"No, I don't believe so. Nothing I need tonight, anyway." Melia managed a weary smile, lifting her head up as if it was the last time she would manage to do so today. "I will retire with dignity."
"G'night, Miss Kalli!"
"Mm."
"And thank you for the wonderful tour. I'm sure there's more to see, but the gardens alone were worth the extra time."
"Mhm!"
"But do stop by anytime. As I said, I prepare tea during my morning ritual, and my work is never so busy that I can't put it down for a few hours. I'm sure you still have... questions. Concerns. What have you."
Both children shuffled into the room of their own accords, disappearing around the corner and leaving the door open. Melia hesitated to follow, glancing back at Kalli one last time give a final parting smile, then eventually entered behind them and shut the door. Melia's head fell back against the door with a soft thud, and her shoulders slumped back as her eyes slammed shut. She could feel her exhaustion at last, having staved it off all day with much effort. It took quite some time before she managed to stand upright again, and as she opened her eyes once more, they widened with surprise.
Ivy was sitting in a chair, adjusting a metal helmet of some type on her head. Each time she fiddled with it, the massive cable in the back wriggled with an unnerving amount of sway, like a large insect. Titus stood beside her, with one hand on a table, his shoulders turned to the far wall and his face tilted away from Melia, as if he was observing something going on beyond the room. Some lights turned on under the visor of the helmet Ivy wore as she plugged it into a small device she had retrieved from one of the travel cases.
"Ivy, what is that?"
"I use it for taking notes," she replied quickly. "It's faster than writing."
"What... is it?"
"It's my interface."
"You... brought it with you?"
"Of course. Why would I leave it behind? I could lose important data."
"Yes, sweetie. That's part of having a brain. Sometimes you forget things."
"I understand that, mom. But I cannot afford to lose efficiency just because we are away from home."
Melia held her breath for a moment before sighing heavily. She gestured vaguely to Titus. "What are you looking at, hun?"
"Dad."
"Is he still out there?"
Titus nodded absently.
"Just leave him be. He'll come back in when he can."
"Okay mom."
"Go to sleep, hun. It's past your bedtime."
"Are you sure?"
Melia huffed, once, quietly. "I'm very sure. It's past my bedtime, too."
"Okay mom."
Titus lumbered to the next room over, barely moving his feet with each step. He bumped his shoulder on the corner of the dividing arch and nearly toppled himself over as he disappeared into the room. Melia could hear the rustling of sheets and a soft thump from his head hitting the pillow, but the lights remained on. Meanwhile, Ivy continued to making adjustments on both her helmet and the device attached to it.
"Are you going to sleep soon, sweetie?"
"Insufficient data."
"Yes or no, please."
"Probably."
"You're grounded if you fall asleep anywhere but your bed. And the interface stays in this room. Understood?"
"Understood."
Ivy was totally motionless as she spoke, save for the small turning of knobs and pressing of buttons. In the faintest of whispers, Melia could hear her making verbal commands into what was most likely an internal microphone, and with each one the lights on the visor changed slightly. Without daring to ask for more information, Melia trudged to the opposite bedroom and located her sleeping arrangements. Amidst boxes of unpacked materials, racks of unfinished dresses and waves of aromatic fragrances associated with clean bed sheets, a massive mattress beckoned to a tragically exhausted mother. She skimmed her fingers over the silky sheets and pressed into the thick, luxurious padding underneath. It was soft and had a lot of give; Melia was pleased, but Atuna would probably not sleep well on it.
She crawled over the sheets and plopped down, stomach first, onto the bed, her face burying into the pillow. The thought of falling asleep like this briefly crossed her mind as her body gave way to sweet release. A few tears came to her eyes, which stained the pillowcase as she once more stood up only to turn off the lights. Then, still wearing the dress she arrived in, she lay on her back and stared up at the ceiling, at the shadows dancing around the light still coming from the adjacent room, where her daughter was most likely processing an entire hard drives-worth of information in minutes. She conjured ideas of what was causing the shadows to dance: a fan perhaps, or maybe some apparatus on the wall. It was unlikely to be Ivy, given her nature, and Titus was undoubtedly very, very asleep.
Her hand instinctively reach out to either side of the bed to feel for her husband, who was, to no one's surprise, not here. Her lip twitched as she mentally prepared herself to fall asleep alone and let her thoughts empty themselves until all that remained was the sound of distant clicking and the echoes of a little girl whispering in binary to herself.

