*Gavin stopped his motions and moved in front of Luxeria, motioning for her to keep at it. He stood there for a moment, just watching, seeing how well she was gathering the exercise's purpose.* "For now, I want you to just work on shifting your body, but as you progress and get better, there are things I want you to do. First, I want you to start making movements as if you were attacking and blocking, thus learning how to best shift you body while actually in combat. From there, have someone attack you so give you some force to push back on you. The other is to raise yourself up. What I mean by this is instead of doing it on flat ground, stand on something that begins to take away from the ground you stand on until you can hold your balance a something that is only big enough to reside directly under you feet. Also, be sure to switch the stance you hold. Instead of looking straight from your right shoulder, turn your body so your left foot is forward. And if it is possible, try and find some water and a boat. If you stand on the front while doing this, you'll add a new challenge"

Luxeria continued to move around and shift her body. A couple times she felt her feet come off the ground while trying to hold her balance. This forced her to jolt herself back in order to get her feet planted back on solid ground. The more she moved, the more she saw how easy it could be to loose one's balance. The constant rocking and swaying disrupted her equilibrium more and more as it wasn't able to center itself. At times, she had to lessen her motions just to stabilize herself.
When he spoke of the more advanced exercises that she needed to progress to, she wondered how one could handle that. From what she was doing, it seemed impossible. But it wasn't, that was for certain. With Makashi being focused on balance and the movements skilled fighters could achieve, it only seemed difficult as she was just beginning. All she could do was keep on with the exercises in between her regular training.

*Gavin continued to watch for a few more minutes before finally stopping her. She had a solid basis for how to keep her balance when moving so actively, and for the most part, would be what she needed to use the Makashi form well. But if she continued to work at everything, she'd be hard to take down, even when in positions that would seem easy to throw her off balance.*
"Alright, let's move on to another exercise. This one is for your stepping method. We won't spend much time on it, but I'll give you a grasp of what to do." *He took the stance he said for Form II then began to move back and forth, sometimes simply stepping and crossing his legs as he went, other times he shuffled his feet, letting them meet, but never cross. After a couple movements, he began to walk around her, his steps following similar methods.* "Another important part of Makashi is how you step. Not only does this affect your balance, but in this and any form, you can learn how best to navigate yourself when in battle. It's not as simple to simply walk as you would any other time. Knowing where and how to step can be the difference between victory and defeat. If you step wrong either front or back or left or right, you can put your entire body in an awkward position that an enemy can exploit. If caught in these positions, you can faced many complications, whether it be a weak block or the inability to block and leaving yourself wide open."
*Stepping back in front of Luxeria, he placed his left hand on his waist.* "As with the balancing exercise, there are more advanced things you can add to it to make it better. Navigating yourself on thin beams and actually having someone fight you will increase what you can do. Now go through those motions a bit. See if you can grasp what works best."

It did not take long for Malvus to find his apprentice as well as Gavin. The doors to the room they were training in opened suddenly as the Sith walked in. The conversation with his daughter's companion, Makhai, had been productive. Better yet, word from Thyferra had revealed that Vossarn, one of the Sith's Acolytes, had fulfilled his mission and brought the planet in alignment with the One Sith. Plans were being drawn for possible expansion throughout the Western Outer Rim. For now though, the Sith Lord decided to continue his training with his apprentice. The Sith had been unable to teach his apprentice much and finally was free enough to do so. Yet when he walked in, Malvus remained silent as Gavin spoke and watched from a distance as to what he was teaching Luxeria.

Luxeria watched for a moment to see what Gavin was doing before finally doing so herself. At first, she couldn't see what the big deal about this exercise was, just as she had about the last. While not as difficult, she did notice that there was a particular method that needed to be used in order to keep oneself balanced properly. When she stepped back and let her legs crossed, she noticed that it worked better if she let her body twist a bit in the direction her foot was stepping. It allowed her body to keep the body stable.
She discovered the same when she began to move around in a circle. As Gavin had told her, it helped to understand where and how to step, but even more, how the body responded accordingly. She was starting to see that the whole body had to work together to get the most out of it. Even if the form used fancier footwork, she had to keep her body in tune with the movements or end up in a bad position.

