Vlusu carefully examined the suit on display. It would certainly benefit his stalker units, seeing as they were using woefully outdated suits typically used by mercenaries. The simplicity of the suit was almost classically something the Chiss would use. It was a simple design, yet it was still a formidable piece of technology. Seeing as the Chiss often used spies of this nature, this suit would certainly see use. Especially considering that a lot of guerilla warfare would likely be fought soon, seeing as the Galactic Alliance was going to hell extremely quickly. “Very impressive, Smith Tartki.”

Tartki nodded. It was good to hear praise of his work, but he had much more to show yet. A moment later & the second suit was on display. This suit was more bulky, including a heavy extended foot plating in particular.
-Tartki Ah yes. This is a real gem. Increased plate depth in all vital areas. Sensor node systems distributed along the helmet & upper shoulders for enhanced battlefield awareness. A small laser array mounted in the left gauntlet as a last ditch weapon. Not as powerful as a blaster, but no need for recharges or secondary ammunition. As long as the suit has power, so does it. Wearing one of these, you can dial up the strength enhancements enough to carry a good sized couch for most of a day. & the crown jewel.
Tartki enters a command on the datapad & the suit lifts into the air, only evidence of a system in play was the slight, teeth-itching vibration in the air. The suit did a flawless & neat spin around the room before settling back onto the open crate.
-Tartki Miniature repulsor grating in the boots & upper arms. Primary thrust units are mounted at the lower back. Allows for extremely fine control & a top speed of nearly sixty kilometers an hour. Unfortunately, if you start off with a fully charged suit, you are only looking at about two hours of flight time before the suit powers down completely.

These suits had very clearly been designed with a fine eye to detail; this was something a Chiss like Vlusu could appreciate. This was a definite upgrade over the models in use by the First Order. Thanks to the campaign of destruction visited upon the Chiss Ascendancy by the First Order, much of the advanced technology utilized in the making armor was still being rebuilt for production on a large scale; and even Chiss technology in protection of special operatives paled in comparison to this. The repulsors were also a huge boon to the Chiss Commando Troops, who could use the extra mobility afforded by the suits to execute more complicate tactical maneuvers. Suits like these could turn the Chiss Commando’s, who were already a force to be reckoned with, into soldiers capable of ludicrous feats. “This is, again, an impressive piece of technology. It leaves me eager to see the next article.”

The next suit to be revealed looked more like a small landspeeder than a suit. Even from the outside, it was obvious the plates mounted on it were as thick as on a light vehicle, not to mention the splayed shielding across the joints made it obvious this beast was designed to walk directly into enemy fire without flinching. Each joint had an extended guard so that from the front, not a single gap was visible, even when moving it would present no weak points to target.
-Tartki The majority of this suit's strength enhancement is dedicated to countering its own weight. Even so the sheer bulk makes natural running in it an interesting experience. Difficult to get up to speed, nearly impossible to stop. The expanded size did allow for a much larger power system to be installed though. While the rear plating looks as thick as the front, most of the space is actually dedicated to the power systems. It is advisable not to turn your back to the enemy while wearing this. As an added benefit & to make better use of the internal power, there is a power connection in each arm. This allows things that are normally crew operated weapons to be used individually in either hand.
Tartki paused a moment to look over the suit again, to see if he had missed anything.
-Tartki Of course, using one in each hand will drain the batteries rather rapidly, both in direct energy draw & in countering their weight. Otherwise, the suit can be used as a bulk loader. It can (& in the case of this particular model has) picked up & throw a moderately sized landspeeder a good dozen meters.

