Had she merely started on the path to becoming a Sith when she first discovered her powers, she might have become one of those who were complacent. Living as one of the rich on Coruscant, life had been easy for her. Never did she face any struggles or hardships. Even when she had come to notice the effect her beauty had on others, not once did she have to work for anything or really try. It wasn't until she was rejected by one she truly found interest in that she came to realize her power didn't sway all. And in the anger of that revelation, her power had awakened. From there, determination began to seed itself in her when she spoke to the Jedi, wishing training to understand her abilities, yet was denied. So for two years, she worked alone, trying to further her abilities the best she could. Unfortunately, Telekinesis was all she could manage. Under Andor, she faced true hardships for the first time and began to see nothing was handed to her, but it was under Malvus that she came to learn that no matter how much knowledge one gained, there was always more to learn, always room to improve. And since those days, she had worked to ensure she remembered that. It had become difficult since Felucia and being elevated within the ranks of the Blackguard. But for now, she was able to correct herself anytime that ego decided to flare up.
She followed Ifrit, not so much as smirking at his comment at her words. This was no time to be feeling smug, especially in the presence of a master. She finally spoke again when asked about if she wanted them to remain as two bangles or one. "I would like them to remain as two pieces. The symmetry of having one on each wrist is more appealing."

Very well then... He moved the Dantari Crystal bangle to the side as he focused upon the Stygium Crystal bangle. Heaving to create the talisman as a single item would have been a much lengthier process. So keeping them as was meant that all he needed to do was apply a couple changes to the items. Then they would be good to go for use. The crystals themselves helped alleviate a lot of the usual burden that would have been otherwise placed upon the user.
He got out a carving tool then, setting it up in place before motioning for Luxeria to stand upon the other side of the workbench. He gripped her wrists and pulled them so that her hands were almost hovering over the bangle. With Luxeria pouring her own Force Energy into the bangles, Ifrit could focus upon the runes and better bind the items to the Assassin Clear your thoughts and let the Force flow. Don't let up until I say so, understood? He waited a moment for her to confirm her understanding, before leaning over slightly. He picked up the tool and turned the bangle up so that he could begin engraving the inside of the bangle band. Carving intricate patterns and runes into the metal. Watching as Luxeria's energy flowed from her hands down into the runes, empowering them and attuning them to her own unique presence. Despite the simplicity of the intended functions and changes that needed to be made, the process took a good couple hours. Both so that Ifrit could ensure he inscribed the proper runes and to make sure Luxeria could evenly distribute her power and take any short breaks so that she didn't waste herself on the first talisman.
When at last it was completed, Ifrit inspected the bangle. Checking that all the runes were complete and that they were properly empowered. When he finished his inspection, he handed the bangle back to Luxeria The first of the Talismans of Luxeria... known as Dishu. Though, you are certainly free to rename it as you wish... Take a moment to inspect it and get some rest. The Dantari crystal will not be easy...

Doing as instructed, Luxeria moved to the opposite side of the table, curious to the tools he just removed. However, unlike most things that might have needed some explanation, it wasn't very hard to guess. She had seen him make runes back on Pzob and knew that for magic and alchemy, such served a greater purpose than most other cases. As such, it most likely meant he was going to either use them to inscribe runes on the bangles or instruct her on how to do so.
The first option became the revealing option as he grabbed her hands and rested them over the bangle with the Stygium crystal. His words then spoke of her task and she nodded, fully understanding what was being asked of her. Closing her eyes, she did as he said, clearly her thoughts and letting the Force flow through her and into bangle. It was no different than what she had done to tune them and the other lightsaber crystals prior. Now she bring the runes and tune their effects to her and the crystals as a finishing touch. She let herself slip into the flow as she connected with the crystal and the process involved.
After the couple hours passed and Ifrit finished task and told her she could let up, she let out a few heavy breaths. Tuning crystals weren't the easiest of tasks considering the time one spent doing it. Taking the bangle she began to look it over. When he said that the Dantari wouldn't be easy, she couldn't help but wonder what would be different about it. Yet, she didn't ask any questions, knowing she'd know when they started. All she could do now, was nod and rest, regaining the strength needed for the next task.

