Sul's Mutated Brethren stood watch over the village from afar, observing the comings and goings of the police force that had arrived to investigate the slaughter. They stood vigilant and intended to do so. That was, until the day the Senator arrived to the Village. Fa Corr, Rokkud's second in command, seemed to almost salivate as he watched the old man walk the streets of the village. He had heard much of this man known as Salvor Argon from the locals. A champion of the people and senator to the government known as the Correllian Coalition. Such a person would make the perfect sacrifice to Zhori the Hungerer as a sign of their loyalty to the Old God.
As the Senator returned to his shuttle, Fa Corr ordered the attack. Spears filled the air as the Gungan Sithspawn fell upon the small security force that had escorted the Senator. Fa Corr wielded a pair of dual blades which he used to cut down the officers. Rending flesh from bone as he made his way toward the shuttle's entrance. War horns sounded with a sickening noise, their instruments had become as mutated and decayed as their owners. Fa sheathed a blade, grabbing an officer around the neck and thrust his blade through the mans mouth and out the back of his head. As he let the body fall, he stood tall before the Senator. His voice sounded harsh, as if some of his vocal cords had been torn Senator Argon... Zhori the Hungerer shall feast upon your flesh! To your feet heretic! Or I will make this very painful for you...

The attacks tore through Salvor's small security detail with frightening speed and brutality. He tried to back away, but he knew it was futile. The septuagenarian was hardly capable of offering any resistance. The attackers were clearly Gungan, yet there was something wrong with them, their appearance was abnormally grotesque. Gungans were generally quite isolationist, it was odd seeing them away from Naboo especially several of them at once. It seemed his instincts that there was something sinister at play here was correct. What was Zhori? Why was he planning on eating the ageing senator. "I think there must be some mistake. I am not exactly worthy of being feasted upon," he said standing tall and in a stoic tone as he faced down the hideous Gungan leader. "I can't imagine I'll taste very good."

Silence! Fa Corr stepped closer and held his blade to the Senator's throat as Salvor rose to his feet The Hungerer will feast upon your essence when he awakens! This way! The Gungan moved behind the senator, His blade still resting across the aging Senator's throat as Fa Corr bound the man's wrists behind his back. With Salvor secured, he pushed the Senator on out of the transport where the Gungan's were checking the bodies of the security detail. Fa Corr let out a bellow, with his brethren joining in the cry of victory. The retreat was sounded then, and Fa Corr lead his war band away from the village and across the terrain to the ritual site. It was a full days travel by foot, but took a day and a half to account for the stops required not to overexert the old Senator. A fresh meal would be much more satisfying than a rotting one.
Shaodru was waiting in the camp when Fa Corr arrived with Senator Argon. The Quarren Sorcerer might have smiled had his disfigured appearance allowed him to. Instead, he strode forth and praised Fa Corr Welcome back Fa Corr! The Gods smile upon you and your people for this prize! When Zhori awakens, he will be most pleased by your offering! The Gungan Warrior looked pleased by the words spoken by Shaodru. The Quarren than turned his attention to Salvor, who was still bound at the wrists and had Fa Corr's blade close to his throat It is a pleasure to welcome you to my humble abode Senator... Minister... Which ever you prefer really... Fa Corr's scouts informed me that you were in the village and had gone back to your ship... Tell me, who did you contact? You summoned someone, didn't you?

Salvor kept his chin up as the blade was brought to his throat, remaining calm and refusing to give in to their attempt at intimidation. After all they clearly wanted him alive so they weren't going to kill him giving the threats little effect. The journey was long and arduous, difficult for the elder senator but he refused to give them the satisfaction of appearing to be suffering. As the journey went on he slowly tired but he remained defiant until finally they arrived at their destination, wherever that was. He was greated by a Quarren, leading to even more questions about who his captors were and what they were after. "I contacted my staff back in Xozhixi. Told them I was on my way back and what I saw and that we still had no idea what had happened," he explained. It wasn't true but the Senator could be a surprisingly adept liar for someone who prided himself on his integrity. He didn't see any sense in telling the truth. They already claimed to offer him as some sort of sacrifice so what did it matter if they knew he was lying or not? If they fell for the deception it could at least give the Jedi some element of surprise, if they came that is. If it failed, well then there was little more he could do anyway.

