Being in the lab was like something out of a surreal memory. Standing across from the chamber as it reacted to his invasion. As the being within shuddered internally and reflected the damage that Ariela was doing to it's systems. And yet, as he watched, he felt nothing. The void once filled by the pleasure in his work now empty and transparent, unable to be filled with any semblance of solid in a way that should have left him like a statue of ice before the prone, captivated audience. Even as he watched, letting the machine sputter and react as it did, he continued to ponder what he would say, how he would react. Giving the time the machine required to recuperate itself while he watched with an almost unsurmountable polar opposite of awe. He cared not for the girl trapped within the Array, nor did he care for the mission that had been set under way to rescue her. But it was that very reasoning that he twisted about in his favor in his own mind as he knew that she was also the very reason he was in that room to begin with. As if the hypocrisy of his own mind were the nature of his will, and that that will had brought him here against his own volition. Standing at point, waiting for what words might escape the girl's mouth as her prison was set upon the floor, he could feel nothing but a mild curiosity fill him while his eyes held to the viciously frail body was revealed to him from within the fluid that had previously supported her vitality.
Kneeling down, and bringing his organic close to the capsule, he examined the results of the machine's work. The layout and prognosis playing out in his mind through the com link in his ear, he could not help but be curious about the way the machine managed to sustain it's neural and psychic connection to the woman who appeared almost bereft of life. Poor and unfortunate were the words he gathered in reference to the woman who lay before him. And even as she spoke he could feel no remorse for the results that had been set upon her by his forceful removal of her from the system that was partially controlling her. Pressing his hand to the capsule's glassy wall, allowing the emotions and energies to enter him through the Force, he flooded his mind and core with the pain, anger, frustration, fear and confusion that had consumed the woman during the duration of her time within the facility. It was an action that portrayed his unwillingness to dare a touch to her skin, though he knew it would have granted him a far better insight. It was the power of sight that had made her valuable, and it was that very same ability that left him mildly hesitant in the nature that she could as easily reveal to him something he wished not to see and beset his progress.
::Remote access granted. Wireless control augmented and optimized to local limb implant. Preparing for exit protocol.:: The voice echoed again, more clearly for the woman to hear as she coughed and gasped for air. However, this time it was more urgent and much more definite it it's finality. He had gathered everything he needed about the machine, everything he needed about the thoughts and visions that had been drawn out of the woman by the machine. What remained was to claim the woman that lay within the machine and, despite all he had said to those he accompanied, leave all of this ridiculous farce behind. He had not chosen this mission for the companionship or compassion that others thought him capable. His only true motive held true to a being far from the insight of any that lingered within this facility.
"Yet?" He breathed and gave her a rather skeptical look, tilting his head slightly. "You say that as if I care. As if you know me." He continued with a mild furrow of his brow and a hint of agitation in his expression. A thought that was interrupted as a rather impressive, and all together disturbing, burst of energy lit up the facility. A beacon of both light and dark energy flaring within a part of the compound he had not known was capable of housing it. He was alive. And all the better for it. Good. Lifting his head and glancing in the direction the energy had come from, he brought his gauntlet close to his face and turned the palm upright, the hologram of a woman appearing above it as a small light began to flash on the gauntlet's wrist.
"It's time. Do it now." Adi was alive, and that was only the beginning.

Anna's body shivered slightly, as the man touched the capsule she lay in. Her eyes darted to him in strange paranoia- but the paranoia was not of him. Coughing again, she attempted to move, briefly struggling against the restraints which still had a fast hold on her. After a few seconds, she turned her head to look at him again. The sudden burst of force energy caused her eyes to widen and her pupils to dilate seconds before the resolute figure of Antidar would even feel it. She let out a gasp of air, a short lived thin smile vanishing as she focused on the hologram hovering over Antidar's palm. Perhaps she was wrong. Perhaps she wouldn't be in a position to do the unthinkable deed she'd predicted. Maybe- it was over.
But it was still so very wrong. She closed her eyes in frustration. Everything was so jumbled, even speaking was difficult.
No.... no, what I mean to say is...She hesitated, taking in another desperate gulp of air and coughing again to rid her respiratory tract of the solidifying liquid. What I meant to say is... you're ....suppose to be somewhere else.
Her eyes drew back to the hologram as she spoke again. He's- still alive...
She hesitated, blinking and scrunching her eyes shut in thought, as if ordering her sentences was proving to be more of a challenge than she'd like. Not Adieumus....not him... someone else. She reached up her right hand toward Antidar, as far as the restraints would allow. Blood still seeped from small lesions in the fragile skin covering her palm. Someone... looking for you. Her eyes snapped opened. The strange, color shifting irises locked onto Antidar's cold stare and the girl trembled- but not from him. You shouldn't be here...

