*Dock worker Johnson tended to the ships coming in and out of High Port. This included baggage transportation, refueling, minor maintenance and pre-flight visual inspections of transports.*
A passenger transport from Dantooine pulled into the port and hovered over the landing platform.
Johnson activated the orientation signals that guided the ship in to where it landed, so the nose of the transport was pointed in the right direction and the fuel hoses would reach the transport's fuel port.
The transport opened the hatches to deploy the landing struts.
Johnson saw two things fall out of the hatches. "Probably some stupid animals again." He muttered. Occasionally small animals might roost in the landing gear and get trapped when a transport took off. He had seen it before. Depending on how long the journey was, they might survive, but often times they died.
Johnson approached and saw the bodies of people! "Uh, Boss! you better get down here!" Surprised, he informed his supervisor, and then tried to rouse the individuals. Unfortunately he was unable to do that.
Upon further investigation by responding emergency medical services, they determined that the stowaways were pilgrims seeking the holy word of the God-Emperor of all mankind. Their effects were gathered and returned to their respective families on Dantooine.

At dock 45-tr-52281, a freighter came in on approach. The side was emblazoned with the Quaazaar Post, Int. (QPI) logo.
A dock worker activated the orientation signals that guided the ship in to where it landed, so the nose of the freighter was pointed in the right direction and the fuel hoses would reach the ship's fuel port.
The ship deployed the landing struts and gracefully set down. Two QPI cargo hauler droids were waiting as the ramp dropped.
"We just have 2 containers today. The standard 2m x 2m x 4m containters." The crew unloaded the containers from the cargo bay.
The droids scanned the container IDs and logged the delivery in the system, before loading them into repulsor carts. They would be taken down the skylift to the QPI office in Harnaidan. From there the containers would be delivered to the customer.
The QPI-711 was already being loading up with containers for its next cargo run, while dock workers refueled the ship.

With the new Grand Moff overtaking the Muunilist oversector, the High Port becomes a second headquarter of the Imperial Navy Commandos, Stormtroopers trained solely for space combat and the purpose of defending starships and space stations from within. Although it does barely change the regular buiseness of the orbital city complex, the guard presence has slightly increased, as ComSar Guards and Navy Commandos are ordered to coordinate security efforts within the gigantic complex.

The situation above the High Port is stable, as the First Order's garrisons maintain their usual duty and patrols. With the new reforms on the oversector in place, fanatism and conservative attempts to keep the doctrines of the sector more in line with the Galactic Empire's approach of things rather than with Nicademus' desires for the Empire are fought back on a subtle level, as more non-human recruits can be seen among the military forces, either as officers in high rank positions or among the Stormtrooper and ComSar regiments. Relationships with the Muun bankers have thus increased, while terroristic attempts to free the Muun systems from Imperial controll have diminished.

High Port had once been a major military facility for the Imperial Knights and Special Forces. Now, it was more than that. Certain domes were off-limits to the public as they served as training locations for Imperial Navy Commandos under the command of the Grand Admiral Kasalle. Some civilians were allowed back to resume their old trades and businesses. Thanks to the reforms of the Grand Admiral, new ties were being built by the once oppressed Muuns. Some scars may never go away, but it was a step in the right direction. ComSar Guards and Navy Commandos ensured a tight security, but not an oppressive one.

