She wasn't nervous, though part of her felt like she should be, This was a moment she had dreamed of all her life. To be announced as a senator, a player and game changer on the galactic scene. Her would was about to change, as was the lives of everyone else. She was going to be different, make a difference. Those that supported her, she would count as allies and friends, those that opposed , as beings to be crushed. This was the time.
=Herald= May I present for the first time here in Galactic City, Her Royal Highness, Princess Standash Thul of Alderaan, heir to the throne and Senator.
Standash entered the room in an elegant light blue gown. The dress its self accented every one of her features perfectly, it made her eyes radiate all around. It was made of the rarest silks and fabrics. It cost more to make and tailor then the GDP, legal and illegal combined, of some outer rim worlds. The jewels and gems alone made it nearly priceless. Standash was happy about it, it would make a scene, it would get her noticed. Almost as much as she planned to do the rest of the night. This was her day, because she would make it hers. 19 years she had been waiting for this moment, it was now.

He saw Crom'nen. Slime of a man, but trustworthy. You could always trust that he would do what was in his best interest. Alfrick could and did respect that.He mad his way over to where the other senator was. Hello my friend. Alfrick spoke in has deep and gravelly voice. It is good to see the number here for this cause. Crom'nen had to take his eyes of Ludo when the Bothan Senator began to climb the stairs to the balcony where Crom'nen had chosen to wait. In truth, Crom'nen had not yet bothered to do a full background check on the Bothan. It was a shame. Crom'nen hated to interact with someone without knowing everything about them first. He bowed his head, in his typical greeting. Senator Stay'lod, welcome. I trust things on Bothawui are quite. It's been a couple of decades since I've had the pleasure.

Avaro looks at her and lets his antennae sink. Yes they are sure. He snuck into a medical facility at midnight and froze himself solid. Master Nadon seemed to know why he did this. but has never revealed the information to anyone. It came as a shock to everyone on the planet. He had been our protector for a long time. Froze himself? Bel'fima was disturbed at such news. No, no one could have forced Brulax into a cryo-tube against his will. But why? Some vision of the Force to preserve himself to a later century? Or some fear or threat that gripped the Sakiyan so? Visions were more of Oraltor's department than Ruso's, but the Force could act as it willed, or so she had heard. Still, this made little sense to her. She allowed her sadness to creep into her demeanor. That is disturbing, to say the least. I shall miss him. The galaxy as a whole somehow feels more dangerous without him. But we should talk of happier things. Tell me, who is this young human you came with? A Jedi Knight? Bel'fima knew much about Landrin Starholder, probably more than the Rodian, but she had to play along. He was a good person. As for my companion, he was Master Nadon's apprentice. He arrived on Rodia a few months before I met the Grand Protector, but from what I understand he spends more time gambling in the cantinas then working on learning the force. In spite of that, he is a very good man.

From her place on Ludo's arm, Mia looked around the ballroom. It had been entirely too long since she attended a gathering of this magnitude. In spite of all appearances, Mia was a member of Ludo's staff, nothing more. At times he would make it appear in public that the two of them were involved in some form inappropriate relationship, but he made it clear that it was only for appearances sake. She was dressed in a ballgown in the Chandrillan fashion; a very special ballgown. For this was the gown she war on that night six years ago when she was "kidnapped" at the ceremony celebrating her engagement. She never loved the Twi'lek noble her father had arranged for her to marry and sought a way to escape her fate. As luck would have it, she ran into a young man trying to rob her father's estate. The odd thing was that this young man had bypassed all the valuables and sought instead to steal a small music box. This music box had been in the family for generations and had been used to put her to sleep as a little girl. Somehow, at the time, she felt a kind of affinity toward this young man and had asked for his help in escaping the unwanted marriage. She even offered to give him the music box. However, when they arrived at the location the music box was stored, someone else had already swiped it. This had led to three years of pursuit from bounty hunters before Ludo had "rescued" her from Landrin and she had been working for him ever since. The gown she wore tonight was the exact same gown she had worn that night. This was not a replica of that gown, this was the original. There was a telltale tear on the left shoulder. A small tear that would be insignificant to many, but one that could not be duplicated easily. Ludo had somehow come to be in possession of the gown. He was always talking about his games, and somehow she knew she was but a piece in at least one of them, but she was content to serve him for now.