With very little time to react or respond, Achiira and Alexia were dragged out from the Archives excitedly by the ever energetic Viv, the sound of distant feet shuffling not far behind the three young Jedi as they paced fast along the open space of the residential towers main area, no doubt Master Kalli and the Lemep family were taking a slower pace as they followed. She wondrred deeply if Melia was alright, she seemed very off and very tired.
It made Achiira feel a little uncomfortable with the intense forwardness of Viv, especially the strong grip she had on her arm. She kept telling herself that it was good for her confidence and social interaction, bring her out of her introverted ways, learn to comfortably adapt to different personalities around her. It was the first time Achiira had ever met a personality like Viv, strengthening her favoring for Alexia's calm and poised composure. All her life she'd been brought up with the strict code and ways of the Jedi teachings, the collected, calm, gentle, sensible and decisive appearance they radiate, so it was strange to meet a Jedi like Viv. Yet in her discomfort she found an admiration toward the young Knight. To be so openly extrovert and true to her nature around the Jedi was very brave in Achiira's thoughts, yet she wondered how the Knight would be in a serious manner and situation.
Achiira gave a nervous laugh as Alexia spoke, taking assurance in her apology and trying not to trip over her feet as she was being pulled. "I can tell, its very erm.....different for sure. Does she sleep?" Achiira gave a genuine hearty laugh this time.

"No, I don't believe so. Nothing I need tonight, anyway." Melia managed a weary smile, lifting her head up as if it was the last time she would manage to do so today. Melia hesitated to follow, glancing back at Kalli one last time give a final parting smile, then eventually entered behind them and shut the door. Melia's head fell back against the door with a soft thud, and her shoulders slumped back as her eyes slammed shut. Kalli simply offered a compassionate smile as Melia's exhaustion wore more and more heavily on her shoulders. Although the bustle of the girls could still be heard a few corridors down, at the very least, it was quieter than it had been. Keeping things as short as she could manage to allow Melia and the children to retire as soon as possible, Kalli nodded her head in acknowledgment and kept her words simple."Of course, Melia. I'll give you some time to rest, and perhaps we can meet for tea one morning soon. It was a pleasure getting a chance to meet you and most of your lovely family. I'll be in touch. Good night. All of you." Taking a step back, the woman smiled warmly towards the children as they shuffled into the room but caught the parting glance of Melia as she hesitated. Keeping up her warm disposition, Kalli offered a faint bow of her head in another silent farewell before the door was shut. The thud behind it resounded, speaking the truth of Melia's exhaustion that she tried to strongly to hide. With it, Kalli's seemingly everlasting smile finally faded from her lips."First, I'll give you a few days to rest, Melia," Kalli murmured aloud, although clearly to herself as there was no one else around to hear her. "I can tell that this experience has been rougher on you than anyone else. May your weary soul find peace here." Softly clearing her throat, Kalli sucked in a deep breath, and with the action, straightened her shoulders and lifted her chin. Only briefly, she let her eyes wander down the hallway to where she could hear the chatter coming from. With a faint laugh and shake of her head, Kalli decided to retire for the day as well. Although she had mentioned checking up another certain Jedi in the medbay earlier, she was sure he was doing better than some others.
Meanwhile Having been pulled along from the Archives, Alexia worked to gain control before giving a sigh. "Do you even know where we are going? I clearly didn't say which room was Achiira's. Unless you are secretly trying to guide us to yours." She gave a sigh and looked to Achiira. "I must apologize. She can be a bit...excitable." Achiira gave a nervous laugh as Alexia spoke, taking assurance in her apology and trying not to trip over her feet as she was being pulled."I can tell, it's very erm.....different for sure. Does she sleep?" Achiira gave a genuine hearty laugh this time. Vivikayl had carelessly dragged both Achiira and Alexia through the Residential Tower, and although she was clearly without direction, the Echani seemed more than confident as to where she was taking them. It was only after Alexia's quip that she slowed her pace to pause, also releasing the two with the slow of her momentum."Well, you said that that one family was staying in the G-units. I assumed that Chi would have also been assigned a room somewhere around here." Vivikayl brought her fingers to her lips, nibbling down on her index finger's knuckle as she thought deeply on the matter at hand. Her silver eyes darted around as she looked up and down the hallway before her eyes stuck to Alexia. Abruptly, it was though the Echani issued some kind of silent challenge towards her friend. With a huff of a sigh, Vivikayl put her hands on her hips and arched an eyebrow at the girl. Although clearly an act, it was perhaps the most seriousness they would get out of the child-like woman."I can hear you, you know. Yes, I do sleep, and quite well, thank you. I wouldn't have all this 'pent up energy' if I didn't," Vivikayl protested in feigned indignance. "If I'm such an excitable pain in you two's behinds, why haven't you taken charge yet, Lexi? I bet you two are just enjoying getting lost with me and just won't admit it." Although the Echani didn't playfully poke her tongue out at Alexia, her tones very well made it seem that she should have. With her point being made, though, she dramatically extended out her arm in a direction, issuing for Alexia to take the lead.

