The Tiernvael Mountains were a mountain range overlooking the Meditative Canyon on the planet Ambria in the Inner Rim.

The Zovu-class Fast Cruiser breached the atmosphere of Ambria high above the Tiernvael Mountains. The Chromium finished armour plating reflected the light of Amber back as the Fast Cruiser descended toward the surface and touched down just beyond the defences. The Jedi Lords had marched an army through here and sent the Dark Jedi packing, but that didn't mean everything was suddenly fine and dandy. With its former occupants evicted, the Tiernvael Temple stood ownerless but still potentially dangerous.
As the Zovu-class touched down and the landing ramp lowered, Rhiannon descended from the vessel first, followed soon after by Sylina and Leo. The trio made quite the sight, not just because they all bore Jedi Katanas. But rather because all three were wearing eye coverings and two of them were near identical twins.
But despite the eye coverings, Rhiannon had no issues with surveying the scene before her. The mountains rose up on their right side, whilst far ahead stood the former home of the Dark Jedi. Which, at present, did not seem to indicate any signs of life. Resting her left hand upon the hilt of her blade, Rhiannon motioned for Sylina and Leo to follow as she stepped off the ramp and started to trek across the rocks Be careful and watch your footing. It has been many long years since this place has been a home for the Light. Stick close and keep your blades at the ready...

Ambria's history with the Darkside was extensive. From the construction of an obelisk by a Sith Sorceress and devastation of life on the planet, to its use as a Shipyard during the Great Hyperspace War, to Darth Bane training Darth Zannah to be the next Dark Lord of the Sith, and even more recently its use by the Dark Jedi Order as a home. Master Thon, many thousands of years ago, tried to contain the Darkness here. But ultimately such efforts were for naught.
As such, there was a certain level of danger that was inherent with crossing through such tainted lands. However, Rhiannon found that despite the dangers, no ill fate befell her or the others as they traversed the mountain side up to the Tiernvael Temple. Within minutes they were atop the massive entrance staircase in front of an equally impressive set of massive doors.
It was quiet... perhaps too quiet.
It was this false sense of security, which caused all three Jedi to be on edge, their Katana's drawn and at the ready. Something wanted them to believe everything was alright and Rhiannon did not intend to let it win as she slipped through the opening in the doors.
The usual grandeur of the Entrance Hall was lost now that the Temple's hallways stood empty. It was now just a large empty space, throughout which her footsteps echoed across the stones. Echoes that were amplified as Leo and Sylina made their own entrances and spread out, coming to a stop when Rhiannon motioned for them to do so with a movement of her hand. Thus far nothing had attacked them. But that did not mean the structure was safe. The Jedi Lords may have expelled the Dark Jedi Order, but who knew what had managed to survive the purge or happened across these ruins afterwards Grand Hall cleared, we'll proceed to the roof top. Reports state that was where Lady Valhalla was last seen engaging in combat with the Fallen Empress. On me! With any hope, they would arrive to the Roof and find the Lady's armour and weapons. But such luck was not bound to be found here. Still, she moved up to the second level and through the set of double doors there before finally finding the set of stairs that wound up through the core of the structure. While the ziggurat like structure did not contain many levels, each level was quite tall which extended out the duration of this climb

Despite the Dark Jedi's expulsion from the academy, Rhiannon could still sense a dark presence hanging upon the air within the Temple. It was not uncommon, she thought, for places where Darksiders had concentrated previously to become tainted themselves. The Valley of the Sith Lords, where many Sith had constructed their tombs, was so saturated by the Dark Side that even the Jedi avoided it unless necessary. She suspected that the Tiernvael Temple would be designated as such a site for Jedi to avoid. It was a Noble cause to seek to cleanse the Dark Side taint from all places. However it was a fools errand and completely impracticle. Better to save as much as they could and make sure what they could not was contained.
Teams such as hers were tasked with making those decisions about various sites around the galaxy. Determine if a place could be saved and running cleanup duty to the best of their abilities, before calling in reinforcements to better carry out a cleansing.
But despite her initial suspicions that this place was merely cursed by its former owners, she could not shake the feeling that they were being watched as they acended the through Temple. They crossed the Throne room and followed the final set of stairs up to the rooftop. A large open space that once served as a viewing area and, in certain situations, arena for fighting greeted them. The gardens up here were in a myriad state of disrepair from the fighting, with many dead plants wilting over. But Rhiannon's focus was upon the massive crack in the rooftop and the gaping chasm that extended down through the building.
She came to the edge of the crumbling floor and tilted her head to look down into it. An action that was wholly unnecessary since her vision was not physical, but granted through the Force. Sylina and Leo gathered at her side, having pulled their own attention away from the rest of the roof top There's something glowing quite brightly down there... Sylina mused aloud
Do you... Do you think it's Lady Valhalla? Leo was stammering a little, almost afraid of this place
I suspect so. Whatever the cause of this damage was, this wound was dug deep into the Temple. When Lady Valhalla was struck down by her foe, she likely fell there... She pointed down toward the beacon of light that was emanating from the deepest depths of the chasm. No doubt physical sight would have missed it, but the trio could not have missed it It seems we need to descend down to the basement. Be careful, if the Dark side clouds our vision too much, descending this way may become dangerous and we'll seek an alternate route down.

