==Bond. Gold Bond== <<106PP; M9 Sector, New Carida>>
Shaw was not one of those trusted enough to be included in the secret plans of the grand moff. He did, however, notice the rash of disappearances in both ship hulls and crew personnel. To someone with access to the information, the result was fairly obvious. He was either shuffling around a fleet for some top secret mission that could be compromised from the inside or he was building a personnel navy. If the crews had been posted to the hulls and then reported lost in some action or another, it would have been much less obvious. Then again, beyond a few dozen techs tasked with logging orders, only higher ranked officers would be able to check the all the data needed. That would make the most likely possibility that the moff was hiding the ships from infiltrators lurking in the lower ranks. Of course that wasn't info he would need to ask on, it would simply be passed on to his Imperium supervisor to handle as they would.

The Impiral build up was generating a lot of orders, new hulls, new crews, new support units, etc. Grand Moff Pellaeon wondered what specifically the emporer wanted to annex next that would need these new ships. Time would tell, and Pellaeon did his best to fill the orders in a reasonable time frame without compromising quality. The bases on Carida were busy, new recruits, new staff, and thousands of new machines and rounds of ammunition to supply the academies. Which of course meant hundreds upon thousands of more forms to be filed, checked, and backed up. The newest training facility had recently been finished, and was in full swing training support crews and pilots up to standard. It also helped facilitate the training of crews in boarding actions, both offensive and defensive. Though many officers scoffed at the idea of an imperial vessel ever being boarded.
There was one other piece of data, a science team had been put together for a humanitarian project on Caamas, a neutral world. It had requisition a company of stormtroopers to patrol their facility, and a vast supply of non-typical supplies and chemicals. It was certainly the strangest relief mission in all of galactic history judging purely by the forms filed. Scuttle butt had the answer though, Caamas was being transformed with assistance from Imperial Engineers and Scientists. Many of the new recruits were of divided opinions in regards to this outreach program. Especially considering the fate of the planet's garrison not too long ago. True that had a foreign insurgent, but the Caamasi hadn't been eager to reaffirm their loyalties so why should they be helped now? Even some of the more experienced officers doubted the true intent of the mission, but they kept their ideas and the youngsters mostly in line.

The sparring of the Stormtrooper Cadets was a fierce competition on the planet of New Carida, one that brought honor and reputation to each and every participant as well as the possibility of earning rank through skill and determination. Under the watchful eye of a Commissioner, sent by the Emperor himself, young recruits sparred within a grand arena, their mentors and officers walking around, watching and noting each person's skill and ability. The Commissioner spoke with the Headmaster and his cabinet quietly while watching the cadets train, learning of each child's background and the most prospective of each class. The Emperor was never unwilling to pass over merit for connection, the FIrst Order was always about promoting the skilled, the determined, and the worthy after all.

Another graduation ceremony had occurred on the planet of New Carida. The banners of the First Order flew high above the training grounds as a representative from the Emperor spoke to the cadets. They were now full-fledged Stormtroopers, a full legion of them stood before the ranking mentors and the Imperial representative. It was a moment of pride for them all as they were given their official emblems, noting them as a unit within the Imperial Army. A speech, recorded prior to the representative's arrival, was done by the Grand General Baltasar Delvardus and the Emperor himself, encouraging them to serve diligently and without any hesitation. The officers were given their batons of command, their badgers of worth and their recognition as the commanding officers. They would be deployed to the Imperial Sector soon enough to begin their lives as Stormtroopers of the First Order.

Annelise Sitar, aide-de-camp to Moff Standash Thul, runs around to keep the office going in the Moff's absence. This trip to Coruscant was not the best timed event. New ranks of cadets were arriving, and people needed to know who they answered too ultimately. It had been a problem since Standash had taken this post. The military structure here were not fans of the new Moff. They were subtle and never showed it to Standash directly, but Annelise received the brunt of it. Reports she asked for were incomplete, late, or entirely wrong. Standash had to make a statement. Deep down, Annelise missed her old life. The empire was not something she ever expected to be a part of. These were the people that destroyed her families home world. Now her boss held the rank of Moff, Bail would be rolling over in is grave. But she was loyal to Standash, she always would be.

As time passed by, Anneliese would eventually recieve a visit from another officer within the First Order. Another woman, short in appearence with strains of red hair showing beneath her officer's cap, looking quite young when it came to her face - yet she was the rank of a General according to her insignia. "General Daylana Kain reporting for duty, mylady", she formally introduced herself, "I came in order to report the status of the forces under my command." An awkward pause followed. "I presume Moff Standash Thul still does enjoy the festivities on Coruscant?", she remarked, sounding almost innocent if it wasn't for her inquiring tone, common among some Imperials. Apparently the general wasn't even sure if she should report to the person in front at all, even if she was informed that she would hold the command until the return of the Moff herself.

