The Amulet Chamber room, Old Abandoned Temple, Dxun
Kivar laughed as he watched the man scream in pain and collapse. That man would have a difficult time recovering from the mental injuries that inflicted on him. Now that he was alone Kivar proceeded to the passageway wondering what state the galaxy was in. Once inside the passageway he began to walk towards the only visible source of light, which he had to assume was coming from outside.
Secret landing pad, Old Abandoned Temple, Dxun
After exiting the passageway Kivar noticed a shuttle with a ton of rust and moss on it. Kivar couldn't recognize the type of shuttle, Has it really been that long, he thought. Shaking his head he soon realized that of course technology would keep advancing. He would need to learn more about the galaxy he had awoken to, but where should he start he thought. Perhaps at his old home. With his destination decided he went to inspect the shuttle.

The aging Victory II-Class Star Destroyer, Necrosis, exited hyperspace above the world of Onderon. Standing at the helm, the armored Sith, Darth Akrak. Healed from the minor injuries sustained during the Sith'ari's trials, Akrak and his trial companion, Znalost, had managed to pass the Sith'ari's trials and gain a position within the Blackguard Reborn. And now, being officially initiated within the organization, they were all considered comrades-in-arms. Which meant they looked out for each other, defying the traditional Sith mindset. While he personally still struggled with the concept, Akrak had been dispatched to Onderon the moment Znalost's recovery beacon had activated. Turning to his second, one Commander Maxwell, he issued orders.
"Znalost's beacon is emitting from Dxun. Position the ship in orbit over the moon and stand at the ready for a fight. Prepare two squads and a fighter escort. We have no idea what is down there. The Sith'ari's orders were clear. Take no prisoners."
Maxwell nodded and saluted the armored Sith. Akrak, however, merely crossed his arms and continued to peer out the central viewport as the ship moved towards Dxun.

Secret landing pad, Old Abandoned Temple, Dxun
Kivar walked through the rusted shuttle and inspected it. The shuttle seemed like it would be able to go from the temple to his old estate. Which was fine since that's where he wanted to go anyways. Kivar could feel the presence of another darksider entering the orbit of Dxun. Damn he thought, Kivar knew that he still wasn't up to full strength, at least not yet. Kivar would not waste any time in leaving the Dxun moon. For he has a plan that he spent the vast majority of his time inside the amulet plotting. First things first he needed to leave Dxun and head to the ruins of his old estate, where he would began phase one of his plan, to rule Onderon. Kivar seated himself in the pilot's seat and started up the shuttle. Hopefully whoever was in orbit was too busy trying to find the temple to notice one lousy rusted shuttle leaving Dxun.
The rusted shuttle's engines revved up and began to lift the shuttle off of the landing pad. the ceiling to the secret landing pad opened up to let the shuttle out. As the shuttle exited the landing zone the ceiling to the secret landing pad closed again. The shuttle began to enter the orbit of Dxun.
As his shuttle was leaving the Dxun orbit and preparing to enter the Onderon Orbit. Kivar could see what appeared to be the flagship of the other darksider that he felt the presence of before. All he could do is hope that no one was looking his way.
The Shuttle continued on it course into the Onderon's Orbit towards Kivar's old estate where he could begin his plan.