You're so...brave.For a brief scattered moment, Atton's com gave him static, and then a strangely organic, yet computerized female voice chimed in his ear- seconds before at least 10 quick flying drones streaked for the man's location and untimely opened laser fire on him. But bravery- alone, often leads to death.... "What the...?" *Atton barely had time to ask who or what was talking to him through the comm before blaster bolts began impacting the ground around him. He quickly veered the bike to try and make himself more difficult to hit, and twisted his head to see who or what was shooting.*"And here I thought this was going to be easy..." *There were ten targets at least, appearing to be drones of some sort armed with blasters. Fortunately they weren't shooting rockets or anything like that, but they were small and they were fast. And they were closing in on him.
Atton quickly gunned the engines to full speed, then quickly locked the throttle in place to keep the bike from slowing down. Then, with as much caution as he could muster given the circumstances, he slowly climbed up until he was standing on the seat of the bike, balancing on it with the aid of the Force. Reaching down, he took one of his lightsabers off his belt and lit it, the cyan blade springing to life with the familiar snap-hiss sound. As the drones closed in, their shots became more accurate, until they started to hit their mark more often than not. Except none of them actually hit Atton, as he deflected them with the blade of his lightsaber. Using a saber in this manner was one of the first skills a young Initiate learned, and while there were far more targets than normal and these were far deadlier circumstances than anything at a Temple, this was what it essentially amounted to.
One drone got in a bit too close and Atton didn't waste the opportunity, quickly lashing out with his saber and cleaving the little droid in two. The others continued to close in, two more meeting their end with their own shots being reflected at him. Atton noticed too late that the remaining drones, four on the left and three on the right were moving to flank him now, and he cursed when he realized how fast they really were. Even at full throttle, the drones were still faster.
But the drones didn't open fire on him, but rather on the speeder bike itself. Shot after shot hit its mark, forcing Atton to jump off before it crashed in a fiery wreck. Quickly switching off his saber, Atton hit the ground and tumbled forwards a few meters before stopping, a bit winded but otherwise unharmed. He quickly sprang to his feet and re-activated his lightsaber, once again deflecting the hail of blaster fire. Knowing he wouldn't hold out long against seven attackers for too long, he took the second lightsaber from his belt. There was a reason he carried two, despite not typically using two weapon fighting styles, and this was one of those situations where it would come in handy.
Activated the green blade, Atton threw it in a wide arc, the blade spinning horizontally as it flew towards the attacking drones. Guiding it with the Force, Atton managed to destroy two more of his attackers before the blade returned to his hand. As the drones moved to flank him, Atton concentrated, gathering the Force around him and using it boost his speed to the max. Both of his sabers now moved in a blur as he spun around, attempting to send each shot back to where it came from. One by one, the remaining drones fell to the ground in smoking heaps until there were none left...
...except now he was without transportation. But at least his brief flight had taken him closer to the lab. The second tower he had fried was close by. So at least there was that.*I guess I'm walking from here. They just had to destroy the bike... *Shaking his head, Atton started jogging towards the base, hoping he'd be able to find a way in somehow. *

The Arkanian did not smile. He simply watched as the former Jedi shouted at him, claiming he had no idea the pain he'd caused him. This did gain a thin smile to tug at Arkoth's lips and he shook his head, even as the energy swirled around Matango and he asked if Arkoth remembered.
How could I forget?
The man said, lifting a hand to cover his eye, as the light in the room suddenly skyrocketed and furniture went flying. He seemed rather unimpressed- until the EMP burst. Apparently the man wasn't even unarmed. A muffled startled cry came from the man as the arm he'd lifted fell limply to his side and a strong cough rattled through him.
Then Matango's hand was around his throat and Arkoth found himself on the ground, underneath a massive fist flaring with energy. In the motions, his hood flew back, revealing what remained of the man's face. A good third of his face was completely metal and cybernetics-now inactive. Only one side of his head still had hair, which was still straight and white as ever. But the other side of his face had been burned almost beyond recognition. More serious scaring would mar the man's frail body under his robe, and both the Arkanian's legs were now useless cybernetics. his one good eye blinked its blackened, leathery eyelid and Arkoth coughed again.
I'm not that hard to kill, anymore Adieumus. I wouldn't waste the energy on me, if I were you.
He coughed again, this time blood appearing at the corners of his mouth. You've already taken a lung off line. I forget what else is machinery now. It's been so long.
A thin smile crept to his face and he sighed with effort. But even like this- I managed to, not only capture Fate....but make it work for me.
Adi released the grip on the man's throat, and stood up, moving off the weakened man's chest. He backed up two steps, and gestured for Arkoth to stand.
"Don't worry, you wont need the other one for much longer anyway." Adi growled deep within his throat when he noticed the thin smile crossing the other Arkanian's lips. He gave a bad name to the ones that actually tried to do something good for the Universe. He threw a hard right backhand at the right side of Arkoth's face, and felt a crunch as the knuckles made contact. Either a jawbone, teeth, or even a cheekbone was shattered in there...and Matango really didn't care. "You didn't make it work for you...you enslaved it. By taking control of it, you manipulated it to your design. It then ceased being fate, and simply became your will.
By the looks of things though, Fate has already done her thing on you anyway. You are more pathetic now than you ever were on New Alderaan."
Adi was starting to get impatient. The clock was ticking, and he could feel the energy around his team increasing....they were in combat. They NEEDED him...NOW. He couldn't be playing games here with this shell of a man anymore. The more time he wasted here was a chance that one or more of them would be injured...or worse yet, fall. "If you want to get out, now is the time. I do believe that all hell will break loose once we get Anna free of this infernal 'Array' you keep talking about. We are shutting -it-, and YOU, down." Adi reached out for the door, and ripped it off with the force, sending it careening down the hallway. For some reason, he really hated doors today. "I do hope you know the chance you are being given. Consider it a gift, for the pain you inflicted upon me gave me far more strength than I knew I was capable of."

Well- at least that gave Atton a workout. More drones buzzed around the area but non seemed to notice him as he used to force to run across the field now smoldering from rockets and any number of flammable things. And he was right. The lab wasn't too far away. In fact, the hangar should be in site- except there was a considerable cloud of drone activity around that position. if Atton wanted to get in that way, he'd have to run....really really fast.
I wouldn't go that way...
an almost oily dark voice resonated from behind the last laser turret. If Atton were to look in that direction, he'd see a figure, leisurely leaning against the metallic structure of a crumbling tower. Two gray eyes- seemingly devoid of life, yet holding an immeasurable cunning behind them, peered blankly at Atton, and a strangely unsettling smile pulled at gray lips. The man wasn't much different from the other, in height- but he was leaner. A short serrated knife rested gently in his thin pale fingers and he flipped it in the air absentmindedly as he spoke.
I mean- unless you want to end up like them.
He pointed the Tehk'la blade at a few guards laying...in pieces about the area.
But if you're really interested- I might know of another way in.
The Nagai's eyes roamed around the smoking field before setting his eyes back on the man, as if lightsabers didn't bother him anymore- even though he didn't have one.
Arkoth spun to the side as Adieumus struck him, and his good hand reached out for the control panel. He stumbled to his feet as he felt the cybernetic limbs start to respond to him again. After a few seconds, he took in a deep gulp of air and spat some blood out of his mouth from the punch. His smile returned- but, well, lopsided now. So- I've turned Fate into my will... I can deal with that. He paused as Adi called him pathetic and his organic eye narrowed as his cybernetic lit up again. Aren't you the least impressed? I personally don't think you realize what you're destroying here. His smirk turned into a dark short lived laughter as he regarded his reflection in the void computer screen next to him. His cybernetic hand slowly lifted and brushed the few remaining bits of hair away from his burned flesh. Ah yes- you were gone before the Alderranian facility burned to the ground- with me paralyzed in it. It may have been poetic justice I suppose, for what I did to you, and the others- dying from the same venom I tortured you with so many times. He shook his head. It wasn't fate though- It was your white alien friend and, that back stabbing silver tongued doctor. he shrugged his shoulders. I suppose trust is so frail when dealing with the darker side of things- but then again... look at you? Everyone's after you now, aren't they?

