Still uncertain of what was going on, Franz kept looking at Elika, at least focusing on what she was telling him, on her replies to his question. Thankfully the matter of the garden being everyone's favorite spot put somewhat his being at ease. He couldn't precisely explain why, but maybe it was just her overall demeanor that put him at ease. As truthfully, if she had asked him what was going on, he would actually be drawing a blank and would make the whole explanation confusing. Though it would all fall down to him telling her that there was something that was wrong back in the City.
Just as he was about to do what he was asked to do, that was to find Lily and Ryan, that was if they weren't occupied, he heard a familiar voice which belonged to Lily, but it wasn't her usual tone. What he knew about her, usually she would have a witty greeting, but not right now, and not this evening, which was somewhat perplexing but then he only had to look at her feature to see there was something wrong. Preferring to stay mute as he didn't really want to say anything that would be a bad thing, Franz smiled slightly as a greeting and inclined his head before picking up the rest and stopping to where that button was to push it, and thus clearing the mist outside.
Stepping into the garden and placing the still covered food by the fire pit. Franz found a lighter nearby and ignited the fire there in the middle, after making sure that everything was safe. He was mildly paying attention to the interaction occurring between Elika and Lily when he felt heard his commlink. Frowning and picking it up, it was Ayla telling him that they were heading to the couple's residence as there currently was a grave situation occurring there which implied the Jedi, Rangers, and officers of the law.
Looking at both Elika and Lily, Franz's facial expression changed, it turned serious and grave. With a confident and self assured voice, which wasn't one he usually used with them, he spoke. "I have to go, there is a situation back in the City, and I need to assist over there. I am sorry for doing this now." Franz turned around and quickly sprinted out of the place to get into his airspeeder to join Ayla, and he had no doubt actually that both Mace, and Atlantis would also be there...

Even though it takes only a glance to tell that Lily has probably not had the best of days, Elikapeka manages a warm smile that betrays none of the concern for her friend that is, in any event, readily apparent in her eyes and the furrow of her brow given that Elika has never quite mastered the fine art of entirely concealing what she is feeling, either her tone or expression nearly always making what she is feeling abundantly clear, especially for those who know her well. "Well, Elika says as she overcomes her general discomfort with physical contact and with being the one to initiate it when doing so requires assuming that she will not be making Lily more uncomfortable by doing so, and gives Lily a hug, It's a good thing that I remembered what you didn't remember, isn't it? Looking comically concerned, intentionally playing up her worry that Franz might not be happy with her taking all the credit for having thought to bring food and beverages with them to try and add a dash of amusement to the moment, Elika quickly amends her statement, Well, it was more Franz that remembered, so he's really the one to thank for the remembering."
Determining from Lily's overall demeanor and request for happy that now is not the best time to ask her friend what had happened while she and Franz were away, Elika nods and smiles as she says, "We had a good day, and tugs at her right sleeve as she, being Elika, worries that saying she and Franz had a good day might seem callous or worse, while stammering a bit, Well, I . . . I mean it wasn't, you know, great, but more . . . productive, maybe? Cringing a little as she recalls that Lily wanted happy, not a tour of Elika's neuroses, Elika does her best to salvage the moment, pointing at Franz as though to enlist his aid as she cheerfully announces, Oh! We saw a private island! Nodding, feeling as though she is salvaging the earlier misstep, Elika explains, I've been hired to design a vacation home for it. The island is really amazing, beautiful really. So, there was that, she concludes, and then adds, Oh, and we got to go on one of those private luxury yachts too? Very fancy," she concludes with another set of nods while checking Lily's expression to see if she succeeded in bringing the happy.
Unfortunately for Elika and Lily, Franz announces shortly after Elika says fancy that there is a situation in the city requiring his assistance, and Elika can no longer keep up the pretense of cheerfullness she had been trying to maintain for Lily's benefit. Whatever the situation is must, Elika thinks, be serious indeed if Franz has been asked to abandon the, in her opinion, ridiculous post as her bodyguard that he had been given, and so she cannot help but look and sound as concerned as she feels as she asks, "What's hap. . . Waving a hand as she is not only used to the way that Franz and the other members of the Mist Order play things very close to the chest, but also able to discern from Franz's demeanor that there is a great deal of urgency involved in whatever is going on, Elika says, You don't have to apologize, and then gives him a quick, worried hug before telling him, Just be careful, alright?"
Crossing her arms over her chest and rubbing her biceps as though cold, Elika turns to Lily after Franz has left and forces a smile as, shooting for cheerful but sounding as worried as she feels, she asks, "Wine? I think I could use a glass right about now, how about you?"