The Amulet Chamber room, Old Abandoned Temple, Dxun
Inside Witwer's Mind
After being hit the way he was, Witwer figured that he would be out longer than he was. As he looked around Witwer could see himself and Kivar in the Chamber room, although it was different like there was him standing in the middle of the room, but he was also on his knees after being struck by the force storm. Witwer began to piece it all together, he was seeing a memory fragment.Damn it, he thought.
"Why this memory?"
As Witwer spoke a swirling mystical door opened in the middle of the room. Well might as well go through it. he thought. Witwer walked through the door and as he walked through he could feel his head began to ache. Once out of the portal he notice that he was in another memory fragment. Witwer was puzzled as he didn't remember this event. He could a young man sitting on a stone floor with several Holocrons floating around him. If Witwer had to take a guess, based off of images on the holocrons, he would have to say that the young man was studying the darkside of the force. Although it didn't look like anything he had seen before, at least not during his own training or his time spent in the Sith Archives at the Sith Academy on Iridonia. Interesting, he thought, Maybe something similar to the study of the darkside. Perhaps it could be Sith Alchemy. Right at the end of his thought another swirling mystical door appeared. Witwer didn't need to think about going through the door, he just walked through it.
"What the.."
As he walked out Witwer was bombarded by what looked like mutated creatures and people. As these things bombarded him Witwer could feel a burning sensation deep inside of his skull. He let out a bloody mechanical scream. Witwer collapsed to his knees with both hands against his head. Then all of the sudden the burning sensation stopped, his one eye not covered by his cybernetic mask changed from its normal color to a blazing orange with flakes of an icy blue around the pupil. Witwer stood up and noticed that the mutated creatures were gone. He began to laugh.
"I know what I must do."
Witwer began to realize that his voice changed, even underneath the mechanical sound of his cybernetic mask. Witwer knew that he needed to find the holocrons that the young man was studying from. Another Swirling mystical door opened and when he walked through it he was back at the first memory fragment, although he didn't exit the from the same spot that the first door had appeared, he instead walked around from behind Kivar back to the center of the room.
"Interesting, the young man must have been Kivar without his armor on. So that would mean that the holocrons must be somewhere on this moon. Once I am able to leave this place and find them I have big plans."
With that Witwer could feel himself being dragged back into his body. to be left waiting for someone to rescue him from this cursed place.

Dxun. Abandoned Temple.
Two Lambda-Class Shuttles touched down in a clearing just outside the ancient temple. As the white armored Stormtroopers, clad in the newest armor made available to them via the Sith'ari's connection to the First Order, they began securing the area. Akrak himself, disembarked the shuttle. TIE/fo Fighters soared overhead, patrolling around the area. Marching forward, he signaled the troopers that weren't holding the perimeter to form up and follow him. Since his arrival at Iridonia, several months ago, his forces underwent significant improvements thanks to the Sith'ari's generosity. His Victory-II Star Destroyer had been upgraded with the latest technology. His soldiers had been outfitted with the newest armor and arms. And all his fighters had been replaced with the current generation equivalent. All in all, the Sith'ari's connection to the First Order was certainly useful. Not that Akrak cared too much about it, but it certainly had its perks, that much was certain. Entering the temple ahead of the following troopers, Akrak motioned for them to spread out and secure the area. He had a job to do. As much as he still couldn't grasp the concept that the Sith'ari was trying to achieve, he would follow his orders until such time that the Sith'ari either killed him, or slipped up enough to allow Akrak the opportunity to take his place. And if this Znalost was in trouble, he would assist him. Truthfully, the young man's fate was completely irrelevant to him personally, but the kid did have guts. And he was quite sharp too. He knew his artifacts and most of their respective histories. Pushing forward, Akrak continued onwards towards Znalost's beacon.

Onderon's Orbit.
Weeks had gone by and the first ship of Kivar's Navy was finished, a Victory I-Class Star Destroyer, which was dubbed Starhunter. The crew of Starhunter were in Onderon's orbit going through a check list to ensure that the fist ship of the newly revitalized Onderon Navy was ready for battle, and while most of the crew cared little about the new King, they would follow orders given to them by their superior officers.

Aboard the Graceful Savior
Location: Onderon's Orbit.
Mark Chandler and the crew of the Graceful Savior exited hyperspace in Onderon's Orbit. Where they saw a single ship in it's orbit, Mark sent out a message to the ship via holo. It was his hope that they could reach some sort of agreement without engaging in any combat, but just in case Mark signaled Lieutenant Slattery to have battle stations ready.
"Lieutenant, ready the battle stations. This conversation could go either way."
Yes, sir. All hands ready battle stations.
With that the crew rushed and got all battle stations ready in case they were ordered to fire on the other ship in orbit. Mark then turned and sent out a holo message to the Victory I-Class Star Destroyer that orbits Onderon.
This is Captain Mark Chandler of the Graceful Savior, I received a distress call from Onderon, Me and my crew came to help anyway we can.
Mark waited for a reply from the Victory I-Class Star Destroyer, and prayed that there would be no hostile actions taken.

