Grace listened to Kierian's tirade and her heart went out to the man. The openness with which he described her face some might see as harsh but given the run of his censure she actually had to stifle laughter with a left hand. The Raven dumping his droppings on the man brought the second hand to face as she attempted to contain herself. The sequence between the shot blowing the bird to bits and it exiting the mess of flying feathers as if nothing had happened put the woman on her behind laughing. Finally collecting herself Grace stood and looked around her at the scene

Rhiannon too heard the rant. She had to agree this was not exactly normal. This? This was pretty far from normal. About as far from normal as it could, or dare she hope ever would get. Looking around at the motley crew before her she had to admit inwardly this was probably just a drop in the bucket.... And then the whole phoenix sequence abruptly transpired with Grace dropping to the ground in laughter over it all. Yes Rhiannon thought; strange days indeed lie in store. And there was her ship. Then taking a second look she could see nothing. Wiping her eyes she looked once more. Perhaps things were moving too fast. Things were somewhat hazy. Right hand stealing into the left side of her coat she pulled out the mickey of Teacher's Highland Cream, unscrewing the cap and took a strong pull. Eyes tearing up shaking her head she looked again. Well, that made things a touch clearer. Slipping the mickey back where it had been she sighed. Out of the blue and into the black. Strange how one oft saw things clearer in the dark of night. Most out of character the old Jedi spoke abruptly -Rhiannon- “There is a place where I would most like to see!” She whispered into Grace’s ear

Lending her ear Grace listened. A devilish smile crossed over her face. She entered the ship without delay. Boland, still tending to Maureen looked up at Grace as she entered. Cú Faoil sat at the side of the bed loyally. Grace smiled and winked then bending over she whispered in his ear. Boland looked up at her -Boland- “Seriously? It’s real?” To the man’s question Grace nodded. Without hesitation Boland stood and waltzed over to the pilot’s seat and took up position. Grace turning went to the open hatch yelling -Grace- “Were going!” Waking to the noise the little girl spoke Maureen- “Where?” Rhiannon, Kieran and Laoch carted themselves on-board as Boland prepared the ship to lift off

Rhiannon stepped forward giving detailed yet fast directions to Boland. Then she herself took the co-pilot position. Giving Boland a nod she smiled

Far from the capital of Xozhixi, Valefor stood atop a cliffside overlooking a once abandoned and forgotten Bacta production facility. This particular site had sat here undisturbed for years. Its technology had long been surpassed by much larger facilities that had been set up by the corporations that profited off the production of the medicinal solution. So it had been easy to take it over and use a couple dozen Engineers to bring its technology up to speed. From there, it had been a simple matter of hiring a half dozen crews to begin farming the raw material. Once the supplies had started coming in, Valefor's work had begun altering the formula ever so slightly.
The Corrupted Bacta had looked like the normal supply, except that it did not properly heal wounds. Instead, it gave the affected patient a particularly nasty infection. Something that normal Bacta could easily cure, provided the Doctor and Patient were willing to risk using Bacta again and trusted it not to be corrupted.
In the spectrum of nefarious plans, this sat fairly low down there. But sometimes the simplest of plans were the most effective, especially if the supply was to ever get let loose within an army. Thinking about the kind of havoc it could cause on the battlefield was enough to make him smile as he stood there. But if he was being honest, the Corrupted Bacta was merely a side project that happened to exist in due to the main experiment he was working on here. Provided he was successful, he would be able to create an unstoppable army

