Dr. Mitzi Kuhn, the Ekundayo's medical officer, is, befitting her ethereal appearance, often appears remote and distant to those who do not know her well, which is due more to her innate shyness than any other factor. Vashity will learn little from Mitzi, save for the overall impression that the woman's life seems to have changed little in the wake of Agamar's occupation.
Of the occupation itself, the presence of Mandalorian and First Order troops at the loading docks and in the nearest city is, while quite visible, far from oppressive, and will suggest that the Mando'ade, by and large, have a more active role in the day to day management of Agamar's affairs. Should Vashity turn to the holonet or other local media in the course of her intel gathering, the Jedi will be left with the overall impression that the Mando'ade view and treat the agriworld as a resource to be cultivated with care more than a world to break or crush; where possible the people of Agamar are permitted to go about their business with little change since the occupation, save that the vast majority of the profits from major planetary businesses as well as of the natural resources of the world go to the Mando'ade and the First Order now.

Some of the most recent interactions between the Mandalorians and Imperials that jointly occupy the world was a friendly competition, a war game declared between two battalions of the occupying forces. A number of commanders, from both factions, came to witness the style of tactics and formations utilized by the First Order and the Mandalorians. A recording of this interaction sent to the Supreme Commander to review the good ties between the Mandalorian Clans, allied with the Imperials, and the First Order.
In fact, the exercise went so well that the commanders of the garrisoning troops declared that they should make this a mandatory and monthly event, to keep the troops honed and their skills sharp. For even though Agamar was well-protected, it sat upon the border of the Imperial Sector and could easily become a target for the Rebel Alliance. As such, the garrisoning forces needed to ensure top quality troops to defend the world.

Just as it did not take Vashity long to discern from her brief, predominantly one-sided conversation from Doctor Kuhn that the Ekundayo's medical medical officer would be of little, if any, use as a source of useful intel on the situation on Agamar, ever a cursory perusal of media sources available to the general population of the world, no doubt sanitized to some degree by the forces occupying Agamar, suggested to her that she will have her work cut out for her where gathering accurate, useful, and/ or actionable intelligence was concerned.
In the immediate days following her arrival, then, Vashity patiently and carefully set about her assignment in earnest. Even though the occupation of Agamar, at a glance, appears to be less oppressive than it could be, history suggests that some kind of resistance movement will undoubtedly be present and active despite the fact that the almost certainly sanitized media makes no mention of such a movement nor reports on any events which could be attributed to a resistance movement. Finding a means of contacting the resistance she can, as yet, only surmise must exist, is therefore one of the goals Vashity sets for herself as, in order to maintain her cover identity, she goes about her business as the Ekundayo's engineering officer. Her cover requires that she spend a great deal of time at the loading yards, providing opportunities for her to listen for any news the local staff or crews of returning or departing vessels might have come by in their travels or by virtue of the activities they are privy to given the nature of their work. Ever careful not to give the impression of openly seeking information, Vashity began her intel gathering by allowing it to take place organically.
When not at the loading yards, Vashity, one proverbial ear to the ground at all times, frequented local tap cafs and cantinas in the hope of uncovering clues as to how she might go about making contact with any resistance which might have been formed in the wake of Agamar's occupation. Knowing how work such as hers, especially when involving a new posting where there are no preexisting resources for her to utilize, can often be frustrating and dull, Vashity knew going in that she would need vast reserves of patience, and so cultivated a long-term view enabling her to go about her work with the same patience, competence, and care she always strove to maintain; past experience having taught her that her path is bound to, sooner or later, cross that of someone able to provide useful information of one kind or another.

The undercover Jedi Investigator's patient approach is rewarded, after a fashion, in time. The loading yards the Jedi works in as a means of keeping her cover identity intact are also utilized by some of the ships in Ishild's fleet, and the Mandalorian patrols are supplemented by Stormtroopers from the First Order's visiting fleet. Though the troopers are disciplined, and unlikely to openly discuss anything that could pose a potential threat to the fleet in orbit awaiting the Knight of Ren they have been sent to link up with, they grumble and grouse amongst themselves. Some of the unguarded chatter the Stormtroopers indulge in might prove somewhat useful to the Jedi, vague as it is. For instance, the Jedi might overhear Stormtroopers wondering aloud how long their fleet will be stuck on Agamar, complaining that their upcoming shore leave is not in the capital city as that of higher ranking officers has been, or hoping that the mysterious being that they have heard the fleet has been sent to rendezvous with does not arrive before their allotted shore leave time arrives. Overall then, the most useful intel the Jedi will learn of is that a visiting First Order fleet in orbit over Agamar awaits the arrival of of someone.
The Investigator's visits to cantinas will add a few small details to what she learns at the shipyards, discipline somewhat more lax in such settings as First Order officers and troops on leave indulge themselves. The Jedi might, for example, learn that the being the visiting fleet waits for is an unnamed or unknown Knight of Ren. The Jedi might overhear Ishild's rank and surname mentioned in passing, or perhaps that of her XO, Commander Brandt, though neither name is likely to mean much to the Jedi given that Ishild and her XO are not as widely known as other First Order fleet commanders could be.

