Maric smirked as the Jedi claimed he wasn't naive enough to trust him. But as the doors exploded inwards, Maric knew that choosing to trust him versus trusting him in the thick of combat was two very different things. Normally, Avernus wasn't one to put himself out on a limb for anyone, but in this instance, it was required. Or maybe it wasn't...he thought as he glanced around. The explosion had shook the whole room and knocked windows out. Barred windows, but an escape route none-the-less. Grinning, Avernus shifted his grip on his saber hilt.
Indeed. Well, perhaps in trusting me, you'd have given yourself a chance to survive this encounter. But alas, you aren't naive enough. Now, as fun as this has been, I really much be going..."
Gathering the Force around him, he extended his left hand outwards and unleashed a wave of kinetic energy, by way of Force Push. In doing so, he vaulted backwards towards the nearest window. Landing on the floor, he spun around and cut a neat square through the barred window, large enough for himself to squeeze through.
"Ta-ta, Jedi. It really is a shame we couldn't have chatted a little longer, but it looks like you'll have your hands full now..."
With a sinister laugh, Maric jumped through the window, tucking and rolling to his feet once he had hit the ground outside. Once on his feet, his lightsaber was in hand, deflecting the barrage of blaster bolts that rained towards him from the group of large beings that were assaulting the building. Expertly deflecting the shots back at their sources, Avernus gathered the Force around himself once more, leaping up to the roof of the building. Landing softly, he extinguished his blade and crouched low to observe the situation...

With a huge grin on his face Brock began to dance around on the roof, batting a few blaster bolts harmlessly into the sky, but generally using his instincts, the force, and the cover his elevate position gave him to simply avoid most of the shots. After a few moments of that he retreats to the more central point of the building, well out of range of a good angle from street level. He takes a moment to draw in the force, letting it permeate his body and beyond, giving him a general sense of his immediate combat area. This was going to be fun. It probably wouldn't meet the approval of Faina and her attempt to be subtle, but that chance was long past gone. With a running start the Imperial Knight masquerading as a Jedi made his way to the edge of the building and simply leaped off, drawing more on the force as he battered aside bolts from the pirates laughing like a lunatic the whole way down. About half way down to the street Brock extends his left arm launching a pair of knives from his sleeve with the force, sending them at nearly supersonic speed into a pair of pirates, using his greater height to avoid the bare cover the speeders gave them at that angle. Drawning back into himself with the force he slams onto one of the speeders with his left fist and right knee as he lands, releasing a burst of kinetic energy that smashes the speeder under him, likely sending anyone taking cover behind it reeling away from a spray off metal and glass as he rises on top of the crushes speeder, spinning his gold blade wildly now deflecting bolts back at their sources instead of harmlessly into the air.Today was turning into such a fun day, although he really shouldn't play too long with these pirates, he did have a mission to complete after all. As the 'Jedi' made his move, chaos ensued. Blaster bolts were fired at the Jedi. Most of them were harmlessly deflected away until he landed on the speeder with aplomb. The priates using said speeder as cover were thrown backwards. No small feat, considering their brute size. Regardless, they continued the fight, firing upon the Jedi, and falling to his expertly deflected shots...
Inside the building, three large pirates charged into the room. Wolfgang himself, pushed through and fired several shots from his pistol. A handful of soldiers and a Jedi were present. And his intended target had just disappeared through the window. With an angry grunt, Wolfgang retreated from the room, allowing more of his men to pile in. He was going to give pursuit of his target personally...
At the spaceport, the Tof pirates stared at him, dumbly."He arrived wit' us. Let 'im pass wit' th' prisoner..."The second pirate nodded in agreement, while the third continued to stare off into space, as if lost in deep thought. Truthfully, he wasn't. While the mind trick wasn't the strongest, it had served its purpose effectively enough. The three pirates parted way and motioned for Panno to escort the prisoner to the shuttle that was coming in...

