As of the new presence of the opposing fleet of Arden, the three Venator Class Star Destroyers the Honor, Glory, and Valor move into defensive positions and all batteries are charged and manned. On board the crew has no idea of what went or is going on in the situation and is restricted to an only visible assumption. The captain of the fleet orders for the forward shields to be put on half power as the guns have the other half. The crews of the ARC squadrons are prepared and the Ywing are put on standby.

Admiral Walsh, seeing the secondary fleet begin to assume hostile positioning begins re-transmitting all the CUF access codes to those ships, one of them should be something they recognize although he is uncertain how these ships did not get the original dispersment when the others did. It's not like they were hiding the broadcasts. The Admiral attempts to open a secure channel to the GLory, Honor or Valor... whichever answers first...
"All ahnds stand by, we have an agreement with the large fleet but keep an eye on these other guys. I'm still not sure what to make of them..."
Walsh speaks into the com device, trying to reach whoever is in command of the other fleet. "Attention, this is Fleet Admiral Dillion Walsh of the CUF Fleet Himura, also known as Himura Battle Group. Unidentified fleet, please identify yourselves or prepare to be disabled."

At the 999th fleet the new transmission comes through to the bridge of the flagship the Honor. Several officers on the deck receive the message and decode the signal. One of the higher rank officers approaches the captain of the fleet who is staring at the new arrives to the sector."Sir we have received a friendly transmission for the incoming fleet."The captain turns around to face the officer."About time we received some news. The comms from the surface have been silent for some time."As he speaks the hologram panel opens and the image of a admiral appears. The captain (admiral rank) turns to the hologram."Greetings this is Captain Correc of the 999th legion of the Grand Army of the Republic, State your business."

"The Grand Army of the Republic you say. Would this be the Old Republic, New Republic or Republic Rebuilt? Not that it really concerns us much... Oh, but where are my manners. I am Fleet Admiral DIllion Walsh and this man next to me is Vice Admiral Davison, we represent the Council of the Unified Force, a division of the Jedi Order and are here for several reasons, one of which is that our order was founded on this planet. I am unfamiliar with the 999th legion, but I do believe you are a separate entity from the 82nd guys positioned behind you. Unfortunately your fleet is outnumbered, outmatched and outgunned at the present time. I would suggest you cooperate with us, seeing as we have scans indicating that you are making several repeat attempts to contact someone on the ground. Why don't we see if we can help you, we have access to back channel comms on this world that run through the Jedi Enclave we built here. So what do you say Captain, friends?"
Admiral Davison steps forward after noticing that the captain is wearing an admiral's rank
"Excuse me Admiral, not you sir the one that introduced himself as Captain. I see you are wearing the rank of admiral but introduced yourself as captain, I'm curious was your promotion so recent that you forgot or are you an impostor? This is easily cleared up, with your permission of course Walsh. Simply tell me what date the 999th was founded and on whose orders, we can verify it through our computers and if you are right we will gladly assist you, but if it should be determined that you are not who you claim to be... make no mistake that we will wipe you from history itself... "
"That's enough Davison, give the man a chance to let all this sink in a bit..."

Captain Correc starts to chuckle to himself then starts to laugh. He looks over at his second in command and states with enthusiasm."I like this guy! Certainly we can establish an acquaintanceship! Sorry about the drastic measures we took but it was only standard defense protocol. We were unaware of your intentions and I was prepared to take action."He smiles and nods in a matter of respect to another admiral. The admiral would notice the fact that the 999th's admiral is a clone officer unlike in most old republic fleets were a trusted citizen would be in charge of the clone forces. "Also Admiral I have obtained the rank of admiral when the previous one perished during the last few months of the war. He was assassinated by a bounty hunter during a holiday of his on Corescant. He was a good man and a beloved friend. He always told me of how proud he was of my performance and has always stated that in his absence I would be promoted to the rank of Admiral.A single tear streams down his eye in the remembrance of his friend."I keep the title of Captain in honor of the original admiral of the 999th. That title belongs to him and him alone, but I take full responsibilities of the rank of Admiral."He wipes the tear from his cheek.