Ifrit waited and watched Luxeria as she rested, gauging when she would be ready to get to work again. She seemed a resilient enough warrior, as proven on both Pzob and Felucia. But he knew if he pushed her too far that she would break. An outcome which would mean that the work they were doing would be for nothing. Not that he really cared if there was one less Sith within the ranks of the Blackguard. But she was still young and early in her training. Time may yet tell whether she fully embraced the Sith religion or not.
Ikaros appeared from the tunnel leading into the volcano then, carrying a tray with some food, which the female Nightsister placed on a table in front of Luxeria. The woman took a bow before taking her leave, heading back out of the volcano to attend to other business. Ifrit moved over to stand opposite Luxeria and motioned for her to eat Once you have eaten, we will resume our work... Due to their nature, Dantari crystals can be difficult to work with. They are not simply generators of energy to replenish you. They recycle that which you have spent, which means that they can keep drawing upon you if you are not careful...

Luxeria watched as the woman appeared with a try of food and gave a nod as she bowed. While she expected the food to be for her, she didn't begin until instructed solely for the idea that it was either for him or it was for the both of them. She moved through her food quickly so not to waste time, but slow enough that it would disrupt her stomach and make it worthless. She listened as she ate, not expecting the crystal to be as dangerous as it now seemed. It was a good thing that she came to this man. Otherwise, it would have caused her more problems down the road. And that was something she didn't need. "A piece of knowledge left out of research I did when seeking these crystals. Someone did not do enough homework about these before inputting that knowledge. It is a good thing I came here. Otherwise, gaining this crystal could have become a costly mistake."

Ifrit shook his head as Luxeria spoke. It was no surprise that the woman had relied upon written research to decide upon which crystals to choose. After all, there were few with a good working knowledge of every crystal type that she might have consulted. He crossed his arms across his chest then Perhaps... Or the writer did not have this particular use in mind for such crystals... Or it was a Sith manuscript meant to deceive and trick you... There are many possibilities. But not something worth dwelling upon the thought of... For now, gather your strength, and then we shall begin...

Luxeria nodded and closed her eyes. She didn't wish to waste Ifrit's time with idle questions and trivia. There was a task to be done and that task needed her at full strength, otherwise it would cost her. She began to draw up the Force to restore that which was lost in the tuning of the first bangle. It wasn't something she could rush, but it was quicker than simply waiting.
Time ticked on with the minutes passing slowly, turning nearly into an hour. Once she felt she was back to one-hundred percent, she opened her eyes and looked to where Ifrit resided, no doubt returning to some of his own work in the mean time. Standing, she approached him. "I'm ready to begin."

When she asked no further questions and took to recovering, Ifrit moved back over to the workstation and started drawing various different symbols across a holoboard. Making sure to choose the right combination of runes for the task that Luxeria hoped to achieve with the Dantari crystal. The Stygium crystal had been a simple enough spell to bind.
By the time Luxeria was rested enough, He had managed to come up with the runes he needed to carve into the bangle. He moved the board into a position that was closer to the table, so he would not have to divert as much attention to trying to see what was on the board Let us begin then... As before, he positioned Luxeria at the table opposite him. He brought the bangle front and center and pulled out the carving tool. He waited a moment for Luxeria to let the Force flow from her, before he started carving the intricate patterns upon the inside of the band. Where before the runes were about masking a presence, these ones were about trying to store spent energy within reason. One wrong rune and either the crystal will store nothing and be useless, or steal all of Luxeria's energy and leave her for dead.
He did not rush the work, and regularly consulted the practice runes he had drawn. The minutes turned into hours, before finally the second bangle was completed. Ifrit could already sense the crystal storing some of the excess energy that hung in the air. Taking Luxeria by the forearm, he slipped the second talisman onto her wrist before letting go Draw upon it, you will need to refresh... The second of your Talismans is complete. Known as Midwan...

Doing as she had before, she placed her hands outwards over the bangle and began to focus the Fore into it, tuning it to her. She had taken notice of the holoboard and the runes upon it. Was this bangle really that much more of a task that he couldn't carve them from memory? It was possible he could have, but either the amount of runes available was more than enough to sort out which to use or he wanted to be absolutely sure in his work. Diligent and thorough seemed to be some of the keys required for this particular art. And from what she read, anything else spelled ruin to those who practiced Magic and Alchemy without the proper state of mind.
Hour passed on as she worked, focused solely on the crystal. She dare not let her attention waver to the sounds of the carvings or the board to study the runes shown. But it all paid off when she suddenly felt Ifrit place the bangle around her wrist. It had been done. What she sought to achieve over a year ago had finally been completed, thanks to Ifrit's help. Lifting her arms, she let her gaze shift between the two bangles, both alive and full of power. They had even been granted names: Dishu and Midwan. Curious names that she didn't know the meanings to, but it didn't matter. She had recognized the importance of a name. She had given names to her lightsabers, given them greater life and purpose than being simple weapons and tools. It connected them to her even more that way.
Resting her right hand over the Dantari crystal on her left wrist, she began to draw upon the energy that had been collected and stored within it. She was actually surprised it had started working already, further proving their worth. It would take less time to recover now. As she did, she turned her gaze to him. "Dishu and Midwan. So do those names have meaning behind them? I'd assume so as nearly all names have a meaning."