And like that, their pace came to a halt. Letting off a heavy sigh, she crossed her arms and shook her head though the smile remained upon her face. "Yes, she was given a room within the G-units. After all, G does stand for guest. But the question is, do you know which of these rooms were assigned to her? She raised an eyebrow and let her head title to the side in a more animated style that rivaled Viv's actions. "The room you are looking for is G-024."
She then gave a shrug to Achiira. "One would think she sleeps but I wonder sometimes. Perhaps she just likes to start the day with a few pots of caf. It's really the only way I can see that allows her to keep going. Not that she really needs any more energy than she already has. Then again, she just has an unnatural abundance of it. The galaxy may never know."
She then laughed a little as she stepped forward, lifting a finger to boop Viv's nose as she past, motioning for them to follow. "Come on. This way."

Vivs momentum slowed releasing both the girls as she did so. Much to Achiira's slight delight to be let loose, she rubbed the ache from her arm away and hung her thoughts to the new name Viv had given her. Chi. Another name given to energy, which is held to animate the body internally and is of great importance to some cultures. It seemed fitting that she was given this nickname, although she kicked herself for not coming up with it herself. It was now a name that brought her comfort and gave her some meaning, Chi, the way of the force, the flow of energy. Just as she was coming to, Achiira heard the underlying serious tone to Viv's response to her comment, and felt a little hot in the face, as though she'd just insulted the young Jedi.
"Forgive me Viv, I didn't mean any disrespect. I said it in a lighthearted fashion. I can assure that you are not a pain, more so a welcome difference from all the formalities." She gave a broad smile to Viv before looking at Alexia with sheepish eyes. She then chuckled. " I am not so sure its a few pots of caf, maybe she came up with a new meditation technique to help stimulate her activity."
No sooner had she finished her sentence, Alexia motioned them to move onward with a boop to Viv's nose. Achiira felt the urge to do the same just in case once wasn't enough, grinning at the thought. "Boop!" Achiira pressed her finger onto Viv's nose as she passed her. and laughed out loud as she followed Alexia.

Beaming ear to ear with a smile, Vivikayl laughed a lighthearted, melodic giggle as Achiira offered her apologies. Although she was still new to the Temple, Achiira and her behavior were odd in comparison to most others Vivikayl had run into. It was like a breath of fresh air in most ways.
"Oh, don't you worry. I wasn't serious," Vivikayl grinned with a wink. "You'll eventually get used to my humor," she then eyed up Alexia as she quipped, "or you'll just try to abandon me at every opportunity like some friends of mine."
With a smirk that held no shame or grief, Vivikayl beamed over at Alexia as she spoke. With her silvery gaze fixed upon the other young woman, though, the Echani's eyes widened as a sudden realization dawned on her for the first time.
"Hold on, is that what the 'G' stands for?!" she exclaimed. She blinked a couple of times, her mouth agape, before accepting such an obvious thing as the truth. It left another question to pop up in her head. Snapping a finger up as though drawing a weapon to point directly at Achiira, "but wait, I thought she was staying at the Temple, not just visiting."
The Echani sighed loudly as Alexia and Achiira continued to talk about her like she wasn't even standing there and turned her gaze skyward. Alexia took the lead to start guiding them towards Achiira's room, but first just having to pause for a playful boop on the nose. Of course, Achiira then followed suit, leaving Vivikayl with a scrunched expression as she stood rigidly still in minor shock. While the two carried on down the hall, she stalled for a minute longer, if only to mimic them with a high-pitched, over-dramatized reenactment.
"Maybe she drinks caf, maybe she meditates, the galaxy may never know."
Vivikayl huffed before picking up her shoulders, spinning on a heel, and skipping down the corridor to catch up with the two of them.
"For the record, it's just a lot of sleep!" she bellowed down the corridor. "Something I'm sure you could use more of, Lexi!"