"I see..."
Davison speaks first but Walsh cuts him off.
"Very well Admiral, we are sorry for your loss. However, you must understand that the clone wars were before our time. Only person here that knows about that time period is Jedi Master Arden Brandwyn and he was only ten at the time. I'd introduce you but he was aboard the shuttle heading to the surface. If you will transfer your communications codes to us we can see about establishing comms with your boys on the ground."
Walsh has the com officer standing by to transmit the 999th codes through the Enclave relay and piggy back the CUF channels in order to re-establish communications. He is fairly certain it'll work...

In a very modest manner he bows in respect."Thank you for your respect, but now to present madders. As for the intercepted comms, Dantooine isn't the most recognized planet for it's communications. The only communication districts are local farms so they can converse with one another."He chuckles to himself quietly about the unfortunate lack of comm capability on the planet. He smiles and speaks."I appreciate your offer to assist us in our troubles but my crew is perfectly capable of reaching my ground forces. Although any help is gratefully accepted."/font]He nods to a officer with the communications to send over the codes to the opposing fleet."We are sending them now. I have to now trust you will be responsible with that confidential information. I trust your judgement Admiral."He smiles again and waits to receive word from the ground.

Walsh nods to his comms officer who receives the transmission and begins tracking the comm units on the surface, using the new relays the Jedi and Republic Rebuilt had installed. He then sends the coordinates and comms codes for the relays back to the visiting ship so that they did not need to rely on the CUF for their communications
"If you'll confer with your communications station you will see that we have updated your information and granted you access to the relay towers we had installed a few years ago. I'm sure that your files are slightly outdated since this planet was home to both the CUF as well as the government of the Republic Rebuilt prior to the formation of the current Galactic Republic."

Correc watches as the a 999th comm channel has been amplified and can cover a grater distance to reach the ground troops planet side. He immediately motions for several officers to restart sending comm signals to the ground for the Commanders and the Jedi General to answer. Knowing how their new "friend" has helped them solve their slight difficulty he bows in thanks. "I thank you for your cooperation admiral it is very hard to find such hospitality in this galaxy now a days." He gives off a warm smile and continues. He first recieves some slight messages from a comm officer on the ground."If you do not mind me asking but I believe there was some sort of Confrontation between you and the Cohort's fleet. Would you care to explain your intentions on returning to Dantooine and your association with this Death's Cohort we are receiving word of from the ground. He strokes his beard and awaits a response.

The Redeemer reverted from darkspace slowly, transferring from supraluminal speeds by command of the dovin basals housed within the vessel. Classified as a Yorik-strohna, the Redeemer was like all Yuuzhan Vong technology: it was grown. Seer Tokin Herrn commanded the vessel. Robed in black, the member of the priest cast felt the reversion to realspace which was confirmed moments later by the pilot, who wore the Tall-Yor - the cognition hood. Tokin placed his palm on the nearest wall made of yorik coral. It turned transparent at his touch, allowing him to see into space.
A green planet occupied his vision. "Dantooine," he said, the alien word sounding odd on his lips. The Seer and the crew of the Redeemer had plans for the planet, plans that could not be rushed.
"Do I approach, Seer?" Dromin Rag, the pilot and part of the worker caste, asked. His voice was muffled through the face-covering interface that allowed him to communicate with the ship.
"Not yet," Tokin replied. "We wait."

