Well that did not take long, he applauded the youth on taking this gift. It was a stroke of luck and far better than having to go through a trial. He will need the help thats for sure, he was heading into unknown territory.
Should we leave then Gor?
Although he had never been behind bars we was willing to bet that this was going to be up there as one of the best moments in the young boys life. Going from rotting in jail for years to a relatively free man would be sweeter than any food.
The longer we are together the faster this will be over and you will be truly free.
Unlike the Jedi of old the Jensaarai were not afraid of attachments to the living world. It would be silly to only live for the future when the present was happening now. You had to live for something. Train for something. Love something.
Would you like to see your sister if we can track her down?

Gor paused taking everything in, he felt something, there was something about this moment he was certain of it.
There was indeed no reason to remain here any longer, besides to fulfill the agreement he was contracted to he had to fulfil its mandate and that meant staying with Zed, so if Zed was deciding to leave, Gor had no choice. Naturally Zed was aware of this, yet was giving him the choice. Gor wondered where this journey would take him and was pleased that Zed offered him the chance to say goodbye to his sister, he wasn't sure if she would wish to see him, but he couldn't leave without having tried.
"I am, and I would like to say my goodbye."
Gor wasn't sure about Zed's other statement, or at least how to answer it. There seemed an indeterminate amount in some ways, although it was only fifteen years, that was a long time, a long time to stay in Zed's custody.
Gor followed Zed out of the cell and the complex, meanwhile Narta watched them leave then dialed in the number on the secure comlink.
::Yes, yes he took the deal, they didn't suspect a thing, no, but arrangements can be made to deal with her, of course. It will be done.::

This was a totally different experience than any Zed had before. Always the loner he was not used to responsibility. Yet here he was with this kid, connected to him for some unknown reason. As the duo walked outside he was immediately overwhelmed by the heat and the sun. There were few people outside right now, either because of the weather or the geopolitical climate of the planet the streets were not as busy as usual. Mainly droids walked to a fro, with the occasional sentient being. Looking down at Gor he felt a pit in his stomach, he did not know what it meant but it couldnt be good.
Seeing as you and I are together for the forseeable future Gor why don't we get to know each other?

Gor paused blinking for long periods and attempting to let his eyes get accustomed to the light having been inside darker surroundings. He then wiggled his fingers almost experimentally as though testing them for the first time as he seemed to bask in the surroundings of this natural environment. He breathed in then exhaled vigorously blowing away the cobwebs of recent affairs.
"That would be good, I feel in some ways you know more of me then I do of you."
This was no lie, Gor knew nothing of Zed and he knew and felt there was much more to him then casual obsrrverance revealed, what was more Zed intrigued Gor and so to did the abilities they shared and as of now Zed seemed to be the key to unlocking some of these unanswered questions.

Not saying anything for a few minutes Zed collected his thoughts before talking. The child had worked him into a corner, he had wanted to know more about Gor. Now he had to talk about himself.
I guess that is what happens when you are nearly two centuries old. You tend to see certain things common enough in most people, and I have spent a long time watching people from the side. My species, we aren't exactly loved by the galaxy as a whole.
Again there was some silence as he thought about the past ten years watching people, trying to just avoid everything.
I am part of an order that is slowly reforming out here in the Outer Rims. We are called the Jensaarai, we seek to learn the truth. I am actually the one who has started the reformation. Earlier in the prescient I had offered to teach you to control your powers and that offer still stands. The Jensaarai are all like me, and you. Force users. I wont force you into it but if you were to learn with us you may learn to find peace.
I have another question for you. Would you like to see your father one last time?

Gor nodded in understanding, he was sure Zed meant more than what he actually said, however even in a place as diverse as this universe beings were still judged and ostracised because of how they looked of what was associated with their species. Zed looked different and no doubt some held certain views about his distinctive appearance and made assumptions based upon it.
Then things became more interesting, it was clear Zed didn't at least yet want to talk about himself, he branched off on to talking about an order called Jen'saarai, the word even on Zeds tongue sounded foreign, almost like a hissed whisper. He explained that there was a grou, a group of brings like himself, all of them had these powers and Zed, Zed could help Gor understand them. Gor wanted to understand them, find a cure was what was forefront in his mind, he just didn't communicate that thought. Then just as suddenly as before Zed changed fact and Gor came to a mental as well as s physical halt. His brow furrowed as he was forced to face the pain and the inner turmoil, but he had decided.
"Yes, I would like to look upon him one last time."

Zed walked forward a few more steps before realizing his new ward had stopped at the question. He knew it would be a difficult thing to face. He knew from experience how Gor would regret it had he said no. Once, he had said that very thing and to this day he wished he had looked upon his grandfathers face one last time.
Turning around he faced him and was proud of the boys choice.
Whenever you are ready we can go find him.