From his right, the shadow spoke. Would you like for me to--? =Crom'nen= No, absolutely not. I still have the trump card this evening. Do not move on him unless he makes a move on me. But he will make no move on me. Whatever he is up to, he's in this for the long game. This is just his next step, not his final solution. Not tonight. Crom'nen then turned to the call down the hall, toward the large Yuzzem. The creature was large, and covered with brown fur. He carried a large serrated Scimitar, allowed at the personal bodyguard for Crom'nen. He was missing one eye, which was covered by a purple bandana instead of an eye patch. He had the size and strength of a Wookiee, but their species spoke basic and were even more primitive and barbarous. =Dunn= Master? =Crom'nen= Bring me that Umbaran. His name is Senator Karesh. Ask nicely. =Dunn= Yes Master. The large beast walked down the stairs, the crowd basically parting around him as he hunted his target.=Dunn= My Master wants you, please. [ Ludo was unfazed by the Yuzzum sent to summon him. He knew that Crom'nen the supposed anti-slaver had procured these bodyguards on Argonar years before when he fed a dealer in twi'leks to the Sarlaacs. I would be honored to speak to Crom'nen. Lead the way. He turns to Mia.Run along my dear, I will return shortly.

The two Jedi spotted Seleevan Khar among the guests at almost the exact same instant, and made immediate eye contact. Kel did not need to exchange a single word with his younger counterpart, Jordan immediately knew what was expected of him.=Jordan Halcyon=Slipping through the crowd as unobtrusively as possible, he made his way to the outer edges of the circle of onlookers that was beginning to form around Koronov and Cass. He kept his presence within the Force dampened as much as he could without endangering his own awareness of his closest surroundings, and there was no ill intent in the Knight's motives, only curiosity and a determination to watch and observe. Opportunities like this were exactly why Master Raganella had brought Knight Halcyon with him in the first place: to gather information and allow Kel the freedom to mingle as an emissary of the Jedi and the Republic, without distraction. ### She wasn't nervous, though part of her felt like she should be, This was a moment she had dreamed of all her life. To be announced as a senator, a player and game changer on the galactic scene. Her would was about to change, as was the lives of everyone else. She was going to be different, make a difference. Those that supported her, she would count as allies and friends, those that opposed , as beings to be crushed. This was the time.=Herald=May I present for the first time here in Galactic City, Her Royal Highness, Princess Standash Thul of Alderaan, heir to the throne and Senator. Standash entered the room in an elegant light blue gown. The dress its self accented every one of her features perfectly, it made her eyes radiate all around. Standash was happy about it, it would make a scene, it would get her noticed. Almost as much as she planned to do the rest of the night. This was her day, because she would make it hers. 19 years she had been waiting for this moment, it was now. As the Senator from Alderaan was announced, Kel's head spun in surprise. This was a development of which he had not yet been advised, and he stretched out his neck in an attempt to see over the crowd and catch sight of the newcomer. Almost immediately, he spotted a blonde-haired young woman in a light blue gown, and then there was a light tap on his shoulder, and the Jedi Master glanced to his left. Aylee was motioning for him to follow her; apparently she was having similar thoughts about the importance of this new arrival. It had been years since Alderaan had held its historic place among the Republic worlds. Princess Thul's appearance was a surprise, but it was the happy kind.A man in green Jedi robes approached Her Royal Highness. He looked to be in his early thirties, was just under six feet tall, and had short brown hair, deep twinkling blue eyes, and the telltale crooked grin of a Corellian. Notably, his lightsaber was not visible, but otherwise he appeared to be a Jedi. Kel had chosen Form Zero for the evening, it seemed. "Welcome to Coruscant, Princess." He said warmly as he extended his right hand. "I am Jedi Master Kel'Al Raganella." He motioned to a young, blue-skinned Twi'lek woman in a sleeveless white dress who stood at his side (but not so close as to imply anything beyond a professional relationship between the two). "And this is my friend, Aylee'saresh. She is first secretary to Senator Dmitri Koronov of Corellia." =Aylee'saresh="Pleased to meet you, Your Highness." The Twi'lek said simply, as she executed a complicated and graceful bow in ancient Coruscanti fashion.### =Sara Ruluwoor=Finding that all three of her companions had melted away into the crowd at almost the same instant, their smaller sizes making it easier for them to force a pathway through the throngs than it was for a Selonian, Captain Ruluwoor instead stood still and used her height to her advantage, searching the room for acting Senator Bel'fima. Admiral Korr had given her explicit instructions to deliver a message from the Corellian Defense Forces to Ryloth's representative. After a few moments, she spotted her target, deep in conversation with a Rodian, and approached the pair, stopping at a polite distance.

Standash give a small curtsy directed at both of them. It is a pleasure Master Jedi. It has been far to long since i was last in the presence of a Jedi. I think the last time I was a little girl. Even then, he never showed me his lightsaber, I have always wanted to see one. You seem more like a light whip person am I right? She had done her homework.
Please, Miss Aylee'saresh Standash pronounces her name perfectly. She may be new to this stage but she was far from unprepared., This is a party, one that is supposed to be about charity even. There will be plenty of time for "Your Highness" and "Madam Senator" And Supreme Chancellor she thought to her self. For now, Princess Thul, or even Standash. Everyone here has a title of some sort, no need to toss them around, there is no one here with one that will impress anyone here.