Following the coordinates of the revived facility, Elise raced through the terrain, with four guards in tow. Sure enough, roughly twenty kilometers from the capital, an old factory had seemingly been brought back to life. With the building within her sights, Elise felt an odd pressure against her temple, her vision going white for but a brief second.Get them all out! Now! Hurry! The sound of glass shattering echoed so loud that it felt as though her brain was next to fall into a million, fragile fragments. With a groan, Elise came to, warranting a concerned glance from the guard who sat next to her, who had taken control of the landspeeder for the brief second she had doubled over.Letting her take back full control of the vehicle, he asked skeptically, Are you feeling alright, Master Solmourne? Should we head back? I'm fine, she dismissed gently yet firmly. We're almost there. No point in turning back now. Reluctantly, he nodded in agreement, with the others remaining otherwise silent. In a way, she was right. There was no point in turning back. In the matter of another minute, they had nearly arrived on the doorstep of this secret operation. To Elise, all that vision meant was that they were nearing, and thus the disturbance within the Force sang out to her again. This place was the cause of her ill-feelings, her visions. She was certain now.She brought the landspeeder to a screaming halt in the brush just outside the facility. Close, but still hidden. In a synchronized motion, Elise jumped out of the vehicle, the other four following her lead. Now all of them silent, the rushed as quietly but quickly as possible towards the facility in hopes that they were still undetected. Like a machine, two guards shot at the terminal that activated the door and forced it open. With the two rear guards flanking her, and other two standing at their post at the front door, Elise reached for her saberstaff and ignited the dual orange blades in preparation to whatever horrors they would find and face within.

A multitude of alarm klaxons would have sung out, heralding the arrival of intruders to hundreds of well trained and armed warriors that would assemble at the command of a handful of dark acolytes. At least, that was how Valefor would have had things occur in an ideal situation. Instead, a single klaxon sounded out as the door lock was busted in and the door opened. A half dozen nearby workers stopped what they were doing, drawing their blasters to fire on the intruders. Despite the work that Valefor was performing here, it was not a mini fortress.
The factory itself was a decently sized warehouse filled with updated machinery, with about 2 dozen workers overseeing the operation, while several ship crews were hired to harvest the base material. At the far end of the warehouse to where the Jedi had just entered, sat Valefor's 'office' which acted as a front for a hidden staircase to below the ground. An almost identically sized space to the one above was set up. It was down here, that Valefor would be found carefully altering aspects of the Bacta in hopes of creating a fast acting supply that would self-replicate as the user demanded.
He paused for a moment as he sensed the arrival of a presence he knew could only belong to a Jedi Hmm... An unexpected guest...

Hostilities of any kind were far from an ideal situation for the Jedi who rushed into this factory-like building, but at least it would be a situation easier to handle than she had expected. She had hoped to subdue the workers before they had fired, but it appeared as though they had been trained, at least somewhat, with how to defend this operation. Before Elise could open her mouth, she was forced raise her saberstaff in front of her and create a windmill of burning orange to deflect those shots fired at her. The two guards who followed fired immediately in response to the hostilities. Gliding her staff to spin behind her, Elise then lifted her free hand and sent a wave towards those guards to her left, sending them flying back and ceasing their fire.Don't kill them if you don’t have to, Elise commanded loudly over the blaster fire. I want as many witnesses as possible. A half-truth of an excuse, but it was enough for them. To be wholly honest with herself, Elise just hated the idea of killing these workers. There was a chance that many of them had gotten sucked into this operation without truly understanding what it was they were working on, or that they had a deeper reason for being manipulated into performing these duties. To subdue a dozen or so workers was a simple enough task for a Jedi Knight and two armed guards who had been adequately trained in their craft. Although some casualties were unavoidable, at the very least, Elise could hear the pained groans from a few others. Now, she needed to figure out who spearheaded this operation and what vile things were truly going on here.Approaching one of the downed workers, Elise disengaged her staff and knelt down to meet him eye-to-eye. Frightened, he clung to his blaster, as if to attempt another round of shots upon her. Nonetheless, she offered him hauntingly gentle smile as she guided the blaster with her hand to point just shy of her right.Tell me who brought you here to do this. Where are they? No answer. Elise sighed. I swear that no harm will come to you. Please, all I ask is for your cooperation. Although there was still no answer, she watched as his eyes betrayed him, glancing away from her and towards an area of the room, somewhat like a study. There was something that she could feel, though, a hunch that she was willing to take.Standing back to her feet and turning her attention back to her guards, she ordered, Fiver, figure out how to get that alarm shut off. Spitfire, retrieve a sample of whatever it is they're working on in here. Vi, keep watch for anyone who might barge in. And all of you, keep an eye on all the workers here. Make sure none of them run or try to attack again. She then turned to the last of the four, typically seen as their commander in an unofficial way. Nexu, with me. Named for his history in being a predator on the field, she figured it would be best to bring him with her. Unsure as to what they would face, it was better safe than sorry. Elise studied the area that the man glanced over, her fingertips running over the bookshelf that dominated the wall. Expelling a breath, she closed her eyes as she attempted to open herself up to the energies of the Force, which she hoped would guide her.Sir, with all due respect, Nexu interrupted in his skepticism.Shh... hushed Elise, peeking over at him with one eye and a smile. It wasn’t long before her fingertips brushed over the spine of a single book, sending a horrifying image to flash before her eyes.So many people stood before her in neat rows. Dozens. Hundreds, even. Their eyes empty. An aura nothing short of evil wafting around each and every one of their presences. The air was thick with the darkside, stealing her breath away as if she had been struck hard in her abdomen. It was a flicker of an image, but with it, Elise tugged at that tome, sending a lock to unlatch and hydraulics to pull the bookcase inward. With a faint laugh to bottle up her discomfort to the vision, she nodded towards Nexu, who simply nodded in return and rushed in before her. They descended the staircase, Elise reigniting the twin orange blades as the new room opened up to them, revealing a single figure that brought Elise to tighten her grip around her hilt. Nexu lifted up his own blaster and fixed it upon Valefor, but knowing the Jedi he accompanied, he held his fire.Your work here ends today, Elise called out to him, her voice calm yet firm. If you'd care to come quietly, we can get this whole thing sorted without any more casualties. All she could do was hope he would listen to reason, but prepare for a fight.