Alexia merely laughed and shook her head before stopping to look back at Viv at the mention of being abandoned. "It's not my fault that you stop following just because I take the lead. That hardly falls into abandonment." She then placed her hands on her hips, becoming a bit more serious at the question posed to her. "She is. But it is much easier to get her a guest room set up than trying to establish a permanent residence. This way, she can get settled into the temple and the housing team doesn't have to rush in preparing such a room." She then gave a smirk as she leaned forward. "Besides, we need to make sure you don't run her off before she's had time to adjust."
She laughed a bit more as she watched Achiira boop Viv's nose as well. It was nice to see her coming out of the shell she was in when she arrived. Viv was good for bashing down barriers. Sometimes it was a boon. Other times, a curse. It was reassuring to see it was the former in this case. As she continued with Achiira, she shrugged. "Could be. But of course, she'd deny any such thing. Sometimes it's surprising she can sit in one spot long enough to meditate."
It was then that Viv skipped along down the hall in an attempt to catch up. "I get plenty, myself. Thanks for asking." She then glanced back over her shoulder. "Glad you decided to stick with us. I was getting worried for a moment."

Achiira laughed to herself as the two back chatted one another, and as she did so she couldn't help but think about the reason she was here at the temple. Her Master's death. Some time had passed without thinking about her, and it caused a small upset with Achiira's mind, missing her wisdom, her generosity and caring nature. She felt almotguilty that she was able to laugh and be living. She was like a mother to Achiira in someways, as well as a best friend, and was taken away so fast. She cursed herself for not foreseeing her death and trying to prevent it. She wondered why she was able to sense the attack at their safe house, but not the events at the landing pad. She was reminded again that the force was always difficult to interpret and make sense of. She pulled herself together, lifter her head high and spoke to both Knights, realizing she hadn't really found out anything about those she'd met already.
"So how long have you two been at the Temple for?"

Catching up again with the two, Vivikayl pushed her way between them, wrapping one arm around Alexia's waist and the other around Achiira's. Of course, Alexia had all the answers, which always made sense. It wasn't surprising at all that she was a Jedi Knight. Even as an older Padawan, she had been mistaken by some of the younglings as being a Jedi Knight. It was just that air and confidence about her, to which Vivikayl enjoyed attempting to break apart and make her live a little. She was in her early twenties, for crying out loud, not forty.
Grinning up at Alexia, Vivikayl defended herself, "I didn't run you off, did I? I think if anybody's got you beat with patience, it's Chi." The Echani then turned to look up at Achiira to poke a tad bit of fun, "Then again, they always say, don't trust the quiet ones."
Vivikayl snickered as she winked playfully in Achiira's direction. Sighing dramatically, though, she unwrapped her arms from the two to cross her arms over her chest, now keeping in pace with the two, even if it meant a few added, extra steps from the smaller woman to keep up with them. Achiira's question caused her to slow down just a bit, though, and fell behind the other two girls. Having to throw herself down memory lane just to answer, she cleared her throat as she picked her pace back up to catch up.
"Oh, Force, ummm… I've been here since I was, what? Nine or ten? Somewhere around then. Super tiny, super young. I had even more energy then if you can believe it," she laughed. Vivikayl blinked, though, as the realization of time hit her hard, and she burst out, "Has it really been almost fifteen years?!"
Her pleading gaze found Alexia as she silently begged the other girl to tell her that she was wrong. For once in her life, she actually wanted Alexia to correct her.