The next few hours were passed by Gor getting into a speeder with Zed and making the way out of town to the outskirts where Gor lived, or used to live. Gor reflected how much had changed in the past day, the whole incident, the arrest the chance he had been given. To come back was like coming full circle. The morgue was kept on the outskirts, it wasn't deemed as a place most would wish to visit and the designers had clearly tried to keep it low profile.
The duo clambered out of the speeder, the dust kicked up around their feet from the repulsors. Gor hesitated in front of the building, it looked odd and awkward in this environment, it's clean farm greying white clean edges against the natural sandstone of the buildings in this sector. He exhaled deeply and then made his way inside, the droid on reception greeted them and Gor stated his request. The droid then led them to a room where there lay his Father. Gor looked down upon his lifeless form, that spark of life now gone, there was no feeling or attachment, before him was just flesh and bone. The attendees had done a good job with him. Gor could never say he was fond of him, but, even still, despite everything, he didn't have him, not completely.
"I pitty you, now you're gone to a place where you can't hurt anyone anymore. You got what you deserved."
It was short, but he was done here, there was nothing else left to be done or said. To look down at his tormentor and the tormentor of his half sister he couldn't say he felt remorseful from what had happened. In a strange way, justice had been served.
"I'm done here."
Gor turned and left, it was time to move forward.

Walking into the sterile environment he was hit by how much different it was to the outside. Obviously the people who wished to allow people a final visit to their family cared. It would give a good last memory. However Gor remembered this though he could not guess. Looking down at the body of the man that used to be his father he felt nothing for him. Any man who would do wrong by his children deserved this.
Walking out the morgue he walked up to Gor and nodded towards him.
Gor I need to talk to you about something when you are ready. We may need to leave here for a while and I would like you to come.
Although the statement was rather vague he did not want to push so much on his new ward to fast. Between killing his father and facing him one more time just moments ago he imagined that the emotions where raw. Their relationship was still new and he needed to try and build on that trust before forcing anything on the lad.

Geonosis Surface - 5 Kilometers East of Stalgasin Hive. Organization Planetary LZ.
Holding position several hundred meters above the sandy dunes of Geonosis' surface, the Arcturus-Class Cruisers, Athena and Apollo were covering the LZ on the planet's surface, as well as deploying soldiers to the ground. Cerberus had sent down at least a dozen squads as well as a handful of Mantis gunships. So far, everything was progressing as planned. And if the Geonosians had any issues with the Organization showing up here, they hadn't made their intentions known yet. Soon they'd be marching on Stalgasin Hive and taking over the capital. Hopefully with minimal bloodshed, but given the state of the galaxy these days, it was anyone's guess as to how things were going to play out here...

Gehenbar Hive.Rival to the ruling Stalgasin Hive, Gehenbar still reaped the rewards of allying with The Organization. While not as heavily defended as the capital, Gehenbar received V-200 Ion Cannon for defense against attackers, as well as significant ground soldiers to bolster the Hive's defenses and ensure it remained secure.Golbah Hive.Originally destroyed some time after the Clone Wars, The Organization rebuilt the previously destroyed Hive. Adding their own materials while still maintaining Geonosian architect, the Hive stood in stark contrast to the rusty sands around it. Because it was originally destroyed and the surviving members were amalgamated into Stalgasin Hive, Golbah Hive now served at The Organization's R & D labs on the surface. It too, was defended by a V-200 Ion Cannon.

Gehenbar Hive
Business as usual was the pace at Gehenbor Hive. Serving as the more industrial oriented Hive in comparison to Stalgasin, the native Geonosian businesses continued to produce their goods for the galaxy as well as The Organization.
Golbah Hive
Functioning as the main Organization R&D lab on the surface of Geonosis, several prototype products were tested here, as were advanced weaponry and new battle droid variants. Life continued on, as per usual, here.

