The following is the list of factions which are currently permitted to use a faction command vessel such as a SSD in Open RP.
Clarification of the Rules Surrounding the Faction Fleet Bonus
Due to past abuses of faction class ships, the Whills have created this thread to more clearly explain and enforce the rules surrounding this privilege. The list of approved factions was compiled after checking the factions' number of default members who are NOT alts of members whose accounts are already set as default in the same group.
To be entitled to the Faction Fleet bonus, a faction must meet the requirements. You may only have one character account per unique IP address set as a default member of any usergroup. Any alt accounts that are members of the same faction will not be counted towards the numbers for bonuses. Non-defaulted accounts will also not be counted.
This means that using an alt account (or multiple alt accounts) to bolster the numbers of a group so that said group can gain faction bonuses is against the rules and considered cheating. We do not mind members creating alt accounts for RP purposes, but when those accounts are used in any way to gain an advantage for your main account or for a faction in violation of these rules then you are subject to punishment.
If you have gained the appropriate number of members then please post a thread in Consult the Whills and your group's name will be added to the list after an audit is completed by the Whills. If your group is not here and you believe it should be then create a topic on Consult the Whills and your case will be reexamined. Other than that there will be NO exceptions.
Requests for faction bonus scans require additional considerations in order for said reward to be obtained. First, if a scan is requested and requirements are not fulfilled, another scan can not be completed until two weeks have passed since the completion of original request. Second, if requirements are still not met, SSD bonus will not be given for another 2-3 week period, giving the Whill Council ample time to make sure said requirements are satisfied over a longer period of time. The reason for the second grace period is due mainly to the nature of the bonus in that it is a symbol of active membership, which can be assured through multiple checks.
Use of Faction Bonuses in Open RP
After being added to the list of approved factions for use of Faction Bonuses, this does not allow factions to automatically make use of their Bonuses in Open RP. To prevent ship-spamming and immersion breaking, we ask that Factions please write out legitimate construction of their SSDs In-Universe. This is to create a paper-trail to prevent abuse or foul play. We also ask that factions use common sense determine if their Faction can actually support, crew, and maintain SSDs before making us of them. For example, a small group of rag-tag smugglers would not be able to support even some of the larger Personal Fleet classes of ships, so please keep this in mind. Factions can save their points until a time when they believe that they can realistically support ships of these sizes.
While leeway is given to accommodate fun and interesting RP, please keep in mind that if a complaint is brought to the Whill Council regarding abuse or infractions, Factions may have their Bonus privileges revoked or taken away until such a time as the Whills deem otherwise. Final judgment and any action(s) taken rests with the Whill Council.
Thank you for your cooperation.