=Theomiir=He was walking a fine line between truths and falsehoods in concealing his reasons for visiting Imperial space, but the Jedi Knight had decided not to outright lie to the Imperial Knight. Instead, he would let the full truth come out slowly, and use it to test the man's reactions, and his attitudes toward the Jedi and toward helping Theo with his twin missions.Smiling, he extended his right hand. "My name is Theo. I'm investigating the disappearance of a Jedi Master. I've exhausted my luck with the Jedi Order. They either don't know anything more, or they are unwilling to help me further." He cringed inwardly. That sounded worse out loud than it had in his head. "So I thought I'd try my luck here instead." He paused, and took a deep breath. "This is one of the only clues I have found so far. Can you tell me anything about it or it's former owner?" He opened his left hand, offering the object to Brock. It was the severed lower half of one of Kel'Al Raganella's lightsabers, with the blue pontite crystal missing. The severed edge was smooth and clean, as if done in one solid cut. This would no doubt prompt a hundred questions, but Theo wasn't going to volunteer the answers. He wanted to see how the Imp thought. Brock suppressed a knowing smile as the visitor mentioned the Jedi being unable to help him. He knew the Jedi were often very self righteous about helping others, however they weren't well known for giving out information to anyone who asked for it. Silently taking the half-saber from the man Brock began with a physical inspection, noting the oddity of it's clean slice as well as the basic internal structure. He noted a few things about it's structure but in truth it didn't give him much information about it's origins aside form a hunch based on the arrangement of some of the wiring.Taking a deep breath the Imperial Knight reached out with his senses, concentrating his focus on the object in his hands. He was not a master of psychometry however in this particular instance he had an advantage. There was a resonance between the broken weapon and the saber on his own belt, not the assembled that all Imperial Knights were issued but the more unique white an gold hilt that his armor's coloring had been based on and dated back to before Brock had even known of the existence of the imperial Knights. Following that thread of familiarity he gathered a flash of this and that, nothing solid but shadows moving on a background of smoke, leaving impressions rather than giving him full scene's of the owner's life. He stands silently in front of the other man with the force swirling around him for a moment as he processes the sense he gets from the weapon before finally opening his brown eyes and holding out the weapon to return to Theo. I am no master of Psychometry however I am certain that that saber is Corellian in origin His left hand briefly brushed his own second saber as he continued. Aside form that I can tell you that this wasn't the only saber your missing master carried, though it was well used. He was still alive when he was separated from it so it's possible that he's still alive. Other than that I only get a vague sense of danger and concern. It's not much but hopefully that gives you a few more hints to work on. The Imperial Knight had no ill will toward the Jedi and hoped that he would be found well and with all his limbs intact, in truth what impressions he got let Brock to believe he'd probably like the man if he ever got the chance to meet him in person.

The Crown Prince's arrival to Muunilinst was similar to that of Bastion; purposefully kept lowkey and only the significant officials made note. The arrival of the Chevalier was noted in the traffic records, its business was namely patrolling within the Outer Rim territories of the Empire. As such, after refueling and resupplying at High Port, it departed the system, leaving Octavian and his entourage at the prestigious orbital facility. The facilities were still being used by special forces of the Empire, although with a more minimal presence of the Imperial Knights since the headquarters was moved to Coruscant.
With his cadre of comrades and associates, only four in total, Octavian ensured they were comfortably housed for the duration of their stay. When he was but an infant, and even before his conception, High Port had once been a center for commerce during the heydays of Muunilinst's economic prowess, both during the Old Republic and Imperial Periods. After the InterGalactic Banking Clan sought to assassination of his father, this place became more militarized and less of a civilian place, save perhaps for dignitaries and officials of the Empire and its commercial departments. The view was quite something from its various spheres, allowing one to gaze upon the gem that was the Muun's second homeworld. Even today, its green and blue surface was a marvel to behold, no wonder his father chose this as their place to start: it had riches and sat upon veins of gemstones and trade that could enrich the Imperial movement during its young days.
But due to the actions of the IGBC, the Muuns were made second-class citizens beneath the boots of Stormtroopers and the favored Imperials. Some Muuns managed to move up into the world, taking posts as economic ministers, advisors, and employees with better pay and privileges, but this was only the proven few. Even now, Octavian did not see many Muuns on High Port, there were some service workers and servants, attendants of the privileged, and only a select few who were the powerful. The Crown Prince left the company of his friends, who all went to do their own things, such as watching the special forces train, visit the small temple of the Imperial Knights, or study on some sort of matter. Octavian was lucky to diligent and motivated friends who would be his strength when the time came.
As he walked along the promenade, the Imperial stopped to gaze upon Muunilinst from a particularly spectacular view. He exhales deeply, watching as others walked below, visiting stores and conversing with one another. Octavian wondered about these core territories, those that help found the First Order and gave it its power and ability to propel itself forward. Muunilinst had been an economic center, but now was more militarized. Was there a chance to make it more balanced? To make it a gem like it was before? Would the Muuns trust his gesture or would they be wary?
Too many questions, too many answers.