The matalok set down on the surface a long distance from most Geonosian hives, the dust swirling around the new object in the winds path. Coralskippers slipped out and started patrolling, two squadrons splitting off into four ship teams to sweep out and map their targets for the hunt. It didn’t take much to do the mapping, the matalok as it came down from orbit had already designated target areas and structures, comparing them against known Geonosian Hives. The sentient inhabitants were in luck, they were still spared a Yuuzhan Vong invasion. The coralskippers flew towards large hive mounds, using the senses of their coralskippers to examine the occasional occupants. Those that could see the dull colored Geonosians marked their coordinates and turned away to their next objectives. The objectives that they were looking for, were Ur-greedles, non-sentient genetic cousins of the Geonosians. Red in color and six winged it made for easy identification. Ur-greedle hives that looked similar to Geonosian hives, at least on the outside, which was why a visual check was needed to assess who inhabited each hive. It wouldnt do to start a war by accident. The second reason for mapping Ur-greedle hives was simple. The large predatory creatures of the planet were far more likely to look to them for food rather than attack a Geonosian Hive with the ability to offer considerably more resistance.
Esthh watched the map grow with the senses of the matalok as coralskippers shared their information. Details filled in rapidly as the rocky fighters flew about. The predators that he was looking for weren’t small, far from it they were the largest predators on the planet. If the Geonosians wanted to complain about him removing a few of the creatures that threatened them, well then they could complain, though he suspected it might even be possible to get paid a bounty for such creatures. He considered again and thought it may be best if they didn’t know he was busy collecting dangerous predators, it might be unnerving if a biological based species were capturing giant powerful and terrifying super predators.
A coralskipper squad saw something that didn’t look right. It looked like a giant seed moving across the rocky windswept terrain. The ships swept over towards the thing and saw a small swarm of creatures flying around it. The pilots had been briefed on their targets and as they approached the creature and swarm matched one of their targets, a Merdeth with its accompanying Mips. Watching the creature and checking its trail, it seemed that it was headed for an ur-greedle hive, but it likely wouldnt get there for several days based on its speed. The coralskippers reported their find, and then continued on in their assigned scouting and mapping area.
Esthh sat back and considered the problem, now having visuals from the coralskippers of a live merdith and its accompanying mip swarm. The creature looked like a large half mollusk in shape, large and bulbous and heavily armored on top with a kind of fluid or ichor seeping out from underneath the armor edges. The creature moved about on hundreds of feet, tucked up tight against the armored body. Their armored heads had eight tentacles that seemed to grasp and probe at the ground around it, likely looking for food. The size of the beast was fantastic about 20 meters wide, and 15 high, but the length was nearly 50 meters. It was an impressive creature. He wasnt sure what he or his shapers might make of the things, but something that big could be used for something. If not it was an opportunity that was not to be wasted.
The mips were something different. Winged leathery worms was the best description that he could give them, about a meter and a half in length was his guess. There weren’t a lot of them, as far as insects went, probably a hundred and thirty or so, but would be something that had to be dealt with. It was his guess that the mips laid eggs on the armored creature and used it as a mobile nest and food source. Literature suggested that the mip helped the merdeth with defense and locating food, which made sense, why suffer a parasite if it did nothing to contribute for the survival of the host. He mused that the nets they had grown would be able to remove most of the threat, especially if they were coated with something that was sticky...perhaps blorash jelley...or even for the merdeth. Blorash Jelly solved so many problems. He ordered the shapers to start making large amounts of blorash jelly. He made a mental note to use blorash jelly infused nets on the ur-greedle survivors, it wouldnt do to let so many subjects escape, especially not a queen.
The next day coralskippers were sent out again to check on the advancement of the merdeth and confirming that the beast was basically on course the coralskippers were sent back to several of the ur-greedle hives and they began mapping. The coralskippers moved in ever increasing circles scanning for life and water, above and below the ground using their dovin basals to get density readings below the ground. The hope was to get an estimate of how much food and water the hive might need, and how many ur-greedles might be in a hive. Information that could prove crucial in the capturing or successful raid of a hive. Hunters were treated for pheromones so that they smelled like nothing, something that the Yuuzhan Vong had worked with before and dealt with on a daily basis, everything from smell accessed rooms to body biochemeical markers and codes. The hunters were then dropped off to infiltrate three of the local hives. The hunters slipped in, their suits making them not even shadows as they slipped inside to start recording. The recording biots capturing visuals, temperature, humidity, pheromones, chemicals in the air, light levels and sources. The hunters themselves took samples of the ground, rock walls, and droppings. Sonic creatures used sonar to help them map the hives inner network as they moved slowly into different chambers, deeper and deeper into the hives. The vong were familiar with many insect species, many different kinds of burrowing and mounding and nest builders, and so noted that the hive layout was not very different. The hive mound seemed to be oriented into the wind, with thicker walls and spine leading the way as a wind break. It also wasnt surprising to find that the majority of the nest was actually below ground, rather than in the built structures above, though those built up structures had quite a bit to do with channeling heat and cooling, air flow, and moisture recapture, not wanting to lose moisture to the arid landscape above. The hunters moved deeper now running into fungus farm chambers full of a myriad of growing food stuffs. The hunters took spore samples and carefully moved through and around the workers buzzing back and forth, carefully taking more samples, trusting their cloaks to keep them unnoticed. Moving deeper they started finding chambers filled with cocoons and grubs, nurseries buried deep in the hive, working their ways down into egg chambers, ever closer to the heart of the hive. The queen’s chambers. A hunter entered the queen chamber moving carefully so as not to get run over or run into by the business that was occurring there, drones running and flying in and out bringing food in and carrying eggs out. The hunter carefully crept up and took samples from the queen, and eggs that she was laying. All of this was building a database for comparison after full creature samples were to be taken. Finished with his sampling in the queens chamber the hunter returned to the egg nursery and used a biot to search for a new queen egg. It wasnt too difficult, just time consuming as there were hundreds of eggs to check. Usually one egg was different than the others. Most species of hive insects were mostly sterile females, with only a few males and a handful of queens or fertile females. Collecting samples carefully the hunters started heading back, their sample biots now full and their missions complete. It took a few hours to get back out of the hive and far enough away to get picked up without causing an alarm in the ur-greedle hives.
A squadron of coralskippers moved to one of the only water bodies relatively nearby, the Ebon Sea. Their target was not small, but it could prove difficult to find. They were looking for Geonosian Hydra’s. Massive multi headed insects with three or more heads, could likely fly, or at least had large vestigial wings. They were also massive predators and being such massive predators would prey on the most abundant prey on the planet. Ur-greedle and Geonosian hives. The coralskippers started their searches using density mapping, flying above the scum covered sea not far from ur-greedle hives, dropping small sonic fish into the water below to spread out and search using echolocation. The pilots didn’t expect to find anything on the first day, and if anything the commander intended to find many, if not many and eggs or young. Not a small task, and certainly not a healthy occupation. The use of their biots definitely helped, and making direct use of large biots like the matalok made it even easier. The trick was to find the massive beasts in the first place. A 40 or even a 100 meter long beast wasnt a match for a 1200 meter warship, but it wasnt always a sure thing. Warships were often grown, or built, to complete a specific mission, or a select number of missions, giant predator capturing tool usually wasnt one of them. The coralskippers quickly covered thousands of square kilometers, it really wasnt that much when concerning air travel, covering a hundred kilometers of linear distance with half a kilometer on either side took less than ten minutes, and with twelve of them searching, covering territory wasnt a problem. The issue was the mud at the bottom of the sea with rock underneath. The pilots considered that the exoskeletons of the beasts were too close in density to the mud or rock for the dovin basals to easily distinguish. The coralskippers could of course go under water, but that wouldnt do anything to help the dovin basals by getting them closer. The sonic fish however had a much better chance with their sonar getting different reflections off of mud vs rock or hard exoskeleton, they were however, slower. At the end of the day the sonic fish had located twenty-three possible contacts, with only one contact being interesting enough to be listed as a possible by the warriors tracking the fishes’ progress.