Lakehouse - Garden
I have always appreciated Gorgeous, and I have always appreciated her willingness to try and make me feel better when I am down, like right now. I just love her period, and I am always interested in her stories. Such as her visiting an island and being on a fancy private luxury yacht, which makes me look at her dubiously and in amusement, as I am about to ask her who is the lucky client she is going to work for, something stops me. Something is up, Pookie doesn't look like himself ... I am certain that he isn't willing to go into the situation that is calling for attention, his entire being screams urgency, but I just can't help myself and look at him with narrowed eyes. Even as Gorgeous hugs him and tells him to be careful, I am still looking at his departing figure.
"Something in the city ... I repeat rhetorically with narrowed eyes, before looking around to try and find my datapad to see if there is something on the news, or just an alert, or something. But I soon give up as I remember that my datapad is dead anyways, and I just end up looking at Gorgeous with a faint smile. Wine sounds perfect, babe, although for my case, I am going to eat first, otherwise I might hurl ... Looking straight at my empty whiskey glass that has been sitting there on the table, I finally take a deep breath as I close my eyes trying to just bury some of the things that I have come to find out. Actually, two bottles, or even three, of wine would be perfect. I'll go get them." Without any further explanation for now, I pick up that glass that I have used to bring back inside to trade that for two bottles of Alderaani wine and return to the recess area to join up Gorgeous and pour her some wine into her glass.
"Before you ask me what is wrong, Gorgeous, and believe me I do want to tell you right about now what is wrong with me, and why I look like utter shit currently. Gesturing at my entire face, I know she'll understand, and I also know that unlike myself, Elika usually doesn't point out the obvious, I do. I rarely have no filter, and today is not the day to have one quite honestly. I am already promising you that you will eventually find out, but I'd rather wait first for Baby Girl to get home, as this is more about her and her family, and why Ares came here." I am quite aware that a lot of what I have said is confusing, and I am quite aware that it doesn't make much sense, but truthfully, while I am affected by that whole ordeal because I am dating Ryan, I am just not the one whose life is on the line because of a damn stupid curse, deal, whatever.

Crystal was currently focused on her datapad, reading about not only Atlantis' message but also the notice she had received from the Intelligence Department to stay away from a certain area of the City. Paired to that she had felt Franz pass above in an airspeeder as she was walking back home... Checking another window hoping for a certain notification, Crystal found none which caused her to close her eyes briefly.
Finally stepping into her home she shared with two of her close friends, Crystal walked straight to her room to toss her bag there, all the while she focused on her surroundings. She could let her guard down here, this was her safe haven and honestly she was glad to have this space moreover, she was glad to be sharing this place with people she loved, and she hoped that will go for a very long time. Smiling briefly as she knew that her brother, at least the youngest one was here, she also felt that Lily and Elika were both home. Knowing that she couldn't put this off any longer from one of her friends, Lily already knew, Crystal was certain Ryan would have told her already, Crystal finally decided to join her friends who currently where in the garden.
Overhearing the last part of Lily's sentence, Crystal frowned not against what her childhood friend said but to what that sentence entailed. Crystal just wasn't accepting with the entire situation. "Hi, you two." Crystal greeted them, and like Lily, Crystal had barely slept, she had eyebags, nothing a concealer didn't hide, but if she did remove her face, it would be perceivable. Looking around briefly and noticing that indeed Franz wasn't around, she was right then, he was the one she had felt...
Taking a seat there by the fire pit, facing both of her friends, Crystal smiled briefly and looked around as if she was seeing it for the first time, or maybe it was just to capture this peaceful atmosphere, and to remember it. Preferring to face the music now, and at least be honest with one of the people she had come to appreciate and just loved having as a friend, Crystal looked at Elika and smiled faintly. In reassurance? For her benefit? Honestly, Crystal didn't know, all she knew was she appreciated these moments. Maybe it had something to do with the millaflowers. Maybe...
But before she went into what was troubling her, and by extension Lily, Crystal looked at both of her friends thoughtfully. "Before I start dropping a bomb about myself, and my family, and just like Lily, I promise to explain what occurred here, and why Ares came, sweetie," Her gaze was more turned onto Elika, she was apologetic, but at the same time, Crystal had to prioritize, and she always did that. What was happening in the city had more immediate consequences. "Atlantis messaged me, asking me to leave the city, and quickly, because the investigative team was on their way to arrest Lyov, and Helaine for the crimes they have been pinning on Andros." Gritting her teeth at that, Crystal was glad in a way that the guilty ones had been uncovered but at the same time she was annoyed at the whole thing, how they passed as philanthropists, but to what end? That?
"But something, or a lot of things went wrong, which is the reason why I am guessing, the Mist Order is headed there to assist Serrin, and whomever else..." Not really inclined to try and figure out what was going on, and what really was going down there, Crystal just took one of the glasses and poured herself something to drink, which was wine.