But, from what she knew of the human, it was safe to say that he was better than many, if not good. She handed the glass of champagne in her left hand (from which she had not even taken a sip) over to the Rodian, but continued to leave her right hand somewhat flirtatiously in the crook of his elbow.Well, any companion of Master Nadon is a friend of mine. Would you mind introducing us? Ludo was unfazed by the Yuzzum sent to summon him. Yes, yes things are quite. A planet whose main import and export are secrets, it tends to be quiet. You should visit. It is a great place to clear your head. It looks like your party is a grand success, it is nice to see individuals rising to the occasion to fix things and not counting on the Republic to fix everything. You know that you have my full support and the support of the Bothan people.
This was political jibber jabber and both would know it, but it was always needed in places like this.
Senator Qoode, it is nice to see you outside of the rotunda. He reaches out a fury hand for a handshake with the Rodian

Everyone here has a title of some sort, no need to toss them around, there is no one here with one that will impress anyone here. Kel'Al was stunned. His use of the lightwhip was not exactly a secret, but he had been out of the public eye for almost five years, and no one outside the Jedi Academy on Corellia had seen him use the weapon in even longer than that. In fact he had been trying to cultivate the idea that he was more of an academic than a warrior. He had not expected anyone outside his circle of friends to have paid any attention to his obscure skillset. But apparently this young Senator had a knack for remembering the unusual. "You are correct, although I try not to play favorites with my weapons." He flashed a toothy grin. "A well-rounded Jedi should have mastery of as many varieties of weapons as possible, whether it be a lightsaber, a lightwhip, a blaster, his fists, or his mind and words." His right hand dropped subconsciously to where his saber or whip hilt ought to have been hanging from his belt. "I'm afraid I'm not equipped for show and tell tonight, but if you're ever on Corellia, the archives at our academy have quite a collection of light-weapons, and if you're extremely lucky, you might even catch me demonstrating the whip to our students." He winked.=Aylee'saresh="Please, Standash, call me Aylee." The Twi'lek's lekku twitched in amusement. She'd never entirely embraced all these formal titles, and while she took great care to be a model example of high courtesy, she was also quite relieved when she had an opportunity to drop the formalities, and speak like a real person. "I believe I speak for almost everyone in the Senate when I say it is a pleasure and an honor to see Alderaan represented among our ranks once more. Alderaan is one of Corellia's oldest allies." She shot a glance over her shoulder toward her employer, and was not surprised to see that he was surrounded by a small crowd, including a large Vor, a strange man with red eyes, and the young Senator from Yavin, S'daya. "I must insist on introducing you to Senator Koronov later tonight, whenever he has a free moment."

Inwardly, Crom'nen thought to himself that he had spent quite enough time around Bothan spies, and he had no intention of returning to that planet, but his face and body language revealed nothing of that.Crom'nen turned and placed his hand on the balcony, looking out over the crowd. Actually, this is not my party at all. If it were, I'm sure that far fewer people would be here, and I would be down there instead of up here. This was organized by some third party who wished to help my people. My office was contacted for a consultation, but mostly we just provided the images seen around the room. He pointed to two Twi'lek ladies meeting people on the floor. There is Koyi Zitan, and she is the host of tonight's activities. While my own charity on Ryloth is distributing funds as quickly as they come in, she is the one who deserves your praise for this evening.

Cass nods to Nicademus From what I have heard, even they no longer treat people like this. Arresting without cause, interesting course of action... And to do it so publicly in front of the rich and powerful. Few things surprise me, but this does.

Standash smiles at Kel's invitation.
That does sound very nice. I do plan on visiting as many Republic worlds as I can. I may represent Alderaan, but I know that I hope to do everything for the good of the Republic. I will only be able to do this if I know the people first hand. I have read up on most all of them, but books and vids never do justice to the people. Am i right?
She takes a glass of champagne from a passing server droid and sips it. The lights make her grand gown shimmer and reflect a rainbow of colors.

