Luxeria continued on just a little beside and behind Vurkar. He was the one mostly in charge for he had the experience. She might have been considered just as much in charge, but she thought it best to stay back the tiniest bit, close enough to show others the position she had, yet back enough to let those who had experience and understand of leadership to truly take the reigns while she watched and learned.
She listened to his words, feeling his eyes upon her. No doubt that he, too, had a sort of attraction towards her, though she was quite certain he wasn't getting caught up in infatuation. He was a warrior and a Sith, two things that she had come to realize made a person strong and smart. As quickly as she felt the eyes upon her, they were gone. But she did nod, understand what he saw in the Sith ways of old, their failures and the failing of others who still followed them and allowed their numbers to falter time and time again.
"He will not need to be concerned about me becoming a complacent and becoming lazy either as an apprentice, nor a warrior under him. I seek power, but I understand that power, as well as respect, does not come overnight. And without both tied together, you simply make yourself a target to those around you. Even when my time as an apprentice ends, my training and desire to be more than I was the day before shall not end. The knowledge, after all, is unending. I've seen that truth. Each time I thought I saw the extent on the Force's power, some new was revealed. I know now that the depths of the Force is unfathomable, which leads to constant discover and improvement." She looked a breath and let it out with a sigh, her lungs hurting slightly from the cold air. Yet, that pain work her up, ignited the fire, and kept the spirit burning. "While I do seek power, I do not wish for the position of power the others had. To go to a place and seep into the mind's of others, altering their will just enough that they seem to follow me by there own choice, that is what I seek in time. But to be held in such a high place, to be seen as such is not something I care for. In such a case, Lord Malvus will never have to worry about me trying to overthrow him."

Vurkar was quite surprised by these words said by Luxeria. It was Sith tradition that an apprentice would, one day, outmatch their master and kill them, taking up the title of Dark Lord or Lady as a sign of their succession in the line. Yet here, Luxeria only desired one half of the equation; only the power and not the duty that came with any title. It seemed to the Sith that the young Apprentice desired nothing but power and knowledge; power to be supreme and knowledge to defeat her foes.
I never expected that from you, Luxeria. It seems you have managed to completely surprise me, which is a rarity. So I hand you a victory.
He offers her a smile before pausing as Vurkar noticed the troops had halted. One of them was running towards Luxeria and Vurkar, bringing a report from the vanguard. It seemed they had reached their destination and the charges were being set for maximum effect. The Sith nods to the trooper and begins to call in all regiments, making sure the Seswenna Vanguard was all in place and still with him. Anyone could get lost in these tunnels after all.

"Well, if anything, I feel that choice appeals to your father. After all, doesn't he seek to move passed some of the ways of the old Sith, including killing the master? And anyway, it doesn't suit me. I see killing different than most Sith. Make no mistake, I have no issues killing anyone, but there is a time and a place. Only if a being's death benefits me will I kill someone. That or if there's no other way out of a fight. Otherwise, I'd rather use them in one form or another. Also, as long as he lives, he'll keep seeking and gaining knowledge which can be passed to me. If I killed him, how much do I hinder my own potential."
When they came to a stopped, Luxeria watched as the trooper came and informed them of the current situation. As Vurkar made sure everyone was ready, she merely watched until he was set. "So, should we knock?" She let out a slight scoff at her little joke, ready to do what needed to be done and get out of here.