Elikapeka laughs when Lily, while promising to explain why she looks so distraught, says that she looks terrible, assuring her with a hug, "You're not capable of looking anything other than absolutely beautiful, beautiful. Sitting after Lily has poured wine for them both, Elika stands again when Crystal arrives, telling her, Hi, hon'." Confusion joining the concern for Crystal that had risen when her friend says that she will explain what brought Ares to Umgul before informing them what Atlantis had messaged about Lyov and Helaine, Elika has to sit down before she can speak, stunned to learn that she and Franz had spent most of the day in the company of one of the beings responsible for the crimes which had initially been attributed to Andros.
Shaking her head as it sinks in that she and Franz may very well have been in great danger even though nothing had happened while they were with Helaine, Elika stammers as she tries to explain, "Franz and I . . . we were with . . . taking a breath before continuing, Elika does her best to keep her anxiety from mounting past the point she can control it, tugging at her right sleeve as she says, Helaine was the client we were with today. I can't beli . . . Reaching up to remove her spectacles, Elika rubs her temples, her thumbs keeping her sleeves from riding down as she tries to order her thoughts, worry for Atlantis and the others moving to the forefront of her thoughts along with the helplessness she often feels as a mere civilian when her friends are in danger. Realizing that Crystal and Lily will be worried for Atlantis and the others as well, Crystal perhaps moreso given her relationship with Atlantis, Elika walks over to Crystal, rubbing her back comfortingly as she does her best to sound reassuring as she says, I'm sure Atlantis and the others will be fine, hon'."

Usually, I have a witty answer there, and usually I would retort what Gorgeous has just said, Then again, I am still my worse critic, I do feel and look like shit, and that won't change. Even with Gorgeous' reassurances, I only end up smiling and pouting my lips in her direction as a kiss to tell her that I am thankful at least, and appreciative. I am sure she'll understand. Soon enough Baby Girl joins us, and I just end up waving in her direction, actually I am just waving my fingertips as I take a sip of my wine.
Oh those ... Many expletive expressions cross my minds, a lot of insults that actually wouldn't be suited for sensitive ears but I end up lowering my glass and shake my head before making a disgusted face. "Lovely ... Ironic voice paired with annoyance, before I furrow my eyebrows focusing on Gorgeous as she reveals to us that her client, who I assume is one of the owners of the luxury yacht she has been telling me about is actually that plastic Zeltron, two faced ... Thankfully she didn't try anything while you and Franz were with her, but then again, maybe she was going for the long game ..." From memories, and experience, those are often those type of people's MO, and I have personally come to know one of them, rubbing shoulders with others and then backstabbing when the occasion arises ... Oh yeah ... A certain Derak is good at that but he is one of the name's that I won't even speak out loud as that man actually makes my blood boil.
Taking a deep relaxing breath, or at least I try to, I end up looking at Crystal before glancing at Elika, nodding in agreement. "I am sure that indeed Lover Boy will be fine, sweetie ... Although I can't help but to wonder maybe something else will be troubling him, though I do trust him to know what he is doing there, as I am perfectly unaware to what has been going through his mind ever since he found out ... And like you have told me, time and time again, he is good at compartmentalizing, so he won't go there if his mind is clouded with ... You know."

Arching her eyebrow dubiously when Elika mentioned that she had been with Helaine today, with Franz; Crystal was thankful that nothing did happen there. Though judging from Elika's expression, she truly did not see this coming, and that was what she loved about her friend. Seeing the good side in all things, and even people. "Hey..." Crystal began to say softly and reassuringly before shaking her head with a faint smile. "You couldn't have known, or at least," After all, she did recall Atlantis somewhat issuing a warning to Elika, to all of them as a matter of fact, to not stay too long in Helaine's vicinity. "You kept trying to see the good in people, even if she," Obviously she meant Helaine here, who else? "Wasn't someone I could come to connect and relate with, with all of her mannerisms and the persona she kept using whenever we saw her. But like I have said you try to see the good in people, which makes you a better person than me." Crystal smiled faintly, and warmly as she spoke those genuine words.
Taking a sip of her wine and she pointed at her childhood friend as with her holding glass, Crystal turned to look at Elika closing her eyes briefly, feeling comforted and reassured in a way that indeed Atlantis would be alright, just like the rest, at least she was hoping that was the case. Opening her mouth to reply to Elika but then closing her mouth soon after as she listened to Lily talk, Crystal took a deep breath and groaned faintly. "I know, or at least I hope so..." Sighing softly and resting her head on Elika's shoulder, Crystal closed her eyes still somewhat feeling reassured by Elika's gesture on her back...
"Sweetpea?" Crystal called out softly as she sat back up and looking at Elika with a frown. "Tell me, what do you know about the Zhell? Or more commonly referred as the Battalions of Zhell?" She asked just out of the blue like that, but she figured she had to start somewhere, and this was a good starting point, even if actually she wasn't sure if she had to go on with what was currently transpiring right now in the city. Soon enough though while she waited for a reply, Crystal felt Atlantis clear as day, and that only meant that he was straining himself in the use of the Force, for usually his signature was hidden except when he was here at home. Focusing onto his signature and then feeling nearby another familiar signature, Crystal couldn't help but to smile faintly. She was somewhat reassured indeed that they would be alright. Especially now that she was certain that the ones she knew, and trusted, as after all Ayla did train her briefly in fostering her abilities, Crystal knew that they would always do everything in their power to keep each other safe.
Looking back at Elika soon after and tilting her head slightly aside, Crystal took a deep breath and explained more. "Dad's line started there, and there is an untold story, on how that war was won millenia's ago..." She still wasn't sure how to break the news, and she quite frankly didn't know if she could break the news just like that, if she spoke it out loud, it was as if she indeed accepted that and believed, but she couldn't believe that at all. Like she couldn't believe that it was stuck in that vicious circle. It wasn't something she had asked for, she didn't want it. But she had promised, she had promised to Elika to tell her the reason why Ares came here, and was still here up to this day, and also why she was adamant in getting a hold of her dad...