Heavy armor. Now this was something the Chiss has lacked for a very long time. With all of the focus on creating expeditionary suits for the Ascendancy Exploration teams, not much effort had been put into creating a heavy powered armor to turn an infantryman into a small vehicle. With the megamaser technology able to be used by a crew on a mounted platform, this here would allow a single heavy soldier to wield one with deadly efficiency. Even the armor afforded by the First Order’s Flame Trooper units paled in comparison to this creation. This put a mental note in Vlusu’s head to not inadvertently anger the Infinite Imperium. Not that he was planning any aggressive actions, but if the First Order ever did decide to invade them, he would try to stay as far away from the conflict as he would be able. However impressed he was, he chose not to show it, instead opting for the more cold, distant demeanour preferred by the Chiss. However, he had no doubt in his mind that the armorsmith would be able to tell that he was impressed. “Please, continue with your showcase.”

The last two suits required far less detail than the other suits. Mostly as he had tried to keep the cost as low as possible to allow for wider production. The last two suits were also very close in design. Both had the standard armor package that would put them on par with a Stormtrooper. In addition to that, they both had strength assistance systems. It wasn't a particularly powerful system, but it would allow one suited soldier to sling another over his shoulder & run like he wasn't carrying anything. That was more or less the extent of the active systems in the first suit. That one would serve as the front line armor. The second had a one other little surprise. It was technically Rakatech, but it was low grade enough that Tartki had felt the Chiss could handle it, especially with the mines they had on certain other planets.
Snapp-Hisssssss
It wasn't technically a lightsabre, technically it was much, much older tech. It wasn't nearly as power efficient as the modern ones. But Rakatech power systems usually covered for that flaw. Of course, these suits didn't have those power systems. That meant the use of it was limited, but it was still one masterful tool for a saboteur to have at their disposal. It also had the stealth gloss of the holosuit, but lacked the holo system itself.
The extra large case turned out to be a ready assembled scanning station so that individuals could be fitted for suits. Unfortunately each suit created would have to be custom fit to each individual. On top of that it would take weeks of practice on the lowest settings for individuals to get used to wearing powered armor. Those not ready could easily hurt or even kill themselves if they weren't properly instructed & ready. The last & smallest crate was a wealth of information. A basic primer on the strength enhancement systems used by the suits. A few other technically goodies that hadn't been implemented, as well as full schematics on how to build the six suit designs already presented.
Officially, this was a private sale from one individual to another. But that was merely a polite fiction in order to keep the First Order outside while the trade went down. Everyone standing in the room knew it, but also knew to play their part to the hilt. That said, the information in the last case was enough that the Chiss would likely be able to start producing runs of the suits within the next month or so. Training with the new suits would likely begin while they were still hold from the forges.
Having finished his own side of the demonstration, Tartki finally takes the seat offered to him at the beginning of the meeting.

Vlusu sat back, contemplating. He, specifically, was contemplating why the First Order’s engineering teams couldn’t produce this level of work. They probably had something like it in the works, but Vlusu knew from the very beginning of this transaction that the Imperium would not provide them with the absolute best they had, as that would be a foolhardy decision, to provide someone with your aces at the start of the game. He would have his engineering teams get to work on reverse engineering the suits, while he got his development teams to work on the data that had been provided. With the Imperium’s side of the deal had been fulfilled, it was time for his side. He pulled a silvery case from behind the desk, it was a case that had been preprogrammed to only open when it was on Lehon. The last thing he needed was an ambitious First Order Officer figuring out about this little transaction. He still knew that he technically wasn’t allowed to do this, but it was a private purchase, and one kept in secrecy at that, so he wasn’t too worried. Still, better to be safe than sorry. Imprinted onto the front of the case was the seal of the Chiss Ascendancy. It was a relic of an age the Grand Moff hoped to bring back to the Chiss, so that they could once again live in peace, furthering themselves. “This case contains schematics and data for weapons and starship technology that have been developed and refined by the Chiss over the years. There is also a large storage container that contains samples of some of the technologies, seeing as we couldn’t fit a starship inside of it. I trust your government will make good use of these.” He placed the case on the table and slid it across to Tartki. He then had his men bring up another silvery box, this one smaller, but still bearing the crest of the Ascendancy. It contained a silver plated, carefully and precisely engraved Charric Pistol. Normally, Chiss would never go through the trouble of doing this for themselves, as they prefer a more utilitarian style of weapons. However, he had made an exception in this case, and had this weapon custom made for the leader of the Imperium. “And here, take this for your leader. It is a small thing, but we hope she likes it.”