In turn, they leapt from the roof and down into the chasm with Rhiannon in the lead, followed by Sylina, and with Leoderas bringing up the rear-guard. The first jump down a couple floors was fine, with everyone landing safely. As they continued on, the darkness seemed to press in upon them as they landed a couple floors further down. Rhiannon stood at the edge of the broken floor and looked down into the darkness once more, trying to see through the veil. But the darkness was all but impenetrable save for the glowing gem of light. She knew how far away from it they were, but she was not certain exactly what was between them and it. She held out her hand, to stop Sylina. It's too dangerous. We'll continue on foot, there should be a staircase nearby that will get us to the basement. Follow me. Her twin sister gave a nod of her head, before Rhiannon moved away from the edge and lead the way out into the living quarters. It was odd to think these halls had once been filled with eager minds ready to learn about the Force. But unlike the Jedi, they had been taught a corrupted curriculum. Poisoned to tap into the Darkside and twist it to their Will. It was strange and almost foreign to her that anyone would have been excited by such a prospect.
She shook her head to rid herself of such concerns for the moment. Her focus needed to be upon reaching the basement and watching for any danger that might be lurking in the shadows. For there was danger here, of that she was certain. The darkness here felt far too alive for it to merely be an echo of the Dark Jedi Order.
A few hallways over they found the stairs down and descended into the darkness. But where they could not fully pierce the darkness from outside of it, their aura's of the light created bubbles around themselves which they could see clearly. Something they were grateful as they made their way down the stairs.
Rhiannon gripped her katana hilt a bit tighter as they arrived down to the lowest floor and she kicked the door open. The darkness felt strongest here, but so too was the source of light down here. The border between the two was constantly shifting back and forth within the cavernous space of the catacombs, reinforcing the idea that there was something or someone out there. She pushed away from the door with Sylina and Leo backing her up. Show yourselves! The hold of the darkside has come to an end here! Of all the things she had expected to see come out of the darkness, several mutated Quarren were not it. They came rushing forward with daggers and staves, while a couple spells went flying through the air. Rhiannon focused upon the staff wielding Quarren near here, engaging him with a flurry of strikes from her Katana. The mutant tried to match her pace, but she was much faster than he could ever hope to defend against. As soon as an opening presented itself, she pushed in and drove the blade up through the male's chest and out the other side.
She extracted her sword and pushed away, semi-twirling around in a dance like fashion as she shifted her strikes to against the Quarren that Sylina was fighting. With their combined might, they made much shorter work of the Quarren then they would have alone. When the three of them teamed up against the last Quarren attacking Leo, the mutant never stood a chance.
Rhiannon extracted her blade from the Quarren's back as its body buckled over and she turned her focus to the crystal as the darkness retreated from the room. There, sitting in the middle of the blast hole that went from roof to Catacombs, stood a translucent crystal of massive proportions. That's... new... She strode forward and placed her left hand against the crystalline structure as she examined it deeper. There, embedded in the crystal, were the remnants of Lady Valhalla's armour. Sylina and Leo moved around the crystal, examining it as well How do you think this happened... I've never seen anything like this before...
It's certainly strange... I've heard of Jedi becoming one with the Force, but never into a crystal... Sylina pressed one of her own hands against the Crystal, trying to probe it herself
What ever caused this is unimportant. We need to get it out of here and back to Ossus. Lets get the hover dolly and some rigging equipment to get it out of here. Leo and Sylina gave a thumbs-up and nod respectively, before they sheathed their weapons and headed back out of the Temple and back to the Zovu-class Fast Cruiser to collected the necessary equipment...
A few hours later and the crystal had been loaded up back into the Fast Cruiser and the survey of the Temple had been concluded. The Zovu-class Fast Cruiser lifted up off the ground and took off back into space, making the jump to hyperspace as soon as it was clear of the planet's gravity well, heading for Ossus.