Alexia gave the slightest of giggles as Viv caught back up to them and wrapped her arm around her waist. She certainly didn't mind, but it made her curious as to how Achiira would end up responding. Rarely did Viv ever practice discretion or carry respect for personal space. But it was her nature that had always caught Alexia's interest enough to never feel out of place with it. She was just someone who liked people.
Her laugh then picked up as she spoke. "Oh, believe me. If you want to run me off, you'll have to try so much harder than that. After all, you are just so adorable. As she poked fun at Viv, she brought her free hand up to pinch her cheek. It was then that Achiira's question came up. Allowing Viv to answer first, Alexia put a finger on her chin as she thought about it. "Hmm, I've actually been here since I was three or four. Pretty much my entire life has been spent here learning to be a Jedi. What about you, Achiira? How long have you been with the Jedi?"

Viv came bounding in between the two girls wrapping her arms around both their waists, causing Achiira to flinch that was openly obvious to anyone that might have seen. Its not that she had gotten a fright by the personal intrusion, but more so that it was a very physical and close intrusion to her body where she'd never been touched. She let it slide, sweeping some loose hair that had fallen to her face. She giggled as Viv poked at some fun, and gave a playful loud whisper in reply. ( Shhhh don't blow my cover.)
"I can only imagine the energy you had back then Viv, I bet you tested the patience of the Jedi here." She laughed and stuck her tongue out to Viv. It seemed Achiira was little byt little, coming out of her shell, and it was strange for her. "Oh, so you've both been here for a long time. Seems we all joined at similar ages, I have been with the Jedi Since I was Six. I was even more quiet then, If you can believe it." She looked to Viv and smirked.

He woke, washed and dressed and then sat for a moment.
Things were not the same, not since his return. Was he becoming disillusioned with the Jedi Order, the order that were proponents of fighting for the light, yet if fighting for the light meant abandoning most sysyems accept the core systems he wasn't sure it was the right choice.
He rose the thoughts whirling in his head and made his way out of his dorm and off in the direction of the archives.

Vivikayl smiled smugly up at Alexia, although with a slightly scrunched nose in distaste towards being called adorable. One would've thought that the Echani would have gotten used to it over the years, being well into her twenties and still being able to pass for a twelve-year-old Padawan with her size and stature. However, Vivikayl had some pride, at least, being a Knight and a fierce warrior to her people's traditions, carrying them over into her Jedi training.
"Hey, I may not look it, but I'm a fierce combatant, alright?" Vivikayl protested, although her flicker of seriousness dissipated with a giggle. "And if that's a challenge, you have yourself a bet, missy!"
Squeezing her fingers around Alexia's waist to further tickle her, Vivikayl let out a playful cackle before releasing both women from her grasp. She had felt Achiira flinch, in any case. For all her teasing, she didn't actually want to scare either of the girls off. With Achiira's jesting whisper, though, Vivikayl grinned and nodded her head affirmatively towards the younger woman.
"So where did you end up training before, Chi? I mean… before you decided to come to the Temple here? I might have been the oldest of us three before starting to train, but like Lexi, I've trained here all my life. Been on a few missions here and there, but I think the Council has kept me away from the other Jedi Temples for a reason." Vivikayl snickered before continuing, "So what's it like at another Temple, er... Academy?" Vivikayl nibbled thoughtfully on her lower lip. "Wherever you trained, I mean? Or…"
It suddenly struck Vivikayl that maybe it would just make Achiira have to go on and on repeating herself, probably multiple times in one day. When she had initially snuck up on the group in the archives, she and Alexia were already discussing similar stuff. Something about enlightenment, empathy. Wait…
"You're like Master Starflight… with the use of your creepy mind games, aren't you?!" Vivikayl exclaimed without warning, looking up at the girl with a sudden skepticism, even if she couldn't hide the twitch of a smile on her lips.

Alexia raised her eyebrow in a curious way, almost as if Viv was offering a challenge, herself. "Oh, really? All this time I thought you were merely flailing about in the training area. But if a fight is what you want, I'd be happy to oblige." Despite the jokes, Alexia knew how capable Viv truly was as a combatant. Coming from the Echani line, proficiency in the martial arts was in her blood. Coupled with her Jedi training, she was a very capable Knight as Alexia knew from the times they had sparred.
When Viv asked Achiira about where she came from, suddenly falling off as to unsure how to progress, Alexia decided to save her friend, using the knowledge Achiira had granted them earlier. "Agreed. I'm rather curious to hear about Corellia and her academy as well. Are all Jedi the same, no matter where they are trained or does each location differ from one another." It was then that the Echani suddenly shifted in her questions, bringing about the question in a less than pleasant way. "Viv?! There is nothing creepy about being an empath." She then looked to Achiira with an apologetic look once more. "Please forgive her. She can be a bit more direct than even me."