The asteroid-like vessel remained in orbit, its dovin basals currently resting. Seer Tokin and the 11 other crewmembers were in silent contemplation, thinking of their plans and how this would please the Gods. As a living organism, Tokin relied on the pilot, Dromin, to keep an eye on the heathen and lifeless vessels that stood in the planet's defence by communicating directly with the ship, and Tokin spent his time gazing through a transparent portion of yorik coral.
The planet was perfect for his plans to resurrect the Yuuzhan Vong. Temperate, more or less a garden world without much of the lifeless automatons that the denizens of this galaxy relied on, it would not take long for the Seer to make it his home. He gazed at the powerful warships in orbit, however, and there stood his problem.
The Redeemer was grown to be a spy vessel, looking like an asteroid and not giving off the synthetic signals that a machine did, so the Seer did not imagine that they would be detected. However, in his cautious and calculating nature, he had the pilot keep the ship a fair distance away from the planet to lessen their chances of detection.
With a gentle stroke, the transparent portion of the ship's hull filled with colour and returned it its opaque state, and the Seer retired to his chamber to go over his plans again.

Tokin had set his eyes on Dantooine because of its garden-like nature. Large swathes of it could be formed into nutrient pools or gestation plains to grow an armada. He also had heard of a cave that gave the famous Jedi their energy swords.
He stood in what passed for a bridge on the Yuuzhan Vong vessel, Dromin's head was encased in the Tall-Yor, whose leathery skin was brown in colour. A tubular ridge on the forehead allowed the wearer to communicate with the ship. "Have we had any communication with the heathens?" Yokin asked.
"No, Seer. We seem to remain undetected." Dromin said, his voice muffled through the apparatus. Tokin smiled. Everything was going according to plan.

As the three Victory-Class Star Destroyers and four Carrack-Class Light Cruisers that make up the space support for Death's Cohort detect the new arrival to the system, the bridge crew of the ISD Crimson Skies look at each other. "That wasn't there last time we scanned the system... Dev, scan it and compare the scans to our updated database." "Running it now, sir." After a few seconds, the interface chirps. "Faint lifesigns detected, sir. Computer says sixty-eight percent probability of it being... something called Yuuzhan Vong. No comm lines detected." "Right. Tell Captain Tycho to tag it with a weapons lock." After a brief communication, the Carrack-Class Light Cruiser "Victor's Pride" orients itself to target the asteroid/ship.

Being organic, the Redeemer had no idea that weapons were trained against it, bar a feeling of being watched. The shift in a heathen ship alarmed Dromin, who relayed the information to the Seer. Tokin was analysing the situation through the clear portion of yorik coral. "Please update me, pilot."
"We seem to be detected, Seer." He said. "Though I'm not sure if they actually see us or if they're using guesswork. The mechanical monstrosity they have repositioned seems to be roughly the same size as the Redeemer."
"We have a divine duty to rip it apart," Tokin said, fist clenched, "however, the gods require us to live long enough to take the planet. Continue our reconnaissance. The more we can gather about the ships parked in orbit, the easier it will be when it comes to take the planet."
Dromin used his interface with the living ship to see and feel with its senses, getting a feel for the enemy fleet and how capable they were.

"We have waited long enough!" Tokin snarled. "These machinations cannot be allowed to continue unchallenged."
The Redeemer's crew of 12 were all up for bringing death and destruction to the God's enemies, however no one was under illusions that they alone could take the planet. "What are your orders, Seer?" Dromin asked.
"We have Death standing by," he replied, referring to the warship that was a short darkspace journey away. "I suggest we gather valuable information for it to use."
Dromin nodded, and with the Tall-Yor wrapped around his head, which made a suckling noise now and again, he directed the Redeemer to approach the mechanical vessel that had repositioned itself to keep an eye on them, always careful to keep the Carrack between the Redeemer and the rest of the heathen fleet. One on one, the Yuuzhan Vong vessel would have no problem shredding the lifeless ship to pieces. Traditionally, the living technology boasted very effective resistance to the energy-based weapons of the beings of this galaxy, and their own defences did not present much of a obstacle for their volcano cannons, or yaret-kors as they were also known.
But it was not just a one-on-one battle. Tokin had to take the other ships in orbit into account.
They slowly approached, looking for data that they could use in the imminent battle.