Clearly not much comforted by Crystal's words about seeing the good in others, Elikapeka manages an unconvincing smile all the same, seeing little point in debating the merits of what, to her, seems more like a dangerous naivete than anything else in the light of everything that they now know about Helaine and Lyov. Arching an eyebrow, perplexed by the change in subject when Crystal speaks after addressing Lily, Elika admits, "I don't know much about the Battalions of Zhell, no, hon'. Well, she furrows her brow after a brief pause, her brief foray into the study of universal history having left her with some knowledge of the subject that surfaces in her memory now, nothing too in depth other than what is commonly known any way. I know that the Thirteen Nations of Zhell combined their military forces to challenge the Taung for control of Coruscant, and that they ultimately won."
Fidgeting with her spectacles, cleaning the lenses and examining them only to compulsively clean then anew over and over, Elika considers what Crystal had said about an untold story concerning her father and the Battalions of Zhell, wondering why the subject had come up and if, having brought it up, Crystal plans on delving into the subject beyond the revelation she has shared concerning the untold story. Assuming that Crystal's mention of the topic implies that she has more to say on the subject, Elika asks in a tone that makes it clear she has no intention to press the matter if Crystal has said all that she is prepared to say at the moment, "Why did you ask about what I knew, hon'? Does it have something to do with why your family came here to Umgul now?"

This is a topic I am already aware of, and it's something where I actually prefer to stay mute on. Shocker for most no doubt, I usually have something to say but right now, nope, just no ... Instead, I just reach over to grab that cigarette pack that has been sitting there since earlier and light one up after taking a sip of my wine. The whole time I stare gravely to both Crystal and Elika because quite frankly, the next part isn't something that anyone close to those people want to hear. It's not something I want to hear again, and I still keep hearing it from Ryan, and it still brings that same plethora of emotions.
The only indication I can give to Gorgeous in reply to that last question of hers, is a nod but I am sure that there is something more in my expression that will give it all away that there is more to it than just that story about the Battalion of Zhell and the Taungs. "It's so much more than that ... So much more." Closing my eyes momentarily knowing that I have broken my own rule to stay mute, I end up taking a deep breath soon enough before looking at Baby Girl.
"You need to tell her, please, Crystal." It's with a begging tone that I address myself to her, and while I do know that in Crystal's position this is complicated to break the news, and it is tough to say it, Oh shit, curse, deaths, one living to carry on and try to prepare the rest. Lovely ... Stopping my thoughts there before I go any more crazy than I already am. Taking a deep breath and a hit of my cig, I finally lean back and close my eyes once more awaiting for the verdict. I have never been more scared my entire life about all of this. Losing people I care about, people I love ... This day is just ... No words could actually describe it, and how horrible it is.