With her recent return to Muunilinst after various battles and operations, that had required her services, Grand Admiral Jenia Kasalle waited stoic as the elevator brought her and the two Novatroopers towards the upper levels of the High Port. Though security was not an issue during the times of her administration as the conjoined forces of Imperial Navy Commandos and the ComSar forces allowed both military and police forces to have a common presence within this bustling area, the safety of one of the First Order's more recent favored military leaders was still a top priority. In the past the Novatroopers had proven several times their worth towards the Grand Admiral on that regard, making it thus no surprise that Muunilinst was housing currently a training center for a new generation of these troops. Born to fight for the First Order, loyal to the First Order, devoted to the one true Emperor.
Making her way towards the meeting point, the reason for the Grand Admiral's visit was simple. While there had been multiple occasions on which she had briefly met with the son of Nicademus, it was now for the first time a meeting in the absence of his father, the Emperor himself. Having no intention to let Crown Prince Octavian wait more than he needed to, Kasalle left the turbolift swiftly, the two women within the dark Stormtrooper armour following after her silently. Once she had reached the destination, meeting up with the Prince himself, Jenia lowered her head in respect, the guards in the background kneeling in safe distance. "Welcome to Muunilinst, my Crown Prince", she welcomed him, "I assume you had a pleasant journey?"

Octavian seemed many miles away with his thoughts. As he grew older, there was ever growing shadow in his mind, the shadow of the inevitable that did make him worry and wonder about the future that was certainly to come. Yet, when the voice of the Grand Admiral was heard, his attention was snatched away from these thoughts and the Imperial Knight turned to Jenia Kasalle. Muunilinst had been her command post for a number of years, after the capital had been moved, as Grand Moff, but as Grand Admiral, she was often away on her various duties to the Navy and the Empire at large. She would be among those who would likely follow into the next reign, his reign.
Grand Admiral Kasalle, a pleasure.
Octavian turns fully to address a senior commander within the military's hierarchy.
The journey was short as we only just left Bastion a few days ago. I have a little break in my duties as an Imperial Knight, so the Grandmaster granted me permission to leave and tour some of the Outer Rim territories...
His gaze now turns back to Muunilinst, his place of birth. Over twenty years ago, he and, his twin sister, Fiora, were born of the future Empress Illaria Ren. Back then, the First Order was still growing, but was quickly becoming the dominant power in the galaxy. Nicademus was still Supreme Commander, but their births aspired him to take the title of Emperor and begin a new dynasty. Muunilinst had an important note in the more recent pages of Imperial history.
Seems forever since I have seen Muunilinst. Everything still seems the same.
His eyes glance around the promenade of the Residential Sphere of High Port.
How have you been, Grand Admiral? I hope my father is making you run all over the place too much.

Ever since his return from the Unknown Regions operations he was on, Zahn found himself more often clad in his First Order Dress Uniform. Ever since his appointment as Provost of the Corulag Academy, he had spent a great deal more time dealing with administrative tasks than in combat. Something that many would consider a great boon given the nearly non-existent chance one had of dying in the running of an Academy. But Zahn was not one such person. He had been born and raised as a warrior, leading soldiers into battle was part of who he was. Not that he resented his current assignment. There were just some days in which such a task did become somewhat dull.
Which was why he had taken advantage of some supply requirements to make this trip to Muunilinst himself. While he could have dispatched one of the Generals under his command to handle the matter, it was a nice reprieve from administrative life. It was also nice to visit the original home world of the Empire where everything began.
It was a reminder of all the hard work that had gone into a small fledgling Imperial nation which caused it to flourish out into the Galactic Empire. An Empire which spanned a third of the Galaxy and provided peace and order for billions of people. It also helped steel his resolve in continuing the HOPLITE program. The Empire was powerful, but there were those within it that threatened that power and strength. And he would not sit idly by and allow it.
With his tasks attended to for the day, Zahn had arrived back to High Port and was making his way along the Promenade back to his temporary residence for the duration of his visit. That was, anyway, until his attention was caught by a small gathering up ahead of him: a pair of Novatroopers flanking a silver haired woman who stood opposite a crimson haired male. He recognised the Grand Admiral and Prince Octavian almost instantly. The former because of where they were and how few silver haired females served in the ranks of the Empire. The latter because of the rather non-existent security that existed.
He slowed his pace as he got closer and closer, before coming to a stop and waiting for an opening. It would have been rude to force himself upon the conversation, and what ever the pair was discussing might have been a private matter not intended for his ears