The Upset Mugruebe Tapcaf
Manon Proulx, present for her "retirement" party only due to a stubborn refusal to let the powers that be have the satisfaction of seeing just how terrified she is that silencing her by forcing her employers at a small, local holonews agency to terminate her employment will not be the end of the matter. Forcing a smile as she excuses herself from her colleagues - former colleagues, she mentally corrects herself - Manon walks to the bar where she orders a Tevraki whiskey and lingers for a moment to enjoy it in solitude. Aside from the outright execution of the Agamarian Council during the occupation of her homeworld, Manon reminds herself, there has been little enough violence against the native populace, and while she has heard of other reporters, media figures, and vocal detractors of the occupation being fired or threatened, she has yet to hear of anyone simply disappearing. Which, Manon cannot help but think, may only mean that the occupying forces are simply good at covering such incidents up.
Sipping her whiskey, Manon winces as she overhears her managing editor loudly declaring that it is unfair that he was made to fire Manon for having the temerity to submit an article about a recent guerrilla attack on a refinery, in which she posited that the attack, and others rumored to have occurred at other locations of military or economic value to the occupying forces, suggested a resistance movement comprised of remnants of Agamar's defensive force. In hindsight, Manon admits, submitting the article when either First Order or Mandalorian officers oversee what all major media outlets are permitted to print or air was not the wisest decision. Fortunately for her, Manon thinks, her article had not detailed everything that she has learned about the resistance.
Scanning the faces of other patrons of the small tapcafe, including, unbeknownst to Manon, that of an undercover Jedi Investigator, for any hint that her managing editor's tirade has drawn undue attention, Manon laughs softly to herself when she realizes how paranoid the thought is, only to sigh a moment later as she realizes that she may not be paranoid enough. Meeting the eyes of one of her colleagues, Manon glances pointedly at her former editor to silently suggest someone either shut him up or get him on another topic, and then takes another sip of her whiskey while trying with minimal success to tell herself that she is only being paranoid.

Having made mental note of the few tantalizing tidbits of information she overhears about a fleet of the First Order having arrived in orbit over Agamar recently for purposes as yet unknown, Vashity initially attaches less importance to digging further into it than she does to learning what she can about any resistance movement on the planet; Agamar's location making it an ideal point for resupplying, refitting, or repairing First Order ships coming from or preparing to embark on operations throughout the universe. It is only when she learns of the rumor that the fleet is awaiting the arrival of a Knight of Ren that Vashity begins to think the visiting fleet may deserve more of her attention, though she knows that gathering further intel could be difficult, if not impossible. The names of the visiting fleet's commanding officers rings no immediate bells when Vashity learns of it, though she makes a point of committing the names to memory so that, when the opportunity to report in presents itself, she can be as thorough as possible.
Present in the Upset Mugruebe when Manon's retirement party takes place, Vashity feels that her chance to learn more of the resistance movement she has suspected must exist despite the fact nothing in the obviously sanitized media has lent credence to her belief. Listening in on what the group with Manon converses about without obviously doing so, Vashity overhears the editor's comments and wonders how best to learn more about what the reporter he speaks of knows. Determining who the reporter fired for pursuing a story about the resistance is proves simple enough, a mere matter of watching the interactions of the group long enough to see that Manon is the one being given a farewell. Less readily determined, for Vashity, is how best to approach Manon and endeavor to learn more. Manon's behavior suggests a clear sense of concern that she may be in some degree of danger, even without using the telepathic gifts the Force grants Vashity to subtly or more directly pry into her thoughts, and Vashity briefly wonders if she might be better served by learning where the reporter lives so that she can try to gain access to her work rather than attempting to approach the woman herself in order to learn more of what she knows.
As Jedi Investigators can make use of guile, deception, or even force when they have no other recourse in the pursuit of their missions, Vashity sets aside her innate distaste for such things as, deciding to get a better feel for Manon before settling on how to gain access to what the reporter knows, she prepares to pretend to be someone she is not in order to get closer to someone under one pretense or another, which in this instance, at least to begin with given that the guise she approaches potential sources under is mutable by necessity, is that of someone offering a perfectly innocent friendly ear.
For the moment pretending to be oblivious to the fact Manon is a part of the group around the editor to avoid revealing that she has been intently listening in on them, Vashity walks to the bar, stopping near Manon without seeming to notice her at first as she orders a whiskey for herself. Once her drink has arrived, Vashity takes a drink, stretching out her awareness of the Force in order to subtly gain a general sense of Manon's emotions and thoughts to best adjust her approach if necessary, and then, appearing to note that Manon appears somewhat stressed, asks innocently in a friendly tone that is casual rather than overly prodding, "Rough day?"