Crystal stayed mute the whole time listening to what Elika knew, of course that was the only thing that was known through the ages, anyways. That was the only thing that had been officially transcribed. Looking at her childhood friend blankly, only briefly, when Lily begged her to tell Elika everything, Crystal knew that she had to, after all she had made that promise to herself to not do what her dad, even potentially her mom, had been doing this whole time, being evasive, and avoiding all sort of talks about this to the point that everything was kept a secret... She had to stop following those footsteps.
Taking a deep breath and massaging her temples slightly as if she was trying to order her thoughts or at least find a magical way on where to start, Crystal looked at Elika. "I asked because, to answer your question, yes, it's one of the reasons why Ares came here. To warn me, and Ryan about what you only know, like all of us only have known. Thirteen Battalions of Zhell, yaddaa yaddaa... Until recently." Crystal might or probably wasn't making much sense but she would try. "You see my dad's family, at least the Solaris bloodline led one of those nations, and it wasn't just my bloodline, it turns out it was also two other families that we all know that led two other nations. The Drake and the Jade." Crystal paused a moment to let that flow of information sink in, at least for Elika's benefit, as she was certain anyways she wasn't teaching Lily anything new.
"Apparently, during that conflict against the Taungs, my family, the Drake, and the Jade struck a deal, and if there was any more families involved, I don't know, but those are the only families insofar that had been passing the torch from one generation to another." Pausing a moment, and perhaps she was stalling, but at the same time she was feeling parched as talking about this whole ordeal, at least out loud, was still tough for her. "Turns out we are supposed to protect that power that was wielded by our ancestors, and now because of some twisted fate, because currently my dad, even my mom or my brothers' mom are still alive, myself or my brothers might not live happily ever after, or at least we won't see our future potential kids grow old. Parents are taken away too early from their children." Sighing at that absurdity or how twisted that curse was, because that was how Ares had put it, a curse, which didn't make it a lie, at least she knew her brother wouldn't lie about this, it didn't mean it wasn't tough to bate.
Leaning back against her seat, and just exhausted by this whole thing really, Crystal had no idea what to say further or currently didn't know what to do. "If you are confused, I wouldn't blame you sweetie, I was very confused too, but it doesn't change the fact that we are stuck in this loophole, and where do I want to go from here, knowing that if and this is a big if, I get pregnant, I pass this down to my kid... Or even Lily there if she gets pregnant from my brother." Putting her knees up and wrapping her arms around her legs, Crystal rested her forehead on her knees still not entirely sure how to process this whole thing.

Elikapeka offers Crystal a forced smile when her friend says that it would not be surprising for Elika to be confused by all that has been said, the smile suggesting that Elika is indeed feeling every bit as confused by all she has heard as one might expect given that, for most beings in the universe, curses are things from holovids or novels, not something those close to you find themselves dealing with.
Putting her arm around Crystal's shoulders and hugging her, Elika says the only thing that she can think of in response to what Crystal has shared, "I'm so sorry, hon'. I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through, but I do know one thing for sure, she looks over at Lily and reaches out with her free hand to take her hand, and that is that you are not ever going to have to face anything alone, okay? Squeezing Lily's hand, Elika summons a confident grin and tone of voice as she assures Crytsal, You've got us, and even manages a joke, You're stuck with us."
Rubbing Crystal's back, Elika asks in a somewhat hesitant tone suggesting that she is well aware that her question is one that Crystal or someone else has already asked and explored, "Isn't there usually a way to break a curse? I mean, is that something anyone has looked into, a way to lift or remove the curse?"

Hearing this story again, told by Baby Girl, doesn't make it any less painful, heart clenching. I mean, yes, I do want kids! But I am not that selfish to let my kid live through that, especially if I do get pregnant at some point with the current love of my life. Because, yes ... There is that realization that indeed I do love Ryan Solaris. "Oh God ... Covering my mouth quickly with my free hand after Gorgeous squeezes my other hand, I look at my two friends that I love. I end up squeezing Elika's hand in return and incline my head slightly. You are indeed stuck with us, Baby Girl, and even your brother is stuck with me until he says otherwise ... Closing my eyes and smiling at the same time, feeling more confident about everything. I do love him, and there is no way I am going to walk away from him, or from you."
Leaning back against my seat and releasing Gorgeous' hand soon enough, I end up scooting over for a group hug because why the heck not! "We are all going to fight this, and try to find a way to break that stupid thing, your family and the others have paid enough. That happened a long time ago, why should still be go on? It is unfair, and it's enough. Stronger together, and I am sure that if we do pull all of my resources, then perhaps we can find a way? Looking at Baby Girl thoughtfully as I release both of my friends, I end up taking a deep breath as I recall that indeed Crystal has been trying to get a hold of her dad. Keep trying to contact your dad, I am sure that he still manages to listen to your messages, like my own brother does. Smiling knowingly, and indeed revealing to Gorgeous at least that I do have brother, Baby Girl already knows, I focus my attention onto Elika longer than necessary before looking at them both equally. Commed him, I didn't get to speak with him, but I know that he'll eventually hear my message ..."