Valefor had stopped working the moment the alarms had first sounded, knowing that his workers would be no match for any raid that might be conducted by a Jedi. Within minutes of the door breaching, they had either been subdued or had fled from the warehouse. He did not blame them for their self preservation. It was only natural to want to live and not die. Especially when the only cause they were fighting for was personal greed. He glanced down at the papers he was working on, different designs were scrawled upon the paper One day... He tapped a finger upon the stacks of flimsi, which abruptly caught fire. Despite the time afforded him as the Jedi rounded up the last of the Workers and searched for the hidden entrance, he made no moves to erase the databanks. His work on the bacta project and the resulting failures remained catalogued for easy perusal. The flimsi burning itself out just as the hidden door opened. His hands rising up as he heard the all too familiar snap hiss of a lightsaber igniting. He smiled as he heard a female voice telling him his work ended today I suppose you're right... He turned around slowly then, his empty hands on full display for the Female Jedi and her male companion holding a blaster rifle. His gear giving him away as a member of the local defence force. He motioned with one hand toward her weapon I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage my dear... But you won't be needing that. At least as long as you do promise there will not be any more casualties... Including myself at the hands of your fellow Jedi...

There wasn’t going to be a need to fight. Typically, Elise would feel relief rush over her with that knowledge. But there was something odd about this whole encounter that kept her on edge. He didn’t even try to put up a fight. Perhaps he truly knew and believed that it would be pointless? Nibbling thoughtfully on her lower lip as she tried to judge the whole situation, Elise only hesitated for a beat after Valefor before she let the twin orange blades retreat back into the staff. Nexu, though, kept his blaster trained upon their foe.
Even so, the Jedi took a few steps forward, hovering herself between the blaster rifle and the Sith. Her gaze remained trained upon him, and although her blades of her saber were no more, she kept her hand poised on the trigger, should this all be a ruse. There was a quiet feeling in her soul that kept her calm, though, and with it, she carefully began probing Valefor’s mind, hopefully skilled enough to do so without alerting him. She needed to ensure that his surrender was true and genuine, though.
If you do come quietly with me, I’ll be sure that the council knows of it, that you didn’t attempt to bring harm to either myself or my men. It will no doubt speak in your favor, no matter what it is you’ve been doing here.
At her response, though, Nexu muttered quietly to her.
Sir, if we report back our findings here, this will no doubt fall out of the Jedi’s jurisdiction and into the hands of the Union. You can’t promise-
Elise glared back pointedly at him, an odd sight considering her otherwise gentle expression, and cut in.
Then we must ensure that this remains within the Jedi’s jurisdiction.
Nexu appeared to nod his head slowly towards her, however Elise could feel the struggle within her companion at her confidence. He was more than a little unhappy with her answer, but that was besides the point. At this moment, she could only hope that their little back and forth didn’t stir anything within the Sith, and that a fight could still be avoided here. As if to continue offering a token of good faith towards this one she was attempting to subdue, Elise took another slow and careful step forward towards him and oddly enough, offered out a hand to him.
Please...
Hopefully, the other men had found what they needed, proof of exactly what it was that he was working on here. If this all proved to be a ruse, then they still would have something to report back. However, if Valefor remained this compliant, the deeper, hidden details lurking behind the facts -- the why's, the how's, the what's -- might still have a chance at being discovered.