Above Mastigophorous - Bothan Assault Carrier: Genesis
Standing on the bridge of the Genesis, as the Bothan Assault Carrier plowed it's way down into the planet's atmosphere, Vice Admiral Hargrave of the Galactic Alliance Fifth Fleet began issuing orders.
"Alert @specops and have Havoc Squad prepare for ground-side operations! Arm all countermeasures and prepare to make a hot extraction from here! And get me a line to Midnight Squad! Now!"
In the last few months, the Alliance had went from a tentative, uneasy peace with the First Order to all out war for their very survival. With the First Order moving on Dathomir, the Alliance was gathering over Mon Calamari to take stock in their remaining ships, soldiers and supplies, as well as gearing up for an assault from the First Order that was surely coming, regardless of what the other members of Alliance High Command actually believed. Hargrave had lived this once before, so he was probably one of the few to see what was happening. The systematic slaughter of the Alliance. And then there was Midnight Squad, trapped on the surface with a high value target, being assaulted by pirates, of all things. Undoubtedly, the First Order's Imperial Knights weren't too far behind. An undercover Intelligence Agent was one helluva find, especially right now. There was no way the First Order would allow an asset like that to remain in captivity for too long before sending the best they had to extract them. If Hargrave and his men could get to the high value target and Midnight Squad fast enough, perhaps they could extract before the First Order truly caught on, otherwise they wouldn't be getting far. Reviewing the tactical holo-map before him, Hargrave watched as a Dreadnaught-Class Heavy Cruiser blipped onto their scanners, holding position over the space port.
"Engines, get us in range of that Cruiser. Comms, prep for transmission. Weapons, stand by and prepare for enemy contact. I have a sneaking suspicion this Dreadnaught isn't here to help us."
After receiving several 'aye sirs' from his bridge crew, the comms officer spoke up.
"Sir. I have Major Dexter on the line."
Nodding, he replied in kind.
"Patch him through."
As the Comms officer patched Major Dexter of Havoc Squad through to him, Hargrave immediately barked orders.
@specops, prepare to extract our men from the surface, along with a high value target. Get in, get out and do what you do best. I'm counting on you big time for this one, son. Show 'em what Havoc Squad is made of."
As the Genesis came into range of the Heavy Cruiser over the starport, Hargrave nodded to the Comms Officer as the line was opened.
Attention unidentified heavy cruiser bearing seven-three-four carom two-eight-niner holding steady, this is Alliance warship Genesis approaching on your starboard flank. State your intentions or you will be fired upon. You have two minutes to comply.
Nodding to the Comms Officer, he spoke once more, addressing the crew.
"We are weary, ragged and at the breaking point. But let's just do this by the book and go home for some well deserved R 'n R. Comms, replay that message until the time's up. Weapons, acquire target lock. Safeties off. The second that timer hits zero, we open up on them. I'm not taking any chances here."
As another round of 'aye-sirs' rang out, Hargrave folded his hands behind his back and observed the holo-map, hoping he wouldn't have to fire upon the heavy cruiser ahead of them.

Well that went better than expected. Its a good thing that all pirates were dimwitted and cared only for the simple pleasures. The primal ones.
Walking aboard the ship with the Grandmaster in tow once inside the released his grip on her and handed back her weapon.
Im not sure how many are on the ship but the prisoners would no doubt be held in the hanger bay. Ill get us there and once we take care of any pirates on the ship we spring anyone inside.
Panno walked as he spoke, and pulled out his own lightsaber but left it deactivated for the time being. Once he activated that blade the ruse would end. Leading the way he stopped in the hall just outside where the prisoners were being kept and nodded to Fiana.

Secreting her lightsaber hilt at the small of her back beneath the dark peacoat she wears when Panno returns it to her, Faina arches an eyebrow as, guessing that Panno had meant to say cargo bay rather than hangar bay, she asks her fellow Imperial Knight, "Do you think you can pilot this make of shuttle? Explaining the reason for the question, reminding herself to continue to look the part of Panno's panicked prisoner in case they cross paths with any pirates as they board the shuttle that sets down and then continue to make their way through the craft, Faina continues, Getting the prisoners out of the ship and then out of the starport without any casualties might be difficult, but getting the shuttle out and away without any just might be possible if we could capture it without drawing any attention from the pirates outside." In all likelihood, Faina believes, the shuttle probably has only a minimal pirate presence aboard, enough to pilot the shuttle and secure the prisoners, with any additional pirate personnel most likely aboard only to disembark and reinforce their comrades on the ground already.
"Or does that strike you as a little too crazy?" Faina asks dryly, ever one to welcome the opinions of her fellow Imperial Knights, especially those as seasoned as Panno, and especially given that she has noted that Brock's influence on her tends to bring out a more brash and bold streak within her more habitually cautious nature often permits.

