Located just across a newly built road from the Temple of the Whills, stood the Sithies Hall for 2017. From the outside, it looked like a massive domed structure. Inside, the front half of the dome was dedicated to a large gathering space, with bars dotted across the space, along with food stands, couches, and several areas with restaurant style tables and chairs. The second half of the dome, was dedicated to a massive atrium that had several levels of seating, with the area closest to the stage being filled with booth style seating

Wilhelm tossed open the doors to the Sithies Hall, causing several fireworks launchers to go off. The red carpet rolled out down the front stairs and along the boulevard between the curb and base of the stair case. Reporters were kept behind red velvet rope.
Wilhelm watched with a smile as the opening proceedings played out, before heading back inside the Hall and going for a stroll. The final year of the Sithies had begun. It had been a couple years since the last one. But he was as excited as ever for it. Especially since this year was to celebrate the 10 years of JvS

60 starfighters crosses the sky, escorting the solar sailer as it’s magnificent sail caught the solar radiation, propelling it gracefully through the air. As the ships approached the landing area, the starfighters pulled ahead, preforming a complicated series of loops, spins, and pirouettes before setting down on the ground. The Serenno Guard stepped out of their fighters. Dressed in their ceremonial garbs, they were quite a sight, with blue metal plating and golden highlights. Wielding their swords across their back, they stood in orderly rectangles as the Count’s ship set down. As he exited, the anthem of Serenno was played on trumpets. The Count, dressed in his most ceremonial clothes, strode down the boarding ramp, stopping just after he stepped onto the planet surface. The droids drew their swords and crossed them above the head of the Count. He walked through the temporary tunnel created by the swords. The metal on his suit glistend in the moonlight as he entered the hall. The formation of droids put their swords on their backs before following him in an orderly 2x25 formation.

*The Sithies meant one thing: Culex was able to once more take a fully physical form and experience all the pleasures that came with that.
Of course that meant food.
Thus, the odd demonic-ish being with the purple crystal skirt barreled through the air, soaring like a rocket, towards the front entrance of the Sithies. He gave no regard for anyone standing in his way, pushing straight past them as the doors blew open, a huge gust sweeping through, heralding the arrival of the voracious AI-turned-physical-entity. He glanced back and forth before immediately spotting the nearest food stand. Zipping over so fast it resembled teleportation, Culex began to consume everything within reach.*

*Wasn't he just on Tython? He supposed the reasons were different... and IC. Truth be told he hadn't expected to be returning to this particular event, but it had been a surprise invitation, to what may be the true and final Sithies. A shame, in a sense, but understandable. He'd just have to help make the most of the event.
Thus he arrived, without much fanfare. A simple arrival for a simple man—* "Wait, who are you calling simple?" *he asked no one in particular. He looked around, got no answer, then shrugged as he strode into the main hall, dressed in only the most dignified of garb... a hot pink tuxedo. Why? More like, why not!
Thus he— Wait, already used that. Then, he simply milled about, with whoever else in the Calmcacil clan was/will be convenient enough to join him or to match whatever situation that the event demanded.*

Mary entered the hall in a explosion of unreal colors as she used her vast future telekinetic powers to rip a hole in space & time & appear at the event. She was dressed only in the physical manifestation of her powers, twisting the light around her to give the appearance of floating, otherworldly robes made of shimmering light.