Vurkar nodded to his father's apprentice and then gave the signal to the Snowtrooper who brought the news. The soldier nodded and rushed back to the front of the column with Vurkar trailing behind him. The Sith was gonna make sure he was among the first to make his way into the fortress and claim the glory of battle.
As he neared the front of the column, the Sith's eyes noticed Snowtroopers laying down explosive charges upon the thinnest area of the ice-covered metal wall that separated them from the internal structure of the mountain fortress. The troopers did not pause to salute Vurkar as he landed himself at the front of the column, examining the first wave of troops, comprised of elite shocktroopers and some jumptrooper squads. There were even some Snowtroopers present with flametroopers attached to their gauntlets. The Sith heard the last beeping charge be planted and the swift retreat of the explosive experts back into the ranks. The Sith drew his long-handled lightsaber and awaited for the right moment.
The beeping devices slowly began to speed up as the countdown came to a close. Even though a wall of metal separated the Snowtroopers from the inside of the fortress, Vurkar could sense fear and curiosity growing within soldiers who were stationed near their entry point, wondering what the beeping was and where it was coming from. Suddenly, the devices went all quiet for a long moment... The tunnel was filled with silence...
A loud click was heard followed by a bright light as the explosives went off instantly; screams and yells were heard as soldiers on the other side were flung from the wall and others noticed the sudden forced entry. Before the smoke could clear, Vurkar's lightsaber was ignited and he jumped up onto a melted ledge, slashing down two sharpshooters. Seconds later, the Snowtroopers charged into the fray, firing E-11 blasters and rockets through the smoke. Jumptroopers blasted their jetpacks and landed on higher ground, blasting away at confused and confounded rebels. Outside of the fortress, shells could be felt, pounding the external layer of the mountain, even from where Vurkar stood. The tremors of AT-ATs and artillery was music to his ears as the Sith rushed forward, slashing down a few more approaching rebels.
The battle for Alzoc III had begun...

Luxeria followed behind Vurkar as he moved to the front, ready to lead the surprise attack. She would be there as well, ready to show her worth to Malvus by eliminating all those who stood before her. She stood behind Vurkar and a little to his right, removing her own saber, though left it inactive. No sense in warning the enemy that Sith were right at their door.
For a moment, all went deathly quiet before the sudden explosion that tore away the door, covering the area in a blanket of dirt and ice. Vurkar pressed forward and Luxeria followed behind, moving more to the right so not to get in his way. She jumped into the air and ignited her saber and brought it down against a trio of rebels. The saber cut through the middle soldier, before cutting to the right, then the left, bringing down the other two. None were expecting this and many were left wide open for an attack. Their mistake. She turned to her right and threw her saber as it spun like a disc, cutting through two more soldiers that were running towards her. Directing the saber back to her hand, she could fel the vibrations of the battle above, and glanced upwards for a moment as she caught her saber.
She only gave a smirk before turning and moved forward, keeping pace with Vurkar, slashing through any enemies that made it passed him.

The dust began to settle as the repulsortanks rolled out of the massive hole, blasted by earlier explosives. Their turrets tore through flesh and metal; taking out whole squads of soldiers in a flurry of lasers and missiles. Officers began barking orders to the Seswenna Vanguard as they began to spread out; their orders were simple: sweep and eliminate. No quarter was to be given and no surrenders would be accepted. The entire rebel fortress was under a Purge order from the highest commanding official... Darth Malvus.
Several squads of Shocktroopers joined up with Vurkar and Luxeria as the Sith made their way down the main corridor of the fortress. Readings indicated that the main power supplies for the automated defensive grid and artillery were nearby. Here, the fighting was heavy. The most elite of the rebel troops were present, defending a vital part of their fortress. Yet they were mowed down by the precision and discipline of the advancing Shocktroopers and their feared Sith commanders. Vurkar slashed a door open and cut through several rebels that were planning an ambush within the room. He left the room only moments later and continued the advance. Suddenly, the Sith began to sprint forward towards what appeared to be some troopers setting up an E-Web repeating blaster. The rebels were setting down the turret as Vurkar slashed it in half before cutting the entire squad in two.
Throughout the entire fortress, the Seswenna Vanguard advanced on all quarters. None could halt the momentum of their advance. Barracks were cleared, residential areas swept, ammunition locations exploded, and all personnel terminated. The repulsortanks went down below to the armory; the corridors shook sometime at the explosion of a major ammunition cache or some vehicles being destroyed by the armored division. This was no battle... it was an utter massacre...