Onderon's Orbit.
The Captain of the Starhunter received the message from the ship that had dropped from hyperspace and recognized the name of the ship and it's Captain. The Starhunter Captain had served under Mark Chandler during Captain Chandler early career with the Onderon Navy before he joined the Galactic Alliance. The Captain sent a reply to the Graceful Savior.
Thank the gods, you have returned. Much has changed since you left. Old King Bradley is dead and so are his sons, a new man has become King. He is a Tyrant, and must be stopped.
Become the Captain of the Starhunter could continue, his executive office shot him in the back and assumed control of the Starhunter. He had given an order to launch their starfighters. and while most starfighters did launch some did not. Half of the Starhunter crew began to revolt against their new Commanding Officer.

Mark watched in horror as he watched a man who he had served with die. Mark then turned to Lieutenant Slattery and gave the order to launch their starfighters. Mark wanted the enemy to be defeated and their new found allies on the Starhunter saved before they turned their attention to the situation on the ground. Mark had hoped that it wouldn't come to this, but since this was now the situation before them he had to deal with it.
"Lieutenant, launch all fighters and get a boarding party ready. We need to take that ship.
Understand sir, launch all fighters. Boarding party get ready to board the ship.
Mark started to walk off of the bridge before turning to Lieutenant Slattery and informing him that he was in command as he was going with the boarding party.
"Lieutenant, you have command of the ship. I'm joining the boarding party to take control of that ship."
Lieutenant Slattery nodded and Mark continued to walk off of the bridge and changed into his combat gear, then headed down to the hangar bay and joined up with the boarding party. Their ship launched shortly afterwards and it took them a matter of moments to reach the Starhunter and board it. Captain Chandler exited the ship with his men and started make their way towards their new found allies. They engaged several hostile troops along the way, but made quick work of them. It wouldn't be too long before they made their way to the bridge and take control of the Starhunter.

The Dread Loyalist aboard the Starhunter continued to fight against their former brothers and sisters-in-arms. While more and more Dread Loyalist's surrender to their enemy, as they had no desire to kill their own people. It wouldn't be to much longer before the Starhunter fell into their hands, but not before the acting captain could send a transmission to the Dread Palace informing them of the attack.

Aboard the Starhunter.
Location: Onderon's Orbit.
Mark and his troops and their new found allies continued to press their attack against the Dread Loyalist. Mark noticed that most of the enemy troops were surrendering without a fight, Mark saw this as a good thing. The last thing he wanted was for innocent Onderonians to lose their lives for a tyrant's cause and he made sure that those that did surrender were treated fairly, until after the Starhunter was in their control.
A few moments later.
MArk and his boarding party had arrived at the bridge and were about to take it. When he heard blaster fire coming from inside the bridge. Mark and his men rushed in and saw that the man who had shot the captain of the Starhunter was now dead on the floor with the rest of the bridge crew with their hands raised in the air.
"What happened here?"
The Acting Captain, would have betrayed us all. We wanted to surrender and he wasn't having any of it.
"I see, son. I would like to thank each one of you for standing up for what you believe in. It's not an easy thing to do."
Mark walked over to the comms and sent an all clear to Lieutenant Slattery. He then turned and faced his men and the men of the Starhunter, then spoke.
"I know what you all went through was tough on you all, but this fight isn't over. Not until we have taken back control of own homeworld and help those down there that are suffering under the Dread King's rule. It won't be easy, but if we all work together we can emerge victorious and then Onderon will be free once again."
Even though it wasn't his best speech it inspire the men and women of both The Starhunter and of The Graceful Savior. It was shortly afterwards that both ship began to deploy their troops for a ground assault against the Dread King.

