A single Star Destroyer warps in over the once mighty center of human growth. Smoothly, it begins to move downwards while transmitting clearance codes. A vessel this size will have a lot of paper work to go over and forms to fill.

A tenuous argument breaks out over the nature of the visit. Considering half of the ship's roster was made up of citizens from Eriadu, it was heating up quite nicely. Threats began to form up, and with every political smack, another paper had to e-signed and sent to the proper authorities.

Hours later, and much to the dismay of the troop detachment aboard, agreements for a formal talk with the local collection of oldmen and women, or government, are placed in place. There would be no human upon human bloodshed until serial numbers could be written, and weapons were checked to see if they were in compliance with galactic war law.
Nukes were okay, but that kidney busting machine gun shotgun might be considered over kill.

Talks have stalled, widows are kept waiting, and 80 percent of the average citizens do not notice, despite the local news making a big scene over the possible invaders from outer space.
In the dark and cigar laced rooms, an offer of substantial wealth has come to the attention of the leading noble families on Eraidu. This, of course, for a chance to meet and speak with who does what on the surface.

Progress, real and tangible progress. A number of shuttles are dispatched from the SD and they race each other down to see who could have a more turbulent landing, or was it to see who would make past that cloud layer first? Semantics.

In a somewhat surprising turn of events the resident foreign (possible paradox aside) Star Destroyer decides to suddenly make a beeline planetside. Its speed is frighteningly fast, but also in grievous excess of legal limit for a vessel of that size. Since the ship was a retrofitted war vessel, a war vessel made a modern war vessel, the defense systems of Eraidu activate. The main problem is that the families have neglected to up the defense systems -since there was no really large empire to come and sack. Embezzlement of the military budget left a sort of cheap approach, which naturally harbored resentment with the war hawks in the planet's forces.
So when outdated turboblaster and other AS platforms bounce pitifully off the war vessel's shield, the threat of invasion suddenly seem far closer to home.

As the weeks pass by and Eraidu looks as smoggy from space as ever, updates are made to the defense systems. All of this is naturally paid for with the almighty credit of citizen taxpayer, amongst other colorful means of resource procurement.

As the Theta class shuttle rippled out of hyperspace, the Hellion II drifted onwards towards the inner orbit of the planet. Bringing the shuttle to a slow crawl and eventual stop, he drifted his hand over the interface and dialed in the channel and encryption protocol needed for the transmission. Diux then waited for the signal to connect and sent out his message to the
Eriadu Control, this is Lord Diux. I am of the Empire and am requesting clearance and vectors to land in the capital. As well, I would like to have Governor Seitz informed that upon my arrival I will require a meeting to discuss the plans for Eriadu.
Then just as quickly the transmission ended and he sat, awaiting the response from the planetary control station.

ATC was still in the process of receiving new orders declaring that all vessels of the Empire were to be granted instant clearance and even covering fire from any chasing or attacking belligerents that should appear in the area of operations. Unfortunately a number of miscommunications between different branches and jurisdictions had caused there to be a significant delay in granted clearance. Eventually the needed permission is granted to the vessel, along with information packets containing details on the current situations occurring downstairs.

After having received the OK signal from the control, and having his transponder code permanently added to the 'cleared' list in the database, he let his hands dance over the interface once again, terminating with a push forward on the thrusters lever and sat back to enjoy the view as his ship came in to glide down into lower orbit.

A number of frigates and other, smaller, vessels warp into space over the planet. These were different from the usual commercial and recreational traffic that choked the traffic lines with crippling gridlock during certain hours of the rotational period. Instead, this mixed collection of ships moves to a staging area reserved for military operations.
Go here without the proper clearance and it was sure a great way to commit suicide at the state's expense.

Executive Order Donnerstag wasn't issued by the commander in parentis, but that didn't make the concept anymore questionable. The Imperial Garrison still had not arrived, and so the rallied troops and new recruits dawddled and waited.
Due to the nature of risk associated with the collecting of manpower in one sector all planetary defenses and available ships in system adopt the highest alert status possible without open hostilities.
Imagine the sheer amount of gritting teeth and taut jaws.

Out of hyperspace came a Helot-class Medium Transport. Valstrol immediately turns on the ID codes, signifying it was a ship aligned with the Galactic Empire. The Sith reaches over, keeping an open frequency comlink to the planet's security and leader.
This is Draco hailing Eriadu Security on all frequencies. I am Valstrol Horica, paying a personal visit to the planet of Eriadu. My business involves a family matter that I wish to settle. I hope the one who is called Major, who I have heard rules this planet, will allow me to conduct my business.

In the mist of this all on board Helot-class Medium Transport with Valstrol in the shadow of the seat next to him, was a figured that had been fading away for years. Some how hang onto something deep with in her. Bria opening her eyes to look upon the planet only to have it stir something with in her that had been keep at bay for many many years.
Once dull present was now over flowing with that of another type. It wasn't as if Bria was control her action as if she had been condition when they had pop out of hyperspace. Swirling of the darkness that came from one so much of balance would let those around know of it being a defense or was it to hide the fact of who she truly keeping clenching to that last spring of life that she so treasured. At the same time came flooding back into her mind, images of those that once rule that planet below.
All she could do was try and shut down what emotions that was flowing out like that of lava the heat coming from her body with her breathing quicker. Closing herself down as much as she could looking over at Valtrol for moment they away. It wasn't right for one to see her like this at this state of mind. It had been bottle up all this time, not using her warrior inside had cause this just seeing this planet. It held nothing but memeiors that she would let go never let them come back to the front of her mind. Keep them in a lock box.
It only brought a shiver of upon her as if there was something or even present that seem to be keeping and eye or even to watch to see what was happening to the one that always knew what to say when or to server, those in power, even those at the time it was out of the love she had for Raven. Now that being gone what was left, what could hold this back any more then taking root.
This planet holds lots of darkness that needs to be buried and forgotten.