Crystal was glad to have her friends by her side, she was glad to have supportive friends who no matter what, despite everything always managed to lift up her spirits. It meant a lot to her. Looking at Elika with a faint, yet warm smile, Crystal rested her head against her friend before glancing at Lily with an amused expression. "At least, you admitting your feelings about Ryan didn't take too long compared to someone we both know." Crystal still did have fond memories of her time back in Coruscant, and she still remembered that particular someone, one of their common friends, who everyone kept saying that she and Lily could both be twins, who always seemed to skirt a certain subject about her own feelings.
Although back to the present, Crystal focused on the matter at hand, and nodded slightly. "Maybe, sweetie." It was the only and best answer she could give to Elika and the question she had just asked. "According to Ares who apparently had spoken to dad a while ago, it was being looked into, at least someone was diligently." Taking a deep breath, she realized a few things, one she had not mentioned the person's name, two, she was starting to sound more and more like the Jedi here, secretive in a large way. Snapping out of it, Crystal looked at both Lily and Elika. "Mace was, or apparently is. Now I understand why we do not see her that often..." Frowning at the thought, and quite frankly not really understanding what her whole connection to this case was, Crystal knew that she still had to at least have a moment to talk with her and her dad hopefully.
"That is the only thing that I have been doing these last few days, even months. Leaving messages for dad, but the wait is grating, so you know." Crystal shrugged slightly knowing that they would both understand. Sure she could be very patient but when it came to this type of situation, she wanted answers, she needed answers. Crystal was about to ask about Lily's brother and the last time her childhood friend had actually heard from him but something stopped her, all of a sudden she felt something. Frowning at that discernible feeling, she knew that it came from her boyfriend, Crystal placed her hand on her heart.
"Atlantis..." Crystal called out his name softly and closed her eyes to get a sense of what was going on. She followed the current of the Force, connected to it to try to understand what was going on. She couldn't exactly tell what was going on, of course not, she wasn't advance in sensing everything, and she didn't really know what to look for. All she knew was that everything in that spot was surrounded by loss and deaths but also anger... Finally opening her eyes and looking at both of her friends, Crystal had a saddened expression. "He was briefly in emotional pain; but now I feel nothing from him." Not only because she knew that he had a crystal that hid his signature, but she also knew that he always managed to reign in his emotions. "I know that he is fine, but I can also say that something has gone awfully wrong back in the City..."

Elikapeka nods with a determined expression when Lily tells Crystal that they will all do everything that they can to try and find a way to break the curse they have just learned of, unsure of exactly what help she might be able to provide, yet committed fully to learning what she can in order to do so for their friend. Crystal's gentle ribbing of Lily about admitting her feelings about Ryan provides a welcome bit of humor, and Elika is able to take some small bit of comfort from the fact that Crystal knows from Ares that research into how the curse might be broken has already begun.
The momentary break from care and worry, however, proves all too short lived; Crystal informing her and Lily moments later that she had felt Atlantis experiencing emotional pain, and that, while he himself was fine, something had gone wrong in the city. Telling her friends to wait, Elika excuses herself to go into the house, where, with shaking hands and a sense of foreboding building within her, she roots through her backpack purse for her datapad to see if the holonews can fill in some of the blanks left by Crystal's account of what she had sensed. Sitting between Lily and Crystal after returning with the datapad, Elika finds a holonews network with a reputation for accurate and fair reporting and holds the screen so that all of them can watch the report in progress, accompanied by a scroll of repeating information at the bottom of the screen detailing what has been confirmed so far about the arrest attempt. Covering her mouth when the reporter states that it has been confirmed that several UPD SWAT officers, an unconfirmed number of Jedi, and one detective were killed in the line of duty, along with one of the suspects they had been sent to take into custody, Elika squeezes Crystal's hand in relief when the report concludes with the information that footage taken from a safe distance from the suspect's residence confirms that Atlantis and Mace were both seen entering the residence after the fighting had concluded. Even though Crystal had assured them that Atlantis was fine, and she knows it is foolish, Elika feels doubly reassured upon hearing it reported on the holonews; though it does little to quell her worry for him to know that the emotional pain Crystal had sensed coming from his is no doubt due to the deaths of the Jedi the reporter had mentioned.
Shutting the holonews off after it begins to repeat the bits and pieces of information that have been made available to the press, Elika is speechless for a moment before, shaking her head as though to clear it, asking her friends while beginning to tug compulsively at her sleeves as her anxiety continues to mount, especially when she selfishly finds herself hoping that the Jedi that were killed were not any of her friends in the Mist Order, "Should we go to the precinct, or, I don't know, the academy? Turning to Crystal, she clasps her hands gently and, thinking of the turmoil Atlantis must feel in the wake of the deaths of the Jedi that have not yet been identified in the media, says, I'm sure he needs you, after what you felt."