The woman in green at the bar regarded the newest arrivals with only the smallest of chuckles. There was always something endearing about the flashiness of some of these....constructs? Characters? She never had decided what to call them when she was on their plane. But still, using a non-canon storyline as an excuse to dress in pure light was pretty good. Even after all these years, after all the affected dignity and pretension, some of them never quite lost the old flair. She gestured at her empty glass; it refilled in the space it took for most mortals to blink, condensation forming quickly from the chilled whiskey. She nursed the glass lazily, making a point to pull her sleeves back from her wrist so they wouldn't get damp. She wondered vaguely why she'd gotten such long sleeves this year--yes, they contrasted well with such a low back, and the profile they cut was actually quite spectacular. But still. Such a stain risk.
She was halfway through her next glass when she sat upright, and snapped her fingers. "Oh, right!" she exclaimed brightly. "Almost forgot." She pointed at the stool next to her, and there was a girl there. There was nothing to it other than that simple gesture--no flash of light, no crack of uncanny thunder--no, it was more like someone had cut two clips of film together, without bothering to add in a transition. One second, the stool was empty. Once she pointed, a girl was there.
"Hello, Vida," the woman in green drawled as the girl made a noise somewhere between a squawk and the word What, and almost fell off the stool. "Don't worry, I didn't give you heels this time."
The girl--Vidalu Na'an--quickly righted herself on the stool, checking her body with both hands. "Wha--where--" she said breathlessly, her hands crept up to the sides of her head. Her fingers had to slip through a mass of wavy hair to feel at her ears. "What the--" She whipped her head around, taking in the opulent hall with something like confused terror until she saw the women in green grinning at her.
"Oh, god, not now," she moaned, her fear clearly dissipating into harmless annoyance. "We were in the middle of something, and they're doing one of these?"
The women in green's smile widened. "Oh, shush. I'm pretty sure this is the last one anyway. This place isn't what it used to be." She huffed her disapproval into her whiskey, although it didn't seem to stop her from finishing the glass.
"I wouldn't know." Na'an was looking more closely at the hall, with the discomfort the women knew so well starting to creep in now that she knew where she was. "But you know how I feel about these things. It's...creepy."
The woman shrugged, and pulled down her sleeves. "Yeah, well, it's not your call. Besides, everyone enjoys a little masturbation. You should see the Oscars."
"...Oscar?"
"Don't ask. It'd just break your brain if you knew." The woman in green waved her hand at Na'an, who proceeded to scowl at that just as much as she was scowling at the rest of her. "And stop making that face. It's not like you have to be at this thing by yourself this time. You have a date!" Before Na'an could ask, she pointed just behind her, to where Leigh was suddenly standing. The droid took to her sudden existence in an opulent dome for the ultra-rich with much more poise than the little human; she merely looked around, made a small surprised noise, and noted that she had been polished to a perfect, inexplicable shine.
"Well, then. I guess this is where we are for a while," she said. To the woman in green's endless amusement, the droid also seemed to find Na'an's flustered spluttering in response to be a little cute, and cause for laughter.
"Too true, Leigh," she said, summoning a martini glass this time. "This is where you are. I'm glad your last win seems to have inured you to the experience, at least. Maybe you can get my girl to enjoy herself for a few hours If you're lucky, you'll even see a few familiar faces, maybe have some fun for once in your sad lives."
Na'an's face was slowly turning red. "You're the reason my entire life is a garbage fire--"
"No time for that now!" The woman stood, revealing her dress's spectacular back, and pulled Na'an to her feet. "It'll be starting soon," she said softly. "Go, and say hello. Or stay, and drink until your category comes up. Either way, just appreciate it." She stroked the side of Na'an's face tenderly, her smile taking on a motherly tone. "At bare minimum, try to enjoy being this pretty for a night. I always did regret not giving you a chance in your real life."
Na'an hesitated at that, flushing slightly. It was an oddly vulnerable confession, coming from someone like the woman in green. But then the moment passed, and what the women said finally seemed to sink in. Na'an's hands replaced the woman's, clutching at her eyes--her two real, human eyes--before looking to Leigh in wonder. Leigh smiled back, her hologram snapping on with a wink. The woman in green's laughter echoed between them, although she was no longer there; she had left the space between them in the space between two seconds, as thoroughly as if she had never been there at all.
"Yours is a strange one," Leigh said mildly. "Although she has good taste. This dress...it is cute."
Na'an nodded, and almost smiled. Then what Leigh said sank in. "This wha--" She looked down at herself, her blush returning in full force as she took two fistfuls of filmy, almost translucent material.
"What the kriff did she put me in!?!"

There was a brief flicker as Mary ceased to be by the door & reappeared by the bar. For a split second, her 'robes' remained floating where she had been standing before dissipating. Her new 'robes' took a bare (if you know what I mean) moment to reform, this time in around four dozen colors & shades of red.
-Mary Hello gorgeous. Can I get you a drink?
There was a second set of flickers as a glass appeared in Mary's hand & then a small cylinder of liquid appeared in the cup. One of the bottles along the back wall gave a quiet gurgle as the liquid left inside settled in to fill the new gap.

