After many texts, PM's, and a single long Skype phone call, the users and leadership of the new Resistance user group have decided to put away past differences, and join the GA as a sub-faction. The Resistance exists to rehabilitate planets, and the fact that a group of writers is struggling to keep their faction afloat is not lost on us: the spirit of the Resistance has always been to facilitate RP and site wide growth for JvS. It would thus be hypocritical and petty to the extreme - the very things we were trying to get away from - if we didn't do everything we could to revitalize such a longstanding faction.
I'll say on a personal note, that it warms my heart that such a large group of people here on our dear site are capable of putting aside their differences, and move on for the betterment and greater good of the site; a site we all love dearly, and want to see exist for another ten years.
For those following along - and I know there are certainly several of you - the Resistance IS still going to be made. Leadership is unchanged, plans are unchanged; we will simply be operating under the GA umbrella, with an extremely high degree of autonomy.