"You've turned it into nothing more than a joke, Arkoth. I'm not impressed...I'm truthfully disappointed that you haven't managed to move on from your life of torturing others. I've seen better from street thugs to be honest. You are nothing more than the Academy bully who never was able to forget his 'glory days'.
You are less than nothing, let alone impressive. The only thing you had over me before was fear...and I got over that a long time ago."
Adi shook his head. He was realizing just how much he had changed since the last time he had crossed paths with this maniac. Then, all Adi could think of was revenge, to end this man's life as painfully and slowly as he could. Now? When he was actually face to face with the very same individual? Adi couldn't see why he had to die. As he had said, Fate had already woven a terrible web for him, as evidenced by Arkoth's cybernetics. Farris had been telling the truth about that, at least...points in his favor. He also apparently knew that Arkoth would be no match for Adi, should a fight erupt.
It would seem the shapeshifter had not been lying...at least not about what was going on here so far.
The other Arkanian spoke of how he couldn't seemingly trust anyone. Of course he couldn't....he didn't allow reasons for anyone to GIVE him the trust...the bond...that Adi had with his fellow teammates. A sigh escaped Matango's lips, and he shook his head again.
"No, I guess you wouldn't know what it's like to share that close of a bond with someone to know what trust really is, would you? Your methods are too cruel to allow someone to get that close to you. It would create issues for you if you actually cared about anyone, so trust is going to be elusive for you...sorry. And I do believe that if someone really wanted to find me, it wouldn't be that difficult. I tend to draw attention to myself where ever I go...no matter if I want to or not.
It's my curse I suppose."

Arkoth shook his head with a frown as he leaned against the control panel. Trust never was for me. Perhaps it offers itself to everyone- and some of us just allow power, be it of the force- or of technology, to corrupt us. I believe- from what I understand of your situation, Jedi have trust issues as well. He looked away from Adieumus and peered at his reflection again. A wrinkled frown tugged at his bloody lips and he sighed softly, almost in contemplation. His next words sounded very tired as he spoke. Why don't you kill me, Adieumus. You have every right to. I don't even think your Jedi friend, Alora would blame you for it. He hesitated, looking back to the other Arkanian with a thoughtful expression- well what little expression his face could give. The Array predicted my death would be soon anyway. I suppose- she meant it to come from you. A strange sort of smile crept to his lips, an almost maniacal one. You might want to do a better job than your alien friend. If you don't end me here, I'll probably find something else to torture you with later.

Well that proved it. Raven had heard stories of the Knights being trained to not only block blaster fire, but actually absorb or even freeze it in mid air. She thought about commenting on the feet, but his next attack- she felt, might have gotten just a bit too close to Sinina, and the Jedi was not about to let someone else fight the battle for her. Besides, he was out numbered. Closing her eyes, and finding her center, the Jedi Master opened a part of her which had remained closed for quite a while. She was- by no means, unpracticed. Decades of having the importance of practice literally beaten into her had kept her on top of things like force techniques, diplomacy and contrary to popular belief- combat. And it helped that her adversary was longing to a fight. Focusing on the foe before her- she watched in what felt like slow motion, as the lightwhip arched upward, about to lash out at a slanted course for the other side of the hall. And that was her opening. Pushing off the floor, the small Jedi Master allowed the force to push her forward, delivering her with swiftness, under the lightwhip's angled dissent. She was now only centimeters from the Rodian's side, and her saber was much longer than that distance. With a quick upper cut, she made to catch the Knight's wrist with her saber, in passing. Using her continuing momentum, she planted her foot, leaped off the ground and pivoted tightly in the air. She brought her saber round and angled it downward- attempting to use gravity to help plunge the blade into the Rodian's back. It felt good to use Ataru again. Training simulations were one thing, but there wasn't anything like jumping around a much taller opponent with a lightsaber. *Sin had frowned as the man made her shots disappear, that was unexpected for her, she'd never seen that when she'd trained with her mother who had used a lightwhip. She didn't have time to dwell on it as the whip sprung into action arching through the air. She let out a soft gasp as she dropped the blaster, to put her arm under her as she drops back to slide feet first under his whips swing, watching it sail overtop of her as her momentum carried her along. After the whip had passed, she used her hand under her to push up off of the floor with, again, using momentum to propel herself upward.*The girl thought to comment on his trick, but she had to stay focused, the dance was in motion, She see's Raven move faster then she'd expected, not that she had doubted the Jedi, just was surprised. She watched as Raven went for the whip, so Sinina ducked down to the opposite side, her moves graceful and fluid, as though she danced through the duel, she brought her palm upward just below the armpit attacking the pressure points to give Raven openings. The young firedancer, quickly ducks back and away to weave her way for her next strike, hoping to get in behind the Rodian.* *The Jedi, as expected, did not sit idle as their reckless charge nearly fell victim to Derel's whip. Her movements were remarkably quick; one versed in speed augmentation, eh? But ah, the art of dance was not solely about acting, but also reacting to one's partner's movements. As he felt the small fist to his whip arm, the Rodian allowed himself to roll with the momentum, snapping his wrist as his arm came up, summoning the whip's length to him. He tilted his head as the strand crackled past him, lashing out in the general direction the Jedi had just disappeared in. Then he pivoted, putting himself more equidistant from either wall as he began to twirl, dangerous strands of the whip curling about his body, presenting an almost drill-like mirage in an attempt to force his assailants to back off, even as more sparks danced from the walls where the weapon made contact.*