*These events were stuffy, crowded, and boisterous. A large part of him considered leaving, considering "partying" was not in his nature. No, he was not a celebratory man in the slightest. But he had also been made aware that other members of the First Order were nominees, as well as himself for yet another award. And so, with some reluctance, the brooding Knight of Ren remained a part of the gathering in the main hall.*

Like Soku Ren, Nicademus Delvardus, Supreme Commander of the First Order, never enjoyed these stuffy, crowded and boisterous events. As he enters the main hall, dressed in a simple black fabric military uniform, adorned with the emblem of his faction upon his right shoulder, the Imperial felt the desire to return to Muunilinst and enjoy a war planning session with his senior commanders. Yet, it would be impolite, unfortunately, to not come, especially given that he was among those nominees from the First Order. He had seen the polls, which gave Nicademus a great surprise to see where he stood.

"This is a horrible idea." Adelle tried to follow the shifting shadow that fussed over her with her eyes, but it circled around her too fast and wouldn't stay kriffing still.
"Déjà vu," the shadow said. It seemed to run hands through nonexistent hair despite its feline shape. "Back to this again, I guess." Then, louder, "No, it's not a horrible idea. Quit complaining."
"I'm not complaining."
The shadow stilled in front of Adelle. The Jedi Knight couldn't explain why but she got the feeling the shadow raised an eyebrow at her assertion. Adelle stuck out her jaw and folded her arms over her chest.
"Now you're just being childish. It's just a fancy thing for fancy's sake. Play along and play nice."
"You can't make me."
Again that raised eyebrow feeling. The shadow touched one of her tanktop's straps and it unravelled. Despite of Adelle's cry of "The hells!", the shadow continued to unravel the straps. As it did, blue fabric cascaded down her chest like a waterfall flowing to the floor. A band of the same fabric reached up over her left shoulder as silver dewdrops grew from nothing to glitter like stars along the neckline. A split appeared in the flowing fabric along her left leg, stopping at her thigh. Her back shivered with the cold brush of a breeze and Adelle realized her hair had been wound up into a neat bun at the nape of her neck. Weight hanging from her ears told her that earrings had been magicked into place. The shadow stepped forward, a silhouette similar to Leigh, and used her thumbs to smooth out the skin beneath Adelle's eyes, the wrinkles on her forehead. It stepped back as if to admire its handiwork.
"Much better."
Adelle scowled. "How am I supposed to walk in a dress and cargo pants?"
"What pants?"
Swears in multiple languages escaped Adelle as she realized the shadow had indeed removed her pants, in addition to her lightsaber. The shadow twirled it in its fingers and then slid it into . . . thin air?
"Look. You're here to have a bright moment in your life for once and to cheer on your friends," it said, looking more human all the time.
"You mean your friends."
The shadow shrugged. "Same thing. Just try to have fun. Drink. Dance. Kiss a girl. Or don't. This is your chance for fun."
"And I wonder who spoils it for me in real life."
"Hey, I have a plan!"
"Sometimes I'm not sure."
The shadow pressed her finger against Adelle's chest and pushed. The Jedi Knight stumbled back, trying not to fall down in the evening gown, and backed into someone. She turned and almost blinded herself from the dazzling—pun intended—dress made of pure light. She threw up a hand to shield her eyes. Glancing back, the shadow was nowhere to be seen and she was suddenly in another grand hall.
"Sorry," she said. "Just trying to get a drink."

The woman in green was not the only attendee with powers that defied reality. One man, sporting blue hair and a blue hoodie, was also patrolling the bar area, his hands in his hoodie pockets and a smirk on his face. I suppose one could call him the man in blue, but would that sound too close to the woman in green? Who knows. Regardless, he was there, watching the comings and goings around him, until at last he spotted some familiar faces. Did he approach them, you might wonder. Did he acknowledge them, wave, do anything to indicate said familiarity?
Nope! He pulled a hand from a pocket and issued a casual wave to the side, chuckling as he did so.
"Behold, a new challenger approaches."
One moment he was in the Jedi Base on Felucia, and then the next he was standing near a bar, around a lot of people that seemed dressed far too fancily for his liking. There was a man his height chuckling and talking about challengers, and..
"Is that Na'an?"
He laughed. "That's the first thing you notice? I don't blame ya, she looks great. And different. Heh, your sis made a move on her last time she was at one of these things."
"Yeah, she-.. wait, what?"
"Don't play dumb, you heard me. Congratulations, your sister's a lesbian, welcome to reality." While Cao spluttered again, the man in blue looked around and chuckled once more. "Or rather, welcome out of it, please enjoy your stay!"
This was a bit too much for his liking. Then again, there was an easy solution: there was, after all, a bar nearby, an-..
A hand clapped on his shoulder.
"That's the spirit. Enjoy the booze. It's free, and you'll probably need it when you realize what I put you in."
"Wait, wha-.."
"You gonna keep saying that, or you gonna enjoy the party?"
The man flicked his finger, and Cao suddenly found himself seated at the bar with a glass in front of him. The man kept smirking as he walked along, calling back over his shoulder to his pet Jedi.
"Have fuuuuun~"
True to form, Cao still hadn't registered his outfit change..