Luxeria kept in close proximity to Vurkar as they progressed. There was no reason to split up as each room and area was cleared by either Vurkar, herself, or the troops coming in behind them. Nothing was left untouched as they made their way through the fortress. She had no idea of the layout, another reason for keeping close to Vurkar. They would be heading the same way, seeking the same goal. There was no hiding from them, no running that wasn't pointless.
Any guards who appeared behind Vurkar or herself, or even was lucky enough to make it passed Vurkar, she took down with a few single strikes from her saber or being crushed by the Force. Lightning was of no use here, not with the swiftness they were moving. But she was sure to embrace the feelings swirling within the Force. The fear, the pain of their enemies mixed with the adrenaline and excitement of tearing through them. She was just waiting for the goal, ready to move on that which brought them into the fortress in the first place: their leader. Certainly they would pass the controls for the defenses outside and take them down as to arrest any counter attacks by the enemy from the attack above, letting Solaris roll in without further issue. Killing the defenses and showing the army moving through would show the might they held and how everyone else fell before them in death or surrender. From every direction, Malvus's plan was coming together.

A shock vibrated through the floor as an artillery shell slammed against the mountain nearby. Vurkar suspected they were near the controls for the defensive grid. He nodded to the Stormtroopers present who rushed forward to perform the task. His own personal task was cutting the head off the serpent, and that was the elimination of the self-proclaimed Warlord of Alzoc. He turns to Luxeria.
I have my own personal mission to attend to now. Much of this battle will be over with shortly, Luxeria. It has become more of a massacre at this point. Continue leading the troops or join me, the choice is yours in this situation.
Without another word, Vurkar force-sprinted down the hallway, heading for where he sensed there was a large presence of remaining rebel soldiers and one particular person who was greatly afraid. Very very afraid.

Luxeria listened to his words and watched as he tore off down the hall. The choice wasn't a difficult one. The troops with them where more than capable of tending to any enemies that came their way. They were loyal and knew their orders. Now that they had arrived at the location of the defense grid, there was little more to do than take it over and defend the area, something the troops could handle without Vurkar or Luxeria.
Quickly, she made of down the hall, working to catch up from the bit of a head start he had gained. Their mission was drawing to a close and she intended to see it through to the end. It was her first mission and she would finish and show herself worthy and capable of tending to the jobs given to her.

It was easy to follow Vurkar, even when he vanished from view. One just had to follow the sudden and quick screams of agony or the dead bodies lying around. The path led up a few levels towards the center of the mountain fortress. As the Sith drew closer to his intended target, the number of soldiers seemed to only increase. Luxeria would finally catch up to him as Vurkar was slashing down a couple squads of heavy armed soldiers. Their weapons and appearance seemed to indicate a private guard or elite core of the standing rebel army.
Vurkar moved swiftly, weaving between laser bolts and those armed with the blasters. Heads would roll, arms would be severed and cries of agony would be silenced with the sizzling of a red lightsaber in their throat or hearts. Even as he turned to walk away from the carnage, two more soldiers popped out and fired at his back. The Sith barely lifted a finger; his lightsaber twirled behind his back, reflecting the bolts back at the two soldiers. They would fall to the ground quickly. The Sith looked around for a moment, then turned to see Luxeria follow him.
I can sense the fear of this warlord. It reeks of pathetic existence and incompetence... ugh! I better find him soon or I might go dull with my force senses.

Luxeria caught up with Vurkar, the path of destruction her guide. He had left little for her, taking down all who stood before him. She had been certain of his abilities, their own spar proof of that. Despite how she might have come out in it, For now, Vurkar was definitely the stronger and more skilled. Such enemies barely held against their troopers, to which meant they stood no chance against Vurkar.
She arrived just to watch the final two fall before him. She merely shook her head with a smirk as she moved up beside him, stepping over the mass bodies scattered about. "I can sense it as well. The fool couldn't even begin to realize that he's only making a beacon of himself to us." When he went on about the fear of the warlord possibly dulling his senses, she couldn't help but give a quick laugh as she rested a hand on her hip. "Well then, let's finish this shall we? Malvus is waiting for us to finish to move on to another task."