……………..
On the third day the merdeth drew close to the ur-greedle hive and Esthh watched from a blast boulder several kilometers away. It was like many insect swarm defenses that he had seen before. The non sentient ur-greedles swarmed out with soldiers as the bulbous beast assaulted the hive, slamming its head into an entryway, burying its head from harm and settled to the ground protecting its feet with its huge armored girth. The red flying insects were doing battle with the mips, the ur-greedle trying to kill the merdeth, the red insects nearly completely covering the massive beast, and the mip were frantically trying to rip them off, perhaps for as much reason of protecting their own eggs or simply as a defense instinct of protecting their nest.
Esthh watched the battle unfolding and ordered coralskippers up into the air with nets to circle on the far side of the fight, several kilometers away to be ready in case the ur-greedles tried to evacuate eggs or young queens. He couldn’t see what was going on in the hive, but he guessed it must not have been going well for the ur-greedles considering the increasing tempo of action. The merdeth backed up and turned moving ponderously and moving to another entrance, again ramming its head into the hole and settling to the ground, crushing the ur-greedle soldiers that tried to attack its undersides when it was walking. The destruction continued for some time, several hours as the merdeth slowly circled the hive, with fewer and fewer ur-greedles coming out to defend their hive and Ethh put his warriors on notice to be prepared to enter the hive. He also ordered more coralskippers to be ready with the blorash jelly infused nets, and blast boulders with containers of blorash jelly. Unless he missed his guess the merdeth would likely move off and then stop and rest to digest such a large meal. The ur-greedle nest, would have essentially exhausted its defensive abilities, and considering that the damage that the merdeth was now doing, slamming into the hive, crushing parts of it to allow deeper access into the hive. It took another two hours for things to break. It happened all at once. The number of soldiers had dwindled to almost nothing and the merdeth crushed into a larger cavern, allowing it deeper access, and moments later it seemed like a veritable cloud of red ur-greedle workers flooded out carrying white grubs and white eggs. They didn’t scatter like many insect species, being not sentient but not completely stupid. It seemed that they had decided to abandon their queen in favor of the hive surviving, and were now streaming in a swarm away from the doomed hive. He ordered the coralskippers with nets to begin their sweeps.
The coralskippers moved in with their large sweeping nets, moving in at angles from behind the swarm, capturing dozens of adults with each sweep, and their precious eggs or grubs. Esthh waited for a few more minutes until the stream of workers. Coralskippers continued to make passes quickly, like birds of prey swooping in on a hatching of edible prey species. Hundreds were captured within a few passes, and by the time the nets of two squadrons were full there were thousands stuck to the nets. The last squadron zipped in around the merdeth, doing the same to the mip who defended it. A blast boulder moved into position to make a bombing run with several of the large containers full of blorash jelly prepared by the shapers. After a second pass of the six pairs of coralskippers cleaning away mips the blast boulder moved in, making its run. It turned aside as it dropped the containers, falling end over end to break on contact and splash over, under, and around the merdeth. Precision wasnt so important as simply plastering the area and making sure that the blorash jelly was delivered where it was needed, the creatures legs and mouth, and in the quantities needed. The blorash jelly quickly moved to start binding the creatures hundreds of legs. The goo rapidly started binding, capturing angry mip in the process all across its armored back.
At the matalok, transports full of warriors lifted off and sped for the hive, with the matalok lifting off and following behind. The transports landed and started disgorging their warriors and chazrach who rushed into the hive, no subtlety was needed now as the troops surged in, killing whatever resistance the bugs offered. The merdeth roared in protest its legs being unable to move, but could do nothing about it as it had wedged its way into the hive. This had never been a problem for the creature before, and so it had never entertained the concept. The beast was even more upset when warriors approached the surprisingly long mouth tentacles from inside the hive and started tossing blorash jelly into the reach of the flailing things that were already grasping and thrashing in anger and futility. It didn’t take long for the blroash jelly to bind its mouth tentacles together and the blorash jelly connecting its legs to themselves. The warriors moved quickly to the queen’s chambers, the enlarged creatures size ensured that it would never be able to escape the hive. There was a final defense put up by a few workers who hadn’t fled and died quickly to chazrach coufees.
The blast boulder carrying Esthh came and landed as the last of the mip and ur-greedle were subdued or disposed of. The coralskippers returned and laid their nets of captured specimens out on the ground near the matalok as it settled down and the blast boulders moved in unison to pull the merdeth from its hole, the creature roaring again in protest. The shapers quickly got to work, quickly taking samples, hundreds...thousands, quickly directing warriors and chazrach to move the more vulnerable eggs and grubs into the matalok where they could be protected from the harsh environment. Other shapers were busy with the mip and other others the merdeth. The large beast proved so well armored that the blast boulders were used to flip the creature open for dissection. It took the rest of the day to sort and sample and take specimens to Esthh and the shapers satisfaction. Eggs, including three queen eggs were put into stasis along with adult specimens and the remains of soldiers, and the queen.
……….
The next day full interest was turned to finding a hydra, or several. The sonic fish had time to cover much more ground, so to speak, and found what the monitoring warriors believed was four of the creatures. The matalok hovered over the water and waited as a pair of coralskippers headed into the water and tugged at the creature, pestering the creature into action, moving towards the shallows. Waiting until the hydra started to emerge from the algae muck, the matalok launched its capture tentacles at the creature in an ambush. The creature had never met something larger than it, save a merdeth once, but there was less food to share around the Ebon Sea. The multi headed creature roared as it was seized and yanked out of the water, its three heads reaching and snapping, scrabbling at the offending tentacles. The roar of the creature was impressive and the snapping mouths were not to be underestimated, one of them marring one of the arrest tentacles. A blast boulder quickly delivered blorash jelly to the struggling creature and the semi-sentient jelly quickly went to work, slowing the creatures movements quickly. The creatures violent thrashings were finally halted and its mouths finally secured. The matalok settled the creature onto the ground and warriors selectively started applying arsensalts to break up the blorash jelly from certain places, allowing the matalok to stretch the creature out, the legs and wings, and each head secured and pinned in place. The shapers took samples from the creature and implanted gnulliths over the creatures three heads, starting a vacuum transport pod to growing around the creature after it’s limbs were tucked down with each limb in its proper resting position, and stasis jelly starting to fill the sack. Esthh left a squadron of coralskippers and a contingent of guards to watch the creature as they went to get another.
The second and third creatures were captured in a similar fashion, the forth put up a greater struggle, owing to it being larger than the others and the matalok not getting a good grip on enough limbs to start with. One arrest tentacle was bitten through and the blorash jelly took longer to take its hold. By the end of the day however Esthh was pleased to see the four great beasts laying side by side as the transport cells grew about them. It was determined that the largest one was a female, and had a number of immature eggs inside, but that was for another time.
The next morning as the sun rose, the matalok rose with it, its four vacuum cells and sleeping cargo with it. Climbing into vacuum.

