, maybe, but then he didn’t want to spend his time calculating the probabilities on what could go wrong or what could go right.
Everyone already had things to think about, to deal with and just this right now, between two close friends, they really didn’t need that now, right? Or was he too hopeful in hoping that none of them would part ways on this day with an argument. Plus he knew Crystal, he knew that she would be worked up by what had just happened, she’d be thinking about it, and Lily too…
Atlantis just stood there for the time being and let Lily have that decision on either to fix this now, or wait until later, until the Force knows what.

Elikapeka, despite her very best efforts, does not quite manage to lift her caf mug to take a sip of her preferred morning, afternoon, and evening beverage fast enough to cover either the blushing of her cheeks or the pleased smile that Lily's comment about ditching herself if a date with Delaana were involved. Elika's expression is sympathetic as well as worried when it is visible once more, Lily's comments about how she will more likely than not find herself occupied with prepping for Andros' defense managing to dredge up all of the dread and worry Elika has been dealing with ever since the press coverage of the murders lain at Andros' feet had begun, having a predictable impact on Andros himself, as well as all those closest to him.
Managing a supportive and grateful smile that, due to her inability to shake off the lingering sense of impending doom that Lily's reminder of the fact that so very much is going on that could explode into unpleasantness at best has left her with, does not last long for Franz when he says that he will face whatever the day brings, Elika winces when Lily's conversation with Crystal takes a turn for the worse, concluding with Crystal stepping outside. After debating the merits of leaving Crystal alone rather than intruding upon the solitude her departure suggests she would prefer, Elika sets her caf down and smiles as she lifts a finger while meeting Franz's eye to silently convey to him that she will return shortly so that they can set out for her office.
"I'll talk to her," Elika tells Lily quietly, patting her shoulder gently as she passes by on her way to the doors leading out into the pool and garden area.
Once outside, Elika walks over to where Crystal is standing, not saying anything at first, and instead simply puts an arm around her friend's shoulder to give her a comforting squeeze. Knowing that she already may be making things worse for her friend, Elika gives her the chance to rectify that situation by asking quietly, "You want to talk hon', or to just be left alone for now?"