Tartki accepts the offered objects with a nod. He was a particularly paranoid sort, so he was glad he wouldn't be the one opening the sealed cases. He had no doubt that proper care would be taken by whoever had that fun tasking. In all likelihood, it was exactly what it was supposed to be. However, that wouldn't stop him from keeping the boxes in a very, very secure hold for the trip back. It never hurt to be sure.
-Tartki Thank you, I will be sure to present it to her when I acquire a chance. I'm afraid I don't have a gift to make in return, as I was expecting this to be purely a business trip. Your hospitality during my stay has been beyond exception. I will speak highly of your people to my fellow citizens. Hopefully, we may have other business ventures in the area in the near future.
Standing from his chair, he bowed slightly to the chiss. Not an exceptionally deep bow, more like an exaggerated nod, but sill a bow.
-Tartki May you walk in unharmed in bloody sand.
Having concluded his business here, he was fully expecting to be dismissed. He was well aware of how busy Governors & the such tended to be. That being what it was, he was quiet used to being dismissed quickly.

“Many thanks to you as well, and I wish you a safe journey back to your homeworld.” Vlusu’s desk suddenly sprang to life as a message came through from the military base. He raised his eyebrows slightly, before looking back up to Smith Tartki. “I’m terribly sorry, I would have normally shown you out myself. However, something appears to have come up. My aide here will show you back to your ship, and my men will assist with loading and such. If you need anything, feel free to ask my aide. There is also a meal that has been prepared for you. I assume you’d be rather hungry after your trip here. Take as long as you need.” With that, the aide walked into the room along with two Chiss guards. He beckoned for him to follow to the elevator.

Tartki would take the time to enjoy a free meal. Hopefully, it was heavy on the meat dishes as few Rakata could stomach much vegetable matter at a time. Following that & the hopefully quick loading of his ship, Tartki would be returning to Lehon. Once there he would have a rather boring meeting were he would go over every detail of the meeting, despite a copy being logged in his skull with his own eyes. After that the techs back home would go over the data & compare it to their own research in the field over the last decades. The gift, after being carefully checked, would likely end up in Aya's hands. Once it was sure not to be booby trapped in any way.

The massive metal and glass spire at the center of Csaplar was, indeed, a sight to behold. The silver and blue color went along well with the ice above them, and fit the relatively austere aesthetic of the rest of the city. The airspeeder set down on one of the landing pads near the very top of the building. Here, atop very tip of the spire, was Vlusu’s Office. Captain Tennyson and his aides were ushered into the buildin. This part of the building was relatively cold, a comfortable temperature for the ice-dwelling people. That was possibly the planet’s greatest defense. An army that was unprepared for a powerful foe could be drawn to the planet before being crippled by the enormous glaciers, terrifying storms, and other natural barriers brought about by the ice. The trio was brought to a small, waiting-room like area, where diplomats could be entertained until Vlusu was ready for them. The representative gestured to an elevator near the back of the room. The entire system was made of glass and provided a breathtaking view over the city as the elevator ascended through the spire (which was made of steel with a section made entirely of glass so that one could look out over Csaplar. “When you are ready, Captain, please step into the elevator. Your aides will have to remain here.”

Wordlessly, the Captain nodded to his aids, who took an at ease stance as he stepped into the elevator. As he ascended and looked out over the capital city, Tennyson cracked a smile for the first time since he had left the planet years ago. His red eyes scanning the surroundings noticing some new additions to the skyline. But the smile faded and he resumed his stoic and emotionless face as the elevator began to slow down. Finally stepping out of the elevator into the Grand Moffs Office. Upon seeing the Moff, Tennyson saluted and remained at attention till dismissed.