A small feeling of relief passed over him as the Jedi extinguished her lightsaber blades. At the very least, she was far more reasonable then other Jedi would have been in this situation. Many, he suspected, would have been more like the security officer that remained poised on the staircase. Ready to strike him down at a moments notice.
He kept his focus on the woman as she moved to position herself between him and the rifle. A sign of trust perhaps. That she was willing to accept his surrender as genuine. Or she knew that should it come down to it, the blaster rifle would be no match for someone like Valefor. In either case, he listened as she promised to speak on his behalf and ensure he was not unduly executed.
His gaze briefly flicked up to the man on the stairs then. He listened to the exchange between the two, as the Jedi implied that they should ensure that this situation remained a Jedi matter. Valefor let out a chuckle then, as he kept his gaze locked upon the man Do you really believe that the Union can contain someone like me? And they say the Sith are arrogant... He shifted his attention back down to the Jedi then, as she moved in closer and offered out her hand. Her final plea for him to not do anything and come quietly. He might have crushed the man's weapon, or sent a sharp wave of Force energy to send him flying backwards. But he resisted such an urge. Knowing that such an outburst could very well ruin all that he had worked toward so far.
He reached out and gently placed both of his hands around her smaller hand. Giving a nod of his head Very well, my dear. Lead on... By now, the local police force would have managed to get into the servers and discovered the documents and data related to the experimentation that Valefor had been doing with the Bacta. Including what the batch numbers were and what the true purpose of it all had been. An army of near immortal soldiers that could heal their own wounds without need of outside influence

With Valefor’s chuckle, Nexu shifted his gun ever so slightly. Even with Master Solmourne’s position, if things went wrong, he could try to clear a shot over her shoulder. It wouldn’t be a fatal shot by any means, but the benefit he had was that this Sith towered over the smaller female who carried this misplaced judgment of trust. At least, that was his view on the matter. To make matters worse, the Sith’s response left him unsettled. To make such claims...
However, her companion’s thoughts and feelings wafted so thickly around him, Elise could clearly feel it within the Force. His desire to pull the trigger all too quickly, when this man hadn’t yet done a thing to them. He may have hosted evil intentions here, but so long as he was willing to cooperate, violence wasn’t necessary. A belief they didn’t share. It was a tricky situation, to be sure. With her free hand, she lifted it towards Nexu, motioning for him to lower his blaster. Remorsefully, he followed the silent command but refused to release a firm, purposeful grasp on the weapon, just in case.
Elise's deep brown eyes never left Valefor, though, and as he took hold of her hand, she offered him a gentle, pleased smile. He very well could have acted harshly against her; in fact, now was the opportune moment to do so. Yet he didn’t. She exhaled a sigh of relief as she led this monstrous man of a Sith towards the exit point. She requested no bonds or cuffs to keep him contained, either, an odd thing she may or may not have purposefully dismissed as an option. It was anybody's guess, as she led the two out of this hidden area of the factory.
Nexu, she commanded. See to your men and gather up all evidence and witnesses. I’m sure the council will want an accurate report to this incident as soon as possible.
Although the man nodded, he remained to her rear until the three were up the staircase and back into the main area, where a better eye could be kept on Elise and this Sith the woman managed to take captive by not only his men but the local law enforcement who had arrived onto the scene. The two were an odd sight, to say the least. However, Elise wasn’t as helpless as Nexu might have wanted to believe. With every step by his side, she ensured that she kept her mind calm and open to any sort of disturbances in Valefor’s disposition, whether it meant he would run or lash out suddenly. Although offering her trust in the strangest of times, she wasn’t as naive as many wanted to believe her.
I’ll need to personally escort you to Corellia where we can better determine a future fitting of your crimes, Elise murmured quietly, sorrow peeking its way through her otherwise soft-spoken demeanor. May I ask… what were you trying to accomplish here as your end goal?
Although the men had gathered up the bacta supply to send back for further research, which would no doubt reveal the answer to that question, there was the greater question that followed. Something no amount of research could discover. Only speculated upon, never knowing which was the correct answer, as Valefor was the only one who held that truth:
...and why did you do it? Was it... worth this risk?