Emerging from hyperspace in high orbit over Onderon, the OSV Galvanizer, an Arctodus-Class Heavy Transport, decelerated and allowed itself to drift, while contacting the authorities that be.Onderon Traffic Control, this is the OSV Galvanizer, carrying a representative of The Organization. We seek an audience with your leader. Advise? With the message sent, now all that could be done was wait for a response.

The Star Destroyer dubbed Starhunter was acting as the Traffic control until one could be built and the comms officers on board the ship were acting as the Traffic Control officers until further notice. When a star ship entered Onderon's orbit, the Comms Officer on duty did not recognize the ship then the ship hailed them and requested permission to land and to speak with the Admiral, hero of Iziz and leader of the newly formed Onderonian Federation. The Comms Officer relaid the information up his chain of command and waited for a response from them, not more than a few seconds had passed since he sent the information up his chain of command did he receive instructions to relay to the OSV Galvanizer.
Galvanizer, you have permission to land at Spaceport Federale, landing bay three. A taxi speeder will be waiting for you as well as a guard to escort you to the Federation Palace.
With that the Comms Officer transmitted landing codes to the ship and informed his superior officer that the message had been relayed as ordered.

The span of several minutes had passed before a response came through. Wasting no time to reply, the pilot responded.
Understood.
Altering its vector and beginning approach, the OSV Galvanizer accelerated towards the planet's surface, specifically Federale Spaceport.

The Kandosii-class battleship Invincible Reason exits hyperspace in the Onderon system, and makes an approach to Dxun, the moon in closest orbit to the world of Onderon.
Full scan, let's have a picture of the system. Came the order from the vessel's master, surveying the system from the command bridge.
Clan Australis was paying a call on the Onderon system, known to have a history with the Mandalorian people, and getting the lay of the land. Dxun was a fine location for an outpost, as had been there in times past, and the Mando'ade might well take up residence once more.

The word about the IRI being the new power in the Inner Rim had not yet filtered down to the less savoury elements of the galactic underworld. Piracy was still a problem, and with the IRI's military and navy still being formed up, much of the patrol work was being contracted out to Mando'ade, mostly from Clan Australis. A single fighter squadron was generally all that could be spared for most patrol routes, though some light cruisers and escort ships had been rushed into IRI livery and to service as quickly as possible.Following the confrontation on Onderon, "Lord" Reyn Australis had met with local authorities to discover he had been nominated as Myrkr's representative to the IRI High Council. He'd sent his polite but firm declining of the offer by holocomm, and quickly moved out from Onderonian Federation territory to avoid further issues with the locals. As his squadron moved past the moons of Onderon, their sensors alerted them to a known pirate force returning from Dagri, one of the moons.Reyn commed the vessel, ensuring his squadron were ready and in on the comm. Pirate cruiser, cut your engines. This is the Inner Rim Imperium. The Nikto sounding Captain of the pirate force came back almost at once. ::Make us. You have no authority here. And you're way outnumbered.:: The cruiser began launching fighters. Three full squadrons, of uglies, but enough to outmatch the Mando fighters three to one, and the Mandos without a capital ship. For now, that was.Reyn sent a hypercomm signal, then switched back to the open comm. ::I'm so glad you see it that way. Also this isn't my entire force.:: Only moments later, a Tiger-class cruiser, the Protector, painted white and in brand new IRI livery, exited hyperspace. The carrier-cruiser began deploying its own fighters, six full squadrons of Deathseed fighters, and now it was the pirates who were vastly overmatched. The battle was a short one, with the IRI force making short work of the pirate fighters, while several broadsides from the Protector hammered down the pirate cruiser's shields, and blasted several large rents in the primary hull. Comm jamming prevented the pirates from sending any surrender message, if they did so, it was drowned out when the Tiger-class cruiser's main mass driver weapon holed the ship with a precise hit, detonating its reactors and blowing it to space dust. Thanks for the assist, Protector, Stormwolf Squadron out. And Reyn took his squadron away and to hyperspace, leaving the patrol cruiser to mop up and coordinate with Onderon authorities, taking the surviving pirates into custody.