“At ease, Captain.” Vlusu sat in his chair across the room from the Captain. As he entered, the Grand Moff rose to greet him. On his desk was a small dossier he had his men assemble for him on the man. He kept records like this of all his me, so that he could go into meetings well prepared. “Captain Fehlaten’Nys’Ondrin of the Light Brigade, I presume. I have been expecting you.” The soft light coming in from the window behind him as the sun began setting over the planet cast the room in a pale blue, as the amount of light filtering through the ice decreased. Already, in several of the skyscrapers, one could see lights glittering from the windows against the silver, white, and blue colors of the skyline. Airspeeders zipped here and there, and trains ran across the massive series of tunnels that cut through the city. “Served in the CEDF as well, before the planet was occupied by the First Order. You certainly have an impressive service record.” He paused for a moment, contemplating for a moment before speaking again. “Humour me for a moment, I must ask, what are your thoughts on their ruling of us. And please, be fully honest, I can tell if someone is lying.”

At the mention of his service, Captain Tennyson nodded and gave a simple, Thank you, sir. But the next statement, or really question, from the Grand Moff was unexpected. Though it was one he had been often thinking about. He assumed a slightly more relaxed posture, his hands folded behind his back, his eyes looking over the Moff before looking past the Moff to one of the windows. Shaking himself back to the present, Tennyson looked to his superior.
If I am to be absolutely frank and honest, I would say that our people are wasted in the First Order. The Empire doesn't seem to be interested in helping us continue our legacy of defending this galaxy from the unknown. True the Vong are dealt with, but there is so much more out there, that if the Ascendancy isn't ready for, will roll over the galaxy again. Now there are some aspects of the Ascendancy's policies I don't agree with, such as the ban on preemptive strikes. But where we are in the galaxy, we are not meant to be ruled over by those half way across the galaxy, especially humans. Never mind those who can not grasp the true purpose of the Ascendancy or that of Thrawn's own Empire.
He spoke evenly and calmly, despite the clear feeling he had for this topic. It had been his hope to see the Ascendancy rise back to be independent, though he was careful to never mention it, given his role in the Imperial military, though he felt safe speaking his mind to a fellow Chiss on their home world.

This was very interesting indeed. Vlusu began to think. Perhaps this Captain would be of more use then he originally thought. All of his men were on board with this, and so he was slowly looking for allies. He knew that, given time, he could rekindle the alliance that the Infintw Imperium and the Chiss had once had. True, they were technically still neutral, but he First Order’s conquest of the region had made the entire affair very tense. He had also heard word of a new Empire rising from the world of Zakuul; perhaps he would be able to count on them as well. But that could wait. For now, he had enough on his plate to not go worrying about a fledgling Empire. “I see.” He paused for a moment, allowing himself to prepare his thought process for if this were to go wrong. “You know, there are certain... people among the ranks that feel very similarly to you. That the Ascendancy should, in fact be restored... but that can wait. For now, I must decide where your talents would be used best.” He brought up a small map of Ascendancy Space, looking over it very carefully. He paused for a moment once again before speaking. “Tell me Captain, are you aware of our... activities along the edge of the galaxy?”

Shortly after the Captain finished his meeting with the Grand Moff, the next visitor arrived. The 'passenger liner' was directed to land in one of the standard pads. It was mostly used as a reroute for ships orbital control was annoyed with, due to its remote position. In this case however, that served Aya perfectly well. The out of the way nature of the pad made it extremely easy to bring the waiting repulsor car into one of the ships loading bays just long enough to board away from prying eyes. At the Moff's office, debarking would take place in a closed hanger.
Only two visitors exited the craft. The first was every inch the traditional mando image, though clad in powered armor. Tahu was the personal bodyguard of Imperator Aya. The second figure was Aya herself. In her usual fashion, she had foregone wearing armor while dealing with outsiders, with the exception of a discrete pair of shoulder guards & wrist protectors. Other than that armor, she wore an extremely light & billowing dress. Even for a cold world adapted race, that would be a challenging wear. Aya seemed to be perfectly comfortable & ignored the cold. Of course, it helped that she was wearing a small personal field generator on her belt that kept a shell of warm air close to her skin, in addition to its normal protective features. The duo would wait for further instruction by the vehicle. It was technically a personal visit, but Aya was more than happy to allow them any pomp they wished to impart.