Not long after the arrival of the Grand Admiral, Octavian would notice another within his peripheral, one who had a similar stature and influence among the Army as his uncle, Baltasar Delvardus. The Prince turned slightly to see Thomas Zahn, Provost of the Corulag Academy, come into their midst. He recalled that no more than a few months ago, Octavian was speaking to Grand Moff Thul about Corulag, given that his companion, Roderick Rus, desired to join the Officer's Training Corps program there. As told to Standash, the Academy that Zahn ran had the honor of being privileged with the presence of Bastion recruits, perhaps the most fervent Imperials besides those from Muunilinst, Corulag, and Coruscant themselves.
It was a coincidental meeting now given that the two highest authorities of the Imperial Military, save for his uncle and noble father, were here on High Port and both had come into his presence. A number of times, Nicademus had told Octavian of those who would be inherited into the next reign, his son's reign, the reign of the Emperor Octavian. And among those names listed where the two that stood before him.
Octavian turns to Thomas Zahn, addressing him next.
Provost Zahn, my this is quite the meeting. The Grand Admiral and now the Grand Marshal.
Octavian addresses Thomas, being as professional as possible. A bit of his social anxiety spiked, but he did his best to ease it.
Tell me, how were the operations in the Unknown Regions?
The young Imperial did his best to keep up to date on what others did. At least, what was public knowledge.

Some might consider it fate that the three assembled people would end up in the same place at the same time. But Zahn viewed it as mere coincidence, a chance meeting between the trio. One that he intended to capitalise on as best he could as he waited until the Prince acknowledged his presence. He gave a swift salute to the Prince before moving closer Greetings Royal Highness... The Unknown Regions went well enough. Many of the cultures that inhabit the area are still technologically inferior. Without a firm guiding hand they squabbled amongst themselves with archaic tools. But we have rectified this erroneous course and have begun to guide them forward towards a prosperous future as part of the Empire.

"Since our victories upon our enemies continiue, Muunilinst hasn't seen better days, my Prince", Kasalle reported dutifully onto the question, "The next generation of Novatroopers is ready to serve and has proven themselves both on a smaller skirmish on Adumar during the uprising of a noble house and their household forces as well as during the Battle of Fondor, where they had served aboard the flagship and later joined the pacification of the system. While I had at first my doubts when it came to the Cloning programs of the HI-C, the newer batches seem promising and are on a similiar trained level as the veterans are."
Their brief talk was eventually interupted though by Zann's sudden appearence to which the Grand Admiral remained quiet for the moment, mostly listening to the achievements of the Grand Marshal. There wasn't any rivalry between the two, but rather curiousity from her point of view, given that some of her own administrated regions, primarily the border sectors, could profit from Zann's researches within the Unknown regions.