There was the main tower which handled the the most important of traffic, and took records of these important traffickings. Then there were the backup towers apart of Air Traffic Control, and when a comms officer with a sense of humor heard mention of the phrase: Major, he chuckled to himself and transferred the request to a controller-slash-friend who was nicely intoxicated, since he did just recover from a bachelor party. Of note in phrasing here is that the lower tiered officer wasn't hungover, he was still in the throes of drunkeness -which was an important distinction. Know, he knew what everybody was thinking: he was a high functioning alcoholic.
Lt. Jr. Gr. Duchess certainly was. He most certainly was.
::Say again, Draco? You are asking for a Major? Which one, Draco Pilot? I am currently drawing up a list of majors serving in the area, and the results search is clocking in at around 300. You have any specifics of the major you are seeking? Maybe a sex? Height? Weight? Name? If you looking for the governor, General Seitz has reported being on station planetside::
::Craft Draco, you are not listed as an Imperial war vessel, and thus you have been classified as a civilian transport for the time being. Please hold while we confirm your ID tags in the database registry. Thank you for your patience::
Upwards of an hour passes.
::Thank you for holding, Draco Pilot. The Governor would like to speak with you regarding your mission. Failure to comply with the request will be noted and recorded, for our sentient being resource department. WARNING: threat level orange is in effect. Insurgent activity continues to be a risk in city sectors J-6 through M-9 with Republic and independent system sympathizers. General advisory is that all travelers should remain armed at all times and on alert. When in doubt, seek friendly Reichstag troops and police, which have been assigned to protect and aide noncombatants. Tower out::

Valstrol sighs deeply, he had not gotten the name of the female Major when they had met on Bastion. No matter, he would still have to follow Imperial protocol just as his master, Lord Mendacious, had taught him. Once the clearance was given, the transport began its descent. The mind of the Sith recalling years ago when he visited this planet for various reasons; family, to tick off Cygnus, to but the brat Adolph in his place or to learn from his former master, Mendacious.

Three TIE Defenders entered from a hyperspace lane, and at once engaged their twin Ion engines. Their Ion cannons and tractor beams had been refitted with sensors instead, and they seemed to speed towards the closest Hyperspace lane, while gathering immense amounts of data. They lacked IFF signals,

Imagine the sheer accounts of coffee and tea spitted out simultaneously across the various detection and sensory posts at the sight of undeclared, unidentified flyers within the area of operations. These chaps were on high alert to scan and find any threat, though subduing probes that didn't dote in the sector would most likely prove impossible. It took only seconds for the listening posts to pick up highly sensitive scans probing for information -seconds that were all too precious.
What could the scouting party extract from such a brief glimpse? A great number of Imperial ships stationed in the area, allocated in a covering formation that denoted entrenchment above the planet's surface. Further scrutiny could determine exactly what size force, but from the radar outlines at least one Star Destroyer and a number of frigates were present. Unfortunately, the ships had been in play here for a while, so any intercepted communications would prove useless, especially since most were already awash in urgent exchanges about the rogue craft themselves. The massive amount of civilian chatter helped further confound this, but such was to be expected from venturing into a high density planet such as Eraidu; thus, a great deal of scanning would be overloaded by the gratuitous amount of "white noise" floating about.
In about twenty seconds the spies would be bombarded by communiques urging them to engage their friend or foe tags and declare their intentions by ATC. Should the remote scanning continue at the minute mark, then jammers would come into play and render any more information gathering null -to the best of its ability. At the two minute mark the various planetary defenses and warships in the area would have a targeting vector and about five seconds after that they would open fire. Still, besides these difficult circumstances some element of advantage was held by the recon party -so long as they managed to exploit it.

At full speed, the three tangos reached their first destination, the closest possible hyperspace lane entrance. One deviated from said flock, turning to fly on the line of said Hyperspace lane, but did not jump, just started calculating for a jump and heated up the hyperdrive. The other two continued to the next closest hyperspace lane, streaming their scanner data to the deviated fighter, gaining more and more information above that wretched white noise.
Funny thing is... they used NOE military encodings and communication channels.
Keeping far away from the enemy ships, the small fighters deemed themselves rather safe from most kinds of fire but homing missiles, and those too would need time to arrive. None the less, sensor jamming set in, and things got harder. Now came the skill of the human, yes human pilots. It was maybe not well known, but at least well known in the Strike Force Nemesis Triton that Seleevan Khar enjoyed Vor pilots. It was not a case of racial bias, more like logic. Humans needed to learn how to fly. Vors were born with such a skill. Then why, oh why have humans in a touchy mission like this?
The remaining two closest to the defences now turned on their cameras, shooting pictures instead of ion bolts or tractor beams. High powered and focussed cameras started to document the acts of the Eriadu defences froma far.
One more question. Why not drones? Drones can be found, drones can be disabled, disassembled, and identified. Drones were a trace His Holyness did not want to leave.