The Upset Mugruebe Tapcaf
Looking over at the Chalactan woman that speaks to her, Manon smiles with a shrug and says, "Could always be worse, right? Before she can say anything else, Manon's datapad chimes to alert her to a newly received message, and she says, Excuse me," before taking the device from the pocket of her jacket and reading the holonet message.
The Jedi will have been able to sense Manon's concern that her article could wind up costing her more than just her job, as well as the initial sense of excitement she feels when reading that one of her sources has news regarding something happening in Calna Muun. The excitement fades quickly, however, as Manon remembers that she is technically no longer a journalist; whatever her source has for her more likely than not something she has no way to use. The message, necessarily vague given the occupation of Agamar, is worded in such a way that Manon knows it involves the First Order fleet which arrived not long ago, which means that the information might benefit the resistance. Mentally debating the wisdom of meeting with her source in hopes of passing on their information to the contacts she has in the resistance, Manon, an investigative journalist at heart, is ultimately unable to resist the chance to learn what her source has discovered; even if she can no longer write, Manon's innate curiosity will not let her pass up an opportunity to pull back any curtains that present themselves. The Jedi, depending on how much she probes, will be able to easily glean that Manon's thoughts after reading the message turn to the resistance, Calna Muun, and the First Order, giving her at least a hint of where Manon will be heading.
Finishing her drink, the Chalactan forgotten as she feels the familiar drive to pursue a story set in, Manon goes over to say goodbye to her co-workers, and then leaves the tapcaf for her speeder outside, bound ultimately for Calna Muun.

Not knowing the particulars of a job has never particularly bothered Toiréasa. The squad's Ruus'alor, Zdzislaw Tenau, has led Toiréasa and her squad-mates to haran and back many times, and she has learned to trust that he will let them all know what they need to know when they have need of it. Looking over towards Jedrzej Skirata, the squad's scout, Toiréasa is amused to see that he has the predictable annoyance and discomfort with not knowing as much as possible about what they will be asked to do evident enough in his posture that she does not even need to see the expression beneath his red buy'ce.
Patting Jedrzej on the shoulder as she passes him on the way to gather her gear when Zdislaw has finished informing the squad of the job they have been hired to do, or at least as much of it as he was told of himself, Toiréasa says, Udesiir, Jed.
When next she sees Jedrzej, as the squad boards their Kom'rk-class fighter, the Muun Orar, he appears somewhat more composed as he speaks with the squad's baar'ur, Berach Carid, the two having fought together for many years and often inseparable.
Once all members of the squad are aboard the ship, with the squad members that are a part of the crew taking their stations while the other squad members stow their gear and take their seats, Toiréasa, their pilot, and her co-pilot, Ksenia Itera, take the Muun Orar out, making for orbit where they are to dock with the First Order vessel to meet with their latest employer.

Eimhear Itera, leader of the platoon of Mandalorians in charge of the security of the loading yard where routine shipments of shipbuilding and engineering materials, as well as other resources are prepared for transport to Manda'yaim, oversees the loading of the latest shipment, assembled specifically to meet the anticipated needs of MandalMotors, of materials to be shipped off of Agamar.
Once all of the bulk-freighters designated for the journey to Manda'yaim have been loaded, they lift off and, accompanied by Tra'kad-class transports that will act as security escorts for the shipment, begin the journey to orbit.