A brand new Dungeon-Class Star Frigate exits hyperspace near the Inner Rim planet of Onderon. Her IFF reads as Nightbringer, part of Clan Australis, and she is painted a deep crimson. Rudely ignoring Onderon Traffic Control, the warship heads directly for the jungle moon of Dxun. The ship takes a parabolic course, as the moons Evas, Dagri and Suthre are all making close passes with the planet. Aboard Nightbringer are the Night Lords commando unit, almost the entire cadre, heading to restore the Mandalorian facilities on the moon, and to do some hunting. Intel had noted several pirate and slaver outposts on Dxun. Those would be removed in short order once Te Ca Alore arrived onworld. Previous Mandalorian settlements had converted the ancient Tomb of Freedon Nadd for Mando use, and the reoccupation would begin there. Nightbringer settled into a low orbit above the site, and began dispatching landing craft to the surface. Heavy landers followed, deploying the commandos' vehicles, equipment, and stores. Though Clan Australis was doing the re-establishment work for the Mandalorian Outpost, it would be open and available to all the Clans once fit for service once more. First, they'd need to clear the vermin from the moon. Onderon hung high and blue in the sky, as the Mandalorians got to work. The system was now under the administration of the Inner Rim Imperium, which technically included Dxun, however Onderon tended to keep to itself, and leave the moon well alone. Should the system come under assault, the forces on Dxun would support Onderon if attacked. For the time being, the Mandos on Dxun were hunting.