"Only death awaits those that dare defy you, Fabricator General!" Shrieked Arachnus with venom in his synthetic voice and simulated rage flowing through his circuits, causing the treadspeeders tracks to rev and leave black marks on the otherwise pristine deck. The front of the bike lifted as the spider-bike accelerated towards the rust-red embrace of the Genosian landscape as the Felstorm entered the upper reaches of the planet's atmosphere. Electrical current danced off the forge blackened bike and its winged rider as the two struck the energized barrier of the hangar and launched towards the surface. From the comfortable climate controlled hangar they plunged into the frigid skies, joined on either side by HMP gunships carrying their feral mechanical brethren to battle and glory, soon warming the further they fell towards the radiation baked Genosian desert."Now this is podracing!" Over eager droid gunners sent a volley of modified hex missiles scattering ahead of them to guide their path, leaking insecticide fumes from cracked casings that shrouded their approach. Golbah Hive - Continued from OrbitValefor had wondered just how exactly Arachnus and Beelzebub had intended to get him down to the surface, given he could not exactly survive in the void of space just yet. But as the Felstorm dropped down into the atmosphere and the Treadspeeder took off across the hangar bay and out of the energy shield maintaining the atmosphere within and travelled down the side of the Pyramid, dodging gun emplacements before launching into a free fall. Valefor held on for as long as he dared, before letting go of the handlebars as he spread his wings. The wind catching him and slowing his descent whilst Booster jets upon Arachnus' bike form kicked in to slow his own descent to a safe landing.
But the Mechanised Arachnid was already taking off toward the valley as the Gunships dropped down and delivered the Hellriders, whilst hex missiles continued to fill the air against the defenders. Valefor kept his descent going, adjusting his path as he fell lower and lower before landing upon the Treadspeeder in motion and holding on once more. The mouth of the valley passed them by, whilst the first of the Geonosian Armour came into view up ahead. The Hellriders around let out mechanical cheers and shouts as they lowered their lancesFOR THE ETERNAL!