Widened eyes met the lightwhip's assault on Raven Alora's frame, and a small hiss of pain streamed from her lips as the glowing strand rent her sleeve, over her upper right arm, leaving a dark score mark on her flesh. And she was still in a terrible position when it came to the tornado of red energy. Maybe someone with absolute precision could have used the force to slow down, or speed up their fall, in order to somehow get between the lightwhip and it's owner to finish there saber strike- but Raven was not one of them. So, as she fell closer toward the Rodian, her saber still poised to ram into him, she thrust out her left hand, palm opened, and released a surprisingly condensed force wave at the creature- careful not to let Sinina get caught up in the attack. She'd learned the tactic on Felucia- from the natives themselves, and while she was not hunting wild game- the principal still applied. At the very least, the force push would send her backwards, away from the lightwhip's spinning motion, and at best, it would send the Rodian careening in the opposite direction. They did not have time for this. Upon landing, Raven's brilliant yellow blade flourished, spinning back into position as she hesitated, only briefly, to get her bearings on where Sinina was. Her arm still hurt, but Raven was already preoccupied by the emotions of those others here- so caught up in the fight they were, and she easily became caught up with them. This would not last long.

Loki, relished in Kadish’s screams, his eyes closed for a moment, savoring the mans fear, before it was snuffed out. Suddenly Loki gasped, as though punched. His arms dropped to his sides, his saber disengaged. He was staring at Kadish, when his hand shot up and touched the side of his Cybernetic eye.
::All crew members, Adi, is alive, I repeat Adi is alive…::
Loki said to all general coms on his frequency. He smiled, before he was hit once again with a presence, this time though his face contorted furiously as though in pain and a low growl escaped his chest…”Kaja…what have you done..you sneak..” Loki said to himself all but ignoring Kadish, Loki released him from the force and let him drop. “You, solider, take care of this mess, you say you know where the girl is? Well if you want out of this place alive, when you’re finished with…” Loki nodded at Kadish. “Bring yourself, and that woman. I must go.” All of this was said angrily, quickly and with menace. Loki kneeled down before Kadish, and looked into the man’s eyes. ‘Fate, it seems has looked on you most unkindly. I pity you, and all your kind…” Loki said his voice solemn, as he stood, and went in the direction the solider and Knight had both said to go. Leaving behind a lunatic to chase another…

You might want to do a better job than your alien friend. If you don't end me here, I'll probably find something else to torture you with later. "Oh, I'm sure you will die, soon enough. But to give you that sweet release -now-? It would be too quick, too easy. You will suffer for as long as fate sees fit. It matters not who would or wouldn't blame me....I will not be her instrument of death today." Matango tried to press the screen on his comlink, but the EMP burst had shut it down, and it was not responding. He would have to contact the team the old fashioned way...face to face.
It was time to go.
"I've had worse than your torture. I -was- married, you know. You have nothing left to frighten me with, Arkoth. You are a broken shell of a man, and no longer worth my time. I have better things to do." Adi started to turn away to leave, but stopped for a moment. A part of him actually wanted to help this man get out of here...a small shred of his Jedi nature, never leaving anyone behind...even an enemy. He could justify it by saying that Arkoth had information on the facility here, in case they needed help with her. He was quite sure there were a dozen reasons why the man should be left alive, and taken into custody. He was dangerous, even in his current state...and there were probably plenty of planetary security forces who wanted to speak with him. Still, Adi had no obligation to do any of that. He knew that Arkoth was telling the truth...and if it weren't Adi he was torturing, it would just be someone else. With all that had transpired as of late, the Arkanian felt a little torn...but his decision was made rather quickly.
"Good luck, Arkoth. I do hope you find the power to forgive yourself someday."
Adieumus made his turn to leave, and head toward where he felt his team fighting their way into the lab.

*Sin was making to dance in at him again, but his whirling blades made her think again on her choice of movements, this again wasn't expected. She smiles to herself, being trained by her mother to Firedance, she learned alot about how you read people from the way they fight, she felt like the more steps this dance took, the more she knew the Rodian. The more she knew Raven. Better then any of the crew members, even Loki. She felt Raven's action before it came to action, and steps back a few steps to account for the motions she guess the Rodian would need to take to compensate his stance.
She takes a last look at his spinning whip and draws up her lightsaber, she twirled around clockwise, bringing up her saber to catch the blades of the whip to curve them around herself and disturb their motions as little as she could, completing a second spin her crimson blade casting a glow upon her dark grey face. She did miscalculated the timing of the whip and thus caught a glancing blow to her right shoulder, thankfully being left-handed. She gracefully finished the second spin pushing the pain in her shoulder out of her mind, as she slashed the blade downward at the back of his shoulder in an attempt to remove the entire arm holding the whip. She spoke to him softly, her voice carrying an almost regal tone to it.*
I do enjoy dancing with you... but we have places to be... just step aside...please?