*Gavin watched as she began working her way through the steps. Despite what someone thought on it, the steps involved with the Makashi form could trip someone up if they were not careful. And from what he could see, she was catching on quickly. Luxeria was much older, which allowed for a mind that better understood, but due to her desire to grow and learn, it also open so it didn't have to be broken down to help her see things better. It was a problem with those that started too late in any kind of training. The thoughts and imagination required was often absent. It was definitely a reason why order tried to find new initiates in the early years.
As Luxeria went on, Gavin continued the lesson.* "As with many other things there is much more to learn around the forms of combat. You are learning the steps and rules of balance but there is so much more. Luckily, you have caught on to the basic movements of Shii-Cho, and implementing them with these steps along with the concept of thrusts and light cuts, you have a good foundation to grow on. As a form I used extensively in my early years with the Jedi, I crafted the form to follow other patterns. One pattern is to keep your attacks quick and close. If you attack with quick short bursts, you will lack any strength to do serious damage, but it is possible to force an opponent to stay on defense, especially if they follow a form with greater strength. In such they will typically use attacks with a wider swing to build momentum. Keeping your attacks close can potentially remove that as they will have to keep moving and have a hard time building up their strength. However, if engaged with another practitioner of Makashi, or even the form of Soresu, which uses tight movements as a defensive form, this method becomes more difficult to use. And if a strength based user, such as one of Form V, they can easily push you, wearing out your energy and breaking through your attacks and blocks."
*Gavin didn't turn his head, but knew Malvus had finally made his way outside and was watching them. It was obvious that the meeting had ended and he was ready to beginning training her again.* "One final thing I want to add. It is not as important as what I've told you thus far, but there are two forms of lightsabers that are best suited for this style of combat. The curved lightsaber hilt, which should be self explanatory in how its designed, and the light foil. The light foil is a lightsaber whose hilt is smaller and thinner than the standard. Both of these allow for a better grip and have better balance, though using the grip I showed you works just as well. For now though, my part is done. Malvus has finished his business so it is time for you to return to him."
*He turned from Luxeria, but stopped, looking back over his shoulder.* "When you learn, don't just watch and repeat. Take in the movements, the knowledge, the flow and adapt it to you and your needs. In this, the form will find its greatest capabilities when it works in conjunction with your body and mind." *With that little piece of information passed on, he moved toward Malvus, giving him a bow when he was close.* "I hope you do not mind diverting Luxeria was the task you have given. I believe giving her first hand experience in learning was more effective than simply watching some holos while one was available to help her."

My Lord, is there anything else you wish me to pass along to our companions? Malvus calmly looked from Makhai to Tyrana. Out of fatherly affection, the Sith gently touched the shoulder of his daughter, feeling at ease to know she was alright and looked after. After a long moment of silence, the Sith Lord would begin to move away from the two, pausing at the doorway that led out into the vacant hallway. There is nothing else to say now. You both are welcomed to enjoy the comforts of the Estate for as long as you wish. I must return to my apprentice and oversee her training for now. Tyrana, I ask that you behave while you are on Eriadu. Otherwise, we will catch up later.Without another word, the Sith departed the room and headed off to find his apprentice. Ty smiled after her father as he left, laughing and calling after him I always behave! It's others that get me in trouble! She turned to see Makhai walking out too and stood still a moment, bouncing slightly on the balls her her feet and tapping her hands against her sides. She looked to the other side of the room, and watched Vallen for a split second before walking over to him. She slipped her hand in and then out of her pocket and then pressed it into Vallen's. Ty smiled at him and released his hand, leaving a small private communicator in it. We need to catch up, Brother. I have to go, but I'll be back soon. Turning towards the door, and making her way to the ship, she stretched out her awareness to her father I am leaving for now Papa, Makhai and I have more adventures to go on, but i'll be back to visit as soon as I drop him off somewhere. Tell Gavin I'll see him when I come back! Ooh! And tell your charming apprentice I look forward to spending time with her Running a hand through her hair, Ty climbed up the platform onto the ship, looking at Makhai with an impatient look Eager to leave? Is my family boring you? She grinned and plopped down in the seat next to him and huffs a sigh Let's go, then, I'll come back after we return to Big Brother