Shaodru stepped closer to the defiant Senator, his long bone-like fingers wrapping up and around the man's face. The Quarren's eyes glowed yellow as he called upon the darkness, seeking to pierce the Senator's mind. It would be an unpleasant experience for the man, as Shaodru forced his way in like a thug prying open a lockbox. He kept his probing to just the edges of Salvor's consciousness, careful not to damage the man too much before pulling back You think me some fool, don't you... To so boldly lie to my face... Tell me, Salvor, how much do your think your mind and body can handle before they break... No matter, none can oppose Zhori the Hungerer once he awakens. Then all who call this world home will bow to their TRUE GOD! Chain him before the egg! Let him look upon his future... Fa Corr nodded and dragged the Senator through the camp to where a massive chrysalis sat in an opening. Intricate rune work had been carved into the ground surrounding the egg, with latent energy seeming to flow into the center. Fa Corr pushed Salvor to his knees, as a pair of Gungans attached chains to the Senator's wrists. long enough that the man could knee or sit, but far too short for him to stand up. Within the depths of the chrysalis, something seemed to move as its attention was drawn to where Salvor was chained.
Shaodru moved through the camp back to a large tent, where Rokkud Sul and Vaxhu were waiting. He gave a nod of his head to the Gungan Sorcerer and a bow to The Hand of Shaxad It seems that Fa Corr picked up Senator Argon on a visit to the nearby village... He claims to have contacted his staff in the city, but I would not take him at his word. We should move to awaken Zhori... None will be able to stop the Hungerer then...

Sul appreciated the information, as he lowered his head devote. Although Shaodru and him were technically equal in terms of the sorceror's hierarchy, the Gungan respected the fellow cultist in a way, that he saw him superior than himself. "Command mesa to do whateva sa gods favor!", he replied in a raspy tone, his yellow-glowing eyes burning with determination, Deysa be coming, but sa outlaunders shall perish by sa means of da great voodoo! Mesa will take care of dem, if Shaodru wills it!"

Shaodru glanced toward Vaxhu for a moment as Rokkud volunteered to deal with what ever force arrived to try deal with Salvor's disappearance. Vaxhu paused a moment, before nodding his head ever so subtly before Shaodru turned his attention back to the Gungan Very well, have your people ready for any incursion. I will attend to the awakening of Zhori. There is still spells to cast to call him forth into this world... Do not let me, or The Hungerer, down Sul... Vaxhu gave a nod then I shall return in a couple days time to check in... Shaodru gave a low bow to The Hand of Shaxad, as Vaxhu took his leave of the meeting to go load into his Manta-class Infiltrator and head back to Mon Cala. Shaodru dismissed Sul before heading out into the camp to where the chrysalis sat waiting. Without any sort of grand, massive speech or warning, Shaodru got to work etching out several carvings to set to work further spells and rituals needed to pull the creature within the shell together and call forth Zhori's consciousness from Chaos