Valefor didn't flinch at all, despite the fact he was a hair trigger away from having a blaster bolt sized hole through his chest. His gaze remained down on Elise, trusting her quite literally with his life. A fact which he was sure many Sith would have laughed at him for. But the gamble paid off as the man lowered his rifle. Valefor then let himself be lead up and out of the basement by Elise. Quite surprised that she requested no bonds or cuffs be put on him. Her faith in him to continue to comply was a little astounding, even to him. Though, truth be told, the woman was armed with a lightsaber that would very quickly end up embed in his chest should he try anything.
He remained walking by her side as they reached the main floor of the facility and kept heading toward the exit. Her sorrow catching him somewhat off guard as he came to a stop beside her. Turning to face her as he tried to get a good read on the woman. It was rare for a Jedi to show emotion of any sort for a Sith other than contempt. Perhaps the woman was starting to realize that her trust in him was not likely to be shared by the Council. A fact he had already come to grips with. His right eyebrow raising then, as she asked him what he hoped to achieve and whether it was worth it I suppose you Jedi do not understand, even after years of waging war with the Sith... It is our nature to seek immortality, to cheat death... I hoped to create a concoction that would create renewable bacta inside a person to allow soldiers to heal their own wounds... An immortal army so to speak... The Jedi believe in becoming one with the Force when they pass. Some of us do not... It is one of the core driving motivators of the Sith. Our lives are precious to us, and we do not wish to lose ourselves back into the Force... He shifted his gaze out the door then, the light changing to an orange glow as the sun began its long descent toward the horizon. Casting this part of the world into night time To that end, Sith have committed acts of great power... terrible, but great power, to extend their own lives. Vitiate is probably the closest any of us has come to true immortality... But like all things, it came at the cost... Just as my own experimentation and actions have their own cost and risks... Poisoning soldiers was never my true goal. It was just a byproduct of what I hoped to achieve... But the time to pay my penance has come it seems... He let out a sigh and turned back to face Elise. Hoping that all of this would work out in the end At the very least, I'm glad it was you that found me... He looked down upon her for a moment, before turning his body to face the door while keeping his head faced toward her to finish what he was saying Any other Jedi might not have been so forgiving...