Dxun, Moon of Onderon, Onderon Orbit
It had just gone from evening to night, the last remnants of sunlight from the system's primary disappearing over the horizon from the Mandalorian Outpost, starlight coming out, vivid and bright on the uncivilized jungle moon. It was hot and humid, the leftover heat of the day permeating almost everything. Even though the Night Lords commando unit had only been on the moon for two days, it seemed the local wildlife had already learned to avoid the base, and there was only the sound of insects and small amphibians rejoicing at the predator-free zone around the encampment. The commandos were the Clan's advance team, sent to make the place safe enough for less ferocious, relatively speaking, fellow Mando'ade. Dxun had been left to ruin, and smugglers, pirates, and worse had set up shop. Most of the first day had been reconaissance, cataloguing 83 separate locations, about half in current use, and marking targets. Kaine had been very clear in his orders. They were to work on the base for eight days. On the eighth night, anyone who had not vacated the moon was fair game. He had been specific, he was always specific and detailed when giving the 8th Battalion their orders. To do otherwise was to invite heavy pillaging, and worse. The eighth night had arrived. By estimates, there were just over a thousand targets on Dxun. Over the course of several hours of that eighth night, terror came to the jungle moon. The beings of the 8th were not a pleasant lot by nature, and their armour reflected this, with skulls, bones, and other macabre trophies adorning the spiked and barbed adornments. Their armour was an eclectic mix, with the common theme of being horrifying. Those who saw them coming did not enjoy the experience. Sometimes the commandos were silent as they moved in among sleeping beings and cut their throats. Sometimes they lit themselves up with flares and charged into the enemy screaming and shouting and waving their weapons. Sometimes they made sport of fleeing enemies, picking them off with aimed fire as they tried to escape into the jungle. Concentrations of heavily armed mercenaries were drawn into pre-prepared ambushes, and with the element of surprise on the Mandalorians' side, the fighting was very one-sided. Most of the rest got a clean quick death, more or less, their possessions up for looting once the fighting was done. All but fifteen were wiped out to the last, no quarter was given, and the quick clean death was the only mercy on offer. The unfortunate survivors were collected into a clearing, where some of the worst of the worst of the unit awaited them, along with a holocam with a live feed going out across the Onderon System where it could be picked up and relayed far and wide. The commandos, violent beings by nature, had been restrained for a week, and allowed only to recon, and they had made sure they had known who the enemy leaders were, and where they lived. A short and wiry Mando removed his blood red buy'ce to reveal a Bothan face. He was Jaing Nail'ya, the commander of this merry bunch of misfits. All of the commandos had once been prisoners of one sort or another, for various reasons. They were really not nice beings. Nail'ya was one of the worst, he had to be to lead this sort of professional scumbag. He took his time leering at each of the captives. "This is a message to the galaxy's criminal scum. Pack up and get out, or else. These beings did not pack up and get out. Witness their fate."The Mandalorians had done their homework, with a week to recon, they'd had the luxury of time to run facial recognition databases and identify the big cheeses among the assortment of criminal scum. None of them were worth recruiting, and all of them had done very nasty things of one form or another, some worse than others. The holocam, operated expertly by one of the Mandos, played across all the captives as the Bothan narrated their names and deeds. Nail'ya took his time, this was as much a demonstration as it was an execution. Shooting the scum in the brain pan didn't send a message. What occured that night would, though it would not be the sort of viewing suitable for younger beings or those of a sensitive nature. The first being in line was a Fluggrian from the world of Ploo, and he was old, scared, no defiance left in him. He was a slaver, and he knew his crimes merited death. "Bib Inoonoo. Slaver scum. I know a fellow who was once a slave. Braywook?"Death came for him when Nail'ya pronounced sentence and another hulking Mando came over and roared a very Wookiee roar of anger. In a moment, the slaver was lifted off his feet by his arms, which were then torn from his flailing body and tossed aside. He screamed and fell to earth with his bleeding stumps flapping helplessly as he writhed his last in the dirt, the Bothan leaving him for the camera and moving on. "Next up, a very naughty Besalisk. Oro Jettster. You beat three twi'lek dancing girls to death. Jaina here would like a word with you about that. Jaina?"The large and powerful Besalisk stood up as a small female moved over to stand before him. She stood very still, and then the man began to smile. He never finished it, as she moved faster than his eyes could see, and broke his jaw with a single punch. The loud crack was matched by the cheers of the crowd of commandos. In what seemed like moments, it was over, but not before the young ex-slave had broken all six of the scumbag's limbs and caved in his skull. Nail'ya moved on, grinning malevolently at the line of captives. "Gran Ortigibi, who preys on little boys and girls." Nail'ya stopped smiling abruptly as he described the fat and cowering human male's crimes. "This one's mine." He said, reaching out a gloved hand to touch Ortigibi's face. "We have a flesh eating solution that can dissolve a being in seconds. The one I just gave you will take about an hour. Die slow." He said, almost nonchalantly, and walked to the next captive. The holocam covered every grisly minute of the hour-long special broadcast. For the rest of the hour, the Bothan Captain-General dispensed rough justice live on the HoloNET. The worst offenders, those that preyed on kids, got the slow death that they deserved. Others were hanged, beaten, or impaled. The torturous punishments meted out were varied, colourful, and very instructive. The deaths of those who had committed the most heinous offences were the climax of the broadcast, as their bodies were liquified while they were still alive. It was like burning, but much slower, and just as painful, inside and out. Finally, all of them were dead and Nail'ya signed off. "This is your one and only warning. Be seeing you." He said, leering at the holocam. He was enjoying himself. The Mandalorians were sending a message that criminal scum would find no mercy and no respite in the Onderon system, and that the galaxy had rules. Also that the galaxy also had beings who would use the most brutal and painful methods to ensure those rules were followed, and to put fear into the scum that would prey on the weak and vulnerable.