Looking down on the camp from a nearby ridge I can't help but be struck by the sheer audacity of the entire project. It's not like it was hard to locate the strange activities on the planet, a blurry satellite image combined with the last known location of the senator had been enough to get the general area and almost immediately after landing my YT-1930 Daystar on the planet a few miles away the air had almost literally stank of Sith Sorcery. I was unsure if the 4 Jedi with me could feel it the same way I did, but I was sure even without my familiarity with that vile craft they'd still feel a deep darkness within the force. Whatever was happening it definitely wasn't natural and it definitely wasn't a good sign. The senator had definitely run afoul of some dark goings on and it may have been sheer luck that we were called in at all. Following the source of the darkness had lead us here in short order.
Clicking through a few settings I pull down my the modified welder's goggles form the top of my head and watched as the digital magnification slowly brought details of the camp into focus. I went with the more mundane option for my goggles than some of it's more specialized function to avoid the Force Users who had to be down there from sensing the active scanning of my construct. While this mission isn't dependent on surprise it's never a good idea to give your presence away too early. It takes only a moment to find the Coalition Minister mound in the middle of the camp in front of.. shit.... that wasn't good. Whatever that giant chrysalis was hiding was bad news and the inlaid spells around it did not bode well. A took a moment to flick a couple of my wrist controls recording saving the last minute or so of recording from my goggles for later study.
Pulling the goggles back up I pull out my flask and take a long swig before turning to my companions. It looks like they have the senator tied up in the middle of the camp. Unfortunately it looks like the plan to use him in a ritual involving a way too large chrysalis. I have no idea what they are trying to bring to life but whatever it is can't be good. The senator is our top priority, but nearly as important we have to disrupt the spell they're trying to lay or we're going to have a big problem on our hands. Turning to the young torguta Knight I pull a long knife from my belt and hand it to him. The blade had been enchanted specifically to disrupt the magic of Sith Sorcery. Stab that into as many of the runes surrounding the chrysalis as you can, If we disable enough quickly enough we may be able to disrupt the spell before it can take effect. I turn next to the older of the two Masters accompanying me. Master Rancis, go with him and try to keep the sith spawn and whatever else comes at him off of him. Turning to the remaining two Jedi I take another sip from my flask. You two are grabbing the senator. Get him free and keep him safe. Nodding to myself as the plan is laid out my usual half-smile spreads across my face. And I... get to be the distraction.
A few minutes later I found myself on the other side of the camp having circled wide around to come to come in from a different direction. Pulling down my goggles once again, I begin to record, letting the HUD fade into the background of the system and focusing on the task ahead. Stepping forward I imagine I can't be much of a sight to whatever these are. My chainmail tunic is hidden underneath my multi-pocketed and grease stained mechanic's jumpsuit, having left behind my outer robes on the ridge. Though my grey beard is trimmed neatly the equally grey hair above it has lost some of it's control, springing a bit wildly in the humidity of the planet. The only visible weapons were a pair of DE-10 blasters, but they remained in their holsters for now. All in all I looked more like a strange old spacer than a Jedi Master, but then I began to draw on the force. I pulled it in to me making myself a beacon of the light side as I stepped out from cover and into the open camp, smile on my face as I spoke loudly to the camp at large. Does anyone have a comm I can borrow? It seems that I'm just a little bit lost.

Nemo had felt a bit uneasy since they had left the ship. There was something about this place that made him feel restless, like he was constantly on alert. This was different to when a Sith or darkside being was near, this was something else entirely. It started to make a bit more sense when they found the Senator and his captives. They were clearly preparing for some sort of dark ritual and by the positioning of the Senator, he was to be sacrificed.
Mike gave his orders and Nemo nodded. It seemed that he had assigned the right people with the right skills to the different jobs. Although he had only just met Valorian, he had a good feeling about the Knight. He turned to the younger Jedi shortly after Master Frantz had left to set up his distraction.
“Val, do you mind if I call you Val? Once this kicks off we both need to get to the Senator as quickly as possible. I think I can probably make the jump from near the edge of the camp to near him. If we can both make it close, I’ll try and clear an exit path for you if you can stick close to the Senator and give him close protection from these cultists. We should be able to make it out of there quite quickly. Do you think that sounds good to you?”