True enough, Elise knew that her methods far differed from many of her elders and Masters among the Jedi and the Council. However, the mere fact that she was able to peacefully walk side by side with this Sith, one who had planned death for many, spoke deeper into the truth that she knew. The Sith were evil; however, the man could still be reasoned with and reveal purity and goodness, no matter their walk or experience. Many would turn a blind eye towards it; it was Elise’s truth, further founded as Valefor answered her questions, no different than one friend speaking with another. Not taking into account the topic, of course.
As the Sith went on about cheating death and immortality, Elise’s lips turned downwards into a frown, but not a disapproving one as might’ve been shown by another Jedi. Her brow furrowed, her deep brown eyes still watching Valefor with a sense of sorrow and sympathy towards his beliefs of the Force. She was not ignorant of the suffering the Sith would endure in the afterlife, and thus, their search for eternal mortality began its vicious cycle. However, that was where her understanding ceased.
Our lives are precious to us, too. Elise corrected softly, her gaze silently pleading for him to keep an open mind to the words she spoke. However, the Force allows us harmony within It once our mortal life has come to an end, as all things must. If It so wanted us to find immortality, one would think a discovery would have been made by now, an understanding of the Force that allowed us to live naturally throughout the ages. Elise wasn’t so misinformed to believe that there were many powerful Sith who managed to bend the rules of the universe, living much longer than others. Still, she couldn’t bear to call any those methods ‘natural’ means to accomplish that goal. Always more death, destruction, needlessly for some selfish desire. As much as the thought sent a pang through her chest, she seemed otherwise and wholly composed before this Sith. Instead, in death, It can embrace us -- our souls -- for those who seek to understand It and become One with It. Something much easier said than done, I’m sure, but still possible to all who wish not to fight against It.
It was then that Elise couldn't help but turn her gaze away, her final sentence rambling off into a murmured sigh. With a deep breath to quiet the emotions she was taught to keep in check, she then glanced over to find two of the men who accompanied her heading their way. Although her lips didn’t move, her eyes seemed to smile as she silently greeted them briefly.
Master Solmourne, it would be your best interest if we vacated the premises. Nexu and Vi will stay behind to debrief the police, but they’re antsy to take in all those responsible into custody for further questioning.
Although his helmet blocked all sight of his expression or eyes, it was more than evident with the motion that he sized up Valefor. Elise offered an understanding nod before waving them off towards the speeder. That wave of her hand elegantly outstretched into a guiding motion for Valefor to be the next to leave and to follow the two. As Valefor would make his way out of the building, though, she continued, even quieter than before.
I cannot pretend to understand your motives and why the Sith would rather spend time in life trying to extend it, rather than to simply enjoy and make the most of this one life we have been given to live. I am grateful, though, that it was I who the Force guided to find you. There is something about you that many of my fellow Masters may have missed. I will do my best to speak on your behalf once we reach Corellia. You have my word.
That was it, wrapped up as nicely in a bow as Elise could ever manage. This entire encounter was surreal, but in all things, she believed the Force had led her here, for this mission, at this time, for a reason. Although her current quest remained the same as any other Jedi’s -- to escort him to Corellia -- this was no longer a simple retrieval and escort scenario. Valefor had come quietly upon being discovered and seemed to harbor no ill intentions. Just as she had proved to him that she was not like ‘any other Jedi’, he was clearly not like any other Sith. The Force had set her on this path, and she would journey down it willingly.

Although it was clear she did not perhaps fully grasp the point he was making, she seemed to at least be able to follow it to a point. Something which, in itself, spoke volumes to the difference between her and any other Jedi. Although she frowned at him as she spoke, he could not help but respond with a smile as she tried to convey her own convictions to him. It was a noble effort, but one that was destined to fail Immortality is a grand goal, and not one meant to be achieved by all. This galaxy is filled with a finite amount of resources, young one, and if all of us were able to exist eternally, we would only use up those resources all the faster... The Force does not just give up all of its secrets to Jedi without some kind of trial and training. So too, would it not give up the knowledge of how to live forever without some great trial and tribulation... He cut off when the two men came rushing forward to update Elise regarding the police situation. He remained still and quite, letting his Jedi friend deal with them, before moving when Elise motioned toward the door for him to go ahead. He shielded his eyes from the brief change in lighting from inside to outside as he exited the building. Still listening to Elise try reason with him, admitting her own shortfall in never being able to truly understand his motives, or those of any other Sith. He kept following the pair in front, his pace in no hurry nor form so as to seem like he may still try and escape Perhaps I may yet be able to help shed some... for lack of a better word... light on to where you may fail to understand still... Your kind, and many like it, exist within the Force almost like empty vessels, equally able to accept light and dark within them. You can feed and be fed by what ever source of power you choose. But Sith... true Sith like myself... We are not like your kind. Contrary to popular belief, the Force does not exist within as all equally and fairly. When my people were born, we formed a symbiotic relationship with the darkness. We are not empty vessels capable of accepting anything we choose. We are built to feed off the darkness and for it to feed off of us. We are incapable of this harmony and becoming one with the Force, no matter how much we seek to understand it... For me and my kind, it truly is impossible, no matter how much we wish not to fight against it... He let out something of a sigh as he continued on toward the speeder as Elise admitted, more to herself than to him, that she would try her best to speak on his behalf. But even he could tell she harboured her doubts as to how effective it would be. He stopped just short of the vehicle then, turning toward her, the faintest hint of defeat hidden within the fading smile Promise me, Jedi, that should your Masters demand my death, that you are not present for it...