*Part of the Calmcacil clan was, of course, Morgan Calmcacil, who wouldn't ever miss a Sithies. Even if they've been on hiatus for some time. She was saddened that this was the final one that they knew of, but she had been beginning to think the previous event from two years ago was the last one, so... at least there was one more?
She entered the hall dressed, as usual, in a simple, sleeveless purple dress, her favorite color and as fancy a dress she would allow herself to wear. But she was not alone this evening, for she was accompanied by her close friend Delaney Vada, the half-Zeltron wearing an orange dress to complement her blue hair. She walked arm-in-arm with Morgan and looked around with amazement at all the sights, sights that Morgan was quite used to by now, causing her to giggle at her acquaintance.*
"You really know how to go all-out on a first date," *Laney teased, grinning at her.
This caused Morgan to blush immediately and stammer out,* "I-I try, I guess?"
*Laney giggled and opted not to embarrass her further as they mingled with the crowd, Morgan opting to ignore the fact that their nemesis had just won an award. Other than that, she was going to enjoy this year's Sithies and make the best of it.
After she took a quick detour to briefly glomp Kevin.*

Having been bumped into from behind, Mary turned around & planted a quick kiss on the lips of the female behind her.
-Mary Aren't we all?
There was a decidedly flirty wink as a certain hoodie caught her eye. She took a moment to pinch the rear of a tux clad jedi that appeared next to her.
Off to one side, a rather heavily scarred, short woman appeared. Like most of the other avatars, she was dressed decidedly casual, sporting a strange mix of several camo patterns, mostly greens & greys. She also appeared right behind the certain hoodie, giving him a light tap on the back of the head. Just enough to let him know someone was behind him.

Aderon mingled only in very specific social circles. Namely those of powerful, wealthy individuals. He noticed several people who caught his interest. Namely, a profusely blushing 12 year old, a strange looking fellow who had recently devoured his droids, and a brooding Knight of Ren. A curious group they were. He would have to find out about them later. Right now, the writer is more interested in meeting some more influential figures. He had heard that the leader of the First Order was here; perhaps it was time to make his acquaintance.

Adelle blinked and stepped back from the strange woman as she winked and flounced away after the sudden kiss. If that's how the night was starting, this definitely was going to be a party. Then she saw Na'an and Leigh and felt a flush crawl up her neck and burn into her cheeks. She avoided eye contact and promptly made for the bar, ordering a glass of whiskey.

An awards ceremony. Not the type of event one would normally associate the High Admiral of the First Order with. But circumstance and a little bit of fate had other plans, it seemed.
Dressed in his High Admiral's dress uniform, the freshly pressed black armorweave uniform was immaculate. Accented with gold clasps and trim, the High Admiral was the vision of the First Order's Navy High Command. Golden epaulets adorned his shoulders, sparkling medals and campaign ribbons from various missions in service to the First Order shone from the left side of his chest. And a brilliant red sash ran from his right shoulder across his chest and looped bak up across his back.
This was a time to make nice, after all. Even with the war on, public appearances were important.
Even if the Zabrak only recognized people by name and not by appearance, it was time to enjoy himself, if at all possible. And with Lady Novax on his arm for the evening, elegantly dressed the way one would expect a lady of her position to be, things weren't going to be so awful. After all, Nicademus was here as was Soku Ren. Not that he cared much for the latter, but still. It was good to see everyone taking some time away from their duties and focusing on relaxing. Every good tactician knew that constant war drained morale. Events such as this were a good booster and reminded everyone what they were fighting for. The High Admiral continued to wander the gathering, interacting with civilians and dignitaries alike, drink in hand.