Vurkar didn't say a word as he advanced down the hallway. His path ending at a large door that was locked from the inside. The stench of the warlord was very prominent in the Force now; which meant he was cowering behind this very structure. The Sith then went about pounding the door with Force techniques made for such a purpose. His senses began to pick up approaching rebel soldiers on the other side as they lined up to take down whoever was knocking down.
After a few more attacks, Vurkar then resorted to forcing the door open. Drawing upon his inner rage and the Dark Side, his hands were flung forth and gripped the door with the force. The massive hinges and frame began to groan as Vurkar attempted to twist the metal and separate it, in the hopes ofallowing them enough room to enter.

Luxeria stopped a bit behind Vurkar as they reached the door. Her saber was in hand as he began pounding at the door with the Force. With most attacks that went by, she was surprised that it didn't give sooner. Even when he had to start twisting the metal to open it, she figured the door, if anything was built for this kind of attack. Sad that a single door was putting up more of a fight than any of the soldiers.
She heard the twisting and groaning as he worked at the door. She focused upon the door and the flow of the Force. If she was going to aid him, she had to know how he was twisting it so not to counteract his own work. She let herself dive into her own darkness and power as she reached out her hands to the door, sorting out his aproach. When she felt that she had, she began to aid him as she worked to break open the door as well.

The door began to move on side and left a wide enough gap for the pair to enter. Vurkar draw his lightsaber instantly and rushed forward, head first, into a storm of laser bolts. The Sith propelled himself into the air and landed behind a set of makeshift barricades. Before nearby blasters could be turned on him, the Sith, with a vile grin upon his face, unleashed a blast of force lightning; electrocuting the rebels foolish enough to be near him. He whipped around and slashed two more that tried to lunge at Vurkar.
He glances off to his left, noticing Luxeria's progress before advancing head first once more. He grabbed loose objects such as crates and containers, throwing them at obstacles and soldiers in front of him. Even among the commotion, Vurkar could hear the desperate orders being yelled at by the warlord somewhere ahead of him.

Luxeria let Vurkar make his way through first before following suit, the red blade of her saber coming to life. The moment she passed through the doors she was in the air. Al attention had been directed to Vurkar, her own entrance almost unnoticed. With her free hand, she unleashed a barrage of lightning upon those below, not enough to truly do any harm so much as hold them in place for Vurkar to rip through them. She was coming down just as Vurkar jumped through the air, passing just in front of her. She landed and dropped to a knee, her saber out to her side. In that split second time between landing and looking back up, Vurkar had already tended to those around him.
Quick on his heels, Luxeria ran just behind him. As he went on throwing stuff , Luxeria closed the final gap between them and leapt high above Vurkar and threw her saber at those in front of them. She gave it a slight bend as it released from her hand, spinning like a disc through the soldiers that dared stand before them. As the saber left her hand, her left was pulled back and a Force Burst just large enough to fill her palm emerged and was launched to blow who remained away.
As she fell to the ground after the peak of her jump, she spun and forced herself to land just to Vurkar's left. By now, none should have remained. If they did, they were recovering from her last attack. She reached out her hand and her saber returned to her hand as she looked towards where the warlord waited, fear pouring off of him. He knew that final fear that death awaited him and nothing would save him. She took in a deep breath as her eyes focused upon him, feeding off of that fear.