He opened it, mostly out of curiosity, not expecting it was anything much. Probably some more quotas to meet, or something of that degree. However, he was surprised when it appeared on that Aya D’Ordinni, leader of the Infinite Imperium and recently appointed Mand’alor has decided to pay an unexpected visit. Normally, he frowned on such visits, as he would be receiving them from other members of the First Order, who knew that it was good to tell ahead that they would be visiting. In this case, however, he could make a small exception. Immediately, he ordered a speeder be sent to bring her to the massive spire that rose out of the center of the city. He then ordered a group of guards and a representative be sent aboard the speeder. Finally, he quickly held all other meetings for the next few hours. They could wait. Then, crossing the room with great efficiency, he took the lift down into the bowels of the building, before taking one of the many corridors to the area that had been set out for warm-weather visitors. Presently, he entered that area, took the lift up to his office, and sat down in his chair to wait. The speeder sped to the landing pad, settling down a small distance in front of Aya. The representative stepped out, flanked by two guards. They walked towards her, stopping at the respectful distance.“The Grand Moff sends his apologies for not having someone waiting. Come in, please, you must be freezing. The speeder will take you to his residence.”

Aya was all smiles for the delegation. First off, it was generally a bad idea to be rude to the help. Second, she was actually rather enjoying the scenery. She hadn't ever visited the planet before. She would have to look into procuring a disguise at some point so that she could wander the city more freely.
-Aya Not a worry at all. I understand how things tend to creep up on people in leadership. Please, lead the way.
The two Mandalorians settled into the speeder. Tahu remained silent & hidden behind her helmet, but that was perfectly normal for the rather stoic woman. Aya on the other hand was perfectly willing to chat the trip away with anyone willing.

The speeder streaked through the sky above Csaplar, traveling at such a speed that it wasn’t ridiculously slow, but slow enough that the passengers could admire the simplicity of the Chiss architecture. Though it was extremely minimalist, it was in such a way that it was beautiful in its own right. As they passed over various points of interest, the pilot would point them out, providing the name that had been designated for said locations. They passed by gardens that covered the side of entire buildings, growing a beautiful peacock blue flower that had evolved to survive the relative coldness even this close to the mantle of the planet. They passed by plazas created in a perfect geometric style, and buildings that would seem jarring on any other world, but fit so seamlessly here. The streets below were simple, well-illuminated, and pristine, where the Chiss could go about their business. This place was very different from the opulence seen on many worlds this prosperous; but the Chiss species prided themselves on their devotion to efficiency. Through it all, however, the most beautiful aspect of the city was constantly around them. The soft, turquoise light that filtered through the ice, giving it that hue. Finally, they arrived at the silvery spire that rose from the center of the city. Landing in a small hangar designed for such speeders, which itself was decorated only by the flowery walls that gave off an aromatic scent, punctuated by the steel grey columns and highlighted by hidden lights, was, indeed, very pleasant. The delegation was then ushered into the same hall that was used when Smith Tartki. It was a pleasant temperature inside for non cold-world creatures, underscored by the plants and soft noise created by the aquamarine water beneath the clear floors. The group entered the elevator leading to the lobby area, where the representative turned to them. “Normally, the Grand Moff doesn’t like having armed people when he is speaking to someone, however, in your case an exception will be made.” He then gestured to the door leading to the Grand Moff’s Office. “Whenever you are ready, Ma’am.”