Karrus raised his eyebrows at the Sith's retreat. He had been expecting a hard-fought battle, but surviving to fight another day was an idea he could go with. The darksider had used the Force to propel himself to a suitable exit and the Jedi noted the skilful application of an ability that was normally raw and directionless; an unwieldy expression of power, rather than a skill. He was impressed. He kept his guard up, green lightsabre humming by his ear, as the Sith disappeared. "Until next time, then."
He had a feeling they would see each other again.
More pressing matters were now at hand, and the Jedi Knight turned to the blown-in entrance just to see a hulking figure walk back out, leaving plenty of problems for Drez and Karrus to deal with. He opened his feelings to the Force and loosened his grip on the hilt of his lasersword, following his intuition and allowing his feelings to dictate the direction of his blade in preparedness for blocking blaster bolts that were sure to come his way soon.
"This is a fight that is not worth winning," he said aloud to his new-found ally beside him. "You'll likely lose soldiers and it will be hard-fought. We need an escape route; do you have anything in mind?"

"We'll catch him again soon. No doubt about that, but for now, we need a way to get the hell outta here, Drez! What's the plan?" Jackie shouted anxiously.
A red light on Drez's wrist turned green, indicating that the extraction ship was in the area. "Vorik, go plant a few detonators on that wall now!" Drez ordered.
Izmar had studied the detention center's layout really well, so he figured out what the plan was. Vorik wasted no time in planting the detonators on the wall. Within a minute, the charges were set. "Charges are set. Stand back!" Vorik said.
The squad took cover while the wall blew off. Air rushed out of the gap where the wall once stood, sucking a few objects and debris out as well.
"This was your plan? To jump to our deaths?" Jackie shouted as she looked over the cover.
"You can either stay here and become a slave for the pirates, which I'm sure they'll love that, or you can come with us! You choose." Izmar hollered over the sound of rushing wind.
Drez stood on the edge and looked down. There was a big water fountain below, but could it break their fall? It was about 20 meters away from the base of the building.
'It's a high jump. We're going to have to time this right.' He thought to himself. His HUD had picked up the evac ship approaching the landing pad below.
Drez turned to the Jedi. "Do you trust us?!" He hollered.

Karrus watched incredulously as the wall to their immediate right collapsed. The room they were now in resembled a warzone. He covered his face with his free hand as the debris briefly obscured his vision. He tentatively took a step forward and peered down. He whistled, half-wondering why the enemy wasn't yet shooting at them. "That's a long way down," he said loudly, trying to hear himself over the rushing of wind. He hadn't realised that wall to their right led to a sheer drop, either.
He could use the Force to help cushion his landing, but he couldn't rule out injury. He looked behind him at the line of men and women holding lethal blasters. He couldn't deflect all of them. "I don't see a choice!" Karrus yelled back, waiting to follow Drez's lead. "I hope you know what you're doing."

Drez dropped a smoke grenade to shield off any view of the demolished wall. "I always know what I'm doing. If you trust me, follow us!" He told the Jedi.
Drez and his 3 squadmates took a couple steps back. Drez nodded at the Jedi before suddenly sprinting and taking a huge leap out the gap in the wall. His other 3 squadmates followed right after him without saying a word.

Karrus frowned at the smoke grenade, knowing that the enemy before him would have both seen, heard and felt the explosion of the detonator on the wall and the subsequent debris blown around. It just obscured his vision of what was a very clear hole for him to jump out of. He put his trust in the Force at that moment, in a 'now-or-never' mentality, and followed the troopers into the haze and leaped, and began falling.
This was such a bad idea...