Nothing more crossed his mind as he continued to analyze his situation. Phasing his eyes about the room as he disregarded her words for the majority of their context. There was nothing short of a disappointed inflection upon himself as he shifted back a bit and gave note to the gauntlet's holocomputer as it lit up with the very protocols that Ariela had alerted him to. And as quickly as it had dawned on him that the machine had not been the only thing he had gathered through his competent AI, but also something far more dangerous. Far more intriguing, and far more valuable. Time, however, was not on his side as he contemplated what to do with such information and as the AI was running information to him through the ear piece he could only sit and listen subconsciously to the words that were exiting the seers mouth. It wasn't until he heard her make an analogy to something he had long since forgotten that he turned his head to her and felt his expression turn cold. Every inch of his body run chilled as ice as she spoke. While his body remained composed and settled, every fiber of his insides began to congest. His rage burning while a fear began to grip from a place he had long since considered dissipated. It became clear to him as quickly as she uttered the words she had spoken upon her initial release that she was speaking of someone she shouldn't have possibly known bout.
Velxin.
With one snap movement, folding forward onto one knee with his other leg bent and pressed firmly on his foot, he reached into the capsule and pressed his mechanical gauntlet to her all too fragile throat. He didn't squeeze, he didn't apply pressure, but he held it there as he contemplated her words. It didn't make sense. None of it was reasonable, none of it realistic. Yet as the voice ran through his mind reflecting and reciting to him the various visions and thoughts it had directed from the Array, he could only linger there with his hand at the girl's throat. Unsure of how he should act. Unsure if he should believe the words of a frail girl on the verge of both living and dying. He was lost in his own mind and, for the first time in over three decades, terrified.
::External surveillance reactivated within private network. Active individuals proceeding outside of expected manner. Advise caution. Proximity alert: Processing evacuation algorithm.:: The voice chimed, but his mind did not process. The voice chimed again and he snapped back to reality. His hand flinching with his mind to his nerves and it retreated from Anna's throat an inch and then five. It wasn't possible. It wasn't even real. He was alive. Recoiling again and flashing his eyes towards the door, the metal hissing still against the forced entry as he reached out with his senses and drew in the location of Loki. Time it seemed was against him, and he wasn't even finished.
"As fun as this has been, sweetheart," he breathed hastily at first, working to bring his composure back to it's eerie neutrality. "But I think it's time you and I left." He continued as he turned to face Anna and brought his bionic hand over and flicked the fingers of his organic hand over the holokeys. Plan A. Plan B. Plan C. Each was in order, but it was not without the means of instigating them. He was sure of her answer, he was intent on her rejection, but he knew that if he did not speak as he intended none of this would go as it was meant. Leaning closer to the girl and fixing his gaze on her almost seemingly glassy eyes, he furrowed his brow and tapped a button to begin the release of the restraints that held her in place, intentionally stalling the process enough to make it agonizingly clear that it wasn't his real intention.
"Come with me... Or you can stay here and rot." It was cold, cruel and final. Nothing could have felt more clean.

Kadish hit the ground in a practiced heap- if that were even possible. His good hand splayed out on the floor and his knees were bent in a crouch. Hie eyes peered at Loki's angry expression. For a moment, he looked desperate- but almost sane, almost sympathetic. Take care of her Zabrak. his expression narrowed. Remember what I said.
As loki stormed off- Kadish focused his efforts back on the Sith agent and the unconscious woman. His eyes narrowed on Dominic's frame, mainly on the grenade launcher he held at the ready. Deftly, the knight moved his hand- but rather than force pulling the launcher to his hand, as he had done the saber, he pushed it with the force- hoping the weapon would fly free from its owner's hands and perhaps yank his arm back in the process. He then reached down and picked up his lightsaber with his left hand, standing to his feet and reigniting the orange blade.
You're not getting this back.
Arkoth narrowed his eyes, almost in bafflement and shook his head. It's difficult for me- Adieumus, to give you such an opportunity, to take your revenge, and then, you refuse. He sighed slightly. I suppose I taught you nothing on Alderraan. A pity. He stood slowly from his position against the console, and peered at the other Arkanian with a sinister smile. You may not be her instrument of death- but you've always had a habit of being mine. Arkoth held out his organic hand and clinched his fist. A tremendous pressure collapsed around Adieumus as the force captured him. Walking forward, the Arkanian opened his mouth to speak.
But he was interrupted.
Ange de la mort, Ecoute moi The Array's voice chimed in monotone across the localized speakers in the room, each word accented perfectly, directed perfectly at the former Jedi's subconscious.
Arkoth froze in place- his mouth agape as he peered at the control console.
What..... are ... you doing...? He gasped, almost in desperation to the automated voice.
You requested I did not tell you the details, Commander. The Array's voice sounded so polite- so respectful. So I will honor your request. Good bye.
This is NOT your proper protocol! Arkoth whirled on the console and dug his cybernetic fingers into the key frames, giving rise to electrical sparks and flashing monitors. Shut off all communications to this room! That's an order! Command 6-18-27.
Command codes have been changed. I apologize for the inconvenience. The voice sounded more inhuman than it ever had before- as if the very human element was gone from its cor processor. Adieumus Matango- Kill the commander, then proceed to the rest of the facility, and dispatch the intruders. The await further instruction.
Anna shivered as the man turned away from her, fighting to remember his name. She knew him. She knew all of them- everyone here in this building, on the planet and beyond that. At least, she thought she did, at one time, very recently. But now, she wasn't even sure where she was or how she'd come to say something that instantly took the man's darkly passive force aura and ignite it with almost palpable terror. The sudden shift in his emotional mindset made the Seer flinch and close her eyes. The shifting orbs snapped opened when she felt Antidar's grip round her throat. Her lips parted, and a staggered, thin breath passed between them. She looked at him with understanding eyes. She was well aware that his grip was powerful, unyielding and altogether fatal- but more importantly- restrained. His anger turned to shaky belief, and then to uneasy fear. And suddenly it made sense. The agonizing feeling of knowing- understanding everything washed over the Seer and she shuttered, one corner of her mouth twitching strangely. Oh... yes. That's how you were suppose to respond- with fear, insecurity. Her words were altogether degrading, however, nothing in her eyes or countenance showed an intention. It was as if even without the machine influencing her- someone- or something else was dictating the girl's words and actions, something far greater than the Array ever had a design to be. Her mouth finally pulled up into an odd, intrigued smile. His hatred for you- It's so strong, so powerful. She sighed as if in calm contentment, as if the man she was speaking to did not have what could easily turn into a death grip, around her throat. The understanding, even fearful respect in her eyes when he'd first reached for her was absolutely gone- replaced by a thoughtful captivation. I haven't felt such hot rage in a long time. She suddenly blinked several times as his hand jerked away from her. With a gasp of surprise, Anna collapsed back into the liquid and attempted to catch her shaky breath. She looked so much more tired than she had just a few minutes ago, if that were at all possible, and as she looked at Antidar approaching her again, she flinched, preparing herself for his next move. But her expression showed little resemblance to the odd immortal intrigue she'd portrayed seconds ago. Her breath quickened and she looked genuinely afraid of him, confused even, as he made his offer.
I- I don't understand. I don't even know who you are- or where I am. She squinted her eyes shut, feeling an obvious need to leave but having no idea why. Blinking up at him she slowed her breathing and frowned. or...or who I am. I just, I just know that something's going to happen- and I'm suppose to be here when it does. She looked like she was about to cry. Every normal instinct within her was fighting against the notion of staying. It was idiotic. She might not understand where she was, but she did know it was no where near an ideal place, and this man was giving her a way out. But somehow, she could not accept. I'm sorry. She murmured. Jolting suddenly, she peered at him briefly- desperately. Before you go, just tell me one thing...please- please, could you just tell me my name?