Not usually one to retort when I know it is a lost cause, I simply nod at Baby Girl after she has voiced out that she has been trying to contact her dad for a while now, Which I actually know, for I have been overhearing some of her messages, And ending up leaving messages when she couldn't quite get a hold of him. Nonetheless I was about to tell her something good, something positive even, when something stops me, the change in Crystal's expression. That can only indicate that something is happening, and that can only be felt by those who are attuned to the Force.
All I know is that he and the Mist Order, at least some if not most are trying to assist those who came here to help clear the brothers' names ... But, Looking at Gorgeous as she ups and leaves, but also come back soon enough, I scoot closer to watch with them the current report, or what is happening in the City, pertaining the arrest of Lyov and Helaine. "This day, really ... Rubbing my face trying to think, and trying to at least logically find an explanation on why baby girl has felt what she had felt from Lover Boy, I am starting to draw a blank until I recall that news report talking about an unconfirmed number of Jedi have been killed. Think, think, think ... THE POOL PARTY! My eyes pop wide open as I remember who Atlantis have been speaking to mainly. I think we should go to the Academy, instead of the precinct. I voice out thoughtfully before looking at both Crystal and Elika. I know how it will go in the precinct and they won't be wanting anything distraction, and if I am correct the Academy is where the answers will come more fluidly and easily. The precinct will be filled with reporters wanting to have those answers, and not to mention that they'll have to get the depositions."
Smiling slightly, not that my smile was any indication that says that everything is alright, and that there is something to cheer about, it's really a contrite smile more than anything. "I also do believe that is where Atlantis and the others will want to bring their fallen comrades, in the Academy, and keep that away from prying eyes ..."

Nodding slightly when Elika indicated that she'd return, Crystal closed her eyes once again to focus once again on the happenings around the City. She didn't get lucky though as there were still some very overwhelming feelings around that area and so she resorted herself to pay close attention to the news when Elika returned with her datapad. Focusing on the information that was being relayed, Crystal was glad to see a footage of Atlantis and Mace but at the same time, her eyes were moving around the screen to catch more familiar faces, especially when it was reported that some Jedi had lost their lives too, as well as some officers.
"Oh God..." Covering her mouth soon after her statement as something did dawn on her indeed, Crystal lowered her hand and looked at both of her friends with a saddened expression. "Master Roma," Crystal started to say before closing her eyes briefly and trying very hard to at least sense her and be proved wrong. But everything deep down on her said that she was making the correct assumption. Shaking her head finally and looking at both Elika and Lily, Crystal carried on with what she had started to say. "I think that Serrin is one of the many casualties, and Atlantis held a great deal of respect for her."
And so did she, after all Serrin had been one of the first people that had taught her some of the ropes when she had first realized she could control the Force, and then there was Broken Gate too... "Lily is right, we should head to the Academy, and not the precinct, I, for one, wouldn't know how to stomach all of those emotions happening there, I already had a hard time with Atlantis'..." Crystal admitted softly as she stood up from her seat. "I'll comm a hovertaxi, unless you two prefer to go there on foot?" She knew that this wasn't the time or place to have a small break down, at least she knew she couldn't even though she was also affected by that loss, but not as much at Atlantis, and she had to be there for him...

Elikapeka is about to agree with Lily's suggestion that they make their way to the Mist Order's academy rather than to the precinct when Crystal speaks, telling that she thinks that Master Roma is among the fallen. While Elika did not know Master Roma as well as Crystal, Atlantis, and the other members of the Mist Order, she still feels saddened at the thought of so gentle and kind an individual dying in battle, and to think that her friends have lost someone dear to them all. Her right hand goes to clasp the pendant of Shiraya she wears, and Elika silently says the prayer to the ancient moon goddess of Naboo, asking that Master Roma finds her way peacefully to the realm that lays beyond mortal existence, for those that worship Shiraya believe, not entirely unlike the Jedi, that death is not an ending, but a transition. Elika also knows that believing that the dead are not truly ever gone, and have only moved on to another state of being is not often a salve for the grief and loss felt when someone passes on, and so naturally is concerned about Atlantis, Crystal and the others who were close to Master Roma.
"I'm so sorry, hon', Elika tells Crystal, hugging her gently for a moment before she says, I think you're both right, we should go to the academy. I think you're right, that is where they would take her. Standing as, setting her own feelings to a side so that she can be there for her friends, she takes her datapad and begins arranging for an airtaxi to come and take them to the academy, Elika continues, We can get there more quickly in an airtaxi, holding a hand up before Crystal can protest, I'll handle that, I am handling it now, so you just get ready. After she has completed the arrangement of the airtaxi, Elika tugs compulsively at her sleeves as she frowns in thought, worried that there is something else she should be thinking of that needs to be done, and asks Crystal, Is there, I don't know, anything we should bring for Atlantis or the others?"