It appeared the Senator's captors were preparing for some sort of ritual. In the back of mind Valorian wondered if this is the sort of thing the Ember of Vahl and his parents were involved in. There was little information he could find on the cult he was born into and the Jedi masters had been reluctant to speak of it to the young Jedi.
Snapping out of his wandering thoughts, Valorian turned to Nemo. "Val's fine," he said with a smile. "I think I can make it too. Sounds like a plan," he agreed, uncliping one of the lightsabers from his belt. "Ready?" he asked as he got in position to attempt the leap towards the elderly senator.

Steffo crouched low on his haunches to the left of Mike his booted feet sank slightly into the soft wet earth, as Mike made preliminary observations the Jedi closed his eyes and opened up his connection to the force, finding his centre residing in the fortress at the centre of the storm, chaos could wheel around him but he was calm and ready. Yet what he sensed troubled him and a owing to the number of times Steffo had been in the field with Mike he sensed a pique in Mike's alertness and focus and could only assume he too had sensed that tangible corrosive almost sulfuric taste, if one could ascribe a taste to the force regardless whatever was going on below it reeked of sinister energy and that could only mean sinister plans usually guided by a sinister hand.Turning to the young torguta Knight I pull a long knife from my belt and hand it to him. He listened to Mike and simply nodded before making his way over to the Torgruta and noting he looked a little unsure Steffo placed his hand firmly calmly on his back in a, don't worry gesture. He then reached into a utility pouch in his belt and pulled out a small grappling hook which was attached to a device which he clipped securely to his belt, he waited for the Torgruta to follow his lead."We will repel down and then move as quietly as we can, use the cover of this hill, the shadows, undergrowth and dsrkness and get you as close as we can, I will move in step with you and when the time comes I will defend and cover you, we want to preserve the element of stealth and surprise for as long as possible." Steffo waited for the younger Jedi to equip his harness before firmly anchoring the grapple in the ground at the top of the ridge. He turned and regarded his fellow knights."Force guide you my friends." Steffo then ran the last foot and those on the top of the ridge would see the filimant cable go taught as the Jedi ran straight down the cliff face toward the ground.

Oh, this is a ferking mess... all the way in... I would have prefered a border dispute with the local aliens.
He sighs, putting his binoculars back into the pouch hanging from the belt.
"Oh well, here goes our good luck. I guess we're going to stabby-stab that thing, whatever it's"
The togruta smirks, trying to vent out the stress.
"Well, we're one with the Force, the Force is with us... I guess"
He takes the knife.
"Alright, I'll get to the bussiness of using this thing's pointy end to disrupt whatever crazyness those guys are pulling out"
The master's plan was odd enough, but the master himself was an oddity, so it didn't come at a surprise, anyway. He grabs the ritual knife firmly. Kaj didn't expect the weirdos around the giant egg to be collaborative, so he readied himself, trying to call on the Force to increase his reflexes and response. The young jedi fully expected having to lit up his lightsaber in a few moments, so he took the weapon from the belt, while wielding the knife with the left. Thanks the Whills he was an adept at Makashi, because he would have to one-arm those tentacle-covered fiends he glanced around the giant soon-to-be omelette. He listened to what the third master jedi, Steffo Rancis, had to hear, nodding, he took the grappling hook, arching one of his white-spotted eyebrows, but obeyed noneless.
"Oh well, I haven't felt like a Corellian hound yet... guess it's about time"
He fixed the device on his belt.
"Alright, so take the lead. I guess I'll try not to take a pee on a tree"
Kaj looks at those present and nods to Valen.
"Force guide you and all that stuff"
He follows the master for the fear he wold go down rolling if he didn't.

The Gungan guardians eyed the stranger with interest, as he approached the camp, their snail-like eyestalks following each of his movements. Most of the mutated creatures took their primitive weapons, spears and clubs, made out of wood and metal in order to approach him, encircleing their prey quickly. The Sithspawn creatures didn't seem to be too intelligent, given the ammount of mutations which some of them showed, may it be smaller tentacles here and there, thicker skin, eye stalks which had randomly grown on other body parts... some featured even claws at where normally the fingers were. They looked like primitive humanoid at first, but their muscles and behavior looked like they were more agile in terms of reflexes as on the regular humanoid variant. The situation got more dangerous as a hulk-like Gungan creature stepped forward, roaring at the undercover Jedi like some sort of animal. Preparing itself to smash the person in front of it unconcious with a club, the brute went for a direct attack - perhaps the last mistake it would have made within its short corrupted lifespan.