Greetings Royal Highness... The Unknown Region had ever been a place that his father sent expeditions, on a regular basis, to examine cultures, explore new worlds, anything to understand and learn. Before his birth, the fierce campaigns into the region had been conducted and Octavian learned of the history through his education and the stories from his uncle, the Grand Marshal Baltasar. It was quite a glorious period of history, on par with that of the Imperial Period when the Empire reconquered the Outer Rim for the then Emperor Palpatine and his New Order. He certainly wants the resources and means that the Unknown Region can provide. Not to mention the constant vigilance we must keep considering that the Vong came from those regions, the Vagaari, the Ssi-ruuvi, and such.Octavian knew that there were dangers that lurked in the Unknown Region.Since the collapse of successive Chiss governments, the vigilance must be kept strong. The First Order would do what it needs to do to monitor those areas. With the help of Nem Yin and the Praetorite Vong, considering their expertise of the area. Maybe one day, the Imperials would return to Csilla and aid in the rebuilding of the Chiss into a proper bulwark.Next time you go, Grand Marshal, perhaps see if the Yuuzhan Vong will join you. We do need to ensure strong ties with them since they willingly joined us."Since our victories upon our enemies continiue, Muunilinst hasn't seen better days, my Prince", Kasalle reported dutifully onto the question, "The next generation of Novatroopers is ready to serve and has proven themselves both on a smaller skirmish on Adumar during the uprising of a noble house and their household forces as well as during the Battle of Fondor, where they had served aboard the flagship and later joined the pacification of the system. While I had at first my doubts when it came to the Cloning programs of the HI-C, the newer batches seem promising and are on a similiar trained level as the veterans are." An uprising on Adumar? This was news. Adumar was a significant world that was a strong component in the military industry. It sounded like the Grand Admiral kept a good watch over the system. The noble houses must be bored and decided it was time to make a strike at the Empire.Perhaps I should visit Adumar sometime.Octavian says as he looks at Jenia. They are far removed from the main systems of the Empire. Sit along the line of the civilized galaxy and the vast expanse of the Unknown Regions. Their minor rebellion may have been just a way to get our attention, make us focus on them for once. The First Order was so vast after all.

These days there are certainly a lot of attempts to fight back the Empire and to stirr uprisings upon our worlds, but only few of them require my actual attention." She made a brief pause, considering how to explain it to the Prince in the best way. "I used to deal with pirate raids and chasing smugglers back when we established ourselves among the galaxy, nowadays a mere captain and a squadron of starfighters can do this job for me. Yet while the galaxy is a safer place, my attentions lie in other spheres outside our realm. Whether that would be the gathering of informations on the Jedi worlds and the Sith worlds, that border these or the status of the Outer Rim in general. Old rivals of ours have vanished from the main picture of the galaxy, yet still lurk and wait. While new threats arise more easily than one could possibly consider. My attention these days rather turns to these... curiousities than the usual buiseness, even though I wouldn't ignore it, should it happen in front of my eyes of course."

We do need to ensure strong ties with them since they willingly joined us. There were indeed a great many perils out in the Unknown Regions, and while great swaths had been pacified and brought under the Imperial Banner, much more still existed beyond their grasp. The term Unknown Regions had not been given lightly to that region of space, and it would take many more years and successive exploits to change that title. But it would not be him making such endeavours any time soonI'm afraid the Emperor has me quite busy with the Corulag Academy for me to make any such campaigns out that way again. It gave me a lot of time to reflect and look inward, seeing all those living out in chaos and squalor... It reminded me of why we fight to spread the Imperial ways. But, it also showed me some of our shortcomings... Your father bestowed upon me a great opportunity upon my return, one which took me a great deal of time to understand. He helped me see that I could teach and prepare those who would have to stand that vigil over the Unknown Regions... The truth of the matter was, Zahn was knowledgeable in the Region but far from a specialist or expert. But his reports and findings had all been catalogued within the Imperial Databanks. Though he was also aware that sometimes a report was not always enough to properly understand a subject matter. He remained quite and listened then as Jenia talked of her current efforts with the Novatrooper Program before Octavian mused about visiting Adumar. He offered a smile thenPerhaps a visit to Adumar would not be unwarranted to be sure. While I will not profess to be as well versed as the Grand Admiral in dealing with pirates and smugglers, I would be remiss to not offer my insight as a ground commander... Morale is best stoked by a leaders presence. It reminds the people who who and what protects them and what they serve: a much greater good... Zahn trailed off as his datapad alerted him to a new message that had come in. He had setup a variety of tones for various alerts, so he knew without even looking the rough importance of what had just arrived. He pulled the device from his pocket and looked over the alert, advising of the Emperor's incapacitation alongside updated deployment orders. His gaze lifted from the tablet to meet Octavian's gazeSpeaking of your Father... You may want to get back to the Capital...

