Z'har nodded, it made sense. That same factor was much of the driving force behind Mandalorian culture remaining a constant fixture in the galaxy, despite its more harsh features. It wasn't long before the pair reached the gate of the spaceport, or more accurately, reached the entrance of section of the spaceport owned by Blue Shift Transportation. It didn't take long for the pair to book mutual transport to one of the transfer stations in the core run by Blue Shift Transportation.
After passing through a final check point, the pair stepped out onto the main pad, in the shadow of the Imperial Cargo Ship marked with the Blue Shift logo. Crews of ground workers swarmed everywhere, changing out the external cargo pods, as well as carting cargo & guiding passengers up the main boarding ramp.
-Z'har The scanners only check for weapons that could endanger the ship. The operational crew is located in a separate section of the ship that can't be accessed from the rest of the ship. The rest of the crew in the ship is just for security & cargo operations. Even then most of the cargo operations are taken care of by ground crews.

Jade stopped next to Z'har, taking a few seconds to examine the Blue Shift cargo vessel. She turned to him with a smile, "Worried that an old warrior like myself might cause a disturbance in the middle of Mondder's spaceport?" Slipping her left hand into his, she clasped his hand firmly for a moment. "I do appreciate the consideration."
A minute or two later she inquired, "Where do you go from here?"

For a moment he just smiled.
-Z'har Well, I was going to give this second ticket to some random clerk to share your room with. Meanwhile I was planning to go off to some bar to find a common city girl to have my way with. But there is really no point in sacrificing a good employee for no reason, so I guess I will stick around a while longer.

"Psssh, please," Jade punched him gently in the side, "We already settled that common people don't meet your tastes...but, if you are bored and looking for something a bit better, you could try asking nicely. Or---" she let the 'or' trail off before turning to look at him, "you could just take what you want. How long till we get transferred off-planet?"

As she was speaking, a fog horn of some type sounded, sending those still working into a much quicker pace.
-Z'har About ten minutes, so I might suggest that we start heading up the ramp. However, the flight itself will take around four to five hours. We will unfortunately be in row seating for the trip, though the seats are rather roomy & comfortable. There are also a number of saloons & such we could spend the trip in, but little private space.

"Oh, well that's a pity," Jade replied with studied nonchalance as the two of them neared the boarding ramp. "I suppose we, or rather you shall have to practice the art of subtlety, dear one." She looked up at him and winked suggestively before smoothing her expression back into one of suitable dignity.

-Z'har Subtlety? It isn't like I'm know halfway across the galaxy.
The large man pauses, pretending to think for a moment before continuing on toward the ship.
-Z'har On second thought, that may, in fact, be a useful skill. Anyway, these ships aren't designed for long, drawn out voyages. Most of them only travel back & forth between two deep space transfer stations. A few, like this one, make express trips from one region of the galaxy to another without stopping at the various transfer stations along the way.

"That was not at all what I meant, Z'har," Jade replied archly, though to be sure his explanation was doubtless fascinating. But, with their parting coming up shortly she had been thinking of himself. She squeezed his hand for a moment, before removing her hand from his and clasping her hands behind her back as the two of them proceeded to the ship.

It did not take long for the massive ship to finish loading. Exactly ten minutes from the horn sounding, the ship lifted slowly into the air, taking its cargo & passengers with it.

An old fairly beat up freighter set down on a private landing pad, five mandolorians walked down the boarding ramp and moved through the spaceport, unhindered by the usually tedious and thorough customs search. The small group moved quickly, but stayed on foot, heading for a local communications hub, from which to contact their employer. Various news banners showed the usual day to day life of the CSA but a few items stuck out to one of the mando's, the border with the Koboks was apparently being contested by a small bio-corp that was looking for a new ways to grow organisms to replace labor droids who were often to imprecise for delicate work.
The group arrived at the comm-center and rented a suite, where one of the mandos moved to the central holo table and punched in Aya D'Ordinii's comm code, since Z'har was away on business. He was here mostly for a social visit, but he had a few business ventures to sound out as well. He only hoped his sister wasn't busy.

A few moments later, the channel locked, indicating that the call had been picked up, though no image appeared above the holopad.
-Aya Well, it has been a while since I laid eyes on you. Have you been doing well?

That was odd, she'd never blocked the image on one of their communications before, then again, they hadn't exactly been comm-chums or anything. NCO just shrugged it off, his family was a strange one to be certain, but it was a good one. He smiled, though his bucey was still on, so she might not see it.
I am no worse for ware, though not for lack trying. *chuckling* How have you been vod? It has been some time since our paths have crossed, even electronically, though I'm sure you've been keeping tabs on me, as usual. If you are not opposed to it, I'd like to talk face to face with you, or at least on a more secure channel than this one, about some... interesting family business, though it really shouldn't seem so odd to me, know that I think about it. Have you a place and time you'd prefer to meet?