With a wild smile and whirling blades Brock was making a nice mess of the large pirates when something streaked out of the prison and landed on a nearby roof. He hadn't been told that the agent they had been searching for was a force sensitive, but on some instinctual level the Imperial Knight knew that had to be who that was, and he was starting to get a bad feeling about things. With the throw of another pair of knives and about a dozen more deflected bolts Brock pulled the force around himself and launched himself up to the top of the building he had felt the agent going. Blade still lit he cursed at the sight and feel of the man. You have got to be kidding me, they sent me to extract a bloody Sith? Spitting to the side he reluctantly nods to the sith agent. I am Brock Ferrum of the Imperial Knights and I am here to get you off planet.

Drez could feel his velocity exponentially multiply by each split second. While he was just slightly groaning at the air's effect on his body while falling, his squadmates were screaming and cursing. It seemed like it was taking forever to reach the water fountain below, even though it just took a good few seconds. Drez braced for what he knew was going to be a hard impact in the water, and he plunged into the water with a huge splash. His other squadmates dropped into the water around him like rockets. Water rushed into his helmet from seemingly everywhere, but he adjusted himself as he started swimming upwards. He could barely see where he was going, but he knew that the water's density would carry him up to the surface as he swam. A few seconds later, he couldn't swim anymore, meaning he had reached the surface of the water. Still holding his breath, he swimmed towards the edge. Reaching what seemed to be the edge, Drez took off his helmet, allowing a bucket of water, and a small fish, to be filtered out of the helmet. He wiped his face to dry it off a bit as his squad were swimming towards him.
"You know you are one crazy guy." Jackie said, gasping for breath, as Drez helped her and the other 2 men out of the water, each one of them taking off their helmets for a fresh breath of air and a quick air dry.
Drez smiled at her comment before asking. "Where's that Jedi at?"

Karrus felt himself falling, and the sickening sensation that he barely kept from overwhelming his senses told him he was accelerating. He tried to push the panic that was welling up in him back down so he could concentrate on pulling the Force to his aid. He failed in sharpening his focus enough to draw on the strength and mental ability required to cushion his blow. He hit the water, hard, and had to stop himself gulping the water that was all around him.
He drew on his Jedi discipline and re-oriented himself, and swam to the surface, coughing and spluttering as he gasped for air. Karrus wiped his eyes and, though blurry from the water, he could make out shapes - while helmets bobbing up and down on the surface. He swam towards them.
"That was such a bad idea!"

"How's it a bad idea? You're not dead now are you?" Vorik questioned the Jedi. He had expected the Jedi to take the fall better than this.
It seems the Jedi have gotten weaker after Order 66. Izmar judged.
Drez helped Jacquelyn out of the water before turning to the Jedi. "I've expected a Jedi like you to handle this situation better." Drez smirked as he held out his hand to help the Jedi out of the water. "Our ship's here. Are you coming with us?"
A sheathipede-class transport shuttle was their way off this planet. The ramp of the ship had been lowered. Nothing stood in their way of the planet, for now at least.

He grabbed Drez' hand and hauled himself out of the water. Karrus patted down his wet robes, realised it was doing no good whatsoever, and resigned to being in damp clothes for the foreseeable future. He sighed in frustration. Jedi maxims only get you so far, and his emotions were bubbling over his Jedi control. He raised his lightsaber. It was soaking wet. He gestured to it with his free hand and tried to activate it. Sparks pathetically spat from the emitter, and Karrus' eyes glared. "This is why it was a bad idea. It's waterlogged. Won't be useable for days now."
He paused and hooked the lightsaber back onto his belt. "Regardless, you did get us out of a very messy situation. You have my thanks."
What should he do? He had to get back to Picas, but he had no way off world. He allowed his mind to settle and he reached out with his feelings. Sticking with Drez and his warriors felt right, and that was all Karrus needed. He nodded. "I'll tag along."