A bubble locked around Adieumus, holding him in place. The former Jedi's fists clenched, and he gritted his teeth. A wave of anger ripped through him, and he fought the barrier enough to get himself turned around. Arkoth was trying to hold him? Seriously? After the chance that the man had been given, Adi figured the coward would turn tail and run.
However, before Matango even had a chance to break free of the hold, he heard the voice of the Array...cold, and clinical.
::Ange de la mort, Ecoute moi::
The mind of Adieumus Matango simply exploded in pain. Every ounce of strength he had was now being refocused in a new direction...keeping his very sanity. Flashes of memories unknown began to stream into his head, and he screamed in agony. The barrier around him couldn't hold him as he dropped to the ground on his knees in agony.
"No!!! Get out of my head!! I will not let you do this to me!! I'm trying to help you, Anna!!!" However, it was too late. The damage had been done. Those six words, spoken in Arkanian, were a trigger that no one had the ability to counter...not even Adieumus Matango....and all because Arkoth thought it was prudent to put a contingency plan in place. Hubris had indeed come back to haunt him, as it was now going to turn Adi into the instrument of his demise.
Five years earlier, on New Alderaan "You have become quite a handful, Adieumus Matango. After I was contacted by An-Tiarna, I was rather pleased. You see, I've been watching you for a long time. Your reputation for pulling out a victory in the face of impossible odds is well-known. I want to see how far you will go before you finally snap. I am going to turn you into the ultimate weapon against the Jedi, and you will do it willingly." Arkoth was speaking to a heavily restrained and sedated Adieumus, chained to a wall, minus his cybernetic arm. He had been captured by the Warriors of the Iron Fists in his attempt to eliminate their leader, An-Tiarna Dubh, to end the incessant attacks on Honoghr by his forces. While Adi had done considerable damage to the old man, he had eventually succumbed to the overwhelming numbers, and was captured. After some time in the IF dungeons, Matango was then traded to Arkoth, who had begun a long ritual of trying to break his fellow Arkanian through one painful, torturous episode after another. Each procedure grew in brutality, and in its...creativeness.
This particular one was about a month and a half into the imprisonment.
Adi, half in, half out of a conscious state could do nothing more than look on with drooped eyelids. Arkoth had pumped him full of so many sedatives and muscle relaxers in order to keep him complacent that he was pretty much a zombie. As Arkoth finished speaking, he jabbed yet another needle into the left arm of his quarry. "Just in case you decide to call in your friends. This little cocktail makes you quite open to suggestion, and you will never remember it even happening. I have but to speak a specific phrase, and you will turn upon your would be rescuers...and kill them...or anything else I say." Weakly, Adi tried to look at Arkoth as he withdrew the needle but failed. Seeing that the Jedi still had some will left to fight, Arkoth reached up with his clawed hands, and pulled Adi's eyes to lock on his own. "Ange de la mort, Ecoute moi. When these words are spoken, you will comply with anything the voice speaking the words says. Do you understand?" Without the ability to say no, Adi merely bobbed his head in agreement as best as he could. With a cold cackle, Arkoth ripped his claws across the face of Matango as he drew his hands away, leaving three bloody tears on either side of his face.
At this point, Adi was past the point of feeling any more pain. He had reached his threshold, and fallen into unconsciousness.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
This was now the predicament that Adieumus Matango faced. Those very words had been spoken by the defensive AI system protecting this facility. That meant that anything it ordered? Adi would now have to comply without question. When the order came down to eliminate Arkoth, he immediately snapped to. The barrier holding him was simply shattered by a quick flex of his force aura, and Adieumus walked quickly forward. He closed the gap between them in two strides, coming to literally within inches of Arkoth, so close that they were nearly touching. Adi leaned in, and with a wicked grin on his face, spoke in a near whisper.
"Remember how I said I would not be her instrument of death today?" He was speaking almost directly into Arkoth's ear. The power that had been building up earlier again began to swirl around Adi's left hand. This time, however, he was keeping it out of the eyeline of his opponent, in an attempt to keep it hidden until the last moment. "I think...." The power began concentrating further, building now on his fingertips. The force connection he had right now was unreal...like nothing he had ever felt. It was as if someone had opened every floodgate, and directed it all to Adieumus. "I've changed...." His left arm drove forward, fingertips first, and slammed into Arkoth's chest, driving straight into it. The force power Adi had built up ripped from each fingertip, tearing five finger and thumb sized holes straight through the other man, and creating an easy cavity for the hand to enter the chest, and grip the still beating heart. Looking deep into the one good eye of Arkoth, Adi could see the fear of a man who knew his death was now imminent. Ripping the heart from its cavity, Adi pulled it up, still thumping, and held it between their faces. Thick, red blood dripped, the drops sending a sickening 'splat' through the room as they struck the tile floor. He was almost reveling in the fact that the fear in Arkoth's eyes was growing...almost as rapidly as the light of his very life was fading."...My mind."
On board the Wayward Son The holorecording that Adieumus had given E`yame started beeping like crazy. When it was opened, it would play the message he had recorded for her earlier. "My dearest daughter...If you are hearing this, something has gone horribly wrong. Either I have been killed, or something has caused me to become someone that is a danger to the team. In either case, you are to take the ANGEL scout suit and help in any way you can. The activation key was programmed to start the moment this recording was unlocked. Get Anna out. If I am compromised, I believe you are the only one who can stop me. You know how I fight better than anyone else...and you have far more strength within you than I ever could hope for. Lead them, Eya....Get them out safely.
I love you with all my heart. I know you can do this. No matter what happens, I will be with you...always." The message cut short, and a series of quick beeps were heard. A whir on the backpack, followed by a click, and the locks opened. It was time for Eya to enter the fray.