It was an odd thing, to have a Sith -- a true Sith by blood and bond -- to so calmly explain to Elise that which she couldn’t comprehend. Never in her wildest dreams would she have imagined herself to be standing in such a situation as she did this moment. She felt neither discomfort nor a dissonance in such an occurrence, though. Instead, she had to quiet pride, something she personally shunned to accept humility, that she felt swell within her chest.
The Jedi woman hummed thoughtfully, a soft sound that barely resonated within the air before it was carried off into a dissipated silence. She still continued with calm, although hurried steps to lead Valefor outside and away from the local authorities that swarmed the building. However, her thoughts were now plagued with this idea that there were those who could not reject the dark side of the Force and could not escape its cruelties. The pride she once felt became a silent sorrow, not only for this Sith but for all like him.
But perhaps there was a way. A hopeful idea that could help shred away the darkness and help open him to the light. If such a way was possible, surely she could find it. She was no master magician, but she believed in the Force. The only question for the Sith now, however, was if he was given an opportunity to reject the natural darkness he claimed would always linger around him, would he?
It was a question she hoped she would be able to ask him one day. That, and to continue this conversation. However, now was not that time. There was a time and a place for everything, the Force be willing. It was these thoughts that resounded a verbal sigh at his request, though. Should her Masters demand his death, that she not be present.
I will only promise you one thing, she answered, setting her gentle, dark gaze upon him. There was still sadness yet a fierce determination intertwined in the serene warmth of her tones, though, as she continued. I will do all I can to ensure that that will never be your fate.
She helped load the Sith up into the speeder, to which she would take him back to the city. From the city, she would escort him to her ship, and from her ship, she would make her return trip to Corellia. From there, his fate would be in the Council’s hands, a thought which left a knot in her throat. No matter what they would say, though, she was determined that the Force guided her towards this path, and she would follow it willingly, no matter how difficult the future trials and tribulations. Confronting her Masters would be but one of many to come.

Shaodru had been dispatched to Thyferra by Prophet C'thyl and The Behemoth Shaxad, each tasking him with a mission. The first was Prophet C'thyl's task, which had involved transporting a number of Quarren Dominion members and supplies from Dac to Thyferra to corrupt the Bacta Supply. In its natural state, it was a life saving substance. But once Shaodru and his minions were done, the Bacta supply would not heal wounds, but cause them to fester and induce powerful visions of the future. Showing them what horrors were to come and that all life would be eradicated. It was a devious endeavor, but one Shaodru took to with glee and had spent the past several weeks perfecting. It was one thing to infect the Bacta supply, but another entirely to achieve the wanted results. Once he was sure it was what he needed, A batch of contaminated Bacta was released into a nearby village to observe the results.
Within days, the town had descended into madness and the inhabitants had either killed one another or themselves. The blood shed had been glorious and a sign that everything was ready to go ahead with the next phase. But Shaodru was splitting his time between this and the second task that had been assigned to him by The Behemoth Shaxad. The Great Old One had tasked the Prophet with awakening Zhori the Hungerer, one of Shaxad's kin. For that task, a number of creatures had been shipped to Thyferra where they had been bound together within a massive chrysalis. It stood several stories tall and a ring of Cultists surrounded the massive base. Shaodru spent weeks chanting spells to bind the creatures together while allowing the resultant creation to feast upon the Bacta, allowing it to grow stronger and faster. The time was starting to draw near when Zhori would be awoken, then Thyferra and the galaxy would bow down to the Quarren Dominion