A matalok dropped out of hyperspace and did a quick scan. Seeing no obvious traffic or defenses, the ship moved to Dxun.
The matalok settled into the atmosphere of the demon moon. This, this place Esthh thought, would be a good home for the Vong, except for its history of fascination with the Jedi and Sith that kept drawing them here. The jungles were dangerous and filled with brutal predators that made most of the rest in the galaxy tuck their tails or spines and run for the proverbial hills...or simply get turned into dinner or small pieces. A place for warriors, and no place for anything else, fight, be strong, or die. There were a number of species on the target list for this moon. Three on this moon, and two more on Onderon, plus any bonuses. Two of the beasts on Dxun were flying ones, and aggressive, he didn’t expect to have any issues with finding them, along with one of the others, the zakkeg that was the largest ground predator on Dxun. This would be a different kind of hunt he was sure, more a combat gathering than a one sided affair.
Esthh assigned one squadron to always be escorted by a pair of blast boulders in case they got in trouble. The matalok, he was certain, would be able to take care of itself. It didn’t take long when he sent out the squadrons with their blast boulder escorts when they were set upon by drexl. The beasts came roaring out of a canyon that had high cliffs and there was a short melee of dodging and twisting animals as they tried to find out how edible the coralskippers were. The coralskippers responded by shooting some of the creatures down, dragging the wounded or the fully captured and struggling creatures back to the matalok. Esthh looked the creatures over as he helped the shapers take samples, before dispatching the wounded animals and dismembering them to be used as bait for later. The drexls were now taken care of as far as getting samples of the creatures, and if the speed of their arrival was anything to go by, getting diverse samples wouldnt be an issue.
He sent the squadron of coralskippers to lay the dead and butchered drexl on some bare rocks and wait in ambush, settled on the tops of trees, hiding, camouflaged in vegetation. All three squadrons were sent out to different areas to increase their chances, one was sent up into the mountains, one sent into the hills, and another into the lowlands, all using the same tactic, except for the one in the mountains. They just laid their like the rocks they looked like on other ridges to keep an eye on the bait.
The coralskippers on the heights didn’t take long to draw in more drexl but the beasts quickly circled away, apparently not willing to eat their own...at least not right now. The light started fading and the warriors waited still.
It wasnt until the moon started setting for the warriors in the low areas until something happened, chunks of meat started moving. Not sure what they were looking at the squadron commander ordered the trap sprung. Six coralskippers urged their dovin basals to increase gravity over the baited area. There seemed to be no movement, for whatever reason the warriors still couldn’t see anything there, even though they had increased the gravity nearly nine times, firmly pinning anything there to the ground, unless it was incredibly strong that is. The other six coralskippers lifted off, and carefully spread the blorash jelly infused nets across the area. The nets revealed something. There was something there alright, seven of them. The commander ordered the dovin basals to slacken and the beasts, whatever they were started wheezing, catching their breath before they started roaring and growling, and even started thrashing and biting at the nets before the blorash jelly reacted and started binding the creatures movements. Slowly they became visible, the commander thought they looked quite mangy, thin, not feline but not canine, huge teeth that stuck out, sharp and yellow. It didn’t matter to him, but the fact that these creatures couldn’t be seen until after they were in the bait was something the commander would be interested in. Esthh was indeed interested in the creatures. They were ones that he was looking for, Maalraas. Supposedly they could turn invisible, apparently the legends were true, but he didn’t know how. The creatures did have on offensive odor though. He was fortunate that it seemed they had an entire pack captured. It would be nice to have a second pack, at least for the genetic diversity.
The next action didn’t come until halfway through the next day when the group waiting in the hills had a large armored quadruped growled and thumped its way into the open, absolutely fearlessly. The commander of the squadron surmised that this was a zakkeg. Looking at the creature and knowing it was supposed to be the alpha predator on this planet, and it was on the commanders list, he ordered the trap sprung. Six of the coralskippers increased the gravity on the creature as two others leapt up and moved over the struggling creature who was doing its level best to put permanent gouges into the rock. The two coralskippers used their implanted arrest tentacles to wrap up the creature and carry it back to the matalok where the creature was secured in a more permanent manner. The angry creature had no issue with informing anyone and everyone that it was not going quietly, and it took four times the normal amount of blorash jelly just so they could keep the creatures mouth shut long enough to get some samples enough to come up with a sedative for the beast. This was after it wrecked two hibernation chambers and bit partway through a coralskipper.