Luxeria stopped her motions when she felt Malvus come outside and begin watching them. It wasn't out of surprise or shame that she was learning from another. He had said that she could come to him and seek advice from him, and though Gavin was the one to give her this bit of training, she welcomed it. But seeing that he had come out here meant that his business was done with his adopted daughter and it was time to return to her lessons with him.
She didn't move though, listening intently upon the words Gavin spoke. It sounded as if he was offering her knowledge of his own approach, not necessarily one that was directly associated with Makashi. It was a curious thought, the idea of making quick strikes that remained close to her opponent. In theory, it made sense. However, his words were clear enough that it was merely suggestive and that while it can work, it didn't mean it always would. Still, it was something to look into. And as he spoke of the different lightsaber designs best use with the form, she took in the information, but let it settle to the back of her mind for later. She felt all the knowledge was important, though some held priority over others. What really grabbed her attention was the last words he spoke. It seemed to stand out the most, as if the most important lesson of everything he had instructed her on thus far. Thinking on it, Malvus even said the same thing when he wanted her to watch the holos and visual her own stance. It was important to make this style something that fit her, not her to it.
Snapping herself out of thought, she walked towards Gavin and Malvus, though she said nothing at the moment, simply extinguishing the training saber in her hand.

Malvus moves away from his observation place and approaches his apprentice and Gavin. The Sith showed no disapproval in his emotions, in fact, there was nothing felt from him presently. His eyes linger upon Luxeria for a moment longer before turning to face Gavin.I thank you for tending to my apprentice while I was busy. Now that I am here, though, I wish to take over her training.Malvus would glance back at the doorway he came through, remembering what Tyrana had said.Tyrana is just about to leave, she mentioned that you should visit her sometime, Gavin. Although, I don't know where she is currently located, but I suspect it isn't too far away. You are welcomed to stay as long as you want though. You are an old friend and will be treated as an honored guest.

*Makhai glanced down the ramp as Lady Tyrana stepped up on to the platform and onto the YT Freighter.*
Not boring, just wanting to make sure I can leave with all of my limbs in tact.
*Makhai remarked only to her. He knew she would take joy in his situations upon the planet, but he tried not to let that bother him. There were a great many things that still needed to be done and something was amiss in the force and he could not put his finger upon it.*
We should be underway soon, is your business concluded?
*Just as he was met with her statement and sliding into the Navigator's seat.*
Set course for Lianna then. We need to rendezvous with the first portion of a new fleet there.
*Makhai remarked as he raised the ramp and put the ship into flight inspection. Normall he would have known his own ship's condition but this was Ver'metus freighter and no telling how good of care the old Anzati truly kept of it, especially with as old and care free as he was. No sense in taking risks. Makhai did a full systems check and diagnostics, followed by the ship lifting up and heading out into the atmosphere away from Eriadu City.*
My father fought both against and with several of those here on Eriadu and I am unsure of how they will take such news of his demise and my existance. I shall leave that decision and information to Lords Stormro and Phantom.
*Makhai remarked as he tried to make conversation.*

*Gavin nodded to Malvus.* "Of course. She is all yours. And I thank you for allowing me to remain here. Until I can fully adapt Luxeria to the memories I've given her and be certain she has control of them, I will remain and work with her on them."
*He then turned to Luxeria. She indeed showed potential and a desire to be here. Whether she had the desire to follow the plans Malvus had in mind or simply for the training was an unknown, but her simple dedication was enough for him to want to grant her further knowledge as time progressed. In the end, she'd be a force to be reckoned with just on her own. He pointed down to the training saber in her hand.* "Hang onto that for now. It is what we'll use during any session we may have and you never know when it may come in handy otherwise." *With that, he gave Malvus a bow a stepped to the side. He was curious to see her training from the outside and decided to stick around for now.*