Achiira smiled at Viv's distaste in being called adorable, and found it quite amusing at the way the two Knights continued to make digs and playful gestures to each other, it was certainly not something Achiira witnessed from Knights. Yet she could see the friendship between them, the bond and trust they have for each other, it was very evident, even if they both get on each others nerves. She thought herself lucky though, to have been given a chance to experience them both and enjoy their company.
Achiira let out a silent sigh of relief as she was let go of yet again, realizing how much easier it was to walk freely again. She listened as Viv spoke and laughed along with her at her thought of the council keeping her from other temples. She didn't struggled to think why, Viv wasn't your typical Jedi Knight. She laughed out loud at Viv's use of words for an empath and Just as she was about to reply, Alexia responded with the information of what Achiira provided earlier. Feeling impressed by Alexia's memory and the forgiving tone she expressed, Achiira laughed once more, gave a smile to them both and spoke.
"There is nothing to forgive, creepy mind games seems a rather fitting description for our ability". She looked at Viv now and grinned cheekily as she spoke to her "But I don't mind going on and on repeating myself." She then looked straight ahead as she spoke, as if almost gazing into the past. "The Temple back on Corellia is smaller than this, and not as impressive. The stone work here is tremendous and awe inspiring, especially the gardens. The Temple is surrounded by forests, which is great when you're meditating in the court yards and connecting with the wild life, or if you're just studying and the sound of birds are echoing around you. Really adds a sense of purpose, if you know what I mean. The freedom they have in their natural environment. It really spoke to me, made me understand why the Jedi exist and that we are the bridge to bringing freedom. One inspiring thing my Master said to me once was -The temple is just a place we gather, a place we learn and teach. But the true temple is inside of you. The temple that grows as you grow. It hold your wisdom, your knowledge and your abilities. That is where the heart of a Jedi is-."
Achiira stopped as she realized she was actually going on and on, and didn't want to seem as though she was rambling, especially since she's supposed to be the quiet one. She wanted to make the Corellian temple seem interesting and as exciting as the one here on Felucia but it wasn't so much that, instead she wanted to try a little bit of history, and turned her head to Alexia.
"No, not all Jedi are the same. We all share the same core beliefs and ideas yes, but not all the same, some of our Jedi back in the olden times were quite cold and unfriendly due to their unerring sense of duty. There were no Jedi back home like Viv, with the playful mannerisms and energetic burst to life, instead rather strict, everyone had to follow the rules and act accordingly all the time. The Corellian Jedi are very patriotic, which is why we wear green robes, to honor the old flag and if my memory serves correct, the Jedi on Corellia were not part of the High council for some time, which I think played a big part in us not being the same. I think they stayed like this more so because the high council had once branded us as dissidents and heretics. Please forgive me when I say not all the Jedi are the same, I wish we were though, it would be easier. I think there will always be some form of divide between the Jedi, unless all teaching and training was to become universal. My Master often said that nothing else mattered, as long as we all held the same core beliefs, be the keepers of peace, bring freedom and justice."
She stopped so suddenly, it caught her off guard as to how much she'd said, and wondered how caught off guard the other two must feel.