Overseeing the preparations for the summoning, Sith Sorcerer Rokkud Sul would order his gungan brethren to scout the local area. Having recieved the visions from the stars months ago, the force-sensitive chief had met C'Thyl in the past and followed his call, learnt from the league of Sorcerers before he would have returned to Naboo, spreading of what he had been taught among his tribe members. Having become an outcast among his own brethren and the other clans, Sul and his corrupted followers had fled aboard a transport vessel, gifted by another sorcerer, whom the great Prophet had sent out in order to fulfill his promise.
Rokkud Sul had waited for a long time for the coming of the gods, as on Naboo his tribe had to endure many challenges and many tragic losses. It was that moment when his wife had died, that Sul wasn't able to believe in what the Gods had taken from him, slowly descending into madness as he prayed to the more occult entities, their names being forsaken and buried for a long time. The moment, when C'Thyl recognized Sul's plead for a more powerful god, one that was able to overthrow his enemies and get rid of the nasty surface dwellers, who claim Naboo as their own, he realized that they served the same beings. Thus it couldn't have been a coincedence that Shaodru, servant of the herald himself, was sent out to summon forth, the One to whom Rokkud Sul and his cultists already prayed for years: Zhori the Hungerer.
Thus it was important for Sul and his mutated brethren to ensure that noone would disturb the summonings of their fortold master, the one, who would feast one day upon all of their souls, the Devourer of Dreams. As the preparations continiued, the primitive Gungan Sithspawn would remain on their watch in order to ensure that the Cult was informed about the local activities.

Senator Argon had promised himself, and indeed the people of Thyferra, that he would continue to fight for them and listen to his constituents even after his election to such high office and appointment as Foreign Minister. Of course, Thyferra was home to millions so it was impossible for him to answer every correspondence sent to him, but his staff did a good job of filtering through and responding to what they could, passing as much as they could onto the Senator himself. And that was what brought the Senator back to Thyferra for the first time in months.
There had been reports of some disturbing occurrences on Thyferra. Things few could believe, but the Senators staff had corroborated the reports were true. Something evil was on Thyferra. A small village of Vratix had contacted him about a strange madness that had taken hold. Only a few days later, the entire village had slaughtered each other inexplicably. The Senator, against the advice of many advisors, had decided to investigate the village himself.
Tensions between the human minority and native Vratix remained strongs, the Vratix remembered decades of exploitation by humans and still suffered from the long term effects of the apartheid like conditions they lived under as human corporations pillaged the planet and its people of their reasources and skills. Salvor however, had spent decades fighting for the Vratix and proved himself to be one of their staunchest advocates. And so it was him who they turned to in these dark times. Upon his arrival, Salvor was briefed by Thyferran Police and some doctors sent to aid with the investigation, however none of them seemed to have any idea what had happened. Once again ignoring the advice of his advisors, Salvor insisted he travels to the village itself.
The site was horrific. Blood ran through the streets which were littered with the corpses of the villagers. Their deaths were violent, as the villagers had few weapons most had been killed in a viscous, animalistic fashion. The eyes of some were clawed out, the throats pierced, and bloody scratches seemed to be present on many of the victims. It was a disgusting sight, like nothing he had ever seen before. And yet in the absence of any physical evidence as to what caused the massacre there seemed to be little the planetary authorities, or indeed the Senator could do. He had a strong distaste for the Jedi cult for many reasons, yet as much as he hated to admit it they were quite possibly one of the few people in the galaxy that could find answers, so he returned to his shuttle to sent a message to the Jedi Academy on Corellia.
"Hello, I am Senator Salvor Argon, representing the Union of Fondor," he said in his message with a solemn tone, "I have been contacted by the people of Thyferra for aid...something terrible is going on here. A village, a normally tranquil, innocent village suddenly and without explanation started turning on itself, its inhabitants attacking each other. Within a few days the entire village had seemingly massacred itself. There is no evidence as to what has occurred or caused this. Yet it is clearly not a natural occurrence. I fear that this may repeat itself. We must discover the cause of this massacre and prevent it from ever happening again. And so, I implore the Jedi Order to send a team of investigators to see if you might perhaps have better luck uncovering this mystery that the police and I have had. Thank you. Please hurry." He shut off the transmission and sighed. He didn't like them, but people were more important than the pride and his philosophical opposition to the cult.
