The communications officer onboard the Equinox, orbiting Eriadu, intercepted the transmission and sent an acknowledgment to Eriadu Flight Control. This was done so that flight control personnel would drop the handling of the message and allow the Equinox to investigate.
=Captain Odom= This is Captain Odom of the Eriaduan Security Force vessel Equinox, Lord Tarkin is temporarily unavailable. I was not made aware of your arrival, perhaps if you could shed some light on as to why a Valorum wishes to speak to Lord Tarkin I would understand and send word of your intentions. In the meantime, hold your position.
Not long after the reply was sent the Equinox, a relic of the Old Republic; a Hammerhead Class Cruiser glided up and behind the small shuttle. As old as the Equinox was, the vessel compared to a small shuttle could become an intimidating sight.

I'm afraid additional details are strictly confidential between myself and Lord Tarkin."
The co-pilot noticed a Hammerhead-class Cruiser slowly approach a shuttle from behind and drew everybody's attention to it.
*A 315m bulk of metal equipped with weapons of war, and all it represents is their fear and insecurity.*
"Trust me, it's not necessary to send in an additional ship. We're carrying no weapons nor malicious intent. And we do need to refuel in short order, if you'd be so kind as to let us land in Eriadu City."

The Equinox's senior tactical officer presented Captain Odom with a data pad reading the scan results from the shuttle. With the transmission open the captain reviewed the data intentionally drawing the situation out until more intel was retrieved about Senator Valorum on Taris. Just as things were becoming rude the captain responds.
=Captain Odom= Senator Valorum, I would never presume to tell you how to do your job, so I ask that you please do not tell me how to do my job. If I feel as though another vessel is necessary then I shall order another, with or without your input. Since you are a senator I will assume you hold some modicum of intelligence. It would be foolish of you to become aggressive seeing as this system is heavily defended. You must understand my apprehension in this matter, you have come without notice and are seeking to meet with a very influential person here on Eriadu... you also happen to be a member of the long defunct House Valorum. I have relayed your request to Lord Tarkin on the surface. He has accepted your request for a meeting and has extended his hospitality onboard the Equinox. We will transmit our docking procedures momentarily, once docked our engineers will see to your shuttle's needs and a security check will be conducted; all personal weapons must remain onboard. Violation of this will be held with severely.
Docking data is transmitted to Fabian Valorum's shuttle, it indicates to dock at the vessel's only docking bay.

The shuttle's pilot entered in the data transmitted by Orbital Control, and the ship steered towards the Equinox's docking bay. Once the ship landed, the pilot sent a message to the Equinox's crew, telling them that the ship was ready for inspection.

While the shuttle maneuvered into the shuttle bay, Captain Odom left the bridge to meet the newly arrived guests. After a short journey from the bridge to the shuttle bay Captain Odom entered the shuttle bay with a small contingent of security officers. The captain, a middle aged man, was a veteran officer who has served Lord Tarkin since he was a young man. Odom was only recently promoted to captain, but that only demonstrated his skill; although he was new to the position none could tell. Odom approached the shuttle's loading ramp and greeted the Senator...
=Captain Odom= Senator Valorum, Lord Tarkin has not arrived yet... I will show you to the conference room. Our engineers will see to your ship.
No words were spoken from the shuttle bay to the conference room down the corridor. The security officers waited outside the room while Captain Odom and the senator met one on one.
=Captain Odom= You are welcome to be seated, Lord Tarkin way be awhile... care for a drink?

Fabian complied with the Captain. When he was offered a drink, he replied:
"Yes, of course, anything you can serve."
*Patience is a virtue, but useless things aren't. I don't have patience for useless things.*
"Now, Captain, is it possible if you could tell me when Lord Tarkin will be arriving? I don't wish to pressure you or the Moff, but it's a deeply urgent - and private - matter, and I must get back to Taris in short order as well."

Before Senator had the chance to finish is last sentence Zuka entered the conference room. Zuka had, in fact, already been onboard and had finished his meeting with his cousin hours ago. Zuka intentionally did not inform the captain so that he could have time to meditate alone and reflect. He swiftly made his way towards Senator Valorum and sat down across from him.
Although I wear imperial attire I do not hold the title of Grand Moff any longer...But, I have been considering bringing the title back to Eriadu... perhaps when I run for the civilian government leadership I will reinstate my old title.Turning to Captain Odom... You may leave us, I will join you on the bridge later.Looking to Fabian...So, Senator... what can I do for you?
Captain Odom exits the room, but the two security officers remain at their posts outside...