Snapping herself out of thought, she walked towards Gavin and Malvus, though she said nothing at the moment, simply extinguishing the training saber in her hand. The Sith Lord's attention changed back to Luxeria as Gavin moved away. He recalled what Gavin was teaching her before, but knew that, in the end, the apprentice needed to follow her master's instructions and not someone else's. Sure she was more than welcomed to ask Gavin for advice, but the training procedure still needed to be her master's way. He glances to the left where a panel opens in the wall, revealing a MagnaGuard, similar to before, with a training vibrosword in hand. The panel closes once the droid walks through and to the training area. Malvus decides on a review session before continuing Luxeria's training.Form II, a true asset to any Force User's arsenal as it is the most basic, yet most common form of lightsaber dueling. Remember the two maneuvers that are involved with the Way of Ysalamiri; contentious opportunity and Makashi riposte. The former is based around recognizing and exploiting any weakness within the stance of your opponent and swiftly striking the exposed foe, while the latter is design to alter the angle of the opponent's attack before quickly retaliating. For starters, show me the contentious opportunity.

A holo-droid entered the training room and subtly approached Lord Malvus from behind. The droid makes a loud beeping noise before powering up its holo projector. The blue light beam then projected the image of Zuka, in his old Imperial Grand Moff uniform, this time the uniform was all white, not that anyone could tell on the receiving end of the transmission. "Lord Val...er...Malvus, Maedhros and I are over Sullust aboard the Equinox. I have chosen the Bulwark III Class Battle Cruiser as my new flagship, which should be arriving to Eriadu soon for troop and missile armament. I wish to extend my gratitude to you for allowing me access to your shipyards here. Once the vessel has completed armament Maedhros and I will be available to you. I await your order....er... requests. Perhaps your intel network has picked up a cell of lesser Sith that require disintegration?"Zuka did wasn't a fan of taking order from family, but Malvus was the exception, Zuka owed him much and aiding Malvus in whatever way he could was fine with him. Zuka awaited a reply.