This day just gets better and better ... I cannot help but to think sarcastically. One thing that I am actually glad about, and am thankful about is that Baby Girl has managed to control not hearing my thoughts. She really wouldn't want that, not with everything that she is going through. Especially now as she voices out who might have fallen ... While I have never been close to the Twilek Jedi, I can't help but to feel really down for I know that she has helped Baby Girl for a little while back then after it has been obvious that Crystal could also control the Force. "I am sorry sweet pea, I can't even fathom how you must be feeling right now ..."
I truly can't and I also know that right now, no words would do it justice, and all I know also is that she needs to go find her man, to go see him. I can't even start to fathom how they both are feeling right now. "Airtaxi is good I start to reply, for clearly like Gorgeous has said not only it is quicker but also I don't see any of us being in the mood to walk over there. I'll just grab some stuff, and I'll warn your brother or leave him a note about where we are."
Heading back inside and straight to my room, I notice that Ryan is definitely out but I wonder for how long. Surely something would get him up, if he manages to feel those mixed emotions, especially his sister's, or his cousins'. But what do I know, all I know is that he also has been needing shut eye for relatively not getting any these last couple of days. Scribbling a note and placing it onto my pillow, I finally turn quietly to change quickly into a more comfortable and somber clothes before heading back out of my room with a duffel bag, that has a few clothes already, if needed. "If you want to bring some clothes for your man and the others, you can toss them in here."

Deep in thought, saddened by that realization, Crystal was currently at a loss for words especially when Elika hugged her, she returned the hug immediately but she still had no idea what to say but "Thanks, sweetie." Which came in a soft whisper until she took a deep breath. Still that deep breath of hers that would actually try to appease her senses, it didn't do anything especially when she felt that emotional jab which caused her to close her eyes wincing at the emotions pouring from Atlantis.
Finally looking at Lily who was now holding a bag, Crystal looked at her and shook her head before turning her attention onto Elika. "Knowing Atlantis, he'll want nothing at all, and I know he has some clothes there..." Smiling slightly at her childhood friend and nodding as a thanks for the kind attention, Crystal just looked at both of her friends and blinked slowly. "We should start heading there. Our presence will be enough, that much I know."
Even if she knew not much will be said, at least from Atlantis. He and she were the same in that respect, and while she knew that it was never a good idea to bottle things up, she, just like Atlantis, found different ways to externalize their toxic emotions. Punching bag for her, and him was to train as well. "We should wait at the front gate for the airtaxi." In a lot of ways, suddenly she was exhausted, not physically but mentally. So many things had happened at once, and she still couldn't believe how everything just unraveled quickly these last few days.

Elikapeka did not know Master Roma as well as Crystal, Atlantis and the other members of the Mist Order, but she mourns her passing all the same. Moving on, in the weeks that follow, feels almost like a betrayal, though it is a familiar sense of betrayal to Elika, who has lost others in her life, and one that she knows that, though it will never entirely leave her, will eventually become more bearable, less pervasive.
Her work and her art, often linked as fate would have it, have always been a haven for Elika, and it proves to be so once more; offering an alternative focal point to grief that she willingly succumbs to, losing herself at first in work related projects that obligation demands she turn her attention to, and, later, in artistic endeavors - vioflute pieces, sketches, paintings - that offer outlets to grief that enable her to work through and process her emotions, if only gradually. Introverted by nature, Elika knows that she initially withdraws from those closest to her, though she tries as best as she can to be there for Crystal, Atlantis and the others when they reach out to her.
One of the projects that offered her some relief had been the renovation of Crystal's workout room, and after designing what she felt would be a comfortable, and as Crystal had proven to be somewhat harder on the previous space than most beings would be, more durable space for her friend, Elika had hired contractors to make the renovations - which included durasteel laced walls and floors to ensure that the space could withstand anything that Crystal might throw at it - and electricians to install the lighting and holoprojectors that were an integral part of her design, enabling Crystal to make the space appear like environments ranging from tranquil gardens to lakes, forests, mountains or deserts so that the workout area could also serve as a meditation space. Once the renovations had been completed, Elika had looked after the decoration personally, and only when she was satisfied with the results, had she seen to the delivery of the equipment that would complete the work.
Walking around the finished room, completed under as strict an amount of secrecy as possible so that the completed room would be a surprise for Crystal, Elika, as critical of her work as ever, frowns and wonders whether she ought to have some plants or other decorative elements added before considering the project complete. Rubbing her left temple, Elika reluctantly decides that the space better serves its purpose free from unnecessary clutter, especially when the holoprojectors will enable Crystal to pick whatever type of scenery she might want, and sighs as, both proud of her work and anxious about how Crystal might react when seeing it for the first time, she heads for her studio to tackle the renovation of a city courthouse that she was recently assigned.