"My attention these days rather turns to these... curiousities than the usual business, even though I wouldn't ignore it, should it happen in front of my eyes of course." Jenia Kasalle was among several that experienced an astronomical rise within the ranks of the First Order. Octavian's father had always been attentive to who he promoted to significant positions. Before, the Grand Admirals were once Harlan Petrovsky and Garrick Needa, the Bold and Young vs the Cautious and Aged. Petrovsky vanished, at some point, while Garrick Needa went into retirement. The latter of whom deserved such an honor considering his service to only the First Order, but the Old Empire before. Now there were names such as the present Grand Admiral, Grand Marshal Zahn, Grand Moff Thul, and so forth.
It did give Octavian a pause in his thoughts to consider that, one day, who would replace the reigning Grand Admiral? Who would be the Grand Marshal after Zahn? Who would follow in the footsteps of the names that stood as titans among the ranks of the First Order? These were questions for a later date, but the Crown Prince certainly knew that he'd have to consider successors and promote the right people as his father has done thus far.A mere captain may, but the name of Grand Admiral Jenia Kasalle is enough to make the lesser foes think twice, perhaps even surrender without a fight. While greater ones would certainly relish at the chance of being your opponent. There was a reason why the Grand Admiral was out here, in the Outer Rim. It gave the Emperor a peace of mind knowing that a skilled commander was protecting what was once the heartlands of their growing empire and what had helped propel them into the greater galactic stage.Speaking of your Father... You may want to get back to the Capital... The words of the Grand Marshal were assuring. Given the age of his father, Octavian knew that the Emperor would want the Crown Prince to be seen more. Taking on a more public role as a future leader that the people could rally behind. One day, the seat of the First Order would be his... and if he didn't do the right amount of publicity, the people would wonder who he was and if he was capable to lead. The rank of an Imperial Knight and his title as heir wasn't enough, experience and actions needed to show otherwise.Perhaps, as I return from my Outer Rim tour, I can make a stop at Adumar and see what I can do about assuring the populace. They are a major point of industry, after all, and deserve the attention of the Empire that they had served for many years now. However, his eyebrow went up slightly when Zahn spoke of returning to Coruscant.Grand Marshal, what do you mean? His Force senses then picked up something, causing the prince to visibly turn to a pair of Stormtroopers just below them. Both had keyed their helmets and were facing one another. Though Octavian could not hear what they were saying, their emotions said something else. His senses expanded and this caused the Imperial to pick up on a wave of new feelings that was washing over security and military personnel in the station.
Something... didn't seem right all of a sudden.

*One reason that the security forces on the station might be on high alert was made obvious moments later as 2 platoons of the 501st Stormtrooper Legion marched their way through the corridors of High Port with grim precision. Three officers lead the march as they passed through security checkpoints unimpeded, their authorizations pre-transmitted to the station's staff. Two of the officers were Majors. The first was an officer of the 501st sent to supervise the two companies that had been temporarily assigned to the Veers for this mission. The second was quite clearly not part of the 501st as he was instead wearing a modified version of scout trooper armor colored grey and slashed across the chest with blue lines identifying him as part of the 3rd Imperial Engineering Regiment. The final officer at the lead of the formation also wore the armor of an engineer, though his helmet had intentionally been left behind. Lieutenant Colonel Roland Ferrum, adopted son of the Steward of the Imperial Knights, marched at the head of the soldiers with his grey-blue eyes locked forward, his expression one of forced neutrality.
As they approached the Crown Prince, Grand Marshal, and Grand Admiral anyone familiar with Roland would recognize something was off, the usually jovial young officer moved with a stiff military precision and lack of expression that hadn't been the man's habit since his early days at the academy. Stopping in front of the group the officers gave crisp salutes to both high officers followed by deep bows for the Crown Prince.* "Grand Marshal, Grand Admiral." *Roland acknowledged each of them in turn as they were saluted, and though Grand Marshal Zahn was his immediate superior and a man he'd grown to respect greatly over the time he'd been working on the Veers project his attention lingered on both high officers for only a moment before it focused completely on the Crown Prince.* "Prince Octavian, by the order of Grand Marshal Baltasar Delvardus and Steward of the Imperial Knights Brock Ferrum, I have been sent to escort you back to Coruscant." *The formality in Roland's words would undoubtedly set off concern in Octavian's mind. Although some of his formality could be attributed to the presence of both the Grand Marshal and Grand Admiral, the bowing and use of his formal title were not usual for an interaction between the two cousins, even in a more formal setting he would usually have addressed him by name alone, and had never been known to bow to anyone outside of the Emperor himself.*