The former is based around recognizing and exploiting any weakness within the stance of your opponent and swiftly striking the exposed foe, while the latter is design to alter the angle of the opponent's attack before quickly retaliating. For starters, show me the contentious opportunity. Luxeria simply nodded as Gavin told her to hold onto it for whatever reason. In training sessions, it would prove useful over the real thing, just in case something went wrong. When he stepped aside and let Malvus take over, she began to think that its use would only be during times with Gavin. She started to remove her own saber and placed the training saber in its place, but noticed that the Magnaguard that appeared had a saber a bit different from the one she was training with prior in the training room. This one was very similar to the training sabers Andor had her use on their way to Thule. Reigniting the training saber, the blue blade came to life as her eyes glanced over at the panel in the wall.
It was a strange thought, at first, that there would conveniently be such a panel outside of the estate. But as she thought on it more, it did make sense in terms of defense. If an enemy attacked, stores of droids and control panels would be located throughout the estate if any needed to be called up. She then gazed up at the blue sky, the sun making her squint a bit. She also wondered why they didn't return to the training rooms, but guessed it didn't matter where they trained. And with it came another thought. Why summon a new droid when the one Malvus had sent with her was standing but a few feet away. Her gaze then drifted back towards Gavin's ship, glad to see that in approaching her master, they had created some distance. Under Gavin's guidance, it wouldn't have mattered, knowing he would have prevented any damage to his ship. But with things returning to the droid in the spar she had been involved with prior, it was better, mainly to give her open room to maneuver.
Her attention was quickly redirected to Malvus, though her movements were slow and her gaze became focused on the droid again. She listened to his words. It was, in essence, nothing more than a review of what he had already taught her. But with what Gavin had added, she felt she had a far better grasp on what to do. She let her body turn a bit towards the droid, her right shoulder facing it. Her saber rested easily within her hand, her grip adjusted from a standard one. As it approached, her mind zipped through what Gavin had told her, the concept of balance and stepping. Immediately, her knees gave just slightly, breaking her from a solid stance. She felt her body relax a little as she took a breath, letting her body shift ever so slightly.
As the droid got close, she made the first move, shuffling forward by pushing with her left foot and keeping her right just above the ground to let her move, but close enough to come down and stop her or brace her depending on how the situation progressed. Remembering the form was based upon light cuts and thrusts, along with Gavin's mention of staying close to the body, she brought her saber up. At first it moved it front of her as if to make a thrust, but quickly and swiftly twirled in a small "O" that made a light strike at the droid's left elbow. The droid, having the time just before the spar began, was able to build up enough momentum to block and push against her saber and brought it around to strike at her left side, which was mainly her chest with her stance. Having touched the ground in her first attack, she used her right foot to push back, though she didn't step, but merely leaned back on her left foot and let her left shoulder move behind her just slightly. With that movement, she brought her blade up to her chest, following a straight path, making it get there before the droid's. But instead of blocking, she remembered the economy of motion and using the opponent's movements. With this, her blade pointed diagonally to the ground and pushed downwards, removing some of the force and allowing her to return to the offensive. With this, she leaned back towards the droid as her blade moved up and back down in an overhead strike. The droid blocked in a basic overhead strike. Utilizing the method already against Gavin, she quickly pulled back a bit and moved down to make a quick strike at its right leg, then up back up to make a quick strike at its right side waist. She let it push through, being light enough to easily move passed the droid's blade in its block to come across and easily move into a thrust.
The droid, simply moved its blade to the other side, brushed Luxeria's saber to the side. Letting its blade come around, it returned to the offensive in its own over head strike. Luxeria brought her saber up, gripping it with both hands to take the stronger attack, unable to find the path the let it flow by. She didn't expect it would always be capable of happening, especially with her skill. She also knew that at this point, seeing a flaw in the opponent's stance was very difficult, much less exploiting it. For now, she had to find an opening in between strikes, that moment when she could strike and move faster than the opponent could respond. Such a feat was best found when the opponent was stunned from a sudden break or faced with a much greater force than they anticipated. As with the stance, finding an opening was still difficult, of only more in execution than observation. That left her really only one option. She had to create it. She knew she could as she had twice with Gavin. His words made her believe that, while he wasn't trying, he didn't make openings for her but that she created them and acted upon them. It was what she'd do now.
She let herself give a little as the attack pressed on her overhead. She held there for a minute as she focused her strength into her legs and arms, first pushing herself forward and closer to the droid, forcing the droid's blade to become more vertical than horizontal. Ensuring that it was still flat enough she could push on it, she pushed up with her strength to force their blades to break apart. As she sought to do, she saw the droid take shaky step back to regain its balance, its hand still in the air. With a slight twirl to change direction, her blade came back down, hitting the wrists of both hands on the droid. The impact was enough to cause its hands to shake before dropping its sword and taking a couple steps back.
Taking a deep breath, she let her blade rest at her side as she turned to face her master, waiting to hear his response.

*Gavin watched in silence as Luxeria moved on to sparring with the Magnaguard. His eyes were focused upon her, watching her movements, seeking to see how she would the knowledge given to her thus far by Malvus and himself. Just in this he saw a difference in the methods of their training. Malvus was having her face a droid while he himself preferred direct interaction, meaning sparring himself. Each had their pros and cons for no training method was ever perfect to cover every aspect.
As he watched, he noticed how she took her stance, letting her body relax. That was good. Being a form of grace and balance, being stiff was counterproductive in its usage. It would allow her to shift and move more easily. She certainly caught on quick. From her movement in her steps to utilizing the basic understand of the forms attacks and blocks, she showed that she would be a very capable warrior in time. What caused him to smirk was the finish when she created her opening against the droid. Twice had she gained an opening and by now, she had realized that in battle, most openings were made, not simply seen. This was something she didn't learn from, and as far as he could tell, was a mindset she established on her own. Her ability to understand and adapt was being put to great use in her. He knew that they all needed to be careful for with those bits along with her desire, she could take them all in time.*