Ifrit watched as she examined her new talismans. He took the moment to relax and stretch his muscles that were starting to cramp a little from the last couple hours of work. He turned his focus back upon Luxeria then, as she asked what the names meant. A question he had been somewhat expecting since he had named both talismans. There were not many that understood the ancient High Sith language, what with it being something of a dead language. If anything, he would have been far more surprised if she had understood the names You are correct... Dishu is the High Sith word for Stealth, while Midwan is the word for power. A simplification of their purposes, but practical... Should you ever need a reminder of what they do...

It was a curious thing, to learn a bit about something of the ancient Sith. Looking back at her talismans, she gave a small smirk. "Rather appropriate. I certainly like it. Is that language required for the incantations involving Sith Magic?" She might not have currently had any interest in learning Sith Magic or Alchemy, but it never hurt to learn a bit about the different arts and pay it its due respect. Besides, she never knew if she'd come across an ability that suited her but required the touch of Magic.

Materializing out of the black sooty mountain in the north, unnamed and observed by few, the brothers glided over the terrain. Huginn tried to peck at his brother mid flap and momentarily lost his composure, descending several hundred feet. Hurriedly he flapped and caught back up with Muninn.
If you continue to select the worst possible worlds, I am going to leave you to the Old Man's Adopted son to have you plucked and deep fried!
Muninn silently flew on, unperturbed by his brother's baseless threats.
At the very least, can we go to a nice world next time?
We will go where we are needed.
Needed? Bah!
Onward they flew through the Epochs as the world underneath them undulated and rippled through its constant creation and destruction. Huginn squawked after an Age had passed.
Brother, there is nowhere to land and rest our weary wings. Lets go to the sanctuary moon and feast on an Ewok and rest.
Muninn simply shook his head as he rose along a thermal formed underneath him from a mountain blowing itself apart in malice and magma. Huginn croaked and followed suit as they continued searching.

It had been an eventful past several days, to say the least. The moment Mariah found herself able to break away from Lord Bladeweaver and venture out on her own, she took it. Old habits died hard. Over the years, she had given herself self-proclaimed missions and traveled on her own accord, always alone. That loneliness was only ever broken up the second those mission started and would quickly return the moment the missions ended. An endless cycle, constantly on repeat. Even after taking on an apprentice all those years ago, that was just another mission, now complete.
However, she could feel a shift within the air and within the Force as she traveled this new path. There were new faces, new facades, new games, new ranks, new lessons. Some she welcomed; others she didn't but would be forced to tolerate. This wasn’t just another mission like she had convinced herself before that fateful landing on Iridonia. The mission: to strengthen her weakness. Her missing piece. A chip in her defenses, one she would learn to repair without any other options in sight. That was all this was meant to be. No different from times' past. Yet, something in her soul warned her that this time was very different.
Nonetheless, the little bit of normalcy she could acquire in her downtime, she would.
With quiet footsteps, Mariah wandered down one of the many tunnel-corridors that expanded in an underground network of roads. Thanks to the convoluted route she had been instructed to follow, she was certain that they were nowhere near Byllurun. They were probably nowhere near any sort of city. As she stretched out the Force in all directions around her, all she could feel were the life forms at Lord Bladeweaver’s encampment. Good. She inhaled in a slow breath, the musty, stagnant air filling her lungs, and continued her journey away.
The tunnels quickly turned from man-made to natural with the turn of a corner. Perhaps the line which marked the end of Lord Bladeweaver and his comrades’ territory. Stalagmites and their counter partner stalactites created the giant maw of Sullust; the rushing rhythm of what sounded like an underground river soon revealed to be the volcano’s river of magma, flowing within the belly of the beast. Following the pathway crafted from both nature and time together, Mariah marched onward through this untamed expanse. In the quiet of her own thoughts, she had wandered for at least an hour before something caused her to pause.
In an ethereal display, pools of magma were found near natural underground springs. Despite the darkness cast through the underground tunnels, the ceiling to the planet surface had been worn away, allowing in some of the sunlight from outside. While she could feel the heat permeating the air, the rocks which lied within the shadows were cool to the touch. Throughout this open area, columns had formed, the ceiling meeting the floor, like a natural clock for how long this place had gone undisturbed. Intrigued, Mariah studied the open area with a critical crimson stare. In the simple silence of this place, Mariah had made her decision. This is where she would set up camp for the day, and would soon begin her own routine, lessons, practice, and meditation.