If the presence of the 501st companies wasn't enough, it was the stern neutral face of Roland that made Octavian's person freeze in its place. Others would certainly be focused on the Stormtroopers that bore the markings of the Imperial Guard, the finest of the Imperial soldiers and the foremost frontline unit of the First Order. Their appearance, alone, was enough to make anyone's hair stand upon the backs of their necks. But he knew Roland... and Roland rarely ever had a face like that. Not since their days as a youth.
Back when they were knights in training on Coruscant, Octavian and Roland had a rivalry born by their views of each other. The Crown Prince would call him a Street Rat while Roland retorted that he was a Pompous Prince. It was more because they were quite good at what they did and excelled in their training that this rivalry was born. However, as they aged, these remarks at each other became more brotherly. In Roland, Octavian had found the first of his companions, persons who he could trust and many viewed would be an integral part of his government one day when the Crown Prince succeeded as Emperor. It was certainly a most sad day when the young Ferrum left the Imperial Knights, willingly, to pursue a different career. Yet, the two remained in touched and their brotherly bond hardly diminished. So for Roland to appear so grim and stern, the Imperial feared the worse.
When he was formally addressed as Prince Octavian, the young Imperial felt the strong blow against his chest in an emotional and mental way. Roland still had a strong guard about his mind, making it hard for Octavian to determine his thoughts, but that barrier alone made him fear deep down. The order was from both of his uncles... and not from his father. Slowly, the Crown Prince moved from where he stood before and approached Roland.
Ro-.... Lieutenant Colonel Ferrum.
A stress began to form on the back of the Prince's neck as he stared directly at his comrade.
Am I allowed to know why this order was given by both of my esteemed uncles and not by my father?
The Grand Marshal stated, just moments ago, that he should return to Coruscant. Not to mention the sudden change in the emotions and thoughts of the security of High Port. Something was going on and it hardly sat right with Octavian. Long had he sensed something not right for the past several years, especially given the aura around his father. No one spoke of it to him, but Octavian had noticed a greater presence of doctors and Force healing given to the Emperor as of late. There was a deep fear and dread forming within his gut that something was wrong with his father, but Octavian needed to hear it from someone.

*There was a pang of hurt deep down behind the former Imperial Knight's layers of discipline and control as he felt the prince's hurt as a near physical blow. He wanted to comfort his friend and assure him all would be okay, but that was not the mission that had been given to him and if he was being honest he wasn't sure if those sentiments would be true. He had not been given the whole scope of what had happened but his father had given him enough information to know that the future had suddenly become much more uncertain than it had been just a week earlier. Even so he wanted to assure Octavian that his father was still alive, but though High Port was relatively secure, this location was far too public to mention anything about the emperor's condition. Thankfully there was an alternative way to pass on at least some of the information. Lowering his mental blocks just enough to reach out his senses and convey a single message through what bonds they had shared over the years.* <<Alive, but not well>> *It was more of a series of impressions and images than actual words, but the pair had enough familiarity with each other that Roland was sure the message would be conveyed properly.*
"The request came from the Emperor, however my orders were issued by your Uncles." *It was technically true, as the Emperor had created the protocols that Roland was now part of carrying out, though the Engineer was using this particular wording to give the appearance that all was well with the Emperor. He was sure that between the force impressions and the other context the prince would be able to piece together what was actually happening well enough until they could have a proper conversation aboard the Veers*