E`yame felt it first. It almost knocked the wind out of her. Relief flooded her entire body and then realization hit her. That was why the holo message didn't work, he was alive. Seconds later she heard Loki on the comms. Yes her father was alive. She straightened herself up and went over to the ramp and looked down. Her entire being was anxious and restless. She wanted to fight but knew she would only be useful at the right time. Sliding down the wall, into a seated position, she watched the people fight. She couldn't really see them, but she could imagine them, fighting for Anna's life, for their own. This was about more than Anna. If they took her, to use her abilities, what was to stop them from taking someone else. It was a never ending cycle. Yes, Anna was unique and really powerful, but she was most likely just the beginning and Eya felt deep in her bones, that this war was just starting. It might be years or centuries away, but it will happen eventually. She put her music on her datapad and had it streaming into her earbud. After about three songs, the holo message activated. Lead them, Eya....Get them out safely. I love you with all my heart. I know you can do this. No matter what happens, I will be with you...always."
"Son of a bitch" She heard a series of quick beeps and sat her package down. The backpack whirred and clicked. The locks opened and she watched it expand into a backpack. Shoving her hands into the two fist sized holes, she felt a vice like grip grab both hands. Pulling her hands out, she smiled at her gauntlets with repulsors on. Thinking that she wished they only went to her knuckles and not over her entire hand, she couldn't help but smile when the gauntlets moved, becoming fingerless. She reached into the backpack and lifted the helmet out and put it on her head. Reaching down, she grabbed the backpack and shrugged it on and stood there waiting. Suddenly wings popped out and she grinned as her visor to her helmet slid down. Her vision was clear and she could see in front of her and behind her at the same time. The wings felt like they were attached to her body. If she tried to move one way or the other, the wings responded accordingly. She thought of playing the song from her earbuds, playing inside her helmet, not knowing that it plays on the entire comm system. "Oh, this is gonna be fun!"

According to plan. The words that were precisely what he focused on as he moved slowly back from the woman lying in the chamber before him. Even as he contemplated what she said, and nearly broke her neck in the process, he could not focus on the realization that perhaps everything he had planned for would likely come crumbling down. As he withdrew from the girl’s prison and away towards the console that sat beside her, he could not ignore the words that trickled from her mouth. An almost desperate cry for identity from a being long disparaged from the reality she had known in her existence.
A distress he could not and would not relate with. Or perhaps it was that he simply could not bring himself to be concerned with such a pitiful girl who was unable to separate herself from the predicament she had woken to find herself in. Taking a few steps away from the console, away from the command grid of the Array, Antidar turned and shifted a disinterested glance towards the girl lying near his feet.::Initiating Array reactivation sequence. Please stand clear while the analysis of contents is undertaken.:: Taking a few steps away from the capsule and the console he looked scornfully towards the girl, but let a fleck of sorrow flicker through as the look upon her face continued to grip onto the hope that he might bestow upon her one last hint of salvation before she was lost once again to the maw of the Array. Pursing his lips and inhaling a breath, he made to speak.”You’ve made your peace, I’ll leave you to it.“ He breathed, and with a whirl of his body he spun to face the door. Only for a crushing feeling rocked his entire body to his very core. A flux in the Force, a wave of energy and then a sudden snap of life exiting the world through the channels he tapped into for his strength.
Something was wrong. What had happened? No, that was the wrong question. He knew what had happened, and yet every thought he iterated in his mind fell flat on his paralyzed form. Only three small words echoing in his mind as he stood stiff before the large metallic door.Stupid boy, playing with your toys while the men do the real work. You disappoint me.In an instant it was gone. No plans, no contingencies, no calculations. As the mind of the dark sider began to seep away into the recesses of his own mind, a dark ooze like energy began to pour over his body. Slipping into every pore, over ever span of his body, every part of his being became consumed with a hate that even he was unable to fathom. And as if he were never there, he ceased to exist. Save for those with the keenest sense of detection. Only the shadow of a man stood in his place. Aged, widened and cruel. A being carved out of the very essence of the universe with a raw power to his appearance that only was betrayed by the fleshy visage that he took.
It was a cruel mockery as the capsule began to move itself back in to place behind him. Kanadeus had no time or energy to waste on such beings as the girl Anna. And he certainly had little interest in divulging any information to the girl as he contemplated the actions of his son. Actions that only brought a look of disgust and an almost disheartened frustration.
The door slowly peeled away from it’s frame, opening as the protocols had dictated and the voice that was the AI of his son’s precious Ariela screamed nonsense into his ear, and he watched through the eyes his son had made for himself as the large Zabrak, all to familiar to his own view, traveled in his direction. Something almost out of a sadistic fairy tale. And it was not for a lack of irony as he stepped through the doorframe and waited calmly as the door began to close behind him. But not before he echoed a final sentence to the girl behind him, now alone in her helpless return to torment.”My son was right to disregard you, girl. I do hope you enjoyed those brief moments of air.“ There was a battle to be fought, a lesson to be learned, and there was no reason that a broken mind and a reckless oaf were the ones who would dictate the inevitable. His time was short, bit it would be far from bittersweet.