So much for the element of surprise....
A guttural roar would have grabbed his attention even if he hadn't sensed the waft of foul corruption that eminated in waves through the force, a great body of what were once perhaps... Gungans began to move on mass toward Steffo and Lash.
No doubt the creatures had been imbued with the ability to see in low light or in the dark altogether for despite their extra ungainly appearance a section of them were headed straight toward him. Steffo had faced various dark side abominations in his time but none would he say looked as almost comical as what headed toward them now, with extra limbs, eyes and flapping mouths the creatures; if such a word could be used were hobbling, gambling and galloping toward their position, one might find it amusing if not for the fact that they were in a greater number and corrupted by the dark side which likely meant they felt nothing and would move to reckless attempts at preventing the Jedi from success.
A huge roar and a great hulking mass of a monster Gungan battered three or four others out of it's path and charged at Steffo aiming to bring it's colossal fists down on the Jedi and flatten him likely into some form of humanoid pulp.
In a swift motion guided and fueled by the force Steffo retrieved one of his savers from his belt and activated the azure blade as he stepped to his right and brought the plasma energy blade up to intercept the beasts arms, Gungan flesh met energy blade leading the beast to roar as its arms were removed at below the elbow, taking a respite to turn his head Steffo yelled at Lash.
"Get moving, I will hold them off for as long as I can!"
At which point the colossal abomination took the opportunity to launch a great hulking leg at the Jedi's chest, admittedly an oversight by Steffo for the foot connected and sent the Jedi sprawling backward, letting the force guide his actions once more Steffo flipped backwards and landed on his haunches on the ground. He would not under estimate them a second time, blazing saber in hand he rose and charged towards the seething mass his blade becoming a whirling vortex of lethal energy and any make shift spear or weapon, arm, leg, hand or foot that it met on its journey was untimely separated from its former owner.

Almost a day had passed since Salvor had been captured and Shaodru had begun expediting the process of awakening Zhori. The Senator had been forced to remain kneeling where he was bound. Giving the human a front row seat to the preparations as prisoners that had been taken by the Gungans were sacrificed upon the seals. Their life force feeding into the Chrysalis, which Shaodru manipulated and weaved into the beast within. Sewing flesh and sinew together to create a creature of pure nightmare. Shaxad had given him a vision of Zhori and he would see it done.
The Gungans standing watch of the ceremony shifted their gaze in several different directions as enemies had been spotted. Shaodru finished weaving the latest spirit into Zhori before turning around and walking over to Salvor. The Quarren Sorcerer let out a guttural bellow, causing the Gungans to pull their shields into defensive positions as Shaodru looked down at Salvor Called your staff, hmmm... Yes, if there is one thing your kind is famous for, it is lying. No matter... The Hungerer is almost awake. Let us see if your rescuers can save you, before he eats you... Shaodru turned back toward the Chrysalis and began chanting the incantation as several underlings took their place around the seal and added their voices to Shaodru's Nafl'fhtagn Zhori, nafl'fhtagn ng ahmggoka bthnkor l' mgepgoka ymg'. Fhtagn mg ahog uh'eog. Nafl'fhtagn ng wipe mglagln hlirghh! The Jedi in the area would feel a pulse of dark side energy coming from the seal as the chant echoed out across the camp and the spellwork was activated. Soon The Hungerer would awaken, and then... he would feast