Post by Huginn & Muninn on Oct 24, 2018 22:05:01 GMT -8
Ever long in their search, the two brothers became weary of searching for a place to land to rest their weary wings. Everywhere and nowhere, they finally found shelter within the tumultuous crust of the planet.
Their presence was a void, a hole in the force. Every flap of their wing was a single raindrop in a hurricane on the ocean. Every word a wave in a storm. So, they sat and waited. They both knew what was needed from them: a unique tale to bring back to the old man, should he ever return.
Through the haze and the ash, there came a presence. It was one that was not entirely out of the ordinary, and for some reason, it has a familiarity that was like an itch that needed to be scratched. For Muninn, it was expected, and he waited patiently. For Huginn, it was expected, and he scoffed as he rolled his head to the side and looked away.
Muninn was captivated as he watched the figure come and look around. He clicked his beak ever-so-quietly. He and his brother remained out of sight, their presence not yet manifested into the reduced dimensional world that was occupied by many of the beings in this universe. Rather they stayed high above and continued to watch - Muninn out of intrigue and Huginn out of obligation.
As the creature knelt down to meditate on the Force, the brothers began inching closer to the common dimension of three ever so cautiously. Huginn whispered to his brother.
It seems you have a type, dear brother.
Force user?
Huginn looked over and offered what could only be felt like a sly and devious grin (as much as a bird can grin).
Attractive.
Muninn shrugged his wings as they neared the being, a woman, still yet shrouded in the darkness of the distant dimension they fell towards.
Perhaps. I always have liked red hair.
Huginn chortled, his voice dripping in sarcasm.
Hair, that’s definitely it.
Muninn snapped back.
Hey, which one of us went after the girl child last time, eh?
He was answered with silence, and he turned his head to look onward toward the woman as she came into focus.
That’s what I thought. Besides, our last charge was a man, no? Did we not extend his life to thousands beyond his years? We followed him from his youth until he led his people out of this galaxy, did we not?
Aye.
The response was thick with admission. It came out more of a sigh of resignation.
And are you nor bored of traveling the cosmos, waiting for Ragnarök?
Aye.
Came the now annoyed response from his brother.
Okay then. We will follow this one for a bit and see where it leads her and us. Could prove to be interesting for all of us me thinks.
Huginn snapped at his brother.
Fine! But I get to choose the next planet we visit then! I’m tired of these wastelands of sorrow. Besides, she feels like she could use a slight change of pace.
Fair enough.
They slipped into the three-dimensional space as mere shadows against a wall behind the woman who knelt before them meditating. Silently they watched for a few minutes as her breathing echoed against the walls. Huginn, bored, twisted his head around and began to preen himself. The woman turned her head ever so slightly and suddenly that it would have been imperceptible by most entities, but for Muninn who watched captivated, saw the movement as an explosion. He looked over at his brother and pecked at his head before nodding toward the red-head.
What?!
This time she visibly turned to try and find the direction of the ripples in the force and Huginn saw what his brother did. In unison, they wondered separately and together "she feels the sounds we are making?"
They were still ever the voids of presence, but their presence in the fabric of the Force wasn’t completely absent. Every sound they made sent the most miniscule vibrations through the ever-churning and seemingly chaotic nature of it, but those who spent time inside of it and knew its tune could - with enough presence of mind - notice what could effectively be described as the shadow, the wake, they left behind as they traversed the cosmos.
In the silent stillness of the cavern, the natural palace, the three of them now inhabited, it would not be completely out of the question that one who was attuned to the Force could hear their words and their actions. But had she heard their approach through the multiple dimensions from which they descended? It mattered not. She was the target of their new and eternal and unquenchable curiosity.
What was a moment to her was an Epoch to the brothers and they measured their next moves very carefully. The two of them were in sync with the other's intentions with a practiced unity that seemed as though they were the same creature.
Huginn appeared before the woman who knelt with her eyes closed and head still slightly turned back to where they were previously watching her. His presence before her was the same as if he had been there since the dawn of time. Still, without a presence in the force, he revealed his black feathers in the visual spectrum of light, as dim as it was. He opened his beak and let out a single
CAW!
At the moment that her meditation was broken, Muninn grabbed her lightsaber in his beak, jumped back and began to fly away.
A grasp washed over him through the Force, instead grabbing the saber in his beak, spinning him around he fought the pull that was intended to crush his body, had he not been a physical creature.
With the focus pulled off of him, Huginn began pondering where he would go next as the woman struggled for an eternity with his brother. Finally, satisfied with his decision, he opened his beak and let out a single
HA!
All three of them vanished from the cavern.