Currently configured into bike-mode, the Professor's treads briefly swerved as Valefor's girthsome weight landed in the saddle, churning up the rough terrain beneath its growling tracks. As the HMP Gunships dropped the last of the Hellriders off, they let loose with a symphony of streaking missiles, emptying their racks to completion as they unleashed hell at the mouth of the gorge. As explosions ripped across the narrow chasm leading to the face of the Genosian Hive, rust brown metallic snails emerged from expanding clouds of smoke and fire, wreathed in flame but otherwise unaffected by it. These were Genosian Super Tanks, a rare breed of war machine that hadn't seen use since the invasion of this world during the outset of the Clone Wars. These armoured beetles numbered four wide and ran nearly the length of the gorge, emerging from a shielded vehicle garage at the base of the hive. The saucer shaped HMP gunships soon found the skies shared with streaking crimson bolts of hot laser fire, quickly succumbing to the lethal energy rain and exploding overhead.Arachnus swerved right and left, dodging flaming droid debris falling in their path. The other Hellriders fell into a wedge shaped formation with the Legionis Hastae in Valefor's unbreakable grip serving as the spear point for their charge. The droid riders were appropriately named, for this was the truest sort of hell they were streaking into at 200 kilometers per hour, a veritable kill-zone as the enemy armour moved to meet them. The only advantage they had was their speed and guts of steel. In the distance behind them at the top of a ridge cresting the far end of the valley opposite the gorge, three C-9979 landing craft filled the skies, two coming in to land atop the ridge, the other in the valley just below where it immediately began assembling a mobile command centre. The two landing craft above discharged artillery teams of HAGs and J-1 semi-autonomous proton cannons. By the time the Hellriders entered the gorge, titanic cracks of thunder echoed across the valley at the artillery began to open up, closing the way behind the lancers as they entered the gorge with unrelenting destructive ordnance that collapsed tunnels and cause tectonic tremors for miles.A wall of destruction behind them, the only way to go was forward. Arachnus fed everything he had into his engines, spewing thick plumes of black exhaust from his backside as he propelled Valefor towards the first armoured caterpillar in their path. With thick plated armour that was additionally ray-shielded, these slow moving tanks were near indestructible when faced with modern weaponry. But a brave enough droid with a power lance that could get in close enough to penetrate their shields could punch a hole in that armour, ripping it open and possibly setting off the reactive ordnance stored inside its protective shell. "Fire and Steel! That is the Forge Master's promise!" Shrieked the Professor, plunging towards the tank.