Aya thought for a moment. She hadn't yet had a truly good chance to test out her 'physical'. Despite the time she had had it, most of her long term contacts would be spooked by the sudden shift to face-to-face. She decides it would not be too big of a risk unless he was pulling a turncoat ambush. The pause was less than half a second.
-Aya Co-ordinates & time are uploading to your bucket.
Once she had finished the upload, the line automatically disconnected.
A place was a small pub in a twisty alley on the other side of the city. The time was roughly thirty hours away. Though it would be nearly impossible to prove, the pub was owned by one of the many companies that secretly belonged to the Admiral. Additionally, the location itself would make it incredibly difficult for someone to eavesdrop on the meeting without being rather obvious. The only reason the time wasn't sooner was that Aya had to get herself to the location as well.

NCO reads the time and place, nods to himself, it gave him a substantial ammount of down time to kill but he was good at killing things, especially time. He decided to sign up for one of the official tours of the capital, it would be mostly inane garbage, but there were usually a few interesting tidbits hidden within the junk. That ate up the next five hours of his time, then he found a place to rest and simply unwind, that ate another ten hours, leaving him only half the allotted time still to kill. Having nothing else to do, he decided to do some of the paperwork he usually ignored, and that ate up the next eight hours, followed by a two hour nap and he still had five hours to burn. Four-and-a-half hours later, he entered the pub having run out of menial things to occupy himself with that wouldn't require at least an hour to do properly. He took a corner booth, and sat alone, ordering a bowl of broth to sip while he waited for his sister.

Roughly ten minutes before the set time, a somewhat regal woman of about twenty stepped into the pub. She was wearing a rather simple white dress that would blend in rather easily in most of the civilized sectors of the galaxy. Her jet black hair was pulled up into a simple bun. Her most striking feature however were the pair of large curving horns that sprouted from just above her eyes.
Spotting NCO eating, she heads over to him & sits down across from him. This was the first time that NCO had seen her ZRD body. That meant as far as he was concerned NCO has never met her in person before.
-Aya Hello brother. You needed something?

As she sat down, NCO took moment to simply study her. Not in a lewd way, but as child might explore its parent's or siblings face, with a hint of military evaluation now so deeply ingrained into him. He nodded satisfied, with what Aya would have to guess, before responding to her question with a grin.
Yes sister, I had a rather unsettling encounter with a Jedi on Corellia while having Tal'tracinya refitted, after taking light damage in a skirmish with some gusty would be pirates. What can you tell me about Ael Jade?

Aya silently debated how much of what she knew to tell the Gungan. Aya eventually decide to start with basic, publicly available fact & see how much he wanted. Aya took out a small datapad & fiddled with it for a moment. Anyone looking at the screen would see nothing expect incredibly dense & complex looking glyphs of some kind. In truth the datapad was for show, thought it was displaying the data in a info dense language Aya had created herself that could be used on everything from paper to stone.
-Aya Well, she is a she. As far as public records go she is either Human or Near-Human. She also happens to be on the current Jedi High Council. Is that what you wanted to know?

No dear sister, I knew all that already. If all I wanted was common knowledge I would not have bothered you. If the search is to broad, narrow it by the time she has spent in Mandolorian Territory, or otherwise working for or against Aliit Or'dinii, officially and unofficially.
I sip at the bowl of broth and return my attention to the room in general. My posture indicates mild annoyance at having to spell things out but then she wasn't telepathic, so I shouldn't expect her to know my thoughts. I wonder then if she's at liberty to discuss this matter, and consider that perhaps some things are not available for discusion. Buir had always enjoyed having his secrets, so this was probably another one. That bothered me, but I couldn't say way. I'd always respected his secrecy, I had secrets of my own, so that wasn't the problem... but then what was?

Aya poked out her tongue at her brother in a distinctly childish manner. It was an action that would convince anyone that spent any time dealing with the technological savant that this was truly Aya.
-Aya Officially? She is a high ranking member of the Jedi & was opposed to Aliit Or'dinii, also with all the other clans, during the last crusade. Beyond that I have various minor interacts, mostly against the clan & the Empire, going back seventy years or more.
Unofficially? She has an on-again-off-again history of working with Or'dinii from the sidelines. There is more there, but I don't suggest you try to dig too deeply there. You might not like what you find. If you really want to know more, Buir will have to tell you when he gets back from the vacation he is taking.

For the record SHE was the one doing the digging, buir's business is his own, I just don't want to end up frying his... partner, I believe is the term she would have used. And if half of what she said was true, buir is enjoying himself immensely right now and might be gone longer than expected. I drain the rest of the broth in a few quick gulps and set the empty bowl at the edge of the table, while licking my lips to collect the residual droplets from them. Setting my hands down on the table again, fingers curled into a relaxed fist, tips under palm, knuckles and wrist on the table, and lean forward to ask my next question. Do you know your mother?