As the asteroid/ship begins drifting closer, a warning light begins flashing on the bridge of the "Crimson Skies". "Sir, the anomaly is approaching." "Right. Open a comm channel to Captain Jekk on the "Sovereign's Pride"." Lieutenant Dev opens the channel. "What's up Quin?" "We have an anomaly approaching, possibly something termed Yuuzhan Vong. Tycho is covering it with the "V.P.", but I'm not sure how capable the weapon systems are against such materials. Can you bring your MACs to bear on it, while still maintaining contact with our current situation?" "Can do. Preparing firing solutions. Helm, reverse three hundred meters, down sixty. I want the MACs loaded, and locked on that anomaly." As the orders are given to the crew, the Victory-class star destroyer Sovereign's Pride begins maneuvering to the new position, rotating to keep it's turbolaser turrets at an angle that can be brought to bear on the other fleets in system. Quinlan quickly briefs the other ship commanders in his fleet of the situation, and all seven ships enter red alert.

The Redeemer's dovin basals used Dantooine as a reference point as the asteroid-ship manoeuvred its way towards the enemy fleet. "You were instructed to keep the smaller ship between us and the larger ones, pilot." Tokin said through gritted teeth, watching the wedge-shaped warship position itself so that it could target the Yuuzhan Vong ship with only a small chance of hitting its own vessel.
"Apologies, Seer, but they are making it difficult."
"No matter," Tokin said. "It actually works to our favour. Have the dovin basals analyse their gravitational signature so they can recognise ships of the same profile in the future."
"As you command, Seer." Dromin replied. The ship slowed as the dovin basal's energies were split between propulsion and scanning.
"Keep approaching, Dromin. And bring me the oggzil villip." One of his servants disappeared through the sphincter-like entrance to the command area of the vessel. Tokin wanted to communicate.

Alerts sound on the bridge of "The Watchman" and Admiral Walsh is summoned to the bridge. He reviews the alerts as they come across the screen and begins typing his orders into the computer terminal in the war room section. The orders are issued fleet wide and the entirety of the "Himura Battle Group" receive and act on his commands. His instructions are to maintain current positions and monitor the actions of the friendly fleet in response to the arrival of the asteroid that may or may not be a trap of some kind. Walsh sat down and watched the holo-display of the ship movements in relation to the asteroid. As the fleet manuevered around the asteroid it appeared that the entity was also changing direction and that was concerning."All hands, Battle stations. Get me a comm channel to the Crimson Skies."Walsh typed out further fleet commands and begin the process of splitting the fleet into smaller units to surround the entity threatening their air space.

The fleet broke apart with the Elite Cruisers moving on the upper left flank, the Independance class Battleships taking the lower right flank and The Watchman moving into an overwatch position above and behind the Crimson Skies. All weapons and shields were powered up but no target locks were entered yet. The fleet was merely flexing it's muscles and hoping it wouldn't have to take a swing."Commander of Crimson Skies, be advised we are on your elevated six to assist you. Fleet Himura will follow your lead. Please patch me into any communications we receive from our guests. Walsh standing by."

Quinlan activates his comm system to respond to the commander. "Much appreciated, Admiral. You may access our fleet comm system with these codes." The trooper at the communication console transmits a set of temporary access codes for the network to the "Watchman".

The servant reappeared with a sickly brown orb that pulsated every now and again. It was placed upon a soft living cushion as one of the most revered breeds of villip, as it allowed the Yuuzhan Vong to communicate with the infidels without using their heathen technology. Tokin took the villip in two hands, admiring the hard ridge at its back where it deposited the metal it fed on, hence giving it the ability to pick up enemy transmissions in an antennae-like way. With a stroke of his finger, the villip came alive.
Other villips would have inverted to produce a three dimensional face, but even this was impossible with the nature of the enemy's communication methods. This one simple pulsated at regular intervals. The Seer placed it on a ledge and eyed it. "Citizens of the world Dantooine", he said to it. The creature translated his speech to basic as it transmitted. "We are the Yuuzhan Vong, and require audience."