Valefor grunted as the Super Tanks emerged into view within the valley. He'd expected resistance in the form of tanks or walkers, maybe some artillery pieces. It seemed like the Golbah Hive was not one to mess around. Thankfully Arachnus was doing an astounding job of swerving in and out of the incoming debris and laser fire as the Hellriders formed up behind them. In a straight fight, the Legionis Hastae would be useless against the Super Tanks shielding and armour. However, this was not a straight fight. During the travel from Orax to Geonosis he'd been busy instructing Solari in a special ability which would come in useful here.
Shifting his armour back, he thrust the spear forward again, causing several strands of lightning to erupt forth from the Crystal spear tip and cut a path through the air toward the closest Super Tank. The Dark Side energy turned physical struck upon the ray-shield and rippled across its surface, grounding at several points. The light display went on for several moments before the shields could sustain the shock no more and abruptly died. One of the Hellriders sped in fast and close, thrusting the tip of its power lance into what appeared to be the thinnest point in the armour

The IG Lancer: reminiscent of the days of ancient feudal kingdoms where armoured knights of great nobilities charged into battle atop galloping steeds, eyes locked through the slit openings of iron war-helms as they rode down infantry, armed with sharpened lengths of iron tipped wood. In the Hellriders case their living breathing mounts had been replaced with exhaust belching treadspeeders that left tracks in the radiation baked Geonosian landscape. The Lancers long conical heads ended in crested plumes of coarse crimson dyed hair harvested from slave-meat bound for the foundries, who lice infested scalps were frankly better off without it, blowing behind the riders in the face of the barbed rocket troopers riding bitch behind them. Instead of wooden lances, these nightmaric droid knights wielded fire blackened power lances produced by the Dark Forge, etched in mysterious black-script that glowed a sinister red in anticipation of the carnage to come.Glowing first furious orange, the lance's cone-like tip grew blistering white as it heated to an incredible temperature, functioning like a fast-acting cutting torch as it parted the metal of the Super Tanks armoured hide like wet parchment. A chorus of grating metallic shrieks echoed throughout the narrow armour strewn chasm as power lances punched steaming holes in dirt brown hulls, causing mass-reactions within the armoured units as the ordnance inside began to go off in a series of loud explosive pops. Explosions rippled throughout the gorge behind the streaking lancers, scattering metal shrapnel and armour plating across the hot alien sands of the bug world.Behind the curtain of proton shells and razor hail that blanketed the front of the gorge from the artillery teams on the ridge at the far end of the valley, the tall thick plated walls of a SE CIS mobile command center were erected, raising the first of many secure outposts and landing zones as the invasion commenced in earnest. In the empty stretch of terrain between the recently raised base and the gorge mouth, an army of ant droids in faded red paint transformed the valley surface into a veritable no-mans land, replete with deep trenches lined with coils of razor-wire and concealed blaster cannon positions. Despite the ceaseless fire from the artillery positions, a few Super Tanks escorted by fast rolling IG-227 Hailfire-class droid tanks made it through the storm of overlapping explosive shells, only to have the mechanical guts blown out of them by anti-vehicles mines scattered across the no-mans land. The massive gates to the command centre swung inwards to omit marching columns of mechanical infantry, as feral B1 battle droids painted in Fabricator General's faded red, poured into the trenches. Blaster emplacements opened up across the valley.Meanwhile... "We're almost there, Forge Master!" Screeched the Professor over the rumble and roar of his growling treads, currently defying gravity as the spider-bike streaked across the gorge wall rather than on the ground, allowing Valefor to make full use of the Legionis Hastae as bolts of Force Lightning leapt from its blood red crystalline tip.FFFFFFFFSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! CRACK! Another shield fizzled out as science gave ground to sorcery. The assault cannon barrels at the front of the bike snarled as Arachnus spat super-heated plasma rounds into a sonic cannon emplacement positioned on the gorge wall, blasting it to scrap before riding through the debris cloud as smoking bits peppered Valefor's leathery red flesh, no more an irritant to the darkside charged Demon than stinging nettles. There was a brief sensation of weightlessness as the spider-bike leapt from the gorge wall back down to the dusty dirt, as they neared the Geonosian Hive's battlements. Just as the tactical droids had surmised, the Golbah Hive was pitted with blaster emplacements. Crimson lances of deadly energy leapt from the vengeful mouths of swiveling turrets, racing towards them as Arachnus tried to turn and ended up drifting across the gorge."Incoming! Look out!"