Fabian leaned over to whisper into Zuka's ear to ensure that no audio phones could record his words.
"First, I ask that you make this meeting completely confidential and disable all security cameras, recordings or any possible evidence of this conversation. What I'm about to propose to you will benefit us both greatly - and your chances of success in running for government leadership will dramatically increase - but knowledge of it can never be leaked to the public. There can be no evidence of this conversation. You must agree with that condition before we proceed."
Fabian leaned back, allowing Zuka to contemplate his offer.

Zuka hadn't intended to record their meeting, but now... now he felt compelled to. Zuka rose from his seat and made his way to a small side table and on it sat a remote control that controlled the conference room's lighting, audio system and cameras. They were all inactive, except for the lighting. With a click the cameras and sound systems were activated, but to the Senator it gave the appearance that Zuka was deactivating them.
Alright... you have my attention. Now out with it Valorum. I am a busy man.
It was highly unlikely that whatever the senator had to say Zuka would reveal unless a dire circumstance arose. Zuka had no use for blackmail, if he wanted someone removed then he would order an orbital strike upon there location and be done with it. Zuka commanded an elite task force, politics was beneath him.

Alright... you have my attention. Now out with it Valorum. I am a busy man. "Aren't we all?" *He doesn't trust me. Whatever he was doing with the controls, I couldn't see, but I can assume - he might've even enhanced them to make sure he does have evidence of this conversation. But this conversation can't be revealed without negative consequences for both of us.*
"I have learned that a group of Tarisian spies have made it to Eriadu to gather secret information about you. They are led by one of among my own Senate, I'm ashamed to say, who is plotting your assassination for his own ends. I'm afraid I cannot present my evidence to my superiors, because they were obtained... well, illegitimately. For the same reason, I cannot leak this information without damaging my own reputation. The only solution I could find is coming to you. I know where the spies are hiding right now. I can give you their coordinates. What you eventually do with them is your business, but for now, I request that you have them all arrested, lay the appropriate charges, and wait. I will contact you again with a further deal. This will benefit both of us, but you must agree to follow my plan - at least for the early stages. I'm afraid further information must be withheld for now. Do I have your agreement to follow my plan?"

Zuka closed his eyes and began to peer into Valorum's mind, searching for the truth. The senator was no imbecile, his mind was well organized and guarded...too guarded. Zuka did not bother to probe Fabian's mind further, nothing would come of it.
Senator Valorum, it is highly unlikely that I have enemies on Taris. Even when my cousin ruled that world I hardly had dealings there, if anything my family brought unparalleled security and prosperity to your world. You have a well organized and well guarded mind... like a fortress. I wonder what plots and schemes lay hidden within you. I understand you, you and I are not so different.... I am just more direct than you. Public opinion does not matter to me like it does to you. Speak true to me! There are no Tarisian spies, you sit here and lie to my face, telling me there was nothing you could do and that this group snuck one past you? Ha! I reject your "deal".
Zuka reclined slightly in his chair and added...
BUT... I'll give you a counter offer... in exchange for my own conditions. I'll play along with your game, in exchange I want your loyalty. No more lies and deceit between us. If you need something ask outright and I will do the same. What do you say to that?

As the Equinox patrols the local system a message from Admiral Tarkin comes through. Captain Odom immediately makes his way off the bridge and heads for the turbo lift. After a short ascent to the upper most deck. The captain enters a passcode that only he and a handful of senior officers know. The upper most deck of the Equinox for the past decade has been given to Admiral Tarkin's protégé, Coinin. Coinin used to wander the whole ship and interact with the crew, that is until Lord Tarkin discovered Coinin's sensitivity to the force. Since that day Lord Tarkin has personally overseen Coinin's training in the force.
The turbo lift doors give of their usual swishing noise as they slide open. Captain Odom steps out from the lift and walks around the open area of the deck. Lord Tarkin had the entire deck transformed into a tropical rainforest environment, this was done so that Coinin could shape shift into various trees and rocks, the environment was also done to remind him of Lao'Mon his native home.
Captain Odom called out to Coinin...
=Captain Odom= Coinin! Lord Tarkin is contacting you via the holo transceiver! It appears urgent...

=Captain Odom=Coinin! Lord Tarkin is contacting you via the holo transceiver! It appears urgent...
Captain Odom's call echoed throughout the entire upper deck making all the holographic creatures go silent and flee. And, suddenly through the rustling of branches and breaking of twigs Coinin appears.
Coinin stretches out his hand to Captain Odom to greet and answer his call....
=Coinin= Hello, Captain. May I see the transceiver?