It seems like my distraction had been at least partially successful. The majority of the corrupted forces of our enemy seemed focused on me. In truth it's a rather gross sight to have to deal with, eyeballs in places they aren't supposed to be, other corrupted deformities dotting every inch of what might have once been gungans. What stands before and around me is definitely a corruption of life, one that I have no reason to feel any sadness in ending. Taking one long calming breath as the sithspawn begin to surround me I draw deeply on the force as suddenly a larger figure charges out from the group toward me seemingly intent on crushing my skull and likely the whole spine beneath me if it could. Thankfully it would never have that chance. I blurr into motion as it reaches me, sidestepping the overhand strike and holding my right arm forward as a stream of metal shards begin flowing out of the various pockets of my jumpsuit. Controlled in part by active telekinesis and part by the connection gained in the process of forging them the thousands of tiny metal shards move almost like liquid metal in a straight path from my outstretched palm toward the hulking creature. They spread out suddenly retaining their individual nature as they plunge at speed into the figure ripping through it like thousands of needles theoretically turning what was once sithspawn into a pile of corrupted flesh and mush, splattering across it's fellows who seemed to be moving in for their own engagement.
Pulling back with my will and telekinetic control the shards reverse direction suddenly, returning to myself and coalescing together, forming the shape of silver metal staff as they bond together. While it might have been more impressive to swiss cheese the entire force it would have drained me far too much to for whatever else was about to happen so Instead I resorted to more traditional combat, letting the force guide me as I moved through the remaining sithspawn raining down blow after blow on unprotected skulls or joints with my staff, becoming a whirlwind as I began dispatching the forces in front of me, hopefully keeping most of them away from my companions so they can take care of their portions of the mission.
Not long into the force guided whirlwind of combat a dark pulse of sith spellwork crossed through my senses. Whatever spell was being worked was nearing it's climax. Disengaging for just a moment I take advantage of a lul in my own combat to enact some countermeasures. Finding the pulse of throbbing darkness I slam the butt end of my staff down and release a focused batch of my own stored energy through it, using my knowledge to tailor my own signature to interfere with the spell being enacted. From my distance and distracted as I am it would never be enough to shut down the spell entirely, but it might be enough to slow it down enough for my companions to get into position to counteract the spell by other means.

Sensing the disturbance within the force, Rokkud Sul watched from the distance as his brethren were running towards one position, as they fought of an intruder. The Gungan Sorcerer could now feel the ammount of force power which was erradicating from their position, knowing enough that this was a bad sign. The summoning of their tribal deity had the utmost priority. Before further gungan brethren of his kind would leave their guard posts to join the slaughter, he would command them with an iron grip, his deep voice echoing within their mind. "Stop! Protect da ritual site! I'll handle thisa mess! Iä! Iä! Zhori fhtagn!" Most of the beasts followed the order, as the Sorceror himself would leap forward and run towards the location at where the strange force user, presumably a Jedi tried to disrupt the summoning process. Rokkud Sul knew that he might not survive the fight, for the Prophet had once warned him of the Jedi's agility and their blades, having him taught among others a defensive stance, for the sorceror's greatest weapon was their mind, as a single ritual blade or sharpened staff could kill a lifeform as well as a brute lightsaber.
Like a shadow the dark-robed figure of the gungan would jump onto a high-ground position, observing the ongoing battle as two of the brutes were still combating the stranger, a pile of multiple limbs, rotten flesh and other pieces bathing the earth in blood. A symbol of worthy sacrifices. Sul could feel the power, which emerged from the force user below him, a radiating light, brighter than anything the gungan had seen before. This was the enemy, the incarnation of all, what the Dominion seeked to end and to corrupt, to twist it into the Dark and extinquish it once the galaxy is about to end. Summoning forth a mirror image of his own, Sul would then begin to attack the stranger with force lightning from above, being so far in the defensive as he allowed the madness and feelings within his mind to slowly flow through him, his hatred upon his own people and upon all life forming already the source of his malific power.
The beasts in the area around Mike would continiue their assault, as they were supported by one of their masters.