=Herald= Ar'lah, Foreign Affairs Advisor, Ryloth Ar'lah was a green skinned Twi'lek, native actually to Coruscant, not Ryloth. She was older and heavier now than she once was, when she had resided on this jewel of the galaxy. She had once been well known in political and social circles of the upper echelon in the Capital. She was a lobbyist, one of the best. Moreover, she was a lobbyist without a cause, but with pull. She had made lots of money as a lobbyist for hire, one without loyalties, but was the person who got things done.
That was until that lack of scruples got her in trouble. She hired herself one time to many. She didn't know that they were terrorists, not at first. Then she thought that she could control them, manipulate them. It worked. It wasn't an issue. But the terrorists were also working for that dreadful doctor...
That was how she met Crom'nen. He was seventeen, a prodigy, and a Senator's aide. He had been sent to her under cover, by Republic Intelligence. But she saw that he was capable of so much more. She had enticed him, taught him the lure of power, but alas, had never been able to bed him. He had tricked her, bested her. He killed the doctor and arrested her. She had never been beaten by anyone before. She had never lost. That drove her obsession with him. After ten years in prison, she got out on a technicality. She pursued him, but he had become so much more that she knew. He arrested her again, this time to a prison on Ryloth. Then she had been disappeared, sent to a hole of his making.
Now she was out. Ar'lah would serve him, out of her obsession mixed with fear of him. She would serve him well, and serve herself. Tonight, her job was simple, to mingle. She had taught the once innocent Crom'nen about influence, power, corruption, manipulation, and everything else it took to be successful in politics. It was safe to say that she hand changed the course of his life. Now, it was the time for her to put those lessons to use for herself.
Ar'lah spotted the battle of wills between the Vor and the human, the conversations among many of the galaxy's elite, and a creature the likes of which she had never seen. She approached it, not knowing it was a Vong.Hello, how are you this evening?

The thin beaked tower, a gargoil of his own building simply looked down on the puny human trying to gather support from a crowd that he just stole from. The security guards started frisking him, and seconds later they would find the lightsaber. He had not moved from his spot, and lightsabers dont just disapear. They arent exactly small appliances either. They would remove the saber, and seleevan would reach for it, claws waving towards himself gesturing to the lightsabers new owner. He takes it, and the hand goes into his sleeve, coming out empty.
He waves them off. The security know what to do. Detain the man for questioning. He is lead away.
Khar himself reaches for his comm, and contacts the closest LAAT unit."Send in a small detachment, six is enough. There is a detainee that needs to be surely detain. Support the native security survice in this task." One of the protection detail LAAT-s land on the closest landing pod and six Trairii descend. These are holy Kharnite Warriors, Vors wearing dark purple cloaks, energy towershield generators, a Blasterhook and utility belt. They are lightly armoured for todays task, so no high explosives.

The knight didn't bother to verbally reply, instead grinning & one hand on her belt. The grin however wasn't one of timidness or happiness, instead it was something even the earliest hominid would recognize: 'These are my teeth & I can kill you with them'. Her hand, which had the thumb tucked into her belt, causally made the thin scabbard at her side shift slightly, drawing attention to it in a subtle way. Head to toe she was projecting body language that said that if five bull rancors stormed the room at that very instant, she would still be the baddest beasty in the room. Aya on the other hand looked vaguely bored with the entire exchange, as if it happened often enough that she already knew what the two were going to say.-Aya By all means lead the way, it is always nice to meet those active in the galactic community. However, there seems to be a confrontation of some kind happening over there. -Koyi- "Great! Follow me hotstuff'!" And she bulldozed through the crowd with the grace of a very polite tractor. Crom'nen was her target, she thanked, sayed hello and welcommed her way through the crowds untill she got to the man. He may have been in a conversation, sure, but when a large and loud beauty comes your way, you usually give her her own space in your conversation, or she simply takes it.-Koyi- "Crom'nen, excure me for my intrusion. I am Koyi Zitan, finally I meet you in person." Then, she stepped aside to show up her new chewtoy.-Koyi- "And this lovely lady with the hulk beside her is Aya D'Ordinii of MandalMines." -Herald- "THE CLOCK IS SEVEN! IT IS SEVEN O'CLOCK!"

Crom'nen bowed in his standard greeting as the ladies who barged up the balcony introduced themselves. His security wasn't doing worth crap. He had waited here, intentionally in the shadows above the party. It had worked well enough. Most people would avoid him, due to his controversial dealings with the Jedi and the Mandalorians. This Mando would not be bothered by either.
Greetings Ms. Zitan, and thank you for putting on these festivities for our people. And Ms. D'Ordinii, I did not have the pleasure during my recent detainment on Mandalore. This is Senator Alfrick Stay'lod of Bothawui.

Cass smiles. The crowd was starting to mermer. There had been no charge filed against Cass and they were taking him. This was not the actions of a Republic.
Your search has found nothing, and yet I am still under arrest? With no charge or grounds for a search either... This is very despotic of you. In view of all these people! You are brave.
The crowd begins to grumble directed at security. "This is a republic!" "There are rights" can be heard among other things.
It seems the people maybe be noticing... And it doesn't seem that they are too pleased...

His pleas are being ignored as he is dragged out. Outside, they meet six armed vor Triarii whom are escorting them to a security station holding cell. It didnt seem clear to him that nobody was intrested in his rambling, now that he had molested other guests, and it was clear he had a lightsaber on him. Sel checked his name with the guest list, just to make sure and there was no match.
He shrugged, ordered an entire bottle of wine and turned towards the Emperror, Senator from Yavin and her escort.