If Achiira had been concerned about catching the two girls off-guard, Vivikayl at the very least didn't show any of that. Instead, she kept those curious silver orbs locked upon the younger woman as she spoke, her head tilted slightly to further reinforce that she was listening--and intently--without speaking until Achiira had been wholly finished with her explanation. It was perhaps the first time that she had remained that quiet for such a long period and just... listened. It wasn't until Achiira stopped with such abruptness that the small Echani woman let a bright, beaming smile twist at her lips.
"The Corellian Temple sounds beautiful… although that little metaphor is a bit extravagant, don't you think? I guess it just comes with the whole package of being a Jedi Master. You have to come up with these sorts of things to say to your Padawans. Force knows I'll never be ready for that."
Vivikayl laughed loudly, although it was a short-lived sound that was eerily broken apart with a single thought. Of course, her shining and bubbly nature were only disturbed briefly before it returned as effortlessly as before. Still, she needed to beat Alexia to the punch before correcting her about 'Jedi like Viv,' and the Echani would do so with a snicker and dash of sass.
"I mean, if I'm being honest with you, it's not like some of the Masters here accept me and my 'playful mannerisms,' as you put it. I've had to put up with my fair share of backlash since I was a Padawan and even more after I ascended into Knighthood. I've just learned over the years not to care about the stuck-up nonsense that they want to try to force-feed me. I'll die fighting to be a keeper of peace, freedom, and justice like you said. The path to walk to achieve it isn't so straight and narrow as they all want to make it to be, though. Being a Jedi doesn't mean being a cookie-cutout of a righteous fury--to become a judge, jury, and executioner to all things dark and evil. Sometimes a smile, a laugh, and a pinch of shenanigans can bring more light into the galaxy than some silly disciplines that rob a person of their joy."
Feeling a bit proud of herself for that monologue, Vivikayl placed her hands behind her back, her beaming smile taking on a more self-satisfied expression than before. It didn't last all that long, though, before the Echani bumped her hip against Alexia again. Addressing her friend, she teased her with even more confidence.
"See, 'creepy mind games,'" she whispered. "They know what they do. Master Starflight might side with you, but it looks like Chi here is an honest Jedi willing to stand up for her talents, even if they are a little weird." Vivikayl winked over at Achiira and added, "but that's why I like you already."

Alexia listened as Achiira spoke more than she had in one go than she had thus far. It was a bit surprising but brought a bright smile to her face. It was nice to see her slowly settling in and growing accustomed to their company at the very least. The real kicker to all of this warranted true surprise was how quiet Viv was while Achiira spoke. It was certainly another one of those rare occasions in seeing the Echani intently focused on something and not talking a million miles an hour or hopping all over the place. "I agree. It does sound like a great place."
She then listened as Viv went on to speak of what she had to deal with as she grew up within the Jedi here. They were certainly not as strict as the Corellian Jedi seemed to be, yet Viv still stuck out among them to the point many were cautious around her if not a little hard on her. But as the girl stated, she had learned to just be herself and not worry about what the others had to say. As long as she stood and fought for the Jedi like everyone else, her nature was a minute detail that was ultimately a wasted effort on everyone else's parts to complain. "To be honest, I'm glad I ended up here on Felucia then. I don't think even I could handle being in the stricter atmosphere, though I guess I would have adapted without much issue had I been raised there. Viv, on the other hand, not so much."
She then rolled her eyes as Viv won the point of creepy mind games. She still felt it rude to just openly say it, but with Achiira saying the same, she had no choice but to concede the discussion. "Yeah, yeah. Keep talking." She laughed a bit as she bumped her back, fully realizing the mistake she made in telling Viv to "keep talking."
Yet, it seemed as maybe she'd be spared that reality as they came upon the room assigned to Achiira. Moving up to it, she leaned against the wall next to the door. "Here we are. A temporary home until you can get your own permanent quarters here."

A slight saddened expression took a hold on Achiira's face as Viv (@kallistarflight) explained she'd had her fair share of backlash in her time with the Jedi for the way she is, and this really seemed to take root in Achiira and really wondered how the Jedi could treat on of their own differently, considering we are all here for the same reasons no matter of our individual personalities. As Viv went on further Achiira nodded to show reasoning and that she agreed with what Viv said. For all of Viv's joking and playful activity in the last hour or so of meeting her, this was the first time Achiira had heard her with a more serious and focused mindset. She let out a small laugh as she noticed it brought joy to Viv that they both agreed on the creepy mind games subject, and felt herself blush a little knowing that Viv liked her.
"I am very sorry that you were treated differently Viv, and I admire and respect that you didn't let that get in the way of your training and becoming a Knight." Achiira smiled warmly towards her. "And I agree with you, the path isn't so straight and narrow, but I am sure, or at least hope, that all Jedi can agree on fighting to be a keeper of peace, freedom and justice despite any of our differences or personalities.. You've definitely brought some extra light into my day, and I'm glad to have met you. Plus, at least you've had a friend in Aleixa all these years, right ? Achiira turned her head towards @alexia giving a gentle smile before addressing her.
" Yes, it was a great place, if that's all you know, compared to this place. You are very fortunate to have ended up here Alexia, I could only have imagined what it would have been like to visit those gardens everyday. I guess you don't really question those around you or the things you've seen until you go elsewhere."
In what seemed like a very long walk to the assigned room, Alexia stopped and leaned up against the wall and announced that they had arrived. Achiira felt a slight relief that she'd be able to get showered and get some sleep, but she also didn't want to leave the two girls just yet, she seemed to really enjoy and appreciate both of their company, especially with how welcome they had both made her feel.
" I was beginning to wonder if the room existed." Achiira let out a slight chuckle. " I felt like we'd walked for so long, not that I am complaining. Thank you so much for arranging this room for me Alexia, your hospitality has been lovely. And thank you Viv for coming along, its been fun and interesting. and a pleasure." A cheeky grin formed across Achiira's face.