Esthh doubted that such a creature would live in packs, and the information that he could find on them seemed to indicate that they were solitary creatures except during a short mating season, and even then things came to violence far more often than procreating. He ordered the coralskipper squadron that had found the beast to move a hundred kilometers away across a river and try again, sending out the squadron that had brought in the maalraas out as well.
It took four days and twenty more drexl and a hundred dead cannock before they managed to get two more zakkeg, but it did net three more packs of maalraas. The coralskippers in the mountains had the greatest challenge when a new winged threat emerged. Nearly two dozen orange winged beasts came swarming out of the sky. The four legged beasts laid into the drexl parts without a hesitation, and they had a violent way about it. The records from S’korr matched the description of Skreev. The creatures were supposed to be vicious, more so than drexls, but this time the coralskippers had the jump on the creatures. In the time tested fashion half of the coralskippers increased the gravity rapidly until the skreev were pinned to the ground, long enough for the other pairs to drape blorash jelly infused nets across the creatures. The animals were by no means small, and the beasts managed to rip two of the nets and screamed at the coralskippers before the blorash jelly managed to pinned their wings to their bodies and they crashed to the ground, screaming and roaring their defiance and rage. The commander called in a transport with shapers and another squadron of coralskippers for transport. The shapers, upon examining the creatures decided that it would be best to subdue them completely in place and put them in hibernation chambers on the spot, rather than try to transport the creatures to the matalok and then into hibernation. They started the hibernation chambers growing around the creatures as the matalok headed their direction.
The shapers had taken samples from most of the beasts and gotten them sedated, most of them, when one of the coralskipper pilots called out that there were more of the creatures heading their way. Caught without a trap in place the coralskippers scrambled to do battle. Two squadrons of coralskippers formed up in a screen as the skreev, which were larger than the coralskippers, nearly twice as large soared towards what they felt were either intruders into their territory, or food…more likely both. The coralskippers didn’t have an issue this time with using lethal force, the shapers would just have to collect samples from pieces of dead animals. The pilots might capture and haul back crippled beasts, but that was an after thought. The coralskippers opened fire as the beasts swarmed towards them. The skreevs had never faced a threat like this before, and the disciplined firepower and fire arcs of the coralskipper pilots shredded the creatures. The creatures size was turned against them as molten balls of plasma zipped through bodies and burned holes in wings, sending broken screaming bodies pinwheeling towards the ground. Only two actually got close enough to be a danger to the coralskippers, and were quickly pinned in place by dovin basals from multiple coralskippers before being wrapped up by arrest tentacles from its fellows. Coralskippers started delivering dead, dying, or crippled creatures to the shapers, a handful at a time, sometimes dispatching the creatures first, sometimes afterwards as the shapers decided to take a number of bodies for dissection and experimentation.
Esthh was monitoring this when one of his shapers alerted him to something that she had discovered on a handful of the maalraas. A parasite that seemed to be from a particular maalrass pack from an area where there were more caves. Two of the eight seemed to be half covered in the things, and attempts to remove the parasites were proving difficult, the only one having been removed were physically cut from the beast. Esthh ordered the beasts, the whole pack from that had infection to be completely isolated until the parasite was understood, rather concerned that the parasite had to be physically cut from its victim and the coufee’s and amphistaffs had great difficulty trying to get through the creature’s protections.
It took another six hours for the hibernation cocoons to finish growing around the intact skreevs and for them to be loaded or attached to the matalok. Then the matalok left the Demon Moon, climbing up into vacuum towards the moon's primary, Onderon.

With several brilliant flashes, Task Force Hellfire, the primary military arm of the ISB, dropped out of Hyperspace in Onderon's atmosphere. The civil unrest happening on the surface was what had drawn the Grand Inquisitor's attention in the first place, such a world on the boarders of the Empire, it wouldn't due to have it fall into untrustworthy hands, especially not at these unstable times. Additionally it's proximity to the fabled and lost planet of Ruusan had made it even more a priority of Zariel's agenda. In fact, some of the very equipment on the surface may have been made easier to acquire thanks to ISB intervention. But there would be no paper trails to prove any of that, the Inquisitor was too careful for that. Now she had come to return "stability" to the region. All that she needed now was for Lotus to arrive with the package they had acquired and all the pieces would be set for Zariel to start her hunt for the Valley of the Jedi.