He regarded Luxeria for a moment. Considering her curiosity and interest as she asked if the language was required. He gave a slight nod, as he sensed she was genuinely curious about his work. Luxeria nodded at his words about the language. In truth, her curiousity to learn how to, at least, read it. It'd be something she'd have to look into later. No doubt the archives on Mustafar would have something on it.
When the topic directed itself to the mask she requested, she gave a disappointed sigh. She had nothing to offer up for use, unlike her talismen. Then again, her sudden desire for one had only recently taken root in her mind. "I do not. Up until recently, I've thought nothing about using a mask, and only a bit longer have I considered working as an assassin. I did come across a mask in the vaults of Darth Vader's castle, if only to be a decorative item. But we were only allowef one relic to take as our own as the rest would be taken and studied."

He crossed his arms as Luxeria all but said they would be starting from scratch, whilst making mention of having seen a mask in the vaults of Vader's castle. Either one of the Sith's alternate mask designs, or something plundered from a cache of Sith artifacts elsewhere. At the very least, it probably gave Luxeria some ideas for what she wanted her own mask to look like Vader huh... One of many Sith famous for their masks... He moved around the workbench then and cleared the board of the runes he had written. Leaving it blank for them to sketch the design of the mask that Luxeria would wear. He moved to the side then, ushering her over to the board Close your eyes and reach into the Force... Focus upon what you want. Imagine something you would want to wear, upon the visage of death that others will look upon... Concentrate upon this one thing, and it will show itself clearly to you... While he could have put together a design of something for her, Ifrit wanted to see just what she was capable of coming up with unaided. She was the one that was going to have to wear it after all, so it was better she came up with it

Luxeria stepped up to the board without question or hesitation. She knew what she was wanting without the need to think about it. At first, she only saw the mask as a trophy for her work, something to decorate whatever room she had at the time. It wasn't until she chose the learn the arts of assassination that the thought of possessing a mask came to her. But when it did, her mind immediately returned to the one in Vader's vault. It prompted her to look up the knowledge about masks worn by the Sith. It was then she realized they did more than cover one's face. They held advantages all their own. From there, she the additional abilities that needed the reside within hers.
Closing her eyes, she began picturing its shape. Before long, she was forming it upon the board for Ifrit to see. Not only did she come to understand what a Sith mask truly was, she had researched all the different known masks of the past. She had even thought about forming a new one. But in the end, all roads pointed back to the single design she had seen: a full version of the one once worn by Arcann during the height of the Eternal Empire. It was much more elegant in its shape, yet not so much that it betrayed her own desire in asthetics. No other mask seemed to hold a candle to its appearance in her mind.
She opened her eyes once she had a fully detailed picture in her mind. The image resided in the board now, clear enough for Ifrit to see.

Ifrit remained out of Luxeria's way, as she worked upon the board. Watching each design element come together to form the design she wanted. Even before she was half finished, he was getting a good idea of the mask she was designing. He had seen mention of Arcann in a text that covered the history of the Eternal Empire. The young prince had suffered a grievous injury during the invasion of the Republic and Empire. To ensure his survival, a half mask had been grafted to his face to hide his wound.
As Luxeria stepped back from her work, Ifrit moved forward. Examining the board for himself. Manipulating some controls to form the mask into a three dimensional diagram. He turned it this way and that way, examining the finer details and working out different systems that would work. His attention did not appear to leave the hologram as he addressed Luxeria An interesting design... So... We need to distort your presence, while blocking outside influences... Were there any other abilities or mechanical devices you would like this to possess?

Luxeria stepped away, letting Ifrit examine the design and begin giving it new life in a three dimensional model. She nodded to herself as the shape resembled the one she saw near perfectly. It only confirmed the design in hr own mind. When asked about any additional abilities or devices, she let her head drop as she thought through anything else. The only other thing that might have been good to add was device to alter her voice, yet she let it pass from her mind. When the moments came that she'd don the mask, she'd be focusing on the art of stealth and assassinations, which meant she would be incorporating the art of silence as well. If there was a moment she would speak, it'd only be when it was absolutely certain her target wouldn't get away.
Looking back to Ifrit, she shook her head. "No, those two abilities will be all it requires." She could have explained her reasoning behind it, and almost did, yet she guessed he had no care or concern on the matter. So she simply left it at that.