Vivikayl shuddered, "Strict... yeah... you can count me out. I guess it isn't always greener on the other side, or whatever."
As Achiira apologized, though, the petite Echani shrugged. Vivikayl seemed unperturbed to the unfortunate aspects that would waft about her because of her liveliness. There were far more scandalous things that happened around the Temple, for those who had an eye for it. Little details could even be tracked as far up the chain of command as the Grandmaster himself. Vivikayl didn't want to reveal as much to the young woman just yet, though. The poor girl would probably have a fright. However, it didn't change that there were still the more traditional Jedi Knights and Masters who frowned upon such things, and Vivikayl was low enough on the food chain to be an easy target at times. With a dismissive wave of her hand and a mischievous smirk, though, Vivikayl tried to show just how much their thoughts and opinions bothered her--absolutely none.
"Yeah, but even Lexi can be a bit of snob," Vivikayl teased openly, poking her tongue out at the other Knight at her earlier mention to 'keep talking.' She knew Alexia probably shuddered at that one once it hit her. Vivikayl would spare her today, though, if only for Achiira's sake. "I've been trying to get her to loosen up for years, but I think that discipline they beat into her is indestructible."
The Echani woman snickered low under her breath. In all honesty, she was grateful to have a down-to-earth friend like Alexia. They looked after one another and balanced each other out a little too well at times. As Vivikayl was known to do, though, she would rarely give up the opportunity to make a joke or toss some shade, all for the sake of a few laughs. All that mattered was that Alexia knew how to take it and send it right back.
Arriving in front of Achiira's temporary quarters, Vivikayl let out a dramatic sigh.
"Geez, Lexi. I was beginning to wonder if you were getting us more lost than me," she complained, although unable to hide the laughter in her voice. Turning to Achiira, Vivikayl beamed ear-to-ear and continued, "Oh, and the pleasure is all mine, Chi. I'm sure you're dying for a good night's sleep, but don't oversleep. Now that I know which room is yours, I'm gonna swing by here to make sure I drag you out for sunrise meditations. You better be ready, or I'll bust in there and drag you out in your pajamas."

Alexia only shrugged when Achiira brought up having grown up here and being able to see the gardens everyday. "Well, remember, this place wasn't always here. It's been a few years at best. I actually was raised within the old Jedi Base. Though it had some features like the temple, it was built in a more militaristic or outpost kind of way rather than a proper temple. So it's still relatively new."
Alexia then raised an eyebrow as Viv jokingly considered her a snob. "I mean, if you want to see snob, I'm sure I can oblige. But if I did that, I would be able to have as much fun teasing you from time to time." One thing she was glad for was Viv. She certainly brought a different sense of life to the Jedi here, even if many considered it a little too outgoing. It kept life fun and exciting for her and she was glad to see that Achiira was warming up to it so quickly. It made her wonder just how long it would be before the Echani drug her out on one of her many escapades.
She then rolled her eyes to both of them as the commented on how long it seemed to find the room. "Oh, shush, you two. Like either of you was really thinking about the room right now. I would think had we gone a little further, it would have been almost completely forgotten."She then gave a shrug and light laugh at Viv's claim to Achiira. "That's not even a joke. She very much will suddenly pop into your room to pull you out. She's done it to me enough as it is."