His blade continued to leap, looping and weaving its deadly dance, the force flowed through him like a free flowing stream Steffo had focused his mind and found as he always did the fortress of solitude that he always pictured as a castle amidst rolling and tumultuous wave, yet no matter how the waves battered and crashed the castle did not yield or fall, not a brick was broken not a turret untimely unhinged from one of its perches. Only calmness and a sense of being was he, in this state all things were in motion, only the moment, the present was what mattered.
With the force as his ally his masterful blade work was making short work of the frenzied foe, his azure blade defending and attacking in seamless movements that were both minimal, efficient but deadly.
Then it hit him, not snaking tendrils as before but a palpable rippling wave that seethed and gushed forth, whatever foul being or embodiment they were striving to bring about it grew in strength and the enemy were drawing step by step and inch by inch closer to their goal to unleash whatever terror they believed would somehow no doubt bring about their eternal glory and salvation and the doom of force knows what.
Steffo pulled back his left hand and flung it forward sending a telekinetic shockwave blasting the remaining dregs of spawn hurtling backward, taking a moment and this reprieve he had made he extended his senses and took a furtive look around the field of battle as it were, he noted that to like himself his brethren had been involved in staving off the Gungan spawn, yet now it seemed the initial calling or command that had driven them well bent against the Jedi was now pulling their strings as the remnants of the divided forces that had been sent against them moved as one hive mind toward the focal point, toward the ritual site.
This mission was only a success if they achieved their goal, his goal had been to protect Lash as the younger Jedi made his way toward the ritual site in the Hope's of ending this sordid ritual, thus far Steffo had upheld his task and held his portion of the horde off, with a change of tactic came the time to adapt. The Jedi gripping his blade in his hand turned swiftly the lose dirt crunching beneath his boot as he then ran toward the ritual site. It looked like now Lash were headed into the thick of it and if whatever being or bekngs guided the spawn to defend the ritual site itself then it was now his mission to help Lash make his way and put an end to the ritual itself.

Alright, I can do it
He said to himself, leaping into action, trying to clear out his mind and find tranquility within. The other Jedi, it seemed, were being good enough at distracting those things, so Lash figured out he had to move fast. Dagger and saber in hand he tried to reach the runes. Fortunately, the cultists were busy trying to cleave and cut master Rancis in half, and he was mostly unnoticed by everyone else around the chrysalis.
Use the pointy end!
The young Jedi rushed forward, nimble and quick of feet, propelling himself forward with the help of the Force, and swiftly stabbed the nearest rune. He kinda expected something to blow up, but seemingly it didn't. He reached for the second rune, dagger in hand.

Shaodru stood resolute and unperturbed as he continued to chant and weave the magic from across the massive seal into the Chrysalis. Strand after strand was connected from the runes around the edge of the seal to the center point. The slightest of creases appeared upon Shaodru's face as he felt the focused blast of the Light strike at the seal. Several strands shook loose, the cultists they were attached to stumbled backwards away from their runes. he growled in frustration, but continued on with his work. His hands raising up toward the sky.
The guard of Gungans nearest the seal were mostly preoccupied with combating the Jedi forces, but a couple of them turned their attention upon the Togruta Jedi. Moving in from the third rune in the direction he was heading, their blasters firing upon the boy.
A cry of pain sounded out and a pillar of flame rose up into the air as the first cultist off to Shaodru's right was sacrificed, his soul traveled through the strand and fed into Zhori. A few beats passed, and the next pillar of flame appeared as the next soul was fed to the Chrysalis. A circle of Gungan's pulled in tightly around Shaodru. Despite the danger that was quickly approaching, the Sorcerer was intent upon finishing his work. His mortal life was fleeting, but his glory would be eternal. He wished to live to see the birth of a god, but before this was over, he would sacrifice his own power should these Jedi interfere too much further with the summoning