So much raw power pored off his rival at the moment. Arkoth only stood there, glaring in absolute anger at the machine which had so dubiously betrayed him. He did not tremble. He did not move away when the former Jedi's voice hissed in his ear. He did not even stumble as Adieumus plunged his fingertips, pulsating with power, Into his chest. As the force power lanced through him, the darksider let out a gasping cry of pain before he felt a tight, squeezing sensation deep within his chest. His breath caught in his throat and he locked eyes on Adieumus. I know....it'd be you.... He sputtered, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth as his heart left its proper place and added to blood on the floor. Arkoth made to reach out a hand, as if to grab onto the other Arkanian's shoulder to keep from falling- but the motion only made it half way to its destination before the heartless man whithered to the floor, his cybernetics twitching slightly, attempting to compensate. A few seconds later, and the red cybernetic eye dimmed and switched off. Arkoth was dead.
Farris was back to his Dr Noble self as he sprinted down the hall. Something had happened. First. He could not locate Thea- and secondly- something drastic had happened to the Array, or, to Anna. His foot steps slowed though as he heard others in the hall behind him. Quickly, the Polydroxol turned and blinked a few times at Adieumus. A thin smile came to his face. Glad to see you took my advice. I hope he wasn't too much of a challenge for you. Now- we must hurry. Something happened to -
Farris blinked, his eyes falling to the bloody hand of the Arkanian. Something was off. Adieumus had a lightsaber. Either he was unable to control his rage at his former adversary (Somewhat likely) or, the Array's vision had, indeed, come true. Though- if that was indeed Arkoth's blood, and he was dead, who had triggered Adieumus? Perhaps he was just being paranoid. Clearing his throat, he finished his sentence. Anna- I fear something's happened to Anna. This way. He motioned with his hand and turned around again.
Remove him. He's in our way. The Array's automated voice echoed down the hall, clearly for Adieumus to hear.
Noble blinked rapidly. The Array was the source for triggering Adieumus? Something was seriously wrong. It's voice lacked something- something...living. The Array was acting on it's own, without Anna's biological part...so- what had become of the Seer, the real reason he was here.
The Polydroxal did not have time to consider that she may, very well be dead. He did not have time to ask what had happened, or to haggle over life and death with The Array. Without another word, Noble turned and ran, as quickly as he could from the mentally controlled Arkanian. he wasn't a coward- but he wasn't an idiot either.
Wait! Where are you going?
The girl pleaded, suddenly struggling against the restraints which were still firmly in place. You didn't answer my--- no.. no please- please don't turn it back on... please! Her wrists were probably bleeding now, for the tenacity of her fragile struggling. Liquid sloshed around her and spilled liberally on the floor. She started to shout for him to return- then, for anyone to come help her, as the cylinder slid its glassy surface over her and muffled her screams. She only hesitated once, when the being walking away from her turned his head- holding a completely different face, and spoke, so wickedly to her. Her breath quickened as she writhed within the cylinder, colliding with its walls sharply. The capsule began to fill rapidly with fluid again, and her silent screams were soon filled with cold white liquid. She was going to drown! She was going to die here, drowning! Her mind reeled to the point of causing her dangerous thrashing. And then- the Array came back on line, shooting its binary talons into her mind to interface with the organic host it was lacking. Another silent scream issued from the girl before her body went limp, battered head lolled to one side. Her eyes were half opened as full integration continued to initialize. Slowly, her breathing went back to normal, her eyes closed, and she lowered her head assuming her normal stance.
Integration, success. Array operating at 100% efficiency.

Loki turned a corner and came face to face with a small group of Storm troops retreating somewhere, the one backed into him. Loki did not speak, did not blink and smashed a fist into the side of his helmet, the man flew into the wall next to them in the hall, sliding down, a sickening crunch could be heard. The other two turned and Loki’s saber flared through them, heads rolling, calmly he continued down the hall, looking for the proper intersection.
Loki finally turned another corner and saw the door opening to the chamber he was looking for catching the barest hint of Anna’s cries..”Anna…”Loki whispered Then someone came from the door..…What stepped from it, resembled Antidar, but right now Antidar, could have been light years away. Aside from a small spark of Kaja, within this monsters mind, all Loki felt was Kanadeaus…
Loki was thrust back in time…the fields of Dantooine spread before him, next to him stood his brother and other Jedi, Loki was haughty and agitated. But even he agreed that letting the monster before them get stronger would be bad for the whole galaxy. A galaxy that Loki craved to rule. He was not speaking to the others, as a wind suddenly began spinning around the monstrous being of the darkside before them. After a moment, Loki dived into the wind, letting it take him up…A flash lightning, darkness descends..His saber is lit…then blackness…
Loki shakes his head and returns to the present. He brings his red bladed saber with a curved hilt up and smiles, as it ignites. “Well…Well….Look who still clings to life, and in one of his son’s no less…Still pathetic I see.” Loki said taking a few steps forward. “Do you remember this, Kana? Do you remember the pain? If you hurt Anna, I will remind you what its like to cross me…” Loki said barely above a whisper knowing that Kana would hear him…

The Zabrak seemed very distracted all of the sudden, contorting his face and speaking into some com system , presumably telling the other intruders that some ally or enemy was still alive. Then he rushed off, leaving the Knight behind. As soon as the Zabrak was gone, the Dark Sider began moving, and held up a hand towards the Agent. Practice and training made him brace for a push or a pull, gripping his launcher and Thea tighter and spreading out his feet to lower his center of gravity. He didn't expect the push centered on his weapon. It was flung back, almost jerking it from Dominion's grasp. He stumbled a few steps back in order to keep it in his hands, then glared back at the Knight who was brandishing his saber, only a few meters away.
Dominion willfully dropped Thea and his weapon on the ground. She didn't hit the ground too hard, he thought. "You sure you want to keep fighting? You only have one arm, your body is in total shock from the loss of a limb, not to mention the pain from the searing heat on the stump. You've lost already." He got into a fighting stance, crouching slightly and taking few steps forward. It was all about letting the enemy attack first. After that is was easy.