Panno considered her question for a second. It was crazy yes, but it was better than his idea. Plus it would provide them with a quick escape provided the shuttle had some sort of hyperspace capabilities.
I can take off, landing not so much.
Much of Pannos time had not been spent on flying or training to fly. He had spent most of his days in the forges creating armour for his fellow Imperial Knights. He had a rudimentary knowledge from watching his fellow Knights and the few training sims he had partaken in. So only time would tell if he would be able to fly this ship.
Do you want to wait for Brock or go to the party? Clear the ship of pirates along the way?

The squad quickly ran over and boarded the shuttle. They needed to get away from the detention center, for now at least. Vorik shoved the B1 droid pilot out of the way and sat in the pilot seat.
"Whyyyyyyy?" The droid helplessly whined in it's mechanical, high pitched voice as it fell to the floor, unable to get up.
"I'm never going to let a droid guide me." Vorik barked. He had 3 whole years of bad experience with B1 droids, so he always had a dark spot for them, even if they're reprogrammed.
Drez then turned to the Jedi. "What's your stop?" Drez obviously didn't want to take him to Kamino with them. He wasn't sure whether to trust the Jedi or not, brcause he couldn't let the secrets of Kamino known to the rest of the galaxy, for now. Unless it was absolutely necessary or unavoidable, they'd have to take him with them to the oceanic planet.

Karrus observed the odd treatment of the droid but raised no objections. Karrus would never be cruel, but he held droids as creations with sentient-like programs. This did not necessarily make them sentient themselves. It was a fine line to walk on, but Karrus had yet to see something that disproved his feelings.
The Jedi Knight paused before answering. The last time he saw Picas it was on Dantooine, but he had no idea if he'd still be there. He also knew that the First Order was now in control of the planet and it would not be a good place for a Jedi. He'd have to contact the Jedi Historian and find out where he was, but his commlink did not have enough power to go beyond the immediate region, and the ship probably didn't have the range either. He'd have to use a powerful planetary transmitter.
"I need to contact my fellow Jedi, but I'm not sure where he is. I can't go back to the enclave at Dantooine; the First Order wouldn't be pleased to see me. I'm sorry to say I need to use a friendly planetary transmitter to locate my fellow Jedi. The nearest safe system will do, I just have to hope that I'll be able to find what I need to continue my journey, unless you have any suggestions?"

I am Brock Ferrum of the Imperial Knights and I am here to get you off planet. Sizing up the man before him, Maric grinned at his remark about him being a Sith."An Imperial Knight? I'm flattered. Clearly the Emperor sees my value, otherwise he wouldn't have sent you to collect me...I am Avernus Maric, Imperial Intelligence and Sith. At your service, Brock Ferrum, Imperial Knight."Bowing in an excessively grand and exaggerated fashion, the Pau'an Sith stood up straight and peered over the edge of the building at the pirates below."As much as I am not one to shy away from a fight, my extraction from this dreadful world is more important than dealing with these...mongrels. I trust you have an escape route planned, yes?"While formidable in a fight, Avernus was more reliant on subterfuge and stealth, rather than brute strength. One of the many reasons the Sith'ari had planted him within Imperial Intelligence to begin with. And even if the pirates weren't overly coordinated or tactically minded, their sheer numbers made up for their lack of strategy, which, with one misstep could prove fatal to them, despite the combined might of their abilities.

Midnight Squad was on their way to Kamino, and the nearest friendly system was Geonosis. Despite being a pretty much barren, desert planet, it was under control of a friendly faction: the Grand Confederacy of the Outer Rim. It would for sure welcome the Jedi to use their communication systems, as long as it wasn't to the First Order at least.
"Alright then, we'll drop you off on Geonosis." Drez informed the Jedi as the shuttle's engines started. "There, you will be able to use the communication systems. Unless you contact the First Order, you'll be fine." Drez then turned around and sat in the co-pilot seat.
Drez sent an encrypted message to the leaders of the GCOR, thanking them for providing them with an escape off Drall. He had made the decision to join the GCOR because the Galactic Alliance was too powerless as of now. He also informed the leaders that a Jedi would be arriving on Geonosis soon to use their communications system.