The holo-droid had managed to catch Malvus shortly before he departed to check on Luxeria. He notices the image of Zuka, dressed in his old Imperial attire, something that Cygnus would surely approve of or perhaps scold just the same. The Sith listens attentively to his cousin, speaking plainly in regards to any situations that needed his attention. For now, cousin, train your soldiers and ensure that the Bulwark's crew is ready for anything. As of right now, we are in still in a rebuilding moment, yet I do have my eyes on some future targets, not just Sith, but in terms of adding their resources to our own. Remain over Sullust, Eriadu or Alzoc III, the choice is yours.Taking a deep breath, she let her blade rest at her side as she turned to face her master, waiting to hear his response. Malvus eyed his apprentice attentively, not even moving a muscle nor batting an eye in the slightest as she performed Form II. He noticed her stance had changed and Luxeria seemed to comprehend Makashi more so than before. Most likely Gavin's doing, but no matter, it did not bother the Sith Lord in the slightest. He examined her postured and movements quietly, taking note of the changes and where she needed improvement, but nonetheless, Luxeria was showing capability in Makashi. Form II would be the best lightsaber combat style that would aid his apprentice in her path towards becoming a true Sith. Even as she finished her maneuver, the Sith Lord already knew that her knowledge of Makashi would come in handy soon enough. Most impressive, Luxeria. Your form has improved immensely and I can only say that if you continue to practice the way you just showed seconds ago, you will master the form without any delay. Makashi will ensure you live and know the proper means to defend yourself against another lightsaber wielder. The Sith beckons for his apprentice to follow, desiring to return inside in order to practice further. He did not wish others to see Luxeria's force-wielding. Makashi would be the defensive part of his apprentice's strategy, now she needed to be able to utilize the Force while being engaged with her one-handed lightsaber technique. Force lightning was the last thing that the Sith wanted Eriadu to witness. He walks down the hallway with Luxeria and Gavin, if he followed them, making his way towards a more extensive training facility. Now that you understand how to wield a lightsaber one-handed, you must begin to learn how to utilize the Force at the same time. Lightsaber combat, as you know, is a dance of blades and the Force. As you deflect a blade to the side, your palm should open, pushing your opponent away to give you room or striking them with a vicious Force Lightning strike. They are your lifeblood and the means to your victory, Luxeria.

Zuka released a sigh... He hated not doing anything and then being limited."Cousin, Captain Remus is overseeing the training and armament of my new warship. While that is being done I have begun training our young cousin Maedhros. He wishes to learn of Sith Magic, as his master I will be taking him to Korriban... I will keep the Equinox over Sullust and keep my forces at the ready." Zuka intentionally cut the transmission before his cousin could object about him going to Korriban.

Luxeria turned to fully face Malvus when he began to speak. He truly felt that she would master the form much more quickly than one would expect. She would have to ensure she continued to practice in her free time when not training to develop more efficiently. While her capability to understand made a vast difference in her progress, she had both her master and Gavin to thank for where she now stood. True enough that Gavin broke down the form a little more and gave her some exercises to help improve her stepping method and balance, it only reinforced that which Malvus had already started. If anything, Gavin only covered the extra bits of stance and grip before Malvus only because of the interruptions. She saw the value of Gavin's aid in times when her own master would become busy with other things, as she knew he had many plans before her arrival and didn't set them aside just to train her. Based off what little time she had with Gavin, she saw that his lessons were more basic understanding to help her along so she could better grasp the things the Sith had for her.
The screech of her saber sounded as it retracted back into the hilt. From there, she followed Malvus back inside, listening to what he had next in mind for her. Her mind thought on his words, letting them settle there. The idea in what he spoke was quite clear. While finding an opening in an opponent's stance was a bit difficult due to being able to get inside their defense and react faster than them, striking with the Force with either a Force Push or Force Lightning seemed like a far easier technique. Doing so would only need her hand to be free to unleash her attack. Along with that, she could manage it at any point. But as she played possible scenarios in her mind, something struck her. It was a flaw, so to speak. Though she saw it this way, she wished to verify her thoughts to see if it was merely her missing something or the truth.
"I understand. But using such powers in conjunction with my lightsaber could prove dangerous could it not? Unless the enemy is weak or I do not let up in my assault until they are incapacitated, using the Force often would make my enemy aware of how I attack and make them more capable of avoiding or countering my abilities?"