Vurkar slowly made his way to where movement could be heard, the single person who remained. A voice was being heard, barking for more troops over a comlink that had long gone silent. Commanders were not answering, units going completely dark... the warlord was alone. When his appearance came into view, the self-proclaimed ruler look like a very simple person. He had aged quite a bit, looking to be closing in on his fifties. His hair was done with a wispy white-haired mustache upon his narrow and gaunt face. His grey Imperial uniform was crisp and clean, a man unworthy to wear such a dignified outfit.
The 'Moff,' as he will be labeled as now, reached for a blaster quickly to point at his assailants. Yet Vurkar waved his hand, causing the blaster to fly away on invisible wings. Sweat was evident upon the brow of the warlord as he frantically looked around. He stood up and ran to the other side, unable to speak any words. He fumbled around the room for now as Vurkar trailed him silently. The aged Imperial finds himself cornered, sweat dripping down his face. He grabbed a nearby helmet and hurled it, which was batted away by Vurkar's hand. The warlord gulped loudly.
You would dare harm the Lord Protector of the Frozen Wastelands! I have more troops coming ya hear? I will not be stopped, I will not silenced, I will be vict-.... Gah!!
Vurkar's hand reached out and gripped his gaunt neck tightly. And with simple ease, it cracked and the Warlord was silent. The aged male falls to the ground, limp and dead. The Sith spits upon the deceased man's body before turning to the comlink, sending an encrypted message to Solaris. His eyes then turned to Luxeria.
We'd best report to my father.

Luxeria didn't move from her spot as the warlord began to move about the room, seeking a way to escape, though there was none around. She crossed her arms and gave a smirk of amusement. She couldn't help but see how pathetic one could be when faced with a power they couldn't compete with. He truly thought he was somebody, despite the cold truth that nothing he had stood against the two of them. All that was left for him would be the painful end. Her smirk grew as she heard his words become cut off and his life ended. It was done, though it had been anticlimactic. Getting to him was a bit of a challenge, but the ending didn't live up to the hype.
When Vurkar finished taking the warlord's life and sent the message to Solaris, she began moving towards Vurkar. The job was done, and as he had said, it was time to report to Malvus. She pulled out the comlink Solaris had given her before the mission started and activated it. It had been given to her to report to Malvus and believed it was linked straight to him.

The lights would be dimmed as the transceiver that Luxeria had was linked up to a larger holoprojector. Vurkar approached where Luxeria was and dropped to one knee, bowing his head as the holoimage of the imposing Darth Malvus appeared before the apprentice and son. Malvus's eyes would glance slightly behind them, as if sensing the battle around them or noticing the corpse of the Imperial Warlord in the background. Why he looked away was no matter for soon the Sith's eyes were upon the pair.
You have done well, my apprentice and my son. Solaris reported to me of your success when dealing with the traitors among my ranks... I can tell you that the rest have been dealt with upon Eriadu. There have been some changes in plans, and effectively, I wish to withdraw you from the battles of Alzoc III and allow Solaris to continue his closing operations.
Malvus had much work to be done; not only with other ambitions, but also the continued training of his apprentice. His son was well-enough on his own, but in these uncertain times for the Sith, the Sith Lord knew he needed two good swords in order to ensure his ambitions were met. The Sith went silent for a moment before glancing over at Luxeria, his eyes bearing down upon her.
Apprentice, when you return, speak with me in the library... you have been given vital experience in order to advance your training.

Luxeria watched as the projector came to life and Malvus appeared. While she did not fall to a knee as Vurkar did, she did give a bow of her head. Despite the smaller action, the look in her eyes was enough proof to the respect and reverence of the power that lay before her. She noticed his attention direct itself behind them, no doubt, in her mind, looking to see the corpse that lay lifeless in the corner. She said nothing as he spoke, the words spoken clear enough that no question or response was needed. When they returned, he'd give them further orders. When he finally looked to her and spoke on furthering her training, she gave another bow of her head. "Yes, master."

Vurkar watches the holoimage of his father fade away before glancing around the room.
No point in staying here... I suspect Solaris has transportation arranged for us somewhere.
The Sith re-attaches his long-handled lightsaber to his back before spitting on the dead Moff's face. Vurkar then begins to walk away, passing by the carnage created by the pair as they left for the nearest exit and to link up with friendly forces. Even as they walked, the Sith could sense the battling that continued to rage above and below them. The central leadership was down, but stragglers seemed stubborn enough to hold on and continue to fight. His mind wondering what his father wanted to speak with them about.