Darach Jeban of House Bralor, selected to head up the engineering team that has been tasked with upgrading the systems of the ships in Clan Ordo's orbital defense fleet, makes his way to the loading yard where the team and the bulk-freighter that will be transporting the tools, materials and other supplies needed to effect the fleet systems overhaul they will be undertaking will assemble for the journey to Ordo.
Once the other members of the engineering team begin to arrive, Darach assigns some to check that all of the supplies they need have been brought aboard the bulk-freighter by conducting an inventory, and others to conducting the pre-flight checks on the Kom'rk-class transports that the members of the engineering team will use to travel to Ordo. Once Darach and his team have completed all of their tasks, the bulk-freighter and trio of Kom'rk transports lift off and begin making their way to orbit.

Once upon a time, about 30 years ago, a Mandalorian colony ship crashed on the surface of Agamar.

Agamar's fields were beyond fertile when it came to raising the necessary crops for both its Mandalorian and Imperial rulers. The yields were so vast that a triad of authority had to be created to manage distribution and examination of the quality of the crop. The three were made of an Imperial authority, a Mandalorian overseer, and a native Agamaran examiner. This was done to ensure everyone was given their equal and fair share. If there was an excess, it was handed over to the Agamaran side of the triad for stocking, the galactic market, and distribution to the populace. It was the balance determined via the treaty made after Agamar was split between the Bralors and the First Order.

Exchanges were once standard practice between academies. A hand full of cadets would transfer to another academy to learn a different style for a semester. Cadet Langer had asked for this. He was not bitter about how Moff Thul had treated him, deep down he knew she was right. It was still best, he thought, for him to get a little space for a while. He and a few others would train under Mandolorian instructors for a few months. He was excited to learn other ways of thinking, and become a better officer for it.

The training was different, more individual that Langer was used too. He was better at this. He wasn't as great at being a team member, he was better focusing on himself. He could show his skills better here than on Carida relying on others. He still saw is loan wolf skills as an asset, and others as a hinderance.

Cadet Langer was impressing him Mandolorian instructors. His strength and determination were very respected. Others asked to train with him, he thought this was leadership, just letting them see him and learn from him.

The people that Langer was training did not seem to be getting much stronger, and it was really bugging Langer. they were letting him down in his mind. He decided to start applying a more heavy hand in training.

Langer was getting worried, nothing he was trying seemed to work. Progress was happening, but way too slowly. Increasing the pressure was that he had heard of a war game planned. The Grand Moff's golden girl would likely be participating. He couldn't figure out how she succeeded so well. Their test scores were always similar, but the unit performance were very different. He could not fully understand how she was able have success.

The Lambda Class Shuttle that was carrying a once again recently restructured Plaid Lothcats squad. Deep down Akulas was always torn. This constant transferring of people out of her unit made it incredibly hard to build any achievements for the unit. On the other hand, the people that were moved out were always being given promotions. This of course made her very happy for them. She just wished her own unit could make progress over being just good. This exercise had her even more concerned. She didn't fully know the capabilities of her squad and they were being sent into a wargame with other unknown units.

Zahn sat in an observation room, watching the multitude of screens in the Control Room for this war game that Grand Moff Thul had organised. It was a good opportunity to check in and see how the recruits were progressing with their training. Of particular interest to Zahn, was Cadet Commander Ecklund. Standash had talked Akulas up a great deal, and now he could see her in action for himself. She could prove a useful asset to his forces, provided she was indeed as good as Standash said she was.
He reclined back in his seat, dressed in his Formal Uniform with his insignia's on display, while the Praetor squad stood guard inside and outside the room. Their goal primarily to screen any visitors that might intrude upon the Grand Marshal

The Grand Moff had arrived earlier to see that things were set up. Balmorra's foundries built and fitted a number a vehicles for the event. Tanks, walkers, and speeders. They also sent prefabs for the mountain that was the main objective of the exercise. Some were wondering why the exercise wasn't on Carida, Standash was not wanting to show anything that could be considered favoritism. Things were already going to be called, so she wanted to limit them. Agamar was a good choice. She was making sure everything was in place. She only nodded to Zahn when she saw him. She didn't have time for more. The leaders of the squads that were competing were gathered in this setting as a meet and greet. Standash had set this up deliberately. These young leaders needed to learn how to smooze the brass. This was something that you couldn't have in a class setting. Langer had never struggled for confidence or talking about his favorite subject, himself. He was excited to meet these people and to show them how great he was. His test scores were always exceptionally high and he knew it. If only he wasn't constantly given scrubs to command. He walked up to the Marshall and salutedCadet Langer reporting sir. It is a pleasure to meet you.