Captain Odum nods slightly and removes a small modular device from his uniform pocket. He then places the device on the floor and activates the transceiver. The image of Zuka appears before both men...
Captain, you may remain in the room. Zuka clears his throat, then begins. Coinin, my son, the time has come. The next stage of your training and apprenticeship will begin. I will transmit all relevant data on our newest objective at the conclusion of our communication. My agents on Taris have informed me that the time has come to bring the world into the direct protection of the First Order. My work in this region has the Tarisian Senate fearful that their world and way of life is in jeopardy. In their fear, they are seeking peace with the Order in the form of a trade deal. My agents inform me that the Tarisians have selected an undesirable senator to lead their negotiations. The data I will transmit will inform you that this senator, Senator Dunn, has been bought by a Tarisian gang called the Hidden Beks. I will require absolute proof of this relationship. You are to travel to Taris ahead of my official arrival and deliver to me proof that the Hidden Beks have bought off Senator Dunn and any of his allies in the senate. You will deliver your evidence to Senator Poole, he will in turn ensure the material is put to use. You are authorized to use any means necessary to obtain the needed material... but your actions must not be traceable...period...discretion is always preferred. Once Senator Poole has his delivery, you will proceed to your next objective, which Senator Poole will brief you on when you rendezvous with him. I must also inform you... The Imperial Hand... Lord Thrakk Valinor will be present. Under no circumstances shall you make yourself known to him. He is...unstable... He will be conducting his own operation that will support our overall goal. Zuka's holo image looks to Captain Odom... The Equinox cannot participate in this operation, you will remain in the Eriadu System. You will, however, provide Coinin with a unnoticeable star ship so that he may get to Taris unnoticed. Have I made myself clear?
Data on the Taris operation is transmitted to Coinin's personal computer console located in his quarters.

=Coinin= I shall find out if the Hidden Beks have bought off the Senator and report to Senator Poole. His attention then switches to Captain Odom. What ship do you have in mind?

Zuka's holo image fades away and Captain Odom bends down to retrieve the transceiver on the floor. Straightening himself Captain Odom responds...
=Captain Odom= A day ago the Equinox intercepted a smuggler in the system...the small crew were tried and executed. Their ship is in the main hangar bay now. It is an older Firespray-31 Class vessel. It's in well enough condition to get you to Taris. Odom begins to make his way to the turbo lift. If you need equipment...well you know where to find them...Good luck, friend.
Captain Odom enters the lift and begins to return to the bridge.

Coinin bids Captain Odom Farwell and then heads over to the computer to do research on the Hidden Beks and Senator Dunn to see what he is up against. After doing research Coinin heads to the main hangar bay to see if the Firespray-31 passed inspection and then prepare to be sent off to Taris.
Coinin enters the Firespray and flicks the switches to turn the ship on. After setting the coordinates Coinin leaves entering hyper space.

It made been some time since Luxeria had left Eriadu in search of forming her own lightsaber. She had left on her own, determined that not only was it up to her to get what was needed, the journey and experience that came with finding everything would only strengthen her, and as such, be reflected in her newest blade. It had been a few months but she had done what was needed and was finally heading back.
The ship flew through the realm of hyperspace on autopilot as Luxeria meditated in her room. By now, everything had been done. The crystals had been tuned, the time taken between stops and in the time she spent resting before heading out again. She also took the time to have the pieces crafted and shaped as they needed to be so that all that was left now was putting them all together. For the hours spent heading back to Eriadu, she focused herself entirely on the lightsaber, connecting the electronics attaching everything to the chassis. Slowly each part came together as she blended herself with the saber, making it truly part of her. Starting the process was certainly more difficult, trying to sort out how to tune the crystals, but she eventually got it and now it was rather easy.
Finally, the pieces came together and the saber became locked together in a solid form. Letting it settle into her hands, she stood to her feet and activated the blade, watching as it came to life before her. She moved it about a bit and she watched it, making sure everything was set. Satisfied, she turned it off and placed it on her belt. It was at this time when the alarms went off that she was approaching Eriadu.
Moving to the cockpit, she put the ship in manual as she took her seat and exited hyperspace. As the streaks of light faded, she looked out to see the world before her. She couldn't help but crack a smile before opening a channel and transmitted her identification code. While it would normally be enough, she knew she had been gone for a few months without the slightest form of contact. So she hailed the fleet.
::Eriadu control, this is the Mirax. I'm making my approach for the Estate. Please inform Lord Malvus I have returned.:: Without another world, she pressed the ship on, heading passed the fleet and into the planet's atmosphere.

*The Nune-class shuttle dropped from hyperspace over orbit of Eriadu. This was the world Sobrius had felt so drawn to, and now that he saw the world, he was certain this was where Bogan had been leading him. But what could possibly be so interesting to him on this world? There was only one way to find out, of course, and it seemed there would be no contesting his entry from the meager defenses of the planet. So the Sith merely invited himself onward, down to the planet's surface, following the Force's direction...*