As they progressed down through the valley, Arachnus powering through by what ever methods he thought best whilst Valefor held on tight, the resistance they met was not perhaps quite as intense as he had been concerned. Not that overcoming the Super Tanks had been any small task, but it seemed like one of those false victories. Something which proved relatively true as they arrived to the far end of the gorge and were faced with the Golbah Hive and the multitude of lasers poking out from it. As the laser fire barrage was launched, Valefor struck the butt of the Hastae into the ground to assist with Arachnus' efforts to stop and turn. Simultaneously, he let go of the handle bars with his left hand and held it up toward the incoming fire. He began muttering a spell of protection which managed to create a small bubble of protection around them.
The Stone of Dromund Kaas glowed as the energy from several of the bolts was consumed and added to the supply of power going to the shield. Around them, the ground was scorched and pitted by the impacts, with a couple of the Hellriders falling victim to the barrage when they could not stop or turn around in time. He held the barrier as Arachnus managed to come to a stop and get going again, hauling both their bulks as fast as possible out of firing range, at which point Valefor dropped the shield and gave the bike a pat A little too close for comfort, but we survived. Good work.

Inwardly the Professor's program cursed in binaric frustration for allowing his over eagerness to spill Geonosian blood to have placed them in this deadly predicament. According to his calculations, there would be no avoiding the lethal barrage of hot laser, hatefully lashing towards them from the spitting barrels of countless emplacements across the Golbah Hive battlements, as time seemed to slow before their encroaching death. Yet instead of being reduced to ash and rendered to atoms, those scalding lances struck a shimmering kine-shield, erected by Valefor's savvy combat acumen and sorcerous ability. The Force barrier blunted and deflected the incoming bolts as the spider-bike's treads tore up the rocky terrain as it drifted across the open gorge, aiding in turning thanks to the Red Sage's planted spear, which allowed Arachnus to once more get traction and accelerate away from the ruinous hive defenses.
The spider-bike's engine growled in response to the Fabricator General's praise. His assault cannon barrels spat two bolts of hot plasma that punched holes in the carapace of a Genosian warrior attempting to climb free of a burning Super Tank, boiling the bugs innards to scalding insect stew. "All thanks to your tactical genius, Forge Master." A cloud of rust and dirt obscured their retreat as the Professor carried them well beyond the reach of the emplacements, then came to stop.
Trundling through the gorge towards them were reinforcements from the raised mobile command centre. Multi-Troop Transports in faded red pushed into the gorge, smashing aside exploded derelict Super Tanks like mobile battering rams as they pushed forwards, escorted on either side by Armoured Assault Tanks. Flaming wrecks were unceremoniously crushed under tread as the Legios Cybernetica's armour units advanced on the hive. Arachnus' plethora of crimson photo-receptors winked as the academically inclined assassin droid received a tactical update from Commander Beelzebub. According to the super tactical droid coordinating their assault from the Felstorm, their artillery was already being moved into position and bombardment of the Golbah Hive could soon begin in earnest. Thunder sounded in the distance as the first of the HAGs began to open up.
As Valefor climbed out of the saddle, Arachnus disengaged from the spider-bikes droid socket and crawled on eight razor tipped digits to lurk at the Fabricator General's side. Proton shells detonated against stone battlements, erupting in flaming blasts that buried the entrance to the vehicle garage at its base in a shower of shattered rock. Then the AATs opened up and things really got messy. The Professor looked up at Valefor's winged form, as much in awe of demonic figure as the day he first rolled out of the Dark Forge.
"Nothing like the smell of napalm in the morning, Master." Not that Arachnus actually had a nose to enjoy it.

As Arachnus furthered their retreat, Valefor stabbed at a few wayward Geonosians as they tried to attack from the side, their souls being consumed by Solari. A couple others he caught with his left hand and sucked the life force from them to feed the Kaas Stone. As they came to a stop once more, he dismounted the bike and watched as the transports and tanks rolled down the gorge. They'd had a successful landing and initial strike. But there was no guarantee their progress thus far would continue upon the same trajectory. Victory was assured, of that much he was certain, it was just all a matter of how fast or slow it would be achieved.
He turned his focus toward the Hive then, watching as their artillery opened fired and buried the enemies vehicles beneath a layer of rock and stone. The Golbah Hive was fortified and undoubtedly built to withstand quite the siege. However, once they managed to create a crack in that exterior, the battle droids could pour in and burn it all from the inside out. Once the guns were silenced, it would be much easier to assault the Hive itself. A task for which Valefor started making preparations as he stood on the overlook. With the butt of the Legios Hastae he started to mark out several runes and a spell circle It is a refreshing scent upon the breeze... Ensure we try and keep alive as many prisoners as possible, I'm going to need some fuel...