The Alderaanian chose to ignore the tone, no use picking a fight now.Hello General Kain. Yes the Moff is away at the celebration as requested by the Emperor. In her stay, she has asked me to take her meetings and handle the responsibilities of the office. Taking Coruscant is a very great accomplishment, but the empire still needs to move forward. Please deliver your report. I will compile it and give it to the Moff when she returns.

The officer seemed to struggle at first, yet she nodded understanding, before handing out her data pad for Annelise. "Training of our local garrison went smoothly as expected during the last weeks", she explained dutiful, "We coordinated movements in allignment with Rear Admiral Kasalle's forces, engaging in training with the navy troops. Although there is no competition between our troops, the efficiency of our troops exceeded the ones from Banshee squadron - yet I feel it is mainly to our men knowing the local terrain better than their pocket. There will still be room for improvement in order to ensure New Carida's safety for the future." A pause followed, as she awaited diligently the response of her superior. No personal talk, nothing special, just her dry report. General Kain was not solely in apperence a military person, but in terms of speech as well.

Good. Annelise looks over the data pad, frowning one moment, nodding the next. What are the plans to improve going forward? Are we spending to much time training at home? She focused on the job, not the feeling that the General had little respect for her or her ideas.

"I'm surprised to say that I had the same thought, mylady." Daylana actually looked up curious at the mentioning of it, having not assumed this suggestion to be made by someone else. "Our men know how to fight during the cold, they could maneuver probably even an AT-AT through the narrow passages leading up the mountains, if there wouldn't be better equipment in accomplishing this task faster, but they are used to training simulators and just the local wilderness. If the season changes and the snow will also cover the valleys, I can't promise that all troopers will be able to keep up with defending the garrisons and local areas of interest. I hope that Moff Thul might see it the same way as I do, as it would be a disaster to lose too many of our troops against an enemy invasion force during an unforseen blizzard."

She offers a professional smile. It wasn't the first time she had been underestimated, it wouldn't be the lastMost don't realize my background is military, mostly inelegance, but military non the less. Alderaan was a world of pacifists, not weaklings. Please, write up a proposal for training at the poles. I will pass it along to the Moff. We could also look into bring groups off world with the Moff for training on planets she is visiting. It seems that she has plans to take her across the empire.

The general herself nodded, looking so far not unpleased by the explanation. She was probably strict, but understood that her superiors were listening to her proposal. Something she valued apparently. "I will do so in time, mylady, as my legions are at the Moff's command, whenever she wishes it", she promised her faithful, before looking somewhat apologizing, "And pardon, madame, if I seemed rude. I didn't speak a word about Alderaan, but I... I wouldn't dare to disrespect you or the Moff." It was hard to tell if she actually felt ashamed, but there was some fear in her voice, probably that she said something what might anger her superiors if they would find out.

Sorry General, it is taking me time to get used to imperial life as well as others getting used to me. There have been many here that look down on me for my origins. their thoughts make sense, even if they aren't true. I can also tell you that the Moff appreciates initiative. I have worked for her for a long time, and in every office that is clear. I once heard her say "The only dumb idea is the one left not shared." Though I think she got it from her uncle.

General Kain remained quiet for a brief moment, being somewhat uncertain what to answer. "There is no reason to be ashamed, mylady", she only said after some time, "Origins don't matter as long as one truely serves the Emperor and his Empire. That was always the Imperial way, that's how it will continiue. Therefore I'm glad to serve under a Moff, who will listen to the advice of its subordinates." It seemed that Daylana truely believed within these words, she just spoke out, probably believing the propaganda of the First Order in these regards.

Tell me about yourself General. The Moff reads and has me read personal files, but those never are enough?

Somewhat confused, General Kain nontheless answered as ordered. "General Daylana Kain of the 302nd Legion, born on Carida, 27 years old, trained at the Acedemy, while having passed according to my instructors all final tests with outstanding grades, serving as a Colonel of the 302nd Legion until I was promoted more recently with General Ratha's death during the Battle of Dac", she responded strict, similiar to a database, "I serve the First Order with my heart and passion, mylady and can back up the data within the files, if you need me to." To some point Annelise could see that the general apparently feared that there was somewhere a mistake within her files, as she couldn't tell what the representative of the Moff actually wanted to know from her.

"The Moff and I have read all of that. What haven't we read?" The young administrator look with kind eyes. For her this wasn't an act, she was always interested in people. Serving in inelegance, she wanted all of the information available, she could decide later if it had value or not. She was interested in knowing people she worked with.

I have always reported everything up to the protocol, I swear! Is... is my loyality towards the Empire in question?"

The administrator has to fight back a laugh. the Empire was much different than the Republic, The Alliance and Alderaan, she would have to adjust to it. "General, sit down, and tell me your favorite food and leave location."

Finally understanding, what the administrator wanted to know, General Kain nearly looked up ashamed. "Seafood, madame", she said, sort of hesitantly, "And I... I normally spent my free time at my quarters near the Academy, Block A. W-why do you ask?"
